Marvel not Caring
I feel like the few times Billy needs to get something over with, he just doesn’t care. Like honestly, I’m going to connect this to my Marvel Compilations post. (In that post I just talked about how Marvel could be a clip farm and the potential vids he would have) Let’s say these are all from the 8 minutes and 47 seconds of the Big Red Cheese tweaking out vid. Cause why not?
One day, Marvel’s doing patrol. See, he wants to get it done with, hopefully with no major villain attacks happening, because Darla has a school play, and he wants to see her, even if she got cast as a tree. But of course, things didn’t go his way, especially just when he needs to start heading out for the play.
*vid opens up to Marvel floating in the sky looking down at a Female Villain*
Female Villain: *attacking people and causing general havoc*
Marvel: *looks around for any cameras and doesn’t see the one recording the vid*
Female Villain: *sees him and his about to do something*
Marvel: *winds hand back (as if he needed to) and backhands her like an abusive husband*
Any Nearby Civilians: *cover their mouths as they look away. A good chunk of them sped walked away*
Female Villain: *knocked the fuck out*
I’m telling you right now, a good chunk of the comments on that video were something along the lines of ““that’s not right,” I whisper to myself as I speed walk away” or ““You don’t hit a woman,” I think to myself as I step into the safety of my car and drive away.” All stuff like that.
The day after that…
Marvel: “I just ended the problem as soon as I could, guys! I don’t beat women!” Superman: “We know! We know, but did you have to it so… so ferociously?”
Marvel: “Ferociously?”
Flash: “Dude, you looked like you’ve been waiting to do that.”
Marvel: “I haven’t! It was just effective, and I was on a time crunch.”
Flash: “Time crunch?”
Marvel: “Yeah, I had to see this person I know go be in a play.”
Batman: “Hn. You could’ve just said you wanted to see your child’s play. I’ll admit I’ve done something similar when Robin was in a play of his own.”
Superman: “Yeah. If the play thing is true, that’s a valid reason for any father to do that.”
Marvel: *a little confused as to why they assumed Darla was his kid* “Uh, yeah. I didn’t want to miss it.”
Flash: “Who was it for by the way? Junior or Mary?”
Marvel: “Neither.”
*silence*
Marvel: “You guys don’t know her. She isn’t a hero.”
Flash: “Dude… you have another kid? Why do you never tell us these things about yourself??”
Then, there’s another clip of Junior and Marvel. Beast Boy recorded the audio for shiggles and hid behind a wall but was surprisingly met with:
Marvel: “Okay, you know what, Junior? I don’t care that you’re disabled. Put your hands up.”
Junior: “Dude, I am not fighting you. You’re stronger than me.”
Marvel: “So? You’re only a little bit weaker. If you paid Mary like five dollars, I’m sure she’d fight with you. Now anyways put your hands up.”
Junior: “She’s not even here! And, hey- hey- Stop that!”
A lot of crashes and bangs could be heard for about 30 seconds. The video then ended.
Then, there’s another clip of him and Mary sibling arguing, but of course, most people think that Cap’s her and Juniors dad. So, when they say certain things, people tend to view it more extremely.
Marvel and Mary: *arguing*
Marvel: *says something completely outlandish that you should absolutely not say to a child*
Mary: *barely blinks and says something right back*
Marvel: “Oh so help me Gods, if we weren’t related, I would scrape your face across the pavement.”
Mary: “Oh yeah? Well if we weren’t related, I would skin you with a butter knife!”
The two proceeded to continue arguing before they somehow make up mid insult and go get ice cream like nothing happened.
Bonus:
Black Adam and Marvel: *floating up in the sky*
Black Adam: “You know, you’ve never said anything remotely similar to that to me.”
Marvel: “What’re you talking about?”
Black Adam: “I would scrape your face across the pavement.”
Marvel: *nearly has a heart attack when he says that*
Black Adam: “You said that to the girl. You’ve shown more disdain for that girl than you have for I.”
Marvel: “Uhhhh…” *panicking cause he doesn’t know about the video*
Black Adam: “Do you… not take me seriously?”
Marvel: “No, no, no, of course I do!”
In this AU, Marvel doesn’t really throw much shade at his villains aside from the occasional comment and that’s it.

🌜I know you better than anyone🌛
pairing: five hargreeves x female reader
summary: it’s been a long time since you last saw Five. due to your nieces’s birthday party, you’re forced to face him again. you can’t help but be surprised when instead of being met with hate, you realize the only thing he wants to do is help you.
genre: angst with a happy ending!
warnings: manipulation? cursing perhaps. nothing major
word count: 4k
notes: this is a little bit based on the gilmore girls scene in which jess confronts rory for dropping out of yale. i saw someone use that audio for a tiktok pov and wrote this. here’s the link to that.
It had been twenty minutes already. Two cars had tried to take your spot during that time and you’d had to awkwardly let them know that you were not leaving. You tried to do a couple of breathing exercises you vaguely remembered Klaus teaching you at some point, but this was something that could not be solved by just taking a few deep breaths in and out. After a couple more minutes had gone by, you decided it was time to put on your big girl pants and get the evening over with.
You got out of your car and opened up the trunk to pull out the gift. Needing both hands to carry it, you struggled a little bit to get it inside. The sound of screaming children filled up your ears, and you could not think of a worse place to be at right now. You spotted a few familiar faces and decided to make your way over there. After having taken a few steps, you tripped over a plastic ball from the ball pit you’d failed to notice and began stumbling as you tried to regain your balance. Mentally having prepared for the fall, you were surprised when it never came. Instead, a firm pair of hands managed to catch you, one of them holding you by the back of your head and the other pressing against the lower part of your back.
“You okay there?” He asked.
You’d known he would be here, but you certainly did not expect him to be the first person you encountered at your niece’s birthday party.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks.” The uncomfortable silence was soon to settle in, and you had to fight back the urge to run back to your car.
Luckily, your attention was caught by the birthday girl herself sprinting towards you after noticing you had arrived.
“Auntie!” Grace yelled, her arms open waiting for you to hug her. You got down on your knees after setting the gift next to a nearby table and embraced the little girl tightly.
“Happy Birthday, Gracie,” you spoke next to the girl’s ear, kissing the top of her head before standing back up to retrieve the big box.
“Is that for me?” she inquired excitedly as her eyes rested upon the gift.
“Of course it’s for you! I think you’re gonna like it a lot.” You winked at her.
“Do you want some help taking it over to the gifts table?” The man who’d saved you from falling asked.
Before you had the chance to answer, Grace seemed to realize something and interrupted you.
“Look Uncle Five, she’s here!” You were a little confused by the statement, given that Five had been standing there the whole time, so it was obvious he knew you were there. However, you figured your niece was just excited about your presence and wanted everybody to know about it.
“Yes Grace, I see her.” Five replied. Based on his tone and demeanor you would’ve guessed he was embarrassed by the situation. But that didn’t make any sense to you.
The little girl turned to you and signaled for you to get on your knees again. Following suit, she cupped her hands and held them to her mouth before getting closer to your ear.
“Uncle Five was asking about you a lot before you got here,” she whispered. Your eyes instantly went to meet Five’s, and by the look on his face you could tell he had some idea of what Grace was telling you.
“I uhm, I’m gonna go get a soda,” he said before walking away. You felt utterly confused by his attitude, not understanding why he was acting the way he was. Why had he been asking about you? Based on the last time you two saw each other, his current actions were nonsensical.
Puzzled but not really being able to do much about the situation, you hugged the little girl once more and went over to the gifts table to leave the heavy box you had been carrying. From behind you, you recognized the voice of the reason why you were even here in the first place.
“That better not be another one of those loud ass toys that lights up and blasts up annoying music.”
You turned around and smiled at the man before you.
“No, this one just barks and shits.”
You enjoyed watching as the color got drained from his face by your response.
“You didn’t,” he said, more of a threat than anything else. You laughed, giving yourself away.
“No, I didn’t. Lila said no dogs. She doesn’t wanna be juggling three kids and a puppy.”
Diego let out a sigh of relief, “Good, I did not want to have that fight today.” He gave you a smile and a quick hug to welcome you.
“It’s been a while,” he said.
“It hasn’t been that long, we saw each other for the twins' recital.” You knew he didn’t mean it as a personal attack, but you couldn’t help but feel bad by what he’d said. You tried to be there as much as possible for your family, but things were different now.
“Yeah, that was two months ago!” He laughed, but you knew he didn’t find the situation funny, he was just trying not to come off too harshly.
“I’m sorry.” You shrugged.
He noticed the hint of sadness in your eyes and his own expression softened.
“It’s fine, I wish we saw each other more often but we all understand.” You chuckled a little at his lie. Certainly they didn’t all understand.
“You have no idea how much I wish that were true.” You were both quiet for a minute, mutual understanding flowing between the two.
“His hair’s gotten longer,” you spoke, breaking the silence.
“Yeah, he’s become more of an asshole also.” You both laughed. Diego moved closer to you and gave you a half hug.
“It’s going to be fine. Give it time and you’ll see.” You closed your eyes and let yourself give into his embrace. You doubted time would be able to solve anything, but it didn’t hurt to hope.
…
You didn’t speak to Five again for the rest of the evening. You’d caught him looking at you from a distance a couple of times, but you hadn’t been able to look at him back. After cake, you made the round of goodbyes and left the building before he got the idea of speaking to you. Back in the safety of your car, the tears came rolling down your face before you could do anything to stop them. The memories of your last encounter with Five came flooding back, and all of those times you had repressed them only worked to make them stronger now.
You had just gotten out of the shower, which you had cut short after the hot water had run out. You got dressed quickly and cursed at yourself for choosing such a cheap place to stay at. It would not surprise you to find all kinds of stains if you were to use a UV light in this room. Repulsed by the thought, you grabbed your toothbrush with the intention of cleaning your teeth when you heard a loud persistent knock on the door. You were reluctant to open up at first, but when the knocking didn’t stop, you figured it was the only way to get them to stop knocking.
Grabbing one of your knives, you made your way to the door and through the peephole noticed who the person on the other end was. You unlocked the entrance and allowed him to come inside.
He looked agitated, his brows furrowed in a prominent frown. His hair was all over the place, drastically different to how it usually looked.
“So, you weren’t going to tell me that you were leaving?” Of course you hadn’t told him, you knew this was exactly what he would’ve done if you’d told him.
“I knew you would try to stop me,” you spoke softly, not wanting him to get any more agitated than he already was.
“What kind of idiotic response is that? Of course I would’ve tried to stop you.” His words stung.
“I can’t do this right now, Five. I’ve already made up my mind and I’m at peace with my choice.” You tried to sound as convincing as possible.
“It’s a stupid decision you’re making and I’m not gonna stand here and let you make it.”
“It’s already done, there’s nothing I can do about it,” you felt your voice getting weaker, but you didn’t want to break in front of him.
“Of course there is, I’ll help you get out of it. I’ve done it before.” He didn’t understand any of it, and he could certainly not fix it either.
“Five…” you began.
“Look, I know you, I know you better than anyone. This isn’t you.” Of course he was right, but you couldn’t admit that to him. Instead, you chose to remain quiet.
“What are you doing? Living at this cheap motel, working for The Commission, leaving us behind- why did you leave me behind?” He looked away, not being able to hold your gaze at the moment. You knew that what had hurt him the most is that you hadn’t told him you were leaving. You hadn’t come to him to let him know you were going back to the place you both had tried so hard to escape from in the first place.
“It’s.. complicated,” you said.
“It’s not! It’s not complicated,” he yelled.
“You don’t know!” You wished you could explain it all to him, but he couldn’t know the truth.
“This isn’t you! This- you going back to working for The Handler. We did the impossible to get away from her.”
“She’s not the same woman she once was…” You tried to defend her, not even believing it yourself.
He ran his hand through his hair with anger, frustrated by your answers.
“This isn’t about her, screw her! What’s going on with you? This isn’t you, you know it isn’t. What’s going on?” He walked closer to you, watching you intensely.
“I don’t know,” you admitted.
“Come home. To hell with all of this! Just- just come home.” He took your hands in his, silently pleading with you.
Knowing there was only one way out of this, you decided you had to do this in order to keep him and the rest safe.
“Home? What exactly is home? This is your family you keep talking about, not mine. The Handler is the one who took me in and gave me a place to live when no one else would. Grow up Five! You think this is how I wanna spend the rest of my days? In this fucked up timeline where we don’t even have our powers? No way I’m staying here, so I would appreciate it if you stopped claiming to know better than me and left me alone for once.” You broke your hands free from his hold and walked to the entrance to hold the door open for him. He hesitated for a few moments before following you to the door.
“So what? You and I- none of it matters anymore? You’re just choosing to throw it all away?”
“This has nothing to do with us, nothing to do with you. I can’t always put you above everything else.” Knowing that was exactly what you were doing was the worst part of this.
“I always have,” he said, sounding defeated.
“Well I guess that’s the difference between you and I.” You put the last nail on the coffin.
With that, Five left the room and stood in the hall.
“When you regret this, and you will regret this, don’t come crawling back to me or my family,” he said before walking away. Based on his words, you knew you’d managed to hurt him a great deal. He was not going to come back now, which both relieved you and made you want to crawl into your bed and cry for hours on end.
That was the last time you had seen Five before today.
A couple of years after The Handler had taken Lila in, she found you under similar circumstances and chose to raise you as well. The two of you grew up as sisters, carrying out all sorts of missions for the woman you learnt to call mother. Soon, your power began showing and you realized you had been blessed with time control, which came in handy as it meant you didn’t need to use a briefcase for your line of work. One day, you’d chosen to visit the world post-apocalypse, something you knew your mother would never approve of. As you walked through the ruins of what used to be planet Earth, you noticed there was someone else here with you. At first, you thought it must be someone from The Commission, as any other answer was simply not possible. However, upon closer inspection, you realized he wasn’t someone who you’d seen before. That was the first time you’d met Five, and after almost being shot by him, you managed to strike a conversation with him. Soon, you two became close, and after a couple of times of visiting him, you decided to bring him back to the headquarters, risking your mother’s rage.
She wasn’t thrilled about it at first, and threatened you in multiple ways after finding out what you had done. But after watching Five successfully accomplish his first mission, she allowed him to stay. When you’d met him, he’d confessed to having spent six years already surviving on his own, and you could only imagine how much longer he would’ve spent there if you hadn’t found him.
He also told you about his family and how he wished he could get back to them, which is how he slowly began convincing you to help him out. It wasn’t easy, as you hadn’t been on board with the idea in the beginning, but after working together and earning each other’s trust, you had agreed to help him.
You sneaked out one day and left alongside Five to get him back to his family. That was the first time they failed to stop the apocalypse. The second time, Lila was involved, and after getting over her initial anger at you for leaving her behind, she joined you and the others.
You thought you had managed to leave the life you had once led behind. That you were safe now with Five and your newly found family. However, you were proven wrong when one day, The Handler appeared inside your own home, sitting on your couch.
“Long time no see.” Her voice made your blood go ice cold.
“What are you doing here?” You asked.
“Is that the proper way to greet your mother?”
“What do you want?” You insisted.
“You didn’t think I would seriously allow you to walk out with two of my best agents, now did you? I would’ve thought I raised you to be smarter than that.” You knew at that moment that whatever this was, it wasn’t going to end well for you.
“I didn’t take anyone with me, they chose to leave on their own.” You clenched your fists, ready for whatever was about to go down.
“Well, in that case then I think I’ll just go then. Thanks for clearing that up.” She stood up and prepared to leave, but you knew it was not going to be this easy. Right on cue, she turned towards you and spoke again.
“Before I leave though, I thought you should know I have agents right now placed all over to take shots at that precious little family of yours.” Your jaw clenched.
“I don’t believe you.”
She smiled at you, “That is up to you, sweetheart, but do you really want to risk baby Grace taking a shot to the head because her aunt didn’t do anything to protect her?” You wanted to strangle her, but you knew that wasn’t going to fix anything.
“What do you want?” You asked for a second time.
She faked thinking about it for a second, as if she didn’t already know exactly what she wanted from you.
“I want you to come back to work for me. I want you to do it today without telling anyone, especially that little special friend of yours.”
“Who? Five?” You didn’t like that she was paying special attention to him during this conversation.
“Bingo! You speak a word of this to him and he gets a bullet in the brain. And now that he doesn’t seem to have his powers anymore, don’t think he’s gonna be able to get out of this unharmed.” You felt shivers run down your whole body at the thought.
“What do you even gain from this? I can’t even travel through time anymore, I’m useless to you without my powers.” You didn’t understand why she’d want you back specifically. Both Lila and Five were far more skilled than you.
“You need to learn there are consequences to your own actions. This is your consequence.” You could hear the satisfaction in her voice.
“There’s a briefcase waiting for you at this address. Don’t be late, your first assignment is tomorrow morning.” She handed you a piece of paper you shoved into your pocket, knowing there was no way out of this. Maybe, if you all had your powers, you could figure out a solution, but in the state you were all in, the only way to keep everybody safe was to do what The Handler wanted you to do. You could already feel your heart breaking, hating her even more for doing this to you.
…
You jumped when you heard a knock on the window of your car, being too lost in thought to notice someone had been approaching you. You quickly wiped your tears with the back of your hand and tried to look presentable before rolling down the window.
“You left without having any cake.” Five was standing outside your car, two paper plates with servings of chocolate cake on them.
“I needed to get back to work,” you lied, hoping he would leave you alone.
“Well, I’ve been watching you sit in your car ever since you left so I’m not buying that.” Of course he’d been watching you cry pathetically all this time.
“Open up?” he requested. Knowing that he wasn’t going to leave until he got what he wanted, you unlocked the doors and allowed him to get into the passenger seat. He handed you one of the plates and you rested it on your lap, knowing you weren’t going to be able to eat it without making yourself sick given the situation you were in.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” he blurted out. You opened up your mouth to deny it but he beat you to it.
“Don’t try to deny it. For the past year everytime you find out I’m gonna be somewhere you suddenly have to cancel. Happened with Claire’s science fair, happened with Luther’s barbeque and it happened with Grace’s play,” he listed. Of course he was right, but you weren’t going to admit that to him.
“I’ve just been very busy,” you said.
“Why didn’t you want to see me?” His question took you by surprise. You thought that after your last conversation he was the one that wouldn't want to see you again.
“I think it’s best if we keep our distance from one another.”
He looked taken aback, hurt, even. Great, you were causing even more damage now.
“Best? Best for who? You or me?”
“You said not to come back looking for you.” You didn’t want to throw in his face the words he’d spoken in a moment of anger, but you needed an excuse to get out of this.
“You and I both know I didn’t mean any of that. I was angry that you were choosing to leave, but I didn’t want things to end up like this. I’m sorry.” He stared at his plate, toying with the fork. You could only imagine he couldn’t stomach taking a bite as well.
“Things are complicated, Five. This is how they need to be.”
“Then explain them to me. I’m not an idiot, I know you’re doing this under some sort of manipulation from The Handler, I just can’t figure out what she has on you that made you go back.” He stopped staring at his cake to shift his gaze towards your face. He looked broken, almost as broken as you.
“I can’t- I can’t tell you anything.” You knew that by saying that you were admitting to not doing things freely, but you hoped it would be enough to get him to understand your motives.
“Whatever it is, I can help. You need to trust me.”
“How will you help me? What would you do if she sent people here to kill you? How are you going to defend yourself?” You were growing more agitated.
“Is that what this is about? She’s threatened to hurt me?” You stayed quiet, giving him the confirmation that he needed.
“I can take care of myself, or are you forgetting that I managed to survive years on my own in a post-apocalyptic world? None of that had anything to do with my powers. I understand that you’re scared, but that’s what we’re here for.”
He always oversimplified things. Made it seem as if you were the one exaggerating, as if he could just make everything better.
“Maybe you can take care of yourself, but what about the kids? What about Klaus? Have you seen him lately?”
He chuckled at your words, lightening up the mood.
“Okay, maybe you’re right, but you should’ve come to me first with all of this. I’ve been taking care of my family for years, and will continue to do so considering how stupid they constantly prove to be.”
It was your turn to chuckle now.
“I promise you we’ll figure something out together. Key word being together.” He took one of your hands in his.
“I’m not gonna let you continue to deal with this on your own.” He looked determined to keep his promise, which is why you allowed yourself to feel a glimmer of hope.
“If something were to happen to any of them, then it would be on me,” you said, staring at your lap in shame.
He used his free hand to cup your cheek and force you to look at him.
“Nothing’s going to happen. We’ve survived worse. And if something were to happen, it wouldn’t be your fault. None of this is your fault,” he reassured you.
“Please trust me, love,” he said, the nickname slipping out, taking you back to better times, easier times.
“I really want to,” you admitted, tears welling up in your eyes.
“Then do.” He moved closer to you, letting go of your hand to grab your face with both of his hands. He put his forehead to yours and allowed you to stay like that for a second.
“I don’t think I can tolerate losing you a second time,” he whispered against your lips.
“You won’t,” you whispered back.
Soon, his lips were against yours, falling back into routine as if nothing had happened between you two. One of his hands moved to your waist, tightening his grip on you. The kiss turned more intense as he began moving with more force, showing you how much he’d missed you. Your hand got lost in his hair, enjoying the new length. He pulled away and smiled against your lips.
“I missed you so much,” he said. You shared the feeling, regretting how you’d chosen to handle things. There was a lot at stake, a lot you needed to figure out, but what mattered is that you would do that together. No matter what happened from now on, you had each other to fall back onto.

Consider (because it's funny):
Ghosts can fuck with technology due to ectoplasmic interference, right? So any video and audio recordings of them come out sketchy and unreliable.
Halfas do the opposite.
Anytime they're caught on camera, the video looks like all the settings have been dialed up past max. The electronics take in so much information at once, and that's reflected in their results. Every video looks like a poorly edited, shit post from early Vine with bright flashing colors and high contrast. All the audio recordings pick up every single fucking sound in the nearby area, so people can't possibly even begin to sort out that creepy ghost voice they heard amidst the cat yowling, car engines, and children screaming from two streets over.
This is literally the only reason nobody believes Wes when he tries to prove Danny is Phantom.
Every piece of evidence he gathers looks like he shoved together random pictures, videos, and sounds from the internet that probably gave his computer the worst viruses known to man. And it's not like he's a tech forensic scientist! He can't sort through this shit to get to what he knows is groundbreaking proof. He's literally loosing his mind.
(And to make it worse, people are telling him he should take a computer course to learn some basic tech skills due to how god-awful these pictures and videos are.)
#danny phantom#pondhead blurbs#wes weston#danny fenton#wes is losing his mind cause people think he's shit at editing stuff#and making stuff up for attention#he's gone through three cameras this year and has to take meds for migraines from taking pictures of danny#but fuck it he WILL figure out how to get solid proof

THE BAT IN THE SHADOWS 🦇🕸️
— CHAPTER TWO
Summary: Bruce Wayne is the happiest he’s ever been in a while. He has a beautiful wife, amazing children, and is stopping crime left and right as Batman. All that shatters when you, his wife, mysteriously disappears.
Pairings: Bruce Wayne x Wife!Reader, Batfamily x Batman!Reader, Avengers x Reader (Platonic)
Series Masterlist | Main Masterlist
Having to wait until morning to pull the security cam footage from nearby stores was hell. In the meantime, Bruce filled out a missing persons report (and nearly broke down whilst doing it). The worst part of it all was having to come home, alone, and face his family.
His kids and Alfred were exactly where he left them, all in the living room.
“Where’s Mom?” Dick was the first to ask, arms crossed. Neither he nor his brothers could hide the worry flickering across his face. Not even Alfred, who was usually so composed.
“I believe,” Bruce began, wanting to be strong for them. The image of your smiling face flashed in his mind and he slammed his hand against the nearby wall to steady himself. Get it together, he told himself. The weight of your shattered phone in his pocket felt like tons of bricks. “She’s been taken.”
He hated that that was all he could say on it. That was all he knew. He hated that he had to say it at all.
Five rounds of “What?!” echoed around the room. Bruce forced himself to look at Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian. At their pain. Their shock.
“I only found her phone, broken. But we will bring her home,” Bruce said, knowing that there was no keeping his children out of this investigation. “I will take the lead. I’m going to go downstairs and start working. Anyone is free to join me, but I’d also suggest trying to sleep. If you can.”
He started towards the stairs. Then, half-way there, he stopped and turned around, opening up his arms. It took a second, but the boys came to him, and Bruce tucked them in his arms with a strong, tight hug. Alfred watched for a moment, then walked around and put his hand on Bruce’s shoulder.
“We will find her,” Bruce vowed.
And, he thought, if you were harmed in anyway, if a single hair was out of place, he’d destroy whoever had enough nerve to do this.
//
Standing by Commissioner Gordon’s side, Bruce peered over the employee sitting at his desk, who was starting up the footage on his computer. They found the closest store to the spot where your phone was found and as soon as the sign switched from closed to open, they walked in.
“Here you go,” the employee murmured, pressing play.
The footage was grainy and dark but with narrowed eyes, Bruce was determined to take in all that he could. As soon as you walked into frame, Bruce couldn’t help but tense up, nervous about what they were going to see.
Your pace started slowing as you took out your phone. Then, a jolt of electricity — where it was coming from was off-screen — hit your in the back. Bruce fixed his jaw, trying not to lash out or yell or even cry as he saw you fall. The thought of you, limp on the hard, dirty sidewalk . . .
Then, two figures came into frame, lean builds and wearing all black. Bruce watched how one stomped on your phone screen and he took a breath. They were saying something to each other, but the footage didn’t have audio. It was impossible to make out. He curled his fingers into a fist when they each took one of your arms, starting to drag you away. They didn’t seem to care at all that your head was bouncing off the ground and Bruce wanted to smash the screen.
He’d make them fucking pay, that was for sure.
Gordon did the talking, thanking the employee and whatnot. Bruce was in a daze, the footage playing over and over again in his head. He hadn’t even realized that Gordon wrapped up the conversation until he was pulled outside. They went a few stores down, trying to find more security camera footage of where they took you.
When they did, Gordon and Bruce watched as the kidnappers haphazardly tossed you into the car. As if you were nothing. As if you weren’t the most precious thing in Bruce’s life. He made fists again. They drove away and the one good thing was that the footage captured the license plate.
Gordon drove them to the police station and Bruce practically forced him to speed. A goddamn license plate, that was their only clue. Bruce’s only hope. He was pacing back and forth while the police actually ran the plate, never staying still for even a millisecond.
Finally, Gordon emerged. “They must’ve stolen the car. We’ll start sending patrol units out, contact other local departments . . . We will find this car. We’ll find them,” he said confidently.
//
While patrol units drove all around the city and beyond, Bruce did the same in his Batmobile. He spent every minute of every hour on the road, only returning for food and a couple hours of sleep after numerous calls from Alfred. It was the second time when he came home that he saw how much this was affecting his children. A wave of guilt hit, he knew that he hadn’t been paying as much attention to them as he should’ve.
You would’ve told Bruce to leave it to your fellow detectives, who were hellbent on getting you home. You would’ve told Bruce that he didn’t have to be Batman. He had to be home. God, you were so good, it sometimes hurt.
Bruce sat with his four boys on the couch, his arms wrapped around them. He updated them on the case, told them everything he knew. Of course, they asked to join him on patrol, but Bruce told them there was no need. He was going to take a few days off to spend with them.
It was after those few days that Bruce received a call from Gordon. They were in the middle of a somber dinner when his phone rang and the vigilante sprang up from his seat, nearly knocking his chair over. Everyone paused their eating.
“Gordon?” Bruce asked. The last few times, Gordon had nothing big to tell him, but Bruce answered his phone the same way every time.
“We got the car. It’s abandoned, but they drove out of the city. Parked near the woods.”
Dick, Tim, Jason, and Damian all wanted to go search with their father, but Alfred assured Bruce that he’d have them finish their dinners. Bruce gave each one of them a kiss on the head and promised to be home at a reasonable hour (which Alfred would hold him to, bless the man) before he rushed off.
It took a little while to get to the coordinates that Gordon sent, but when he did, he found detectives and cops and even civilian-organized search parties. It warmed Bruce’s heart, how much the city adored you. They knew you as Mrs Wayne, the kind and brave detective.
He joined the search as Batman, looking high and low. He got deep into the woods when finally, he found something. A group of costumed people all looking around, some confused, some awed. Bruce could tell they didn’t belong.
“Identify yourself,” he growled, coming out of the shadows and approaching them.
They all turned to him suddenly. No one moved or said anything for a second, until a redheaded woman came forward. She looked to be around your age, maybe a couple years older.
“This is probably going to come as a shock, but please, hear me out,” the woman began.
“I don’t ‘hear’ people out. Identify yourself, now,” Bruce demanded, in no mood for games.
The woman sighed softly. “Fine. You can call me te Black Widow. Back home, I — we — are known as the Avengers. We’re looking for someone named Y/N,” she told him.

Hello!!! Your inbox looked loney :). Spare HC's for Optimus, Megatron, Smokescreen and Arcee for a bot!reader who's bigger than them? 😀😀
Reader whose taller than OP, Megs, Smokes and Arcee // TFP || Could be seen as either romantic or platonic
WARNINGS/TAGS - None, enjoy :)
A/N - I go feral when someone makes the reader bigger/stronger than the character they’re shipped with. Guys, give me big af and buff readers; cmon!!!
MEGATRON
He will try to fight you, like 100%. It doesn’t matter if you’re even more loyal to the Decepticon cause than Soundwave. He will try to fight you and won’t stop until he wins. What’s worst is if you let him win, he’ll demand a rematch.
He thinks your size is excellent for virtually everything except that people will sometimes mistake you for the leader of the Decepticons (if you’re nearby) instead of him. This is primarily the rare, isolated species that the Decepticons stumble across when they travel the galaxy that know nothing of the war.
If you want to mess with him, put his stuff in high places. Depending on your relationship, he might use you for spare parts, beat the shit out of you, or just begrudgingly ask you to get the object off of the high shelf.
If you’re strong enough and can pick him up, he’ll be the angriest mech in the galaxy (he already is, but even more so). He’ll flail around, swear at you, and everyone will be shitting bricks and looking away from your ass whopping. Scruffing him like a kitten will guarantee this, but again, depending on how close you are, he might become a grumbling idiot.
He might ask you to mass displace to feel better about himself sometimes because he’s an asshole
Laughs when your forehead or frame gets stuck/hits doorframes before doing the same thing probably 5 minutes later because he’s also tall
OPTIMUS PRIME
The shared pain of being tall af is the first thing he thinks of before being wholly weirded out
The only person taller than him on Earth is Megatron, but Megatron also turns into a jet, so he isn’t sure if that counts.
He most likely gives you a map of the base, marking off doorways and other entrances that are either too big or too small. He’s a big bot and has this map on hand at all times in his own data banks. Its most likely pulled up in the many, many tabs on his HUD.
Don’t scruff him either. He doesn’t have much plating on the back of his neck, and his back is extremely sensitive due to it mostly being kibble, wiring, and being hit in his back way too many times for comfort. Picking him up regardless will most likely just prompt him to ask you to put him down before he threatens cleaning duty for the next month if you don’t.
He won’t put you on cleaning duty don’t worry
If you tease him about it he’ll tell Ratchet and then Ratchet will put you on cleaning duty. Beware the doctor.
ARCEE
everyone is taller than her, so she doesn’t really care. Is having to crane her neck to look up at you annoying? Yes.
Imagine that meme of the police officer having to stand on his car to flip the taller person off; that’s her to you on some days.
Don’t pick her up either; she’ll stab you; she absolutely hates that. She’s like an angry chihuahua when that happens.
She’s less likely to fight you if you are helping her. Sometimes, she likes to use you as a perch to climb onto things or just to be high up. Sometimes, she also likes to sit on your shoulders to pretend she’s tall.
She’ll probably use you for shelter during rain, snow, etc.
She claims she does it with everyone and you’re not special (you are)
SMOKESCREEN
He’ll also perch on you like Arcee, but it's for silly reasons rather than a tactical advantage.
If you have audio fins or something along those lines, he’ll grab those and pretend to use them like joysticks. Indulging him will encourage this behavior; do not fall for it.
He likes to feel tall and will ask a lot of questions about what it's like to be tall, which is ironic given that he technically is of average height.
Failing to answer these questions will result in more.
Honestly, he’ll also hide underneath your frame while it's raining. He hates the rain because it gets mud all over his paint and undercarriage. It's annoying to clean out, and you’re the perfect umbrella, in his opinion.
He can and will laugh at you for banging your head on doorways before he walks into the wall right next to you or trips over something.

ragatha/agatha and pomni/penny human hcs!
(r)agatha:
is an english teacher!
yes she still loves horses. she used to ride them, & she loves old western movies.
owns cowboy hat and boots.
analytical and loves long & winding conversations.
has a very happy cat named sandwich.
patches her own clothes, doesn't have kids but if she did she would embroider their names into their belongings.
she still plays cello, she loves music in general, probably sings like an angel.
can't do any mathematics.
can drive, but like a lunatic. somehow has never had an accident though, so it's fine.
probably has a cute little baby blue/yellow car now, but definitely had a beat up offroader truck at some point that got put to good use. or maybe she still does, i'm not the boss.
total lesbian, a bit of a heartbreaker but not intentionally (women just keep falling for her)
goes to town/neighbourhood/community meetings. likely is/was in a knitting circle
absurd number of quilts in her home
pomni/penny:
is an accountant as we know, and cannot cook for shit as we know.
no pets she can barely take herself for walks. is more similar to a cat, but had a dog growing up. would love a collie or a dalmatian probably.
would name the dog something stupid like Thermometer Johnson.
she can drive, but nervously.
really quick thinker, like impressively, unless she's under HUGE amounts of stress. is literally always thinking at 100mph.
no sense of interior decor or personal style. all practical, kind of butch. really does kill a suit.
very much lesbian but not fully to terms with it. probably had short-lived relationships with men in which she was 'content' but didn't really care for it. seeing agatha as agatha for the first time was probably a crazy punch to her little gay heart. not to mention the cowboy gear.
autistic
watches 90s anime to wind down
listens to every single genre of music. passes a lot of time with headphones in, slowly making her way thru the entire world's discography
owns no band merch or anything though she just listens
can't sleep without a fan on, thunderstorm 12hr audio, blackout curtains, weighted blanket, water nearby
does not sleep a lot
both of them (going to call them pomni and ragatha for convenience):
didn't immediately recognise one another. i havent got an exact idea of how they reunited after getting out, but there were tears.
bonded in a very rare and unique way - they got to revel in the newfound joys of real life again. they got to eat delicious food, go on long, unobstructed walks in the real sun, be warmed by it, chew on ice cubes and shiver at the pain, listen to each other's heartbeats, listen to real music, read real books, smell soaps and flowers and sauces. they went to the supermarket together and read all the labels, and bought one of each type of fruit to try between them, and smelled all the candles, and touched all the blankets. spent a lot of time holding hands and kissing and i'm sorry to say, probably having sex, because holy shit, i'm real, you're real, we're real
now live together in ragatha's apartment, after pomni moved out of her small and confusingly-furnished flat.
both of them feel inadequate from time to time. this is resolved by a stern-but-loving talking-to.
sandwich likes pomni very much. pomni doesn't really get cats, but loves sandwich a great deal, and enjoys letting her sleep on her lap.
ragatha is very pleased to see her girls getting along.
ragatha cooks, pomni chops the veg. she often doesn't fuck it up
pomni cleans a lot as a 'thank you for letting me live here, i love you'. she's very much acts of service, ragatha is words & physical touch <3
they watch a lot of movies together. depending on how long they've been stuck, they might have culture to catch up on
ragatha wants to have a house with a garden one day. pomni starts germinating seeds from their fruit & veg like a weird science experiment. ragatha is delighted when she is presented with a baby tomato plant.
clothes are shared. ragatha's are bigger, but most of pomni's are ill-fitting anyway so it can go both ways. ragatha likes to dress pomni up in different outfits and have her do a little fashion show. pomni pretends not to savour the confidence boost.
pomni starts sleeping more

In honour of Katniss’ birthday yesterday, I invite everyone to also remember the real-life men, women, and children in Palestine enduring unimaginable suffering in the midst of an actual war. To be aware of the censorship being deployed against protesters of this violence by corporations at the hand of unjust governments.
As you may or may not know, on the 6th of May, Macklemore released a song called "HIND’S HALL" in support of Palestine, where 100% of proceeds from streaming will go to supporting UNRWA.
Hind Rajab was a 6-year-old girl from Gaza. In January 2024, she and her family were shelled by the Israeli army while in their car. Hind and her 15-year-old cousin, Layan Hamadeh, were the only survivors, trapped within the car. They called the Palestinian Red Cross Society, with Layan saying, "They are shooting at us. The tank is right next to me. We're in the car, and the tank is right next to us." The PCRS sent a team to rescue them. However, after 12 days, on February 10th, when the Israeli army withdrew from the area, Hind Rajab and her six relatives were found dead in the car, along with the two paramedics sent to rescue them, who were also found dead nearby.
The song is not available on Spotify yet. It is not available on Apple Music yet. It’s available only on Youtube, where—for the first time in the 15+ years i’ve been using Youtube—they have placed an 18+ age restriction on the video that includes multi-step age verification, where viewers must prove their age with a government ID, credit card, or submit a photo of themselves to an AI age recognition program (that oftentimes won’t even load).
This is absolutely abhorrent of Youtube/Google to censor this video, especially in the light of the recent attacks on Rafah, where thousands of Palestians have been cornered in what was previously considered the final "safe" zone.
Macklemore has since reuploaded a second video including audio only which has not been age restricted (yet), but the lack of imagery greatly alters the impact of his message. Many people may not feel comfortable verifying their identity to a corporation we know to be corrupt. Others may not be "old enough" to see it, though as the next generation of voters, as the primary group fighting for peace, you all deserve to see the truth of what’s happening in the world. I have screenrecorded the video and attached it to this post, but if there’s any of you who have already verified your age or feel comfortable doing so, please visit and interact with the original video here to contribute to aid efforts. If you are under 18 or do not wish to verify your age, the audio only video can be found here. Remember that your streams hold power, and even those who have nothing to give themselves can make an impact.
Additionally, most of the people who interact with my blog are Hunger Games fans. You were all outraged when the men, women, children, medics were bombed in the books, when it was fictional characters. So why would you stay silent when it’s happening in real life?

The grand race
Alright, first Mirage fic !! *Cracks knuckles* Lets do this. Word count:1K
Mirage lived for adventure even back on cybertron. He would always get up to antics which would have pissed off the prime leader back then. Now on earth, it was his personal playground, He would always toy around with the police in chases, Doing the best stunts he could do. But he always wanted to do more.
One day as he was cruising around the city, He parked nearby just to watch the city go by. He then saw two friends walk up to each other and have a quick chat before one said. "You still down for the race tonight ??"
"Yep, I also heard that they jackpoted the prize to a $1000" The other said enthusiastically.
"Woah..." That was all he needed when he started to zoom back to the makeshift HQ, You were busy helping Optimus and Bumblebee setting everything up when you heard the familiar revving.
"Hey y/n !!" He transformed and kneeled to your height, eager to tell you the news. "Guess what I heard today ?? Your gonna love it"
'What's up ??' You stopped what you were doing and gave him your full attention.
"I heard these guys in the city talking about a race that's happening tonight"
"Oh yeah, They do those almost every year now"
"Really ?? We should go !!"
But before you could give your answer, a familiar prime's voice boomed. "Absolutely not Mirage, We need to remain undercover and away from prying eyes, Drawing attention to yourself will only cause more damage then good" He said, bee whirred in laughter and soon the radio flicked to an audio of the Nelson Muntz... "HA HA !!"
"You must promise me to stay away from that race" Optimus said firmly.
"Yeah yeah sure, I'll stay very well away so far away... Dude don't leave me with these tightasses bro, We'd make a great team" Mirage whispered to you pleadingly.
"Mirage you heard what Optimus said, I'm not doing a race just so you can get kick out of it" You frowned to him.
"But what about for friendship ??" He said, making you raise an eyebrow in dissapointment.
"Ah or or or what about for cash ??"
You looked up at him. "How much are we talking ??"
"$1000, I can get that to you easy"
Now what you could do with $1000, ooooooh you could buy that new games console that just went on a market. You looked at Optimus who was helping Bee before back at Mirage.
"Ok, I'm in" You nodded.
So later in the night, the two of you went out. Heading to the start of the course where all the racer's would line up. You got out as you heard rap music playing on full blast, People catching up and taking selfies. You saw a dude with a clipboard standing nearby, Taking down the names of another person who arrived before you.
"Guess that's our ticket in" You closed the door and went up to him. "Hey, I wanna enter the race"
"Awesome, What car are we racing with ??"
"The Porsche behind me" You nodded to Mirage.
He nodded and took down your name as well. "Alright, your in kid"
"Thanks" You headed back to Mirage and got inside. "Ok remember, we need to make this look natural so nobody notices something's off ok ??" You reminded him of the rules.
"Don't worry, your boy's got this" Even in car form, you could tell Mirage had a huge smirk on his face.
You lined up, Eyeing the competition. some had modified cars ranging from old to new. They took this seriously.
"This'll be easy" Mirage chimed in, revving his engine as he got into place. "Relax"
You nodded as you gripped the steering wheel, Watching someone walk to the middle with the chequered flag, signalling the race was about to start. The contestants around you started to rev up their cars as the flag was raised, and then with the swish downwards, Tires skidded on the road and soon everyone was off.
"Come on Mirage !!" You cheered as you made pretend movements on the drivers seat.
"'scuse me 'scuse me'" He chuckled softly as he passed some contestants with breeze.
But some were proving to be a little bit of a challenge, like we said, some were modified specifically for this race. Mirage grumbled as he attempted to pass some of them. "Move over !!"
The driver in one car could only chuckle and pressed the nitro, picking up speed.
"Damn it !!" You pushed the pedal to the medal, and Mirage began to speed up, pushing a little more and sped past the guy, blowing dust in his face.
"WOOHOO !!!"
The first lap was done, Just gotta keep up the momentum. "Let's kick some aft !!" Mirage cheered.
You cleaned up the second lap, But on the third, one of the contestants began to kick it up a notch. Mirage was cruising along when he felt that he wasn't ahead anymore. "Huh ??"
You watched as one of the contestants sped past you, This car looked like it went through hell and back on the performance.
"Shit !! Come on we got this !!" You reminded.
Mirage was determined, as determined as ever to win this. He tried to speed up as best as he could, Tires burning every drift. The other driver wasn't giving up as well, Both of you pushing the pedal to the medal as the finish line was nearing. The crowd cheered as the two of you crossed, Mirage made a total stop. "Did we win ??"
"I'm not sure ??" You got out of the car, asking the racer. "Yo what's going on ??"
"Beats me" He shrugged.
Because it was such a close call, Some people had to review the footage on their phones just to see who touched the finish line first, You waited for almost 5 minutes before one nodded and shouted. "It was the Porsche !!" Making everyone cheer.
"YEAH !!" You were so goddamn happy, Mirage was so goddamn happy, Oh screw it you were both so goddamn happy.
Others watched as you showed off from mirage and as promised, you were awarded the $1000. You drove off soon after.
"Holy shit that was incredible !! Did you see the guys face !!??"
"Oh, he was so mad !!" Mirage was so happy. "We gotta do that again sometime.
"Maybe... Just maybe" You smirked. You made your debut, a race or two never hurt anyone.

Bleeding Heart Part Three
Part One | Previous Part
-
Cellbit leaves his apartment an hour after midnight, hoping to make a bad impression. He's going to be late. He's going to be rude. He's going to be annoying. He's going to be the worst person that Hombre Misterioso has ever met, and he is going to make them hate him and never want to associate with him again.
The aquarium is clear across the city from Cellbit's apartment, and the busses don't run this late at night (especially not in the Favela.)
So, naturally, Cellbit skateboards, and he ignores the car following him the whole way there.
He has had just under a week to plan out exactly how this meeting is going to go. And he's sure that it's going to be the worst meeting ever. Of all time.
After a solid hour and a half of skating, he finds himself in front of the aquarium's main entrance holding his skateboard and trying not to pass out because, wow, he's out of shape. Fuck.
(The car pulls into the parking lot and idles under a broken streetlight. Inside, the driver reaches into the passenger seat and opens a backpack.)
Doubled over and struggling for breath, legs sore and shaking like jelly, Cellbit looks up at the two ceramic dolphin statues flanking the aquarium's doors. The lights at their bases paints them a bright pink, and Cellbit kind of fucking hates them, actually. (Bad memories.)
He's two and a half hours late, so he takes his time picking up his skateboard and tucking it under his arm. He takes even longer to pull out his phone and text his accomplice the first code phrase of the night:
'I'm awake.'
A few seconds later, the aquarium's doors audibly click themselves unlocked, and the security cameras hidden in the dolphins' eyes go a bit fuzzy. Their video feed will already have been looping footage from eleven p.m., but now they're also looping audio. (Or something, Cellbit never was the security guy of the team.)
With a sigh, Cellbit brushes a chunk of hair out of his eyes and behind his ear, and he enters the aquarium.
Tonight, nothing is going to happen. He's decided this. Whatever deal Hombre Misterioso wants to make with him won't happen. Nothing will happen.
Cellbit walks past the first coral reef of the building. The tank's lights are off, so he can't see the fish inside. But the emergency exit sign by the nearby bathrooms light the whole room a vibrant (beautiful) red.
Nothing will happen.
Hombre Misterioso hadn't told Cellbit where exactly in the aquarium to meet them, so he's stuck going through each and every room in order looking for them. Which. Sucks.
Even his accomplice in the car hadn't been able to find Hombre Misterioso on any of the cameras on the way to the aquarium; he'd apologized even as Cellbit asked him why he was hacking and driving at the same time, Really? That's the kind of example you're setting here? Being reckless? What'll Richarlyson think?
So Cellbit goes through the first coral reef. He passes the penguins. He walks past the freshwater fish.
...He pauses in front of the tank full of piranhas. Pygocentrus nattereri, the red-bellied piranha.
He looks at the sleeping fish. The tank is dark enough that he can see himself in its reflection, and he does not like what he sees.
His phone buzzes in his pocket:
'Isn't he cute??? 🥰😭'
And then there's a picture of Richarlyson asleep in the car's back seat snuggled up against a huge Pikachu Squishmallow and wearing one of Pac's hoodies and using it as a blanket.
Despite himself, Cellbit smiles.
His smile freezes as a gust of cold wind brushes against the back of his neck.
He spins around, phone buzzing with picture after picture after picture being uploaded to the family group chat. And he finds himself inches away from Hombre Misterioso's face.
"You're late," they plainly say.
They're so close to Cellbit that he can actually feel the faint exhales through the gas mask's filter. But, despite the proximity, he can't see their eyes. It's too dark, and the glass is too thick.
Silently, Cellbit turns his phone off with a press of the button. He slides it into his back pocket.
Hombre Misterioso's head tilts curiously to the left. "You aren't wearing a mask."
Cellbit shrugs, crossing his arms. "Figured there wasn't a point. What do you want."
It isn't a question. Cellbit already knows what they want. He's just being polite.
Hombre Misterioso doesn't move.
Cellbit blinks, and then they're crouched in front of the piranha tank poking a gloved finger against the glass repeatedly.
"-name was originally supposed to be 'Piranha'," they say, apparently in the middle of a sentence that Cellbit didn't get to hear the first part of, "but you said that that's actually some sort of slang in Brazil."
Cellbit's mind races, what? When did he...
Oh.
Cellbit snorts humorlessly. "Never let journalists name you. The Demon learned the hard way, he wanted to be called 'the Muffin Man'."
"That's terrible," Hombre Misterioso comments. They stand and turn to face Cellbit again. "I learned from you. I gave the police my name, just like you did."
"Yeah, because you're stupid," Cellbit snaps. "Why would you even contact the police?"
"Because they're stupid. They really thought that I was you."
Cellbit can practically hear their offended eye roll; he doesn't know whether he should be offended or not. No, right?
Whatever.
"Still stupid," he huffs. He can feel his phone blowing up with texts in his pocket. What is Pac doing?
Hombre Misterioso's head tilts again. This time, their entire body tilts with them as if they're trying to get a look at Cellbit's back.
"You were late," they say, "and you're communicating with someone."
They finally notice his skateboard, and they visibly double-take.
"Did you skateboard here?" they ask, looking back up at him.
Cellbit ignores them. This is a bad meeting, and nothing will happen.
"Whatever you're doing with the Federation, you should just give up," he tells them. His mouth tastes sour just from the insinuation that he's on the Federation's side, but it's fine. It's part of the plan.
Judging by the way Hombre Misterioso's shoulders tense, the plan is working.
Cellbit bites back a smirk and continues, pacing away from them and heading further into the aquarium: "It isn't worth it. They're too strong."
He turns the corner towards the manta rays, and Hombre Misterioso is by the touch tank. Waiting.
"What are you talking about?" they quietly ask, and, wow, even their voice modulator sounds offended. Perfect.
Cellbit just shrugs. "I retired for a reason, man. It's pointless to even try."
Hombre Misterioso's fists curl at their sides. "Right."
"I'm telling the truth! After Sharkboy fought me that day, I realized that there was no point in continuing to fight the Federation."
He walks calmly past Hombre Misterioso and the rays. (He makes a mental note to bring Bagi here one day soon; they can make up for lost time.)
"Enigma-"
"Enigma is dead!" Cellbit snaps. (Rude, irritable, annoying-)
He's walking into the next room as his phone actually rings.
Oh, no.
Hombre Misterioso can fuck themselves, if Cellbit's accomplice is calling, then something has gone terribly wrong.
In a flash, he has his phone out, and he has it to his ear.
"What?" he demands in Portuguese (can't take any risks...)
"I'm so sorry," Pac breathes, "I tried to stop him, but-"
Cellbit freezes. "Stop who? What happened?"
"Thank goodness the cameras are still hacked, Bagi would kill us if she got this footage..."
Ignoring Hombre Misterioso's still form in the other room, Cellbit leans against the big open doorway and puts his face in one hand with a groan.
"Calm down," he says. "Just tell me what happened. Do I-"
He's cut off mid-sentence as he hears a very familiar voice shout from the piranha room, "Stop, villain!"
And then he's dropping his phone to the floor and booking it across the room. Fuck Hombre Misterioso, fuck Hombre Misterioso, fuck the plan, fuck, fuck-!
Hombre Misterioso is still by the tank.
And then they aren't. They're running towards the door to the piranha room with their sword drawn.
And a bunch of piranhas with legs are running out of the piranha room and right towards Hombre Misterioso.
Cellbit grins proudly despite the whole Thing going on. That's his kid!
His face pales. That's his kid.
"What the fuck is this?" Hombre Misterioso demands, swinging their sword at the piranhas.
Cellbit answers by pulling out his skateboard from under his arm and swinging it right at their big stupid head. It CRACK!s against their skull and splits right down the middle, sending them staggering forward right into a piranha's jaws.
Suddenly, the aquarium's lights all turn on. That'll be Pac, then. But... why? What the fuck are the lights going to do?
Abandoning his skateboard, Cellbit runs past a very angry Hombre Misterioso and into the piranha room.
Richarlyson, standing by the tank holding his iPad, grins and waves with one hand.
"You," Cellbit hisses, running forward and scooping his son into his arms, "are so grounded."
Over Cellbit's shoulder, Richarlyson continues drawing more piranhas on his tablet. More fizzle into existence around the two of them and charge towards Hombre Misterioso.
Entirely unconcerned, Richarlyson shrugs and says, "They put you in the hospital. Fuck them."
"You were supposed to stay in the car!"
"You really thought I was gonna do that?"
Cellbit groans, "He said he was going to have you under control!"
"Get a babysitter next time. I want Uncle Bad."
"Do you know how late it is?"
"Uh, yeah. Uncle Bad lets me stay up this late all the time."
"Then Uncle Bad is grounded, too," Cellbit declares.
He manages to take one step with Richarlyson in his arms before he's being choked from behind by two very strong hands.
"Leaving so soon?" Hombre Misterioso taunts. "We haven't even gotten acquainted yet!"
Richarlyson gasps and squirms, trying to get free, but there's no way Cellbit is letting him loose in a room with a supervillain. What kind of parent would he be if he did that?
But. But he can't breathe.
(But he can smell blood.)
"Now," Hombre Misterioso muses, leaning in close, so close that Cellbit can feel their voice rumble down the length of his spine, "who do we have here?"
Frantically, Cellbit's eyes flick towards the room's security camera. Pac, hello? Fucking hello?
Richarlyson responds by smashing his iPad into Hombre Misterioso's face.
They shout in alarm and recoil, hands momentarily lifting from off of Cellbit's neck.
But that moment is all Cellbit needs.
He spins and takes off in the opposite direction from the entrance. It'll loop around eventually, he knows it.
As he brushes past Hombre Misterioso, he subtly extends a hand towards their body, and then he closes said hand into a fist. He runs, and he gets farther away, and he pulls, and-
And Hombre Misterioso is in front of him with their sword pointed directly at his chest- at Richarlyson's back.
At Richarlyson's back.
Cellbit skids to a stop. He takes a step backwards.
Hombre Misterioso follows him, step for step, inch for inch, head slowly cocking to the side with every passing second.
"I see," they lowly say.
They laugh, slowly. Deliberately. "Hah. Hah. Hah."
Teeth grit, Cellbit adjusts his hold on his son- one-handed.
(He can smell blood.)
He whispers, "Be ready to run back to the car. And take the board with you."
Richarlyson grumbles, but he knows better than to argue when it comes to the skateboard; it's sacred.
To Hombre Misterioso, Cellbit says, "Fun fact, piranhas are actually pretty chill animals. They're omnivores."
"Cool," Hombre Misterioso responds. "But what about you?"
By his side, Cellbit's hand angles itself towards Hombre Misterioso's body. They're bleeding somewhere...
"Oh," Cellbit mildly answers. "I like meat."
For whatever reason, Hombre Misterioso pauses at that. And it's a real pause, not one of their... weird pauses.
That's fine! Perfect, even.
In one swift, motion, Cellbit turns on his heel and ducks towards the ground. With one arm, he puts Richarlyson on the floor. With the other he closes his hand into a fist, and he jerks his arm back as if he's shooting a bow and arrow.
Immediately, blood comes shooting out of a wound on the back of Hombre Misterioso's thigh, hidden by their cloak but absolutely caused by Richarlyson's drawings.
They cry out in pain and crumple to the ground, dragged down by their own blood as it ties itself around the leg of a nearby bench into a knot, signaled by a flick of Cellbit's wrist.
"Go!" Cellbit shouts, not looking behind himself.
He hears Richarlyson run for it, little feet tapping against the floor.
And then, it's just him and Hombre Misterioso once again.
Sniffing back a nosebleed, Cellbit stands. He wobbles on his feet slightly, but he manages to walk past Hombre Misterioso and towards his abandoned phone. He picks it up and sighs at the cracked screen.
Great.
Hombre Misterioso struggles to stand, but the blood rope keeps them on the floor.
"I told you before," Cellbit tells them, sliding his phone back into his pocket. "I'm not interested in helping you."
He looks at them and shakes his head.
"I can connect you with the Order," he continues, "but that's as far as I'm willing to go. I'm done. With... with all this."
Hombre Misterioso's grip on their sword tightens.
And then they laugh, tossing their sword to the side and collapsing onto their belly on the floor.
Cellbit takes a hesitant step backwards, body tensing as they just laugh and laugh and laugh.
"Good!" they cackle. "Good! You've still got conviction! I'm impressed, Enigma!"
"There is no Enigma. There hasn't been in years, and there never will be again."
"Mhmm, I get that. But you've convinced me. I don't need Enigma anymore."
(As they look up at him, Cellbit swears that they're smiling.)
"I just need you."
With that, the aquarium's lights shut off again, probably Pac trying to help.
Cellbit's eyes adjust to the darkness. When he can see again, Hombre Misterioso is gone, and a trail of blood is left where they laid on the floor.
...Fuck.

❁ ❝ 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 ❞
━ third years and gn! driver! reader (reader can either be yuu or an oc/twstsona) ━ going on a road trip all around sage's island with the third years until it unexpectedly rains, leaving you with no choice but to park somewhere and have a conversation with the third years. (f/n means first name)
do not steal or translate without my permission.
"oi, are you sure you can drive?"
leona's inquisitive question along with a raised brow made you scoff as you spoke proudly, "relax, leona. i can handle it~ be a passenger princess for now, will ya'?"
"he can hardly be a proper prince, what makes you think he'd do well as a passenger princess?" remarked vil as he looked at leona with a nasty gaze. "i'm surprised n/n has a car in the first place," added cater as he laughed a bit before connecting his phone to the bluetooth audio system of the car, "an 11-seater suv out of all cars..."
"quite a large vehicle," mumbled malleus as he looked around the interior of the car, sitting by the window with lilia beside him. the older fae chuckled at malleus' curiosity before looking at your eyes through the rear view mirror, "where are we heading, little one?"
you let out a hum as you inserted the key in the ignition, looking at lilia through the rearview mirror as you spoke, "just around the island."
"so, wasting petrol?" mumbled idia as he sat in the furthest back seat. he initially did not want to come, but lo and behold, ortho did his little negotiating and now, here he was, seated beside trey in the last row of the back seat.
"...no, not wasting petrol. we'll just tour around the island, y'know? stop by at some restaurants, look at the scenery, pass by the beach near rsa..."
the moment you mentioned rsa, a series of groans were heard in the car as you sighed to yourself. "relax, we won't park anywhere near rsa, if that's what you guys are worried about," you spoke as the engine started and you were now prepared to start driving, "and anyway, this ain't my car. i rented it somewhere nearby."
"...that sounds suspicious," spoke vil as he sat properly on the middle seat, looking at you through the rearview mirror before looking ahead as you started driving. "don't worry, professor crewel was there to rent it out for me... as long as i won't break the car, i'll be fine," you reassured as you started driving, leaving the gates of night raven college and slowly ascending down the mountain where the school was located.
"be careful. you're in the presence of royalty," snickered leona as he looked ahead on the road while you continued driving. you rolled your eyes at his remark as you spoke, "don't worry, i'm not a reckless driver. i will make sure malleus won't get hurt."
malleus smiled at your words, while leona sneered. "i meant me. i'm the one in the front seat. who cares what happens to vil and that bastard back there, i'm the one with higher risk," spoke leona. you weren't sure if he was messing with you, but you still smiled as you found it refreshing to know that he was comfortable enough with you to say such things. on the other hand, malleus and vil glared at the savanaclaw dorm leader for his remarks.
"oh, magnifique! isn't this a wonderful time to bond? a road trip around the beautiful sage's island with them as our personal driver!" cheered rook as he seemed to be very happy. "let's just hope we're alive by the time our road trip ends," added vil as he gave you a teasing smile through the rearview mirror, knowing that you can clearly see him there.
you scoffed at his words as you spoke, "now you guys are just being mean~"
by the time you drove around the street, passing by a few bakeries and shops, you looked at your rearview mirror and noticed how idia was only looking out the window in silence, which made you reduce the volume of the song playing through the bluetooth car stereo.
"hey, ids."
his eyes immediately met yours through the rearview mirror as you spoke, "wanna buy some snacks? i can stop by at a convenience store or a bakery."
"a-any's fine..." mumbled idia, looking away as he hid his face in the backseat, making trey glance at idia before looking at you through the rearview mirror. "i won't mind visiting the bakery, f/n," said trey as he smiled at you politely.
"no problemo, mister good-looking."
the heartslabyul vice leader chuckled softly at your words as cater spoke, "i wanna go to the bakery, too!" you nodded as you drove to the bakery that the first-years loved, parking nearby as you pulled up the handbrake after setting the stick shift into park mode if you were driving an automatic vehicle, or turning off the engine with a foot on the brake pedal if you were driving a manual car.
you and the rest of the third years then got out of the car and once everyone was out, you locked the vehicle before walking inside the bake shop. however, you paused by the door as you looked up and noticed that the previously sunny sky was now covered with grey clouds.
"n/n, come on! why are you still standing there?" questioned lilia as he grabbed your hand and pulled you inside the bake shop where the rest had already fallen in line, looking up at the menu as some of them started discussing what they should get.
"is there anything you want?" asked malleus as he looked down at you. you let out a thoughtful hum as you eyed the menu, opting to go for a beverage and pastry of your choice. as you voiced out your order, malleus nodded as lilia took note of your orders with the diasomnia dorm head insisting to pay for your purchase.
by the time everyone had their chosen treats, some of you sat by a nearby table as you nibbled on your pastry. malleus was seated across from you, sipping on his black coffee, while lilia was beside him as he took a bite out of his plain butter croissant.
"i can see why ace and deuce wanted to invite us along with riddle to this bakery. this place is sooooo magicammable!" cheered cater as he started taking pictures of the place, their pastries, their beverages, and even your table which had your order along with the rest's laid out on top. he and trey were standing behind you as they sipped and bit on their orders.
"hey now, drink your tea," spoke trey as he took a bite of his muffin, humming softly as he eyed it as if inspecting the treat.
beside you sat vil and on your other side was idia, you glanced at the ignihyde dorm leader and noticed his head was down as he bit on his truffles, not bothering to initiate eye contact or converse with anyone. however, he did notice your gaze on him, making him take a quick glance at you.
you smiled at him as you asked softly, "did you enjoy that?" idia hummed as he replied in a voice that only you could hear, "yeah. their truffles are hella delicious, n/n. i should probably take a picture of this place so i could show it to ortho..."
"you should," you encouraged as you took out your phone, "we can take a picture of the bakery from my phone." idia nodded and you started taking shots of the bakery, including idia's truffles on the table. then, you opted for taking a sneaky selfie of you two, you posed with your usual smile and a peace sign, while idia covered his face with one hand but still let himself be seen in your shot.
"hey, unfair~ how come you two are the only ones taking a selfie? join us, too!" exclaimed cater as he leaned his head down until his chin was inches above your shoulder, posing with a peace sign as you brought up your phone and took a picture with him.
idia returned to consuming his truffles as you pointed your front camera to you and vil, making the pomefiore dorm head raise a brow at your actions before smiling at the camera. once you took a picture with vil, he spoke, "if you're planning to post that, it'll cost you."
"don't worry~ it's for my eyes only," you spoke as you switched your front-facing camera to back-facing, pointing it ahead of you which took malleus and lilia in the frame as they were seated across from you. they noticed the camera and smiled, making you click on the shutter button as you took a picture.
sometime later, you all returned back to the vehicle and this time, rook is the passenger princess, so leona had to sit beside vil. rook then took out his camera as he took pictures of the view, but by the time you were about to leave your parking spot, the sound of thunder roaring was heard followed by the pitter-patter of the heavy rain.
"ah, it's raining," mumbled trey as he looked out the window.
"is it safe to drive back?" asked vil.
"doesn't seem safe... our school is on the top of the mountain and the road up the mountain must be slippery with how heavy the rain is..." you replied as you looked around the area, mumbling to yourself, "there must be somewhere around here where we can park safely under a shade... or an open garage..."
"there might be one nearby the crane port," spoke leona. "if not the port, we can find a parking shade nearby a hotel or residential area," added vil as he looked out the window on his left as it was a free seat, leona was on his right and behind leona was cater, behind vil was lilia, and behind the free seat was malleus. behind malleus was idia, behind cater was trey, rook was the passenger princess seated in front of leona and you were the driver seated in front of the free seat beside vil.
you started driving slowly out of the bakery's parking spot and drove around the area to look for a parking shade. it seems the gods were smiling down at you as you found a parking shade nearby a famous hotel in the central town of sage's island.
"holy shit, i found one."
a sudden flick on your shoulder made you yelp as you quickly turned to look behind you before driving towards the parking shade. it was vil who flicked your shoulder as he spoke, "watch your language." you grumbled under your breath as you parked under the parking shade, turning off the engine of the car and sighing softly as you slumped on your seat.
"sorry you guys had to be stuck under the rain in an suv..." you mumbled, looking up at the ceiling of the vehicle as rook turned to look at you, "non, non. there is no need to apologise. it's a rare experience!"
"yeah! plus this gives us more time to chat with each other before separating ways back on the campus," added cater as he and rook gave you positive smiles. "ah... extroverts..." mumbled idia to himself as he sighed softly.
"we have some leftover treats from the bakery, no? we can all sip on our drink or nibble on our treats while waiting for the weather to clear out," suggested trey.
"sure, but don't make a mess, everyone..." you said as you sat properly on your seat before turning around to face everyone else, smiling at them as you spoke, "so... did you all unwind? i know you guys have a lot to do, especially since you're all third-years."
"it was a wonderful experience," said malleus as he smiled at you. "yes! driving around with friends is really an amazing experience. i had fun. thank you, little one," added lilia as he sipped on his drink.
"how are you feeling?" asked vil as he sipped on his green tea, "you've been driving us around for almost two hours." your eyes drifted to vil as you gave him a grateful nod, "i'm alright, vil. driving is somehow therapeutic to me sometimes, so i'm all good! thank you for the concern, queen."
and so, you and the third years continued chatting for a while as the rain poured down sage's island, drenching all the streets and everything else under the sky with a pitter-patter sound. despite the gloomy weather, you were having a lighthearted conversation with the rest of the third years as smiles and laughter were seen on your faces.
'hanging out with the third years is always a pleasant experience, even vil and leona's bickering can be quite endearing every now and then...' you thought to yourself before your gaze went to malleus, 'ah, as for leona and malleus' bickering, that's still something to get used to...'

Hey!!! You commented on my post about limetown haha which is why I’m here. You offered to give podcast recs! What are your favorites?? I’m looking for some new ones
I completely forgot I had this ask, excuse the delay. Here's a selection of 30 podcasts I enjoyed from a broad range of genres: hopefully at least one appeals.
Let me know if you're after something more specific.
Arden: (Investigative, Comedy) On the 25th of December, 2007, heiress and young actress Julie Capsom crashed her car into a tree and fled into a nearby forest clearing, leaving a trail that seemingly vanished into thin air, and a dismembered torso in the trunk. A decade later, Bea, the first reporter on the scene, and Brenda, a detective on the case, are hosting a true crime podcast about it, and neither is remotely impressed with what the other has to say. Arden is also a retelling of various Shakespeare plays.
Desperado: (Supernatural, Adventure, Horror Elements) In a modern world of gods and magic, three young people, all under the patronage of death dieties, embark on the same adventure for different reasons: for safety, for revenge, and to kill The Old Man in the Sky. Fantastic banter and killer action sequences.
The Far Meridian: (Magical Realism) An agoraphobic young woman wakes one day to discover her lighthouse home has travelled to somewhere entirely unfamilar. As this continues to happen day after day, she uses the opportunity to search for her missing brother. A really unique and charming piece of fiction.
Gastronaut: (Sci-Fi) Interstellar travel audio blog of a former food critic as he travels to an active warzone to get firsthand experience with unfamilar cuisine. ft. Disgruntled martian nobility, sinister businessmen, explosive mushrooms, forbidden snacks, rogue revolutionary artists, and the consequences of your actions.
Girl in Space: (Sci-Fi) The Girl In Space lives alone on a space station, doing science, making cheese, rewatching Jurassic Park, and tending to the plants, animals, and artificial sun entrusted to her. It's a little lonely, but not a bad life. Would be a shame if someone came along to ruin it.
The Goblet Wire: (Microfiction, Weird Fiction) A surreal microfiction with horror elements, taking the form of phone calls to an audio-based game in which the voice of the mysterious Dictator leads each player through fantastic and horrific world and story.
Hello From The Hallowoods: (Horror, Supernatural) A dramatic entity beyond your comprehension visits your nightmares to tell stories of the people (in varying degrees of human and alive) that inhabit the strange, deadly, and beautiful Hallowoods, as they find meaning and sometimes eachother.
Hi Nay: (Supernatural Horror) A year after moving to Toronto, sound designer Mari finds herself drawn into helping people around the city with various horrific supernatural encounters due to her babaylan (shaman) family background. It quickly becomes apparent that there's something much more sinister and complicated happening in the background.
Inco: (Microfiction, Sci-Fi) A perpetually exausted interstellar information trader and her peppy AI find a mysterious (read: bratty) boy floating in space and are inadventently pulled into a world political intrigue.
Inn Between: (Fantasy) Ever curious about what the D&D characters get up to at the tavern between sessions? A generally lighter-hearted (with some exceptions) with richly-written and always-growing characters. A really interesting format, too: a lot of the adventure appears in the "next time" and "last time" segments which makes it all flow really nicely. Not a tabletop podcast.
Janus Descending: (Sci-Fi, Horror, Tragedy) A xenoarcheologist and a xenopaleontologist are sent to a study a dead city on a distant world. Nobody likes what they find there. A unique format, with one set of logs presented first to last, and the other last to first. I'd recommend listening to the supercut for this one.
The Kingmaker Histories: (Steampunk, Weird Fiction, Adventure, Fantasy Elements) In the Valorian Socialist Republic 1911, on her 25th birthday, tailor's apprentice Colette experienced the worst headache of her life. As a result, she fleed from town with a human artificer and a fae chef - both now smugglers - pursued by an utterly furious flesh-crafter. I'm not sure I'm selling how good this podcast is but it's very good.
Life With Althaar: (Sci-Fi, Comedy) A human repairman moves to a space station on the edge of human territory that is perpetually on the edge of self-destruction, and ends up with a less-than-ideal last-minute roomate. Althaar is polite, friendly, deeply interested in human culture, and eager to be friends. Unfortunately he belongs to a species that sends humans into a visceral panic at a glance.
Lost Terminal: (Sci-Fi, Hopepunk) Seth is a very lonely AI living on a satellite. His crew were left stranded aboard with no hope of return, and it's been longer than he can count since then. The Earth below him has changed dramatically, and with only a few other AI down there to talk to, he's very lonely. But! He has a plan to make some new friends.
Love and Luck: (Romance, Slice-of-Life and Urban Fantasy Elements) Voice messages cataloguing two young men falling in love and opening a queer dry bar together.
Midnight Radio: (Light Supernatural, Romance) Sybil McIntyre, host of the ever-popular 1950's nightly radio hour, begins exchanging letters with an old fan who has reluctantly returned to visit Sybil's beloved town.
Midst: (Weird Fiction, Western, Sci-Fi and Fantasy Elements) The old-western planetoid islet of Midst floats, rotating steadily, in a sea of reality-warping darkness. Down in the town of Stationary Hill, things are in movement, and vistors from the light above are about to bring unanticipated change. ft a monocycle-riding monster-hunter, radio-famous airship paladins, deadly mica, the universe's peppiest cultist, good dogs, and a really strange businessman.
The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity, and Mortality: (Weird Fiction, Supernatural, Urban Fantasy and Horror Elements) A friendly AI tour guide leads you on a tour of the Mistholme Museum, explaining the strange and often alternatural story behind each item.
Monstrous Agonies: (Supernatural, Relationship Advice) An interpersonal advice show for supernatural entities and other people living liminally in the modern world.
Night Shift: (Urban Fantasy, Investigative) Set in a modern world with the addition of magic, which manifests in small inherited skills/traits, can warp people in horrific ways, or can be manipulated with the right science (and intense work) to induce superpowers. Sebastian Fenn is a barista at Night Shift Coffee, but since things are slow he's decided to start a podcast to talk about various mysteries, crimes and conspiracies around the city, and of course finds himself deeper in them than he'd intended.
The Pasithea Powder: (Sci-Fi, Thriller Elements? I think?) The last major interplanetary war was full of atrocities, but none more infamous then the creation of Pasithea Powder, a memory altering drug which was used to horrible effect and landed it's entire team of creators in prison. So when decorated war hero Captain Sophie Green sees one of them wandering free, worlds away from his prison, she gets in touch with a very old, estranged friend: one Dr. Jane Gonzalez, who's behind bars for the very same reason.
SCP: Find Us Alive: (Weird Fiction, Supernatural, Horror and Slice-of-Life elements) You don't need to know anything about SCP to enjoy this. A research team gets trapped in an underground research facility when the complex collapses and the building is dragged into a pocket dimension. The tear it was designed to study begins creating tiny copies of itself, generating strange entities the team needs to deal with. And as if that wasn't enough, the entire situation physically resets itself every 30 days. And yet, this is genuinely also an office comedy.
Second Star to the Left: (Sci-Fi) Audio logs of a scout sent to explore and establish early infastructure new world, and the communications with the minder in charge of keeping her alive.
Seen and Not Heard: (Slice-of-Life, Drama) Seen and Not Heard follows Bet, who's still adjusting to life a year after a bout of severe illness, and the resulting hearing loss it caused. It's about the ways we make connection, and food, and art, and different kinds of grief.
The Silt Verses: (Horror) In a modern world where gods are abundant, frequently both commercialised and restricted, two devotees of an outlawed river god go on a pilgrimage.
SINKHOLE: (Sci-Fi, Weird Fiction) Forum posts from a data restoration community in a near future where the human brain is its own computer and one city hosts a massive void.
Starfall: (Fantasy) Seeking to escape her mysterious past and find some purpose, a young swordswoman joins a travelling actor's troupe. This new life is unfamilar and sometimes stressful, but she's taken under the wing of stagehand Fel, who's determined to help her feel welcome as she experiences the figurative and literal magic of the theatre for the first time.
The Tower: (Weird Fiction) A low-key, meditative podcasy about a young woman who decides to climb a seemingly endless tower. Gorgeous sound design.
The Vesta Clinic: (Sci-Fi) New GP Dr. Fae Underwood, with the expert transcription skills of resident AI Sec, writes up patient reports on human and alien patients of The Vesta Clinic, a medical clinic on the edge of human space. Really comfy and creative.
Victoriocity: (Steampunk, Mystery) Set in the steam-powered Victorian city of Even Greater London, an aspiring journalist and a tired detective find themselves working together to solve a strange murder. I say Victorian but as queen Victoria is now an extensive grandiocity of cyborg components following seven only-kind-of-successful assassinations, you may need to adjust expectations a little.

Disconnected
Summary: When a seemingly simple mission takes a turn for the worse, you’re left to your own devices to figure out how to survive. Natasha Romanoff x Reader WC: 2,106 Warnings: Stabbing, plane hijacking, weapons, combat, not proofread
DISCONNECTED
The tall black entrance gate opened slowly, revealing the large airfield behind it’s hidden veil. You drive the company car onto the concrete, following the road to a nearby parking lot. The nerves in your stomach have mostly subsided as you prepare to carry out today’s mission.
The Avengers had tasked you with a specific assignment, pairing you up with a few SHIELD agents that would fly you to your target. It was a simple enough task—fly in, steal intel, fly back—the clear plan easing any ounce of nerves you once had.
With the car in park, you grab your bag and head out onto the vast plain of concrete. The constant whirring of planes fills the air, noisy engines and warm jet air keeping you awake. A smiling brown-haired agent with a SHIELD emblem approaches with an outstretched hand.
“Hey, I’m Agent Charles, I’ll be a part of the crew flying you out today.” He introduces as you shake his hand. Eventually, he guides you to the sleek jet you’re assigned to. One other agent is already on board, tapping away at various control panels up front.
You smile and greet them with a nod as you put your bag down, making yourself comfortable in one of the plush leather seats. While waiting for takeoff, you take the time to prepare for the journey ahead. The first thing you do is take out the special earpiece from your bag, the communication device Tony has for each Avenger.
“Welcome back, how’s the plane?” The sound of Natasha’s voice fills the comms device as you fit in into your ear. She made sure to assign you one of Tony’s most extravagant jets to ensure your comfort.
“More than perfect, I never doubted you for a second,” You quip, grinning to yourself as you lean back in the chair. The comms line remains silent as the jet begins to ascend, the SHIELD agents up front manning the plane.
You continue to study the screens on the interior of the jet, keeping your mission plan at bay while the flight commences. The steady feeling of the engine working mixed with the dimmed overhead lights makes you slightly tired, soon coaxing you to close your eyes.
You’re not sure how long you’ve been sleeping for, but the sound of someone speaking makes you blink your eyes open. None of the agents are talking, only preoccupied with flying the plane. You press on your earpiece, now realizing one of the Avengers was probably giving an update.
“Sorry, I fell asleep. What was that?” You ask. The only response is a light static, leaving you slightly confused.
“Get out-“ The words cut in and out of the grainy audio, no real message getting through to you. You furrow your brows at the noise, a little unsure why the connection was bad. Maybe there was a rough patch of service through here, or you were just really high up in the air. Either way, usually Tony’s inventions were foolproof.
Shaking the concern from your head, you turn your attention to the agents manning the plane. “Hey, my earpiece stopped working,” You tell them in hopes they know how to fix it. One of the agents nods.
“We’re going over a dead zone, it should be working again soon.” He smiles before turning back to the control panel. You nod, leaning back in your seat. Just a few more hours until landing.
You look out the window, seeing the large landscape below you. Wait, the landscape? You scrunch your face in confusion. The journey is supposed to take at least another two hours, how could you possibly be this close to the ground already?
Still skeptical about your current view, you try the comms device again. “Anyone there?” No response. Just the soft static that remains consistent. Weird. Left to your own devices now, it looks like you’d have to take it up with the SHIELD agents.
“Why are we descending? I thought this trip would take at least a couple more hours.” You voice while gesturing to the window. Agent Charles smiles kindly, turning to face you.
“We’re stopping at a different base for supplies first,” He explains. You only nod, a little confused as to why no one mentioned this surprise stop. Gazing back out to the approaching land below, you see nothing but fields. Wherever this was, it was barren.
Now the nerves decide to kick back in, your stomach churning as your hesitance grows. You pull out the tablet from your bag, tapping around a few applications to try and make contact with the Avengers. If the comms don’t work, the tablet always does.
But as you hit send on a message, you’re only met with an error window. Shit. Something’s up, your technology never malfunctions like this. Why would there be two unusable devices and an unplanned stop on a jet full of people you’ve never met before?
Attempting to log into the database, you find the connection holds, letting you access files at the very least. Out of curiosity you tap open the SHIELD directory, locating the roster of all contracted agents. It wouldn’t hurt to double check Charles, right?
The program takes a second to load after you type in Charles, eventually one file laying out before you on the screen. Agent Charles, a blonde-haired man with a stern looking face. He looks nothing like the Charles standing just a few yards away.
The dreadful realization hits you as you notice the singular building below come into view. Whoever these agents are, they aren’t from SHIELD. They’re imposters here to hijack the flight.
You take a deep breath, inconspicuously putting away your tablet and sliding the concealed knife out of your bag. You hide it under the waistline of your pants when you’re sure no one is looking in preparation for whatever chaos is about to ensue.
If the plane touches the ground, you’ll have no choice but to comply with whatever these criminals want. As long as you’re still on the plane, there’s a chance at survival. Standing up, you slowly walk over to the control area, standing behind the agents piloting.
“I just received word from home base, we need to turn around due to enemy threats.” You lie as Charles turns to face you. Were they responsible for cutting the connection?
“Oh, no—it’s alright. We’ve got all the communications handled here. If we stop at this base we’ll be safe to continue after a while.” He responds with a soft demeanor. He was either playing into your lie, or covering his own. Either way, you weren’t going to wait to find out what was at that base.
“I’m sorry, I think you misunderstood me. Turn this plane around. I’m the lead on this mission here, I call the shots.” You insist, deep down knowing your words won’t mean much at this point. A part of you just wanted them to confess their true intent so you wouldn’t feel as bad for what was about to happen.
“I’m sorry, this is no longer your mission. Just relax, we’ll be landing shortly.” Charles coaxes as his incandescent stare nearly burns a hole through you. If it wasn’t already obvious, his intense expression would give his plan away. Regardless, it was enough for you to take action.
You slowly turn, finding the knife between your waistband as your back faces the cockpit, “Alright then, if you say so.” You breathe nonchalantly. Now gripping the handle of the knife, you turn abruptly, jabbing it into the closest agent.
An agonizing yelp emerges from the now lifeless body, your aim impeccable as you pull the knife out from his chest. Turning to face the last enemy, you feel a tight grasp on your offending wrist. Charles on the defensive holds your arm tightly before you get the chance to strike again.
The plane lurches as he stands to push you back, his forceful action causing you to drop the knife. Hand to hand combat it is, you decide as your arm returns to your side. The jet begins to pitch, causing you to stumble back as the un-manned flight charts off its course.
Charles gets the upper hand, landing a powerful punch to your stomach. You expel all your air, heaving as he tries to throw yet another blow. But you’re better than that, and quickly counter his attack with a domineering punch to the neck.
He’s left in a worse state than you, gasping for air as you strike once more with a punch to the head. He staggers back, hitting the back of his head on the wall and falling unconscious. That was close, you sigh in relief.
You quickly realize you aren’t in the clear yet as the plane veers almost vertically. You have to act fast if you don’t want to crash into the field. Jumping into the pilot's seat, you pull up on the steering wheel.
You don’t know too much about planes, but it’s enough to keep you from crashing for now. A breath of relief washes over you, but a new problem poses: getting yourself back home. In an attempt to figure out how to land safely, you wrack your brain for the long and boring lesson Tony gave you on his super technologically advanced planes. Autopilot… blue button… left side…
“Aha!” You exclaim to yourself as you find the blue button labeled autopilot on the confusing panel of controls. After setting the jet to fly back in the opposite direction, you press the button down and successfully keep the plane flying on its own.
You know that eventually you’ll need help to find exactly where the home base airfield is, so you now task yourself with finding the communications controls. Assuming the enemy agents cut all connections purposefully, there has to be a way to reinstate them.
Now standing by the screens lining the jet’s interior, you tap around the controls. Through the channel control hub, into the connection port, the reason behind your faulty technology is clear.
Audio Connection HOME BASE to HEADSET A: OFF
Wireless Connection HOME BASE to TABLET 8: OFF
You quickly switch both back on, pressing your earpiece to hear for any changes in the soft static as the connection light on the screen turns green. “Hello? Anyone there?” You speak into the air. Crackling fills the line, making you wince as the sharp noise takes over your hearing.
“…not SHIELD! Terminate the mission!” Voices cry out. The air fills your lungs again as you hear your friends voices, any remaining fear immediately soothed.
“I’ve eliminated the imposters, that was crazy.” You announce, the clamoring of warnings on the other end of the comms dying down.
“Thank goodness you’re safe, we tried to tell you but assumed they cut the connection.” Natasha’s familiar concerned voice tells you.
“Now how do I fly this thing back to base?” You ask while turning back to the large control panel. Everything on it is foreign to you, but with a bit of guidance from the Avengers, anything is possible.
After a thankfully uneventful return flight, the airfield you originally left from comes into view. The landing is smooth with the help of Tony and Nat over the communication device, leaving you worry-free after a previous stressful close call.
The black concrete is littered with security vehicles as you touch down, the aircraft soon being surrounded by real SHIELD agents with their guns at the ready. You tap a few buttons and turn off the engine, soon letting the side doors raise open.
A flood of agents enter, their attention quickly turning from you to the two unconscious imposters on the floor. You grab your bag and make haste to exit, not wanting to see the aftermath of whatever would happen to the pair.
You’re more than grateful to see a group of proud-looking superheroes when you step onto the solid ground. It feels good to finally be back on solid land, but even better to be back with the team who made sure you made it home safe.
“You had us worried there,” Natasha smirks as she opens her arms for a hug. You drop your bag on the ground as you approach.
“I can hold my own,” You comment before accepting her embrace, a matching smirk appearing on your expression as you eventually pull away from the hug.
Nat places her arm over your shoulder to guide you towards a black SUV, winking as she speaks. “I never doubted you for a second.”

A mistake I don't regret | Hazel Callahan.
AU established in the modern world
I don't know what's happening to me but I can't seem to stop writing. So I wrote this 👍
English is not my first language.
Song recommendation: I Know Places by Taylor Swift
Enjoy 🧡
"I finished." You celebrated by throwing your arms up and your head back, you could already feel the end of the semester at the tips of your fingers, you just had to hand in a few assignments, pass a test and you would be completely free for 3 months. The best moment of your life is coming, the holidays.
"I'm going now." You turned to Hazel's voice coming out of the hallway, she was dressed in brown jeans and a green flannel, the gray shoes were the same color as the backpack that hung from one shoulder. She stopped behind you, resting her hands on your shoulders and leaning down to look at the computer screen. "Now that you're done, are you sure you don't want to go?"
"I need to turn my brain off with a low-budget movie with lousy audio, but thanks."
"Good luck finding one worse than the one we saw yesterday." She told you as she messed up your hair.
From what you understood, Josie had received a new video game so she wanted to have a sleepover to try it out, she invited all the girls to spend the night together but this week had consumed you so you had to decline, you knew that Annie would bring her brownies and not being able to try them broke your heart, luckily Hazel knew you well enough that she promised to bring you some, you didn't know what would happen to you without her.
Getting up from the chair you followed Hazel to the door to say goodbye, this had become a routine that you had developed in the 4 years you lived together, every time one went out the other would leave her at the door, they had been doing it for so long that you no longer remembered who had started it.
"Tell them I said hello." You said, leaning on the nearby wall with your arms crossed watching the blue-eyed girl put on her shoes.
"Okay, I'll remind them not to call you so they don't bother you."
"Also remind PJ not to drink so much, I won't be there to clean up the vomit."
"I know." Putting on a red baseball cap in front of the mirror you had in the hallway, she sighed with false sadness. "We will miss you very much."
"Asshole."
Listening to her laugh you were grateful for having crossed paths with her in your life, she was one of the kindest, sweetest, most attentive people you had ever met. You met about 6 years ago when you moved in the middle of your high school years, you connected almost immediately that when you managed to get into college moving in together was more than decided. Everything had been perfect until now, or at least it was until you developed a crush on her earlier this year. It had started when she excitedly told you how she had started talking to a new girl, in the past when she did it you were genuinely happy for her, after all she deserved the best and more, but at that moment you felt like you had been punched in the stomach and spit in your face, the jealousy didn't last that long since that relationship lasted about 3 months, but afterwards you still felt guilty for feeling that way with your best friend.
"Take." You handed her the keys to your car, it was a fairly old one but it kept running, which was the important thing.
"Are you sure? I can order an Uber."
"Take it, it's much safer this way."
"Thank you." She said taking the keys and putting them in her pocket.
She began to approach so you began to stretch your arms waiting to receive the usual hug, when suddenly Hazel's left hand traveled up to your cheek and her lips collided with yours. Although you had looked at her lips an embarrassing number of times you could never imagine how soft they would be, it was just a small pressure but you could still feel something exploding in your chest and your pulse was beating so fast that you could hear it in your ears. You stretched out your right arm catching her waist but as soon as it started it ended and she pulled away from you.
"Tomorrow I'll arrive early so we can have breakfast together." And with one last toss of your hair she walked out the door.
What the fuck just happened?
Hearing the commotion from outside Hazel entered the house without knocking, at this point those formalities were not necessary with the trust they already had. Humming a song, she entered the kitchen to leave some snacks and drinks that she had bought for the night. After having almost everything organized, she called Josie to help her carry everything to the room.
"Hello Haze, what's up?"
"Glasses please." She ordered as she opened a Coke. "And nothing very interesting, did they all arrive?"
"Sep, you're the last to arrive. How is Judas?" She asked, leaving the glasses on the table and eating some potatoes that were on a plate.
Mr G had once called you that after he caught you cheating on a test, they never let you forget it.
"Well, she just finished some work so she was going to rest."
"More food for us then."
"By the way, is there alcohol? She asked me to take care of—."
But before she could finish saying anything, an image came into her head. Your mouth, her mouth, together. Holy shit. Dropping the glass of drink she put both hands on her head as she cursed. No. No. No. It couldn't be, she couldn't have done what she was remembering that she had done, that she had done to you.
"Hazel what the fuck? What happened, are you okay?"
It had to be some trick of her mind, it just couldn't be real, but it was, what the fuck had she done?
"Hey, what's wrong? Are you having a heart attack?"
"What happened, why so much noise?" She could hear someone's voice in the background but she couldn't identify who.
"I think she's having a stroke."
"What?!"
Trying to control her breathing, she turned to see the two girls who were in the kitchen with her.
"I kissed her." She whispered, unable to say it out loud.
"What?"
"I kissed her." She managed to articulate more clearly.
"What? Who?" Making eye contact with Annie she didn't need to say anything else, they had understood.
"Holy shit." Josie said with wide eyes.
"Was it with tongue?" Sylvie asked as she had just entered the kitchen.
"I kissed her." She repeated to herself without being able to believe it.
Leaving the video game more than forgotten, everyone settled into Josie's room as best they could.
"Why the fuck do you kiss her if you're going to regret it later? What a pussy." PJ judged Hazel sitting upside down in a chair.
"I didn't realize what I was doing, don't judge me."
"We don't judge you, we make fun of you." Sylvie clarified.
"But seriously, how do you kiss someone by accident? Aren't you hiding something from us?"
Although Annie's question was not intended to upset or offend, Hazel couldn't help but feel a hint of discomfort upon hearing it. Sure, you were her best friend and she loved you very much but it's not like she had those kinds of feelings towards you, right?
"I don't, I don't know what you mean."
"Looks like." PJ stung with intention.
Well, maybe she thought about you more than she should or looked at you for long periods of time when you didn't realize it, thinking how beautiful you were, but you were best friends, that's what they do, they care about each other and think they are the most beautiful people they have ever seen. What they probably didn't do was kiss each other and not feel a bit of remorse, because yes, Hazel didn't regret having kissed you, in fact, she had enjoyed it and suddenly found herself wanting to leave everything here and go home to finish what she had started.
"Oh my god, you want to fuck her so bad." PJ exclaimed when she saw the blush appear on the blue-eyed girl's face.
"Don't talk about her like that." It was the only thing she could say before remaining silent again with her head racing.
Okay, she could admit to feeling a small attraction towards you, something insignificant, or was it something more than that?
Suddenly a conversation came to her mind, one that she had with her ex-girlfriend before breaking up a few months ago, one where she complained that Hazel spent too much time talking about you and that she should choose between her or you. Swallowing hard, she remembered how she chose you in a heartbeat, without any regrets afterwards, because maybe, and only maybe, it was always you.
"I'm so screwed." She admitted with his face in her hands.
"Think positive, I had started to think that you were the problem with all your relationships ending, and that was the case, so."
"How is that positive?"
"That I was right."
She silently thanked Brittany for hitting PJ on the head.
Exhaling she turned to Isabel. "So, what do I do now?"
"Amm, I can help too, you know." Josie said hurt.
"Shut up, no, you can't, in your first kiss with Isa you almost fainted." Sylvie reminded her.
"Did you tell them?" She asked, very offended.
"Not now, baby."
"Okay."
"Look, Hazel, we can give you a thousand tips but the only way to clarify everything is to talk to her."
"I don't know, I don't even know if she likes me." She suddenly remembered something that made her want to dig a hole in the ground and never get out of it. "Holy fuck! I kissed her without even asking her, I'm a disgusting person."
"Oh please, if she hadn't been dying for you to do it." Annie told her, looking at her as if she were stupid.
"What?"
"It's true, she was dying those months you were dating that girl at the beginning of the year." Brittany said after a silence. "It was too obvious, actually."
"No, that was for something else, she told me. Why would she lie to me?"
"Why are you so worried about the kiss you just gave her?"
Confused by Isabel's sudden question, She decided to just answer it. "Because I don't want to screw up our friendship obviously." The raised eyebrows of everyone in the room made her understand. "Ah."
"Yes, ah, so now get up and go eat her mouth, you both deserve it." In the middle of her realization, PJ had walked towards her to pull her by one arm out of the room to leave her outside the house and close the door in her face.
Without really understanding what was happening, she got into the car and began driving towards her house with the screams of her friends behind her.
"Yes, queen!"
"Go get some pussy!"
"Good luck."
"Don't be like Josie!"
"I was very brave when I kissed Isabel!"
Standing outside the apartment she couldn't have the strength to enter. Would you be sleeping or watching TV? Maybe you locked yourself in your room so you wouldn't see her, maybe you hated her. Pushing those thoughts out of her head, Hazel inserted the key into the lock and with a sigh she opened the door and entered the apartment.
Her first impression of the place is that it was exactly the same, your computer was still on the table next to an empty glass, both the hallway light and the kitchen light were on, the only thing different was the sound coming from the living room and the darkest sky. She took off her shoes, taking more time than necessary, to finally stand up and give herself a mental cheer, at the end of the day you had been the one who was kissed out of nowhere and you needed answers.
The first thing she saw was the movie you had put on, on the screen was a very 2000s looking movie that she didn't recognize, going a little further into the room she could finally see you, you were looking at the screen but it was very clear that your mind was somewhere else.
"I thought you were arriving tomorrow."
Hazel jumped a little in her place, she didn't expect you to have heard her coming.
She shifted in her position and with a hand on her neck she tried to find her voice. "I came earlier" How smart.
"Why?"
"Um, I have to talk to you, because of what... I did, because of what I did to you."
"What did you do to me?" This time you turned to see her. Hazel scared and worried eyes looked bright from the reflection of the TV, you could see how she couldn't sit still and her messy hair confirmed that she had passed her hands through it many times, a sign that she was anxious.
"Are you angry?"
"I'm confused." You responded.
Hazel nodded her head and moved a little closer to you but without sitting down.
"To be honest, I don't have a clear explanation for why I did what I did, I'm sorry if it inconveniences you and if you want me to leave I will do so immediately."
"You regret it." It wasn't a question, from the blue-eyed girl's reaction you were sure that she considered the kiss a mistake, but her response made you swallow your thoughts.
"Unless it made you uncomfortable, I would never regret it."
A little shaky, you slowly got up from the couch without breaking eye contact, you were tired of so many crossroads and unanswered questions.
"I liked you Hazel, I liked you so much that it hurts, and, and I didn't know what to do or say because-because losing you would be the worst thing that could happen to me, but, but then you kissed me and I went crazy and I realized that I don't like you. I love you Hazel. I can't live a life without telling you how I feel, 'cause some part of me hopes that you feel the same way."
Your hands itched to grab something to distract yourself but you refused to move, you wanted your words to reach her with nothing but pure sincerity.
"You love me? Me?" Hazel's voice came out shaky and her eyes grew brighter with tears.
Shit, had you been too direct? There was no longer an opportunity to retract it and you didn't want to, if this was the end you were going to repeat it as many times as necessary. "Yes Hazel, I love you."
In less than three seconds Hazel was all over you, the impact of the body almost threw you back but her arms around you stabilized you, her face was buried in your neck and one of her legs was between yours. Although it was a fairly tight and suffocating hug, you never felt lighter and calmer.
"I love you too, you have no idea how much I love you." She said making her breathing tickle you. So you laughed as you wrapped her in your arms too, your chin ended up on her head where you placed a kiss and heard several I love yous coming out of Hazel's mouth.
You hugged each other for what seemed like an eternity, both of you holding onto each other not wanting to let the other go. After another while Hazel raised her head and one of her hands went to your cheek, where she caressed your cheekbone with her thumb.
"I love you." She said again with a smile full of emotions. Love, calm but excitement, happiness.
"I love you." You repeated to her, feeling the same way.
A shaky sigh escaped her lips directing your attention to them, you had kissed those same lips a few hours ago.
"Can I kiss you?" You asked with as much self-control as you could muster.
She didn't even respond to you when her mouth collapsed on yours, the hallway kiss had been just a small bump, two lips together just sharing an innocent moment, but this kiss was the opposite. Her mouth moved desperately over yours, while one of her hands went to your neck where she began to play with your hair, the other remained firm on your hip, keeping you glued to her. Tasting your lower lip you opened your mouth allowing her entry to explore, your hands went under her shirt, you were grateful that it was a loose fabric as it gave you more freedom to touch everything you could. With a shudder she pushed you towards the couch where, changing position, she sat down and you fell on top of her. Her wet tongue began to run along your neck, her hands went to your hair, pulling your head back so she could explore everything about you, your hands went in the direction of her bra that you unclasped almost expertly. Her mouth returned to yours where she began to leave wetter but slower kisses, her two hands went to your lower back, pressing you closer to her, after a few seconds the kiss began to become a little calmer to end with her placing small kisses all over your face, laughing breathlessly you rested your head on her neck.
"Are we something now?" You asked stupidly, it was obvious that oxygen still wasn't reaching your brain.
"Shit I hope so because I need to kiss you like that again."
With a sigh of relief you moved away from her neck so you could look into her eyes.
"Hazel, I love you."
"And that's why I'm the luckiest girl in the world." Savoring the moment, and her lips, you decided this was the best moment of your life, screw the holidays.

S1E5: y/n fell
WRITTEN PART -> (1.7k) -> no ss after text
THE TALK TO THE HAND CREW NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING. A live episode in semi-public? No, they've done that in the parking lot of the library. A fundraiser episode? Nope, they didn't even know money could be made from the podcast. A collab with a fraternity? Nooo, Liz and Gaeul are in a sorority.
The fact that Y/n is getting ready for an episode of the podcast is what's shocking the crew. Typically, in each episode, Y/n and San are talking about who dropped down and sobbed because of a failed situationship, so there's no reason to dress up.
So imagine the looks on Yeosang and Mingi's faces (who arrived first to the famous ATZ house) as both San and Y/n exited their car. San with his arms all out and Y/n with pretty pink glitter on her eyes.
“Both of you go home and change.” Mingi says while pointing off into the distance. Yeosang beside him takes a small second away from setting up the podcast's table to take a picture of the two. “Is that glitter on your eyes, Y/n? I thought we all said no more glitter after that one incident”
“That was san who got the glitter in his eyes. Not me. And it looks nice, doesn't it??” she says with glee, but in response, all she gets is a pained smile from Yeosang and a big laugh from the man next to her. But when she turns to San to glare at him for laughing, the guy quickly turns and narrows his eyes on one of the many frat members nearby. “Woah, is that one of my gym bros?? I gotta go say hi”
“How is San not in a frat house?” Seonghwa says from the table that's set up near the podcast's area by the garage. “We're still recruiting for new members if he's interested.”
“During our first year, we interviewed a frat boy, and he told all the hazing stories. San's too scared to join one.”
“Our initiation is an IQ test.. We're not animals, or hoping any will join.”
Seonghwa and Y/n turn to the sudden loud noise as the two see San roaring while pretending to rip off his shirt in front of Jongho. “Yeah.. I feel like he'll fail that IQ test..”
With the late arrival of Liz and Gaeul, the first forty minutes of the episode went well. Well, for the content, at least, as San kept on being called by members of the frat to come and join the festivities. Making him actually rip his shirt on camera for “funzies” as he said.
And since there was occasionally an empty srat next to Y/n, the crew decided to fill the seat themselves, which is why Mingi is now telling the viewers about the frat house seen behind them.
“Im genuinely not lying to you, Y/n. During the party for the first week of school, three people in this house came up to me and asked me out.” Mingi says with the mic right up against his lips while the sunglasses on his head reflect the look of disbelief on Y/n's face.
“Sure..” She nods and smiles as the man in front of her continues to act cocky. “Was one of them your anonymous admirer or..?”
Mingi stumbles on his words while trying to also figure out what words to say as Gaeul starts to speak from behind the camera. “Battery's low, I have to stop the recording for a bit”
As she stops the camera, Y/n takes the time to look to her left, seeing what the co-host is doing after ditching her. “Look at this guy, our first charity episode, and he's not even helping.” She shakes her head at the view of a shirtless san being dragged over a car's windshield.
“Looks like he's helping the frat, see how many extra bills that car gave to the money guy.” Liz removes her focus from her laptop with the OBS system paused to see what Y/n's talking about.
Yeosang continues to fidget with his audio device before handing something to Gaeul and Y/n. “Your tiktok mics.” The two take the mini clip-on mics with a gasp. “I tested them last night, and the quality is alright, I guess..”
“Oh my god, Yeosang.. You didn't tell us you're in love with us what?? I thought you said no to them” Y/n says as she helps Gaeul clip on her mic. “As if, I only said no to testing them here. So I tested them myself, you're welcome-”
“Wait but what are they going to do with them on when we have perfectly fine mics right here??”
With a slight smirk on her face, Gaeul unlocks the camera from its tripod, battery now changed and points it torwards Y/n with a look. “Y/n's interview time!!!”
“Oh wait actually?— Hey listeners! Aren't you sick and tired of hearing Mingi go on and on?”
“Hey! Wha—”
“Well.. It's time we see what the viewers irl think about this little event!” Y/n makes a little gesture to the camera to follow her as she starts to look around the area.
“Oh wait, perfect, let's get an opinion from the vice-president of the frat himself. Mister Park Seonghwa, it's good to meet you.” She sticks out her hand for him to take as Gaeul says something, “Wait you two never met??”
“No. But we're mutuals on Instagram, and it's good to meet you too Y/n. I love what you've done with your eye makeup today, the glitter suits you.”
“Oh, stop it, you sweetheart. So, how are you feeling with the car wash today? Is it going as planned, or…?”
The male takes a moment to look at the surroundings, making Gaeul turn the canera to show the view of cars along the big driveway and even down the street.
He speaks into the small mic held by Y/n, “It's going as planned, but I just can't help but feel sad as it's me and Hongjoong's final one.”
The two girls gasp, “Oh noo, I forgot it's your final year, my tutor is leaving. Who will bring me and Liz snacks during our morning class now??”
“You're the vice-president of a frat, a sweetheart, and a tutor?!?” Y/n exclaims with an exaggerated gasp for the camera.
Seonghwa nods with a slight grin, “And, after I graduate, I plan to go back home and teach at the elementary school I went to.”
“Alright, we're leaving you Seonghwa.” Y/n jokingly waves bye to the man, “You already have half of the campus in love with you. Do you want the other half too??”
“Shhh, don't reveal my plan to thousands of viewers.” With a soft smile on his face, he raises his hands up as a playful surrender, “You two should go interview someone else.. I'm not the only person here”
“Do you think we should interview a car??”
Behind the camera, Gaeul's facial expression lights up, “Y/n. I know a car here, let's get her.” With the confused face of Y/n as a signal, Gaeul starts to run to a white colored Toyota Corolla in the line of cars.
Camera aimed towards the driver's window, Gaeul takes her free hand to slam on the glass, scaring the poor girl inside. Y/n mumbles a quick ‘goodbye’ to Seonghwa to rush over to where Gaeul is, as she's getting yelled at (softly) by her sorority sister..
“Oh hey Rei! I didn't know you're into these.. events..? Want to be interviewed by us?” At Y/n's words, the girl sends a quick glare to Gaeul before unlocking the car so they could get in.
“For the record, I'm not into the whole shirtless car wash thing.” Rei says as the two settle in the car, Y/n in the passenger seat and Gaeul in the back with the camera pointed at the two. “Sure..”
“No really, Y/n, these boys genuinely know how to clean. Like they get down to the details and I just need a cheap car wash that'll make my car nice and shiny.”
Gaeul leans over the center console of the car to point the camera towards the windshield as water from the house's hose starts to flow down the glass. “Mom this is actually the cleanest frat on campus. Tag along with us to their parties please, there'll be no more bathroom incidents.”
“What's with you guys and incidents?” Rei turns to face the camera as a few members of the frat (shirtless) start to wipe the car with bubbly suds of soap. “It's like every episode I watch you guys are mentioning at least one..”
“Too many things happen in our lives babe.” Gaeul answers instead of the interviewer as Y/n's eyes are currently locked on the figure none other than Jeong Yunho.
She snaps her fingers in front of Y/n's face to bring her out of her trance. Which fails the first few times until the three get startled by San's knocking on the windshield followed by a wave.
“Quick! Run him over!” Y/n says as she's forced to watch her best friend soak himself with a bucket of water before rinsing off the car, sending a wink to the camera. “Oh god.. Mingi is going to hate editing this.. if he actually does.”
As Rei and Gaeul head into their own conversation while the frat boys dry the car with rags and washcloths, Y/n tries her best to not look at the view of a shirtless Yunho right by the passenger door. Which fails as San opens both the passenger and back door for her and Gaeul. “Ladies- Did you enjoy the show?” San says grabbing ahold of the camera to film the girls.
“I want a refund San,” Y/n starts as she takes a foot out of the car, “You left me during the whole—” When she tries to stand straight out of the car and take one step forward, her shoe slips on the wet and soapy ground, causing her to fall slowly. She closes her eyes as she braces for the impact of the cold ground, but it never comes and as she opens her eyes she makes eye contact with the one and only Jeong Yunho holding her in his arms.
“Holy shit. Cut the cameras right now.”
synopsis = the ‘college experience’ for some it includes joining a frat/sorority or parties every night or drowning in the amount of school work. but for y/n it means making a podcast with her friends…

YEONJUN X READER
"I know that he's my ex, but can't two people reconnect?"
《Part. 1》
Pairing:: Yeonjun x fem!reader
Warnings::none
Based off the song "bad idea right" by Olivia Rodrigo
A/N::I've never made a fanfic quite like this and it's about to get GOOOD just keep updated bro
☆-June last year-☆
"Baby listen, please~" Yeonjun pleaded as he held your hands. You had just caught him cheating on you with a girl he told you "not to worry about" but oh this punk was hearing it from you.
"No! You seriously hooked up with that whore?!" You shouted at him. "We're done." You said as you stomped to the door and went to close it before his hand grabbed it.
"Baby, please I can explain," he started with those big doe eyes.
"Call me your ex." You shoved his hands off the door and slammed it. You got in your car and drove home.
☆-September last year-☆
After a loser prom by yourself and a summer of deciding what to do with your future it was officially September. You were taking at least a one gap year before deciding your future.
☆-December last year-☆
You moved into an apartment that was quite nice and all of your new friends lived in the apartments next to you and one lived right above you. All that considered, you still felt lonely. They all had partners but you were alone in your little apartment. But there was no way that you'd ever consider getting back with him.
☆-May-☆
You were at a party in your friend's dorm for her birthday and there was a lot of boy gossip. You had told them about Yeonjun before but not the whole story. They were super into it and as you told them everything about him you felt yourself daydreaming all of the sudden…
"Wait, is this Choi Yeonjun?" Iris questioned.
"Yup that's the boy," you said as your feet swayed in the air.
"Oh my boyfriend is friends with him! I have his number~" she grinned. "Wanna talk to him?" She said innocently.
"Girl what? Did you not just hear the story about him?" Your friend Tiamara spoke up.
"Yes, but he's so nice now! I think that break up really woke him up," Iris smiled. You thought for a moment before the rest of your friends shook their heads.
The next day you asked Iris in private to give you his number. You unblocked him on all of his socials and he started liking your posts. You did the same, swiping through all the photos and double clicking the screen. He had a nice Instagram, it was quite the vibe. You then came upon a post of him crying with a song playing. You felt your heart shatter as you read the caption. The song that was playing was a song made about you.
You clicked on the audio and found his Spotify. You followed him and looked through his playlists. They were all very calming so you played one. You went back and liked the post about you and went to his DM's and tried to decide what to say to him.
☆-June-☆
Today was the big day. The first time you'd be hanging out with Yeonjun since you broke up with him. He invited you to hang out at Starbucks nearby and of course you agreed. You took a deep breath and went out of your apartment. You crawled into your car and pulled out your phone. You messaged Yeonjun
"Omw over now ;)"
You took another deep breath and started the car.
You arrived at Starbucks and saw his car parked up at the front. You parked next to him and when you got out of your car you saw him standing by the door in a rainbow plaid shirt with black jeans. You walked up to him and he instantly complimented you. "Your hair looks so nice," he smiled softly and looked down at the ground with pink cheeks. "Your shoes are also really pretty," he rubbed the back of his neck and looked away. You smiled wide.
"Thank you, I got these recently," you said as you looked down at your shoes. You looked up again to see Yeonjun smiling at you.
"Shall we head in now?" He said as he raised his chin and put one of his hands in the pocket of his jeans. He opened the door for you and you walked inside the coffee shop. While waiting in line you thought to yourself "he has changed so much. Whatever could have happened? Or maybe he's trying to win me over again…"
"Y/N?" He spoke and it knocked you out of your thoughts.
"Sorry, yes?" You smiled.
"What are you going to order?" He asked and you could see a lingering emotion in his eyes. What was that emotion? You couldn't tell.
"Probably a strawberry acai with either lemon or coconut water base," you explained and he nodded.
"You always did order the strawberry acai," he said softly.
"What was that?" You asked.
"Nothing!" The two of you moved forward in the line and you continued the conversation.
"So what are you going to order?" You smiled as you looked at his puffy lips and big eyes that were scanning the room.
"Probably an iced americano," he shrugged and you smiled.
"You always did order an iced americano," you grinned and he looked at you surprised before blushing and looking away. Just as he was about to speak, the cashier asked you for your orders.
When it was time to buy, Yeonjun insisted on paying for your drink and he pulled out his credit card. Just as he was going to pay for both of your drinks you chimed in and said "if you're paying for me I'll pay for you."
The cashier looked confused.
"Too late," Yeonjun said before paying. He thanked the cashier and let you pick a seat. The two of you sat down and started some idle chat before Yeonjun's name was called out. He got up and returned with your drinks. "You know…there is another reason I invited you here," he sighed and looked at the table. You got intrigued and set your drink down, the cup escaping your lips. "I was an asshole to you. You were completely right for dumping me the way you did." He sighed as he remenced the memories of the day you broke up. "Basically I'm really sorry for the way I treated you, but don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way," he looked up at you with sincere eyes. You nodded and let him continue "you've also changed. For the better," he chuckled.
"How so?" You looked confused.
"W-Well usually you'd um," he took a sip of his drink before continuing "You wouldn't offer to pay for my food, like the way you did today. You don't do your nails, or draw or something when we're on call. You know little stuff that means a lot to me," he blushed and took another sip.
"I guess I didn't treat you greatly either…" you said before taking a sip of your acai. "Senior year really wasn't the best time to date…"
"Well we have a new chapter to start," Yeonjun smiled and you found your eyes staring at him. "S-So what have you been doing the past year?" He smiled and leaned forward. You told him a lot about your past year and your future plans which were basically to make money. After a good 20-30 minutes you realized he hadn't said anything about his past year.
"What's been up with you?" You smiled as you bottomed up your acai.
"I started making music," he smiled. "I took some classes and got hired at a studio that my aunt works at. It's a pretty big place," he chuckled as your eyes widened.
"Wow you've been awfully successful!" You smiled brightly.
"I guess so, I haven't been making much," he sighed. "With no singing abilities it's kinda hard. I've only been making ost's for anime or video games," he shrugged and you looked up at him with a little idea sparking in your mind.
"That's understandable, but still! You're doing a lot better than me," you chuckled. "You know I was in choir and had some singing lessons for a few years. Maybe I could help you get a start?"
After about an hour chatting the two of you went to get some breakfast wraps from Tim Hortons and said goodbye. "I'm happy we got things figured out and were able to get back a healthy relationship," he smiled and extended his arms out for a hug. "May I?" He smiled and you hugged him softly. He smelt so good, like Marshmallows. His touch was soft and his hair looked so smooth. You found yourself hugging him for a long time.
"Are you wearing perfume?" You asked.
"A little bit," he blushed and rubbed the back of his neck while looking away. You giggled at his cute reaction.
"That's new," you smiled and he looked at you shocked. Yeonjun stared for a moment before resuming. "We should do this again sometime," you smiled.
"Y-Yeah totally! I had a great time sweet-" he started before looking down slightly shocked. You looked at him confused before sticking back some of his hair behind his ear.
"Then I'll see you soon," you smiled before heading for your car, "honey," you said before hopping in your car. He looked shocked but he had a big smile on his face.
