it is!! it’s the most indulgent thing i’ve written and is just a load of sporadic cute moments between them in their dingy unheated apartment as they make jam & get taught each others native languages & spend weeks making the comfiest bed

A cat tree for christmas! Embroidered on my Husqvarna Topaz 20, and then pieced together. I did finish quilting it and I used the green from the cornerstones to bind it before I sold it as a wall hanging, I just forgot to take a photo of it when it was completed.

I tried to get all cat colours, orange, black, white, grey, then christmas colours for the scarves.

This may only have been about 20”x45”, but I found the most gorgeous snowflake quilting pattern to put on it in silver thread. It took a good two hours to quilt it because the snowflakes were so damn intricate.

My Doctor’s do NOT follow the Timeless Child arc!

I need to address the elephant in the room, and that’s the fact that I don’t follow the Timeless Child arc on this blog (or with my Doctor’s.) It’s okay if others like it, you won’t see me bashing on it, but do know this blog is NOT following the Timeless Child arc.

Instead, my Doctor’s origin stories follow the Wilderness Years of Doctor Who where the Doctor mentions in the TV Movie that he is Half-Human on his mother’s side. It is further explored in the Doctor Who Novels: THE ROOM WITH NO DOORS, THE GALLIFREY CHRONICLES, THE INFINITY DOCTORS, and so on.

Here’s the important things to note:

PENELOPE GATE is my Doctor’s mother. Yes, she is human and has red hair.

The Time Lord named ULYSSES is my Doctor’s father.

And yes, IRVING BRAXIATEL is my Doctor’s older brother – Lungbarrow brothers! I also acknowledge them having sisters too.

Speaking on the subject of Lungbarrow, the Doctor was loomed/born into the House of Lungbarrow, but they aren't the Other or some hidden secret ancient founder or co-founder of Gallifrey. Nor do they have any top secret hidden lives.

This means Susan Foreman is still their granddaughter too.

With that in mind, it also means the Doctor has had a partner (let’s say Patience) and most definietly has children out there. Thanks.

They're really just a rebel Time Lord that wants to see the universe and has a fondness for humanity and adventure and likes to help out where ever they can. What’s not special about that?

knitting advice: you can add unfinished and/or abandoned knitted pieces to your bed to increase the level of Bedding, making your sleep more comfortable and giving you more enrichment.

7” completed on the first bonker! I also got a pair of new needles and sketched out the lengths last night. 🥰 hoping to finish the first bonker today and move on to the orange!

This week was going great, right up until I lost a filling today (one that got put in last week). Ew. Ew and ick and ow. Back to the dentist for me sooner than expected I suppose. I've been able to write a little more recently (around work and the usual other bollocks) which has been nice. I'm taking my time on this one which makes a change, but I want to get it right. Outside of that, therapy has been a lot of heavy lifting, but I suppose it's because I'm putting the work in? I've even evolved a makeup look I wear to sessions (enough base and eyebrows to feel human, minimal mascara to allow for an impromptu cry).

I've also gotten hooked on Vinted and am saving far too many comfy jumpers and arbitrary treats. As a seasoned thrifter it appeals to my lurking and foraging instincts. I was even able to buy identical back-ups of my favourite (now very well-worn) scarf and comfiest dress, which is an entirely normal thing to do that will not be taking notes on.
