a tv series i don't talk enough about that played such a big part in my youngin days is daria (mtv). fourteen year-old me was living and breathing this show. i desperately wanted to be daria. i used to do rewatches almost every other year (i'm up for a rewatch soon, actually!). it meant the world to me and it still does in many ways. it was definitely ahead of its time, but i can see its flaws when i watch it now. and i no longer want to be daria in that aspirational sense, but i still admire her and think this was such an important show for ppl like me growing up.

a book & movie i should talk about more is i capture the castle. it's just such a lovely comfort read, but it also has this really interesting angle about language, art, and authority (the james-joyce-ian author father, for instance) and also this wonderful, layered sadness about things requited and unrequited. the movie is beautifully made as well. romola garai will always be the perfect cassandra. i need to rewatch it one of these days. also, if you want to break your heart and mend it again, listen to the soundtrack! it's so whimsical, melancholy and haunting <3

Three Ships: there’s so many though… I’m gonna say Stucky from the MCU, Shega from Mass Effect, annnnd ChiLumi from Genshin.

First Ship Ever: my first ships were like.. SasuSaku(the Forest of Death sections had such a hold on baby!Dragon you do not understand. My copies of Volume 6-7 are low key falling apart I reread them so much), Dramione, and InuyashaXKagome. I was like 10-13? Pretty sure there were some before those but they were the first I really remember.

Last Song: Control by Halsey. It’s so fun to daydream to? :D

Last Movie: the first Expendables movie. We rotate dvds at my house and atm we’re between tvshows so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Knockout is an amazing episode of Castle, yes its sad and heart-stopping, literally on Kate's part. Crossfire, on the other hand, shouldn't have ended like that no one should have to watch their 2 favorite characters crawl to each other in their final moments. The 7 year thing at the end was also weird it felt like they were trying to satisfy us fans at the last minute.
