Hi!

As someone who watched every single video, here’s my two cents:

It’s ok to feel this way, it’s (kind of) good even. I feel like you feeling like this was also one of the points of the project.

From the very start the premise was always that everything would be deleted and lost forever, leaving us with just the memories, memes and friends we made along the way (and later also merch).

Everything is always fleeting, nothing stays, and nothing in this universe can change that, trying to stop this will only make one miserable. Enjoy and treasure it instead. „Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened“-type deal.

Except for you, it didn’t happen, at least that is what you think, but it did! It happened in your environment, to the people around you. You made second degree experiences with it. It made you feel something! Even if it’s something negative at this moment.

I understand the way you feel, considering the fanbase is indeed very dedicated and I could go on for hours about the project (which I already am, but still, know it could be much worse) and I think the party comparison illustrates it nicely. You aren’t alone in that situation, in fact I think it’s one of the many shared human experiences, since we are at our core social creatures. We almost always remember past things fondly and wish to experience them again and to share this joy somehow with others. But that’s the thing: everybody feel this way about something! They always have and they always will.

But everything that was then was at some point now. Every past was a present and if you want to reminisce about an experience, you first need to have it. We had Unus Annus. We loved it. We lived it. We experienced it. And now we share and reminisce.

But we could only experience it because we looked and found it, and we could only do that because they decided to make it. Without those decisions things would look very different now. To look for things and make the decision to enjoy them is so important for making memories and even create things worth remembering ourselves.

This is in no way meant to sound like you should „suck it up“ because it is a shared experience, please don’t take it like that. What I am (very poorly) trying to communicate is that it is ok to feel this way and that you should use this feeling as a drive and reason to find your own Unus Annus, in whatever shape it might be, maybe even make one yourself! Use the feeling and turn it into a positive!

Wow, ok, that got long and rambly, it’s late over here, but I hope I could sort of get my point across!

Feel however you want to feel, they are your feelings and nobody (including people on the internet like me) can tell you what to do with them (also they aren’t stupid)

TL;DR: Use the feelings you have about not experience Unus Annus then, to make sure you are not missing out on new and exciting experiences now! Take it as an example to not take little things for granted and enjoy them! Maybe even make some of your own! It is what the boys would have wanted and the lesson I took from it

so i've been seeing a bunch of unus annus posts recently for some reason and it got me thinking about my feelings towards it so i am going to yap about them.

for the record as far as i can remember i never saw a single episode (which was probably good since i was like 12 for most of it and still thought swearing would get you thrown in jail for life). everything i know about it comes from screenshots, clips, gifs, etc.

obviously since i didnt see it i have no emotional attachment or anything and i dont really mind that its gone since to me it never existed. but at the same time im jealous of everyone who did get to.

i constantly see lots of posts everywhere talking about how special and important it was, how funny it was, how much they miss it and what it meant to them. not to sound like a fanfic for a second but everytime i see someone posting about it i just feel a mixture of jealousy, longing, bitterness, and just something i cant really put a name to.

the best way i can describe how i feel is like. recently my closest and only friends went out together for someone's birthday and i wasnt invited. for days after they talked about how much fun they had and what they did and made jokes about it and anytime i would ask what happened they would just say 'oh dont worry you werent there its not important'. and its like yeah im happy for you guys but i just feel like im not important. like im less of a friend because i didnt experience this one thing. like i should have done something differently even when i couldnt have because i didnt know this was going on.

i get that this is stupid and i shouldnt be feeling this way about a series i have never seen and never will see. i just feel weird about being in these fandoms without seeing it.

yet another svsss hill I'm dying on despite the apparent popular opinion — bingqiu would be great parents! give them a decade of peace and quiet to start healing from the trauma of.. everything and to get comfortable in the fact that their love and commitment to the other is reciprocated equally, and I can 100% see them wanting some little ones.

Shen Qingqiu overcame both his age AND gender to become Cang Qiong's resident milf in a matter of days after his transmigration. He's great with kids - as Shen Yuan he had a younger sister who he likely helped raise or was at least somewhat close with, he obviously loves teaching and doting on his disciples, he's immediately protective of random-abandoned-toddler!Binghe in the dream realm after escaping from the Water Prison, and obviously in the Return to Childhood extra he's (the only one) having a great time. you're telling me he WOULDN'T want a baby version of Binghe for real??

and as for Luo Binghe himself, the joke/argument I see most often is that he'd be jealous of the baby for taking his shizun's time and attention away from him. first of all, by the end of the novel, do you know how many times that man has died in his arms, pushed him away, or been separated from him in some other very traumatic ways, mostly while he was being influenced by an evil sword that amplified his worst intrusive thoughts? do you know how many people WOULD take Shen Qingqiu away, given the chance?! I think he deserves to be a bit paranoid!! but again, with a bit more distance and healing from his traumas, time, and reassurance that Shen Qingqiu really is staying, I fully believe he will mellow out in that regard. with that aside, Luo Binghe is a total mama's boy, he's a part-time emperor full-time housewife, and his greatest dream has always been to be a family with Shen Qingqiu. I don't think it's a stretch at all to imagine that someday in the future, he would want to grow that family with him too. and although we don't see him interacting with children in canon the way we do Shen Qingqiu, I cannot imagine him not loving his kids, a tangible result of their love, to pieces too.

I still find it funny that people call eleven a "deadbeat husband" and their marriage "toxic" but twelve is the "perfect husband" and their marriage "wedded bliss" all because of the few moments we'd seen between 11 and River were them being "toxic". yes of course! let's ignore how the minisodes show how that description isn't true and even how little moments in the episodes themselves – "what? that's it?" (why haven't you kissed me goodbye? are you being sly on purpose so I'd kiss you first?) and "they wouldn't bury my wife out here" and the music room is the heart of the home and it's not a ghost story, it's a love story – show 11 cared and put in the work and yes, they're going to have disagreements like the ones in TATM because duh who doesn't but it does not mean it is the entirety of their relationship but people have taken it and made it the entirety of their relationship.

Voice actors are NOT the same as actors.

It takes a specific kind of skill-set and training to be able to warp and meld the voice. It takes a certain kind of talent and dedication to hone that talent into the ability to meld the voice and invoke emotion with one's voice alone. Actors are used to using their voice secondarily to their body language and their facial expressions. It's all mirrored back on camera. They do have nuance. But it's a different kind of nuance and a different kind of training to produce that nuance.

Voice actors might get their likeness transposed on their character's design, and maybe their mannerisms might seep into the character's animation. But when it's all said and done: their presence is in their voice. They are bringing a character to life, showing that emotion in their voice, trying to keep a specific accent, drawl, pitch, tone in that voice and keep it consistent for their recording sessions.

The voice actor is like a classically trained musician who can play first chair in a competitive, world-renown orchestra. The actor (who fills the voice actor's role) is like a moot who played violin in beginner and intermediate high school orchestra and thinks they can get into Juilliard with that 2-4 years of experience.

This doesn't mean that the HS orchestra moot can't play. They can even be really good at it. Maybe they won competitions and sat first chair. But they are not in the same league as the person who's been training their whole lives and lives and breathes to hone their craft using the instrument and all of the training they've ever acquired to perfect it. They are not meant for the same roles. They are not in the same caliber. You do not hire the HS equivalent when you want to play complex music in a competitive orchestra.

Actors are not the same as voice actors.

And furthermore, actors - especially big name actors - taking the roles of animated characters for big budget films or TV pilots makes no sense anyways when - at least in the case of TV pilots - there's not a point to hiring a big budget actors anyways. That money could be used elsewhere (like paying your animators), and the talent that is brought onto the screen for X character could then be hired on to voice said character no recasting required.

I wouldn't say voice acting as a profession is in danger exactly, but it's certainly being disrespected and overlooked for celebrity clout, and this has ALWAYS been an issue. Shoot, even Robin Williams knew that much - which is why he tried so hard not to be used as a marketing chess piece for Aladdin and got royally pissed off when it happened anyways. People shouldn't go to any movie (but especially not animated films) because "oh famous actor is in it". People should go because it's a good movie and the voice acting is good.

People who honest to god think that voice actors are replaceable because "oh well anyone can voice act" or "I like xyz celebrity so naturally it'll be good" ... Honestly I just wish you'd reassess your priorities because you're missing the point and are part of the problem.

Voice Actors ≠ Actors.

"wilmon is toxic" "wilhelm is selfish" "simon is selfish" did you ever consider that they are teenagers and teenagers often have commuication issues in their relationships. they're like 16/17 and when you're 16/17 you say and do shitty things, especially under pressure. at 16 i sure as hell wasn't having the world's most mature conversations in my relationships. and also when you're 16 no matter how mature and selfless you are, it seems like the world revolves around YOU, which is ESPECIALLY the case for someone like wilhelm. they are flawed! and flawed in a way teenagers often are! and that's okay! it doesn't mean it's GOOD it just means they have depth and they feel more real!

Hiiii I saw you say you have Notes on your Remus and Janus designs 👀👀?

Could we see/hear some tidbits?

FOR SURE !! Here's what the original doodles for their designs look like, first off, (I know you didn't ask for Virgil but I did these three at the same time)

When I drew this I had just finished an exam and had to wait another hour until I could leave the classroom, so I wrote down enough notes that I had to flip the page instead:

Virgil:

- Virgil has light brown hair that he dyes black (badly). It is essential that the dye job look like shit. It looks artificial, his roots are showing, there's patches where the color didn't take, etc etc.

- He also has blue eyes, which I decided on mostly because it makes it even more clear that his hair isn't naturally black.

- He wears earrings, but his ears aren't actually pierced — they're fake little little clip-on things.

- He wears black nail polish at all times, but it's always chipped because he gets the cheapest stuff he can get his hands on.

- His hair (especially his bangs) get very long at times because he gets too socially anxious to go to the hairdresser. Back in middle school, he used to have Janus cut them for him (Remus could have done a better job but trusting him with scissors would have been a mistake). Now he mostly cuts it off by himself — it looks about as good as his dye job.

- Virgil's purple hoodie is a leftover from Remus' fashion design endeavors that Remus thought didn't look weird enough.

Janus:

- He has naturally strawberry blonde hair. The length is very important to him — he started growing it towards the end of middle school. (He allows Remus to experiment with hairdos sometimes as long as he doesn't cut anything off. I need to draw that sometime)

- I'm not entirely settled on his eye color. I know at least one of his eyes is a very pretty brown, but I have half a mind to give him a yellow glass eye for his left side — I'm not sure it'd make any logistic sense for his situation, though

- He got his ears actually pierced when he was 16.

- He also may or may not have a forked tongue. Not sure how I'd ever be able to show that off — but if he does have one, then Remus definitely was the one to encourage him to do it.

- His fashion style was definitely influenced by being around Remus (who may have used him as a mannequin/dummy because he's small.) so much. Remus also attempted to make clothes for him, but Janus is very fancy and picky, so he doesn't wear those clothes very often (though he might accessorize with stuff Remus made for him occasionally).

Remus:

- He has naturally very dark hair. He uses temporary/surface level dyes a lot, but if he's using permanent or semi-permanent dyes, he's usually limiting himself to the grey streak — it's kind of a sample strand, since it's already bleached. He 100% copied his hairstyle from Roman's.

- He (and Roman, of course) has greenish blue eyes.

- Janus paid for him to get his ears (and eyebrows) professionally pierced because otherwise he was just going to do it himself with a sewing needle.

- He has a lot of very shitty stick-and-poke tattoos he made/makes on himself. They're almost always hidden by his outfits.

- Speaking of which, Remus makes most of his outfits costumes himself. The quality of the work may vary, but they are always way too over-the-top for casual wear, because he stands out anyway, so... in for a penny, right. (As I said in the tags of a post: he is very creative and has no shame or social anxiety at all, so he had his whole aesthetic ("overdramatic green") figured out by the time he was 13)

- He also has SH scars, but, again — they're hidden by his outfits 99% of the time. He's a slut who never shows an inch of skin

Also guys, about the locations of the podcasts: they are real places. 100%. They are real places somewhere in the Nowhere - most importantely, somewhen.

Prophetic dreams are very real in Little Nightmares and they are things that often happen: however, I do not believe this is yet the case for Noone. She describes feeling sensations and smells multiple times, something that can only happen if the plane of reality one is in is... well. Real. She also describes feeling Jester's presence as she does with Otto's, who is a real person in the real world alongside her. The fact that Noone isn't currently fully there yet doesn't necessarely mean the places aren't real.

Now, whether she's visiting the past versions of some already existing locations is up to debate (COUGH THE BATHHOUSE COUGH), and that locations and habitants of said locations can be parallels to some already existing ones, but the only certainty we have at this point is that these other places that are being described and witnessed by Noone are real places somewhere. After all, the Nowhere is an incredibly vast place of which we have explored incredibly little.

Would it be so surprising if the places Noone visits are separate from the, like, 3 ones we have visited?

And another thing, actually: I have seen many compare the Lady to the Woman in Chains, but honestly, after reading through the transcript of the first episode of TSON made by @softichill... the two sound like the complete opposite of each other, appearence and behaviour wise.

The Woman in Chains is described as having a "stretched back face", therefore causing her to have wrinkles due to how her face is structured, which explains Noone talking about her as being "both old and young". There is no concealing, no mask, nothing to hide her face. She doesn't live in secrecy like the Lady does -- quite the contrary, infact.

And about features: in both her forms, the Lady's face looks the opposite of hers. Either completely relaxed, or... nearly like it's melting.

I have also seen some people try to claim that the "familiar outfit" as a reference to the Lady's kimono, but you must remember who the narrator is. The outfit is familiar to Noone. Not us. It is likely that the Woman is wearing either a nun's dress (Noone mentions seeing three laying on a bed in the Prisoner's bedroom) or something Noone might have seen from the institution she's kept in.

While the Lady does thrive in her occupation, she doesn't necessarely take joy in it like the Woman in Chains (Prison Ward, atp) does. For the Lady, it's much more a matter of survival. She is on the Maw because it's convenient, see as she's in a powerful position. The Woman in Chains is instead happily preparing torture devices to haunt the Prisoners with.

Some parallels are certainly there. Referring to them as being, even metaphorically, the same person... it would mean that the team wrote a very bad analogy. They are nothing alike in any other aspect BUT their occupation. Funnily enough, you could say the Thin Man and the Signal Tower operate in a near identical manner to both these places. He's also the living center/battery of his own mechanism.

Noone also mentions that the Workers seem to be made of shadows, similarly to the Shadow Children. However, it is also evident that these beings are different, as they work and can hold objects much like the nomes. Later, when she meets a living child, she notes that they have black goo in their hair that moves like shadows. If that's the same material the Workers are made of, then this would make them some sort of liquid entities.

Lastly, about the inhabitants themselves: no one else in this Prison is here because they want to be. The Prisoners are not like the Guests, who come on the Maw willingly. The Workers are mindless beings, unlike the Nomes who draw and the Shadow Kids who play just like children. The child and Noone want to leave... and that's understandable.

My friend @chorusofkhonshu smartly pointed this out, so I'm just gonna copy and paste what he said word for word.

"So I thought, if these creatures are made of liquid, it has to come from somewhere. So my mind wandered to the prisoners, their purpose. Perhaps like the Maw and Signal Tower need to absorb people. i've already talked your ears off about this on discord but i'm happy to talk to about it again bc i fucking HATE new sirius black with a burning passion. i hate him as much as i love my sirius black that marauderstok can pry from my cold dead hands bc i'm not letting him go. i don't know when it happened and why but marauders fans are particularly persistent on taking away any interesting traits sirius had and leaving behind a whimpering pathetic twink that cries when someone looks at him the wrong way. sirius has been scrubbed clean of any morally grey traits he might've had (he's not allowed to care for his family (unless it's regulus) or long for them bc they are bad, he's not allowed to have any prejudices even though he was literally raised with pureblood mentality and taught he was superior to everyone else from the day he was born, he's not allowed to be an asshole bc he's not like his family guys!! and when he is an asshole it's always used to victimize the character he's being an asshole to and sirius is painted as the villain with mommy issues that can only be fixed by getting dicked down apparently)

i cannot stress this enough: LET THIS MAN BE A COMPLEX CHARACTER!! and no, giving him mental illnesses that miraculously disappear when he gets together with remus and making him attempt to kill himself post prank because he feels bad is NOT making him complex! you're just weird. you're just romanticizing mental illnesses and i can't believe you don't see anything wrong with it. giving him bipolar to justify his actions is?? not??? representation??? it's offensive to people who actually have to deal with these issues in their day to day lives and yet here you are using something that will impact their life forever as a plot device for your uwu sadboy mlm fanfic.

and that's what new sirius boils down to. he's a plot device, an accessory to everyone else's story that's never given much depth other than "oh his mom used the cruciatus on him and now he's traumatized". no hate to jegulus but hate to specific jegulus fics that turn sirius into an overdramatic caricature of his former self for the sake of drama and angst.

to summarize, my sirius is cool and effortlessly smart and egotistical and a complete asshole who thinks he's the best thing ever. is it an act to cover up how damaged he thinks he is because of his family? possibly. but i also fully believe sirius thought he was a god amongst men and everyone should be glad to be in his presence. he talked down to other people because he considered himself smarter, he rolled his eyes when students asked stupid questions and made fun of them when they got an answer wrong. he's a teenage boy let him be a dick with no excuses.

(also i find it funny when people write about sirius getting into a fight with james or remus and crying because they said something mean. as if sirius wouldn't throw hands the moment someone started criticizing him. he's toxic and that's what makes him interesting. that's his purpose! characters exist to make stories interesting, to start drama, not to be your moral guide on how to act. stories become so much more fun once you let go of the need to make every character a good person. also liking a character doesn't equal liking them as a person. i love sirius but i would hate his guts irl)

oh I wanna hear your takes on Romeo and Juliet what are the worst takes you've heard about it and why are they Wrong

ok so. the general consensus that a lot of people seem to have about it is that romeo and juliet's relationship is ridiculous and doesn't make sense, because the notion of killing yourself over someone that you only met two or three days ago is nonsensical; however, what they need to understand is that these are two teenagers, one of which has basically no agency in her life in terms of her own relationships and the other of which is Heavily Implied To Be Deeply Depressed after the last person he liked dumped him.

for juliet, her relationship with romeo is something that she Can choose - yes, he's some random guy that she met at a party, but honestly? that's kind of the point - he is in no way something that her parents have forced upon her; he's entirely new to her, and that means that even her parents haven't got anything to do with him (other than the family feud, but she doesn't know that at first) - which means that she can choose him, freely, for herself, and that by extension any love she does have for him is her own choice, too - and to someone who has been told all their life what they should want, even just the opportunity to want something for yourself would probably be almost addictive.

now, for romeo, he's found this person who shines brighter than anything else has been able to for him in a Long time, and yeah, it sounds a bit cringey, but considering that Juliet is the first thing that's actually made him feel something in so long (again - it is basically all but explicitly stated that he was deeply depressed) it's perfectly understandable, to me at least, that he, a desperate teenager, would cling to this person who's allowing him a way out of the darkness as hard as he possibly can.

so when romeo thinks juliet - the one (1) thing that he has been able to find that gave him a way out of his depression - is dead, and he sees that way out slipping away from him, it's kind of understandable that he wouldn't want to resign himself to what his life was like before again, because he now Knows what it's like to be happy. and for juliet, when she sees that the symbol of her one independent act in life is dead, it's again understandable that she might have taken that as the death of her independence as a whole, as it's the only independence she's ever really had - and, same as romeo, now that she knew what life with freedom and agency was like, she might not have wanted to go back to what she had before.

am i saying that they acted rationally? no, i really don't think they did - but they were emotional teenagers who were desperately clinging onto the one freedom that they had found from their previous situations, so i don't think that their relationship was nearly as ridiculous or nonsensical as people make it out to be.

tl;dr - they're two dumb teenagers who lost their only way out.

i will say with my whole chest that i hate what is happening with music marketing right now. i hate that a song needs to be a tiktok trend. i hate that one album is being released in 23 ways to trick people into buying multiple albums because there are different covers and different photos inside. i hate that one album is being rereleased multiple times as deluxe and then the super deluxe and then super secret version with one additional song just to make the numbers!!!!!! i hate that people without vinyl players buy multiple vinyls of the same album just to own them and collect them. i know no one is making anyone buy multiple versions of the same fucking album by putting a gun to their head BUT COME ONNNNN its all about the money and people and just giving into that!!!!!!!!

OK so everyone knows I love the paranormal, I love ghosts and ghouls and all that. I like listening to scary stories and people talking about ghost videos while I draw. I like ghost hunting shows and knowing that most of them are faked doesn't ruin it for me, it's still fun.

HOWEVER I am firm believer that if you stage a ghost video, you should state it somewhere. Personally I don't think it ruins the immersion, horror movies are still scary even though you know they were made on a set with actors. If you keep insisting something staged is real you could negatively impact people prone to paranoia for example.

Plus it's just generally very scammy, a lot of those people will claim a mentally ill or neurodivergent person is possessed/ a literal demon or use a real life tragedy to explain why a cupboard in their house suddenly swung open.

One thing they don't tell you about the Senshi tulpa that WILL inevitably manifest in your mind to tell you to eat better is that. Every time I make myself a coffee via kuerig instantly, I can hear him. Lamenting the fact that I have become so accustomed to convenience and ease that even a standard coffee machine has become foreign to me. I am thinking about how to make coffee without use of a machine in the first place, I am wondering where my french press went, I can see him. In my mind. Showing me how to make coffee in The Dungeon.
