i can sympathize with that. when i first formed, i was very much the same way. shame is such a huge part of being a system, it suffuses almost all of our existence sometimes.

but these people who are the hosts friends can be your friends, if you put yourself out there. it's incredibly scary, but it can be really rewarding once you put in the time and efffort to cultivate a separate relationship. and it's okay to make your own friends for yourself as well! someday, you'll feel like you belong with your people.

being a part that isn't the host is so intimidating. . . i front and sometimes i want to speak with people (not often. . . conversation is scary.) but i don't know anyone. these aren't my friends. this isn't my life. i'm just someone passing by.

it's okay if some days you don't feel like a system. it's okay if some days everything's quiet and you're the only one in front and it feels like it was all a dream.

a huge part of how i'm getting over my system denial is saying 'who cares?' if a voice in my head is saying 'you're not actually a system, you're just confused'. who cares if i'm a system? who cares if i'm a singlet? my symptoms are my symptoms, and they're still there whether i label myself as a system or a singlet or whatever else. i don't have to justify my experience to anyone else. if it turns out i'm a system, great. i now know what my symptoms mean. if it turns out im a singlet, also great, i learned more about myself anyway.

i don't have to stress about being one or the other. i can just be me.

you are absolutely not inherently broken if you keep forming new alters. i don't really like to think of things in terms of normal or abnormal, but it's definitely not irregular for systems to split new alters regularly. that being said, try not to worry about what your system looks like in relation to other systems — each system is going to look different! splitting isn't pleasant, but it doesn't make you broken or lesser.

am i inherently broken if we keep forming new alters? i know it happens under stress, and we're just now coming out of a psychotic episode, so it makes sense, but i feel so fake for our system growing. i want nothing more than to be fully integrated. i feel like my healing is getting further away

we like drawing a lot and are working on some did comics that we may post on our blog when we're done with them! other than that we like video games a whole bunch and are obsessed with minecraft and stardew valley. we also like scrapbooking and have a system scrapbook that we add to whenever we can! it gets really hard when we keep on splitting though since it's difficult to keep up with new pages lol.
