A Longiano è iniziata la residenza creativa per la ricerca e la composizione del nuovo spettacolo di Beatrice Botticini Bianchi e Giovanni Careccia.

Gli autori, spinti dalla necessità di indagare il tema del conflitto all’interno delle relazioni umane, hanno ideato un dispositivo poliedrico, versatile e multidisciplinare. With love è una ricerca composta da laboratori e atti performativi. Ogni incontro prevede l’analisi e lo sviluppo di materiali connessi alla tematica, che vengono poi integrati in una performance in continuo divenire, malleabile e plasmata dagli avvenimenti contemporanei e dai contenuti espressi dal pubblico, in un’ottica di creazione co-partecipata.

Beatrice Botticini Bianchi, danzatrice, performer e autrice, classe ‘98. Diplomatasi nel 2020 presso l’Accademia Susanna Beltrami – Dancehaus, prosegue la sua formazione artistica approfondendo i linguaggi coreutici tra Italia ed estero. Lavora come interprete per Susanna Beltrami, Paola Stella Minni e Kostantinos Rizos (Futur Immoral), Erato Zavara, Christine Ellison e per la compagnia Escape Project. L’apertura verso le arti performative nella loro totalità la porta ad approfondire l’aspetto teatrale; viene selezionata come performer in produzioni del Teatro Franco Parenti e del Piccolo Teatro di Milano e d’Europa. Nel 2022 si laurea all’Università degli Studi di Milano con una tesi in Sociologia, materia che continua a indagare nei suoi primi approcci come autrice. Nel 2023, durante il Corso di Alta Formazione per Attori-Creatori di Residenza I.DRA., crea il suo primo solo performativo Mannequin in cui esplora le dinamiche di potere dello sguardo e della femminilità. Nello stesso anno viene ammessa al Corso di Alta Formazione per coreografi e danzautori I corpi e le voci della danza. Attualmente prosegue nella sua ricerca autoriale, condividendo processi anche con artisti nazionali e internazionali.

Giovanni Careccia, artista, dancemaker e performer freelance classe ‘93. Si diploma presso ArteMente, Centro di Alta Formazione per la Danza. Negli ultimi anni la sua attenzione si sposta sulla danza d’autore partecipando al progetto sostenuto dal MiC, C.I.M.D. – Incubatore per futuri coreografi e frequentando il Corso di Alta Formazione I Corpi e le Voci della Danza sostenuto dalla regione Emilia-Romagna. Dal 2019 collabora attivamente con il dramaturg Christian Consalvo e altre figure artistiche che completano e arricchiscono le sue performance. Danza per Daniele Ninarello, Silvia Gribaudi, Sofia Nappi e la compagnia Lost Movement. Le sue creazioni sono selezionate per diversi festival, rassegne ed eventi culturali nazionali. Nel 2021 con la performance After Allpartecipa alla Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore – Anticorpi XL. I suoi lavori ad oggi sono supportati da Sanpapié, Organismo di Produzione, Centro ArteMente, Organismo di Promozione, e FLIC – Festival Lanciano in Contemporanea, Festival Multidisciplinare, riconosciuti dal Ministero della Cultura.

Teen council 11/17/17

For November’s teen council meeting we met to discuss in depth about the recent devastation that occurred in Puerto Rico due to being hit by both hurricanes Irma (category 4) as well as Maria (category 5). We got the opportunity to hear from several guest speakers regarding several organizations to help Puerto Rico in their time of need.

We were first introduced to Salome, a woman whose whole career has been tied to Puerto Rico and working for nonprofits involving Puerto Rico.

 Followed by the introduction of Carmen, who stayed in Puerto Rico until college where she came to the states to attend Harvard business and grad school.

Next is Christina, who’s focused on helping the island which has been tremendously set back decades since all their losses from the hurricanes.

Then we met Yadira Valdivia Guevara who lives in Puerto Rico, from the organization “Centros sos Isolina ferre”. The organization was founded 48 years ago and helps about 37,006 people annually with their 5 locations (Ponce, two in San Juan, Canovanas, and Gabana). They have focused all their resources to serve victims in low income communities. So far they have helped about 20,230 people, and collected about 161,780 pounds of food and 12,170 gallons of water.

The next organization we were informed of is “Para la Naturaleza” which is managing 50 natural reserves all across Puerto Rico. Due to the hurricanes more then 100 farmers lost their harvest , trees, fruit seeds, and equipment. P.L.N. will provide 50 sustainable community centers, have $500,000 go to all agricultural efforts and is planning to plant 1 million trees and have 200 jobs available within the next 5 years. P.L.N. has received a quarter of a million dollars to assist them and their work.

Another organization is the “Boys and Girls Club of Puerto Rico” which was created 50 years ago. 58% of kids live in poverty, 89%of B.A.G.C. live in poverty and schools are too damaged to open. They have about 1,230 people in daily attendance; 20,000 kids have been effected/helped so far. 3 of their 11 clubs have been severely damaged while all the rest still need repairs; these facilities have been re-purposed as local service and  supply centers for the time being.They have reestablished recreational and educational things throughout Puerto Rico. They have received a vast amount of water, food, goods and supplies and provide hot meals for participants and their families. Here, the young people of Puerto Rico can help get the educations and tools needed for economic security. 

Last but certainly not least, We learned about “Teens4PR” and got to hear from some of the teens who are founding members of this incredible organization, including Sofia, Salma, Santiago and Luke. Teens4PR is helping young people fund raise for hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico. They have a goal of $10,000 and are intending on reaching the goal with bake sales, movie night ext. and the help from any volunteers willing to join the efforts of helping Puerto Rico in their time of need. The kids involved in Teens4PR have learned deeply about awful devastation, making a difference, leadership skills, and that even a little bit goes a long way. Any money raised through Teens4PR will be divvied up between the 3 organizations previously mentioned that Teens4PR is partnered with. Salome, Christina and Carmen, all parents of the aforementioned kids, say that their role in Teens4PR is to bring their children and others all together for a great cause; the idea is to help Puerto Rico and continue years of connections between their children and others. 

Puerto Rico is truly in desperate need of our help due to all the horrific things the people there are dealing with. Houses exposed to rain due to little or no roofing, tremendous flooding, some suffering leptospirosis (a disease when consuming water where traces of animal urine is found), people still with a loss of power whether its all the time or still having inconsistent power (44% still loose power despite them regaining it at some points). Puerto Rico is not receiving the help people in the U.S. would get, therefore they DO need all the help they can get and we can provide; No one in Puerto Rico is exempt from the effects.
