Well guess who went to see another Six performance in edinburough 2023. It's been a year since the last one ^^;

The audience participaion was hilarious in this one, when Cathy Parr had her turn and the music died down and it went quiet for a second someone in the audience said "Awkward."

I almost lost it, and when anna cleeves had her song and said Henry didn't like her for her meager looks another audience member wolf whistled.

It was a lot of fun :D Also my first performance in newcastle when Anna jacket is supposed to be ripped off it didn't happen the first time I watched it but it happened here and it was amazing, you'd think you watch six once and thats it.

But honestly each version is always different Catherine of aragon was so TINY in this one I was like she's as tall as me! And she's wearing heels aw!

In the castle show Katherines part when she said "Just friends," she shrugged off the others hands and it was kinda funny yet heartbreaking- so my point is that each show and each actress who plays a part sometimes gives a character a moment to shine. But no matter what someone always cries at Jane seymoars heart of stone.

anyway I'll make another post with ALL the photos I took and the close ups I was able to get along with the name of the actresses who played there. Along with the booklet from the newcastle show [I just love six and love talking about the show/outfits/actors etc]

You're so right about AI being bland and how everyone should use it instead of imagining what it is and isn't but I cannot touch ChatGPT with a ten foot pole after spending months next to the only man I Literally Cannot Stand at work use it for everything from Listing Pros And Cons Of Living In The City For A Conversation I'm Having In Person Right Now all the way to This Is Basically A Search Engine, Right? I've Never Heard of Cthulu Before, I'll Ask ChatGPT Who Came Up With It And What The Stories He Wrote Are.

Like, my take on ChatGPT is just...it isn't glamorous, one way or another. But the people who borderline worship it are extremely annoying specifically *because* it isn't glamorous. I can at least get the fear-mongering more, especially since we DO have this phenomenon where something doesn't have to be *good*, it just needs to be *convincing* for people to use it over human beings. (See: Google translate.) I know that people are absolutely using it to, say, write books and stuff. (I think that a lot of the concerns re: fanfic don't...hold up as much as people think, like this so called wave of people plugging in hundreds of fanfics, just because anyone who's used ChatGPT knows there's a character limit. It could be they're using another one, but I think that a lot of people just enjoy stoking fandom's anxieties over this sort of thing.)

Basically my approach isn't "use ChatGPT religiously" or even "like ChatGPT"; it's more..."realistically understand what it is and isn't so you can frame your criticisms correctly instead of relying on a bunch of Tumblr posts by people who have ALSO never used it."

(2) Dáithí Ó gÓgáin - Famously not a female Celticist.

(3) Barry Cunliffe, decidedly not a female Celticist.

(4) Anne Ross, see Aldhouse-Green. (Also...that book....is not highly regarded in the field.)

(5) Máire Herbert - FINALLY a female Celticist who's also widely respected and whose work holds up strongly. I sure hope that this isn't the only time this hap-oh, wait.

(6) Proinsias Mac Cana - Not a female Celticist.

When I asked it to write a sequel to Romeo and Juliet and it gave me a baby who defies the laws of...basic...biology.

Basically the moral of the story from these shouldn't JUST be "ChatGPT is flawed" but more "It CAN actually be useful for coming up with ideas, the same as a random name generator, and it's very fun to torment with false information, but just like a random name generator, don't put more stock in it than it's worth."

hmm that's difficult mainly bc i really don't watch that many teen drama so i don't have a solid list of actors in the appropriate age range lmao but i love a challenge nonetheless so here we go!!

for wyatt i would kind of love to cast something of an already famous person to kind of really hit home the idea of Legacy tm but the issue is bc wyatt is so big in narrative he kind of just. gets less plot. so that actually might not work. so tbh really i think the move would lowkey be casting a nepo baby. honestly i would love wyatt russell (same name besties?!?!?) but he is just a shade old. if you've only seen him in falcon and the winter soldiers i am begging you to expand and see his cali babe range.... he's in black mirror, 22 jump street, ingrid goes west, lodge 49... babes. like. beyond that, charlie hall who was in sex lives of college girls as that like. really manic guy whitney went out with. and then third option but also on the older side would be alex roe who played the male lead on the tv siren that i think like. only five people watched (excluding myself: four). i think he could swing the necessary earnest energy.

chris honestly should probably be The Star kind of hte one who brings the most draw to the show ideally someone who already has something of a fanbase in a gifset before i've used thomas doherty before who checks two boxes in that he already has an established fan base coming from both the descendant's franchise & also the gossip girl reboot and of course he is also devastatingly handsome in a very cliche way and we already know can play a slut. so that's actually three boxes. another option which i thnk would Slay but again he's a little older would be logan lerman <3 like. y'all see it rite? wild card would be tommy martinez.

for melinda i think a couple solid options would be sarah catherine hook from first kill, sarah desjardins from. well im gonna say yellowjackets but i know her from riverdale lmao. or kaitlyn dever from booksmart also potentially kaylee bryant from legacies or brenna damico from descendants

for the twins tamora & kat, ideally, they are played by twins. but i do not know a lot of famous acting twins those would have to be found. however, some actors i really like would be liv hewson from santa clarita diet (gone too soon, rip). i think louisa harland from derry girls could be really fun. katherine langford from. well. best known for 13rw but fuck that show. wild card would be storm reid from a wrinkle in time.

henry jr i will be honest i have no idea what he looks like in my head other than he has dark hair. so i'm just gonna spit out some options. archie renaux from shadow and bone. gavin leatherwood from sabrina maybe. mekki leeper from slocg. anirudh pisharody from 9-1-1. booboo steward from (twilight) julie and the phantoms. asher angel from shazam.

pj functionally serves as the leader of the cupitches so i would love to again see her as someone with a good amount of draw honestly i would love to see danielle rose russell as her like those scenes in legacies where she plays lizzie disguised as hope is the exact vibe we're going for. other excellent options imo would be madelyn cline or sabrina carpenter

parker and pj together kind of carry the emotional brunt of the cupitches mainly because peyton is so young it's just easier to defer to her sisters til she's old enough to properly shoulder the burden of a solo narrative. so w both pj and parker the actress needs to slay the solid exterior // cracks slip through; for pj that's the super cool capable princess form parker that's the badass unflinching warrior, both of them are hiding A Lot. so really, any of the pj castings could work for parker imo and vice versa. but some parker specific ones would be savannah lee may from julie and the phantoms, i love that she's kind of got like this baby faced nice energy but can play just like the mean girl. i would love that dichotomy w parker of someone who does not look violent always packing a knife you know? other than that: emma myers from wednesday, odessa azion, or emily alyn lind from gossip girl (tho between you and me eal is my personal fancast for penn)

for peyton she really is the baby of the family so again it would ideally probably be someone new to the scene bc they're so young but i think good existing options would be trinity likins who plays jellybean on riverdale or shay rudolph from the babysitters club.

and then as other casts for the eventual bianca mimi keene from sex education or amita suman from shadow and bone. for melinda's roommate ale mariselo zumbado from genera+ion possibly, ale's character is mexican so i would really love a mexican actress to be cast. google is not aiding me in this hunt. melinda's (new) whitelighter effie freya mavor from skins can defo do the scottish accent, i also think gracie dzienny from first kill & slocg could bring that necessarily wackadoodle energy. over with kat's plotline viola could be played by bola koleosho. more characters to come who ideally would also fit here but no spoilers yet !!

A little scrap of an OC-Inquisitor Dragon Age fic I’ve been working on -- this takes place during In Your Heart Shall Burn, Corypheus’s assault on Haven. 

Currently the OC’s name is Catherine, but I am beginning to wonder if it wouldn’t be easier reading to make it Katherine, to distinguish her from Cassandra more easily for people who see “Ca” and go “aha!”

"Maybe you will—distract it somehow. Escape. Find a way," Cullen offered.

He clearly didn't believe it himself. But it was kind of him to try, she supposed.

So many weeks of wondering how she could avert this outcome, of getting wildly upset about it and avoiding it entirely, and like an idiot here Catherine was, dealing—or rather, not dealing—with the exact situation she'd been so determined not to think about.

“I’m glad," she said, in the steadiest voice she could manage, "that we established the evacuation route out of Haven. And I am glad that we have closed the Breach."

Maybe when she died she'd wake up in her old body again.

No. Catherine knew that wasn't right even as she thought it, with the certainty of her own hands and her own steps.

When she died, she'd just be dead.

She continued staring at the chantry wall for a moment, and she wished fervently that even this feeling could last: that she could stay, staring, frightened, but alive, in this moment forever.

"Inquisition!" Cullen called, turning away. He began rallying them for their evacuation.

Yes. He had a job to do.

And apparently so did she.

She went to the doors of the chantry, cracked them open, and slipped out quietly, before her nerve broke and she—before she cried, or screamed, or vomited or ran away. Before any of the overwhelming panic in her guts found some way out of her.

Her knees felt like they were about to melt and unhinge completely.

Corypheus was out there somewhere, looking for her with his blighted dragon. Catherine didn't want to go. She wanted to go back into the Chantry. She wanted to be the first out on that mountain trail, evacuating to the safety of the mountains. She wanted—

It would probably be better if nobody saw her start crying, she thought, trying to steady her breath. Bad for morale, that.

She had agreed. She would distract them for as long as it took to evacuate Haven. She would fire the trebuchet into the mountainside and bury the village, if she could. If Corypheus didn’t kill her before then.

She couldn't go back inside now and say, 'Excuse me, Cullen, I am about to piss myself, please don't make me walk out there to my death, please. Please.' She just couldn't.

The words stuck in her throat anyway. They burned like acid. she wanted to go and say them, she wanted to call this whole plan off—even though she'd insisted upon the evacuation route, even though she'd known this was coming, and even though it was absolutely her fault for failing to plan around it.

Catherine had sat, stupid and numb with anxiety, marinating in her own fear of it for months, and now here she was—she'd done nothing to change her direction, and she'd ended up exactly where she'd been headed.

And she was still so frightened.

The only thing that got her out the chantry door was her own stupid fucking pride.

She was too ashamed of what a coward she was.

The snow was cold. The smoke reeked. Above, the dragon gave its bone-rattling howl again, flying so low that its colossal shadow blotted out the moon and plunged the landscape into darkness for seconds at a time.

In the distance, she could see the flicker of red lyrium growing out of a figure. He hadn't spotted her yet—but it was only a matter of time. Her hands gripped the hilt of her sword.

The chantry doors creaked.

"If it's a spectacle they want, we shall give them one," Vivienne said, throwing her shoulders back and stepping out of the shelter of the chantry right beside her.

She flinched. Her head swung around.

"Vivienne."

"Really, darling," she replied, without looking at her, almost chiding—but too soft to mean it. She lifted her chin. "We’ve had this conversation. I came to the Inquisition for the opportunity to decide my own fate."

She unslung her staff from her back. Wintry magic encased her fingers. Her breath, unlike Catherine’s, did not steam in the air. She was cold and still, like a winter lake.

You couldn't fault her courage.

Catherine took a deep breath. It shook, but the second one was steadier.

Somehow, not being alone made a difference.

The doors of the chantry slammed heavily shut behind them one last time.

"Let's go," said Cassandra. Her voice was like iron. Like the rest of her.

And so they went.
