So I thought my first ever post would be of, my most recent creation for my latest (but not greatest) fictional railway!
And now, some lore. The line from Edinburgh to Aberdeen was too weak for the both the 4-6-2 and 4-6-4 tender locomotives, so the CME - Edward Carbour - had to think of something quickly. The original 4-4-2 tanks had proved themselves too small - and quite frankly too difficult to maintain - to keep running the line efficiently. So Carbour took the 4-6-4 tender, and made it into a tank engine. What became of this was probably the most well-received out of all AG&NJR locomotives - The AG&NJR 'River' Class. Over 30 of these baltic tanks were built, ranging from No. 440 to 469, and the majority were named after rivers in Scotland. Coincidentally, they also received the nickname of 'Aberdeen Baltics', due to their common appearance on every and any traffic from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. They proved so popular that they even ran local services between Edinburgh and Glasgow, lasting well into grouping days. The entire class was withdrawn by 1960, alongside the closure of the AG&NJR network by Doctor Richard Beeching.

Turns out there are three of them. I've taken to calling them Pantalones Jim, Carbourator, and Spork. Last name Greaseman after their grandmother.
Here is Spork Greaseman looking at a leaf.
One of the neighborhood stray cats recently had kittens and I told M if he brought me one I'd humor any and all of his deepest darkest sexual fantasies so now it's almost 11pm and he's out in the back yard with a joint in his mouth and a can of cat food in his hand frantically trying to summon a котёнок for me like one might summon the devil
#we think if we can catch them we can keep one#probably Pantalones Jim because hes the one that we see most often#as the name suggests it looks like it is wearing a pair of white chinos#tres chic#we have friends to take the other two

Two Lane Blacktop - Road to Nowhere
Odd little road movie that I watched out of curiosity after seeing Grindhouse a couple weekends ago. Thank goodness for Warren Oates, he added a much needed dose of interest to contrast the wooden acting and pointless dialog of James Taylor and the other principals of the film (some prime examples: "I need to check the pistons" -- "you're going to need a new carbourator" -- etc etc). There are a few scenes here and there which pique your interest and mistakenly give the impression that something interesting is going to happen soon, but don't be fooled. Like Taylor's souped up Chevy project car, it makes a lot of noise, it goes pretty fast, but ultimately it is headed nowhere. Perhaps that's the point.

I had asked in my Insta stories whether you guys are interested in Kbeauty product fails and, to my surprise, almost every one of you was interested! Hence, beginning the series #KbeautyFail on my blog. Today we are going to talk about 2 products from Tosowoong Vita Clinic range. If this idea intrigues you then please continue reading.
Tosowoong Spot Whitening Vita Clinic Lotion:
To be very honest, I got the lotion because the packaging resembles that of Drunk Elephant products. (Okay! Judge me now.) It retails for USD19.80 and we get 80 ml product. I got mine from jolse.com. It comes in a pump packaging and two pumps are enough for one time use.
The formula claims to fade away pigmentation, brightens skin, boosts radiance and minimises uneven skin discolouration.
It’s impossible to find the ingredients list online in English, hence I translated with the help of Google translate. (hehe).
Purified water, glycerin dipropylene glycol caprylic / capric triglyceride Hydrogenated polydecene niacinamide (20000ppm), polyglyceryl-3-manganese glucoside stearate, cyclopentasiloxane butylene (0.1 ppm), glyceryl linolinate (0.5 ppm), glyceryl arachidonate (05con, retinyl palmitate (0.1 ponl biotin (0.1 con), S0IO nokogabaine (0,01com), sodium ascorbyl phosphate (5ppm), Tocopheryl acetate (5ppm), Thiamine HCI (0.1con), Panthenol (1ppln), Polik acid (0.1ppm), Pyridoxine (0.1ppm), Bosswellia resin extract, , P-100 stearate, polyglyceryl-10 stearate cetearyl alcohol, cyclohexasiloxane, glyceryl stearate, dimethicone / Nyl dimethicone crosspolymer, acrylate / C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, carbour, cetyl ethylhexanoate shea butter isohexadecane isocetes-25, alalax 1 tes-10, sodium acrylate / sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer, polysorbate 0. sorbitan oleate, hydrogenated lecithin, hydroxyethyl urea, maltitol hydroxy ethyl hexanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, perfume.

Lotion like consistency
Shiny appearance post application
My verdict on Tosowoong Spot Whitening Vita Clinic Lotion:
I had high expectations from this lotion, especially after coming tanned from my Malaysia trip but this did nothing. It does provide a good amount of moisturization but apart from that, nothing. The pigmentation on my skin and uneven skin colour remained just as they were. I kept using this just because I didn’t want to waste my 1400Rs. (approx.). It also leaves a shiny appearance on the skin but doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. So, if you are looking for a moisturiser, and don’t expect anything else from it, then you may give this a try.
Tosowoong Spot Brightening Vita Clinic Moisture Vitamin Pads:
These are pre-soaked pads meant for mild exfoliation, toning and moisturizing the skin. Use them as you’d normally use a toner. The tub retails for USD28.50 and there are 70 pads in it. I use them in my PM routine after double cleansing (cleansing balm/oil + facewash) followed up with a serum and moisturizer. I got this from Jolse.com as well.
For this one, there is absolutely no ingredients list whatsoever (why didn’t I check before purchasing?).
As per Jolse’s description:
It is made of microfiber fabric which is not irritating to the skin and removes dead skin cells or wastes.
Sea buckthorn extract and 13 kinds of fruit extracts make the skin clean and bright.
It can be used not only on the face but also on the elbow, knee, heel which need to exfoliate.
Contains AHA & BHA in milder concentration, suitable for daily use.
My verdict on Tosowoong Spot Brightening Vita Clinic Moisture Vitamin Pads:
This was my first time experiencing toning pads like these and I was very excited. I didn’t notice any brightening (lightening of my tan) effect but these did a good job of toner. These mildly exfoliated the dead skin and helped in removing any traces of makeup leftover during the cleansing process. I didn’t breakout while using these but the missing ingredient list is definitely a big concern for me. Also, there is a lot of liquid in the jar in addition to the 70 pads, I can’t comment on how much travel-friendly the packaging is!
I was a little sad as both the products turned out to be a bummer for me despite their high claims. But the good point was I didn’t break out at all using these (touch-wood).
Concluding my thoughts here. I hope you liked my review and if you did, do consider subscribing to my blog. Show some love by liking, sharing and commenting your views/thoughts. Until next time, stay beautiful & keep smiling!

Hello there, me again! In my last post discussing the AG&NJR 'River' Class 4-6-4Ts, I mentioned the quaint little tank engines that were the 'Highland' Class 4-4-2Ts. I decided that this might be an opportune moment to discuss them, because who doesn't love a dinky little atlantic tank.
Shall we begin?
Edward Carbour - The CME of the AG&NJR - was tasked with designing a small, light tank engine to handle light passenger and branchline services. The only branchline on the AG&NJR map was from Aberdeen to Westhill, mind you. Several different proposals were put forward, including an 0-6-0 tender locomotive, 0-6-0 tank, 0-6-2 tank, and a 4-4-2 tank. The 4-4-2T proved most successful in the Board Meeting, and thus an order of 10 'Highland' Class 4-4-2Ts was placed at Beyer Peacock & Co.
The 'Highland' Class were the smallest engines to work on the AG&NJR network, often seen scuttling around various yards shunting, and on small local passenger workings. 7 of the 'Highland' Class had been designated to run the stretch between Edinburgh to Aberdeen ( a distance of about 127 miles ) which proved to be too much for the small engines to handle. The reason that none of the larger designs could traverse the network was because the line was poorly maintained, and wouldn't be fixed properly until the introduction of the 'River' Class two years later.
A few problems began to arise with the 'Highland' Class, most notably they were too small for mainline running, and that they were also a pain in the backside to maintain. The frames of the locomotives weren't assembled correctly, and were prone to cracking. This was rectified in a rebuilding scheme of all AG&NJR locomotives in 1928, but they still proved to be a burden to small locomotive workshops that had been set up at Glasgow.
Withdrawals of the class came around when the 'Rivers' were introduced, the first one being withdrawn from shunting duties at Glasgow in 1929. Another four were withdrawn in 1923, followed by another two in 1934. The remaining three would see service into BR days, just. The final three were withdrawn in 1952. Attempts at preserving one of the members ( No. 439 ) failed after the group failed to raise enough money to purchase it from BR.
Currently we still have a few more AG&NJR locomotives to look at. Here's a small list of all AG&NJR locomotives in order of built date.
AG&NJR 'Highlander' Class 4-4-2T ( 1920 ) [COMPLETED]
AG&NJR 'Peak' Class 4-6-2 Tender ( 1921 )
AG&NJR 'Folklore' Class 4-6-4 Tender ( 1922 )
AG&NJR 'River' Class 4-6-4T ( 1922 ) [COMPLETED]
AG&NJR 'Mountain' Class 4-8-2 Tender ( 1928 )
AG&NJR Mystery Engine [ :) ]
Tell me which one you'd like to see next, and I'll make up some lore for it!
See ya next time!
