Forgive me if you've gotten this question already but you're a bug specialist... with no bugs?

Haha, yep! I love to study them, but I don't think I could keep one just because they're 'cool', you know? It's alot of responsibility caring for a pokemon, and I've got two sweethearts in my life already to focus on.

My Lucario and Sableye each kinda came into my life themselves, I never even took the gym challenge as a kid. Didn't plan to get any pokemon until a certain skinny wild Riolu kept freaking stealing my sandwiches out my hands... Ahem.

Pokemon are friends and pets and work assistants and family! One day I might have the room and funds to love and cherish something as AWESOME as a scolipede off my own back, but until that time I'm not going to commit to bonding with a cool bug pokemon when I'll have to rely on things like lab facilities to take care of them instead of being able to dedicate time to them that they deserve.

Hope that makes sense??

Of course, if one does come into my life (Like lil Pobble did) and I'm able to, I would LOVE to have a bug!!!

You make the freedom fighter have a need to impress you on the field when he’s not showering you in love outside of missions.

What really drew you to him was just how careful you were with his body. How you complimented his eye and stroked his robotic arm with so much care. It has made him really adore the end of the days where particular expeditions took a lot of energy out of you two, resulting in cuddles and sweet nothings. He never understood the whole concept of loving someone like his dad loved his mom, but after meeting you, he finally understood what they had was sacred. What you two had was sacred. Nathan has lost a lot in his life, but he’ll be damned if he loses you.

Scott can be a pain in the neck during missions. He’s always one to bark out orders and keep a level head on missions as the leader of the X-Men. And if there’s one order that’s always on the top of his list, it’s making sure you are safe. He’s by all means not an overprotective or possessive lover, but he makes it a daily part of his life to always check on his beloved. Whenever you are just being yourself, you can find him staring at you, taking in your cute energy and reciprocating it with his own cute antics like kissing your cheek or giving you gifts when you least expect it.

Are the team a bit jealous of you having Scott’s favoritism? A bit. But hey, they’d rather someone like you have the best of Scott than the worst. Even if that also includes his defensive nature of you along with his jealous antics. He means well. You know it, sometimes you just have to remind him. Whether it be with a simple talk or a passionate kiss. Face it, you keep the leader of the X-Men grounded.

On missions, she is in the zone, but as soon as they are over, she’s heading straight to you to check if you are injured. And if you’re not? Because of how young she is and her lack of a love life, Jubilee is still pretty new to the whole dating and falling in love thing. But when she met you, she knew she was bound to fall in love with someone so positive and full of life. An embodiment of a firework if she said so herself. She always drags you around town with her to hangout at arcades or spend time in the mall grabbing lunch and doing cute couple things.

She cares about you enough to ask other X-Men members advice on how to treat you or show you how much you mean to her. It honestly impresses and shocks the team how this troublemaker tries her best to make you feel like the luckiest person in the world dating her. If she’s not showing her love for you through domestic activities, then look outside your window at night. You are bound to find Jubilee sending you love with her fireworks bound to make you giggle and smile. Which is always delightful because when you are filled with so much happiness, so is she.

Magneto

“What we have is stronger than any magnetic pull I’m capable of. It’s terrifying. But also magnificent.”

If you ever wanted to be treated like royalty, Magneto is the man for you. Erik treats you like you are a precious flower that could be destroyed by the mutant hating world around you. Because of this, he is so careful with you, yet not overbearing. If you want to hang out outside or simply hang out with him, he doesn’t mind as long as no one looks at you the wrong way or touches you with ill intent. Because if they do?… Let’s just say Magneto can do a lot with his powers.

When he’s not making sure you’re safe, he is awestruck at your innocence and your positive outlook on life. At first, he actually found your vision of the world to be immature, untrue and above all stupid. But the more he’s spent time with you, you’ve seem to have melted his cold heart a bit. Does he still think humanity is the scum of the Earth and nothing can change? Yes. But with you by his side, showing him what love, understanding and acceptance can be, maybe, just maybe, he can see where you’re coming from.

Morph

“Why the long face, babe? I can do a mean Magneto impression that’s sure to make you smile… Haha! There’s my love!”

Around people, Morph treats you almost like one of the guys, in a figurative sense. They don't treat you any differently from the rest of his friends and family within the team. But behind closed doors or when you two are alone, all bets are off. They are melting at your sweet nature and so quick to try to make you laugh, smile or get physical with them. Man, do they love when you get physical with him- They adore it!

But what they really loves is how caring and protecting of them you are. They've told you about their past, their run in with Mister Sinister and their time away from the team. And no matter how many nightmares or moments of body dysmorphia he experiences, they love how you are always there to pick up their loose pieces and put them back together with your gentle touch and gentler words. Because of this, they're always there to return the favor and comfort you as well when you are at your lowest. You are their best friend sorry Logan and their beloved and they wouldn’t want it any other way.

Nightcrawler

Kurt is a pretty romantic person, especially when it comes to you. He showers you endlessly in love, rubbing his nose against yours, showering your face in kisses and becoming putty when you hold him, even if it’s just by his arm! He cherishes moments where the both of you hang out, especially by gardens where he makes cute flower crowns with you. Though just any moments with you are the highlight of his day. On missions, you two synergize perfectly well with the blue mutant complimenting you on your moves and takedowns of foes.

Kurt is an expert at physical touch for a love language, but he’s just as amazing with his words, especially with the nicknames he’s given you. He’ll make sure everyone knows that you are his Schatz, Herz, bessere Hälfte, and of course, Liebe meines Lebens. To you, he’s a lot like a little puppy; Full of energy and always waiting for your attention and affection given to him. The team thinks you two are cute even if they find it a bit annoying that Nightcrawler is always teleporting you two all over the place. It’s not too bad though since the sound of your mixing laughter is enough to make everyone’s hearts soar happily.

Rouge

Rogue is super careful of you. You are just too precious to her and she doesn’t want to hurt or break you with her powers. So she makes sure you both have ways of showing one another how much you love each other, especially herself. Outside of soft hugs, she tries her best to give you a hand covered kiss. Though she can be super cheesy and exchange indirect kisses with rocks, feed you while chuckling at how adorably you stare at her like she hung the stars above. She’ll even have you both set up for dinner plans and fly you around in the sky if you ever want to destress from work as a X-Man.

You both have a cute relationship, even if there are moments where Rogue wonders if she deserves you or if she will ever be enough for you due to her destructive powers and the possibility she will never be able to touch you. These revelations have led to emotional nights, but the promise you make to touch her and make her the happiest woman in the world always makes Rogue realize that she is beyond lucky to have you. You make her want to find a way to touch you no matter what. And mark her words, she will.

Wolverine

Logan has fallen in love with many men and women during his years of living. But damn has he never met anyone quite like you! When he met you, he thought your whole sweetheart shtick was fake, no offense. He thought it was some trick used to get people to lower their guards around you so you can get the upper hand on them. But when he found out you really were the sweet soul everyone hyped you up to be, he slowly but surely fell for you. He fell for how you spoke to him with such understanding and patience. The way you touched him was with the utmost care when you took care of him and helped him clean blood from your adventures with him that got out of hand.

Logan fights for many people, but for you he will kill anyone that hurts you or makes you cry. Your smile lights up his whole life, your laugh pushes him to be stronger to preserve it and your touch makes him feel alive in a world that always knocks him down. If it’s not the X-Men, Wolverine usually fights for himself and only himself. But now that he has you to lose, he fights for the both of you and a future where you both can live a peaceful life you’re both proud of.

My oh my were you hard to look out for during the Vargas Camp.

Everything was practically something that made you curious to the point you skipped from one place to another.

“Jade, what type of mushroom is that?” “Ah, well s/o, that’s a Honey Fungus, which is actually pathogenic and- s/o?” Jade trailed off, noticing you were out of sight as he explained about the mushroom’s facts. The eel would find you standing in another area, looking up high at a tree in awe.

“Jade what species of trees is that?” That would continue on and on, even while doing the tasks assigned by Vargas which the eel will admit that you are indeed quite troublesome to look after…

…but that makes it all the more fun. Fufu~ you’re quite a tough one looking after, aren’t you? He loves that you love to discover things, and he loves that spark of curiosity you always give! It’s just that sometimes you just get too carried away and… wander off from his sight. That in itself is a little tiring but never ceases to amuse the Octavinelle vice dorm leader.

Would it be hard to imagine Jade wearing a harnest that has a rope tightly attached to a harness that you’re wearing so that you wouldn’t stray off from him? No? Good-

Jade wore that only during the camp (and maybe when he also invited you to his Mountain Climbing Club activities). Other times when you walk to class together, he holds your hand and walks you to class so that you wouldn’t get distracted along the way and stray off from the path to your classroom (which he was surprised and amused by the fact that you have before), or on a date would sit close to the aquarium to satisfy your curiosity, he would hold your hand to get your attention.

“So, may I ask how was your day…” once again, he catches you staring at the fishes swimming aimlessly in the tank. He gently squeezes your palm as you snapped out of your daze and looked at him. “H-huh? Oh, sorry about that,” you replied sheepishly.

Jade chuckles, shaking his head as he flashes you a soft, teasing smile. “Fufufu~ what shall I do with you?~” <3

Rook Hunt

Ah! You’re a curious mon cheri, how delightful! Rook finds this trait of yours attractive, unlike most people who finds it rather troublesome.

In fact, he humours that curiosity of yours and follows you around. Rook has basically become your tour guide around NRC and the wild, he knows a lot so it isn’t surprising he has most of the answers to your question.

However, there’s a teensy tiny issue that he finds this habit of getting easily distracted a bit of a hassle: you’ll be oblivious to the dangers and hazards around you.

One time during the Vargas Camp you were distracted (once again) and wandered to a forested area with Rook trailing behind.

Before you knew it, you almost got hit by a tree if not for Rook swiftly pulling you back by the shoulders, pulling you so that your back touched his chest. “Mon cheri, be careful! You almost hit your face into a tree!” That was when Rook knew you would need a little bit more supervision.

Rook made sure to always be by your side (sometimes in peculiar ways-), making sure you’re guided in your path of walking while being your tour guide and making sure you don’t wander off far away from campus.

The vice dorm of Pomefiore makes sure to hold your hand, pulling you away or snapping you back to reality when he feels is too dangerous to wander into.

Even so, Rook loves that you’re always curious. Just make sure to be careful even if he keeps close tabs on you.

Bullfrog and Rayman/Ramon x g/n reader : taking a bullet for them

I’ve had this little idea for a while now , so I decided to finally sit and write it down !

You see , while I’m the biggest fan of anything regarding fluff I do enjoy a bit of angst sometimes too , so I ended up getting a rush of inspiration imagining the reader protecting the boys with them getting all worried afterwards :,I 

I’ll definitely start working on the requests I received as soon as I can by the way , I just like to post some personal works whenever I get inspired … also because I literally can’t stop it when that happens :,)

Anyway , hope this turned out okay ! 

Details : use of gender neutral reader ;

presence of blood , bullet wounds , occasional swearing and general angst with following fluff

Bullfrog 💚

As soon as he turns around and sees you drop on your knees , clutching the bleeding wound with a hiss of pain , Bullfrog immediately drops everything he’s doing and rushes towards you , ignoring the bullets flying in his direction :

he has to get you out of there … he has to do it fast … nothing else matters … 

His small but strong arms pick you and he carries you away from the raging battlefield , the sensation of your blood dripping on his hands filling him with fear …

No matter what the Warden will have to say about this setback , the safety of his beloved is top priority .

When he finally puts you down after reaching a safe spot , Bullfrog can feel the crushing weight of his guilt taking over his every thought , enough to almost make him dizzy …

He knows full well that that bullet was meant for him . 

He should’ve noticed it sooner … why didn’t he notice it sooner ? 

Maybe then you wouldn’t have jumped forward to shield him …

This … this was all his fault . 

The sound of you coughing out blood is what makes Bullfrog snap back to reality .

< B … Bullfrog … ? > 

< Yes y/n , I’m here , I’m right here mon amour , you’re going to be okay , I promise … you just have to stay awake . > 

His voice sounds so soothing and sweet ( tough a bit raspy after his crazy escape ) , and while he begins to take off your coat to get a better look at the wound you can’t help but smile a little in front of his sheer devotion to you …

His movements are gentle but quick , and before you can even process what’s happening Bullfrog has already patched you up to prevent you from losing any more blood …

It’s now that the situation is under control that he brings it up . 

< You really shouldn’t have done that , y/n . If the bullet hit you someplace else with some more precision you could’ve died . > 

You look down at the floor of the alleyway you’re both currently hiding in , feeling his worried eyes on you .

< I … I’m sorry . I didn’t really think it through … 

I panicked : you were in danger and I didn’t want you to get hurt , I just … didn’t know what else to do … > 

Bullfrog’s gaze softens , and before you know it you feel his arms around you , holding you carefully to avoid hurting you more …

< I know , mon cher … you’re always looking out for me , and I love you so much for that reason alone , but please don’t ever do something like that ever again :

You gladly lean into his loving embrace , hugging him back as the pain brought by the wound in your waist disappears momentarily :

It takes some time for Rayman to realize that an unidentified man just tried to shoot him while the two of you were walking back home after that night’s date , and it’s when he hears your sharp breaths and sees your blood staining his shoes that he fully takes in what happened …

He rushes towards you , panic taking over him as his shaky hands get a hold of you : 

you’re hurt … you’re hurt really bad , and it’s all because you protected him .

< Oh - oh g-god - ohmygod —

I can’t … I gotta - H-HELP !!! > 

It doesn’t take long for someone to notice what is going on , and before you know it you can hear the deafening noise coming from the sirens of the ambulance and the many police cars all around the street , as well as a familiar voice …

< Are they going to be okay ?? W-will they live ??? 

Please , they have to live … they have to … > 

Unfortunately you can’t bring yourself to listen further : soon the loss of blood makes you pass out , your blurry vision slowly fading to black as the last thing you feel is someone picking you up from the ground .

Rayman really isn’t handling what happened very well , and the days following the incident are absolutely awful for him …

He ends up drinking a lot more , unable to eat and let alone sleep , and whenever he receives the inevitable calls from the Board of Directors “inviting” him to pull himself together for his show’s sake , he completely loses it … 

< Don’t you understand ?? My . Partner . Got . FUCKING SHOT !!! 

I might never s-see them again , and you want me to “keep it together” ?!? > 

Whenever he stays up at night , waiting for any sorts of news about your condition from the hospital , Rayman can do nothing but silently pray that you’re going to be fine … that he will be able to hold you and kiss you again , and that it’s not all lost … 

… but deep down he really isn’t sure if that’s what’s going to happen , and that terrifies him more than anything .

Then finally , one morning he receives the awaited news : 

you’re alive , you’re feeling a lot better and , most importantly , you’re actually on your way to his lounge ( the last part being a little something you planned to surprise him ) . 

Rayman is overjoyed , and when he hears a knock on the door and sees your beautiful smile waiting for him behind it he can’t contain himself anymore …

< Oh y/n … y/n my love … I-I’m so glad you’re okay , I missed you so much ! > 

He hugs you tightly , sobbing next to your ear , and inevitably you end up crying too …

< I’m here Ray … I’m right here , I’m never leaving you again , I promise … >

Oh boy is he enraged … 

After a moment of silent shock , he glares at that one member of the Board of Directors security that had the guts to harm his darling …

Without any regards at all for his safety he rushes towards the man , shooting at him multiple times … even after his dead body has long since hit the floor . 

It takes him a while to calm down , but after taking a few deep , shaky breath , Ramon finally rushes towards you , using his coat to stop the bullet wound from bleeding .

< I know it hurts … but you’re gonna be okay love , just … just bear with me , okay … ? I got you … > 

You nod in response , a little smile appearing on your face as he leans down to kiss your forehead . 

After a few minutes , you start to feel less dizzy than before , and similarly to Bullfrog it’s only then that Ramon confronts you about what happened .

< Now … we really gotta talk about this , y/n , cause I am not about to lose the only person that gives me hope in this hell because they decide to shield me from a bullet without any regard for themselves and their safety . >

It had been a year since Léon had left France for the U.S., chasing his dream of swimming glory at Arizona State University. The long-distance had been tough, with late-night FaceTime calls and endless texts, but nothing could replace the warmth of being together.

Today, that was finally going to change.

Y/N looked out the window of the taxi as it pulled up to Léon’s apartment complex in Tempe, Arizona. The sun was shining brightly, and palm trees lined the street—a stark contrast to the familiar Parisian boulevards. The moment the car stopped, Y/N felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. This was it. A new chapter in their relationship.

Y/N stepped out of the taxi, pulling a suitcase along. The door to Léon’s building opened almost instantly, and there he was—tall, broad-shouldered, with that familiar mop of curly hair and a smile that could light up the darkest of days.

“Mon amour!” Léon called out, rushing down the steps. He wrapped Y/N in a tight embrace, lifting them slightly off the ground.

“Léon!” Y/N laughed, burying their face in his neck, taking in the scent they had missed so much. “Je t’ai tellement manqué,” they whispered, their voice muffled against his skin.

“Tu n’imagines même pas,” he replied, pulling back slightly to look at them. His brown eyes were filled with a mixture of love and relief. “Finally, no more time zones, no more screens between us.”

Y/N smiled, their eyes welling up with happy tears. “Je suis tellement heureuse d’être ici, avec toi.”

Léon kissed them gently on the forehead, his lips lingering there for a moment. “Moi aussi. Let’s get you inside, I can’t wait to show you our place.”

Together, they carried Y/N’s suitcase up the stairs. Léon opened the door to his apartment—a cozy space filled with a mix of modern furniture and personal touches. On the wall was a photo collage, mostly of the two of them—memories from France and moments from Léon’s life in the U.S.

“Welcome home,” Léon said softly, watching as Y/N took in the room.

“Our home,” Y/N corrected, smiling at him. They placed their suitcase by the door and walked over to the couch, where Léon had laid out a few of their favorite snacks from France—a thoughtful gesture that made Y/N’s heart swell.

They sat down together, Léon’s arm draped around Y/N’s shoulders, pulling them close. “This feels surreal,” Y/N said, their voice barely above a whisper.

“I know,” Léon agreed, his fingers gently playing with Y/N’s hair. “But it’s real. We’re here. Together.”

Y/N turned to look at him, their faces just inches apart. “What do we do now?”

Léon grinned, leaning in to press a soft kiss to their lips. “Now, we make this place ours. We create new memories, explore this city, and just… be together.”

Y/N nodded, a smile tugging at their lips. “J’aime ça.”

They spent the rest of the day unpacking, Léon showing Y/N around the apartment. The kitchen had a small dining table with two chairs, perfect for cozy breakfasts. The living room had a large window that let in plenty of natural light, and the bedroom was simple yet comfortable, with a queen-sized bed that looked like it had been made with care.

“C’est parfait,” Y/N said as they walked into the bedroom, running their hand over the soft bedspread. Léon came up behind them, wrapping his arms around their waist.

“I’m glad you think so,” he murmured, resting his chin on their shoulder. “Because I want this to be our space, where we can relax after a long day, where we can just be ourselves.”

Y/N turned in his arms to face him, their hands resting on his chest. “I’m so happy to be here with you, Léon. I know it was hard being apart, but it made this moment even more special.”

Léon smiled, leaning down to kiss them softly. “Every second was worth it if it brought us to this moment.”

They stood there for a moment, just holding each other, savoring the feeling of finally being together after so long. The challenges of long-distance seemed like a distant memory now that they were in each other’s arms.

As the day turned into evening, they curled up on the couch together, a soft blanket draped over them. Léon had his arm around Y/N, their head resting on his shoulder as they watched a movie. But more than the movie, Y/N was focused on the steady rhythm of Léon’s breathing, the warmth of his body next to theirs.

“Je t’aime,” Y/N whispered, looking up at him.

Léon smiled, leaning down to press a kiss to their forehead. “Je t’aime aussi, pour toujours.”

For the first time in what felt like forever, everything was perfect. They were together, and nothing else mattered.

As they drifted off to sleep that night, Léon holding Y/N close, they both knew that this was just the beginning of their new life together. No more distance, no more longing—just endless days of love and happiness.

-Atsushi walks you to class. Every single day. No exceptions. He will walk you to your class and hold your hand while you both walk. He's honestly such a sweetheart. He's always keeping his hand gently intertwined with yours.

-Ranpo is the smart kid and honestly, he could care less about class. He finds it easy and refuses to take any difficult classes because they're not of interest and he can't just sit around as much. Although, one mention of you transferring to a more difficult class, he might just transfer too. Not to be in the same class as you, of course..

-Kunikida, like Ranpo, is smart. He takes the difficult classes and is most likely a tutor. He's good at teaching and will help you with your homework or studying if you don't understand it. He's really nice about it (sometimes) but, will get pissed off if you attempt to just make him do it all for you.

-Dazai... He's popular to say the least. Although, he doesn't particularly care much about the popularity and just does what he wants. He'll hang out with who he wants regardless of their popularity and walk up to people he's interested in, including you!

-Yosano is 100% the person you would want to have as a best friend. She's always on your side and will defend you if need be. A lot of people are intimidated by her but, she's just protective over those she holds dear to her!

-Chuuya's pretty nice to you, he's a bit unsure about talking to you out of the blue. He feels like he needs some sort of reason and he just struggles to find a reason. He also hates when Dazai pokes fun at him while you're around.

-Akutagawa is the person who never talks. He literally will not talk unless you speak to him first and then he'll debate whether or not he should respond to you. He only talks when necessary which is nearly never. He isn't very talkative even when you get to know him either but it's still nice to know that he will talk to you once you are friends!

-Higuchi is the one girl who enjoys the romance talk. She loves getting into talking about crushes with you! Of course, she isn't always talking about crushes but, she talks about it quite a bit so she's always interested to hear what's going on with the one you hold close to your heart!

-Gin is slightly more talkative than her brother but, she still doesn't talk much. She's a lot more on the shy side and get's a bit nervous sometimes! Her confidence builds up slowly but, she is grateful that you came up to her first, she's not sure she could have done that herself.

-Tachihara has the 'delinquent' look to him and honestly, that's the kind of reputation he gets. He has a tough expression on almost all the time but, once you approach him, he gets a little surprised. He's the type of guy to slowly let his soft side show as he spends more time with you. (He still keeps up the 'tough guy' act whenever you're not around though)

Ohwada Rui [ 大和田ルイ ] – The alleged first Chosen Children’s origins, 20 years old. With a very troublesome childhood, he managed to solve his issues with Ukkomon on his birthday, Feb 29, thanks to Daisuke and the others. Now he lives a normal yet calm life with Ukkomon. Due to a certain incident in March 2003 he had avoided human contact in fear of being called a ‘freak’, making his relationships with people quite difficult. He’s trying his best to form new bonds, but with no success. He works at Infinity Cafe, a coffee shop owned by his cousin and her husband, as a barista.

Ukkomon [ ウッコモン ] – Rui’s digimon partner, and allegedly to be connected to something bigger like a god entity from the Digital World. Despite all the slips committed by him, Rui made amends with him and then both then started to work harder to get to know each other better. He is still learning what he is allowed to do and what not.

Nakajima Ayame [ 中島あやめ ] – Rui’s childhood friend and a Chosen Child from September 2003. She is a 20 year old nice girl who doesn’t like to watch people getting into fights, so she keeps wishing to be able to have something in hands that could heal people. With this in mind, she decided to pursue a medical career – at least something little and not big, something like being a nurse to assist people in need, taking care of them. Before Ukkomon, she was a little nervous to talk with Rui, because he would always be the target of the bullies and she feared getting involved in those fights. But once Ukkomon appeared, she witnessed that strange creature standing up for Rui… She got courage enough to talk with him, and become one of his first friends at the kindergarten. She would always be carrying a first aid kit with her in her young days, helping Rui and Hiroomi. She might not like ugly fights, but she can stand up for others a little once she has gotten older, and she keeps simply checking on others like a good friend. She still uses pigtails, even if lower now as an adult.

Cutemon [ キュートモン ] – Ayame’s digimon partner. Cutemon is a digimon who’s not a fighter and yes a healer. Cutemon never managed to evolve but she does not feel she’s the type to fight tough enemies, so she sticks by just healing everyone with her healing magic skills. She’s quite timid and resembles the child Ayame to some extent, but the difference is she doesn’t fear befriending others when she gets an interest in them and is willing to form connections.

Koyama Hiroomi [ 小山広臣 ] – Rui and Ayame’s childhood friend, 20 year old. Hiroomi is a good, funny and supportive friend type, but he had some issues of being a little coward. He could witness Rui getting bullied and would want so hard to go there and stop them, but his body would just freeze and he couldn’t even say anything. Yeah he had the trouble of not being able to help others due to fear. Ukkomon worked as some sort of role model to go and make a difference. He wouldn’t get into a fist fight with anyone, but he would simply call them out and keep cheering Rui up. His funny aura was quite captivating too, and he definitely noticed he and Rui had something in common which was them being quite non-confrontational, except Hiroomi was able to voice his needs and feelings quite better than Rui. When Rui suddenly stopped going to school in March 2003, he tried to ask everyone around about his friend, with Ayame’s help too, and this is how they learned by rumors that something had happened to Rui. But he and Ayame never had success in contacting Rui for a long LONG time. When he turned an adult he decided to dye his bangs, and adopted a more stylish appearance. He doesn’t know what he wants to pursue as a career, but his part-time job is just being a delivery boy. He likes vehicles though, and his scooter is his best friend (besides Ayame, of course).

Motomiya Daisuke [ 本宮大輔 ] – A 21 year old Chosen Child from April 2002 who saved the world countless times at the moment. He became Rui’s friend in 2012, when the mysterious giant egg incident happened. Daisuke is not that smart, but he has a heart of gold, and the ability to say some insightful things from time to time. He’s a pragmatic person, doesn’t think too hard on stuff and is always trying to help everyone in need. Daisuke works at Yamatoya Ramen and is allowed to run his own business – Motomiya Ramen – there on Tuesdays. He knows Hiroomi as a coworker of sorts, since Hiroomi is a delivery boy who goes to Yamatoya Ramen either for work or to chill on his days off. Even though their relationship is professional and they don't know much about each other.

V-mon [ ブイモン ] – Daisuke’s digimon partner and business partner. V-mon is not much different from Daisuke, and he’s very much in sync with his human partner. V-mon loves chocolate, which makes Rui always spoil him with anything chocolate-flavored when Daisuke and V-mon drop by at the cafe.

The Chansey greeted Choro. Glad the pokemon remembers her from the call awhile back. "Hi, Choro. How have you been?" The pokemon's description of Chansey was accurate. Chansey put a hand to her cheek in thought at the question. "Hmm. The biggest idiot is our stray Thundercat, Zeraora. Sarah fed him a tuna sandwich after tending a wound, and he's stuck around ever since." Zeraora: "She likes to tease me." Chansey waved her hand to her trainer, Sarah who's sitting at the kitchen table. Sarah accidently grabbed a box of pokechow instead of cereal and was pouring it into a bowl and adding milk to it. "..." yeah, she's not going to comment on it, "This is Sarah. I guess you can call her my trainer, I do battle for her sometimes. I am her (self-appointed) service and caregiver pokemon. She's missing a leg and covered in burn scars. I take care of her and I also act as her assistant pokemon. She's a freelance pokemon medic. Our relationship is good. She learned to rely on me and that makes me happy." Sarah: ¬_¬ "Chansey is bossy, but she makes sure everyone helps with their share of chores. Chansey helps a lot with the cleaning and likes cooking with me in the kitchen." she looks down at the pokechow in her bowl, "This is too dry. Remind me to buy a fresher box." Chansey again ignoring the pokechow eating of her human, goes on to introduce everyone else. "The ivysaur next to her is Bubbles. He's cool. As Sarah's first pokemon, he's little older and wiser knowing Sarah the longest and teamwork. We are good friend." Bubbles: "Nice to meet you, Bud." Chansey continued, "Then we have little Machop. He's tiny for his size, timid, Sarah rescued him as a hatchling from a bad trainer. Machop is still too scared to fight after what he's been through. He became Sarah's service pokemon and helps carry things. He's more of the team's little sibling." Machop: "..." He just wants to eat his breakfast. Feeling the introductions are getting to long, she sped things up for the others. "This is Absol. Another stray that Sarah adopted after treating an injury. He's a bit vain when it comes to is fur now that he knows what shampoo does. Likes baths and brushing." Absol: "HEY! Why do they get a big introduction and I get THAT? Also.. I like baths with shampoo. It makes my fur soft and FLUFFY." Chansey ¬_¬ "He's very vain, gruff, a messy eater, wears more food than he eats, afraid of spicy tacos." Absol: "You put a tomoto berry in my taco! It was too spicy! I got-" Chansey interrupts before he could finish that statement, "He is basically a pet dog. They are outside right now, but the other members of our team is an Alpha sized Charizard Sarah calls Chari. His wise, cool, dependable, and our neighbor when we moved in above the ranger station of the pokemon Sanctuary we now call home. Charizard always seems to know what to do in a situation, but rarely talks." Chansey respects Charizard. "We also have a cloyster now for some reason. He just showed up, dumped here by some pokemon breeders, and Sarah took him in as part of her team." Sarah: "Choro, is your name? Nice to meet you. Chansey's already introduced the team, so I don't need too. Feel free to join us for breakfast. Fresh coffee is in the pot, there is more Moomoo milk in the fridge, pancakes on the counter, cereal and pokechow on the table. Help yourself."

On Annihilape: Methods, Care, and Ethics

right so it occurred to me that I should prooobably discuss Annihilape a bit since it's a very controversial mon. let me just put on my Serious Voice™ for a bit

As an expert in nonstandard evolution and the owner of an Annihilape, I often get questions about the species and how to obtain it. To put it simply: most responsible Primeape owners will never end up evolving their Primeape. The exact circumstances behind what triggers the evolution are still very poorly understood, as it's not uncommon for Primeape to die from what appear to be the same conditions that trigger the evolution. In fact, they still die when they become Annihilape. I love my dear Pollen Puff dearly, but it doesn't have a pulse. It's just a highly-tangible mass of spiritual energy. You have to physically kill a Primeape to evolve it into an Annihilape, there's no way around it.

Current theories to possible evolution triggers involve raised cortisol levels in tandem with some sort of reason to live. The reason part is purely speculative, as we can't read the thoughts of a Primeape, but we can interpret it from the fact that all Annihilape that evolve continue fighting through evolution as though they don't even notice that they've died. So, either they're too angry to stop fighting, or they have a reason to continue. As for the raised cortisol, we have been able to record that consistently by drawing blood samples from battling Primeape. By nature, the species is able to handle baseline cortisol and adrenaline levels that would kill a human. However, they can still experience cortisol poisoning, and the symptoms are often far more intense once it crosses their tolerance threshold. It's why Primeape will often just seem to get so angry they die. However, it doesn't have to be anger. Any strong negative emotions will raise a Primeape's base cortisol, whether it be an increase in anger, sadness, fear, or even just general stress.

But hey, things happen. Sometimes, you end up in high-stress situations unintentionally and your Primeape evolves in the heat of the action. So, what then? Well, first of all, allow your newly-incorporealized buddy to finish out its fight. Spontaneous evolution sometimes happens prior to death, and allowing the Annihilape to finish the fight might put it at enough peace to allow it to pass on. Even if it doesn't, it will still allow it to regulate its emotional state and gain closure quicker concerning its own death. Make sure you give it plenty of attention and love during this tough time. Even if it wants to be alone, make sure you give it a comfort item with your scent on it so it knows you care. The last thing you want is for your newfound vengeful spirit to find a reason to hate you. Also, though Annihilape no longer need food to survive, they can still consume food and incorporate it into their body as pure energy. In other words, you can still give your ghostly friend its favorite treats from when it was alive and are thoroughly encouraged to do so.

Beyond that, make sure it has healthy outlets for its rage outside of battling. Annihilape are naturally confrontational and do gain a lot of enrichment from a good fight, but without other outlets, they may become lost in their violence and slowly lose their sense of selves. Contrary to popular belief, the Mankey line do have emotions and personalities beyond anger. They're actually incredibly intelligent as a species, and can demonstrate complex wants and desires if listened to. So, making sure they don't completely slip into a pure vengeful spirit mindset is crucial to maintaining their mental health.

In conclusion, I hope you never evolve your Primeape into an Annihilape. As it stands, it may as well be pure luck whether or not you get a successful evolution rather than a dead Primeape, and even if you are successful, your Pokemon will suffer great mental distress. However, in the event that you do evolve it, whether through ignorance or through poor luck, don't forget to love it all the same. It may be a ghost with anger issues severe enough to level a town now, but it's still your partner. Treat it with the same respect you always would have.

Cross Evo Arc: A Moment of Reflection Before the Finale

Finally, we're here. The Elite 4. I genuinely did not think we were going to make it here in Renegade Platinum, I genuinely did not know if it was possible with these little guys. But we have.

So, I'd like to take a moment to shout out the heroes who have helped us on this journey.

Koishi the Roselia

Our starter, Koishi was an early game powerhouse, and late-game a valuable niche member of the team. Her Energy Balls and Sludge Bombs took care of many an Azumarill, and her decent Sp Def stat allowed her to survive when sometimes, I thought, she would not.

Mokou the Magby/Magmar

Looking back, I realize just how insanely lucky it was to get a Magby out of the random egg in Renegade Platinum's Jubilife. I otherwise would not have been able to get this encounter until after Gardenia - yet Mokou was essential to my early-game, especially helpful because it allowed me not to have to worry about the level cap of 16 on Koishi. But her usefulness didn't end there. Mokou consistently provided switch-ins to powerful steel types such as Magnezone and decimated them with Flamethrower in return. Her Psychic and Aura Sphere were not to be underestimated, either.

Momoyo the Onix

Thanks to the buffs given to Onix by drayano, Momoyo was truly a force to be reckoned with in this run. She single-handedly defeated Roark, and proceeded to be Mars and Jupiter's worst nightmare. She set up Rocks, she beat up flying types, she quaked the earth, she ate resist berries - Momoyo was very versatile and very essential to the run.

Raiko the Electabuzz

Raiko was definitely one of the most used mons in the entire run. Specs, Life Orb, and Expert Belt Thunderbolts were almost all she needed to handle a majority of trainers in Sinnoh - especially the dozens of Swimmers. But every once in a while, a stray grass turtle would wander into her range. And upon being met with a Hidden Power Ice, they would realize it was their last mistake.

Hina the Tangela

I knew going in that Hina would be incredibly useful, I mean, just look at how insanely tough Eviolite Tangela is to kill. But I could not predict just how many times the entire run rested on this little girl's shoulders. Play Rough, Double-Edge, if it was a neutral hit, Hina ate it up with no problem, and holding her trusty Big Root, she sapped it all back up with a shockingly strong base 100 Sp Atk Giga Drain and Leech Seed. And if it was a resisted hit like Earthquake or Aqua Tail? Well that just healed her.

Megumu the Murkrow

Um... did Murkrow do....... anything?

Satori the Aipom

Obviously, Aipom wasn't going to do anything - or so I thought! For Gardenia, Aipom set up a SubPass into Mokou that won the battle. Late-game, Aipom's Fake Out + Last Resort combo obliterated Dahlia's Jolteon without giving it a chance to do any shenanigans - and this same combo won an unshown but really difficult double battle on Victory Road.

Kutaka the Farfetch'd

Another Pokemon graciously buffed by drayano, Farfetch'd was another mon that the run would have been impossible without. With 110 base speed, being the fastest on the team, and 110 base attack, being the strongest on the team, it's STAB Flys and Close Combats wreaked havoc on bug, fighting, and dark types... as well as the god of time.

Yuuma the Sneasel

Sneasel, the Pokemon who gave me the idea for this run in the first place. Like many others, she was designed as a stand-alone Pokemon! Unlike many others, she was actually designed... well! She's fast, she's strong... just not quite as fast and strong as her later evolution. I'll say this again, without Yuuma, this run would have been in no way possible. Switching in on Psychic type moves for my many Psychic-weak team members such as Sukuna, then outspeeding and one shotting any frail Psychic type (namely Alakazam). Being able to hold on to a Focus Sash with moves such as Swords Dance, Dig, and Brick Break able to handle things Sneasel normally wouldn't beat. Truly, Yuuma was an invaluable offensive threat.

Remilia the Gligar

Early on, Remilia was defensively EVd, yet still managed to deal big damage with her Aerial Ace and Bulldoze. Resisting Bug, Fighting, Electric, Poison, and Ground, Remilia was a key switch in, as well as an offensive and defensive threat, throughout the entire game. Later on, Remilia was re-EVd to be more offensive, in order to guarantee OHKOs on Pokemon like Infernape, Luxray, and Electivire. Remilia beat Byron and Volkner, and played an essential role in the difficult final battle against Lucas.

Eirin the Chansey

This run would not be possible without Eirin THIS RUN, WOULD NOT, AT ALL, IN ANY WAY, BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT EIRIN. There's a reason many people ban Blissey from use in Nuzlockes, and that's because basically any special attacking Pokemon can be completely neutralized. Seismic Toss, Toxic, and Soft-boiled were her bread and butter, and Jolteon's ran in fear. Focus Blasts missed on purpose. She was a giant wall, and no one could climb her. And it was all thanks to her elixir to see the future that we were able to rewind several times after deaths to prove that this run was theoretically possible.

Sagume the Togetic

Though we didn't see much of Sagume, she was our primary answer to Kingdra, being immune to Dragon moves and taking surprisingly little from Ice Beam. I wish we had seen more of her, but Togetic was consistently outclassed as a Fairy type, Ground Immunity, and Fighting Resistance by another member.

Sekibanki the Misdreavus

In Renegade Platinum, Misdreavus is a Ghost/Fairy type, and thanks to that, Sekibanki has earned a spot in the top 2 offensive threats right up there with Yuuma. Countless fights were won with Sekibanki as a win condition, from her obliterating Palkia with a Moonblast to her Calm Mind-boosted attacks sweeping entire teams when she was given the chance. Though base 85 Sp Atk isn't a ton, the high base power of Moonblast and Shadow Ball, her useful coverage in Thunderbolt, her access to items such as Expert Belt and Choice Specs, and ultimately - her special bulk, were what allowed Sekibanki to be a top menace of my team. Dragons beware.

Komachi the Scyther

Komachi definitely helped battle Team Galactic a few times, but her most notable achievement was in the fight against Maylene, where she OHKOd a Machamp with her Technician Aerial Ace.

Yuyuko the Porygon

Yuyuko was slow, frail, and weak. She never did a single thing other than almost die once. Had I allowed myself to evolve her, I'm sure she would have been very useful, and I think Porygon2 is even a justifiable mon to include, but I decided against it, as Porygon WAS designed as a stand-alone mon.

Kogasa the Lickitung

Kogasa surprised me with how ultimately useless she was. With a great movepool and decent bulk, I thought I might use Lickitung in at least one battle, and though she was brought along for Wake, she didn't actually make any appearances. I hope she enjoyed the box :<

Keiki the Girafarig

You might expect me to start insulting Keiki like I have many other generally not useful mons, but a) I would never do that as I love both Keiki and Girafarig too much and b) though I would never have called her essential, Keiki DID help out in quite a few trainer battles! Eternity the Yanma

Though Yanma is not recorded as having done anything in my playthrough documentation, Eternity mowed through Galactic grunts and double battles alike with her powerful Compound Eyes Hurricanes! Her 4x resistance to fighting allowed her to switch in and retaliate, but most of the time, she held a Focus Sash to compensate for her frailty.

Letty the Corsola

Corsola was also, thankfully, the beneficiary of a large buff in Renegade Platinum. Her Defense, Special Defense, and Special Attack were all greatly increased. This allowed Letty to run Modest 252 HP 252 Sp Atk and tank most hits like a beast without fear of death even to a super-effective move, so long as it wasn't grass type. She always ran her trusty Surf and Power Gem, supplemented by exchangeable moves such as Ice Beam, Protect, Scald, and Stealth Rock. It's very possible that Letty will be coming into the Elite 4.

Sukuna the Qwilfish

Qwilfish also got buffed in Renegade Platinum - most significantly, she was given her hidden ability in later generations, Intimidate. This allowed Sukuna to serve just as vital a role on the team as Hina - but resisting most types Hina was weak to, and vice versa. The combination of Hina and Sukuna created an incredible defensive AND offensive core, as like Hina, Sukuna could hit way harder than you'd expect for this little fully defensively invested fish with powerful Waterfalls and Gunk Shots. Most of the time, Hina ran the same 4 moves: Waterfall, Gunk Shot, Taunt, and Spikes - and for good reason, that's pretty much all you'll ever need. But what must be remembered is the time I scoured Qwilfish's learnset for a strategy that required Hina be the one to beat Cyrus's Weavile... and found Revenge. Hina's Revenge stopped the Swords Dancing Weavile in its tracks and made Cyrus, by all accounts, feel like a little, little man.

“I dinna care. My granddaughter will be buried in consecrated ground.” Lizzy shrinks under his glance. She has just tried to remind her Laird that, as the baby was born still, she shouldn’t be… no, he has made up his mind. She will keep her peace.

 

“As you will, my Laird.” She courtesies and quickly leaves him. Her Lady catches her on the way out.

 

“Don’t fret about it. This is just very tough on us all. Jamie will do as he sees best.”

 

“Yes my Lady.”

 

In their shelter, Bree and Jeremiah, hold each other. She hurts everywhere, from her womb, horribly empty, to her breasts, making useless milk. Her mama had bonded them to help her through it. Finn watches his parents, his own face wrinkled with distress.

 

“I wish I could help her.” Faith walks back and forth, carrying a fussing Grace. Ian rocks Mercy and Hope.

 

“Aye, it breaks my heart. I ken it happens. My own mam had a baby born still.”

As her auntie smells like family and her nipple is placed by her mouth, she doesn’t mind at all. She is soon contently nursing. Faith sits beside her and nurses her sisters, wondering why she fought this so hard.

 

Jeremiah is assisted by Jamie, Ian, and Fergus, in digging his daughter ‘s grave. It is a task they are all ill-prepared for. Shovels pierce the dirt and the loamy smell of it soon fills the air.

 

“I thought to be doing this for a garden not…” Jamie says, wiping tears and sweat of his face before handing the shovel over to Jeremiah for the last bit.

 

“I know I didn’t ken her like Brianna did but,” he stops short of the last shovel full, resting against it, his eyes full of tears, “it aches like I did.”

 

The men gather around him, hands on his back and shoulders. “She was and is your daughter. It is well and good to grief.” His Laird says.

 

They bury her under an oak tree. The family gathers around as Murtagh places the tiny wrapped body in the ground. Weeping echoes around silencing the birds.

 

With no priest, they make do by reciting their own prayers and bible verses over her. Then the men cover her up. Bree turns away, burying her face against her mama ‘s shoulder.

Bonjour mon ami! My oldest sister is an environmental attorney and she has to travel to the Galar region for a case. They’re quite strict about allowing foreign Pokémon in so her Florges will be staying with me for a week or two. Do you ever take care of the other Ranger’s Pokémon while they’re away?

Yes we Rangers watch after, not only each others pokemon but even people who ask for help from time to time.

We aren't a daycare by any means, but sometimes we might help out trainers going through tough times or pokemon going through rehabilitation.

As for other Rangers, we usually keep it in house, most of the time my team watches over my Pokémon because I'm doing the most traveling, however I do watch over theirs as well, Smokey is a big cry baby the first hour while Eddie is gone.

Archy (Minnie's Cloyster) is very picky, just like his trainer. We are still getting to know the little Carvanah, but Minnie has definitely gotten attached but she hasn't made it official yet.

No doubt we would be watching them when she travels to terrains that aren't Water Pokemon Friendly.

Archy is adept to cold waters but land and snow don't do super well for him, so Minnie needs to be support when we do snow missions.

Its always fun to spend time with my partners Pokemon, in fact the most surprisingly fun pokemon is Messi (Jo's Tangrowth) *Pronounced Missy*.

In contrast to my Boss' more cold and distant personality, Messi is pretty warm and welcoming, so we never have problems with her. In fact she joins me and my team for patrols at times when Jo is super into her research.

All in all, yeah we watch over each other's pokemon, and even Rangers who are visiting can leave their pokemon during missions if needed (so long as they behave)

We built a strong community, and we are very proud of it!

It’s not a rare occurrence for you to arrive home and find Ramon asleep with one of the recordings playing in the background , and it’s during those moments that you fully realize that you really are the only thing keeping him together .

Whenever he happens to have a nightmare ( let me tell you , it happens often … this poor man is just so scarred by what he saw and what he did ) , Ramon is really going to appreciate it if you decide to sing him to sleep :

What the fuck is happening to me those nights! ! ! Bon, okay c'est un journal about you, but here is your boyfriend ranting... But I'm sure you won't mind baby, right ? Je parle pas beaucoup de mon grief car c'est difficile à expliquer, à exprimer, puis on se sent très seul en le vivant aussi car personne ne peut totalement comprendre what its like, because this person belonged to you and you only. Et ce soir je me disais que as terrible as it was those past few years, autant pour lui que pour moi, des fois ça me manque. Je me sentais helpful, tu vois ? J'étais occupé 24h sur 24, et ça avait beau être un enfer, le retour à la vie réelle still feels real. Je me demande comment je tenais debout back then alors que now, les choses les plus futiles du quotidien me fatiguent très rapidement. So yeah... It's just weird, dealing with death. Sometimes I forget that some of my friends are dead et quand on me le rappel, it feels like someone is piercing a whole in my heart. Puis tu sais ce qui est unfair aussi ? Comment les gens invalident lorsque tu perds un grand-parent, car c'est censé être le courant de la vie, l'ordre des choses as they say. Alors que they were humans au même titre que n'importe quelle autre personne, entity or soul. I mean yeah, sure, id rather see my grand-parents dying dying rather than my parents or younger family members but like wtf is this thought right ? It aint fair, he was like my dad, he was truly. And what I lived and what he went through was so hard, so traumatizing. Je me demande how im still standing, it was worth than anything ive lived through before ; and not the death, but everything preceding it. Et as weird as it sounds, sometimes I do miss it, like I said. Cette proximité avec les personnes qui me savaient aidant, the way I was battling everyday to make people understand about the illness, battling for the professionals to take me seriously, in making it better ; in spending and scarifying years of my life into taking care of him while it was no place for a 20 something years old. Cela me manque aussi de connect with old people, baby dont laugh, I swear... Je me souviens que je visitais une old lady qui vivait la même chose avec son mari et on se comprenait tellement, c'était les seules personnes qui me comprenait, au final, car they were living the same thing. C'est terrible car j'aimerai te faire voir dans mon esprit, te faire ressentir ce que j'ai vécu, pour que tu en saisisses toute l'ampleur. But that would be too painful et j'aimerai que tu ne puisses jamais get a glimpse of any of it, I don't wish that on anyone et let alone on you. Not on my baby. But I think I need yo how you because it's now a part of me ; more than this, It shaped me into the person that I am today et je pense c'est pour cela aussi que je me retrouve dans mon field. I really enjoyed the latest episode too!! I got teary-eyed when he helped the hurt Onisuzume and befriended it, enjoyed watching Takeshi treat its injuries, and watching him feed the Koratta--it felt like going back and fixing things, showing his growth. It's moving. Their bond was so touching! Yeah, I also thought it was sad Tsutarja was hardly in it! I'm happy to see her again, but I thought she'd get a bigger role like Mijumaru got last time!

Yeah, that's exactly what I loved this episode for: the growth. I actually had this text post written about Ash in my drafts but I didn't come around posting it so maybe I could use this as an excuse to share it:

The thing about Ash is that his development isn’t measured just by his ability to win an important battle or catch a mon or evolve it. (I mean, that should be rather obvious but sometimes I feel like the fandom only counts his wins.) That is exactly what MPM06 (similarly to MPM04) tried to show us. Ash has always been a compassionate person; even if he was quite arrogant and hot headed in the beginning, he still cared about his Pokémon and friends a lot. However, what he has gained is some self control (not letting negative emotions take over in a tough situation, letting his selflessness guide him), understanding how his compassion can make a difference, and the knowledge how to treat different pokemon species. Species like Beartic, Ursaring, Beedrill, and Spearow/Fearow have often been portrayed as aggressive/”scary” pokémon, but this time, instead of running away or attacking them, Ash chose to treat them like he would treat his mons, and it made a difference. 

Back to Snivy for a moment: yep, it would have 100% been better if she had gotten the same screen time as oshawott/mijumaru did but... well. Can't always have what you want. At least it looks like that my other favorite girl Bayleef gets a ton of screen time this week (if the preview and screenshots are anything to go by) so for that I'm super excited!
