I know I’m dreaming here but I really want Jim and Frenchie to have a weird little friendship this season. Like they were both kidnapped and as far as they know everyone else is dead so I’m just imagining them trusting each other out of necessity and then eventually getting just attached enough that they go a little out of their way to watch each other’s backs. I mean they still both have their own interests to protect and if Jim got a chance to escape and it meant leaving Frenchie behind or vice versa I think they’d still go for it but like checking after they raid a wedding to make sure they both made it out alright. Trying not to let each other out of their sight because they let the others out of their sight and now they don’t know what happened to them. That kind of thing.

[Promised Prince AU] moment where Magalor gets his relationship revealed to Kirby and Bandee on accident, expecting them to be really against it and hate him, only for them to be super supportive. After all, both of them have seen their fair share of villain-redemptions and if Magalor trusts Oakley then they can do the same. Honestly, I think the majority of the cast either wouldn't care, wouldn't get the potential danger behind it OR are still supportive anyway.

Canonically, we now know that Quincey "does not speak any foreign language". So now I'm wondering what foreign languages everyone else would be likely to speak.

Arthur: would certainly have learned French, Latin and Ancient Greek at school, and probably German too, which was the second foreign language taught in English schools. But he's independently wealthy, so would he have paid all that much attention? I think at this point, he probably speaks good French and bits and pieces of a wide assortment of other languages.

Jack: would have had a similar education, but being a doctor, I'd guess his Latin and Ancient Greek are still pretty good. Latin and Romanian are closely related so while he might not be able to understand spoken Romanian, I imagine he can have a good shot at reading it.

Mina: probably speaks French, maybe some German. Ladies were taught Latin less often and Greek very seldom, but knowing Mina, she might have taught herself some Latin too.

Jonathan: is clearly a whizz with a polyglot dictionary but also spent quite a lot of time in Budapest. I'd guess he has at least conversational Hungarian at this point.

[Edited: lots of people in the notes pointing out that Jonathan has reasonably good German, and that's probably what he uses in Budapest too.]

Van Helsing: speaks Dutch, English, German, very probably French, certainly Latin and Ancient Greek, probably Italian, possibly modern Greek and what's more, I imagine he can do incomprehensible metaphors in all of them.
