Dog died on friday – a vent
I was taking care of him the whole morning. He suddenly declined really sharply on Thursday and hadnt eaten for a few days by then.
I moved him and his bed into my room so I could keep an eye on him. He never so much as changed position. The only indication that he was awake was that he was blinking. He vomited a couple times even though he had nothing in his stomach. That paired with him shitting blood because he hadnt been taking his pancreatitis meds made it smell like rot before he even died.
I didn't feel comfortable touching him and I feel bad. So boney, i dont think he had any strength left. All he did move was his head. That and the stink. The weather was cooler than the rest of the week so I opened my windows. I hope the fresh air and the sound of cicadas was nice for him.
Then around 1:00 he had trouble breathing. I tried changing his position to make it easier and it helped a little but not by much. 1:16 he stopped breathing. I was on my bed, not by his side. The sounds of his labored breaths were gone. I looked up and hesitated. I don't know why. I must have been processing what it means. I got up and patted him trying to see if he'd react, I put my ear to his ribs to listen for a heartbeat or shallow breaths. I wasn't sure what I heard.
Then a bit later he snapped, like he was biting something. It happened a few times. He wasn't breathing still, I was confused. Is this a thing corpses do? Was he fighting death? Final attempts to gasp for air? It didn't seem like the last one.
It was relieving, honestly. He's been losing himself the past year. But in that final moment, I saw his feisty, stubborn personality. I mentioned it to mom during our car ride, but she didn't say anything. She has a habit of not listening. I guess I'll keep that moment to myself.
1:17 I tried to call mom but she didn't answer the phone. I texted her the news, he was still snapping but less often. Honestly the snapping went on for 15 seconds maximum.
After that I wasn't sure what to do. I couldn't leave him laying there. I brought my cat lupin in to see him since he liked him, he'd groom pippin in the past even though pippin didn't like cats. Then I looked for a box to put him in. The first was too small. The second I felt wrong about putting him in. He fit in it diagonally but... it was cramped. But I didn't feel like looking more. I felt bad closing the flaps but I couldn't stand the smell.
Tumblr media
I don't know, mom never answered my text or called me back. She just came home around 1:40 saying she gave up on waiting for the patient that she was supposed to see. It felt awkward seeing her hold his body and cry. I understood why she reacted like that, but the whole not responding to me thing sat in my mind. She acted surprised that he was gone even though I told her already.
Then she made me call places for cremation to ask about prices. I'm so tired of having to do everything.
We brought him in the box to the vet since they could send him off for cremation. Mom took a while looking at the packages. An elderly couple came in with a very whiney black cat. He didn't like being there either. Then an old lady came in with her big dog who stopped to sniff our box on tbe way to the scale. When mom finally paid for the service a vet tech came to take him. She peeked in the box and I could tell she hated the smell too. She pinched her nose a little but tried not to make any expression. She was wearing tie die blue and white crocs. I couldn't help but feel self conscious. Mom had called earlier about euthanasia so they knew he was alive earlier in the day, but the smell. I felt horrible. I didn't realize he was layinf in his own blood shit until after he died when I picked him up. Even then I couldn't have put him in the shower if I noticed before.
Even before he died I'd been feeling more fragile than usual and I'm already a fragile person. I haven't bothered talking to that discord server much since then. I cried when I thought my friend fell asleep before we could watch link click together. I've been too dependent on that person. They impact my mood so heavily it's unhealthy but I'm too ashamed to say that directly in therapy. I've been considering putting some distance between us. Hell I was put in my current bad mood because they haven't responded to my messages for four hours. Some people have lives, Cathy. Sometimes they have other friends too. Get over it.
That paragraph deviated whoopsy daisy. But I'm done. I originally meant to write down my feelings for my therapist but this might be too long. I'll give her the tldr ig.

My Beloved Cat - Ginger
This is about my cat who is dying, just a warning for those who can't see that right now.
How do you choose an urn for a pet that hasn’t passed yet?
She won’t care, she’s a cat, there’s no color or shape or material or sentiment for her to say, “I like the idea of resting here.”
She will be ash and finely ground bones. I don’t believe in an afterlife and I’m sure that will be the end of her, of us.
But will her ash and bone, changeable to many shapes, filling the spaces the way she once did cracks in my heart, will they find the space comfortable and comforting? Will they feel closed in and claustrophobic? I know they won’t actually feel. I know. They will be inert in their plastic wrap inside her urn.
But will she find peace and solace?
I won’t.
But like all parents, I want better for my children.
I think I’ll choose ceramic. Earthen and warm between my hands. No risk of damage when I cry. I can cradle her close that way. The blue one with the paw prints will do. (It costs extra. I don’t know how to feel about that.)
It asks for an engraving, 25 characters in 3 lines to sum up the whole of my love. If someone finds it in the future, will they know how important she was to me? What the fuck am I supposed to write?
My Beloved Cat
Ginger
Three steps down, four to go.
What keepsakes would I like? There’s two included in the price, and three of them are free. The ash pendants cost extra.
I know I want the ink paw print. I’ve gotten the sand one before, but it looked unnatural . I had hoped to rest my finger in the dip of her toes and feel closer to her. Instead I felt disappointment. No. No sand. Ink looks softer and I can trace where her fur will smudge and pretend to pet her that way.
I’ve done the fur clipping key chain before too. It looked fake and disconnected and I think I lost it in my hatred of the plastic keeping me from touching her again. But I don’t wear jewelry, so maybe I should get it anyways. But my dad gave me $300 to cover the base service and freebies. The money I saved for this can go to silly extras.
I’ll get the tree of life pendant. The thin metal can warm on my chest or in my pocket or stay cool on the mantel. I can take her with me when I need her support again.
(Did you know I didn’t kill myself so I could keep loving her longer?)
(Will this pendant help me the next time it happens?)
(She meowed at me this morning as she demanded pats in my lap. Cancer doesn’t care that she’s dying at 10 years old. Why can’t you live with me forever baby girl? It’s not fair to miss you while you’re still here, withering or not.)
I added the stupid key chain too.
It said that would be 15 dollars more now. I took it off and the ink print is no longer free.
There is $41.56 in taxes for the services and mementos. I’ve doubled the base cost already and I can't afford much more beyond this.
Step 6:
I hereby certify that I am the owner or authorized agent for the owner of the animal described and I hereby authorize the above specified method of disposition. In authorizing the cremation of animals, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold The Company and their agents, managers, and employees harmless for any claims, lawsuits, or other actions, including damages, costs, expenses, an attorney’s fees, brought against them by a third party claiming that the cremation of an animal was unauthorized.
Please sign below using your touch screen or mouse.
(My name looks like a child wrote it. I feel like one. I just want my kitty.)
Step 7: Legal Disclaimers Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration Abandonment Waiver of Jury Trial (this one is in all capital letters, like they’re yelling at me) Severability Attorney’s Fees Initial Here
(I don't believe in god, but god, please, help me.)
They didn’t list an 8th step, but the 8th step is payment.
I double check my bank account and confirm I’ll get paid this Friday so the extra costs aren’t hitting when they shouldn’t.
$586.56 to lose my baby.
They will call me later and I can download steps 6 and 7 for my records.
How do you choose an urn for a pet that hasn’t passed yet?
By crying silently at work, watching the clock tick down to my next meeting, and imagining a future where I can hold her urn ashes close to me in the morning. I can sip my coffee and still watch the birds with her that way.
I hope she likes it. She’ll never see it, her final resting place.
But I hope she likes it.

finally was able to go get an x-ray of my cat who had an accident last week when it ran out of the house for 20 minutes when the door was left open by my father . i didnt say anything about it on here because i didnt think it was this serious but turns out he has a broken leg bone in a very ugly place to operate and a broken pelvis in 3 separate spots. the pelvis can heal on its own but the leg needs to be operated on in the next 3 weeks or it will have to be amputated. the cost of it will be around 1500-2000 zł [380-500 USD]. if my father finds out how much this will cost he will just kill the cat he wont allow neither me nor my mom to help him because it would be wasting money in his opinion. he already didnt allow help for my dog who died out of old age this summer and when it did finally die he wouldnt let me get it cremated and instead burried it in the garden because its cheaper .
i will make a more coherent post with photo proof when imhome and will link my ko-fi and commission prices and paypal if anyone would be willing to help us i would be so thankful. i know its christmas time and not everyone has the money for donations now but if anyone decides to help rhank you thank you so much. im aware this is a lot to ask for.

Compassionate Animal Cremation Services: Honoring Your Pet’s Memory
The loss of a beloved pet can be an emotional and difficult time for any pet owner. Animals become more than just companions; they are part of the family, offering unconditional love, loyalty, and joy throughout their lives. When they pass away, it is natural to want to honor their memory in a respectful and meaningful way. Animal cremation services provide a thoughtful option for those seeking to say goodbye to their pets with dignity.
Understanding Animal Cremation
Cremation for animals is a process similar to human cremation. It involves subjecting the body of the pet to high temperatures, reducing it to ashes. This method is preferred by many because it offers a clean, environmentally friendly way to handle remains. The ashes are returned to the pet owner, who can choose to keep them in an urn, scatter them in a meaningful location, or incorporate them into keepsakes as a way to hold onto cherished memories.
There are two main types of animal cremation services: communal cremation and private cremation. Understanding the differences between these options can help pet owners make the best choice for their circumstances.
Private Cremation
In a private cremation, the pet is cremated individually, ensuring that the ashes returned to the owner belong solely to their pet. This option is often chosen by those who want to keep or memorialize the remains in a special way. Some facilities offer viewing rooms where owners can witness the cremation process, which can provide closure and allow for a final farewell. Private cremations can also include personalized urns, plaques, or other memorial items to commemorate the pet’s life.
Communal Cremation
In a communal cremation, multiple animals are cremated together. While this option is more affordable, it does not allow for the return of individual ashes. Many pet owners choose this option when they prefer not to keep the ashes or when finances are a concern. The ashes from communal cremations are often scattered in dedicated memorial gardens or other meaningful locations.
Choosing the Right Service Provider
When deciding on animal cremation, it is important to choose a reputable service provider. Transparency in their process and pricing should be key factors. Some cremation services offer additional support, such as grief counseling or memorial services, which can be beneficial for families going through the loss of a pet. Asking questions about how the cremation is handled, the timeline, and options for memorialization can ensure the service meets the family’s expectations and needs.
It’s also worth considering how the pet’s remains will be returned. Some facilities offer standard containers for the ashes, while others provide various options, such as biodegradable urns or decorative containers. Many companies now offer creative ways to memorialize pets, such as incorporating ashes into jewelry, sculptures, or planting trees as living memorials.
Honoring Your Pet’s Memory
Choosing Cat Cremation allows pet owners to honor the life of their pet in a way that feels personal and significant. Whether the ashes are scattered in a favorite park, kept in a special place in the home, or made into a lasting keepsake, cremation offers a sense of closure. Many owners find peace in creating a lasting tribute to their pet, preserving their memory for years to come.

Colgantes para llevar cenizas
If your family member has been cremated, maybe you are wondering if you will find special things you certainly can do making use of their ashes. In addition to interring their ashes or sharing them in keepsake-sized urns with other family, you are able to choose to place some in a pendant to wear.
Pendants create a lovely and lasting tribute to your family member that may be worn for special occasions or for everyday wear. If you're thinking about creating this original tribute to your family member, continue reading to learn about these pendants and the types available.
What's a Pendant for Ashes?
Colgantes para llevar cenizas are mini-urns that permit you to carry a small amount of your loved one's ashes with you. The pendants could be positioned on a ring or, sometimes, a bracelet. This way, you are able to take your family member with you wherever you go.
Cremation jewelry has become a popular way to honor loved ones and share ashes among family members. As you'll see below, pendant types are plentiful and allow you to find the perfect pendant to keep in mind your loved one.
How Much Do Pendants for Cremated Remains Usually Cost?
The price of pendants for cremated remains will depend largely on the material it's produced from and the degree of craftsmanship required. For instance, stainless steel is going to be less costly than 14k gold-plated, and gold-plated will definitely cost less than 14k solid gold pendants. Artisan-crafted jewelry resin and glass pendants may also be more costly than mass-produced items.
Popular Types of Pendants for Ashes
If you're looking for something creative regarding cremation ashes, consider placing a number of them in a pendant urn. This way, you are able to keep your family member with you most of the time. Below are a few samples of the forms of pendants available.
Animals
Whether you're commemorating a family member who had been an animal-lover or you wish to keep your furry friend near to your heart, these animal-themed pendants are only the thing.

Hummingbird cremation urn pendant
Hummingbirds embody the essence of elegance and beauty. They are here 1 minute and gone the nex, which reflects on the character of life. Consider a hummingbird pendant if your family member enjoyed these beautiful creatures or if you appreciate the symbolism. This pendant could be customized with a birthstone gem and engraved charm along with your loved one's name and dates.
Angel cat pendant urn
If you're looking for a pendant to keep your furry feline with you after they've said goodbye, you won't wish to avoid this angel cat urn pendant. It features a pet with angel wings and a treasure heart. It's coated with sterling silver and comes with a chain and filling kit to produce filling the small urn along with your kitty's ashes easy.

Why People Prefer Pet Cremation Over Burial These Days?
Regarding human funerals, people are swiftly shifting from burial to cremation methods due to low-cost availability and less risk for our nature. The same trend is witnessed in animal funerals as well because people are opting for cheap pet cremation rather than burial. There are several reasons behind this, and we explore some in this post today.
LESS PHYSICAL SPACE IS CONSUMED
The most significant reason people prefer cremation over burial is that cremation consumes much less space than burial. In the burial process, a separate plot has to be purchased at a cemetery as the animal’s resting place after its death. But this is not easy in the modern world, where we are quickly running out of cemetery space globally. On the other hand, by opting for cheap pet cremation in Campbelltown, you ensure that the body is disposed of at the crematorium. The ashes are returned to you in a beautiful urn that you can handle the way you want.
NOT TIED TO ONE GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
Another feature of that cremation is that the pet owner will not stay tied to one geographic location for disposing of the body. Regardless of where you are in Campbelltown, you can avail pet cremation services from a reputed vet cremation agency.
IT IS A MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY OPTION
This is also a significant reason people are going for cremation over burial. Cremation is an energy-efficient and eco-friendly option, but only if embalming is skipped completely. During the cremation process, the body is disposed of completely without a casket or a coffin and several other time and money-consuming approaches.
COST-EFFICIENCY
Pet cremation is a cost-effective process compared to burial, and this factor also plays a significant role in pet cremation’s popularity. During the burial process, several other services have to be organised, and they consume a lot of time and money. But this is not the case with cremation, as the body can be sent directly to the crematorium and disposed of without any services or expenses.

a life update
cw/tw, pet death mention, depression, suicidal thoughts, toxic home relationship

so. I've kinda dropped off since the new year. been meaning to update you guys (gender neutral) but, well. it's been hard. so let me give you a summary of the first twelve days of 2023 for me
-girldriend broke up with me
-my own words caused a best friend to stop being friends with me. it's my fault. maybe if I apologized and begged, I could fix it.
-two weeks ago, on a Monday, the day classes for school started, I took my cat and emotional Support animal, Alfred, to the vet in-between classes
-alfred already had hypothyroidism, high blood pressure and kidney disease, and was on approximately three meds (two pills and a packrt of gel stuff for his kidneys)
-at the vet, they determined he has pancreatitis, hip and back arthritis (which is why he sits and walks weird), and one of his few remaining teeth is starting to go bad
-pancreatitis, I could handle. another pill, no problem, it's fine
-but the arthritis. he's in pain, and has been for I don't know how long.
-the only pain medicine is a shot they give him, which is 75 dollars once a month, not including the price of his other medications, wet cat food from lack of teeth, and check ups
-so, I. I made the decision, and I'm putting him down March 14th. its spring break, a Tuesday, so I can spend one full day with him, and not miss work or school while grieving
-we went back and forth for about an hour before I blew up, saying I was managing it, I was going to keep him comfortable while I processed it, then went to class
-went home, told my mom. she yelled at me, said I was being selfish for keeping him alive for so long. made me feel guilty for considering cremation, I wasn't being fair to Alfred
-two days of peace while my uncle was visiting
-thursday morning before class. I came downstairs, we talked, normal. then she said that it seemed like I cared more about my cat dying than when my grandma, her mother passed in 2021.
-for context, I was close with my grandmother. I visited her once or twice a month for almost a year prior to her passing, and it was incredibly hard on me. I took the whole week leading up to the funeral off of work.
-i guess my mom didn't remember, because she had the AUDACITY to tell me I didn't take a grieving period for my grandma, then she got upset when I said "how dare you"
-then I went off to class, and texted a friend whom had offered to let me move in with their family in the past, if the offer was still on the table and how it would work.
-ive lived here for two weeks now. it's a longer commute to and from work and school, but I havent been yelled at in two weeks as of tomorrow
-prior to 2023, I lost two cats in 2022. Family cat Smokey in August, baby 2yo kitten Princess in October.
-march 14th, the day I'm putting and have scheduled to put Alfred down, is eight days before my birthday.
-i still have class and homework. I have a comm I need to finish, and the person has been so understanding, but I feel awful
-i can't write. I've tried. gods, I've tried. I'm adding small tidbits onto current drafts, but it's so hard. I can't handle angst at all, and that puts several projects on hiatus
-im crying every few days because it hits me that my best friend, my constant companion, will be gone in less than two months
-Alfred is 12ish, I've had him for four years. five in August, but he. won't be here then.
-he was a rescue, so I don't know his true age. everyone, vet included, thinks he may be older.
-vet said nobody would judge me for my decision, and based on Alfred's medical condition and chart, I wasn't making a wrong one
-ive never had to put a cat, or any pet, down before. never had to make the decision myself.
-ive struggled with suicidal thoughts and major anxiety the past few weeks. I'm trying my hbest, but.
-im tired.
tldr: my life is going to hell and will be hell well into the year, and I'm sorry about the sudden halt of fics and posting. I'll try to write what I can when I can, but. no promises, unfortunately
if you got this far, thanks. I appreciate it.

Leona remembers it correctly and clearly. The day where he lost both his patient and his beloved lover. You. He lost you. Who else he can blame other than himself? If Leona can turn back the time and stop the plan, he WILL do it.
For the sake of your life.
From the day where he saw you lied on the ground covered in blood and your body’s temperature dropped cold drastically until today, he can’t forget it at all. How could he forget his biggest mistake in his life?
Even though he’s insecure and has inferiority complex, you were always there by his side. To comfort him. To give him everything he can’t have since he was a kid. You’re always be his number one, the only one he wants to have by his side to rules his own pride.
If only he didn’t do the plan. The lion knew from the beginning. Conquering the entire school doesn’t make him feels like a true king, yet he still did it and lost the only person that made him feels like a true king.
No one can exchange everything about you.
No one can be your substitute.
Today is another sleepless day for him. The bed feels cold and empty without you beside him. The atmosphere in the room had been strange ever since. He knows how it feels like to live inside the loneliness and emptiness. But this time is the same, but there’s something inside it that makes his heart arches.
Every now and then, every time he closes his eyes, the smell of your blood and the cold feeling of your body is always there. It haunts him down. The only nightmare he has now is only he hurts you. Even within his world of dreams, the scene repeats again and again. Endlessly.
If he’s not mistaken, tomorrow is the day of your cremation. Will he be able to come to see you for the last time before your cremation? He wants to see your face for the last time.
As he walks to your coffin, your friends especially Grim talks to the Diasomnia’s students. A lion beastman like him could hear it clearly with his sharp lion ears. Leona doesn’t mean to eavesdrop on the whole conversation, but that damn Grim can’t lower his voice at all.
His ears move slightly when he hears Grim asks Malleus and Lilia to find a way to wake you up. Now, that’s very important! Even the first-year students ask them, no, beg them to do something for you. Both of the immortal beings look at each other and hum, before Malleus give an answer.
“It is not impossible to bring the death backs to life. Hmm… It costs a lot if I may say. Lilia knows about this more than myself.” The dragon gives them an answer that make them lighten up.
Is it possible for him to bring you back to life? Leona believes it, he read about this before in the palace library. But with that lizard’s help? Confusing yet Leona can’t help but to put his pride away. For you. Just for you, his herbivore, his S/O.
They suddenly look at Leona who walks to them. His expression is very dark. Grief, fury, remorse, etc. They didn’t predict for him to join the conversation. Leona stands face-to-face to Malleus, stares at him. The words that he wants to say can’t come out from his mouth. He bites his lower lip slightly.
“Oi… You said that you can bring them back to life? Tell me.”
His voice is deep and low. Leona still has his pride a little inside himself, especially in front of the dragon, his rival. Lilia smiles at him and explains the whole thing. They can bring you back to life! What a miracle! But the price is not cheap.
If he wants you to come back to life, he’ll split his soul and half of his soul is inside you. It’s very dangerous. What if the ritual fails? What if his life is at stake? But to Leona, he’ll do ANYTHING for you. Even the Great 7 couldn’t believe this.
Before Leona could agree about it, Lilia asks him once more. Is he SURE? This ritual is no ordinary ritual. It would cause… A little pain for him. Does he care? No, he can endure it. Only a little, right?
After he agrees, they take him to a nearby room in the building and begin the ritual. The first-year students pray that this will help you, they won’t forget to repay Leona after this. Moreover, his life is on the line as well!
The ritual takes time. But… It does have a great result. Leona is able to endure the pain. Several hours had passed and the ritual was over. Leona faints because half of his soul is transferring to your body.
Before he could wakeup, a certain and familiar student burst to the room, his complexion looks bad. The student takes a deep breath and shouts.
“Pre… Prefect… THEY WOKE UP FROM THE DEATH!!”
Do you believe this situation? All of the first-year students run to your coffin. Gosh, should they describe the situation of the room too? Yes, Crowley falls out from his chair when you get up from your coffin.
All of them have the same expression. Surprised. Even the teachers can’t believe their eyes! How could this be happened? There’s an ancient magic to bring back the death to life. Here they are! Witness the ancient and legendary magic!
“PREFECT!!!”
They run to the confused prefect who’s sitting on the coffin confused. What just happened? You feel like you just wake up from a deep slumber. Your body feels… Stiff? Jack says it’s all thanks to Leona and the Diasomnia’s students.
Hold on! Leona? Diasomnia? Impossible! They worked together FOR YOU?! Prefect, you’re indeed extraordinary. The whole school is fill with joy! The prefect is alive! Don’t forget to tell them to make sure they repay your kindness this whole time.
The students in the hallway stare at you in shocked. Of course, you feel a little uncomfortable with their gazes. Well, let’s ignore them first! The most important thing is to see your lion boy and the Diasomnia’s students, you’ll thank them!
Two pair of eyes stare at you happily when you open the infirmary’s door. Malleus and Lilia. They greet you as you thank them for helping you! The two students leave you alone with Leona. He’s still unconscious.
Leona could suddenly feel a familiar warm hand gently touch his. It’s the touch that he has been longing for. Gentle, soft, and only one person who can touch him like this. You. His S/O.
His eyelids slowly begin to open. To see the person who holds him gently. When he sees your smile, he immediately gets up and hugs you tightly. It’s a miracle, the ritual worked! You’re alive! The beastman doesn’t want to let you go. The fear of losing you for the second time flashes through his mind.
“I… Sorry… I didn’t- Herbi- No, S/O…” He couldn't even get the words out.
“I’m here, Leona…” you rub his back.
From onwards, Leona makes a promise to you and to himself. He’ll protect you. He’ll treat you better than before. He won’t lose you again. You’re his and he’s yours. Every second, every minute, every hour, until every year, Leona’ll cherish his time with you.
You’re the only one for him and vice versa.

Sunday Seven: December 12
I started doing a Sunday Seven to urge myself to read more and support more work and work on my enormous reading list, and I’m happy to report that the experiment worked! Now that I’ve made a dent and I’m reading more regularly, I’m still gonna do the seven, but I’m changing the format slightly.
I’ve definitely branched out on the boys I read, and I’m sure that will continue to grow. Instead of my prescribed 6 boys+ wild card, I’m simply switching to seven. Seven different boys by seven different writers.
I really just wanna tell you about some things I’ve been loving on. Let’s goooooo!!!!
💖indicates love for soft 🔥indicates spicy stuff
DIN DJARIN: untitled by @letterfromvienna 💖🔥 Touch-starved Din that gets turned on by your skin is totally my jam and this piece...oh, this piece...
EZRA: Blind Trust by @brandyllyn 🔥 This is our rough and scruffy space scoundrel, finding something he likes in a brothel and paying triple price to have it. Fresh off of losing his arm and without the ability to use his voice, Ezra's still got it...
JAVI GUTIERREZ: Never Let Go by @songsformonkeys 💖 This is the funniest, most endearing thing and I was half squealing and half laughing through it. I...don't know what to say but that I am just in love with his sincere enthusiasm for watching movies and everything ORANGE. He's so cute. The pan flute broke me.
JAVIER PEÑA: You Make It Feel Like Christmas by @fromthedeskoftheraven 💖🔥 Raven's writing is just so soft and lovely and easy and full of delicate expression. I'm just in awe. Seeing Javi so relaxed and happy at Christmas, to have his face in my hair and tell me he's happy I came to celebrate with him and his family, I can see the glow of his skin in this fic and I just want to put my hands all over it. Damn. Just gorgeous.
MARCUS MORENO: Everyday by @radiowallet 💖🔥 Cat's been over here making a believer of me with her 31 Days For Marcus Moreno. And every day I think she's written the one that absolutely sends me...and then then the next day she tops it. This little proposal story is just so damn sweet and beautiful and I just just can't I-- *melts*
MAX PHILLIPS: Choice by @wyn-n-tonic 💖🔥 Soft!Max comes with his own warning indeed. The reasons Max has for not feeding on you are just... Oh my heart. THE AFTERCARE IN THIS. THE FINAL LINES. I believe donor is on my ID but just so you know you can cremate me after that because DED
PERO TOVAR: Wedding Night by @absurdthirst 🔥 Tovar may seem like a brute, but he's a real man when he does whatever he can to make sure to dispel everything the village women told you to expect for your wedding night. Loved this. Keri keeps our grumpy man but shows us that he knows how to treat a lady and how to gain her trust and affection.

Dazai: You wanna know how to assert dominance amongst your coworkers?
Y/N: How so?
Dazai: You get up in front of the office, you unzip your pants—
Y/N: This is going downhill so fast
Chuuya: *to Akutagawa* Man, you are such a dishrag
Chuuya: *texting Dazai* I need you to pretend to reject me as I pretend to like you, so I can pretend cry and get more ice cream
Dazai: *texting back* Okay, Chuuya, I don’t like you, I like boobs. There, now screenshot that and get that ice cream
Y/N: I am going to study the blade, once I am FREE from these mortal chains!
Chuuya: I just got my blood drawn😎
Dazai: Oda had his blood drawn. All of it. Because he’s dead Chuuya, so stfu.
Akutagawa: Can you really put a price on Dazai?
Chuuya: I say like, two dollars
Dazai: *to the agency* After I die, I would like to be cremated so that my ashes can be mixed into several glasses of chocolate milk that you all will ingest, just so you all can have a little piece of me inside of you
Y/N: But what if the chocolate milk mix meddles with your unique flavor?
Kunikida: Dazai milk—WAIT, WE ARE NOT HAVING THIS CONVERSATION!
Fukuzawa: Do you think real life cats have crushes on the animated cats on TV?
Y/N: ...That’s not a bad question
Elise: *playing with dolls* Is that the whore you’ve been sleeping with?!
Dazai: *about a spider in the corner of his room* I prevent conception by kissing too hard and killing the spider
Atsushi: Why would you kiss a spider?
Y/N: I can promise you wealth and bitches!
Mori: There’s no fun in that
Y/N: Or, if you prefer, sans and shrimp
Mori: ...

Chuuya: P O L L U T E D! YOU POURED TOXIC SLUDGE ALL OVER IT! AND MADE SLUDGE ANGELS! AND THE SLUDGE ANGELS SOUND LIKE MORI!
Dazai: I’ve tossed hundreds of plastic bags into the field
Chuuya: DON’T TRY TO GET IN ON THIS BIT, ASS MAN!
Kenji: Good morning, Y/N, how’re you doing?
Y/N: Well, I’ve been eating cookie dough for breakfast the past month and I’m pretty sure functioning adults don’t do that, soooo probably bad
Ranpo: *eating cookie dough* What do you mean functioning adults don’t do that??
Atsushi: I may be vegan, but if Kenji has only ever seen warheads on halloween in OTHER kids’ bags, then he’s living a sad existence
Dazai: I’m honest support, I tell you when something is WRONG, like a house security system
Chuuya: I hate Dazai
Y/N: Be honest
Chuuya: I HONESTLY hate Dazai
Y/N: nO—
Ranpo: She has cherries on her bra, so she has dignity
Y/N: More like digniTITTY
Chuuya: When I was a kid, I would refuse to eat the small grapes and I’d be like “Ane san, it’s a baby! I can’t eat it, it’s a baby!” and then she’d go to the other room and eat it
Y/N: *defending Dazai in court* My client didn’t do it, there’s proof!
Judge: Where is it then??
Y/N: I SAID MY CLIENT DIDN’T DO IT, MY WORD IS YOUR PROOF, BITCH—
Dazai: Yogi bear is my celebrity crush
Akutagawa: Why is there a blanket on fire?
Tachihara: Eh, just have someone piss on it, it’ll be fine
Kouyou: I’m back you guys, what’s going on?
Chuuya: Well, I’m about to cut off Dazai’s nipples, so that’s where we’re at right now
Y/N: Wait, are ducks nocturnal??
Kunikida: You are mentally insufficient, I stg—do you see granny coming out at 12 in the morning to feed the ducks? No, she can barely see with her glasses during the day, imagine what it’s like at night
Dazai: I kind of really hurt myself
Y/N: How??
Dazai: I wanted to see how much a rubber band hurt
Y/N: ...Kinda kinky ngl
Y/N: So, how did you find out Santa wasn’t real?
Chuuya: When I was fifteen, Mori and I went to the store and I pointed to a belt and told him that’s what I wanted from Santa that Christmas. So he was like “Okay, Santa will buy it for you” then proceeded to grab it and pay for it in front of me
Ranpo: *looking at a massive plate of jello* Jello? More like HELLO!
Dazai: Hey Y/N! Try not to get a lady boner! *proceeds to flip toy car over, fails to do so successfully* o h n o

Seeing that pic of your family's taxidermied cats was really cool actually - I couldn't bear to be parted with my cat after she died so I had her cremated and I keep her with me - but if I'd have known a taxidermy service I might have considered that instead, it makes me so sad I'll never see her again except in pictures
That wasn’t me, though I’m a total advocate of pet taxidermy but we haven’t had any of our pets taxidermied yet. I would love to know who OP was.
Dealing with a pet’s death is so difficult that exploring options in that moment is almost impossible. I am so so sorry for your loss and I hope navigating grief becomes easier for you. Even if she only lives on in memories and photos now, she still made a mark on this world and I’m sure she knew how much you loved her.
Below the cut are some options and tips on preserving a pet’s remains after death for future reference or anyone who would like to know more:
If anyone is interested in taxidermying their pet’s remains after death, I recommend looking for a taxidermist before the pet dies and writing their pricing and contact details down. It’s kind of difficult to find a taxidermist who will work with pets because of the taboo, the fear that the customer will not realize the animal won’t look wholly lifelike and the difficulty of navigating the US’s weird laws around the remains of certain animals like cats. (It is legal, you are paying for a service done to the animal and not the animal’s remains themselves.) You may have to ship your pet’s frozen remains to the taxidermist if they live fair away, this is not a problem for most taxidermists who deal with exotics such as pets. Taxidermy is an art form and it’s important to find a taxidermy artist you like and feel comfortable with the pricing. You can get your pet soft mounted or traditionally mounted. One fills their remains with wire and stuffing so they can be possible and huggable, the other mounts them on a foam or wooden form in one particular pose but usually stands the test of time better.
When you get a new pet, I highly recommend every one starts an emergency fund if capable. That money can be used for unexpected vet bills, future body preservation expenses or whatever you may need.
Additional forms of pet preservation are freeze drying (a form of preservation that freeze-dries the entire pet in a certain position with the organs intact), wet specimens (animals within preservation liquid and kept in glass containers, only feasible for small pets), diaphonization (a process for small animals the bones and cartilage are stained beautiful colors and the rest of the remains are dissolved, the remains are then kept in a solution within a glass container) or skeletonization (where the body is reduced to a skeleton and you can have it re-articulated in its entirety or keep parts of the remains such as the skull, taxidermy usually only utilizes the hide of the animal, if you choose to get your pet taxidermied, you can have the rest of their remains skeletonized if you desire).
If you’re not squeamish and looking for a cheaper option, you can DIY some preservation methods. I highly recommend in-ground skeletonization. You bury the animal in a permeable bag and allow them to decompose naturally over a period of time before cleaning their skeletal remains. This is good because you can have a traditional funeral for your pet and months or years to distance yourself from the grief before you process their remains. The process is a little different than commercial skeletonization which is usually done by beetles within a short period of time. The bones may be stained even after cleaning but if that’s not something you’re worried about, DIY skeletonization may be for you.
You can also DIY wet specimens. This works better for small pets like insects, small fish, mollusks etc.
