Good Omens graphic novel update: June 2024
Welcome to the June update. A lot of behind the scenes work at the moment but we're grabbing the travel sweets, popping in the Bentley and hitting the road. More on that below.
Admin
Ongoing reminder that the project FAQ can be found here.
I pledged using my Apple ID, or no longer use the address my pledge is attached to, or I cannot work out what email address my pledge is connected to. What should I do? Please contact us via your Kickstarter account where the pledge is connected; we will be able to see on our system which address it is. If it's one you have access to, great! The FAQ has information on how to resend your invite link to access the PledgeManager. If it's one you are not able to access, then you can let us know which email is preferred and we can update this on the system, which will automatically send a new invite.
Events
We've had a lot of queries about when the Good Omens team will be attending events more formally, after some Aziraphale and Crowley spotting at conventions we'd been to previously. Well, we're excited to confirm the first: Good Omens HQ will be at ACME Comic Con in Glasgow, Scotland this September.
Tumblr media
We'll be bringing the actual-real-life-home-to-Crowley-and-his-plants Bentley from Season 2 of Good Omens, the first time the car has been made available publicly for fans to come see and get photos with, ahead of its journey back to the set and the start of Season 3 filming.
We also see Quelin Sepulveda, aka Muriel, has been announced for the event for some additional ineffable joy.
You can get your tickets for ACME Comic Con here. We hope to see some of you there.
Tumblr media
While we won't be rocking up with the Bentley to this next one, we want to let you know about Ineffable Con which, though sold out in person, is also taking place virtually in July. The fan-run event hosts great panels, auctions and more, with money raised going to Alzheimer’s Research UK, in memory of Sir Terry Pratchett.
Where next? We have - not an exaggeration - a list of about 200 events somewhere from when we asked fans this on Instagram and while we can't promise quite that amount of convention attendance, we're certainly looking to do some more things in future with Good Omens at large. Watch this space.
Good Omens items...
This month has largely seen prototypes and samples for the wider Good Omens merch store arriving, and while we can't share those yet, we are certainly excited to see more fan product suggestions coming to life. That does, however, leave our public item updates a little slim on the ground.
To make up for that, here's some new panels from Colleen:
Tumblr media
Also known as, "What could possibly go wrong?" And:
Tumblr media
Also known as, "Well why don't you ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇!@#▇" or words to that effect, we'd imagine.
Update from Colleen
Following such a positive response to Colleen's piece last month, bringing you behind the scenes into making the Good Omens graphic novel, we are delighted to say that she has agreed to write something for our updates going forward! For June, she's going more in depth into the process of flatting and the technicalities of colouring on screen vs print. Over to you, Colleen.
---
I mentioned the other month that I use a flatter to help me with technical work on GOOD OMENS, and here is a great example.
This is my original, hand drawn line art.
Tumblr media
And this is the flatting file which was created using the MultiFill computer program.
Tumblr media
It will put your eyes out.
The raw image above demonstrates how the color art lines up solidly under the line art. If it doesn't do that, you get a weird phenomenon in print called ghosting, a tiny little line of white around each segment of color. I had this issue on one major project and ended up redoing every single color file after I got a look at the first printing. Nearly two weeks of work.
The same image with the line art on top.
Tumblr media
The layer order looks like this.
Tumblr media
Background copy is the clean, line art layer.
I scan the art at 600 dpi, then make the blacks pure black, the whites pure white. Then I convert back to greyscale, then RGB, then duplicate the layer. Then I delete the white on the upper layer so the line art layer is transparent but the blacks on that layer are not.
If you have blacks on a layer that has been multiplied, you can see slight color through those blacks. You want pure black.
The lower layer is where I use the MultiFill program to create the digital flats. First you use MultiFill to drop in the random colors, then the companion plug-in Flatter Pro to make those colors seal under the black lines.
This probably sounds like a silly thing to worry about, but if the flat colors don’t line up perfectly under the black line art, you get the dreaded ghosting I mentioned. You can see it below in this image. It’s a tiny little white line that will appear around the black lines and color areas.
Tumblr media
This drives me nuts and is an absolute nightmare to fix.
It’s a very common problem, especially for people who work for web and don’t anticipate the problems going from web to print.
What looks great on your computer can cause big problems in print.
From here, my flatter Jul Mae Kristoffer, who is way over in the Philippines, does flatting that is more in keeping with the areas of color I want to isolate. As you see on Layer 1.
Tumblr media
But again, this is still pretty ugly, and not what I would use for final color. Flatting is a technical issue, not a creative one, though in some cases a flatter will make choices you may use. Most of the time they don't.
Here is my final color page.
Tumblr media
Sometimes my MultiFill flats are so wonky I have a hard time getting my brain to snap out of what I see before me. If I get stuck, it's a good idea to just pick at it and come back to it later.
If it really, really bothers me, I’ll take the MultiFill flatter layer and desaturate the color so it doesn’t poke my eyes out.
Here’s an example. The digital flat file.
Tumblr media
The desaturated flat file that doesn’t make me want to poke my eyes out.
Tumblr media
And the final color.
Tumblr media
Sometimes I just put in a solid white layer so I don’t see the flats at all. Flatting is there to allow you to easily pick spots to color in, and doesn’t usually appear in the final work.
Sometimes I want to create my colors using transparent color over a white ground, which is more delicate in the final.
Here’s an example from Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. I also selected all black line art here and converted it to sepia to give it a vintage look. Except for the fairies. They’re green.
Tumblr media
A colorist must also consider color settings.
Different clients can have different requirements. I find these color settings, which I got from the Hi-Fi Studio, to be pretty solid. I use them as my default for all my projects unless otherwise requested. If your publisher has other settings, they’ll usually send you a csf file which you can upload to Photoshop. The program will save your files and you can just switch between them as you need them.
Tumblr media
This tells the printer things about the paper and the spread of the ink you will use. That’s what dot gain means - it makes printed color look darker than intended, so you set up your files to account for it.
When you hover your pointer over each box, it will tell you what each setting is supposed to accomplish.
Another really important thing to consider when coloring comics is color range.
I’m coloring this book in RGB range, but for print you use CMYK.
I’m about to confuse the heck out of some people with this post, I’m afraid. But here we go.
Here is this shot in RGB color setting.
Tumblr media
And here is the same page calibrated for print in CMYK.
Tumblr media
The biggest shift is in the reds. Print cannot match those reds.
You may not see much difference here, but it’s the sort of thing that drives artists crazy.
A computer should be perfect for conveying exactly what you want, right? It's all just 0's and 1's, binary information, and that information should be the same from one computer to the next?
Nope. Not even close.
First off, computer monitors must be calibrated. You can use a computer program or a tool that measures the color on your computer screen and then adjusts the color to an industry standard.
Have you ever been in an electronics shop where a bunch of TV shows were on display, all of them playing the same show, and have you noticed how different the color was from one TV to the next?
It's like that.
I freely admit I don't pay a whole lot of attention to calibration, but if I were a professional photographer I would. I'd have a little spectrometer attached to my screen and software would adjust my monitor to the best possible standard range. As it is, I just use the default setting on my computer and hope for the best.
If your monitor is properly calibrated and your art is shown on another monitor that is properly calibrated, the art will look almost identical from one monitor to the next.
YAY!
But from one monitor to the next, that's about where the resemblance ends.
Colors are calibrated to something called RGB, or Red, Green, Blue.
All colors come from a mix of red green and blue. At their greatest intensity, all the colors in the spectrum together become pure white light.
This is why RGB is called ADDITIVE color, because you ADD colors from the spectrum to get ALL colors, and all colors create the entirety of the rainbow, and pure white light.
Your computer monitor, your phone, your television, all images are created via light using RGB, a gamut that covers all possible colors that can be created.
That's a lot.
And that's why some of the colors you see on your TV or phone are so deep and intense.
For the widest possible range of color and intensity, you use RGB.
Unfortunately, there is what you can create with light, and then there is what you can create with pigment or ink. And that is why printing what you see on your computer almost never looks exactly like what you see in a book.
Tumblr media
For printing, you must use a color setting known as CMYK. This stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key/Black.
In printing, the pure blue is actually Cyan and the pure red is actually Magenta.
CMYK color range is not created by addition, but by SUBTRACTION. In order to get the color you want, you reduce the percentage of one of the four colors for ink mixing. Mixing all colors, instead of giving you white, gives you black.
The gamut of CMYK is limited to what can be created with ink.
You've probably heard the term four color press? This is what that means. Four colors, with each color of ink run over the paper on rollers which, combined in varying layers of opacity, create all the printing colors you see.
But remember, what you see on your computer monitor and what CMYK gamut can handle are two different things.
Now, I’ve been really careful with the color settings on Good Omens, so there haven’t been any big surprises, but let me show you a snippet of a project I did for the French fashion house Balmain.
The RGB version:
Tumblr media
And then this shot after it was converted to a CMYK file for print.
Tumblr media
That's a pretty big difference.
Now, you see this shift mostly with vibrant colors, such as that pink there. But other colors hardly changed at all, right?
That's because this issue is about range of color. CMYK and RGB occupy a shared range which you can see demonstrated by this graphic I got from Wikipedia.
Tumblr media
The graphic shows the RGB ranges supported by various digital formats. SWOP CMYK is the most common range my publishers use. Note that the bounding box line shared by the RGB and SWOP CMYK formats shares about half the range space. So whatever RGB colors you use that are outside that range will be digitally converted to the smaller SWOP CMYK range.
And you may not like what you end up with.
As you can see, some of the most ethereal and intense colors get lost outside of the SWOP CMYK boundary.
A look at the Dark Horse Comics color settings in Photoshop. Theoretically, this information should prevent your art from looking like mud on publication.
Tumblr media
Now, after I just told you the dangers of coloring in RGB then converting to CMYK for print, I tell you I am coloring Good Omens in RGB anyway. There’s a couple of reasons for this.
Remember, RGB give you a greater range of color, so it can be to your advantage to preserve your original files using a format that gives you the greatest range.
Again, here is the unaltered file.
Tumblr media
You can see what the CMYK result will be simply by clicking the Proof Colors button here. This will show you how the art will convert.
Tumblr media
And the Gamut Warning will show you which colors are out of gamut range for print.
Tumblr media
The intensity of that magenta and that purple in the top right are not going to print true.
This is how it will look in final.
Tumblr media
So even if you do what you think is perfect color on screen, there is no way it can perfectly convert to print. Almost everything will involve a little bit of compromise.
Even though you have to consider the color shift issues, preserving your files in RGB gives you greater wiggle room, especially if you get lucky someday and get to work with a printer who can print in 6 colors. Or maybe some technology you don’t know about will pop up and make printing super glorious. Who knows.
Regardless, you should keep an eye on that gamut and color for CMYK print, while preserving your master files in RGB.
Until next time.

Threads, Meta's new social media app, has signed up 100 million new users less than a week since its launch last Wednesday, making it the fastest-growing app in history.
Like other social media apps, users probably barely scanned − or skipped − the terms and conditions for what information Threads can collect, share and sell about them.
Meta probably already had a lot of information about users because Threads is built upon its Instagram platform.
Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.
So how much does Threads already know about you, and what can it do with that data? Here are a few reasons to be concerned about your privacy.
What information does Threads collect?
Social media platforms monetize user data by selling relevant ads based on your location and activity, but, along with the usual app privacy requests like browsing history and location data, Threads also asks for financial information, health and fitness data, diagnostics and a nefarious-sounding "sensitive info."
Many users have voiced concern over Threads for its 14-point list of data permissions you're granting Meta to use the app. Twitter, by comparison, has 10 of these.
"I would say it's at the outer boundaries of what's usually expected, which is to be expected from its connection to Facebook, a brand long known for being especially hungry to take in user data and commercialize it in different ways," says Dan Ackerman, the new editor-in-chief at Gizmodo, a leading technology, science and culture news publication.
Android users can toggle off some of the data requests from the app, while the Apple App Store is "more take-it-or-leave it," Ackerman said.
"It also doesn't help that there's no browser-based fully functional version of Threads right now, and so you have to use the app version," he said.
Meta declined my request for comment and clarification.
Is Threads data collection worse than Twitter?
It's not necessarily malicious, suggests Tim Bajarin, a veteran technology analyst and Chairman of the San Jose, California-based market research firm Creative Strategies. "Users should know this Threads data list is pulled directly from Instagram, and it's all tied to their advertising engine when they start to monetize Threads.
"When you sign off on financial info, for example, they're not looking at your bank statements or anything," Bajarin said.
Rather, Threads collects what you're posting about and liking, where you are, and whether you bought something through a third-party site, app or game you logged into using your connected Facebook/Instagram ID (usually to avoid creating a new password altogether).
Bajarin said users are granting Meta access for future advertising.
"Meta isn't giving you a free app out of the goodness of their heart − they're there to make money, which is mostly from advertising."
Threads can collect and save this information, and the data can also be shared with third-party services that connect to your Threads profile.
Can you deactivate Threads?
Yes, but you cannot delete it without also deleting Instagram, Bajarin said.
"Meta built (Threads) on the Instagram infrastructure, on top of the program itself, and so it would be very difficult to uninstall one and not both – at least the way it's engineered today. ... They could eventually be spun out to be completely separate apps," Bajarin said.
To deactivate (but not delete) your Threads account, Adam Mosseri − the Instagram boss who now spearheads the Threads app – says you can choose to hide your Threads profile and content, delete individual Threads posts and set your profile to private, as reported by USA TODAY contributor Jennifer Jolly.
"Threads is powered by Instagram, so right now it's just one account, but we're looking into a way to delete your Threads account separately,” he posted.
Ackerman said the fact Threads is built on Instagram is actually a boon for Meta and users, "as it's especially easy to sign up for, has no wait list, and is simple to use." But "in order to delete your Threads account after you sign up, you’ll need to delete your Instagram account, as well, which reminds me of the difficulty people had deleting their Facebook accounts in the past, and how there was a lot of fine print about what data Facebook would keep unless you jumped through extra hoops."
Is the Threads app safe?
Threads is asking for more permissions than Twitter, so it boils down to your comfort level.
Though some of the privacy permissions seem ludicrous – granting Threads access to health and activity data and other "sensitive info" on a smartphone just seems wrong – no one is forcing users to install and use Threads or any other social media app that monetizes its free platform by delivering personalized, contextual ads to you.
Threads is available in more than 100 countries, but perhaps it's no surprise it isn't available in the Europe Union just yet: Meta was forced to pay more than $400 million by EU regulators for forcing users to accept targeted ads.
Personally, I am using and enjoying Threads quite a bit but wish there was more clarity about how my data is collected and used. And I'm disappointed Meta declined to clarify things.
I select "Ask not to track" on all iPhone apps to reduce an app's visibility into my web browsing activity, and I have a virtual private network (VPN) on my computer for extra privacy, but perhaps it's true there is nothing truly free in this world – it's just up to each person to decide whether the cost is worth it.

Guide to Generating iOS Certificates and Profile Files for App Development
Introduction: Currently, many companies use H5 frameworks for app development, and among these H5 frameworks, uniapp is the most mature. Therefore, hbuilderx has become the preferred choice for developers. However, packaging an app requires a certificate. So how do we obtain this certificate? Generating an Apple certificate is relatively complex, so here I will focus on the process of generating an iOS certificate.
Currently, many companies use H5 frameworks for app development, and among these H5 frameworks, uniapp is the most mature. Therefore, hbuilderx has become the preferred choice for developers. However, packaging an app requires a certificate. So how do we obtain this certificate?
Generating an Apple certificate is relatively complex, so here I will focus on the process of generating an iOS certificate:
If you don't have an Apple Developer account yet, you need to register for one in the Apple Developer Center. The tutorial for registering an Apple Developer account is as follows: Tutorial for Registering an Apple Developer Account (in Chinese).
Once you have the Apple Developer account, you can follow the steps below to create the certificate.
First, let's create a p12 certificate. The process for creating a p12 certificate is as follows:
1.Log in to the Apple Developer backend and click on the "certificates" menu to enter the certificate management page. Click on the blue plus sign on the right side to start creating a certificate. When creating the certificate, choose the "iOS Distribution Ad Hoc and App Store" type, which includes both real device testing and distribution types (ad hoc for testing, app store for distribution). Please do not choose the "Apple" or "Dev" types of certificates, as they cannot be used for cloud packaging in hbuilderx.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Use the function of generating iOS certificates in Appuploader to create this .p12 file, as shown in the image. After generating the .p12 file, download it to your local computer.
Go back to the Apple Developer Center. The .p12 certificate generated by appuploader will be synchronized back. You can then use appuploader to generate the p12 format Apple certificate. With the above steps, the p12 packing certificate has been generated.
Now, let me teach you how to generate the profile file required for packaging:
1.Enter the Apple Developer Center and click on "Identifiers" to create an app ID (package name). After creating it, it should look like the image below. Note that the format of the package name is typically in the format of a Java package name: com.xxxxxx.yyy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4.During the creation of the profile file, it will ask us to choose the app ID and cer certificate. Be careful not to select the wrong ones, as shown in the two images.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Appuploader home -- A tool improve iOS development efficiency such as submitting IPA to App Store and managing iOS certificates.
Use the function of generating the description file in Appuploader to create this profile file, as shown in the image. After generating the description file, download it to your local computer.

I fulfilled a dream of mine since I was 12 years old: I went to a Love Live! Idol concert! These concerts are directly tied to the anime, Love Live! There’s 1: Love Live! 2: Love Live! Sunshine! 3: Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, and 4: Love Live! Superstars!
I had the chance to see the most recent group: Liella! (You have to include the exclamation point it is practically part of their title.) They are from the Love Live! Superstar! Anime.
There are 9 girls in Liella!, though when they started up in 2021 there was only 5 girls (I was in a cosplay group for it.) Having only been around since 2021, meaning they started up after Covid, it was extremely impressive to me that this was there 3rd tour as an idol group.
To start, getting the tickets to this show was EXTRAORDINARILY DIFFICULT. If I didn’t have several friends who are pretty adept at Japanese around me, I simply would not have been able to get these tickets. Filling out the online form was impossible if you allowed Google to translate the page cause it screwed up the software and did not allow you to input things like your name. Oh my god, the name section. They did not like my foreign name. I had to scramble to figure out how to write my name in Hirigana, Katakana, AND Kanji. All of which were rejected several times so I honestly have no idea what name they have for me on file now since it is probably not even close to my actual name. Once I finally got passed just the name and address section, I was prompted to input my credit card. Fine and good, I have a Travel credit card! . . . Rejected. Try a different card. Rejected. FINE. Luckily there was a selection to get a little QR code and pay for the ticket at a conbini (I chose 7/11, since it was right next door to the university.) I should also note the ticket was pretty expensive at ¥10,000 plus a ¥550 fee. So I’m total around $90. Hell, I was willing to pay way more if I needed to.
After what felt like hours (because it WAS hours), I got the alert that I had successfully reserved a ticket. And not going to lie, I teared up and screamed and jumped around like a crazy person. Love Live! Concerts were a pipe dream for me, something I genuinely never thought I would be able to experience in person (mostly because they refuse to go to the US at ALL) especially since these concerts sell out months in advance. The fact that I was able to get a ticket a WEEK before the concert is still mind boggling.
Okay so I’m in. Here we go! Or! So I thought! Turns out you cannot download the ticket normally, you have to get a specific app for it. And guess what? If you don’t have a Japanese Apple ID, then you simply cannot get the app. So I had to create a whole new Apple ID just to view my ticket. Infuriating.
Okay NOW let’s go. The concert was about an hour away from my dorm by train, and the concert started at … 5:30 in the afternoon. Very odd for me, who is used to concerts not starting until closer to 7 or 8 or later, but in Japan concerts start early cause the trains close early. Fair enough. After agonizing all week over what to wear I finally decide on an adorable butterfly dress my best friend and lovely roommate Ash made for me.
Tumblr media
Since I did not know Japanese concert etiquette, I showed up at the venue (The Musashino Sports Arena) at around 4, to give myself some time to orient myself with the space. Well as it turns out, everyone has gotten there probably HOURS prior. People were queued up down every staircase and walkway I could see, and all of the merchandise was sold out (much to my dismay). I was not surprised to see most of the fans present were men, though I will admit I was a bit disappointed. But the women who did come showed up and showed Out! All of them were dressed adorably, so I was very thankful of the dress I chose to wear.
Getting into the venue was a whole different beast. Thank goodness for a Taiwanese foreigner who spoke English and found me, because without him I don’t know if I would have made it inside. As it turns out, the ticket I purchased looked wildly different than everyone else’s. Everyone around me had a special page for an ID confirmation . . . I did not. The lovely young man helped usher a worker over and I was shepherded away though the crowds to more workers, who spoke quickly to each other and looked at my phone and eventually just .. let me in. I’m sure it was because my ticket was valid but there’s a piece of me that wonders if it’s because I just looked so scared.
Once inside it was pretty easy to find my seat (in the WAY top in the WAY back, cause I probably got one of the last tickets available). One quick thing I noted: there were signs everywhere saying :
NO PHOTOS
No cheering
No dancing
Pretty much no making a ruckus…at a concert. As a person who goes to concerts to scream sing, this was very disconcerting. So I snuck a few quick photos before the concert began, and once the concert actually started, there were attendants at the top and bottom of EVERY aisle, watching to make sure you didn’t take any photos. It was kinda insane.

There were my super sneaky before show photos. The stage was remarkable: HUGE and two pieces (the main stage and a catwalk to a center circular stage.) and surrounded by massive LED screens that displayed all sorts of stuff, like the idols and their corresponding symbols, or pulsing all sorts of lights and colors, showing clips from the anime … it was quite the spectacle.
Where I was (you know, way top way back), everyone in my section would remain standing for as long as the girls were performing, then as soon as they stepped off stage and an interlude would play (clips from the anime) they would sit back and catch their breath. I guess ? Nobody was cheering. No one was singing. The most noise people made was laughing at certain points and clapping quite politely. It was really unnerving. What they DID do, however, was every audience member (I mean…except me and the girl next to me) had a light blade, which glowed different colors depending on who was singing or whatever idol the holder was a fan of. I managed to get one after the concert;
Tumblr media
This was the only thing people in the audience would do, flash their light blades in different colors and kind of copy the dance moves the idols would do, as much as you could with just your arms. It was SO bizarre for me. Since I didn’t have a light blade, I opted for sort of…fistpumping along with everyone’s light blades. Well it wasn’t all a busy, since I had my Apple Watch on that has a flashlight feature. Some of the idols actually seemed to notice this when they were parading around the arena in their special carts: I definitely got waved to and specifically pointed at a few times. It might be because I was the only white person there, but I’ll take it.
I cried a lot. Like , a LOT. The idols came on stage and I could not stop hiccuping and crying for the first 20 minutes. Luckily for me, the concert lasted for 3 HOURS. The girls had 7 costume changes! (7!!!!! What!!!)
I wish I could have taken photos or videos, this show was so visually spectacular. It fulfilled all of my little Idol heart dreams, and I cannot even express how happy I was the entire concert. It definitely set in stone how much I WISH THE US HAD IDOLS CAUSE I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO BE AN IDOL LIKE THEM.
For now, I will find that fulfillment in the Idol Cosplay group I am in (we do dance covers of the Love Live! Idol songs in full cosplay. It’s super fun. I’ll include a picture of us in cosplay at the bottom 💕 I’m in the back in the grey wig with the blue skirt)

What is  duck type in python ?
Tumblr media
Python is a multi-pattern language, object-oriented programming and structured oriented programming language. Python is developed by Guido Van Rossum in February 1991. The only and only purpose of Python is to code readability which allows programmers to express concepts within fewer lines of code.
Duck typing is a concept which is only related to dynamic typing in which the type or the class of an object which is less important as compare to methods while defining. When we use duck typing, we do not check types at all. But we have to check for the presence of a given method or attribute as described.
A term which is commonly relates to dynamically typed programming languages and polymorphism concept. The idea behind using the Duck principle is that the code itself does not care about whether an object is a duck, but instead it does only care about whether it quacks.
The main aim of Duck typing is  to design such a class to know the desired behaviour’s without implementing the protocol, sub classing, interface, or abstract base classes.
Example -1
class FruitJuice:
         def execute(self):
         print('Mango')
         print('Apple')
         print('Grapes')
         print('Chickoo')
class Juice:
         def code(self, ide):
         ide.execute()
         ide  = FruitJuice ()
         desk = Juice ()
         desk.code(ide)
Output:
        Mango
        Apple
         Grapes
         Chickoo
In the above code, we have created a FruitJuice class that has to execute() method. In the Juice-class, we have passed the ide as an argument in the code(). An ide is an object of FruitJuice class. With the help of ide, we called the execute() method of FruitJuice class.
Example -2
class Pigeon:
   def fly(self):
         print("I am a Pigeon and I can fly.”)
 class Eagle:
     def fly(self):
         print("I am a Eagle and I can fly.”)
  class Dog:
     def walk(self):
         print("I am a Dog I can walk only but  I can’t fly.”)
  def bird_flying(birds):
     birds.fly()
We pass the three animals and ask each of them to fly. While Pigeon and Eagle can fly, the but Dog cannot fly and therefore throws an error.
fly(Pigeon())
fly (Eagle ())
fly(Dog())
In above example fly(Dog()) will throw an error to overcome that problem Duck type is introduced in Python.
Duck typing is just a perfect example of dynamic typing in Python which arranges related functionality over specific data types as per requirement.
At TCCI Coaching Institute we provide Python development training as per student’s convenience.

After all of this for Sam and Catriona, I still pray all the time for them to unite off screen. They will most certainly get lost in each other. Must we imagine their together films. Us fans will watch all of them. And the we will see them together when they go up for their academy awards.
Hi, I cannot use this I pad, and I don’t know the jargon of these sites. I’m 70 yrs and counting. I have trouble remembering what I ate last night.

See Amazing iOS 17.3 Features Today!
Tumblr media
Apple iOS 17.3 Features Together with collaborative Apple Music playlists, stolen device protection, and a few other intriguing improvements, Apple today announced iOS 17.3 Features, a significant upgrade to the iOS operating system.
Protection Against Stolen Devices There were press stories earlier this year of a string of iPhone robberies in which the perpetrator spied on a victim to figure out the passcode before stealing the device, emptying bank accounts, taking passwords, and leaving the iPhone untraceable.
Apple responded by introducing Stolen Device Protection in iOS 17.3 to increase security. Stolen Device Protection guards against complete disaster in the unlikely event that a thief manages to get both your password and your iPhone. When Stolen Device Protection is on, biometric authentication using Face ID or Touch ID is required in order to erase material, access passwords in iCloud Keychain, switch off Lost Mode, and make purchases in Safari.
Changes to an Apple ID password, for example, need Face ID and have a one-hour security lag. Thus, in the event that you attempted to modify your Apple ID login credentials, you would have to first authenticate using Face ID and then wait for an hour for the password to be changed. When you’re in a secure environment, like your home or place of employment, these wait times are not necessary.
When Stolen Device Protection is turned on, the following activities need biometric authentication:
Using or seeing passkeys or passwords kept in iCloud Keychain Requesting a new Apple Card Looking at a simulated ‌Apple Card‌ Disabling Lost Mode Deleting all data and configurations Making specific Wallet purchases related to Apple Cash and Savings Using credit cards that are stored in Safari Setting up a new gadget with your iPhone You cannot use a passcode to avoid using Face ID or Touch ID since these activities do not have a passcode backup. The following actions have a one-hour security delay and need biometric authentication:
Changing the password for your Apple ID Changing some Apple ID account security settings, such as a trusted device, trusted phone number, recovery key, or recovery contact addition or deletion Changing the passcode on your iPhone Including or eliminating Touch ID or Face ID‌ Disabling Find My Disabling Protection Against Stolen Devices All iPhones running iOS 17 that is, the iPhone XS and later models can use stolen device protection. Toggle on Stolen Device Protection in the Settings app by selecting Face ID & Passcode. This is an opt-in function.
Cooperative playlists on Apple Music With iOS 17.3 Features, Apple debuted collaborative Apple Music playlists. This feature allows you to take any playlist you already have or make a new one, and then invite other people to contribute songs and listen to the playlist. Friends, relatives, and other individuals who like the same music as you may be invited, and there doesn’t seem to be a limit on the number of contributors.
Go to a playlist in the Apple Music app, then touch on the person symbol to use the collaboration function. Anyone who is invited may see the playlist, and you will be able to create a link to share with others. Every new member has the option to have their participation approved; if this is left unchecked, anybody with the link may join.
The playlist creator retains the ability to delete users, remove tracks, and disable cooperation at will.
Teamwork Playlist Emoji Responses Additionally, Apple included a useful emoji response tool in iOS 17.3 that lets users add an emoji to any music that’s currently playing to convey their emotions. A heart and a thumbs up are among the common fast access emoji selections; however, any emoji may be added by using the “+” button.
Emoji responses that have been contributed by collaborators to a playlist come to life when the music starts to play while you’re listening to it.
AirPlay 2 in Accommodations Some hotels now let guests to stream media straight to an AirPlay-capable hotel from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The purpose of this function is to enable you to view material on streaming services without requiring you to enter your credentials to log in to a hotel TV.
Apple Insurance The AppleCare and Warranty section of the Settings app, located under General, shows the coverage provided by AppleCare for all devices that are logged in with your Apple ID.
Identification of Crash The Crash Detection function on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models has been substantially enhanced by Apple. Apple has been adjusting collision Detection all the time to stop it from turning on when doing things that move in a way that resembles an automobile collision.
TV Series and Film Wish Lists Apple discontinued enabling TV series and movies to be bought via the iTunes Store app with iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2. Wishlists on the iTunes Store were sadly lost during the move, but they are again available.
We’ve included everything new in the iOS 17.3 features release in one guide.
Subscribe to the utubetrends for more videos.
With the iOS 17.3 Features and iPadOS 17.3 upgrades, users who were disappointed about losing their meticulously maintained wishlists may now access that data once again. To enable customers to transfer their watch lists for movies and TV shows, Apple has introduced a new “Go to Wish List” option.

disclaimer: i am NEW to the sonic rpc. i've no clue who are the bad apples and or what's what. so, i ask that folks refrain for giving me grief in my inbox if i'm found interacting with someone that was proven to be problematic [ i.e. racism.]. if the issue was just squabbling between old friends and it fell apart... please, leave me out of it and leave me to my chili dogs. with that said...
001. you are the master curators of your own safe space. do what thou wilt. if you do not like antagonistic dynamics, this is not the muse for you. if you cannot stand the thought of being unable to tone police a thirty-year-old man, i am not the ideal writing partner for you. if generally, low-activity blogs do not suit your preferences, please feel free to block me. i have no personal issues with anyone, so do not inquire about me to a mutual or personally contact me regarding what you may perceive as '"beef". many of us say this until we're blue in the face, but yes, all i care about is writing and creating connections with great writers.
002. as stated above, i exclusively portray classic sonic. his voice claim is jaleel white, as i grew up watching the 1993 and always was in love with the stylistic choice to have him short & pudgy ( this does NOT mean i HATE modern sonic. i'm not interested in discourse over the franchise. ). that I said, his age is verse dependent. please, don't infantilize him. i do not ( nor do i ever. ) strictly portray a muse at their given age in the media, and my sonic's maturity will be explored throughout the course of his history with other muses on this blog.
003. shipping is fine with me. my potential partner(s) and i both reserve the right to drop it, if it fails to work out for any reason. as for nsfw, I don't mind sending in prompts, but i more than likely won't write it on the blog. it'll either be reserved for some nsft blog or on discord. i'm not the most secure in writing that content.
004. i'm open to exchanging discords with people, for quicker replies, but please don't harass me for replies.
005. i feel like i do best with freestyling ( or writing without plot. but, i won't deny someone the opportunity to discuss an interesting plot with me. just to let you know, i'm slow on dm and discord at times.

Fingerprint to Face Recognition: Biometric Evolution in Mobile Security
Biometric authentication in mobile app development has become an increasingly common feature in mobile devices, providing users with secure access to their smartphones and tablets through unique biological traits like fingerprints and facial scans.
In this blog, we will examine the evolution of biometrics in mobile security, from early fingerprint scanners to the facial recognition systems available today.
Let’s analyze the technology powering these innovations, their security implications, and what web and mobile app development future looks like for biometric mobile security.
The Rise of Fingerprint Scanning
Fingerprint scanning marked a major milestone in biometric security in mobile app development for devices. In 2013, the iPhone 5S became the first major smartphone to implement a fingerprint scanner with Apple's Touch ID system, allowing users to unlock their phone and authorize app purchases. This was a major upgrade from password-only protection and the use of 4-6 digit PIN codes.
Touch ID was powered by advanced capacitive sensors built into the home button, capable of scanning sub-epidermal skin layers to detect fingerprint patterns. The sensor could map users' fingerprints from multiple angles, with the mapping and matching processes handled by a secure enclave chip separate from the main processor. This preserved fingerprint data security.
Following Apple's lead, other mobile brands like Samsung and Google adopted fingerprint authentication. Around 80% of smartphones shipped included a fingerprint scanner, according to research.
The advantages were clear - fingerprint unlocking was faster and more convenient than PINs while also providing robust security.
Facial Recognition Ushers in a New Era
In 2017, Apple took biometrics a step further with Face ID on the iPhone X, replacing Touch ID with sophisticated 3D facial scanning technology. Face ID uses a TrueDepth camera system with an infrared camera, flood illuminator, and dot projector to capture detailed depth maps of the user's face.
This data enables Face ID to create accurate facial models that cannot be fooled by photos, masks, or other spoof attempts. The secure enclave chip handles face data processing and matching, keeping the data away from the main operating system for maximum security.
Other smartphone brands have also adopted advanced 3D facial recognition in recent years, including Android manufacturers like Samsung. However, implementations vary - while Apple's Face ID relies solely on sophisticated 3D scanning, some Android alternatives use 2D facial scanning in conjunction with other authentication factors.
The rise of facial recognition has eliminated the need to actively touch a fingerprint reader in mobile app development, enabling seamless biometric access. And with capabilities like attention detection, Face ID offers enhanced security by confirming user intent before unlocking devices.
Biometrics Provide Convenience and Security
Fingerprint scanning and facial recognition have transformed security in web and mobile app development by making the unlock process both seamless and more secure compared to passwords or PINs.
Some key benefits of biometric authentication include:
-Convenience:Unlocking with a fingerprint or face scan is very fast and does not require remembering codes. This enhances usability in mobile app development.
-Security: Biometrics like fingerprints and detailed facial scans are far more secure than passwords or PINs that can be guessed, copied or observed.
- Difficult to spoof: Modern fingerprint readers and facial recognition systems use advanced hardware and algorithms that make them difficult to bypass with fakes.
-No password reuse: Biometric traits are unique to individuals, so the risks associated with password reuse do not apply.
At the same time, there are some limitations:
-Can't be changed: Unlike passwords, fingerprints and facial details cannot be changed or reset if compromised.
However, mobile OS makers have compensated by making biometric data very secure.
-May not work for all: Fingerprint scanners can struggle with certain conditions affecting finger skin. Face scans may not work optimally for people with very young or aged faces. Accuracy continues to improve however.
Overall though, biometrics have proven to be a major boon for balancing strong security with user convenience in web and mobile app development- a key priority for modern smart devices.
The Future of Biometric Mobile Security
The future looks promising for biometric authentication in mobile app development on devices.
Here are some emerging trends:
Multi-biometric authentication: Using multiple biometric factors like face + fingerprint for enhanced security on a single device.
Improved sensors: Hardware innovations will enable more accurate scanning and facial recognition capabilities.
For example, under-display fingerprint sensors are becoming popular.
Expanded applications: Biometrics will move beyond device unlocking and authenticate digital payments, app access, and device logins.
AI integration: AI will be used to improve biometric accuracy and performance as well as identify sophisticated spoofing attacks.
Standardization: As technologies like FIDO Alliance's WebAuthn gain adoption, biometric authentication will be built into platforms and web browsers rather than proprietary apps.
While passwords may never completely disappear, biometrics in web and mobile app development are poised to become the standard for mobile security going forward.
Both fingerprint and facial recognition offer the optimal combination of ease of use and strong protection that consumers demand.
