RIDDLE honestly doesn't know what to do with himself. He never really got the comfort he needed whenever he cried as a child so he had no idea how to comfort you now. He scolds himself internally for not immediately acting and just kind of freezing up beside you so he panics and tries to recall of all the times he saw someone else comforting others in order to end the extremely awkward tension as quickly as possible. He pats your back somewhat rigidly and says "There, there." In an all too awkward manner. You're caught off guard so hard by the sheer akwardness of Riddle's comfort technique that you burst out laughing, troubling Riddle even further. "W...Why are you laughing now?" The dumbfounded expression on his face is the perfect medicine for forgetting your troubles just now. Riddle unintentionally just cheered you up. After the incident, he seemingly becomes less strict with you and starts asking about how you're doing umprompted, which always pleasantly surprises you. Sometimes, Trey even shows up at Ramshackle dorm, holding a tart of your favourite flavour and saying he got orders from Riddle to deliver it to you.

VIL drops his usual strict nature for a bit. Of all people, he would be the one who could tell you were constantly acting strong and unbothered by everything going on around you. He thought of it equal parts admirable as he did foolish. Such intense emotion is not something to keep bottled up inside you and you made him realise that. His expression is surprisingly soft as he places one arm on your back, gently stroking it. He talks you through your feelings with a big sense of maturity and care and you're suprised by just how much he cares for you and your feelings. You don't exactly get that same impression when he's scolding you for not sitting straight or not wearing your uniform properly... regardless, you're very thankful for his words, even the harsher ones about needing to tell someone about things like this. "Tell me, if you must. I will always listen." After the incident, nothing much changes, really. Atleast from the perspective of others. He still gets on your case for not wearing your uniform properly, but he also asks about how you're doing when he gets the chance and does not accept simply "fine" or "okay" for an answer. You simply must elaborate why that is.

KALIM enters big brother mode. He's comforted crying siblings for various reasons before so what makes you any different? He gives you a tight hug, gently rubbing your back and trying to cheer you up with comforting phrases. He'd also try making jokes you to cheer you up and the puns are so bad you might as well start laughing. He didn't even start asking what's wrong but instead waited for you to tell him yourself. He surprised you with how mature (or perhaps just experienced) he is when it comes to crying people. You feel much better even only after a few minutes and you ask Kalim how you can thank him for hearing you out. "Seeing you smile again is reward enough!" He replies and you feel like crying again (but this time not from sadness or stress). After that incident, he always personally invites you to Scarabia parties, hoping they might inject a little joy in your life and keep your mind off things. If you're not a fan of parties, he takes you on carpet rides around the dorm instead.

MALLEUS is shocked into silence. You were smiling at him as sweetly as you always do just a moment ago... He knows how to comfort someone in theory, but now that he has to put it into practice, it feels like he's forgotten everything. He needs to show you that you can rely on him when it comes to your comfort, and that includes crying around him. This might just be one of the most heartbreaking sights he's ever had the displeasure of witnessing. He vows to himself that he never wishes to see you cry again (unless it's at your wedding) and would do anything to prevent it. He wordlessly pulls you into a secure hug, worried that if he does anything else, you might start crying even more. You hug him back and just sob in his arms, thankful for his warm embrace. "It will all be okay, child of man. I'm here, after all." And somehow, you can't help but trust those words with every fiber of your being. After the incident, Malleus ends up confessing what happened to Lilia and Lilia goes into one of those "Oh, how my baby has grown..." rants. But he also does say that Malleus should start inviting you to new places to keep your mind off things and help you let loose. So he does just that, with an added sprinkle of gargoyle-hunting and gargoyle facts. You're now very well educated about gargoyles lol.

"sweetheart?" bada rounds the corner into your shared bedroom, hoping to find you ready for your outing. there was a dinner for the remaining teams in SWF and bada was adament on bringing you. she talked about you so much to anyone who'd listen. you've been her biggest supporter for years and she's so grateful for you. she wants everyone to put a face to the name.

as she pushes the door open, her mouth falls open a bit. your back is turned to her, but she can see you through your mirror as you bend back up to put on your other earring.

you smooth your dress down. you were so fucking nervous. you'd met her team prior of course, but you havent met any of the other teams. you wanted to make a good impression. you dressed in a simple black dress with a sweetheart neckline. bada picked it herself- she loved how it shaped your body. you also felt confident in it and bada loved to watch how your face lit up when you felt good.

you wished some of that confidence would shine through, but you couldn't shake the small voice in your head telling you to stay home.

your overthinking is interrupted by a large hand splaying itself over your stomach, a firm chest pressed to your back, and a set of soft lips kissing along your shoulder.

"whats going on in that pretty little head baby?" bada's eyes flit up to yours through the mirror. yours hold so much uncertainty.

"i-" you begin, taking a deep breath, "i want them to like me."

bada lets out a breathy chuckle, leaving one last kiss on your shoulder. she leans back, standing at full length. you were not short by any means, but bada still somehow towers over you with her mere presence. you wanted to have the confidence that she does-

"stop. stop thinking," you watch as bada's eyebrows furrow as she looks at you, "just breathe. breathe with me."

as she takes a deep breath in, so do you. and as she breathes out, you follow. this is repeated a couple times until you've stopped picking at your hands and your shoulders finally relax.

"you look beautiful. and they're gonna love you because i do. stop overthinking it. i'm gonna be there with you the whole night hmm?"

bada's hand leaves your stomach, reaching for your hand instead. she brings it to her mouth and kisses the back of it,

"if it gets to be too much for you, just say the words and we'll leave. i want to show you off- maybe brag a little bit. but not at your own expense. okay?"

you nod.

bada frees her hands up and uses them to cradle your face, forcing you to look at her- and not through the mirror.

"i'm serious y/n. you look gorgeous. it kind of makes me want to stay home...." one of her hands trail down to the base of your neck. she beings your face to her own, pressing a kiss to your lips. when you pull back, she's looking at you with admiration. eyes glimmering.

"i got you a gift."

you roll your eyes, "here we go."

bada's eyebrows raise, "i'm literally telling you i bought you something and you're trying to instigate right now," she scoffs, "unbelievable."

she picks up a box and opens it. inside are two pieces of jewelry, a necklace and a smaller version of the necklace. both have her initials daintily hanging off of a thin chain. bada takes the first piece,

"lift your hair up for me."

she clasps the necklace together and lays it so that it falls perfectly on your chest. she reaches for the next piece. it kind of looks like a-

"it's an anklet."

you look at her, dumbfounded. "why an anklet?"

"you'll understand later." bada teased, "you ready baby?"

you take one last look in the mirror. your eyes switch between looking at bada and back at yourself. you both looked really good together. your features compliment eachother - you were truly a stunning couple.

your car arrives, bada ushers you in first, holding the door open for you. she was so cute. she slides in after you, shutting the door. her hand immediately rests on your thigh, rubbing up and down as the car takes you to the restaurant. you chuckle a bit,

"i don't think i'm the nervous one anymore."

bada turns to you,

"tread lightly." her eyebrows raise playfully.

you reach your destination and you're taken aback by the small crowd of reporters and fansites outside, bada's hand grabs yours once again, bringing it to her lips,

you break your stare with the outside, looking to bada instead.

"we're not a secret anymore. they all know. let me show you off. whenever you're ready to walk out, we'll walk. until then, its just you and i, okay?"

you stay in the car for a couple more minutes, taking a deep breath, you let the words fall from your lips,

"let's go."

bada beams a smile at you. she reaches for the door handle and as she steps out, there are a couple flashes here and there. but when bada extends a hand to you and you step a leg outside of the car, the flashes become quicker; more frequent. your hand squeezes bada's and immediately she swoops down and lets her lips graze your own.

at this point the cameras are going off, you can hear the clicks and see the headlines-

bada's hands cover your ears and its quiet again.

"get out of there."

the clicks have stopped. you can't see the flashing anymore. it's just you and her.

she softly presses her lips to yours again. when she pulls away, she mouths,

"you and me."

you protest, "but what if they see-"

OK I've been wanting to ask this for a little bit, but is Shou still in contact with his mom at the point that the story is at rn? Is she up to date with what's going on with Toichiro, Shou, and maybe Teru, or is Shou not really talking to her very much? And if he IS talking to her is he telling her everything that's happening or is he like purposely omitting some things?

EXCELLENT QUESTION! i havent rlly brought it up bc like. honestly theres so many moving parts to tfs its hard to keep everything relevant, but in my mind i think he is still in contact w her. its not Often that he calls but when he does i think they mostly engage in like, idle chatter. it’s kind of already established in canon that shou’s mom is frightened by her sons power (im looking at you dream omake), but i think other than that she is just generally Uncomfortable with hearing about what shou is doing and shou can kind of pick up on that. so i dont think he calls her often because of that and because hes just so darn busy with stopping world domination

i think shou’s mom feels a lot of guilt over how she handled leaving toichiro and the way their child got caught in the mix, so she’s not really the one initiating conversation. even tho she loves her son and would do anything for him, she’s afraid of stepping up as a mother and putting her foot down against her tyrannical ex husband. because what can she really do against him? and because of all this fear and guilt she’s driven a wedge between herself and shou just so she can survive without suffocating on those emotions.

what really fascinates me about the suzukis is how real they feel, despite their circumstances. and i hope it comes across in how i write them. i think it might be bc im a child of a very messy divorce but they just feel so raw to me in how both parents make vital mistakes that affect their kid. shou is neglected by his father but he also doesn’t really have his mother to fall back on bc she simply isn’t around. not for lack of trying, i assume, but i do think fear is primarily keeping her away and as much as that is understandable it is also something that hurts shou! and the beautiful thing abt the suzukis is its Shou thats the one trying to keep them together. instead of discarding his parents bc of their behavior, he embraces them and gives them another chance (at least in my interpretation). it just rlly goes to show much compassion and empathy shou has and how much he cares about his family

but i think, as of rn, that care is what keeps shou from being constantly in contact w his mom. because he would rather bear the weight of the world on his shoulders than let someone he loves be hurt.

That is when it clicks for you... you havent gotten him a gift at all! Or did you? You cant really remember giving him a gift at all so lets just say you didnt. (At least spending the day with him was the gift- forget it, you wanna give him another gift!)

You look at the costumes he bought for you. You remember how Asmo giggled at some very revealing costumes that Mammon bought and then you come up with an idea.

"Hey Mammon i wanna check something from the stuff you bought for me, i'll be right back it wont take long" you say to him.

He looks over at you as you grab some of the costumes.

" oh, so my servant plans on putting on some of the costumes huh? Well then you better show your master how you look in them" he proceeds to say.

You turn your head and grin at him, "no i think i wont" you spit out with joking intentions. He panicks a bit before following you and claiming that he really wants to see you in the costumes " come on! Human! Im the birthday boy you should show meeeeee!".

You giggle by his reaction. "Im going to show you chill" you tell him in a friendly tone. He blushes but only a bit. "Tsk- i know but still!".

You change into the first costume. Its a silly yet cute sheep costume, almost like a onesie but heavier. Mammon laughs at how you look.

He ends up taking a picture from his DDD "this will be so worth it later" he says. "Mammon! Get rid of that!" You say now embarrased.

You run behind him and try to get his DDD from his hands but he lifts his hand to where you cant reach. The costume however is too heavy so you end up giving up and decide to test another one of the costumes. This time its a suit.

There isnt anything crazy about this suit, its just a suit, but still pretty fancy nonetheless.

"Now if that isnt style then i dont know what it is MC" says Mammon as he takes yet another picture of you. You sigh annoyed by him taking yet another picture of you. However little does he know about what you have planned to do next.

You dont complain this time about the picture and even insist that he has his DDD ready for the next costume you plan on putting. He smirks as he says he will and even holds his phone, with the camera open, ready to take the next picture. His smirk dissapears and to replace arrives charming red blush on his cheeks.

there was a moment in time you were going through a growth spurt and your uniform was a bit to short/tight on you 

it wasn’t anything inappropriate but you had to order a new set of uniforms and they wouldnt come in until next week 

you weren’t pressed over it until mineta had the bright idea to start whispering some weird shit to you during class

“hey sweet stuff. i bet you’d look even better in my clothes”

you shoot him a glare. “shut it, dirt bag” you mutter under your breath

“why the hate? i’m just tryna get a bite of you. bet you taste like a hershey’s bar” he flirts, wiggling his eyebrows

you just roll your eyes and focus on taking notes

mineta tries to say something one more time before the class freezes as iida snaps a pen in half 

aizawa looks at him w a raised brow “is everything okay iida?”

“tenya?” you question

he shakes his head and apologizes for interrupting class before retrieving a new writing utensil

class ends and most of your classmates file out leaving you, you bf, and mineta

mineta tries to say something slick one more time

“so if you ever wanna fulfil any sexual fantasies about being conquered then you can hit me u--”

just as you were about cuss the pervet out of the country, iida gets ups, stares down at mineta with a glare that could kill 

the engines on his calves start to warningly rumble and theirs a dark look on iida’s face you havent seen before 

“i suggest you leave in the next five seconds, otherwise i’ll have to put you through a crash course on how to have manners when addressing my s/o”

it’s a chilling threat and mineta is out of there before he even finishes his sentence 

once he’s gone, the mood sort of lightens up. iida’s still a little pissed, but he’s quelled once you give him a soft kiss on his cheek

Bakugo Katsuki:

he thinks you’re playing hard to get, so he plays along. he leaves with his chest puffed out like he did something and heads back to the lockers

you let out a sigh and try to forget that little encounter

but little did you know that your bf was up in the stands, watching you train

he meant to leave a small bento for you, but he got caught up (aka he missed you and just wanted to stare at you for a min)

and now he’s glad he stayed bc he’s got a bone to pick 

mineta opens his gym locker before it’s slammed shut by a hard fist

bakugo looks like the literal devil as he takes mineta’s shirt in his fist and leans in with a threatening growl

“listen here you rotten little bastard. that little stunt you pulled out there, disrepectful. you ever speak to my--actually, if you ever even think about my y/n, i’ll blow you up so fucking bad they’ll be washing you off the walls for weeks. got it?”

he doesnt even let him answer before he drops him on the floor and walks off 

you happen to meet him as he’s walking out and throw your arms around him totally oblivous to the fact that he’s semi-steaming from what just occured

you give him a kiss for the food he made you and it makes him smirk just in the slightest

he’s always there to watch over you, even if you don’t see it

The halls of Beacon were quiet as Weiss walked through, though she was glad for the peace as her mind was swimming in thought. She was silently dreading returning to her dorms, knowing what was waiting for her. But, she had decided tonight was the night, and she would not cower away from what she had decided to do. Best to get it over with rather than continuing to let her dread grow. Soon a voice broke her train of thought. “Hey Weiss~!” She looked back as the owner of the voice caught up to her, a plastic bag in hand. “Hello Nora, It’s good to see you. I see your trip to Vale was productive.” Nora beamed back at her with her usual energy. “Good to see you too~ And heck yeah it was~ Me and Ren found that cute coffee shop you told us about, Jaune actually managed to not throw up on the ride there, though he was wasnt as lucky on the way back, and me and Pyrrha went shopping for our dresses for the dance~ Oh, and here’s the stuff you wanted~” Nora held up the back for Weiss who took it and looked through it, a set of razors and shaving cream along with some skin care for after. “Thank you very much Nora. Im afraid I was starting to run low, and our team won’t be free to travel to Vale for a few days. Please, what do I owe you?” As she began to sift through her bag for her purse, Nora held up her hand. “Nuh uh uh, you dont owe me anything. Girls like us gotta stick together after all, and you’d do the same for me~” Nora’s usual high energy voice had softened as she spoke, to which Weiss was grateful. Since coming to Beacon she had been nervous about the truth coming out about her, thankfully Nora had seen through her immediately and been a true pillar of support. Weiss had been surprised and rather relieved when Nora had revealed she was just like her, and in moments like this it was wonderful to have someone to talk to and help her without any worry about questions she was not particularly wanting to answer. As if sensing some unease, Nora gently squeezed her shoulder and nodded her head towards a small bench in the hall. As the two sat down, Nora spoke up. “Hey, you doing ok? You seem off.” Weiss sighed and nodded. “I am just...nervous. I promised myself that tonight would be the night I tell the rest of my team, the truth about me.” Nora watched Weiss’s expression, seeing the build up of worry on her face. “You know the others aren’t going to suddenly turn on you just because of this, right? I cant imagine this would be a big deal for Ruby or Yang, and I doubt Blake would mind really.” Weiss let out another sigh and leaned her head back against the wall, closing her eyes before responding. “I am fully aware that no one on my team will be upset or treat me any different.” “So...whats the problem then?” Weiss looked down, her eyes darting left and right to make sure there was no one else listening, before she spoke. “When Blake accidentally revealed that she was a Faunus, I….did not handle the news with grace. I accused her of having lied to us, keeping the truth hidden from us. And while I did apologise for it afterwards, I still cannot take back what I said. And that is why I am worried. I was so quick to accuse her of lying and hiding the truth and yet here I am, having done the very same thing since starting Beacon.” Her hands gripped one another as she looked down, shaking slightly. “My standing with Blake and the others is not exactly on stable terms, and I am afraid that revealing myself after all I said to Blake might cause more strife between us.” Nora listened quietly as she gave Weiss’s back a gentle rub. Thinking carefully before responding. “If you’re this worried, then why now? Why not wait?” Weiss took a deep breath and looked straight ahead, as if steeling herself for it. “Because I owe it to my team to be honest with them, especially after how I overreacted to Blake. I cannot allow myself to hide the truth any longer, even if…” She looked down at her hands, starting to tremble. Instantly Nora knelt down in front of her and gently cupped her face, speaking softly. “Hey hey, dont go working yourself

up over ifs and maybes. Sure, you said some things, but you said sorry, and they forgave you. Im sure they wont be bothered by this. And if things go south, hey you can always just join our team~! Though we’d need to work out how to include W to JNPR~” Weiss let out a sniffle and smiled, raising her head from Nora’s hands and slowly standing, Nora instantly hugging the girl, to which Weiss reciprocated. “Nora, thank you so much. You have been a wonderful friend to me and I cannot repay you enough.” Nora pulled back from the hug with a wide smile, her usual energy returning. “Hey come-on, thats what friends do, we look out for one another~” Weiss picked up the bag from the ground and nodded back, the two girls walking back to the dorms, idle chatter filling the time before they arrived, Nora giving a big thumbs up before entering her room, leaving Weiss with her hand on the handle, taking a deep breath before entering the room, barely having time to duck as a pillow came flying towards her, narrowly missing as she looked upon the scene. Ruby holding a pillow and swinging hazardly at Yang, who weaved out of the way and returned with her own swing, before the two registered Weiss and stopped. “Hey Weiss! You wanna join in~? Blake might join if its two on two~” Ruby chirped excitedly, her energy seemingly limitless. “Yeah come-on princess, I’ll be more than happy to whoop your butt as well as my little sis’s~” Yang said with a smirk on her face, before dodging a well timed throw from Ruby. Weiss sighed and picked up the pillow that had nearly hit her and closed the door, shaking her head. “Honestly it is a wonder how the two of you are considering becoming huntresses when you act like little children.” “Ah cmon Weiss-y, you gotta have a little fun now and then, whats the point of life if you stay ridged all the time~?” Weiss shook her head and made her way to her bed, placing the pillow onto it and sitting, restless as her worry was building up again. “Weiss? Are you..ok?” Weiss looked up startled at the last member of the team over on her bed, slowly closing her book and focusing her attention on her. “You seem….kinda tense.” Weiss took a breath to help calm her nerves as her other two teammates looked over, all showing a similar sign of concern. “Actually Blake, I need to talk to you. All of you, if that is ok?” Yang flopped down onto Blake’s bed and looked over at her, while Ruby sat down beside her, all eyes on her. “Whats wrong Weiss? Blake’s right, you’re looking real tense.” Weiss’s eyes focused on her hands as she fidgeted, trying to come up with the right words. She silently cursed herself, this should not be this hard. A hand coming to rest on her knee drew her from her thoughts as she looked over at her partner, a soft-yet warm smile on her face. “It’s ok Weiss, whatever’s wrong, you know we’re here for you, right?” Weiss felt herself relax slightly, thankful for her partner’s kind words. “Okay, I do not know how to properly say this, so please, be patient with me.” With a reaffirming nod from Ruby and an audible “Mhm” from Yang, she continued. “The truth is...I have not been entirely honest with the rest of you. And for that, I am sorry to all of you, but mostly, I am sorry to Blake.” Blake looked over, confused. “Weiss, what are you-” Weiss raised her hand to stop Blake, taking a breath. “I was not at all kind to you when you revealed the truth about yourself, despite the fact that in doing so, I was being extremely hypocritical myself. Ive been hiding a truth myself, and after all that has been said and done, I feel I owe it to all of you to be honest.” Weiss took a quick glance at her team, Yang’s expression was clear confusion, Ruby was still giving her the same calming smile, while Blake had become more focused on her. She took a deep breath and continued. “The truth is, I….was not born a girl.” Weiss waited for a response from the others, but when none came, she looked up at her three teammates. Yang looked somewhat shocked, Blake still had her focused look on her, though it was clear she hadnt

expected that. Ruby however, didnt seem shocked or surprised in the slightest. “So, like Nora?” Weiss nodded, and to her surprise found herself being wrapped in her partner’s embrace. “Aww Weiss, you dont have to be nervous, its not like we’d think of you any diferent, ya know?” Yang looked over, shaking off her shocked look and sitting forward. “Yeah, Rubes is right, you’re still our icy princess after all, right Blake?” Blake looked over at Weiss, her expression no longer one of shock, but of understanding. “You were worried I’d be mad at you, werent you?” Ruby and Yang looked to one another as Weiss nodded slightly. “I acted like you lying to us about yourself was such a big deal when I have been lying this entire time.” Weiss continued to hang her head. “Its ok Weiss, really. You already apologised more than enough times for me to know you mean it. And I get it, really. Growing up where you did, I know that kind of thinking isnt easy to get rid of.” Blake shifted herself and stood up. “But, you’re wrong about something.” Weiss looked up hesitantly as Blake stepped over to her, kneeling down in front of her. “You haven’t lied to any of us.” Weiss looked taken aback, not sure what to make of that. It was far from what she had expected Blake to say. “I...I am not sure I follow.” Blake smiled at her softly, resting her hands gently over Weiss’s. “You havent lied to us, because you arent pretending to be something you arent. You’re a girl Weiss, even if you weren’t born one. You haven’t hidden anything from us. From day one, you have been honest to us.” Yang soon walked over, sitting on the other side of Weiss. “Blake’s right, ya know? You’ve always been honest with us about who you are, and you didnt have to feel like you owed us to tell us.” She felt her eyes begin to well up, she knew they would accept her but she had fully expected Blake to be mad at her. To find not only was she not mad, but giving Weiss words of kindness and understanding as she had, it felt overwhelming. Said team was quick to embrace her as she felt a few tears flow, a small smile on her face. “T-thank you, all of you. I-I suppose I should not have been worrying so much over this.” Ruby gave her a gentle squeeze. “Well, worrying about things too much is something you’re best at.” “Hey!” They all laughed as they remained in their embrace, Weiss giving a gentle chuckle. Of course Nora has been right, she shouldn’t have been worried about hypothetical ifs and maybes, especially not with her team. A team that, day by day, Weiss would consider more and more her real family. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Whooo boy, this, this was a tough one. Im proud of how her talk with Nora went at the beginning, I felt like I wrote that well, and yeah I HC Nora as trans. But writing her coming out to her team, I kept erasing and redoing parts because I really did not know how to do it right. This is one I feel like I should come back to when ive gotten some more experience writing.

(A/N): yeah im in berlin (we’re being very safe and wearing masks all the time :D) and thats why i havent updated much. im trying to update a bit, im writing this at 7:43 to make it before breakfast hsghssgs anyway hope y’all enjoy

“Y/n, you don’t look too good? Caught a stomach bug?” 

You sighed at Jake’s question. You did quite literally feel like shit that morning, all three of you padding out of the hotel to enter the car. It was going to be another day of press, and while those days could be a bunch of fun, this time the thought just worsened your pounding headache, nausea, weakness, and general shit-feeling.

“I don’t know what it is, I just feel real bad,” you grumbled irritably. Tom and Jake exchanged glances over your head. 

“Think you should stay home today? Me and Jake can take a yelling from Marvel, it’s totally fine. They hate me anyway.” 

“Yeah, I was gonna say, there’s really no way Tom can worsen his image to Marvel. He can take the blame. I mean, he’s already hit rock bottom.” 

You snorted at their banter, and without looking, knew Tom had that undoubtedly offended face. Though, you still shook your head sadly. 

“It’s not that bad. It’ll be fine.” 

There wasn’t much arguing then. The boys never knew you to be a liar about such things, and trusted your judgement completely. And, to be fair, you didn’t lie about how you were feeling. You just thought it was less bad than it was, which is why, when you entered the car, sitting between the two man-children, you got very nervous when it suddenly worsened drastically. 

You were sickly-looking, and both your head and stomach hurt. Your legs felt like jello (which is a very weird sensation, by the way, causing you to wriggle your legs to give them life again), and an overwhelming feeling of nausea hit you. Overall though, you felt weak.

Jake and Tom were still watching you worriedly. Your worsened state was easily spotted by them. 

“We’re here,” the driver announced. Out the window, you could see the sandy building that you were filming press in that day, and a pretty sizeable group of fans (mostly beautiful young gals) who were looking to meet their idols. 

“This is a bigger group than usual,” Tom mumbled, and the comment made you involuntarily groan. You loved fans, but today everything sucked. 

Soon enough, you three exited the black car, and The Jello Effect was in full effect, as you wobbled to the front door. 

“Oh my God, hi! We’re super big fans!” A nice-looking lady smiled brightly when she spotted you all. Her voice was pleasant, you thought. 

“Oh wow, I can’t believe we’re actually meeting them. I didn’t think they’d show up here today. Guess you were right,” came the mumblings from between them.

“We can sign a few things, if you want? We still have a bit of time before our schedule,” Tom offered kindly, because he was such a celebrity that really loved the fans, possibly more than both you and Jake (not that you two didn’t, Tom just had so much love to give out). 

All the fans (girls and boys and nonbinary alike) gathered to have their shirts, comics, papers, and anything else that they wanted signed. 

You felt horrific, but didn’t object, signing and smiling the best you could, but overall staying quiet. You even joined in on the pictures. 

“C-Can I, um, also have a-a picture?” a shy boy asked stepping forward. Both Tom and Jake smiled and said “yeah” and “of course”, but in that moment the world suddenly got very blurry for you.

Everything was very overwhelming, the noise, the questions, the requests, and the responsibilities, and all of a sudden your legs were gone, and the ground was very close to you. And then it was black. 

Jake and Tom were standing in front of the boy, when a thump came from behind them (your jello body falling down, in case you were wondering). They looked, and surely enough, there you were, on the ground. 

They both immediately jumped down to you, crouching beside your collapsed body. 

“Holy shit, are they okay?” one of the fans asked, as a worried murmur spread throughout the crowd of people. 

“Uh, I don’t really know-” Jake said nervously. “Damn it, Y/n,” he cursed you, because, of course, you would underestimate the seriousness of your sickness. 

Thinking quick, Tom grabbed the rather shy boys phone, angled it so the boy was behind him, and then tapped Jake’s shoulder. They both, comically, duck faced simultaneously, and Tom snapped a picture. 

“Here,” he gave the kid back his phone, whilst Jake grabbed and lifted you. 

“We gotta get them to a hospital. I don’t want to risk anything,” Jake whispered, not wanting to further upset the fans that stood beside them, with wide eyes and filming phones. Tom nodded. 

“Alright, it’s been good, but, uh.. Well, we’ve got things to fix here,” Tom waved goodbye, and then followed Jake, who was sprinting to the parking lot with you in his arms. 

“W-What?” you mumbled and blinked awake. You felt drowsy and sick and simply quite terrible, and it was hard to understand, but you realized you were in someones arms. 

“Holy shit, Y/n, you scared the crap out of me!” Jake exclaimed breathlessly, as you awoke from your nonconsensual nap. You looked around in confusion, at Jake’s face (you had a great view of his nose and chin), the parking lot, and then a moment where you wondered what the hell was happening. 

“Did I- What happened?” your mumble was weak.

“You passed out! We’re bringing you to a hospital!” Tom came from behind Jake. This made you stir. 

“Uh, no. No, you’re not!” you (with much grunting and effort - and probably Jake simply letting you go out of respect) jumped out of Jake’s grasp and onto the parking lot. You stumbled, overestimating the solidness of your legs, and almost falling down again, but this time Tom was prepared. He grabbed your arm and pulled you to stand up. From his eyes came a warning look.

“Y/n. You’re sick. We’re going to a hospital. Just to make sure.” 

You knew he was right, but still you couldn’t help but feel like a bother. The boys both saw your stubbornness fade slightly. 

“Alright, I’ll go to the hospital. But you guys go and do press. I can’t have you getting in trouble with Marvel..” you mumbled somewhat angrily. 

Jake and Tom looked at each other for a moment, and then shook their heads. They begun moving at the same time, each taking one of your arms and just starting to walk. You looked back and forth between them accusingly. 

“I called an Uber. It’ll be here five.”

“Sounds good, sounds good.” 

“Excuse me? I said, I’ll go alone!” 

Tom stopped, turning to you. Surprisingly, he smiled playfully.

“Look, N/n. We’re going wether you like it or not, because me and Jake, we care about you too. So stop being so selfish, and let’s go get you checked out, because we can’t have you feeling sick and passing out on us. Alright?” 

His voice was surprisingly light and his smile was upheld, but you could tell he was still a bit concerned. The feeling of someone caring about you. It warmed your heart a bit. 

Jake ruffled your hair from behind, and you all started walking again. You smiled stupidly, and, though still present, your nausea was much smaller now. Jake eyed you from the side, watching your smile. He shook his head.

“Dummy.”

WHY AM I LIKE THIS

whatever its too late now! you get to hear me talk about it to avoid writing it!!

So, i’ll be explaining the show for you newbs who dont watch power rangers like a smart person (as in the not watching it is smart). 

Power Rangers Mystic Force is, obviously, power rangers. It’s got the standard team of five with superpowers and weird biker-looking uniforms. 

If im honest, PRMF is literally just power rangers but with like fantasy magic.

It follows Nick Russell, the new guy in town. He’s a biker and he’s got this tragic bs backstory about how his parents abandoned him (update: they work overseas, they adopted him and like do not vibe with him)  and he travels, living with  family members and how he never sticks around long enough to make friends. We know he’s staying with his sister, and about nothing else. ~ Nick Russell is actually really important, of course, he is the Red Ranger and if we didn’t have the leader be angsty what kind of Power Rangers would we be, am I right? (i dunno i havent watched other power rangers in like ten years) ~

But we’ll come back to that. ~

There’s also Charlie “Chip” Thorn, a hyperactive hyperimaginative redhead with a love for fantasy and superheroes. He’s eager to join the team and loves the idea of quests and fighting villains and shit. He’s the Yellow Ranger, with Lightning Powers. ~

Vida Rocca, the ‘bad girl’. She has this one strip of her short hair that she dyes and may I just say when I finished the show a third time I couldnt not think ‘yO HER HAIR CHANGES TO SHOW HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT THE RANGERS’ but lets be honest thats probably bs lol. Anyways, she’s a DJ and she loves music, she’s the Pink Ranger (who hates pink for most of the show) with Wind Powers. ~

Madison Rocca, the ‘good girl’. She’s Vida’s sister, and she like following the rules and she enjoys recording her friends to make little videos for them to look back on when theyre older. She’s hesitant and cautious, but will do a lot to make sure her sister is safe. She’s the Blue Ranger, with the power of Water. ~

Xander Bly, he’s cocky and thinks hes all that, and flirts with women like every chance he gets. He thinks he’s super handsome and amazing and probably has a superiority complex for one reason or another. He’s the green ranger, with Nature Powers. ~

Not rangers include: ~

Koragg, one of the big bads who (SPOILERS) later turns out to be Nick’s father and Udonna’s long lost husband. Early on in the show he can telepathically communicate with Nick, which gives Nick these really really bad headaches, great for angst, it’s used as a bit of a plot device through a lot of the show and ngl I love it cause angst. ~

Uhh forgot her name but there’s the Vampire Queen who has bat wings on her hips and is in a full leather body suit. She’s kinda boring. ~

I forgot her name as well but the Vampire Queens daughter, who later goes on to save her mother because she realizes that the Rangers are the good guys and she’s on the wrong team.  ~

Udonna, the kinda ex White Ranger and a very powerful sorceress, as well as the Ranger’s trainer and Claire’s aunt. ~

Claire, (SPOILERS) who turns out to be the Daughter of Udonna’s sister, who was more powerful than her and sacrificed her life to seal the gate to what is essentially hell. She’s comedically bad at magic early in the show, and acts a lot like a comedic relief. ~

The Master, aka The Big Bad that the evil guys are trying to let free. Koragg before he became Koragg was trying to kill him and succeeded in trapping him further than all the others. He’s some weird tentical creepy muscles-showing no skinned weird i dunno i think i repressed this cause i forgot what he looks like lol.

Alright, so those are the characters. Now let me explain the plot.

Nick rides into town on his bike and is usually found set up outside the record shop that the rest of the Rangers (yet to be) work at. Btw, theyre all teenagers, but I think this takes place in summer cause we never see them go to school. 

Anyways, this old man calls for somebody to help him, and says that his brother and him were walking through the woods and somebody grabbed him, and he needed somebody to go looking for his brother. Nick, not being apart of the town to know they have rumours about dying in the forest, offers to help.

Xander tells him the woods are haunted, he ignores the man saying the man needs help so who gives a shit about some rumours, and then Vida is like “i’ll help too,” and Chip joins in cause he thinks its gonna be some awesome quest. They make it out to the forest, and Maddie and Xander join them, (”Xander I told you if you ever took my car I’d rearrange your limbs!” -Vida, episode one).

The man is like super ominous and her vanishes once they get into the forest, this creepy witch lady saves them from some bad guys attempting to attack them, and then throws brooms at them that they fly off on. 

Time skip not actually in the show but im losing steam so we’re moving on. Eventually, they make it to RootCore, aka the base of operations, and meet Udonna and Claire. Udonna is this super powerful sorceress and the White Ranger, and she trains them. Claire is her apprentice who is comedically bad at magic.

She hands out wands to them, they go to leave, get into a fight, all of them but Nick believe in and use magic, Nick leaves the forest, Udonna fights Koragg and loses her staff aka her White Ranger magic, and the Rangers are left in charge of saving everybody. In the end, Nick goes to leave and ends up showing up anyways to save the rangers from Koragg and embraces the magic, becoming the Red Ranger.

That’s the gist of the first episode, and the rest is kinda just “fight the bad guys, discover random secrets that make a surprising amount of sense for a show like this, fail a couple times, do some weird shit then end on a happy note”

The fantasy creatures integrate with Humans, Vida dyes all her hair bright pink, Nick fucking leaves town and this is the weird part. Because for one, Nick wanted to stay with his friends it was obvious, but for two; the way he left was w e i r d . He, Udonna and not-evil-Koragg who I forgot the name of, leave together.

The end scene is Nick riding up to the edge of the rode on his Motorcycle, then it slowly pans out to show Udonna and Nek (im just calling him Nek as in not evil koragg now) on bikes as well?? one of them asks if hes ready to go and they ~ride off into the sunset~

For one: THESE ARE AGE OLD SORCERERS WHO HAVE VERY LITTLE IDEA ABOUT HUMAN TECH?? HOW DO THEY KNOW HOW TO RIDE??

anyways, great show! youve gotta watch it on some.. less than legal sites but shh its okay shhhh. It used to be on Netflix but like yaknow, its gone now. Either way, it’s a great show in my opinion! Like I mean it’s bad cause Power Rangers, so to most who are looking to critique there’s probably shit acting, and there’s a lot of not needed grunting in battle, the effects are shitty and the costumes are kinda depressing, but it’s still enjoyable! 

Random Facts-- ~

Vida hates Pink, despite being the pink ranger. ~

Chip, Vida, and Maddie have been friends since either kindergarten or elementary school, i dunno about Xander. ~

They all work at a Record Shop/Music Shop together, and their boss is an idiot but kinda entertaining. ~

Vida turns into a vampire for about two episodes, and Chip is the one to figure it out. ~

Maddie gets turned to stone because Nick essentially calls her useless and shy, and so she went out to prove otherwise, and got caught up in an attack. ~

Chip opens a weird black bottle he found after a battle and some weird thing comes out and attacks him, he spends the B Plot of that episode quite literally dying with his soul being eaten and climbing a mountain to get the cure. ~

Koragg has a really dumb moral code about how he only fights with Honor and refuses to kill the rangers most of the time because its “not honorable” for some reason or another. ~

There’s an episode where Xander gets this really really ugly and big zit right on the tip of his nose, and he uses this perfection potion Claire made for plants. He proceeds to turn into a literal tree and be depressed. ~

There’s a Troblin, the child of a Troll and a Goblin, named Phineas who’s very entertaining and I like this. By the end of the show, he ends up dating the daughter of the Vampire Queen which when you think too hard about makes no sense. ~

Nick turns into Koragg at one point late in the series. I completely fucking forgot how, but he does lol.

oh nothing in a book has ever made me as angry as fucking pissed off as i am now about the end of chain of iron and i have a lot to say on it (i have more to say on the last few chapters of chain of iron than i did on the entirety of the folk of the air series)

How do like,, android bodies work in your android au? You mentioned, I think, that Poison has a warm body temperature— is that intentional on BLI’s part, or as a result of mechanisms and stuff running? Do they need to breathe/can they breathe? How easily would one be able to tell someone’s an android? How common is it for androids to defect from BLI? Is Poison’s hair red by choice, or is it naturally red? !!!!! okay SO (keep in mind ive done no research and i like to pretend i know shit about mechanics)

to my knowledge, all contained mechanical things need to be cooled somehow, either with a fan (like a laptop or a video game system) or a coolant system (like uhhh cars (which also have fans shhh)). androids in this verse have fan systems to keep from overheating and like, frying their boards, but they dont rlly work well bc there isnt a lot of venting for the heat to escape. (why dont they have coolant then, you may ask, bc i dont want them to). so its not an intentional thing but jsut a byproduct of mechanisms running, but i like to use it as a way to show emotions. anytime im like “there was a whirring sound” odds are the person whirring is doing some like, intense thinking. Might be modeled after how my computer sounds like a jet trying to take off anytime im in a zoom lecture (dont tell anyone)

they can breath! but they dont need to. however, the way i picture their like, voiceboxes/vocal cords working is that they need some kind of airflow to create the sounds so while they dont need to breathe, they do if they want to talk/make noise.

it depends!! for things like android girls (pornodroids but i feel like thats not how they like to be called yknow?) and patrol/security droids its more important that they look organic because of the emotional response they need to draw from citizens. like in canon, other droids can totally look robotic but then theyre less considered droids and more considered robots (by BL/ind at least, i think its a bit of a self-identification thing to them if they prefer being robots/droids. android specifically refers to the ones that look organic tho) (you didnt ask for a tangent about naming conventions but its my post)

HOWEVER! desert patrol droids are easier to tell that they are droids because after long enough in the sun, they start to fade (you know how fences need to be repainted?) and they fade unevenly. access panels fade faster than regular ‘skin’ so an old desert patrol droid (like poison) will have patches of skin that r way more washed out than the rest of them. (also they fade, not lighten)

i dont think it’s super common for droids to defect :/ poison was a rare case bc he literally got abandoned and ghoul was right there when he woke up, but if ghoul hadn’t been then they probably would have just made their way back to the city. the better treated a droid is (BLi standards of droid treatment apply) the less likely they are to defect, and treatment is kinda tied to how organic a droid looks, (think abt like, headless preacher droid from the comics)

GOOD QUESTION! i havent fully fleshed this out yet. im caught somewhere between droids arent given hair vs they are given hair but its all standard issue vs somehow BLI made it possible for droids to actually grow hair. but i think regardless, poisons hair wasnt RED the way it is in the zones. that was a them-reclaiming-their-body thing

• He knew practices were tough

• But he didnt know about the fights that often happen during hockey games

• And he's watching with a smile as you do your thing

• And the game progresses and he's got a drink and he's munching on popcorn

• completely mesmerized by the game

• He thinks the game is incredible all on it's own

• It's tough

• you're against elements

• Skating is hard

• He didn't thi k it was hard until you took him to a rink and the two of you practices and he fell on his ass so many times

• his butt was bruised for weeks

• And you've got pucks that HURT when they hit you

• all in all you have to be tough

• He watches the person on the other team, swing their hockey stick and hit you in the back of the legs
