Suddenly thinking about an AU where Vox erased his memories about Alastor and how that might affect the show's timeline.

Though to be honest I just want to think about how Alastor is going to react and feel about waiting for Vox to eventually find out about his return...

Only to find out in the Overlord meeting that Vox completely forgot about him as he smiled at him and offered his hand with a practiced professional air.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Vox from Voxtek, the Leader of the Vees. Are you new around here?"

In this AU, Episode 2 changes drastically. There was never a "Stayed Gone" segment nor was Sir Pentious sent to the Hazbin Hotel to spy on them. Which means that a lot would've changed in this timeline since the First Redeemed would be mostly out of the picture.

And Vox not giving Alastor the time of day means that if Alastor launched his radio show again, he has to slowly win back his viewership instead of having free advertising in the shape of a tv-headed obsessed fool.

Honestly, with how Vox's obsession on Alastor gives him a reliable source of attention and entertainment, he would be rather upset that the TV Overlord wouldn't give him the time of day. Not only that but he completely forgot about him! New? What do you mean new? He has been an Overlord far longer than he had! He is The Radio Demon. And he dares to ask him if HE is new?

What the hell happened to Vox? Why doesn't he remember him? Is this the reason why Vox never gave him the attention he knew he would give him once he realized he returned? What was he supposed to do now?

His feelings are hurt. His ego was bruised.

Vox was never like this.

And he'll be damned if Vox stays that way.

ARCANE S2 RELATED CONTENT ALSO TRANSISTOR GAME RELATED CONTENT

Transistor x JayVik AU(? Where they actually after the finale end up in Cloudbank, but before the events of Transistor. Even before Royce Bracket's birth. Because they're his parents.

I've seen Miguel O'Hara being a JayVik Kid, Blitzcrank being the Canon JayVik Kid, I've seen Venture from Overwatch being another Kid, but with a friend we tied some points.

I'mma die on that hill.

Continuing with the Headcanons!!!:

- they notice that Hextech doesn't exist there, Viktor is more weakened than Jayce about the lack of it.

- somehow they manage to get with the process and the Transistor. Probably they created the Transistor as an attempt to save Viktor, again. They didn't learn that much from their mistakes, or they found out about the Process too late.

- Viktor's leg gets processed in the way, and they had to put away the Transistor Project. He wears the leg brace to weigh his leg and be able to walk normally, but the leg makes him kinda float and walk weird. He also has part of his abdominal area processed, he's slowly being processed.

- they have Royce. Either adoption or some magic-science thing happens and they had Royce biologically.

- Royce adopts both traits from his parents. The whole Loner Scientist from Viktor, the involving with politics from Jayce.

- They loved Royce. He was a loved kid, and they enjoyed that he liked science and technology, and he tried to help his father to stop the Process, but he didn't know back then.

- Jayce probably founded The Camerata, or him and Viktor belonged to the first team, but just as Scientists and staying that way. They wanted to change and help the world, but this time in a different and more direct way.

- When Viktor starts becoming more Processed, they back off from The Camerata, only Royce knew where did they go or what happened to them.

- When Viktor is almost processed, Jayce decides to manipulate and use the Transistor to save their traces together, to share the burden of the Process, dying together again as one with the same death. (Each time they "die", they just change universes to live a new life together again). Probably had a similar reaction to Asher and Grant. They couldn't bear to live without the other. They left a recording or their traces for Royce to find, but I guess he couldn't read them, not getting his parents' last words.

- Royce years later finds the Transistor, but never relates it to his parents. I'm re listening his voicelines and he said he can't remember how did he find the Transistor, so he doesn't know his parents were involved.

Deleted firefighter au snippet

Sooo… this was the first scene I ever wrote for the firefighter au. I had planned for Asher to be injured very badly in an attempt to mimic the Inversion. This was the scene I pictured, Sam as a paramedic doing what he did for Ash in the Inversion in the real world.

I ended up cutting this because I wanted Ash to be in his feet for the whole story and this would have happened early on, within the next few chapters of the story. It was a HUGE escalation that I couldn’t justify.

Here’s what you need to know: in this scene Quinn set a fire in a cafe that the 10-19 crew frequents. The crew responds and the baristas tell them somebody is still inside. Ash goes back in for them. It’s Quinn and he shoots Ash to get a clean get away.

I’m sad that I needed to cut this scene since I love it a lot, but it’s for the better of the story. I thought I’d share it here so everybody could enjoy it!

TW: gun shot wound, blood and injury, gore, medical procedures, vomit.

And again, this is not canon to the firefighter au.

“I’ve gotta crack his chest.” Sam whispered. Vincent was spouting vitals so fast you couldn’t keep up. “I’ve gotta…”

David was shouting something incoherent, some desperate plea to save him, save him, do whatever it took. Maybe he was so overcome he couldn’t get his words out clearly. Maybe your mind wasn’t able to keep up.

You really wanted to go home. You were sweating and Sam had gone still and your shoulders were aching from the CPR and you knew it wasn’t doing anything.

The general rule of thumb was this; a puncture wound in the intercostal space was bad. Really bad. Only fifteen to thirty percent of people survived that kind of thing. It was outside of your nature, all of your natures, but you knew what you were trained to do. Pack the wound, make a big show of continuing CPR, clear loved ones away from the victim as quickly as possible, and hope that pressure and compressions were enough for them to last until you got to a trauma center.

More often than not, it was not enough.

Asher was bleeding out. Vincent was glued to the monitor, reading out his steady decreasing vitals like a mantra, like a prayer. Sam was still.

“Do something!” David had grabbed onto Sam’s uniform, spreading blood across the navy blue. “Fucking do something, Sam!”

“Somebody get me a knife!” Sam shouted back. He was moving suddenly, stripping his gloves and reaching for the industrial bottle of rubbing alcohol in his jump bag. “Vincent, you’ve gotta drive. Get on the radio, tell St. Pauls we’re coming in with an emergency thoracotomy.”

“What?” Vincent’s steady stream of vitals came to a halt. “Sam, we don’t- we don’t even have a scalpel, let alone rib spreaders, anti-” Sam ignored him, digging down into his bag until he retrieved a bottle of orange-red liquid and a pair of scissors. You realized after staring for a moment that it was PVP-Iodine, definitely not standard issue. You wondered somewhere far off what else Sam kept in his bag of tricks.

“What’s his blood type?” Sam asked sharply. Vincent had started moving, shuffling away from the monitors and towards the busses’ doors. David was just crying now, clutching Asher’s leg in his hand and making terrible, wounded sounds, like a part of him was being ripped away. “David, what’s his blood type?” Sam was shouting over him, kicking him halfheartedly in the shin.

“A Positive,” Milo appeared on David’s left and extended a small folding knife towards Sam. He looked a bit green at the scene, but swallowed heavily.

“Get him outta here.” Sam nodded towards David. “He doesn’t need to see this.” As he was speaking, Sam was moving faster than you thought possible. He cut away what remained of Asher’s gray-now red- DFD t-shirt, covered the knife in rubbing alcohol, and replaced his gloves. “Vincent, tell St. Pauls to get us as many bags of A positive as they can.”

He nodded towards Milo, who gripped tightly to David’s arm and started pulling him back. You watched the Captain fight for a moment before going still and quiet, letting Milo pull him away.

“Call his family.” Sam said more to Milo than David. “Get anybody who needs to say goodbye to Dahlia Gen within the hour.”

Milo nodded sharply once and slammed the bus doors behind him. You were left in the quiet, the only sounds being Asher’s heart monitor, the engine coming to life, and Sam’s heavy breathing. He took one breath, and another, looked up at you with sweat trickling down his brow.

“You seen one of these?” He asked. You shook your head. He picked up the PVP-I, spread it across the left side of Asher’s torso. “Keep your head. You’ve gotta be my ribspreader.”

“Sam, I-”

“I know you don’t think you can do this.” Sam nodded. He gripped the knife hard in his hands. You could see them shaking like they always did. “But I don’t care. You have to or he’s gonna die.”

You didn’t know if Sam was talking to you or himself.

He was shaking. He took one more breath. His hands went still.

He cut a long, straight line across Asher’s ribs. Ash didn’t stir, didn’t cry out. Sam reached over him and gripped your hands, pulled them over. He hooked your fingers into the cut.

“Work your way in while I cut. You’ve gotta pull his muscles back far enough for me to get my hand in.”

You thought you were gonna puke. Asher’s blood was hot against your hands. Sam went back in, cutting through the plane of muscle over asher’s ribs, and finally slotted his knife between the fourth and fifth intercostal space. You held on with as much strength as you had, and watched with a light head as Sam squeezed his hand between Asher’s ribs.

Sam’s bicep started to flex and relax, and you watched the pattern for a moment before you realized he was beating Asher’s heart manually.

“Okay,” Sam grunted, “okay, I need you to hold on with one hand and keep bagging him with the other.” You nodded and reached for the blue AMBU bag, smearing it with red.

“Three minutes out!” Vincent called from the front. Asher’s blood was dripping down into an impressive puddle on Sam’s shoes. Vincent didn’t let off the horn for a second. You could hear other sirens following you. You would bet that the entirety of the 1019 was hot on your tail.

“I’ve never done one of these before.” Sam whispered, his head turned down. He was smiling. “I’ve only ever seen one- no two? Two. One in med school on a cadaver, one on a GWS victim in my ER.” He was laughing. A hysterical, exhausted type of giggle. You felt your stomach tensing, trying not to join him.

Sam stopped trying to control it and finally let out a cackle that shook your resolve. You started laughing, shaking your head, counting the seconds in your head- one, two, three, one two three,- as you forced Asher’s lungs to work. Sam was breathless and flushed, his head tossed back as his hand kept working, kept squeezing, kept beating the heart in his palm.

“Then why-” you giggled out, “Why did you do it?”

Sam’s laughs began to die. He sniffled and sighed his way out, calming his breath. He looked down at Asher as the humor left him in one sharp breath.

“Because…” He said softly. “He’s David’s best friend. He’d never forgive me if I didn’t do everything I could to save him. And I wouldn’t forgive myself either.”

Vincent pounded the metal side of the ambulance twice with his fist. They were close, pulling in. Sam braced against the stretcher. You kept counting- one, two, three, one two three.

There was noise again as soon as the doors opened. Two doctors swarmed around as you stood, trying to hold on and keep bagging and pull the stretcher out all at once. Vincent pushed into the back, taking the bag from you as the doctors stepped in.

“Sam, you did an emergency thoracotomy in the field?” It was one of the trauma residents you guys delivered to often enough. His eyes were wide and wild as he looked down at Sam’s work.

“GSW to the left ventricle. I can feel the legion, but I’m maintaining a good heartbeat. This is salvageable.” Sam rattled off more things that you barely understood. Fuck, you were out of your depth. Your fingers hurt. You could feel your hands cramping.

“Let’s prep some rib spreaders!” One of the doctors shouted over their shoulder. “Hop on, guys, we’ll need you two in there until we get to the OR.”

Sam stood and swung his leg over Asher, straddling him as he bent to keep up his ministrations. You stepped up onto the foothold of the stretcher as Vincent and the doctors started to lower the gurney and rushed you into the hospital.

“Tell David we’re going straight to surgery,” Sam told Vincent as one of the doctors took over the Ambu bag. “It’ll be a few hours at least before we know which way this is going. Somebody tell William I’m here. I want Alexis Solaire on this, wake her up if you have to!”

You watched, your fingers cramping, as Sam shouted out orders like he ran this place. You knew that he was planning to be a surgeon before switching careers. You could picture him in the same green scrubs as the doctors around you, a stark white lab coat, comfortable sneakers for standing at operating tables, running through emergency halls. You could imagine him bending over patients and tying off stitch after stitch, sewing somebody back together, pulling a life back from the brink.

His uniform was stained. Yours probably was too. There was blood splattered on his face, up his arms. You wondered how long it would take to get out of his hair.

They rolled you past a set of double doors marked; “NO ENTRY BEYOND THIS POINT,” down a long, windowless corridor, and into a sterile room. Somebody reached around your face and tied a surgical mask over your mouth and nose, settled a scrub cap over your disheveled hair. You watched as they did the same to Sam, draping him in a light blue gown. They were trying to be sterile, even though you couldn't estimate how much contamination had hit Asher between the burning building, Sam’s hand inside of his body, and the ash that you could still feel clinging to your skin.

It occurred to you that this was a monumentally stupid thing to do. Somebody came forward with a long metal contraption. Two metal bars were attached to a crank. A rip spreader. You’d never seen one in real life, just in episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs and the pages of your medical textbooks. The nurse urged your fingers away as she slotted the spreader around Sam’s wrist and started to crank, relieving the pressure and giving you a full view of Asher’s exposed lung, his heart, beating weakly in Sam’s hand.

You were really going to puke now.

Somebody grabbed you by the shoulders and started steering you out of the OR while they transferred Ash and Sam from the ambulance gurney and onto the operating table. Sam’s hand was still inside Asher as he swung his leg back over and stepped down, bending with effort to maintain his rhythm. The last thing you saw was a team of doctors and nurses descending onto Asher, Sam swallowed among them, before you were escorted out of the room and emptied your stomach into an offered bedpan.

You couldn’t recall if you’d asked for one, or if you just seemed like you needed it, but you were grateful nonetheless.

You walked back out towards the waiting room, still covered in blood. Vincent was waiting with a bag from the hospital gift shop. You changed into the fleece pajama pants and sweatshirt cheerfully inscribed with a cheery “Dahlia General Hospital: Where Healing Happens!”

You called Gavin.

You settled in for the night, your head on Vincent’s shoulder. You knew not you nor none of the dozens of firefighters squeezed into one corner of the waiting room were leaving until Asher was out of surgery.

One way or another.

Alvar Thornburn returns to get his revenge for the first war, he faces his own son, Janis, his great grandson, Asher, great granddaughter, Lovina, Daughter-in-law, Beatrix and granddaughter Tobi. After Alvar seems to have defeated Janis, he goes on to Asher for revenge on Asher's mother, Natalie getting with a Illager and destroying their pure Nether-Being royal bloodline.

I like to imagine that in a scenario where the Hitman/Aide survived the Amaterasu Express Massacre, even if it was discovered that he was the imposter by the Master Detectives and was "captured" by the Peacekeepers, that he would still work behind the scenes to help Yomi.

Or even use another disguise so he could still help Amaterasu Corporation out while in sight of the Master Detectives.

Imagine having to deal with Aide during the game. Having to deal with the consequences of keeping him alive.

Okay okay okay imma talk about something

Redacted ramble number 45 go!!!!!

The potential argument as to why shipping Asher and David is bad could be "yes, Asher and David have shown to be very close in a way regular friendships aren't, literally being "more than a promise " and "two sides of the same coin" and all the other other stuff we've been told, but why can't that be platonic? Why can't we assume that even in a world where they don't already have their own mates that kinda thing couldn't possibly be platonic ? As a society we always assume that if two people that aren't related become closer than your average friendship it automatically means that it has to be romantic, that they then have to start dating, move in together, get married and have children. But Asher and David very well could have all that closeness and still be just best friends."

And to that I would usually say that well, shipping is done for fun. There doesn't have to be rhyme or reason to it. Most people who ship them (at least I think) are able to comprehend the idea that Asher and David could be that close and still consider themselves best friends and not lovers because that is the reality of the series.

But then I thought no- I - uh -NO!!

Because hhejjsjesjsuj EVERY single interaction that implies closeness IS FUCKIN FULL of sextual tension like no joke with the scene in the wedding where David fixes Asher's tie I was actually wondering if they were gonna start making out or somth

I can't fuckin say that their relationship is inherently romantic cuz that would be a lie but LIKE hdkdndmdhjfjj their relationship is so much closer to romance than your average very VERY close friendship

To paint you a picture Milo is also a person that is very very close to David and Asher

Sure, maybe not as much to them as they are to each other, Milo met them later in life, he was never their roommate or David's main support while he was grieving his father's death but they're still very close

Yesterday I read a fic about all three of them as a polycule and it's just felt...wrong

I guess if there are any wolf boys polycule lovers rn I'm sorry but having Milo in there felt wrong in a way I cannot describe

And the imperium AU.....the IMPERIUM AU

The existence of the imperium au inherently implies that if Asher and David didn't meet their mates they would be together romantically. THERE IS A NON CANON YET OFFICIAL AU WHERE THEY WERE LOVERS FOR LIFE SO CLOSE THAT WHEN DAVID DIED NOT ONLY DID IT PERMANENTLY CHANGE ASHER BUT LITERALLY A PART OF HIS MAGIC DIED WITH DAVID.

There is nothing in the story that really needed Asher and David to be mates, so much so that in the original Imperium AU episode Erik had no plans for them to have been lovers until he made the cataclysm sequel it's literally just because Erik wanted to

SO IF the implication is that if they didn't meet their mates they would've have been lovers then you CANNOT judge people for imagining that scenario where it's not in an imperialistic world where one of them ends up dying

Also I can't even say that it's because they didn't meet their mates because although David obviously didn't meet Angel because they were engaged(?) to the king imperial Asher I'm pretty sure meets Baabe around the same time that he meets them in the prime universe so like?????

In conclusion If Erik ships them then you cannot blame me for doing the same thing!!

You have successfully made me care more about the Fooliverse than ANY canon storyline you've currently got going on rn (Except for Hush and Vega, I'm still very invested in that). Forget the Balance, forget Sovereign State, forget the currently kinda stagnant DAMN storyline, I need more Fooliverse Lore! (Note: mildly hyperbolic, I do want Erik to push major storylines, but with the new schedule they're gonna take ages)

Like each character we've gotten so far have been so fun, but with them comes so many questions about the universe around them. For example (this is your final chance to escape, its a long one):

What's the rest of the DAMN crew like? Are they all complete opposites of their canon counterparts, and if not what stays the same. Gavin although quiet and submissive, still very much enjoys sex and partaking in it when he wants like in canon. So what about the others? Is Huxley less friendly in this AU, is he rude or just an actual loner that gave up on making real friends? Is he smarter or still a bit goofy? What about Lasko and Damien, what are their differences? Is Damien a member of staff or is Lasko a really extroverted student? Where's Kody in all this? Is he still a mild extremist or is he actually a cool dude? Maybe he's a jock unlike Huxley??? Like I'M SO INVESTED!

What's going on with the rest of the Rebaine Clan? Where was Marie when Milo's dad drunk himself to death and Milo got lost in the system? Was she an absent mother or was she just not related to Milo at all? Is she in the Rebaine Clan or is she the Queen of a Clan of her own? Where. Are. The Solaires?!?! I have to know if Vincent is still a human who survived The Surge and is just living life, or never got on in the first place. Did he ever meet Lovely, did he die on The Surge and not get saved? Was he born a Vamp, turned by William still, or someone else? Is William a minor Duke or something or still a King but not as important? What about being one of those High Council Vamps Milo mentioned? Is he even around? We know Porter is, like did Demetri save him, get Porter indebted to him, or was Porter born a Vamp and just joined the Clan??? And how close is the Clans relationship with the Talbot Pack. Like yeah their friends of the Clan, but to the same level as in canon, or more? Or less? We know Asher is more serious in this AU being the Alpha, so what's his relationship with Milo??? Are they close friends, or reluctant allies on a personal level? IS MILO STILL SHORT?!?! These are the questions we need answered

James we know is a stoner and that he doesn't see himself as a good person. Is he still part of ETS, doing stuff that doesn't sit well with him to the point he smokes to get away? Does he even have a job currently? Why does he feel like he's not a good/kind person? What did he do? Maybe it's just his personality this AU... But if James isn't part of ETS and Anton is in the Pack, who's running Project Meridian? Is the project even needed, cause if the Miridian is OK in this AU, maybe the company that would do it is just sticking to normal science projects (whatever that means). Where's Marcus in all this, is he still a weirdo, but in a different font? Maybe he's just a dude too, living life, or maybe Asset is just a person and they actual love Marcus and they live together with no issues... GOD this is so unfair that I don't know 😫

And more on Anton, we know he is a member of the Talbot Pack. It's cute he's so fun and carefree, not wondering when he'll see his Love again. He's flourishing in the Talbot Pack! I'm guessing he's just an ordinary member, but is he part of security (if the Pack still does that) or does he do his own thing. Maybe he's a stay-at-home partner, I wonder if he's still responsible somewhat to maintain the house easily or if he's completely a menace on that front.

What. Happened. To. Guy??? Cause why's my Guy so depressed? Is he still sharing an apartment with Mikayla, but Honey isn't there, so its sapping him of all his happiness? Did he confess but Honey was like "nah" and he's completely defeated in life. Maybe Guy tried to do more with his writing degree but it's not working out and him delivering pizza on the size is really knocking his motivation? What if he's just like that and things are a-ok overall. Maybe he barely reacted to Anton' wolf for cause he knows about magic (accidently or not) and is completely disillusioned about life cause "why are things still shit if magic exists" so he just doesn't care??? You can't leave me hanging like this Erik!!!

More on the Pack, DAVID IS OPENLY CALLED DAVEY! First, that's so fucking cute as hell, but I gotta know is it an inside joke, did Angel push for this, or maybe is naturally evolved and David doesn't mind anyone calling him that. Curious to see which one it is. We at least know based on his personality he's not highly likely to hate on it. Secondly, HIS DAD'S ALIVE (and seems to call his son for tech help lol). That's so sweet! ☺️ Shows how different he would be with his dad still around. And finally, damn he's such a sweetheart, and Angel is still a menace but a grumpy one instead. Its hot how he wants them to take the lead, begs for it even.

Overall love how cute he is in this, makes me question what his dynamic would be interacting with Milo in this universe. In fact, I wanna see more of his and Asher's best friend relationship in this AU. With their personalities, I feel like it would be really chill. Anyway, who is the Beta? It's not Davey and it doesn't seem to be Anton, so who is it? Maybe, it actually is Darlin like some people have been theorising. (Oh god Where's Sam in all this???) Or maybe Christian, which also makes me guess what the dynamic between him and Asher is like. Maybe it's not so different to his canon interactions with Alpha David.

And a side note, Alpha Asher just can't catch a break, it's like being the Alpha of this Pack curses you to be gruff and broody no matter what universe it happens in. At least no one close to him has actually died or something like in The Imperium. Unless if one or both of his parents died for him to become a grumpy Alpha!!! Who knows, its up for headcannon to decide. Mildly bummed out that we don't get a full vid or even an Asher cameo in this AU. A few references on his seemingly responsible lifestyle and kinda gruff character by other people is not enough. GIVE ME MORE OF THE FOOLIVERSE PUPPY!!! (Respectfully)

If you got to the end I sincerely apologise, you shouldn't have done that, but know you know the thoughts that have plagued my brain about this AU. Whilst there were some lighthearted demands in there just know they were all made in good faith and is just an indicator of how much I've enjoyed this AU. Its honestly been so fun and I hope it gets a comeback in some way.

Now it's time to bet on who the BAs gonna be about next month!
