wants to be in your skin wrapped around your nervous system and nestled in the wrinkles of your brain ; if this man could glue you to him he would
remembers everything that happened to him and mc when they were lab rats as kids which is probably where his mental health started rapidly declining
Cuddles ! ; he’ll also cuddle you while youre asleep constantly ; doesn’t matter if you’re in his bed, the guest bed or your bed he’ll climb right in and snuggle up
leaves you bowls/plates of fresh fruit and a glass of water on your nightstand
doing backflips if you tell him he can wash your hair for you ; the longer it takes the better
monitors your social media and online presence “You shouldn't post that no one needs to see you naked” “Im wearing a bikini Caleb” “Basically naked”
big on taking photos he wants as many photos together as possible
movie nights and date nights are his shit he’ll alway be down for that ; if you two have a show you watch together he is genuinely hurt if you watch an episode without him
holds your hand even when you don’t want him to ; would quite literally use his evol to hold your hand in place
if you’re sick he's at your bedside 24/7 with medication and home cooked remedies ; will spoon feed you if you let him
uses his body as a wall in large crowds to keep people from bumping into you
will beat the brakes off of anyone who dares to even look at you sideways and when you ask him what he did he’ll lie and smile in your face
PINKY PROMISES ARE LAW
will take you everywhere with him and will also follow you anywhere ; he’d stand guard outside of the bathroom stall if he could
although he does have some bolts rattling around (because they’re not loose they’re fully free) he will pamper the hell out of you ; he’s running you a bath, rubbing your feet and cooking dinner so you have a relaxed night and warm meal
when you do help him cook he’ll stand behind you and cover your hand with his while he guides your hand with the knife
will hold anything you hand him while he’s on the phone
has an entire closet of all the gifts you’ve ever given him
the type to close the door and immediately lock it if you’re in a room alone with him
hates to argue with you ; he’ll do it, but he regrets it afterwards apologizes profusely later with your favorites foods, sweets, treats and things
has to get a kiss before he leaves ; he’s not leaving without it
the type to wrap your arms around his neck when he goes in for a kiss
loves caging you between his arms and his body at any given chance
has to be touching you in some kind of way
the type to tuck you in every night
loves to give you massages because he loves touching you
[NSFW]
needs you to use your words “tell me how you want it” “don’t cover your mouth” “tell me you missed me” “how much?” “right there or right here? Tell me” “open your mouth” “how much do you love me?” “are you all mine? say it”
records your moans so he can listen to them later
pretty panty lover ; buys you lots of them ; loves to have you model them and you’re getting dicked down if you’re walking around the house in them
takes you anyway he can ; favorite position? ALL OF EM mans brain turns to mush just having his hand on you ; a dom that will punish you, but gives stellar aftercare
loves to tease you by getting you wet and just rubbing his tip over the fabric ; slides the panties to the side instead of taking them off because he loves to see them on you
a vocal moaner and a yapper when he nuts ; nuts inside every time makes him feel like he’s claiming you
Intentionally fails no nut November and says “we’ll try again tomorrow” turns you every way but loose for the entire month
massages your thighs and coochie so he can watch his cum drip out of you
a slurper and moaner when he eats it ; eats the pussy and the ass
puts the colonel hat on you
100% into cnc & somnophilia I will not argue with anyone about this ; not a fan of dacryphilia he hates to see you cry
you have to have a safe word because he gets pussydrunk extremely easily
panty stealer ; keeps a pair in his pocket when he goes to work ; clean or dirty doesn’t matter to him
into primal play would chase you through the woods in the Rina Kent - God of War mask and rearrange your guts right there with pleasure
would get jealous of your vibrator/dildo

ugh the optimus ruining your garden ask makes me wanna be mean to him. just a little 🤏. maybe he's being extra clingy when you're trying to get smth done or he accidentally breaks smth again. so you're scolding him while jerking his spike and he's trying to make a cohesive apology, but it's the 5th time you've made him cum and words are starting to be harder and harder to find. then you can tease him about how someone who's given so many inspirational, articulated speeches to his fellow autobots now can't even sob out a "sorry" :(

thank you primus for the existence of overstimulation and for allowing me to torture my favorite characters with it 🙏

"Really, darling, twice in a row is just too much." You click your tongue a few times.
Your hand moves steadily, gripping and tugging at the swollen but valiantly enduring spike. Your skin, slick with pink transfluid, glides smoothly over the impressive length, maintaining the same irritated rhythm, channeling your frustration caused entirely by Optimus.
"I already explained to you, don’t step on my flowers. And don’t even try to tell me it was an accident. I’m absolutely certain you did it on purpose just to get me to punish you a little."
"A little" is quite the understatement when you’ve forced him to overload multiple times in a row. You’ve completely worn him out. His processor is fried, helm’s insides reduced to mush, leaving him incapable of thinking about anything other than the pleasure flooding his entire frame. How exquisitely stupid and helpless he felt, to the point where he kept pushing his hips into your hand, desperately trying to match the rhythm you set. Syncing his movements with yours, chasing another overload. And then another. And another, if it meant more of your touch and your attention focused solely on him.
"I-I a-am so sowwrhy!" he stammers, barely capable of forming words anymore.
"I don’t know, I just don’t see any remorse on your face, Opti. Are you sure you’re truly sorry?"
With his optics rolled back and his intake hanging wide open, coolant dripping from its corners, all you can read from his expression is that he’s having the time of his life. Not a single trace of guilt, no regret for your poor, trampled flowers.
Which is why you don’t believe the dramatic nodding he’s offering you. Especially not when his spike spasms, already preparing for another overload, even though Optimus doesn’t have any more transfluid left to give you — not even a single drop. That doesn’t stop him from shooting blanks, still thrusting his hips without pause, while you relentlessly and methodically jerk off his hard spike.
"Well? Use your words, darling. Are you sorry?"
"Ah, hah!"
"Moans aren’t words," you sigh, propping your elbow on his overheated thigh and resting your head on your outstretched hand. "Try again."
"Y- ah! Yew... mmMm!"
"Should I stop milking your spike? Would that help you find the words?"
He shakes his head frantically. You can’t help the slightly sadistic smile that creeps onto your lips.
"Then keep trying, sweetheart. I won’t let you go until you properly apologize to me."
"A-ah, so-sowwhry!" he sobs.
Your grip tightens around his spike, your hand firmly pressing against the living metal. He knows he’s being punished; understands that he’s failing to accomplish this one simple task, but he’s no longer capable of forming coherent words — nothing more complex than moans.
"Is that supposed to be an apology?" you scoff, the sharpness in your tone drawing a quick yelp from Optimus.
"Sow-Sowrhy!" he repeats, once again. He tries, programmed to obey your every command, but the result is pitiful and pathetic as he fails, breaking down when he can’t manage even one simple word.
Not when his entire frame is focused solely on chasing the next overload. On your soft hand milking his spike, your elbow digging into his trembling, oversensitive thigh. On your voice, icy and cutting against his spark. On simple, easy-to-understand directives, because anything more complex is far beyond the capacity of his poor, overworked processor right now.
"Oh, Opti. Is that the best you can do?"
"Ah! So-hah!"
"The great Prime, gifted with the talent for composing beautiful, inspiring speeches, and he can’t even string together a single simple apology."
He scrapes his servo against the floor as another empty overload wracks his spent spike. Yet you don’t stop moving your hand, forcing him to prepare for the next one.
This time, he doesn’t even bother trying to use his vocalizer, reduced to mindless whimpering.
"I expected more from you. A full essay on how sorry you are. I thought you’d rise to the challenge. You’re Optimus Prime. Prime! The gift of stirring oratory runs through your circuits!"
"Hah, so-sowwh..."
"And you can’t even manage a simple ‘sorry’?"
"S-sorwh... AH!"
You sigh and subtly slow the pace of your hand on his spike. Playtime is one thing, but you don’t want to accidentally kill him.
Though, knowing his submissive tendencies, he wouldn’t have any objections to dying by your hand.
"Let’s try again. And this time, I want an apology worthy of a Prime."

Too close to the stars, I Never knew somebody like you, somebody~
Now Playing🎼♬ ♪ ♫:
Blue lock boys in: Your Loving Boyfriend Husband who has a soft spot for you
Tumblr media
Characters included: Itoshi Rin, Itoshi Sae, Shoei Barou
There’s less characters so more words, yey :3 (lowercase intentional)
Itoshi rin is a weird guy all things considered. he prides himself in his calm and cool demeanor and refusal to engage in his emotions for the most part, no bachira doesn’t count, he’s a moron. He says this and lives it to a T daily, so it’s always funny to see how fast he forgets to be calm and collected Itoshi rin when you get your hands in his hair. it’s weird to see in action. he hates everything and everyone when he’s practicing, brushing off his teammates and waving off hanging out with them if asked.
“as if id hang out with lukewarm trash.”
he plays mean and harsh and yet always melts into your touch when he gets home, he goes on about how “lukewarm” practice went, the idiocy of his teammates irritating him. he says it bitterly yet with how his face is pressed into your stomach, it sounds more like slow incoherent mumbling into your skin. he hardly notices how his fingers sink into the plush of your legs, kneading like second nature. you nod along but your focus is mainly on how docile he looks while grumbling, his eyelashes fluttering as he struggles to keep awake against your warmth.
some time between highschool and now must’ve given you enough time to soften him out, he doesn’t even know how you got him in the matching onesie. he swore he was still passed out on your bosom, how the hell did you have him posing for silly pictures. to be fair he looked more dazed than anything in the photo so it was hardly a pose. didn’t matter, you were smiling wide so he didn’t question how it looked or where it’d go. (the teasing at practice tomorrow made him slightly regret that)
Itoshi sae didn’t mind indulging your requests, silly as they were indeed. try as he might, no matter how much he steels himself over and swears not to, he caves under your gaze and sweet voice. before he knew it, he was doing everything he just said he wouldn’t because it’s like sacrilege to tell you no. from stupid amusement parks to clay making and running his blood sugar stupid high with sweets that he’ll definitely hear about from his dietitian. speaking of, he’s totally firing that moron; who does that guy think he is telling him not to consume more sweets under his wife’s request?
“unhealthy? try unemployed, you useless pain. my wife says it’s fine, so it is.”
it’s probably worse than he thought. there’s not a thing he does that doesn’t have your name in it. even when you’re nowhere to be seen, you’re his best excuse to leave interaction.
‘meeting be damned, i need my wife more so reschedule.’
‘tell that lady to wait, my wife is calling.’
‘im waiting for my WIFE, yes, im MARRIED.’
if you actually saw it, you’d still be awestruck. he never opens his mouth to tell you about this but everyone you meet knows you. the store workers, his manager, everyone who knows him will know you’re his wife. he’s the kindest person for you, everyone else can wait.
Barou shoei is peak househusband, argue with the wall. everyone sees him as the toxic and red flag type but he’s nothing if not considerate for you. don’t openly point it out, he will deny. he loves his family hard and plenty, so once you’re a part of that such extends to you. his sisters love you, truly and he’s grateful for that, his favorite girls getting along does make him content.
he never bothers just telling you he loves you, it’s easier to see when he interacts with you. actions are better in that regard so it makes sense. he gives you nothing but the best. he’s always cleaning up and such, you never have to worry about it when you come home. AND the laundry while cooking dinner? is there something he can’t do? he grumbles but never complains even when you forget to clean for the millionth time, or accidentally mess up dinner or stain the carpet with some harsh juice. you’re his wife, of course it’s okay to make mistakes. he actually insists on doing all the chores, he claims that it’s only because he does it better but he’s whipped. what man lets his wife do all that work while he lazes? Inadequate
“just worry about your work, don’t even think about a chore. hey! you’re thinking about it, aren’t you?”
a king is nothing if his queen is unhappy. that’s how he justifies it anyway. it almost makes you feel bad with how he works all day at practice then comes home and cleans tirelessly. when you asked his sisters, they assure you that it’s his love language and you’d argue with that but he seems content being so helpful so you leave it be. . a bit of help here and there doesn’t hurt though. don’t let him catch you though, he’ll chastise you back to bed like a mother hen. so maybe no chores, heh.

When I tell you I'm so sick of this.
Yes, yes, Bakugou used to be his bully and all that yadda yadda. Oh my gosh, wow, a bully in the story! How dare such a thing exists!
Okay, stop clutching your pearls. Even Bakugou knew he was a total ass and it's not something he ever got away with like that, let alone he does grow up, so chill.
But if you're gonna go that route, throwing Todoroki in there to be like "it makes sense to pair them instead" is kind of strange because even though Todoroki didn't bully Midoriya, they did still immediately start on the wrong foot. I mean, Todoroki could have killed Midoriya in their match but I don't see people going "I don't understand how people can ship them, it doesn't make sense to me when Todoroki could have seriously killed Midoriya that one time".
I have seen people ship Midoriya with characters worse than Bakugou, but OMG, it's their ship that gets tackled on the most and at this point, I see it as a trend.
I see it as someone has to do because they're a follower.
Honestly, it's just getting ridiculous.
If the ship doesn't make sense to you, it doesn't make sense to you, who cares? But posting about it like this and then tagging it, doesn't do anything good.
No one who has caught up with the anime and manga would post about the ship in a rather negative way would be "it doesn't make sense to ship them".
"What if they aren't caught up?"
Even so, does it need to make sense? Is it an actual necessity for someone to have a ship to make sense if at the end of the day they're just entertained by the mere thought of it and not bothering you about it?
Take it from someone who ships Miruko and Burnin and is her favorite MHA ship at this time. We ain't see them have no onscreen interaction. That didn't stop me though and going "Hey, I think you two would look cute together".
There are ships in this fandom that have a way worse relationship in canon and still people ship them.
"I see art that depicts them being cute together." Okay, so and? Are you losing HP from it like some video game character that has yet to move out the lava? Do you grow a horn every time you see cute ship art of it? It's not the only ship drawn out there being cute together. It's not like there aren't cute moments in canon for them. Then stop looking at the art. Why are you looking at the art? If you keep seeing BakuDeku art, clearly... you're in the area. Probably on purpose.
I know if I keep seeing art of a ship I don't like it's a me problem because I have the choices to not follow certain people, block the tag, etc.
Maybe you shouldn't be in the MHA fandom at all given the amount of art for them anyways that's official.
Look, I'm not bothered by someone not liking Bakudeku. Could really give zero crap about it, honestly. I have ships I don't like either.
But what bothers me is posting about it, attacking the ship and tagging it.
We all have our opinions and I believe, good or bad, post about them.
However, people do shit like this and then mask it as "having an opinion" when really they probably want to start drama.
"But, Kiya, what if they're not trying to start drama? What if they don't know the proper way to tag?"
I call bullshit and I don't care. Oh, yes, I sound like a bitch, but let's be real here.
Stuff like this happens no matter where. It doesn't just happen on Tumblr. People have done this over and over and over to the point that it is hard to believe that person isn't trying to start anything.
New or not, people by now should know that if they're going to say something negative about a ship, don't draw in the shippers.
If this person didn't want to start drama then why bring TodoDeku into this? "Make it make sense." That right there is a sign of "I'm starting drama". Uh, people do happen to ship TodoDeku. I even ship it. It's not like people don't at all in the fandom ship them and only ship BakuDeku, so stop.
It's not like this person or anybody who does this is genuinely asking and do what to know because maybe they are genuinely curious and/or considering the ship but first wants to know more about it.
No, they're just being hostile. This is not an opinion. It's an attack disguised as one.
If you don't like the ship, okay. But if you're going to post about it, don't tag it.
This isn't even about BakuDeku only anymore. I see this with ships that don't even have anything wrong with them and in different fandoms. It's tiring, it's annoying and just takes the fun out of shipping.

Ok I have an idea... I want to you pick all Pedro's characters or your favorite whatever you want and tell your opinion of who would pick boobs and who would pick ass in preference on a woman (I just saw this on Twitter about what men prefer and I think it would be fun to do with the Pedro's characters... Also if you want obviously you can add the other triple frontier boys 🫣).
OKOKOKOK 👀
Wait it's like you're in my head because this is something I've thought about A LOT. lol 💕 (I’ll get into the other triple frontier boys soon)
Okay let's get into it!
(adult subject matter under the cut, what can I tell you. 18+, I am using female pronouns for all of these)
Joel Miller; Tits. hands DOWN titties. I have thought this since before the show came out, this man is mesmerized by a set of tits and I will die on that hill. He is of the firm belief that all boobs are good boobs, and he cannot fall sleep without his hand up your shirt, full titty grab. You know those tiktoks where women flash their partners in the middle of an argument? That would absolutely work on Joel, he'd sigh, stare, lick his lips and then grunt a "now you're not playin' fair darlin'" *bonus - favourite position; being ridden so he has tits in his face.
Francisco Morales: Ass. Frankie is an ass-man through and through without a doubt. He's a grabber, he's the boyfriend / husband that can't help but give your ass a good crack every time he walks by and if you squeal he laughs and apologizes but says he cannot help it and then threatens to bite it. Every time he greets you, you can bet that his hand will creep down and get a big handful. *favourite position; doggy, because ass.
Marcus Pike: He gives me ass-man vibes. It's not to the extent of Frankie, but he can definitely appreciate a nice handful. He's been known to slip his hand down in the middle of a makeout sesh and get himself a good grip. We all know Marcus is a gentleman, but once he gets in the mood he's a bit rough, and that means you're going to get a bit bruised, manhandled. *favourite position; missionary, man is a romantic and wants to kiss.
Marcus Acacius: I genuinely don't think Marcus is partial to one more than the other, I think he just likes a woman's body. He loves tits, he loves the ass, he loves legs and pretty eyes and everything that comes along with the woman he's interested in. *favourite position; missionary, I think it just goes with the time.
Ezra: I think Ezra is a hedonist, and like Marcus A. he likes it all, but unlike him, Ezra is more feral about it. So when it's titty time? He's coming on them, he's rubbing it into your skin. When he's in an ass-mood? He's begging to come inside it, he's biting hard enough to leave the indents of his teeth. *favourite position; cowgirl, he wants to see you get wild, likes to watch shit bounce, likes to get wet.
Din Djarin: Ass-man. I think Din like how much he can grab at once, he likes how big his hands are. A lot of the time you're together, a lot of the time you're 'courting' you don't see much of him, so you end up getting bent over things and with that- comes a few spanks. *favourite position; honestly? whatever he can manage in the time you have.
Dieter Bravo: (on a woman, different obviously if he's dating a man, or a non-binary person) Tits. This man wants tits in his face at all times. Look at him, he'd motorboat you before leaving the house even if he's going to the store to grab a Diet Coke. No other notes, he just likes titties. *favourite position; 69, he wants it messy and intense.
Javier Peña: He's an ass-man, that big hand is reaching down to grab at a cheek whenever he's within arms reach. Javi is a biter, he likes to nip and get a squeal. A thong sends him into a frenzy, and if you're topless too? You're getting bent over the nearest surface. *favourite position; doggy, obviously.
Marcus Moreno: He gives me titty man, and secretly kind of obsessive about it. He can get a little intense, likes when you're really oversensitive, likes to bury his face in your cleavage, just loves tits. I don't think he could resist (what he would consider) a nice ass but tits are his favourite. *favourite position; I think he likes being ridden, likes to watch you move, and obviously titties bouncing.
Dave York: I'm not sure if it's an unpopular opinion but I've always thought of Dave as an ass-man. I think he loves to kiss, and slip his hand down and squeeze, but more than that - he'd slip his hand down a little further than is necessary, fingers slipping between the legs. He'd love the gasp, he'd love the widening of the eyes, he'd love to smile and press a soft kiss to your forehead after. *favourite position; I think the'd like the seashell (missionary but your legs are on his shoulders)
Jack (Whiskey): I think it depends on the day. Some days - when you're wearing something low cut - the tits cast a spell, he's all over them. Some days, it's all about the ass, full palm smacks and rough grabs. He's very versatile. *favourite position; cowgirl, either reverse or regular.
Oberyn Martell: Ass man, just hands down, those hands are all over it. He's a little more tender than the others I think, instead of smacks and rough grabs, it would be more of a soft but firm pulling you into his orbit. It's a gentle, but purposeful pulling off of your robes with soft kisses across your belly, and then on the swell of your ass. *favourite position; whichever one gets you pregnant faster.
Max Phillips: Max likes pussy, to be frank. Ass, tits, it's all good, they both have veins he can tap, before he taps. *favourite position; all of them.
Dio Morrisey: big titty goth girlfriend BIG TITTY GOTH GIRLFRIEND, baby bat likes titties, and I stand by that. No other notes, he likes titties, he likes cleavage, he wants them in and around his face at all times. *favourite position; I think Dio is a bit of a secret softie, he likes spooning sex in the morning, or at night, or after a nap, any time you're horizontal.

I've been reading your posts for awhile now and I genuinely enjoy reading your takes especially with Harry's characterization. so I've been wondering what are your thoughts on the lupin family? especially with teddy? although I still kinda dislike his parents' relationship i still think he's an interesting character and i wished people talked about him more outside of shipping. What would his relationship with harry be growing up? Also Lyall's death was never really confirmed, only hope's was so do you think he and Andromeda raised teddy instead of harry? It still feels odd that remus chose a 17 year old to be his son's godfather surely there were other suitable candidates than a literal teenager.
Thank you so much 💕
So, this is like entirely in my headcanon space since I did not watch/read Cursed Child and I'm not planning to. I don't consider any of the post-book material canon at all except the Quidditch World Cup in 2014, which I accept since it's fun and doesn't go out of its way to ruin established characters. I enjoyed reading it more than the epilogue, so that's something.
That being said, I often prefer to ignore many aspects of the epilogue and the World Cup article when headcanoning post-books events. I also don't engage much with next-gen stuff since I'm more interested in Harry's generation, but I do have some thoughts about Teddy.
With all this out of the way, let's talk about the Lupins.
So, I like Remadora, I think they're alright for the little we see of them. Tonks just deserves so much better than Lupin in my mind. I mean, he wanted to leave her, after he got her pregnant, for his own sense of inadequacy, guilt, and allergy to taking responsibility. Harry was so justified in ripping Remus a new one.
Now, I mentioned here, how I think Remus didn't make Harry Teddy's godfather because he thought Harry was ready (though Harry is more mature and responsible at 17 than Remus is at 37, so...), but as a way to promise Harry that he isn't going to push him, or Tonks, or anyone who loves him away anymore. It was Remus trying to apologize in a weird way that didn't really land. Especially since he goes and dies right after. (can you tell Remus is my least favorite marauder?)
Now, I find it really hard to imagine Remus as a father for Teddy had he lived. Like, I can see Tonks being a cool mom and her and Teddy matching hair colors when walking together and messing with people (and I think she could become more responsible had she lived longer). Remus is a harder one for me to envision as a parent. I mean, I think he'd be relieved that Teddy wasn't born a werewolf, but whenever he'd look at Teddy and Nymphadora, I think Remus couldn't help but feel sorry for himself and like he doesn't deserve them. While making Harry Teddy's godfather was meant to be a sort of promise, I can't see Remus fixing his habits so quickly. I mean, he'd try. But I can also see him, trying to up and leave a few times only to be talked out of it by various characters.
I think his behavior is going to put a lot of stress on Tonks too. Like, While I think they do love each other, I don't know how well their relationship would work in the long run if Remus doesn't bother to work on himself and get his fucking act together.
But in the books they both died, so Teddy is spared the mess his parents' relationship likely would've been and is instead stuck with a different mess of being an orphan with a 17-year-old caretaker. (This kid cannot win. Maybe because both his parents were kinda irresponsible and didn't quite get a grasp on adulthood when he was born)
So, post-DH, Remus and Tonks are dead, Ted Tonks is dead and we are left with a grieving Andromeda who lost all her family (again), a grieving Harry who just keeps losing people, and a newly orphaned barely a-year-old Teddy Lupin.
I think Teddy is an interesting mirror to baby Harry and Neville in a way. His parents died/couldn't take care of him because of Voldemort/his followers and he was left with only a godfather/grandmother. Teddy got both and his godfather isn't in Azkaban, so he has it a little better.
I like to imagine Harry makes sure to be super involved with Teddy's childhood, but I can't imagine a 17-year-old (almost 18) Harry post-war and maybe going back to Hogwarts for 8th year (depends on headcanon) being in a state to take care of a baby full time. I like to think Andy helps out in that first year a lot. I think Andy needs someone, some family to get her through loss. And I think Harry could enjoy Andy's company too. I'm sure she has plenty of stories about a young Sirius, and maybe even a young James, and in my headcanon, Andy somewhat adopts Harry as an extra son too.
Which means she ends up seeing way more Weasleys than she ever expected to. I think the Weasleys, who just lost Fred would understand a lot. I mean, both Andy and Molly lost a child and other family. I want Andromeda be more involved with all of them post-canon. That's my wish.
So Harry is Teddy's official guardian, but he spends loads of time with his grandma and the Weasleys growing up probably. Like, I don't mind him and Victoire being together, though I wouldn't necessarily have been my preferred choice, but I don't really care. They're probably childhood besties because they grew up together.
As for Teddy's relationship with Harry, I think Harry would end up treating him more like a much younger brother than a son. I mean, when Teddy would be 10, Harry would just be 27. Don't get me wrong, Harry could, technically, be his dad, but I think their dynamic is going to be different than that of Harry with his own children. Just because of how young and traumatized Harry is when he gets Teddy.
So, I think their relationship would have its tense points, but they'd also love each other. Like, you know Harry would do his best. He'd be super protective over Teddy, Andy would be, too. Like, no one messes with this kid.
But I also kinda want Teddy making a: "you're not my dad" joke/comment when Harry tries to send him to his room or something and Harry doesn't know if he wants to laugh or cry the first time it happens. But I think it would become a recurring joke Harry laughs from.
I think the first years would be the roughest. Everyone's grieving and trying to settle back into a semblance of normal life. Harry never really had a "normal life" he's gonna have no idea what to do with himself and I think Teddy could be a purpose he dedicates himself to. I think these two and Andy could all help each other figure their lives out. But as Teddy grows older and things settle down, it becomes easier.
While I think Harry and Teddy would end up really close, it's not going to be exactly the same relationship Harry and Sirius had. Teddy is going to have a happy childhood, Harry and Andy wouldn't let it be any other way, so he won't have the same grief and trauma Harry did as a child. Like, their dynamic would be less desperate, I think. Like, Harry wouldn't need to stay in a cave and eat rats for Teddy, their situation would be way chiller. Like, I think Harry would be constantly confused about how Teddy ended up being such a cool kid/teen because he doesn't think he could've raised him like that and he would joke about it with Teddy who'd be all sarcastic like: "Obviously, I raised myself here,"
Like, I imagine Teddy with his mother's punk fashion sense and goofiness (the goofiness I believe was 100% shared by Ted Tonks), Remus' voice and constant self-doubt, Andromeda's posture (he sits with his back perfectly straight, okay, Andy didn't let him slouch by the table), and Harry's sarcasm. He's like this mix of them and still his own person.
I think Teddy is likely to go through quite a lot of personal phases to try and figure out his own identity and how he portrays himself. Becouse everyone treats him as the godson of the famed boy who lived, but his dead parents were the last Metamorphmagus and a Werewolf. And he is very close to his grandma, who is a disowned daughter of House Black. Like, this is a kid rip for angst about who he is and who people see him as and him being a Metamorphmagus really leans into it.
Like, a young Teddy making sure to look like Harry in public because he's proud of the connection. Or Teddy mimicking Remus or Tonks' appearance from photos when he thinks about them and misses them or wants to remind strangers who his parents actually are becouse they seem to forget. Like, that could be super fun.
I think Harry's kids would really like Teddy. He's like a cool older cousin/brother who lives with them. Like, I can see them really looking up to him and Teddy would complain to Harry about being followed around by a 3-year-old that won't leave him alone and Harry would just find the whole thing amusing.
(I can also see a post-war Andromeda getting back in touch with Narcissa, so you could involve the Malfoys too if you felt like it. Though I feel like Teddy would just, not like Lucius much)
(Also also, I think Lyall is dead. I feel like if he was alive we would know, yk?)

Standard disclaimer that I understand themes and motifs and I'm aware that the reasons characters do things in fiction is because the writers have decided it will drive the plot, rather than because of those fictional characters (who do not in reality exist) being inherently "good" or "bad" people.
Additional disclaimer that I don't think there's any one single reason that Faith ends up spiralling after Finch's death and siding with the Mayor, that the necessary dominoes started falling years before Faith was even Called as a Slayer and that by the time Faith had lost her first Watcher and been living out of a motel room for months and been tricked and betrayed by Gwendolyn Post and accidentally killed a man there probably wasn't anything anyone could have done to stop her from doing all of that.
One more disclaimer: I do not, despite what the rest of this post (or any other posts I may have made or fanfiction I may have written) might suggest, think that Faith's story in Buffy the Vampire Slayer would be somehow improved if she hadn't had the character arc she has in canon. I do not think it would improve the story if Faith hadn't ended up making a series of terrible and short-sided and selfish decisions which ended up making not only her own life much worse but also many other peoples' lives worse [and a couple of other peoples' lives much shorter]. I do not think Faith's fall and eventual redemption is a problem that somehow needs to be fixed.
That being said though ...
Why on Earth, when Giles realizes Faith is lying to him about who really killed Allan Finch, does he decide the best course of action is (1) to pretend to believe her, and (2) make a big show of acting as though Buffy's in a lot of trouble before sending Faith back home to her motel room? In Consequences itself the only excuse he gives is that he "needed [Faith] to think he was on her side" but .. well,
First, newsflash, Rupert: you are meant to be on her side. That is the job you signed up for and are still insisting on doing despite nominally being fired!; and furthermore
This only explains why he pretends to believe Faith. Why does he make a show of throwing the book at Buffy, something that can only help to convince Faith she was right to lie? ("If this is what he's saying to Buffy, his first Slayer and obvious favorite, imagine what he'd be saying if he knew it was me?")
Why not pretend to believe Faith, reassure her she did the right thing by coming to tell him -- and that he's sure she only did it because she knew Buffy needed help -- and then give her the speech he later gives Buffy about how "this isn't the first time something like this has happened" and he "has no plans to involve [the Council]"?
Why not tell Faith that this isn't the first time Buffy herself has been accused of killing a man and questioned by the police? Why not tell her that he himself once accidentally killed a man, and that's something that he and 'Buffy' now have in common? If possible, he could even take Buffy aside and explain the truth to her, and ask her to play along with the charade for now?
Surely if Faith sees that Giles isn't prepared to throw Buffy under a bus, and that he acknowledges that "the Slayer is on the front side of a nightly war" and that "accidents happen", and he's more interested in making sure both of them get the help they need than meting out punishment, she's much more likely to actually admit the truth eventually?
Even if she doesn't want to do that, why not just ask Faith to "sit in" while he talks to Buffy about what "she" did and asks her to explain how she was feeling, so that Faith is in earshot for any advice or suggestions he makes about what to do next? Giles says out loud in this conversation with Buffy that he's worried about "scaring [Faith] off", so ... why is that exactly what he decides to do?
Again, note the disclaimers above: I know the real answer to my question is "that isn't the story the writers wanted to tell". It is necessary for the short-term twist that Faith seems to have convinced Giles to blame Buffy for Finch's death, and for the longer term plot that Giles be unable (or unwilling) to offer Faith any help. I understand that.
But -- in-universe, pretending Giles and Buffy and Faith are all real people -- is there an explanation for this that doesn't boil down to "Giles is a pretty lousy Watcher and should probably not be acting in a mentor role at all?". Why has he decided that the number one priority before anything else must be for Faith to admit it was her, and not the girl Giles can't help but see as a daughter, who killed Finch, when he accepts that -- whoever did it -- it was entirely accidental? If he's not telling the Council anyway and nobody is going to be sent away to be punished, what is the actual issue here?
"There is no help for her until she admits what happened." Okay, Giles, but why have you decided to unilaterally invent this rule, and why do you never use it for anyone else? We saw way back in Faith, Hope & Trick that Giles has no problem at all lying to people who aren't willing to admit the truth in order to help them. If, that is, by "people" we mean "Buffy Summers". Why can't you do the same thing for a girl you don't personally like?

Without giving myself much away, lemme tell you that I've been writing and working as an artist for years. Every time I try watching Viv's shows, it never fails to give me second-hand embarrassment as they remind me of the stuff I used to write when I was a teen.
I imagine Viv clapping her hands all giddy and giggling as she kicks her feet like it's the best thing in the world as she shows her poorly-designed, random OC's swearing and acting like edgy American teenagers.
The Mastermind episode, for example, makes me cringe like these Seven Sins like Queen Bee, Mammon and Ozzy are supposed to talk like refined upperclassmen who never swear. Have them talk like Game of Thrones (GOT) characters. The same problem applies to Hazbin Hotel where Alastor and the angels in heaven swear. It's like I'm watching Monster High except they were written by the people behind Riverdale.
Also, the humor isn't even that funny which reminds me of how I'd try to emulate Family Guy and South Park without any idea what makes them very entertaining in the first place. Basically, you don't force your audience to laugh but you've gotta give them something to laugh at. Sure, you can be offensive and even poke fun of people but in her case it's just spiteful and annoying. I just watch with a straight face pondering if it was meant to be funny.
I heard she also makes fun of those with intellectual disability and those she doesn't like by either making them into chubby and annoying characters or ugly caricatures who tend to drool and struggle to read. The story is just all over the place and many other characters end up being neglected over Viv's favorite ship.
I learned not to make those mistakes when I entered college where we also had writing and literary classes that I started scrapping all of those cringey comics and fanfics I used to do in high school. If I were the showrunner, I wouldn't wanna embarrass myself and ruin my career with those shows. Sorry for the long ramble but I just wanna get this off my chest.
Yeah, the humor is pretty hit or miss. Maybe out of context it might more funny but in context it does feel dragged out. Vivziepop is very open about being proud of episodes she has written. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being proud of your achievements but there are times when Vivziepop overdoes it and sounds like she is sucking her own dick (metaphorically). There are so many examples of this you can easily find online. She’s inspired by Bojack Horseman and South Park.
Yeah Anon, I was expecting the deadly sins and by extension the overlords in Hazbin Hotel to be gray characters who were professional authoritative figures for Hell. But they are a bunch of middle schoolers hidden in a trench coat.
Yes, she does make fun of people with disabilities in the show (especially if they are ugly). I don’t mind dark humor but when Vivziepop does that, it screams double standards. Because the in universe and in the fandom, they would coddle and defend Fizzarolli (a pretty disabled man) but when it’s someone else it’s “ew” or the characters make a judgmental face.
Vivziepop is an excellent example of what not to when writing a story, Anon.

My Favorite Books I Read in 2024
I read a ton of good novels last year- 32 in all (and uh, 82 manga/graphic novels, but we’ll examine that in another post). Here’s a link to my Goodreads year in books (the manga is at the beginning, the novels start with Red, White & Royal Blue) and my storygraph wrap up.
I got to have fun reading some classics like The Odyssey and The Wizard of Oz, but I also read a lot of notable newer books! Let's take a look!
Tumblr media
The Spirit Bares Its Teeth by Andrew Joseph White
The story follows Silas, a trans guy in an alternate 1883 where violet-eyed people have the power to talk to spirits. If someone is perceived as a man by society, this power is treated as useful. But for anyone society perceives as a woman, it's a different story. There's this idea that the power to speak to the dead causes women to "go mad". Silas is diagnosed with this "sickness" and gets thrown in a horrible sanatorium that forces patients to become obedient wives. But this school has some dark things going on under the surface, and Silas might not even make it out of this alive...
This is a horror that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way though. The setting is vivid and creative, the characters who suffer under the weight of oppression are varied and complex, and the protagonist is easy to root for. It's very spooky, pretty relentless, pretty gory and pretty twisty. It's very hard to figure out who you can actually trust! It's also a fascinating exploration of transphobia and misogyny. It obviously draws on real things women and trans people struggled with in the 1800s (accusations of having "hysteria" and other "illnesses" just for existing) but also talks about ableism too, as the main character is autistic. It really makes you consider how terrifying and isolating it would be to live in a time with so few resources and such limited knowledge, but of course, this still persists in a lot of places today.
It's not all horror though, there is some catharsis and nice moments of Silas finding solace and support in other trans people and it leads to some really touching scenes and relationships. There's also satisfaction in seeing marginalized people banding together and doing all they can to fight back.
Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries and Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett
This fantasy series follows Emily, a professor and dedicated researcher of the mysterious and often dangerous fae. Emily is out to make an encyclopedia of fae lore, and she has no interest in socializing with others when there's faeries to find. Unfortunately for her, her scholarly rival, Wendell, show up and decides to be all insufferably social and charming and interested in her. He might secretly be a faerie though, and Emily is interested in that, so, ugh, maybe she has to put up with him.
These books are a ton of fun. It's a cozy adventure the creatively draws on some cool fae lore. It's biggest charm is our protagonist, who is wonderfully grumpy and stubborn and clever and only wants to bury herself in researching this thing she likes She's the kind of person who puts footnotes in their own journal, and it's delightful.
Even when she starts catching feelings for Wendell, her research is always her number one priority. And Wendell, who is very obviously smitten with her the second he appears, is okay with that! In fact, her stubbornness and fearless, unshakeable commitment to her research is pretty much exactly why Wendell is so down bad for her, which makes him a really relatable love interest. He's obnoxious in a genuinely charming way and the teasing banter between Wendell and Emily is very entertaining.

Lonely Castle in the Mirror by Mizuki Tsujimura
Kokoro has been unable to go outside her house ever since she dropped out of school due to horrible bullying. One day, her mirror glows, and she enters it to find herself in a castle with six other students. A little girl in a wolf mask tells all of them that there's a room in the castle that can grant one single wish, but only for one person, so whoever finds the room first gets the wish. They'll have an opportunity to hang out in the castle every day until the deadline, after which the castle will disappear. But as the kids get to know each other, things get more complicated.
This is such a lovely, healing story I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. While the story goes into the causes behind the epidemic of hikikomori and futoku in Japanese students, it's also a universally relatable story about the ways bullying, grief and trauma can affect a child and lead to severe anxiety. Kokoro's slow journey of recovery is touching and feels realistic, despite the fantastical elements. The book shows how brave and hard it is to take these small steps, and how Kokoro struggles to even talk about what happened. The focus of the book is the connections the kids make with each other. It explores the secrets they carry, how they accidentally hurt each other, but also how they ultimately are able to empathize with and support each other. Each character is interesting and achingly human in their own right. The whimsical fairy tale elements of the story complement the themes well, and the book delivers some really solid plot twists that serve to make its themes stronger too.
One thing to warn for is we learn that a fourteen year old girl has entered a relationship with a man in his 20s. This isn't shown to be healthy or good for her though, and the reason she does this is heartbreaking. There's also some (non graphic) attempted SA. With that in mind, this is just a really cool tale, and I full recommend it!
First Light by Liz Kerin
This is the second part of a duology that began with Night’s Edge, which I recommended last year, and honestly, this book is even better than the first one, which was already pretty great. The book continues to use vampirism to explore the cycle of abuse effectively. This time, Mia is seeking vengeance on her mother's abusive ex-boyfriend, who was responsible for turning her Mom into a vampire. But when she finds the ex-boyfriend and infiltrates his little cult (with her kinda-girlfriend, who actually genuinely wants to join), she gets manipulated by him the way her mother did, her trauma and past making it easy to fall into a cycle that's familiar. She starts to understand her mother, and vampires in general, more than she ever thought she would. It's just a really interesting take on vampires, and this one actually addressed some of the thing I thought were a little iffy in the first book. It's dark, but there's also a lot of catharsis.
I think these books are easily among the top of my list of favorite vampire media. Content warning for abuse, and the vampire bites having a hint of a metaphor for sexual violence like they often do.
Tumblr media
Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll
Bright Young Women follows a young woman in the aftermath of a serial killer breaking into her sorority and killing several of her friends. The media and police are all too willing to question her testimony and distort the details to fit their narrative. Another woman suspects her girlfriend was murdered by the same killer, and they team up to find the truth.
Bright Young Women is a page-turner, and I honestly didn't realize it was so heavily based on the Ted Bundy murders until I read the reviews, because I didn't know much about him (or most real life serial killers, a fact which I am very okay with). But the book is here to dunk on Ted Bundy and the ways his "intelligence and charisma" were greatly exaggerated by the media and even the judge at his actual trial, rage about the ways the victims stories are erased in favor of the killers who are glamorized and fawned over, point out the ways the police constantly fail victims, and to set the record straight to those who idolize serial killers.
The story centers the survivors and victims, talking about their lives and triumphs and the goals they were working toward and what could have been. It's depressing, but it also shines the light on the bravery of the women whose testimonies got the killer convicted even when the rest of the world was dismissive of them.
This book is a really tough read, and obviously there's a huge content warning for sexual violence, the graphic aftermath of horrific deaths...the method of one rape and murder actually really disturbed me (mentioned in the aftermath, the book never shows the actual acts), it was so gross and horrible (and unfortunately, happened in real life). Read with caution. But it's a book that will definitely stick with me for a while.
The Rise of Kyoshi and the Shadow of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee
I never got around to the Kyoshi novels because there's been a lot of mediocre Avatar the Last Airbender spin-off media...but I should not have hesitated, because these were actually really good. They follow the life of Kyoshi, the famously badass Earth Kingdom Avatar, and shows how she became how she is.
Yee does a great job capturing the world of Avatar, while also expanding on it in interesting ways. I really liked a lot of the little details that deepened the world--for instance, it's mentioned that Firebenders shave their heads when they lose an Agni Kai because of the disgrace, which gives context to Zuko's initial hairstyle and actually makes the fact he actively kept his hair from growing back for three years extremely sad, since it implies he thought he would only be worthy of that once his father approved of him again. It was something I think Yee definitely came up with himself, but it made a lot of sense with the show in a way that felt natural.
The novels were definitely darker than the show, but not in a Netflix Avatar let's-watch-a-bunch-of-people-we-don't-care-about-burn-to-death way, but in a way that felt natural to Kyoshi's circumstances. I found I usually did care a lot when a character died because they were often likeable. I found the death of one character in particular near the end of book one genuinely heartbreaking.
The books did a good job explaining why Kyoshi became more severe later on, and in how she wrestles with how far she can go with her role as the Avatar, what justice is, and whether killing people solves anything. The second book was not quite as good as the first, with its decision to switch out the cast of the characters for entirely new people and just being more meandering in general, but it was still a good read. I definitely rec if you're an Avatar fan, odds are you'll really enjoy them!
Voyage of the Damned by Frances White
In the country of Concordia, each province has one heir who has a "Blessing"--basically a unique magic power. Ganymedes (a.k.a Dee)'s dad cheated on his wife a bunch, and one of the children from those affairs must have inherited the Blessing rather than Dee. To keep this a secret, Dee's dad makes him pretend to have a Blessing. Now Dee has to go on a voyage with the other Blessed and, sick of the charade, he's decided he's going to make them all hate him so he gets kicked out of the group. But that plan is extremely interrupted when his shipmates start getting murdered one by one.
Voyage of Damned is just a really good time. A queer murder mystery romp with a ton of suspicious and varied characters vying for power, a fun lead with a distinctive voice, tragic romance, cute friendships, and even some touching exploration of prejudice, suicidal ideation and self loathing. It was just extremely readable and I was entertained the whole way though, but it also made me feel things sometimes. It also delivered a ton of solid plot twists, including a big and satisfying one that made me want to go back and read through a bunch of scenes knowing the truth (and I did).
Dee and his distinctive glib narration probably won't be for everyone but I liked him and vibed with him. He goes through a lot, including finding out his boyfriend he'd been separated from for five years is now engaged to a girl and acting super cold to him. The tension between Dee and Ravi and how it affects all his relationships is a real emotional hook, and his banter and dynamics with the people he likes (or even some people he doesn't) are generally fun to read. If all I've said sounds cool to you, give it a try, you might like it!

Bonus Rec: Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell
Shesheshen is a blob monster who dines on the humans (mostly those who try to kill her). She can look human with some effort, and go into town to feed sometimes. But the she falls in love with a kind woman named Homily. This clearly means she needs to do the proper romantic thing and lay some eggs in Homily so their little monster kids can be born by devouring Homily for the inside out. Wait, humans aren't into that? That's awkward. And despite her biological impulse she doesn't really want Homily to die? Even more awkward. Oh, and Homily's family are monster hunters and it turns out that was Homily's brother Shesheshen ate a while back? Super mega awkward. What's a monster to do...
I'm a lover of actually monstrous monster women, so I was hyped for this one, especially with the great cover by @jmfenner91! While it disappointed me in some areas, it was still fun and heartwarming enough I'd recommend it.
Our monster lady is a great character, and her unique point of view where she's nonchalant, cynical and often hilariously baffled by humans is a joy to read. Her personality, her super gross biology, and how she sees the world...she's so charming and her romance with Homily is very cute. I also really like that the book focused on healing from abuse and finding a way to move forward with each other's support. I also liked the romantic climax, and the discussion of finding kissing weird, because that made me feel seen.
There were quite a few things that kept it from being a five star review in my heart though--Sheshesen is completely disconnected from people, has just spent her life alone in her cave, but she knows what an abuser is and exactly how abusive people operate in a weirdly modern way. Abusers are also only portrayed one way: openly cruel and evil with zero sympathetic qualities to every single person they interact with. There is no cycle of abuse with these people, they never act nice to to draw their victims back in, we don't see more subtle, manipulative emotional abuse, almost no claims of caring about people. Obviously cartoonishly abusive rich people exist in real life, and I don't necessarily need abusers to be humanized. Still...it just felt like the nuance of most real life abuse was being ignored. And because these people were so one dimensional, it was pretty tedious to spend SO much time with them.
Still, the book was very monstrously sweet, and it was overall a good read. I wish it could have been a little more, but what we got was pretty nice.

One of my favorite character types is a character who is so obviously faced with death from the beginning of the story, but just cannot seem to die. Whether the position they've been thrust into seems destined to collapse, or their death just makes the most sense from a meta perspective, I ADORE when someone pulls off keeping a character past their expiration date. Sometimes that does just mean that the storyteller made a bad choice and kept a character too long and it can be a real drag on the narrative, but when it's done right? It's the best thing ever. I love watching those characters cope with this position and with feeling to their core like they shouldn't have made it this long. The icing on the cake, of course, is how often someone (or multiple someones) died in their place to keep them around this long and left them with guilt/regret that they’ll carry through every second of their unexpectedly long lives. When someone pulls this off I want nothing more than for that character to survive to the very end of the story and to see what they make of the life they seemed fated to lose.
This is mostly about Pyrrha Dve. I think about her all the time. I think about how many characters she has outlived, despite being the cav of a ten thousand year old lyctor. Her death was subverted when the world ended and John brought her back, and it was subverted again when she wasn't fully consumed by G1deon. As a result she watched basically everyone she's ever known die from the passenger seat of the Saint of Duty. G1deon, almost all the other lyctors, and Wake all died and she's still here inhabiting the body of her oldest friend.
I spent the entirety of Nona the Ninth thinking Pyrrha was going to die. Genuinely every time she ran off to work or otherwise vanished from the view of the rest of the cast it seemed like such a sure thing that this death would be what heightened the emotional stakes for Nona and taught her firsthand the tragedy of death. Instead, she was the only survivor of her adorable little household and is once again alone as the last remaining piece of something she will never get back.
It's also about Amethar of the House of Rocks. I love the way that A Crown of Candy has so many combat encounters and betrayals that seem built with the sole purpose of sacrificing Amethar. There are so many moments that would make for a heroic, tragic death that Amethar will simply never have. He outlived every single one of his sisters and now he has to rule. And when it seems like his time stuck being a miserable king is over because his daughters who have been trained their whole lives to take his place are here? Well, he's going to have to outlive one of them too. He outlives his family, he outlives the mentor of his daughters, and he outlives every enemy that was created to kill him. And all that time you can tell he kind of wishes that he had died in battle—that he'd taken the hit for one of his sisters who had then been able to rule and raise a family in his place. But he was never going to get what made sense to him and it is his duty to carry on.
It's just such a unique tragedy that the reader/viewer gets to share with the character because there's always a very strong meta element to this character type. The reader's expectation and the character's are so often the same as both are waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's a fun reflection on expectation and what it seems like is supposed to happen. And it's such a great recipe for lingering tragedy when done correctly.

Vee (Dandy’s world) x Socially awkward reader?
Whenever I see a request about Vee, I can’t resist taking it on. To all my fellow Vee fans who struggle with social anxiety, I hope this resonates with you.
Tumblr media
𓈒⠀𓂃⠀⠀˖ LOSER WITH A COMPUTER ˖⠀⠀𓂃⠀𓈒
.ᐟ Summary: A compilation of headcannons featuring Vee and a reader with social anxiety
.ᐟ Character(s): Vee Version 1 (Dandy’s World)
.ᐟ Genre: Headcanons, Comfort, SFW,
.ᐟ Warning(s): None - Completely Safe!
Tumblr media
⚡︎ When interacting with others, Vee is often dismissive and indifferent, showing little concern for how blunt or insensitive she might appear. However, she was never that way with you. After observing your quiet and reserved demeanor, particularly in crowded settings, she became noticeably attentive and patient. This behavior likely stems from her past experiences with shy child contestants on her game shows.
⚡︎ She first noticed your awkwardness during one of her game shows. You were randomly chosen alongside two other toons to compete in front of a small audience. When it was your turn to answer a question, you mumbled and stammered, struggling to speak in front of the crowd. Vee quickly recognized your discomfort and let you step down, replacing you with another contestant to fill the empty podium. After the show, once the atmosphere had calmed, she approached to check on you—and that’s how the two of you met.
⚡︎ Once you enter a relationship with her, Vee is much kinder and more polite than she initially appears. While she’s never forceful with you, she shows a protective side, likely due to your reserved nature. She frequently reminds you to come to her if someone bothers you or if you need anything, making it clear that she wants to shield you from anything that might cause discomfort. At the same time, Vee encourages you to step out of your comfort zone in a gentle, supportive way without being overbearing. If you’re reluctant to speak in a group, she might create an opportunity for you to shine by introducing a topic she knows you’re passionate about. She’s your greatest supporter while always honoring your boundaries.
⚡︎ Vee enjoys sharing tips to help you feel more comfortable, including her favorite strategies for maintaining a conversation. As a game show host, she has plenty of confidence and an array of techniques for staying composed in front of large audiences. She’s always eager to pass on her knowledge to help you build confidence when speaking in larger groups. It goes without saying that she is incredibly encouraging and supportive.
⚡︎ Although Vee is a genuinely supportive partner, she often finds it difficult to give compliments without them sounding unintentionally backhanded. She’s somewhat aware of this and instead chooses to express her encouragement through actions rather than words. She’ll give you thumbs-ups or playful winks to show you’re doing well. Occasionally, a casual compliment might slip out, but she firmly believes her affection is best conveyed through gestures rather than verbal affirmations.
⚡︎ In social situations, Vee naturally takes on the role of the charismatic buffer. She effortlessly commands attention, handling most of the conversation while allowing you the space to acclimate at your own pace. When you feel ready to contribute, even if it’s just a little, she’ll make sure to give you the opportunity. If you’re uncomfortable and want to leave early, Vee won’t hesitate to walk away with you, bluntly telling the group that you’d rather spend time alone with her. Should anyone make a negative comment about it, she’ll respond with a sharp, passive-aggressive retort, ensuring they think twice before speaking again.
⚡︎ Vee is well aware of how overwhelming crowds and noisy environments can be for you. Even she, despite thriving in the spotlight, occasionally feels drained after dealing with screaming kids all day. To help you feel more at ease, she often suggests peaceful hangouts, such as late-night TV marathons, relaxed afternoons, or quiet visits to the tree in the Gardenview lobby where you can both simply enjoy each other’s company without the need for conversation.
⚡︎ Although you often feel awkward or out of place, Vee finds your quirks oddly endearing. Whether it’s the way you mumble when nervous or how you nervously twiddle your fingers while others talk, she thinks it’s unexpectedly cute. Of course, she would never openly tell you this. She doesn’t want to give the impression that she expects you to remain completely withdrawn and never step outside your comfort zone. However, deep down, she sees your shyness as a charming traitlikely what drew her to you in the first place.

Kenan Yildiz x Reader - The Costume
+18
I'm dead 😭😭 who ever edited this image may the lord bless you and your children, and their children's children. 🙏🙏
This look on him is so hilarious, I don't know why!
Tumblr media
Summary - Kenan wants you to wear matching costumes for a party. But you warn him why this is a bad idea. A VERY bad idea.
Enjoy! 🤭
"Come on Y/N. Please come out and let me see you."
"No, Kenan. I simply refuse."
You heard him sigh behind the dressing room curtains. "Come on, baby. We said we would dress up together for Weston's costume party. All of my teammates' girlfriends are going to match each other."
"Kenan, I am not dressing up as a gladiatrix." The curtains drew open as you stepped out of the small dressing room. It was evident, the disappointment on Kenan's face seeing you back in your regular clothes. "It's not happening baby. I'm sorry." You handed him back the costume that he had picked out for you. Although it fit you well, it just wasn't your style.
"Well, I'm still going as a gladiator." He stated bitterly.
"You do that Kenan, you do that."
Despite your firm decision, the days leading up to the event consisted solemnly of your boyfriend insisting that the two of you dress up in matching costumes. "Please baby, please. Did I tell you that there will be a price for the best dressed couple? You know how much I hate to lose, don't you baby."
"Kenan." Your sigh was heavy. "I told you that I'm willing to dress up as anything but a gladiatrix."
"But why?" He cried and rightfully so, considering that one of Kenan's favorite movies was The Gladiator. "You'll look so good. Like a Worrier."
"No, Kenan. I'll look stupid, all to satisfy the male gaze."
"Is that what this is about?" Kenan crossed his arms in suspicion. "You think by weaning the gladiatrix costume you're going to become sexualized by guys at the party."
"'Duh. What else. I'm going to show more skin than what is necessary. And I'm sure that the women of ancient Rome didn't wear push up bras."
"Your words made Kenan chuckle, his adorable smile getting on your every nerve."
"What, you don't believe me?"
"That you'll be sexualized. No." Kenan said. "We're talking about my teammates Y/N, They wouldn't do anything to make you feel uncomfortable. Besides, don't all girls dress a bit loose during these things. It's normal, no?"
There was no getting through to him. Kenan was standing firm on the matter. "You know what fine."
"Fine?"
"Yes, fine. I'll dress up for the party and I'll have a great time doing it. But don't come crying to me once you realize why this is a bad idea."
"Trust me." Kenan grinned. "I won't."
Eventually the night of the party came around, with Kenan picking you up while dressed as a handsome gladiator. You, on the other hand, wore a long coat, with long sleeves to protect you from the winter cold.
"You look beautiful, baby. Your makeup, I mean."
"Thank you Kenan. That's really sweet of you to say."
He leaned forward in the car, pressing his soft lips against your jaw. "I'm really happy that you changed your mind about the costume. You'll see, we'll be the best dressed couple for sure."
You made an effort to smile at him, a stiff smile, knowing what was coming was nothing short of disastrous. Having dated Kenan for the last two years, you were aware of his proud attachment to you. It was almost territorial, meaning Kenan was easily jealous whenever others became aware of you. Other men, that is.
"Hey, you made it!"
Upon arriving at the party, you and Kenen were greeted at the door by the host himself. Weston McKennie, dressed as a very convincing Ninja Turtle.
"You look awesome, Wes. Nice party."
"Thank you, K. The two of you can hang your jackets upstairs. I'll meet you guys around back."
"Okay."
The party was nice indeed. Most of Kenan's teammates were present, and their friends, who brought other friends. It was a bit crowded actually, with Westons villa crawling with people dressed up as anything from cartoon characters, superheroes and historical figures like Julio Cesar. You let Kenan emerge with it all while you headed upstairs to get rid of your coat. There you made the final touch ups to your costume, mainly polishing your plastic sword and pushing up your already suffocating breast. But hey, if this was the only way to prove a pint, so be it.
It wasn't that you were uncomfortable with having all eyes on you. It actually boost your confidence, adding an alluring groove to your walk. However, while all eyes on you was exciting and arousing, you preferred the gaze of one man and one man only."
"Y/N?"
As you returned downstairs, exposed in your gladiatrix costume, a wave of curious mumbles followed you as you sought out your boyfriend who stood chatting with his teammates. As you tapped him on the shoulder with your sword he turned his head, his eyes growing wider than you've ever seen them before.
"How do I look?" You said, batting your lashes.
"Look…" Kenan stammered as he temporarily lost his trail of thought. He regarded your costume with a longing gaze. Admiring the length of your worrier dress, which cut way above your knees, the draft being ridiculously swift.
"I— you look."
"Damn, Y/N. You look like fire." Weston appeared behind Kenan, he too, taking sudden interest in your costume."
"Fire?" You chuckled. "No, I'm supposed to be a gladiatrix."
"Yes you are."
"Hey." Kenan hissed, a slight flush to his cheeks.
Weston chuckled. "Sorry man. But you have to admit you're girlfriend looks hot in her costume. Hotter than you."
"Ha ha, very funny."
"Kenan!" You protested as he without warning grabbed a hold of your wrist dragging you with him through the house. "Is something wrong baby? What's gotten you so upset?"
He threw you a poisonous gaze over his shoulder, his voice slightly changed. "You know exactly what's wrong."
To this you smile. Your boyfriend, the one encouraging you to look the way you looked, barely lasted minute a minute seeing you in it. Utter jealousy overwhelming him as he led you through his teammates house, forcing you to join him in the nearest bathroom. There he let you go, supporting himself against the sink while struggling to yield his rising temper.
You tilted your head, regarding him with a devious grin. "Do you have to pee or something?"
Kenan raised his head, frustration in his eyes. "You think this is funny, don't you?"
"A little." You shrugged.
Kenan stepped away from the sink, regaining his posture before approaching you with slow steps.
"Kenan, baby." You chuckled nervously, lowering your gaze, eyes expanding at the sight of the outline of your boyfriend's trousers.
"Look what you've done to me." He said. "In front of everyone, you've left me this eager to have you."
"Ehm, sorry." You were backed up against a wall, Kenan, bowing his lips towards your ear.
"On your knees, now."
A shiver ran down your spine, the sudan shock causing a damp between your thighs. But as your knees folded beneath you, Kenan acted swiftly, changing his mind boy turning your body around. With arm around your waist he had you arch against him, his hard erection putting pressure against your exposed pantties.
"God, I should've never let you out of the house in that costume."
"Told you."
Kenan chuckled, adjusting your hair to rest over your shoulder he could kiss you. You tasted each other while he unbuckled his leather belt, dropping his pants to the bathroom floor. "I'm gonna fuck you so hard."
"How hard?" You moaned, your nipples having grown stiff against the wall.
"As hard as you like me to, baby."
"Good. Now get in with it."
You may have won the best dressed couple of the party, who knows? With the loud music pounding the walls of the house, you and Kenan failed to leave the bathroom for the entirety of that night, occupying yourself with some pounding of your own.
The End

Tumblr media
Y/N's POV
Geta rested for a while, and eventually, you realized he was here to stay. He had told you countless times that he wanted to stay, but it hit you that he really did want to.
You thought that him staying would be easy, but why should it be?
Geta disagreed with your leadership style to the point where he kept arguing with you in and out of court. You finally had it with his constant disapproval, and you made your guards escort him out of the room. The rest of the day at court was tense for you. Everyone seemed to be walking on ice around you.
You meet Geta in one of the sitting rooms in the palace and have tea delivered. You take a cautious sip and ask, "So, Geta, would you like to tell me about what was wrong today in court?" Geta glances at you and answers, "I just don't like the way you let everyone have a say in court proceedings. I also didn't believe some of those crimes should have been pardoned. They deserved to be executed." Your eyes widen, and you reply, "I see. Geta, I let everyone have a say in what happens at court because that is what happens in this country. I let everyone preach their case and why they think I should listen to them. It keeps people happy to know that their views have been heard. It also ensures that I know the full story going into the proceedings. I know Rome was different, but you are not in Rome now." He looks distraught, and you continue, "And as for the crimes being pardoned, I think you would benefit learning from my advisors about the rulings in my country. I'll talk to them tonight, and you can attend lessons during the next couple of weeks so you can better understand my decisions. I don't like how you reacted in court and think you can also learn how to better express your disagreements. I'll make sure that is included in your lessons." He asks, "Anything else?" You answer, "I think it might be best if you sleep in another room while you attend the lessons so you can try to remain unbiased. Knowing how I would think may influence your lessons.” He reaches out for my hand and replies, "I thought we weren't going to be parting ways again." You reply, "We're not exactly parting ways. I'll still be at the palace and join you for dinner. Besides, I believe some time apart will benefit us. We began this relationship quickly and with an intensity that no others can grasp." He nods and replies, "Fine, as you wish, your majesty."
Geta's POV
How can one sit through boring lessons all day and not be annoyed?
I keep telling myself that I'm doing this for Y/N, but really, her choices of people to lead my lessons are a drag. For the first week of my lessons, I sat in lessons with her old governess from when she was a child. This lady was cold and stubborn. She kept snapping at me, and she treated me like a child. The second week, I was with her foreign advisor, who was a persnickety old man who kept quizzing me on viewpoints of this country. I kept thinking of how I would react as Emperor of Rome, which was the wrong thing to do. Speaking of Rome, apparently, it thrives under Lucius' reign. Both of these lessons required extra reading too. They had Y/N's notes inside and she often included little jokes that made me smile. I love her. However, the third week of lessons was my favorite. I learned from her military advisor who was both kind and fierce. His team respected him and followed him. He was kind to me and it seemed he actually liked me.
If I thought that was bad, well, I have been attending lessons early in the morning until dinnertime, where I must sit with Y/N and other members of her court as they all chat about their lives. I don't always get to sit next to Y/N, and she rarely acknowledges me. I just want to hold her and kiss her, but her guards keep strict protection around her. Almost no one can even talk to her. Am I a threat? Why is she ignoring me? I need to talk to her. Does she love me?
I'm sitting in my room with a book after my last lesson when a guard informs me that Y/N wishes to speak to me before dinner. Finally.
I get dressed and follow the guard to the sitting room nearest the dining hall. I enter with a smile on my face and see my lovely Y/N sitting at the desk. She stands, walks toward me, and guides me to the couches. I notice her pour two glasses of alcohol from the bottle on the nearby table and I ask, "Love, what is wrong?" She hands me a glass and answers, "I pushed you away wrongly. There was a threat to my life, and I wanted to protect you. So I sent you away. I do believe those lessons were something that you should have done, but I shouldn't have ignored your presence the rest of the time. I'm sorry." I quickly grab her open hand and ask, "What about this threat? Is it neutralized?" She nods and answers, "We apprehended the team this morning after my tea was poisoned. They were trying to harm me because they heard I sheltered you here. They escaped Rome to live here, away from you and Calla's rule. They are being held in prison for the attempted assassination. And as for the tea, well, I noticed it looked weird and I had my doctor test it for anything out of the ordinary. They used a generic poison and we found it quickly." I reply, "Don't send me away again. I'm here for you, no matter what. I love you, my Y/N... does the threat because of me scare you? Will you send me away?" She shakes her head and answers, "No, love. I'm not sending you away. I tightened security, and we'll make sure my people know you are no longer a threat to their lives. This is not Rome, and I would not stand for mistreatment of my people." I ask, "How will you tell them this?" She answers, "It's an idea that I wanted to run past you. I think an engagement is in order." I jokingly answer, "I would like to be engaged to the governess." She tilts her head and asks, "What?" I answer, "I was kidding. I was trying to make you jealous." She replies, "Oh, I'm not threatened by her." I bite my lip, smirk, and reply, "Non-jealousy looks hot on you." She laughs and says, "I meant for us to be engaged, silly." My eyes widen and I say, "I accept your proposal, Queen. I would love to be your husband." She smiles and says, "I am happy to be your wife soon, too... We'll draft a speech for us to give to my people, so they may know the Geta that I love." . . . Taglist: @doodle-with-rhy @ziggeddie

i’ve been meaning to listen to the mountain goats but idk where to start what do you recommend?? <3
ooh this is a good question! You really can jump in anywhere, but here are a few of my favorites/sort of where I started listening! A lot of their most famous/popular songs are on those albums, as are some of the most common characters!
The Sunset Tree (2005) - focuses on John Darnielle’s childhood, particularly his relationship with his abusive stepfather.
Tallahassee (2002) - tells the story of “the Alpha couple” (recurring characters in much of the discography) moving to a house in Florida that mirrors their crumbling marriage and how they kinda hate each other but also refuse to part ways.
Transcendental Youth (2012) - not quite as conceptual as the previous two, but loosely focuses on a group of people living in Washington state and has themes of feeling outcast and struggling in society.
However, one of the most predominant characters/arcs is that of Jenny, a character who is sort of larger than life and both famous and infamous. She makes appearances in multiple albums, but most notably in All Hail West Texas (2002, one of my personal favorites especially having lived in West Texas for several years) and Jenny from Thebes (2023 - another one of my personal favorites of their albums).
There is a TON of tmg music both on spotify and on soundcloud and in youtube records of that one time they played that one song live and never again, so it can definitely be daunting to start! Any of these five can be a pretty good place though, since they’ll give you a solid intro to tmg’s sound and musical style, plus the narratives and characters make the albums fairly easy to follow.

i would love some tunnel fic AND (/or) ⛏️💕⛏️
ok i'm holding off on posting more about tunnel fic until i actually write more words. but because you asked so nicely, you're getting some background of geology fic AND a snippet.
this fic came about because annie sent me some bts shot of lou where he's wearing a fishing vest and i was like this is geology professor core. and then i simply couldn't stop thinking about it. back in my wayward youth i was a geology major and i've always thought that a field study would make for a great character study template, so the fic is laid out like a report:
Tumblr media
the OTHER major player in this fic is that concept a few people were kicking around several months ago when that interview dropped about buck and tommy learning more about each other as their relationship developed (LOL LMAO!) that maybe tommy had a past partner who had died. and annie and i were sitting there in the sandbox, and we were like: what if his partner who died was older than him. what if his partner who died had been in a position of authority over him. what if his partner who died had been not only his professor and academic mentor, but also his gay mentor. and now, what if buck, a young spritely 20-something, recently self-actualized, with the hots for his older professor, was pushing up against all of that history of tommy's. all set against the background of my second-favorite thing to think about: rocks!
anyway, here's a snippet:
The room is dark, but the door's unlocked. Buck takes a chance and pushes it open. It doesn't look like there's anyone else in there, but there is a weird lump in the front corner behind the desk, and he can't quite make out what it is until he flips the light switch on and the lump startles and jumps and–it's a guy.
Not just a guy, but the guy.
Even with the memory of the jacket he was sleeping on imprinted deep into his face, Buck can tell he’s good looking. He has eyes, after all. And speaking of eyes, this guy—and it has to be the same one whose papers Buck has been reading all week—well, his eyes are piercingly dark blue. He blinks rapidly, sits up, and stares Buck down with those eyes.
"Uh, hi," Buck says, as the guy shoves his jacket off the desk and slaps his own face a couple of times and gets to his feet. "Are you Dr. Kinard?"
"Shit," the guy says, his voice cracking a little with sleep. He clears his throat. "Was I supposed to have a TA this semester? Sorry–"
"Oh, no, no, I'm, uh. I'm just a student," Buck says with a chuckle. He doesn't mean to, but he bobs his head like he's shy. He's not shy! He's just clearly in the right place at the wrong time. Maybe he should let the guy snooze, come back in half an hour.
The guy–Dr. Kinard–frowns, and wow, the picture of him on the UC-Pasadena Geology Department website does not do him justice. He's really earned that spicy pepper, Buck thinks, and then mentally kicks himself for it. "Huh," Dr. Kinard says, then: "Christ. Did I sleep through class?"
"No! No, you're good, I'm just–I'm super early, first day on campus, all my classes were remote last year, and because I'm, you know, 'non-traditional', not fresh out of high school, I didn't go through the, uh, standard orientation."
Real smooth, he thinks. He's rambling. He needs to stop rambling. At least the hot professor standing in front of him is starting to grin instead of rolling his eyes.
"Anyway, I'm a Bio major but I picked this class because, well–"
"Easy credit?"
Buck stares in shock, but Dr. Kinard isn't even looking at him; instead he's shuffling back toward his desk, hand reaching for the stack of papers that he was just using as a pillow.
"What? No way," Buck says, and it comes out a little more forceful than he intends. "No, I read your dissertation. It was really interesting. The, uh, the section about the volcanism in the Quaternary era? Am I saying that right? At first I was just like, woah, this is cool, I didn't know about any of this but then I was looking at the timelines and realizing that the earliest humans were literally walking around getting all, you know, homo-erectus-y while that volcano was spewing! And now people walk around Yellowstone and we just have no idea!"
Dr. Kinard's hand hasn't moved since Buck started talking. He's just… still, leaning over his desk. "You. Hold on. You read my dissertation?"
"Yeah," Buck says. "It was good!"
