Part one of Ivypool's Heart cats! Spoilers under the cut:
First up is Galestar of Stormclan, formerly of Windclan. She might be one of my new favorite leaders y'all... I put her and Stripestar's unnamed kits here, bc I figured any content made of Galestar would at least include her first litter as well. The hair and tail are supposed to be curled at the ends there, it was difficult for me to draw it so hopefully it translates lol. Next is Stripestar of Stormclan, formerly of Thunderclan, and Rosebush who might be named Shadebush? Idk, I went with Rosebush since that's what the wiki has. Rosebush was Thunderclan before Stormclan. Then Whitebreeze and Swiftwing, who were both Windclan before Stormclan. All of them with living eyes even though we only see them in Starclan. Next up is Slate and Beach, sons of Flurry from the Sisters. Beach has a scar on his flank from the infected wound. Y'all don't even know how disappointed I was to read that he was a dark tabby, I was so sad, I had a sand-colored design drawn up before I had even gotten the book :( At least I could bring over the fluffy hair tuft and freckles. After them is hostile kittypet gang No. 200; Pumpernickel, Zeke, and Curry. And finally is Jake the Other One, and Sweetums, whom Tempest was said to take a liking to. Jake wasn't described with a fish hook earring, but I wanted to give him a little something extra to help differentiate him more from the expansive list of black and white cats. It was going to be a crab claw at first, but I changed it.

Bonefall's Forgotten Warriors
If you've ever set out to make a WC fan project, you've surely heard of Su Susann's Missing Kits. It was a series of authorial statements giving names to previously unnamed cats, and adding interesting little stories to many of them.
But there's also a TON of "Forgotten Warriors" that were created through timeline inconsistencies, offhanded authorial statements, or single throwaway lines in super editions. By their nature, finding these cats on the wiki is a pain in the butt. In this post I hope to compile these cats as a resource for the fandom.
So first, let's define a Forgotten Warrior.
A Forgotten Warrior does not have a big presence. Primrosepaw was first named as a Missing Kit with no mention of her name on the page or in the allegiances. Over time, she has appeared in several books and is now a widely known name in the fandom. But Blossomkit, whose only appearance is in Su Susann's Missing Kits and the worst field guide, will count as a Forgotten Warrior.
A Forgotten Warrior is not just a nondescript Clan cat. For example, if a "ThunderClan warrior" speaks up at a gathering and their name and description is not mentioned, that could be anyone. Same applies to a description that could easily describe an existing character in a Clan-- if a "White ShadowClan Warrior" appears in a modern arc, that may just be Stonewing, BUT, the "Tabby Queen with Distinct Black Markings" of TPB doesn't match any other, so she is a Forgotten Warrior.
A minor appearance inconsistency is not a Forgotten Warrior. Just to pre-empt wiseassery. Blue-eyed Dovewing and Green-eyed Dovewing are not two separate cats-- but I will note down MASSIVE appearance changes in background characters, like the magic color AND gender-changing Stoatfur (just add water!)
(also, I will not be compiling all of the random kittypets, rogues, and loners because there is too many of them. I could, however, be persuaded to compile all cats of a specific group, like The Kin, Sisters, BloodClan, etc.)
This post is an updating list as I find and catalogue more cats. Last update: 8/21/23, version 1.1 Added new category: Sudden Elders

Major Inconsistencies and Replacements
Cypresspaw F Brown and white; appears in Thunder and Shadow and is replaced by four Lakeheart kits.
Wavepaw F Silver and white; appears in Thunder and Shadow and is replaced by four Lakeheart kits.
Stoatfur X First appearing as a ginger tom, they become a tortie-and-white molly between books.
Ivytail F Originally solid brown in The Sight, suddenly becomes a black, white, and tortie queen in Night Whispers. Is in the nursery for a while, but the kittens are never born and she retires after the Great Battle.
Happykit M A fan name for a kitten killed in the Great Battle which the author approved of. Changed to "Weaselkit" by the family tree.
Silverpaw X Appears in the allegiances of Fire and Ice and Forest of Secrets and then vanishes.
Greenflower F Supposed to be the foster mother for Feathertail and Stormfur, forgotten between books and replaced by Mosspelt.
Gorsetail M A pale tom warrior who is trapped by humans during the destruction of the Forest, suddenly replaced by ANOTHER Gorsetail who is a silver-and-white molly in the Po3 arc
Unnamed Background Cats
Distinct Tabby Queen From Into the Wild, greets Goldenflower as she leaves the nursery. ThunderClan.
Tortie Molly From Fire and Ice, seems to be a friend of Morningflower. From WindClan.
Gray Tom From Fire and Ice, another exiled warrior of WindClan who alerts the Clan to Fireheart's presence.
Tabby Tom From Fire and Ice, another exiled warrior of WindClan. Carries Morningflower's kitten; May be Onewhisker.
Silver Tabby with Black Thorn Claws M ShadowClan warrior fighting against ThunderClan and the Rebels. Could be a mistaken description of Boulder, who is solid silver, or Wolfstep, who is solid gray.
Field Guide Exclusives
Smokepaw X From Secrets of the Clans. May be a consistency error, given that the authors forgot that Smokepaw TNP fell off a cliff and they could be Smokefoot. Close with Tawnypelt, likes to climb trees and watch boats.
Pikepaw M Large, dark gray. The only serious apprentice in his training session of BOTC while the siblings squabble. RiverClan.

Tanglepaw M Large, big-pawed, long-furred. Mean to Rushpaw. Brother of Rush and Duck. RiverClan.
Rushpaw F Short legged, tiny, and pathetic. Awful at swimming. Girlfail. Sister of Duck and Tangle. RiverClan.
Silverpaw X Sees Onestar and the POV kittypets on RiverClan territory, and brings them to Reedwhisker.
Adderkit M Lost spirit baby in Cats of the Clans from WindClan. Killed by an adder and named after it. Forced to listen to Rock say dumb shit about Nightcloud at the world's most uncomfortable sleepover.
Spiderfoot M Anxious, battle-averse ShadowClan warrior fresh out of Apprenticeship at the Eclipse Battle, tormented by RiverClan warriors while hiding in an abandoned building. Said to have left to become a kittypet
Rabbittail M WindClan ancestor of Webfoot who was caught in a human trap for REAL rabbits, but chewed his way out.
ShadowClan Antpelt M From Battles of the Clans; probably an error. Threatens Pouncetail of RiverClan for scolding his apprentice.
ShadowClan Antpelt's Apprentice X Is rude to an elder. Particularly odd because the real Antpelt never gets an apprentice.
Pale, Silvery-Furred Tabby Warrior M ShadowClan warrior on a sudden invasion on ThunderClan, fought off by Darkstripe and Dustpaw. "Rescued" by Russetfur, but then sand is kicked in their eyes. Could be an error of Boulder, who is a solid silver tom, or Archeye just before retirement.
Sudden Elders
These cats suddenly appear as elders despite never having been seen before.
Darkfoot M Appears as a WindClan elder without warning when the Clans get to the lake.
Oatwhisker M Appears as a WindClan elder without warning when the Clans get to the lake.

Graystripe's Heart (or Hope's Beginning)
The (Short) Return Of Bloodclan and Redemption of ???
Shortly after the rescue of Darkkit, Rogues begin being spotted on the outskirts of the Clans. Windclan claims someone is stealing prey, Riverclan smells intruders on the borders, and worst of all, Shadowclan has detected Bloodclan scent on the Thunderpath. So Longstar sends Graystripe (still mourning his mother) and Sandstorm to find out the truth, with Fireheart demanding to come along – the Stars say it’s important!
So the three cats set off to Fireheart’s old Twoleg Den, meeting Smudge and his new mate Hattie. The two Kittypets tell the Can cats about the return of Bloodclan under a cat named Fury – but also of a pair of cats making a peaceful group, and trying to dismantle Bloodclan as well. The new unnamed Clowder’s leaders are unknown, save that they’re a scarred tom and a brown molly.
The Kittypets and Clan cats are interrupted by Gremlin and Scraps, siblings from the Unnamed Clowder, warning that Bloodclan Recruiters are chasing the pair of them. The Clan Cats hide under the edge of the Twoleg den with Gremlin, and a cat named Snake attempts to attack Smudge and Hattie for protecting Scraps. Hattie slaps the crap out of Snake, but a few more Bloodclan cats appear, and Scraps tries to surrender himself to save the Kittypets (and his hidden sister). But a twisted, gravely snarl sends the Bloodclanners running, and a heavily scarred tom approaches a relieved Scraps.
A highly familiar black striped gray tabby, with a horrid scar on his throat.
--DARKSTRIPE?!?!?--
Graystripe bolts from under the Twoleg den, with Sandstorm and Fireheart nearly riding his frazzled tail. The former Clan cat goes bushy with startlement as they approach, but Fireheart keeps Graystripe and Sandstorm from tearing him apart. Scraps, very confused, identifies Darkstripe as the Unnamed Clowder’s tom leader, and Gremlin chirps that he ran off her abusive former mate! Full of conflicting emotions, Graystripe demands an explanation, and Darkstripe wheezes out, with tears in his eyes…how sorry he is. But he won’t fight them, he probably deserves what’s coming – and Fireheart cuts him off. Let’s talk somewhere else, somewhere safer. Darkstripe nods, and after Fireheart extracts a promise from Sandstorm to not just kill her former Clanmate the second his back is turned, the scarred tomcat leads the Clan Cats and the siblings into the Twoleg Territory.
After some Very Tense Travel, the group comes to an abandoned Twoleg den, the walls covered in strange Twoleg berrypaint art. Darkstripe leads them to a small opening, guarded by a pair of scraggly but friendly cats. They greet Darkstripe and the siblings with unashamed friendliness, and the Clan cats are surprised to find themselves greeted with similar cheer. After introductions are made, Hazard and Snaggle let everyone into the Den.
Inside is a well set-up camp, with obvious dens for nursing parents and kits, elders being cared for by a few younger cats, and a prey pile, with freshkill and a cat dismantling a large bird. Darkstripe is greeted warmly, and the Clan Cats are experiencing a great deal of emotions. Sandstorm is still rightfully angry – Darkstripe tried to kill Sorrelkit! Fireheart is wary but hopeful – maybe Darkstripe has changed? These cats seem to think highly of him! And Graystripe?
Graystripe wonders who Darkstripe really is. Because the cat he sees is NOTHING like the older brother he thought had died at his claws. The older brother he loved still, somewhere deep inside.
A brown colorpoint molly greets Darkstripe, and introduces herself as Sasha. The pair sit the Clan cats down in a private alcove and explain what’s happened. Darkstripe was groomed by Tigerclaw (Darkstripe and Sasha both refusing to add the Star even sarcastically to his name) and was rescued from the battlefield by an injured Sasha, who was looking for Tigerclaw as well. She had been his secret mate (to which Sandstorm shudders at) and had realized how horrible a cat Tigerclaw truly was only after her injury. The two of them had healed from their respective injuries – Sasha only stating it was Tigerclaw’s fault – and had tried to go on together. But there were so many cats that needed help, and with Darkstripe’s Clan knowledge and Sasha’s kind nature, they had formed a Clowder. Somewhere that they could atone for their sins and make a better future for street cats. Sandstorm demands to know if that should keep her claws out of Darkstripe’s hide, and Fireheart has to jump on her to stop it, but Graystripe pushes forward.
You’re sorry. Yes, Darkstripe tearily mewls.
You’re sorry for Sorrel. Yes, he states clearly.
For Bramble and Tawny. Yes, he sighs.
For Stonefur, for Fireheart. Yes! Darkstripe sputters.
For mother? YES! He yowls!
For ME?!
YES!!! Darkstripe screams, raspy and broken.
And Graystripe LUNGES.
He catches Darkstripe in a tight embrace and sobs.
Mother will be so proud of you in Starclan. I’m so proud of you.
Sandstorm sputters from under the (teeny tiny itty bitty) weight of Fireheart as the brothers weep into each other’s fur, one more wound of Tigerclaw’ wickedness beginning to heal.
Sasha asks Fireheart and Sandstorm for advice off to the side, as she’s no Healer or Brawler, but some cats have been interested, and would they mind giving advice while they’re here? Sandstorm startling agrees, with Fireheart patting her on the shoulder cheerily. The pair head off with Sasha, leaving the brothers some privacy.
By the time Graystripe and Darkstripe have pulled themselves together, it’s dusk, and Sandstorm and Fireheart have been busy. Fireheart has a group of cats huddled around a Queen and her kits and Gremlin, listing the signs of kit diseases, and Sandstorm is running a group training session, with Scraps actually knocking down a cat larger than him to wild and enthusiastic cheering. Graystripe joins a group of cats fixing up some nests, lending a paw and some advice, and Darkstripe leans on Sasha, drained but finally whole in some small way. Fireheart calls the Clowder a hope for the future and a good place to rest, and Gremlin loudly proclaims they should be the Hope Clowder! The cry is taken up, and the Unnamed Clowder becomes the Hope’s Rest Clowder (Hope Clowder for short).
The Clan Trio stays the night, and the next morning are awoken by Snaggle hollering that Bloodclan is on the move. Everyone wakes quickly, and the Clowder Cats barricade the entrance, leaving only a peephole. A group of Bloodclan cats are headed straight for Thunderclan!
Sandstorm demands that the Clan Cats leave to warn the Clans, but startlingly some Hope Clowder Cats ask Darkstripe and Sasha if they can help take down Bloodclan there as well – they’re weaker spread out in two places, and there are cats that need rescuing from Bloodclan’s clutches! Fireheart tells Graystripe and Sandstorm to go warn the Clans, and asks if he can help the Clowder rescue the prisoners. Darkstripe agrees, and Graystripe charges his brother with protecting the cat he once tried to kill.
Sandstorm and Graystripe escort a small group of Hope Clowder Cats to the border of Thunderclan, and Graystripe rushes ahead to warn Longstar ahead of the approaching Bloodclan cats. Graystripe yowls out his warning to the Camp Guards, who repeat the warning as cats begin scrambling to battle and defense positions. Longstar asks where Sandstorm and Fireheart are, my guy they BETTER be fine, and Graystripe assures him they are, just as the first Bloodclan cat leaps over the camp wall.
Chaos ensues, but suddenly Sandstorm and her volunteers charge the Bloodclanners from behind, scattering the Bloodclan Rogues. Fury is downed by a furious (HA) Flamewish, who bodily throws the molly over the camp wall, with her living followers rushing away. Sandstorm keeps the Thunderclanners from attacking the Hope Clowder cats, and they view the Clan with awe and curiosity. Graystripe and Sandstorm tell Longstar and Flamewish what’s going on, with the Hope Clowder cats chiming in. Flamewish is Very Concerned about Darkstripe, but Hazard, who came with the Hope Battle Patrol, tells her the story of how Darkstripe saved her from an attacking Bloodclan patrol, and nursed her back to health. This placates Flamewish, but she still worries about her brother…
Meanwhile--
The rescue Patrol comes to the nearly unguarded Bloodclan encampment, a seemingly abandoned Carrionplace with thin woven silvery reeds forming a strong wall. Scraps leads the rescuers to a hole in the Carrionplace wall, and everyone slides through with relative ease, save one cat losing some long fur. They approach a small, enclosed area, with a Twoleg-made Dog Den and several Bloodclan cats guarding the area. Darkstripe leads half of the patrol to attack the guards, while Sasha and Fireheart lead the other half to rescue the prisoners.
It goes relatively smoothly, with the only hiccup being a guard going for the smaller Fireheart. The guard later regrets this decision, leaving with less ear and more scarred skin that he started with. The rescue patrol leads the injured cats back to Hope’s Rest, and after treating them, Fireheart finds himself alone with Sasha. And finds he has to ask her something. He’s noticed something important and…
What happened to your kits?
Sasha buckles, and begs Fireheart to not tell a soul – only Darkstripe knows about them. She had three kits by Tigerclaw, and after losing one of them, and leaving the others somewhere safe, she went to find – and perhaps wound – the cat who hurt her so. Only to find Tigerclaw dead, and another cat near death, with her pain in his eyes. Fireheart swears to never tell anyone, save under pain of death. She sighs, and wonders where her little Tadpole went after his death, and Fireheart tells her of the Afterlives that Starclan knows of. She weeps then, in relief – he’ll be waiting for her.
After making sure all the patients are stable, Snaggle escorts Fireheart to Thunderclan, and after a quick reunion, the Hope’s Rest Clowder cats head home, laden with herbs and cuttings and instructions and a new ally. Bloodclan is scattered, nevermore to gather the same power again, and all is quiet for a time.
(And in Riverclan, a brown and white tom sleeps peacefully next to a golden brown molly, safe and sound)
(And elsewhere, a black and grey tom rests safely)

jayfeather and/or lionblaze :3 ?
Jayfeather is a blue mackerel tabby, Lionblaze is a red smoke with white.
I have a post about Jayfeather here, but I wanna explain Lionblaze in detail now, because there's A Story there.
So. Golden tabby. I don't deal with wide band, so at first i just said let's make him somthing cream or red. I already made Leafpool tortie, so it's all right on orange front. (Although this makes all of his daughters torties.)
Bear with now, beacuse i'm going to go on a sidetrack now, and explain the backgrounds.
I have a warriors au; or more precisely i upgraded an old story into a warriors au. I made an oc (original clan) from the cats who had lived in my head for years, and said that the clan was founded by two runaway warriors from the canon clans, who introduced this way of living to the local strays.
I often use silver in my warriors headcanons, because the books love to describe some cats as silvers, and because sometimes it works very well with other descriptions too. But as for my own cats, i decided that originally my strays didn't have the silver allele in their gene pool (since actually it's not very common around here), and only these clan-founder warrior fugitives introduced it.
And then. And then. I realized i have the perfect candidates for these so far unnamed fugitives. Because you see, there's a pair of warriors who once ran away from the clans to live together, and one of them has the silver allele, because i've been headcanoning him as black smoke from the very beginning.
And so my story became "Canon Divergence - Crowfeather and Leafpool Doesn't Return to The Clans".
This meant Leafpool's kits had to be the next step in introducing the silver allele into my new clan. This au never had a fully planned story, but i knew that most likely i wouldn't give kits to either Jayfeather or Hollyleaf. So I have to make Lionblaze silver.
In canon this doesn't have any relevance; none of his kits need to be silver, but I really wanted matching canon and au designs, so... this is why Lionblaze is a red smoke for me 😸
On a more canon-adjacent note, i think i'll give him white spotting too. Spotfur had to get it from somewhere, and the only reason I was reluctant is beacuse i remembered when Jaypaw was in Lionpaw's head during the end of The Sight, he described his paws as "pale golden". But now i looked up Lionblaze's wiki page for this ask, and it just said "pale paws", so i checked the book too, and really, the golden part was just my brain supplying me with false memories all along. Pale paws could specifically mean he has white socks.
This is of course a very type-y maine coon, but the color would be something like this.
(And i like that this makes all of the three impossible as Squirrelflight's and Brambleclaw's kits. Hollyleaf would be tortie, Jayfeather would be cream, Lionblaze would be simply red without the white and the smoke. (If we interpret Squirrelflight's white paw as low-white that's different from ws. I usually do.) I like this; it's like a little hint for those who know some cat genetics that something is not right here.)
(warrior cats genetics ask game)
#unfortunately in canon this doesn't work because impossible genetics is the norm#ask and answer#warrior cats genetics#they aren't called hollyleaf lionblaze and jayfeather in my au#but i used their canon names for easier understanding#lionblaze#red smoke with white#cats

GreyStripe's Vow Rewrite: The Hoarding House Cats
Cats in the area refer to the house itself as "The House of Withering Flowers"
The name refers to both the fact that the house is surrounded by a massive, overgrown garden, and the the cats being named after flowers
The "withering" part is in reference to the poor conditions of the garden. It is also in reference to the cats slowly dying from neglect
The land that the house resides on is massive and easy for cats to get lost in, especially for the cats who have lived in the house for an extended amount of time
Many of the cats who used to be apart of the home are often characterized as being awkward, weird, socially/emotionally distant, and prone to lash out at strangers. They have a hard time socializing
Extreme therapy was needed for them all which is thankfully provided towards the ones who joined Warriorclan and the ones who allowed themselves to be rescued by the humans
I've decided to give some of the unnamed cats of The House of Withering Flowers names, which also includes any new names they've given themselves via Warriorclan. Names from their time as Withering Flower cats will be shortened to "THoWF". I will also include descriptions if they have none.
Expectant she-cat: Cinnamon tabby, American Curl with a hairless tail (covered up with a sock) and red-ish eyes Names: Begonia (THoWF), Curly Fry (Current), SockTail (Nickname)
She-cat with 3 kits: Brown and white bicolor with bright green eyes Names: Unknown THoWF name, Kiwi (Current)
First kit: A short furred, black and white she-cat with bright green eyes Names: No THoWF name, Durian (Current, by her mother only), WildBlight (Current)
Second kit: A long furred, brown and white tom-cat with green eyes and a stubby tail Names: No THoWF name, Spud (Current)
Third kit: A long furred brown and white tom-cat with bright green eyes Names: No THoWF name, Lychee (Current)
Small tabby-and-white she-cat: Color point with ocean blue eyes, short furred and very small Names: Yarrow (THoWF), Mini Flood (Nickname), TinyTorrent (Current)
Sandy colored tom-cat: Soft furred with mint green eyes, round ears, and white markings on his paws and chest Names: Chia (THoWF), StrudelBelly (Current)
Old tabby she-cat: Matted, dirty fur with dim, blue eyes. One of the cats who stayed behind for the Twolegs Names: Four o’Clock (THoWF)
Black-and-white she-cat: Thinning fur with teal eyes Names: Unknown THoWF name, Foxglove (Current)
Black-and-white tom: Has few remaining clumps of fur, Sectoral Heterochromia (Orange and blue) Names: Unknown THoWF name, Frazzle (Current)
Fang has gone through multiple name changes: Honeysuckle -> Fang -> HoneyFang. He also goes by his previous names as nicknames.
The lot of THoWF cats have lots and lots of unresolved trauma and plenty of stress responses due to their previous environment. But I also cannot stress that this rewrite will, in no way, villainize the old Twoleg that we see in canon, just as the book does the same. The Twoleg suffers from a multitude of illnesses brought on by old age, and I want it to be clear that she is suffering from an early-ish stage of Dementia. It's only fitting that I keep this in because it's genuinely one of the best and most heartbreaking things written in both the book and the series in general, at least in my opinion.

Quick guide to characters
since i don't have the energy to do everyone's full bios or allegiances right now, this is a quick list of all of the characters in Crowpaw Story!
ShadowClan
Crowpaw, he/him, healer's apprentice. 8 moons old currently; a young black tom with a white heart on his chest and green eyes. Empathetic but easily manipulated. Brother of Beetlepaw.
Larkspurleaf, she/her, healer. 80 moons old currently; a longhair seal point with a fire-like blaze marking on her face. Cold, calculating, but an excellent healer and a trusted member of the Clan. The main antagonist.
Beetlepaw, he/him, apprentice, 8 moons old currently; a young black tom with a white heart on his chest and green eyes. Quiet. Feels betrayed by his brother and StarClan. Mentor is Yarrowstar. Brother of Crowpaw.
Cricketpaw, he/him, apprentice. 6 moons old currently; a desaturated brown/maybe silver tabby-and-white tom. Bitter and bullying, he's jealous of the seemingly perfect life his half-siblings have while him and his less-than-stellar mother are abused. Half-brother to Crowpaw and Beetlepaw, littermate of Concrete/Asterkit. Current mentor is Embersnap.
Brindlebear, she/her, warrior. 37 moons old currently; a torbie-and-white she-cat with brown eyes. Stoic and duty-oriented, she does what she is told and plays her emotions close to her chest. Excellent mother. Ex-mate of Nightjay/Sylvester, mother of Beetlepaw, Crowpaw, and an unnamed kit who died shortly after birth due to a congenital defect.
Dustchirp, she/her, warrior. 39 moons old currently; a pale cream/dust-colored tabby with amber eyes. An unrepentant gossip. She was always jealous of Brindlebear and started an affair with Nightjay/Sylvester to hurt her, but then he kidnapped one of her kits and left the clan, leaving both of them broken. She's quite cruel to Cricketpaw because she had him specifically to be hurtful, not because she wanted to be a mother. She's bad at it. Mother of Cricketpaw and Concrete/Asterkit.
Yarrowstar, she/her, leader. 112 moons old currently; a dilute torbie with green eyes and many scars, including being blind in one eye. Extremely strict and a hardline traditionalist, Yarrowstar has an unshakeable bond with StarClan and is altogether seen as a fair and discerning (if perhaps overbearingly by-the-book leader). Current mentor of Beetlepaw.
Embersnap, he/him, deputy. 43 moons old currently; a vivid ginger-and-white tom with amber eyes and a distinctive fire-like marking on his face. Quite different from Yarrowstar (and believed by her and Larkspur to be a cat of prophecy), Embersnap is progressive, kind, and filled with new, strange ideas. Yarrowstar hopes he's what ShadowClan needs. Current mentor of Cricketpaw.
Hawkpool, she/her, warrior. 50 moons old currently; a medium-furred chocolate mink point with blue eyes. Close with Yarrowstar but increasingly also close with Embersnap. Calm and polite; she's pretty new so I'm still working on her. Current apprentice is Coalpaw.
Vultureface, she/her, warrior. 35 moons old currently; a longhaired black she-cat with yellow eyes. Vultureface is vain and seems to think the world revolves around her; after having half-clan kits and becoming physically abusive to one of them, she is on extremely thin ice in the Clan and is firmly on her last straw. Mother of Oatpaw (WC) and Coalpaw.
Rowanpelt, he/him, warrior. 22 moons old currently; a longhaired reddish ticked tabby with yellow eyes. Rowanpelt is also one of those "very new background characters I'm still working on" but he's here! Idolizes Embersnap.
Coalpaw, he/him, apprentice. 10 moons old currently; a longhair black tom with some slight striping and green eyes. Coalpaw participated in the abuse of his brother verbally; he has very confused feelings about being half-clan and is desperate to prove himself. Current mentor is Hawkpool. Brother of Oatpaw (WC).
RiverClan
Dragonflystar, she/her, leader. 40-60ish moons. A beautiful blue she-cat with green eyes and a heavily scarred face. Noble, tenacious, witty, and deeply brutal when she needs to be, she is often called the Leopard of RiverClan. Was led astray by her cruel mentor as an apprentice, but ultimately exposed his plot and was absolved by her Clan of her crimes (this was a Dark Forest plotline originally, but now its just a normal evil guy!).
Spidersight, he/him, healer. Easily well over 200 moons old. A black and white tabby tom with yellow eyes. He's outlived three apprentices and is as healthy as a horse, aside from some arthritis and a bit of vision loss. Stern (maybe even *mean*) but very, very reliable and honorable; refuses to give up on people and repays debts.
Petalfang, she/her, warrior. About 15 moons old. A heavily scarred/disfigured longhair calico with one yellow eye. Single-handedly fought and nearly killed (her mentor finished it off) a coyote at 11 moons old and almost died from it; Petalfang was given a dying apprentice ceremony like Brightheart and is now grappling with her new "normal" between a traumatic brain injury, partial or total loss of two senses, and a radically different appearance. Sister of Lizardfoot.
Lizardfoot, she/her, warrior. About 15 moons old. A longhair gray cat with bright yellow eyes and three legs. Lizardfoot was born three-legged and has never let it slow her down! She's currently helping her sister learn what it means to be disabled and how to cope with it, especially with her parents doing a bad job of being supportive themselves. Sister of Petalfang.
Rhododendronfeather, he/him, warrior. A beautiful long-haired calico (trans) with yellow eyes. Dramatic, flamboyant, and flowy, Rhododendronfeather is a handful (and a mouthful) but he loves his kits-- even if he's unfortunately managed to make Petalfang's recovery all about him. Father of Petalfang and Lizardfoot.
Sharktail, he/him, warrior (maybe the deputy? undecided). A blue-and-white tom with green eyes and a bobbed tail. Sharktail is a cool fellow who compartmentalizes well-- which included compartmentalizing his daughter Petalfang as already dead while she was still dying. Now that she's survived, he's still struggling to not treat her like a ghost. Father of Petalfang and Lizardfoot, brother of Ospreywhisker.
Ospreywhisker, they/them, warrior. A black-and-white tom with green eyes. Ospreywhisker was Petalfang's mentor and worked hard to get her to come out of her shell. They're very impressed with her, but worry about everyone overwhelming her-- mostly, they're just glad she's okay. Sibling of Sharktail.
ThunderClan
Cinnamonstar, he/him, leader. A cinnamon torbie (he's trans) with green eyes. Fairly new character, I don't have much written about him yet. Laidback and kind.
Oaknose, he/him, deputy. A brown tabby tom with green eyes. Fair, caring, amiable, and not well-developed. Current mentor of Batpaw.
Tawnyowl, she/her, healer. Around 30 moons old. A torbie-and-white she-cat with amber eyes. Warm, kind, altruistic, playful-- she came to ThunderClan at about eight moons old from a rogue group where she lived in fear of its leader. Now she works hard to repay the kindness ThunderClan showed her.
Batpaw, she/her, apprentice. 6 moons old. A black tabby she-cat with green eyes. Batpaw has two personality traits so far: an abundance of enthusiasm and gay dads! Apprentice of Oaknose.
WindClan
Harepounce, he/him, healer. About 50-70 moons old. A solid brown tom with extremely heavy scarring that left him completely blind. WindClan's loyal (and superstitious) healer, Harepounce has been faithfully serving WindClan's healer's den since before he was mauled by rogues and will continue to serve there until he drops dead, StarClan willing.
Thistleheart, he/him, healer. About 30-40 moons old. A gray tabby-and-white cat with vitiligo and amber eyes. Thistleheart firmly maintains that he is not a healer's apprentice, he is a healer. He is not an apprentice. He's completed his training. STOP CALLING HIM AN APPRENTICE--
Oatpaw, he/him, apprentice. 10 moons old. A pale, wiry cream-colored cat with bright green eyes. Oatpaw was born in ShadowClan, but he's taken to WindClan like a fish to water-- he's tenacious and passionate and a bit of a know-it-all, which his mentor seems to resent, but he's quickly earning the trust of his new clanmates. Brother of Coalpaw.
StarClan
Ashroot, they/them, former ShadowClan healer; an odd-eyed longhair silver tabby minkpoint. Ashroot was cold, determined, and effective-- they took their responsibilities extremely seriously and look upon Larkspurleaf's poisoning of the office with disdain. Died of wasting disease (cancer). Former mentor of Quailstem.
Quailstem, he/him, former ShadowClan healer; an odd-eyed brown tabby. Quailstem never quite had his mentor's conviction, but he wanted to help Larkspurleaf and ShadowClan both-- unfortunately he didn't realize until after he'd died that it wouldn't be possible. Selected Crowpaw as the cat prophesied to succeed Larkspurleaf. Died of whitecough.
Snowdrop, she/her, former ShadowClan kit; a cat who completely lacked pigment. The littermate of Beetlepaw and Crowpaw, she was never named out loud but Brindlebear buried her with the name Snowkit so that she would be known to her ancestors. Very kind; watches over all of her siblings, but especially Cricketpaw. Died of complications related to albinism.
Adderstar, she/her, former loner/RiverClan leader; a silver tabby she-cat with brown eyes. She fell in love with a loner who didn't love her back and invited him to her clan; he left soon after and she followed him, only to find herself pregnant. She died in childbirth and he brought her only surviving kit back to RiverClan. Mother of Dragonflystar.
Outsiders
Sylvester, formerly Nightjay, he/him, kittypet. 40 moons old currently; a black-and-white tom with yellow eyes. Nightjay was originally the chatty, charismatic cool guy with lots of friends; he became mates with Brindlebear, lost one of his kits, was deeply shaken by it, and then got with Dustchirp-- only for one of the kits to apparently have the same condition. He stole her and left, hoping twolegs could save her, but they've since been separated. Father of Beetlepaw, Crowpaw, an unnamed kit, Cricketpaw, and Concrete/Asterkit.
Concrete, formerly Asterkit, she/her, kittypet. 6 moons old currently; a longhaired silver point with blue eyes. Concrete was a shelter kitten who got adopted off of the internet and kept her funny name! She lives with a pair of upwalkers who love her very much, and she doesn't remember anything from ShadowClan or her bio family. Sister of Cricketpaw, half-sister of Beetlepaw and Crowpaw.

Adding Some Previously Unnamed Canon Characters to the Rewrite and Some Other Changes
I’ve made the executive decision to add a lovely lady and her kids to ThunderClan’s roster in Into the Wild. Tumblr is being a dick and refuses to let me upload a picture of her or any of the other cats I’m adding to ThunderClan, so if you wanna see who I’m talking about, please look at the wiki page titled “Minor Characters: Into the Wild”.
New Characters
The molly labeled as “Tabby Queen With Distinctive Black Markings” is an older ThunderClan Scout named Beestripe. She was born and raised in ThunderClan, but is unrelated to the other canon characters (need that sweet, sweet genetic diversity!). She is a Monarch and is nursing her litter of three kits in Into the Wild. She eventually becomes an Elder and stays behind with the other Clans’ Elders when the Clans go on the Great Journey.
The kit labeled as “Little Gray and White Kit” is Sloekit, a cis mollykit, and she is one of Frostfur and Lionheart’s four kits. She replaces Mistlekit as being the kit who dies from illness in the Nursery, and her Star Name is Sloefrost.
The kit labeled as “Fluffy Gray Kit” is Fogkit, a cis tomkit, and he is one of Frostfur and Lionheart’s kits. He eventually becomes an apprentice alongside his two surviving littermates and his mentor is Quietwhisper. He dies after going to fight the dogs alongside his sister Brightpaw and his cousin Swiftpaw, and his Star Name is Fognight.
The kit labeled as “Tiny Black Kit” who comments on Firepaw’s fur color is Antkit, a cis mollykit, and she is one of Beestripe’s kits. She is accidentally killed in the kit raid by the ShadowClan Warrior who tries to take her, and her Star Name is Antchaser.
Canon Characters with Changes Made
The tomkit labeled as “Small Tabby” who boasts that he will be “the best Warrior ThunderClan has ever seen” is Thornkit, and he is still his canon colors, not gray like in the wiki sprite for the unnamed character.
The kit labeled as “Small Tortoiseshell” who comments that Firepaw is supposed to be a good hunter and that he looks sort of like Lionheart is Cinderkit, as she is a tortoiseshell in this universe.
Genetic and Parental Changes
Brackenkit and Thornkit are now the kits of Beestripe and an unknown cat rather than Frostfur and Lionheart and are the littermates of Antkit
Brightkit and Cinderkit are still FrostLion kits and are now the littermates of Sloekit and Fogkit
Also of note here is that despite the fact that they are almost identical barring the difference in height and gender, Beestripe isn't related to Longtail in any way (Golden’s still his mama).

Ancient Roots: Family Tree Changes
[V1.0, updated 9/17/23]
To view the image in high res, open in a new tab OR visit my Deviantart
Changes and details below the cut
TW: Fertility issues
Onestar only has one mate, Smoke, and is therefore only the father of Darktail and his siblings.
Whitetail has no mate and therefore Heathertail and Galekit are no longer Onestar's kits
Nightcloud had a relationship with another tom (in clan or out of clan, not decided) resulting in Breezepelt. Crowfeather believes Breezepelt is his kit. He's not. Breezepelt and Heathertail are no longer related, resolving the incest issue. Nightcloud and Crowfeather still have relationship issues and their unnamed kits
Tallstar and Jake are actually mates now. I don't make the rules. They're husbands
Sandstorm's mother is the "tabby queen with distinctive black markings" mentioned in Into the Wild. Her mother's name is Blacksong and she is also adoptive mother of Pebblekit (the small tabby tom kit), Streamkit (the little grey and white tom kit), Rockkit (fluffy grey kit (I've made them a she-kit)), Molekit (tiny black kit (who I've also made a she-kit)), and Leafkit (small tortoiseshell cat (made a trans tom)). All the kits actually belong to a rogue tom and Redtail, but she's become their adoptive mother and cares for them as her own. They believe that Blacksong and Redtail are their parents and the pair is happy to allow them to think that. She has fertility issues, which is why Sandstorm is her only kit.
Redtail is a trans tom (FtM), and is father of Pebblekit, Streamkit, Rockkit, Molekit, and Leafkit. The kit's biological father was not interested in them and due to dysphoria, Redtail asked Blacksong to watch over them. Blacksong happily agreed, given her own fertility issues
Leafpool, Sorreltail, and Mothwing are in a poly relationship, with Sorreltail additionally being Brackenfur's mate. Brackenfur is part of the poly relationship with Leafpool as well, but not with Mothwing given they haven't really met much outside of gatherings. Leafpool and Brackenfur are more friends than lovers, as Brackenfur is mainly Sorreltail's mate, while Sorreltail is both Leafpool and Mothwing's. (Leafpool x Sorreltail x Mothwing + Leafpool x Sorreltail x Brackenfur)
Brackenfur and Sorreltail still have kits, but they are raised alongside The Three (Jay, Holly, Lion). The Three, in turn, are raised by Brackenfur and Sorreltail, but are always passed off as Bramblestar and Squirrelflights due to their birth being in the same time period as Cinder, Honey, Poppy, and Mole, but not close enough to convince anyone that they were their biological kits
Willowpelt's kits are no longer Whitestorm's. This fixes an inbreeding issue
Sweetbriar is no longer sister of Fallowsong, and therefore she and her offspring/family (Tigerstar and his offspring) are no longer related to Thistleclaw/Bluestar/Whitestorm in that way
Rosetail, Thrushpelt, and Bluestar are in a poly relationship, after the "death" of Bluestar's kits, although all three of them know the truth. Rosetail and Thrushpelt aren't in a ROMANTIC relationship with each other, but they are both Bluestar's mates. Rosetail has a familial platonic relationship instead. (Bluestar x Rosetail + Bluestar x Thrushpelt)
Tinycloud, Rockshade, and Bouncefire are no kits of Clovertail. This fixes an inbreeding issue
Plumwillow is no longer daughter of Fallowfern and Waspwhisker. This fixes an inbreeding issue
Nectarsong is no longer daughter of Mintfur and Nettlesplash. This fixes an inbreeding issue
Sparrowpelt and Cherrytail are no longer related. This fixes inbreeding
Bramblestar and Squirrelflight are FORMER mates now. In this house, we don't put up with abuse
Dustpelt, Frostfur, and Brindleface are no longer related. This fixes inbreeding
Brackenfur is no longer son of Frostfur. This fixes inbreeding
Lilyheart is no longer mate of Snowfur. Larksong, Leafshade, and Honeyfur are no longer related to Firestar through Cloudtail. This fixes inbreeding
Ivypool and Fernsong are no longer mates, however, Fernsong has a mate-like (Those who don't know they're cousins often think they're mates. They're not) relationship with Ivypool. They are in no way romantically involved, but Fernsong, a trans female (MtF) was more than happy to care for Bristlefrost, Thriftear, and Flipclaw while Ivypool returned to her life outside the nursery. Fernsong is that one cool uncle at the family gathering and Ivypool always appreciates her cousin's help and company. This fixes an inbreeding issue
Bristlefrost and Rootspring were official mates, although they never had a chance to tell their families before Bristlefrost's death
Squirrelflight has fertility issues and had been trying for moons to conceive. She is VERY protective of Alder and Spark as a result and considers their births a blessing from StarClan
Dewnose and Sorrelstripe are no longer mates, however, Myrtlebloom and Bayshine are still her offspring. This fixes an inbreeding issue
Brook Where Small Fish Swim is now called Babbling Brook
Talon of Swooping Eagle is now called Eagle Talon
Crag where Eagles Nest is now called Cliff Crag
Pine that Clings to Rock is now called Pine Rock
Feather of Flying Hawk is now called Hawk Feather
Lark that Sings at Dawn is now called Lark Song
Breeze that Rustles the Leaves is now called Leaf Breeze
Stemleaf and Spotfur are no longer mates. This fixes an inbreeding issue. Spotfur still mourns the death of her cousin, but her kits are with an undisclosed tom
Rowanclaw is a trans she-cat (FtM). He is not father of any of Twanypelt's kits. Instead, his brother, Cedarheart, offered to father them. Tawnypelt accepted, after a discussion with Rowanclaw, and the two love them deeply. Cedarheart has a loose relationship with them but is not viewed as a father figure, but instead as the uncle that he is.
Leopardfoot and White-eye are mates after Pinestar leaves. Leopardfoot and Pinestar never had a deep relationship, but she and White-eye were very close. As far as Leopardfoot is concerned, White-eye is her only mate. Pinestar is a kittypet and is nothing to her

These are the unnamed cats from into the wild:
Thunderclan: tabby she-cat with distinctive black markings, small tabby, small tortoiseshell, little gray and white kit, fluffy gray cat, tiny black kit
River: black queen, tortoiseshell queen
Shadow: huge gray tom, black warrior, tortoiseshell warrior, tabby tom, scrawny tortoiseshell she-cat, young shadowclan apprentice (tom), black tom, silver tabby
This is super helpful thank you!!
I'm putting the River and Shadow ones in my back pocket for now, but I will share that the tabby she-cat with distinctive black markings is Cricketclaw, a family tree 'missing kit', now the sister of Darkstripe.
Her mentor is Redtail; fixing the issue where he mentors Mousefur. Since Redtail is the mate of her brother Runningwind in my rewrite, that had to change.
As for the kits; there's too much deputy drama to preserve unfortunately, and none of them got names for me to work with. Those kits are now just going to be Lynxkit, Swiftkit, Cinderkit, and Brackenkit. Thornkit and Brightkit are now younger siblings in the Brackenfour collection.

Giving the unnamed Warriorclan cats names and descriptions
So a bit of a while back, a close friend of mine brought up the idea of naming the unnamed cats in Warriorclan that we see at the end of GreyStripe's Vow. So I thought I'd share these (Asked my friend if it was all good and he said yeah). This one's gonna be a big fuckin' post.
A bit of backstory I created: In the hoarding house where Petunia and many other cats resided in (Including GreyStripe at one point, Fang, and Gremlin, just to name a few), since the old twoleg was said to call every cat in the house "Petunia" (her first cat), many of the cats in the house had forgotten their original names. After some of them joined Warriorclan for shelter, they were allowed to give themselves new names, whether it be a "clan name" or not. There is no -kit or -paw naming system in Warriorclan. So without further ado, here are the names of the cats that are never given any in canon:
Expectant she: Curly Fry- A currently pregnant, red eyed, cinnamon tabby, American curl she-cat with a hairless tail that she covers up with a sock. She goes by the nickname SockTail because of this. She-cat with three kits: Kiwi- A tall, green eyed, brown-and-white she-cat that resembles an oriental longhair. WildBlight (First kit)- A short furred, black-and-white she-cat with bright green eyes. She only allows her mom to call her "Durian". Spud (Second kit)- A long furred, brown-and-white tom-cat with green eyes and a stub tail. Lychee (Third kit)- A long furred, (red-ish) brown-and-white tom-cat with green eyes Small tabby-and-white she cat: TinyTorrent- A small, short furred, colorpoint tabby-and-white she-cat with wild blue eyes. She is also nicknamed "Mini Flood".
Sandy colored tom: StrudelBelly- A soft furred, sandy colored tom with mint green eyes. He has round ears and white markings on his paws and chest.
I've made designs for them but I want to redo them all sooner or later, I wanted to get this post out before I forgot.
