This is one of the issues that I have with the show: the author can't resist soap boxing his current political opinions, even if it seems very unlikely to me that that particular character would have that particular political opinion. For sure the original comic book had its share of political soap boxing, but it matched the characters more, I think. Besides, we're adapting it anyway. If we're smoothing out some of the edginess wrinkles, then we can also consider smoothing out some of the more awkward writing wrinkles as well.

Saying the original comics did it too is a cope since in many ways this adaptation already deviates from the story and characterisation.

Ep 3 Tim died first before the wildcard and lost FOUR LIVES, while Scar couldn’t STOP dying and is on RED and also lost four lives.
