Rice was rejected by the Council of Sparty's Innards, so reported to our vet this morning. She's not worried as long as Sparty has an appetite, drinks, pees, and seems relatively chipper, so there's no immediate change of plans other than dropping the rice idea altogether and sticking with very low volumes of a diluted gastrointestinal wet food my sister picked up for me. If she doesn't keep that either or gets worse, we're going in tomorrow evening to consider an x-ray just to rule out foreign objects, but neither of us really feel like that fits the symptoms here.
Also discussed my semi-controversial use of yogurt as a stomach aid and got a thumbs up on that - especially considering she spews bile on a normal day on an empty stomach.

The thing that Dabi is surviving on is that Shigaraki knows literally nothing about cats because if he did, he would be very confused because the second onigiri he gave Dabi would have caused kidney failure and killed him. His ignorance means he would just be like, huh yeah my cat likes his food spicier than me? What of it?
And in the background Dabi is also snarfing down a piece of garlic bread and going back in to steal Shigaraki's too

#mine#he is 15 and i love him#he had some trouble with the litter box first two days#but turns out#he just didn't like the litter I got#so now he's chillin#he is declawed :(#he is missing a precious toe bean too#so not only is he declawed but i think they messes up on one of his fingies#any tips for declawed cats are very welcom#gonna probably put him on joint supplements at some point#he can eat solid food but he has a clear preference for puree#like even opposed to chunky wet food#so i might get a mini blender#so i have more optionf for him#bc cat purees are expensive as hellll#but i can just puree wet food myself#and the ingredients would probably be better anyway

Very tumultuous 4 weeks until I figured out my cat was allergic to chicken. You know. The thing that's in every cat food ever.
#me having to give her half a benedryl every 8 hours to keep her from mutilating her tail tip no less#so i initially thought it was her wet food right?#she eats sheba wet food. specifically she loves the salmon flavor.#now you'd think that a salmon flavored cat food's first ingredient would be salmon no?#not so! its chicken.#she also eats friskies gravy swirlers which is salmon gravy and chicken flavored.#delightful right?#she was munching on that throughout her medication cycle no wonder she'd inexplicably start biting herself again#then the real kicker was when she stole some of my dogs weight maintenance food. first ingredient in that? chicken.#3 hours after her pill she goes ballistic on her tail.#all of these things have chicken in the ingredient list#rn shes on friskies seafood sensations ( which she seems to like )#and her doses are a half pill every 8 hours as per her body weight. shes doing well.#my aunt got her a new food that's chicken and grain free and its salmon and trout flavor ( her favorite! )#lets pray she a) likes it enough to keep eating and b) it helps her allergies so she stops hurting herself#and i never have to put a pill in her mouth ever again.
