Can we talk about the potential weird implications that Enia was the wet nurse to Morgott. It's just a weird connection thing that hit me and idk if there's anything else that ruins it but I find it strange the two items Margit gives you are the talisman pouch and a viridian amber medallion.
The bit about being a wet nurse is so out of pocket and random but it's so fucking important because let's say Enia WAS morgotts wet nurse, that means he spent time in the capital before going under. I see a lot of people point out other omens don't speak or act stupid or whatever while mohg and morgott speak and act like they got a formal education.
The medallion in connection to the pouch is a tad heartbreaking
Not saying Godfrey himself gifted it to him, but there's a good chance it was. If Godfrey had never acknowledged his son at his death this would mean nothing but he did and it does. Did mohg and morgott get time in the capital with his father before they were thrown into the sewers? Did Godfrey actually hide his sons away in secret so Marika wouldn't know?
Margit giving you a talisman pouch could either mean Enia gifted one to him if he ever attempted to become a Lord or it was given to him by birthright because he is Godfrey's child. Since we have no reason to suspect it was godwyn mostly because y'know, godwyn is dead and he doesn't give you an item, and no other demigod gives you a talisman pouch, with the final pouch being given to you by the spectral Godfrey that was more than likely projected by morgott. So morgott gives you TWO pouches. One for himself and perhaps one that used to belong to his twin brother?
Maybe that's why Enia, despite her position, is all about doing what you think is right even if it goes against order and reason. Imagining Godfrey asking Enia to please care for his two cursed children in secret and Enia, regardless of her position, says yes. It makes me sad. Morgott and mohg HAD a life and it was taken away. And Enia helps you, the tarnished, up until the very end...even if it means her certain death.
Or I could just be overanalyzing again but then where's the fun in that.

I think my favorite part of the dlc’s final boss is how it (can) directly mirror your Tarnished, and by extension, their relationship with Ranni. Obviously, this is coming from me, your resident Ranni glazer who will make everything about her if I can, so please understand this is my interpretation.
My interpretation is that Miquella/Radahn act as a foil to Ranni/Tarnished, specifically when it comes to the themes of love, consent, and freewill. Now, I know it’s up in the air about how consenual the pact between Radahn and Miquella is. Personally, I see it as non-consensual; Miquella resurrected and controls a puppet of Radahn and/or bewitched him to be his “promised consort.” Given the theme of control with Miquella, I don’t think FromSoft would turn that around on us at the last second. Radahn’s situation is meant to be the final nail in the coffin; a demonstration of what Miquella’s “love” exactly means. Total control over one’s entire self and mind. Anyway, I digress, let’s get into how I see their situation mirroring, and acting as the antithesis, to Ranni and Tarnished.
First, we’ll examine Miquella and Radahn. Miquella is presented almost throughout the entire game as a beloved figure. He is literally called “Miquella the Kind,” and his actions at the Haligtree paint him as an even more heroic figure. A demi-god who wants to help the weak, the oppressed, and anyone in between who has been scorned by the Golden Order. As we discover in the DLC, Miquella wants to create an “Age of Compassion.” But there’s always a catch, and Miquella’s plan is no exception. Why? Because his new age would remove the free will of everyone by giving him total control of how they feel, act, etc. He’ll make them happy and at peace because they’ll have no choice; they’ll have no self. This is exemplified in literal form with Radahn. The relationship between the two brothers presents itself as a one-sided obsession on Miquella’s part. Though we don't know a ton about them together, I think it’s safe to theorize Radahn didn’t willingly go along with Miquella’s plan. Radahn is canonically a fan of the Golden Order given his admiration of Godfrey and his father, Radagon. I can’t see him wanting to disrupt the current way of things. Plus, I don’t believe Maleania and Radahn would stage a fake war just to get Radahn into a position where he could be resurrected via Mohg. Too many hoops to jump through, so Occam’s Razor says Radahn rejected Miquella.
Now that’s great and all, but the real meat I want to analyze comes from the actual boss fight, or more specifically, the twos’ body language during the fight. Radahn is an empty shell. He doesn’t have any dialouge aside from small grunts. He doesn’t address us at all, which is entirely unlikely for how he’s been described. He’s a ferocious warlord who values the strength of both his allies and enemies. At the very least, he would address someone as prolific and talented as the PC Tarnished. Yet, he doesn’t. Radahn is literally there to act as “the muscle;” he is the strong and powerful lord that Miquella admired him to be. However, by making Radahn only act like this, Miquella has erased the true essence of what made Radahn. He lacks his soul. Miquella might be the more interesting of the two when it comes to body language. I think Miquella’s theme of control really shines with how he places himself on Radahn during the battle. He is literally draped over Radahn with his arms wrapped around his neck. Obviously, at first glance this is meant to imitate an embrace, solidifying the two as both a team and lovers. Yet, Miquella’s position doubles in meaning when considering his need to control. The arms could represent a collar, with Miquella acting as the leash. His hovering gives off a “helicopter” vibe (for a lack of a better term). While playing I called him a “helicopter parent,” comparing him to where they are constantly looking over your shoulder and trying to direct you. Essentially, Miquella is caging Radahn in his embrace, revealing his need to control the situation and Radahn himself. Miquella is the personification of control; he won’t allow free will to happen because he thinks it causes too much pain and uncertainties. And Radahn, he embodies the fate of those who would live under the Age of Compassion; he is a puppet. Specifically, he is Miquella’s puppet in both battle and love. He doesn’t have a choice in the matter at all.
So, how is this the antithesis to our beloved blue wife and the Tarnished? Ranni doesn’t appear to help the Tarnished during their fight with the duo, which I’ve seen a few complain about. While I would love to fight alongside my support princess (and I have downloaded the mod lol), I think Ranni appearing would undermine the character FromSoft has established and her relationship with the Tarnished. Ranni is very hands off. She gives her vassals the tools to work with and then tells them to do what they wish with it. She never forces you to do anything you don’t want to. When you confront her about her role in the death of Godwyn, she willingly admits it and then asks you if you’d like to pledge service to her. She doesn’t say, “You know my secrets, therefore you will be in my service so I can keep an eye on you.” Instead, it’s a choice; a choice for someone far below her in class and power, but she gives it to you nonetheless. For Ranni, the ability to choose and live the way you desire is incredibly important. She seems to dislike outside forces messing with the ability to expereince life (as she says feel, see, taste, etc).
Therefore, in the final battle with Miquella and Radahn, Ranni is there with you via the tools she’s provided and the faith she has in you (you can interpret this as her blessing with the “we will see each other once more”). She doesn’t need to be hovering over you, arms wrapped around your neck; she trusts the Tarnished above all else to succeed and fight for her. But should they choose not to, she’ll be heartbroken but she won’t stop you. As for the Tarnished, our character is not a shell of a person. They are someone teeming with ambition and the will to fight for their chosen successor. They fight because they want to be there and challenge whatever comes to face them; they don’t need Ranni telling them “go fight Miquella and Radahn for me pls.”
Their “Age of the Dark Moon” also is the antithesis to Miquella’s “Age of Compassion.” Whereas his is about control, Ranni wants to remove all outer god influence from the world. She wants people to experience their lives without the intervention of any god; to experience life on their own terms, whether they want otherworldly guidance or not. She literally takes her order and leaves the planet (?) with it and you.
Ok, that’s enough of me rambling about whatever the fuck comes to my sleep deprived mind. I have a flight to catch in three hours, so I’m gonna leave it here. In closing, Ranni good I love her very much mwah<3

MK-S: (Unmarked talk about the final boss of the Elden Ring DLC ahead, but you already know about him. This warning is more for anyone else reading. Though feel free to PM me if you’d like me to resubmit this ask with any redactions, if you want to respond but don’t want the spoilers mentions, as I just saw you were censoring spoiler information.)
I was randomly thinking one day and decided to give myself a challenge to defend Miquella’s actions. (I don’t agree with them, but that’s what makes it a challenge; trying to think of things in a different way, and see if I can stumble across new ideas/theories in the process.) That’s when I realized something, and I’ll start a new paragraph for dramatic effect and intro. (Please keep in mind this isn’t my “headcanon”, but rather a possible “interpretation” of events.)
I had wondered for the longest time how Miquella’s “eternal youth” could be considered a curse. On its surface, it seems more like a minor inconvenience, especially compared to Rot. But as I was thinking about Miquella’s actions and this notion, a thought struck me: What it’s not just his body that was eternally young, but his mind/maturity? Physically unable to emotionally mature, and being stuck with a child’s outlook of the world. Now THAT could definitely qualify as more of a curse. And makes events take on a tragic new light.
Miquella seems to want to help people, like a kindly child, but he’s not able to truly grasp concepts like the importance of choice and free will. So in his mind, if he wants people to stop fighting and get along, the simplest thing to do is brainwash them and then problem solved, they stopped fighting each other. But he fails to truly grasp that he took something important from them.
Come think of it, maybe that’s what his promise with Rahdan was; if a truly young Miquella, as in only 12 years old and named an Empyrean, a god to be, sought comfort from his older half brother Rahdan, Rahdan may have made an offhand promise or agreement to help calm the distressed child. But since, under this interpretation, Miquella remains immature, then like other children he just operates under the mindset of “a promise is a promise”. So when Rahdan doesn’t follow through on a promise he didn’t really mean, or even thought was taken seriously, Miquella throws a tantrum and sends Malenia after him.
No wonder Malenia describes him as “the most fearsome Empyrean of all”; He has all these powers, he’s a genius as evidenced by the spells he’s created along with the Needle, and he’s too emotionally immature to be responsible with his gifts.
Hope this was entertaining to read. Again, I’m not saying nor suggesting “this is official, how it’s meant to be”, but just thinking about a different interpretation of the circumstances, and how those interpretations result in new stories and motivations. Good day to you!
See when it comes to Miquella I have many thoughts, especially with the vow he and Radahn made.
While I certainy see and understand the argument that perhaps his eternal youth also refers to his emotional maturity and mental state, I'm not a fan. But that's more a personal thing.
I feel like something that helps a lot with understanding him is the fact that he and Ranni are very clear parallels/foils in terms of their characters.
Unless of course someone doesn't understand Ranni either, in which case we get the takes such as "They're both evil but Ranni gets excused because she's hot" lmfao
They're both Empyreans, possible canidates to succeed Marika and become a god and when you think about it they take quite similiar paths in the end.
Ranni -> Orchestrates the Night of Black Knives in which she uses her step-half brother Godwyn to rid herself of her empyrean flesh -> Radahn and the Radahn festival play a key role -> The Tarnished essentially becomes her Promised Consort -> Age of Stars
Miquella -> Bewitched his half brother Mohg to use him for his plan -> rids himself of his empyrean flesh -> Radahn and the Radahn festival play a key role -> Promised Consort Radahn / Radahn Consort of Miquella -> Age of Compassion (Had he suceeded)
And there's of course the two most important points:
A god who forces his will onto the people, a god who grants the people true free will and their perception of love.
Love is something natural to Miquella. Love and affection are given to him freely by so many, for him love may very well have been taken granted, and why shouldn't he? Like I said everyone loved him, gave it to him freely as if it's the easiest thing in the world. And why shouldn't someone who's kind at heart wish to share this with the world? To unite all beings in a kind, gentler world.
And then he make his gravest mistake: to abandon his kindess and love. To rid himself not just of his flesh, but of the very thing he had promised to use to make the world better.
But he still wants to lead the world into an age of compassion, of love! And if someone rejects his love? Well, he'll just make them accept, makes them love him. It's better for their own good if he is the one who makes this choice for them.
Yet the truth is: What meaning holds "love" and a supposed "Age of Compassion" forced upon you by a god that cannot even love anymore?
But to Ranni? Oh to Ranni love is a precious thing. She's a carian, and boy, carians simply love at their very core. From Rennala, to Rellana, Rykard, Radahn, Ranni herself and even Blaidd: They all love. She loved and trusted her brothers, she loves Blaidd and Iji, sounds guilty when she speaks about how much they're both willing to give her, she chooses the Tarnished as her consort and let's them hold her heart in their palms. She does not give her love out lightly, because it is a precious thing, but she treasures it.
And on top of that she stands for the right to choose, to dictate your own fate without any god or order forcing their will onto you, to not be controlled by these things. That's the order she envisons, led by the moon into the dark night and far away from the world. Even if it means facing uncertainty amd being afraid, from that day on the people will have the chance to truly choose their fates without gods.
And this shows with their chosen consorts too.
Although they made a vow, it is entirely possible Radahn did not actually want to be part of this after the Shattering (unless I'm missing something), which possibly may have led to the Battle of Aeonia and could explain Malenia's line "Miquella awaits thee, O Promised Consort" right before she blooms. Even more so because I vaguely recall hearing something about Jerren and Radahn having made a promise to have Radahn die an honourable death at the Festival.
If that is the case, and the Consort Radahn we face may as well be charmed like Mohg was (it is his body too so like...) it yet again parallels with Ranni.
Because Ranni chooses the Tarnished, we are her only choice, and yet she does not force them. In fact, Ranni does everything in her power to ensure the Tarnished is well aware of everything even before she gives them the key, as shown through the conversations during the hunt for the Shadow in Nokstella. Hell, the ring itself holds a warning!!
Yet even after all of that, she still makes sure to let us know what the Age of Stars entails.
She has made her choice, and she chose us and she has been open and honest so that we can make a choice too.
I have said this before but all things considered, especislly the nature of the ring, the game could've easily locked us in the Age of Stars ending but it doesn't. And it is extremely reflective of Ranni as a character. She will not ever force us to do anything even if it means losing the chance to realize her order, even if it means experiencing heartbreak, well aware of what it can do.
Fate and love are things not to be forced no matter what, they are choices, because Ranni may have rid herself of her flesh, may be ready to betray everything, but she still holds onto her heart, her ideals, her love and the ability to love.
To Miquella love is a means to an end, a weapon if need be, and the right to choose does not matter anymore, because he not just rid himself of his flesh but of his love and ability to love. In the name of achieving godhood he has lost himself, he is but a husk with the empty ambition to fulfill a child's dream.
The worst part? Saint Trina, the part that was his love begs you to kill him, because godhood would be a prison for him.
Miquella is not evil, nor is he good.
Miquella is a tragedy.

Chapter summary: Lord Mohg summons Varré at the Mohgwyn dynasty palace to discuss something of great significance.
Warnings: creepy undertones, possessiveness, the whole Mohgwyn dynasty and Mohg lore are their own warning.
This story is soon to contain g/t stuff, so if that's not your thing it's in your best interest to click away! Thank thee kindly~

Varré had to hurry. Unanticipatedly, his Lord had requested his presence at the Mohgwyn Dynasty Palace.
He quickly scanned the damp, marshy area surrounding the Rose Church to see if someone was either coming or looking his way, before teleporting inside the mausoleum; all thanks to his Pureblood Knight's medal that he always had on him.
As he appeared, a Sanguine Noble was already expecting him to escort him to the throne room.
The walk was silent. Only his own footsteps echoed in the corridor, the taller creature not making a single sound as it was leading the way.
Varré had no idea why the Luminary had planned a private meeting with him, all of a sudden.
Thankfully he was not too busy at the moment, and he even had just cleaned his dirty gloves and changed his vest. Lord Mohg wouldn’t have most likely minded the bloodspots on the clothes, but nothing matters more than the respect before someone so close to the divine.
When they reached the entrance to the vast room, the Sanguine Noble behind him slowly disappeared, sinking ominously into a pool of blood.
The war surgeon took a couple of deep breaths. He had nothing to fear.
He was proud of his role in the upcoming birth of the dynasty, nobody deserved praises more than him. So many Knights of Blood anointed and strayed away from the utter misguiding path of the Two Fingers, all his own work. Never-ending offerings of blood to the Divinity, they could fill a bottomless ocean with it.
That being said though, the Luminary rarely requested to speak with him personally. Interrupting his own slumber besides the Divinity.
Must be a very important matter, no doubt.
He trusted his Lord with all his heart. He trusted him even more than he did himself.
Draped in his usual elegant, elaborated robe, the one-eyed Omen awaited for him at the bottom of the throne room.
“My sublime Lord” the white mask said, bowing deeply. “Have you asked to see me?” he continued, maintaining the bow and looking down still.
“I have, dear Varré. You may approach now” the demigod commanded him. Trident in one hand, he raised a clawed finger to call him forth.
The surgeon’s eyes followed his master’s movement and stood up, making his way towards him. He wondered if the Luminary could feel the slight nervousness in his stride. Despite the unusual call, the cursed son of Queen Marika looked very pleased, even smirking as his servant was coming closer.
“You might be wondering why I have wished to summon you today, on this fine afternoon” the monarch broke the silence, placing his large hand on Varré’s shoulders. The latter nodded, definitely impressed by his Lord’s courtesy.
“Yes, oh Luminary. Is something the matter?” the surgeon inquired, with a concerned tone.
“Oh no, no. Not at all. For now, at least.” The Lord looked down at him with his single dark yellow eye, inquisitively.
“I have learned that you have befriended a maidenless Tarnished. A lowborn woman, riding a spirit steed, that often comes to visit and chat with you. She must treat you so nicely. What a sweetheart.”
When the Luminary mentioned her, the usually very composed surgeon couldn’t help but blush subtly under his mask. His Lord never ceased to impress him, he already knew about her!
“An unique breed indeed. One that was able to even strike down a shardbearer demigod and gather a Great Rune of the shattered Elden Ring. I can feel she is going to grow even more powerful as the days go by. No other Tarnished but Roundtable Knight Vyke the Dragonspear was ever close to accomplish such a feat.”
“Oh yes my Luminary, there is plenty of potential within her. As of now, I’m currently working on making her one of the finest Knights of Blood. She is still to be introduced to the trails, but she’s equal to an early rose bud. With the right amount of love, attention and patience she is soon to be ready to join the ranks, I am sure.”
“Have you discussed about this with her though? Brought it up to her, at least” the Lord asked his emissary.
“Not just yet. I have left a note for her to meet me at the Rose Church in the western side of Liurnia of the Lakes, she shouldn’t be late. I have no doubt she already had her audience with the Two Fingers at the Roundtable Hold, and has already made up her mind about them and their sincerity.”
At that the demigod burst out laughing, as if he had heard the most hilarious joke in hundreds of years.
“Since my very first day of life, I have never known someone who found those nasty, hairy bags of meat appealing in any kind of way! So I trust she will be of the same opinion as I.”
The white mask faintly smiled at that, imagining how Valyssa would react upon that revolting sight.
“Staying on topic. I can tell that you’re getting fond of her… Isn’t that right?”
The man's cheeks and temples suddenly got a darker pink, the otherwise cold throne room starting to feel warmer and warmer. His low gaze gave away the already obvious answer.
The Lord of Blood’s grin grew wider at the surgeon’s reaction.
“Just as I thought. Well, I have a suggestion for you. Listen closely” the Omen said, leaning down towards Varré’s ear so he could hear him whisper loud and clear.
“If you are so adamant in craving something for yourself, because you believe you truly deserve it… Go ahead and claim it. Take it. It yours to have.”
The sentence itself made the white mask freeze for a moment. He hadn’t thought about… the next steps yet, but now that Lord Mohg had mentioned it… The sudden idea of being so intimate with his beloved, oh-so-strong Tarnished was sending positive responses to his brain and body.
“A-a very wise advice my Lord, but I fear… She might be oblivious still and may need some time before mutual feelings grow solidly within her as well.”
The enormous Omen hummed at his servant’s reasoning, but was not at all preoccupied.
“That doesn’t really matter. I encourage you to take action nonetheless. She’s has all the potential to be a perfect match for you, but you have to assert your right to her first before someone else does.”
Varré immediately nodded at that, his head leaning forward submissively.
“Of course my Lord. My deepest apologies for thinking otherwise.”
“No need. If you’re ever overwhelmed by doubts about pursuing your most profound desires, just remind yourself about dearest Miquella and I.”
Mohg sighed deeply, turning away from the surgeon to take the big withered hand that dangled from the cocoon in his, and peck the ring that adorned it.
“As soon as I brought him home, there hasn’t been a single time where I wasn’t dedicating myself to him and the whole dynasty. And now, thanks to your countless efforts and mine, he’s grown majestically and his awakening is fast approaching. And when the time is ripe, a new era, an era of Blood and Love will begin.”
He then pulled away with a faint frown, letting go of the hand in a reluctant way to face Varré again.
“Everything that I’ve done, was to his sake. So there is no doubt your Tarnished would understand, if you rushed to her aid when she needs you the most. Nobody shies away at the purest forms of love, that are care and comfort.”
The man in the white mask nodded in agreement.
“That is true, my Lord. Even the most primitive creatures instinctively seek for a refuge and the company of their own peers. In regards to the maidenless Tarnished, I will see that she is never to feel loneliness in this world.”
“Good. One more thing, though” the cursed Omen said, his tone suddenly turning more serious than before.
“As you know very well already, like the naïve, uninfluenced Tarnished that she is, she is blindly following the guidance of grace in order to locate the other shardbearers, and strip them of their Great Runes to restore the Elden Ring and become Elden Lord.”
“Of course, oh Luminary. Her next destination would be the Academy of Raya Lucaria, where it is rumored-“
“Yes, yes, but that’s not too relevant” the Omen interrupted him.
“She may travel there, if she wants, and even try to gather all the other Great Runes she earns for. The other demigods aren’t as puny and desperate for power as the late decrepit Godrick, so she might think twice about taking on them” he continued.
“And I trust that your teachings will take root splendidly within her, and show her the real path to the loyalty to the dynasty. So that she will abandon the guidance of the Two Fingers and by that, the desire to rule over the Lands Between as well.”
“But… If she were to find her way underground and reach this place in search of my own Great Rune, or if my precious Miquella’s safety was put at risk…”
The Lord of Blood’s grip on Varré’s shoulders tightened. It was not too unbearable, but it still made the surgeon's eyes widen for a second.
“It is your job to tend to that, with no hesitation, if it were to ever happen. The responsibility is yours, and I believe you don’t need further reminders.”
The man quickly shook his head at that. By then, Lord Mohg released the grip and removed the hand entirely, letting the white mask release the tension in his muscles. A relief.
Though a clawed finger made its way under his chin, gently forcing him to look straight up to his Lord’s horned visage.
“Fret not. There will be one day where you will be rewarded immensely for your hard labor and dedication to the dynasty. The strength and love I promised are not too out reach now, and if all goes well… You may even join that Tarnished in wedlock, if you so please.”
Varré’s gaze brightened up at the Luminary.
“It may be quite early to discuss this my Lord, but I’ll definitely consider the idea. It’s magnificent indeed.”
“Excellent. Well then, you’re free to go. I believe that Tarnished is heading to the Rose Church as we speak. It would be a real pity if you made her wait."
With that, the demigod finally retracted his long digit away from the man's chin.
"Besides, I have left dearest Miquella alone for a while now, I must reunite with him in his slumber. Bless the Mohgwyn dynasty with love, Varré.”
“Bless the Mohgwyn dynasty with love, my Lord” the surgeon replied back, as he bowed again.
His master smirked one last time before swinging his trident. A wave of vibrant blood surrounded his form and he disappeared inside, forming a small pool than slowly slithered inside the cocoon with the withered arm.
The white mask took a deep breath again.
That definitely went better than expected.
He still felt his cheeks burning underneath the marble.
Me? Wedding Valyssa?
He appreciated the Luminary’s invaluable concern and his ever-brilliant idea, but that was only a very distant thought for the moment.
We should focus more now on the initiation trials, and if it is really meant to be then she will succeed. The real challenge for her will be taming the Luminary’s blood…
He sighed one more time.
None of his beloved partners, regardless of their strength, had remained sane after being exposed to the noble blood. Turned in Bloody Fingers, their madness had caused them to lose themselves in the bloodlust.
His chest ached at the painful memories.
But she is different than the rest. I know it. A desperate, hopeful thought.
I doubt she also will attempt at usurping the Lord. She is so much better than that.
He shook his head, biting his lip.
No, that is not going to happen. He will make sure of that.
Plus, she had been so receptive to his words thus far... It’d be such a waste to throw all of that away, just to follow her own ill-advised ambitions.
She can’t be that foolish. And Luminary Mohg has never been wrong about possible love candidates. He is just making sure there are no hindrances when the Mohgwyn dynasty properly commences.
After all, it is the most important priority. Nothing else comes first.
… Though he couldn’t deny that the thought of holding her in his arms, taking in all her warmth as they laid in their own bedroom, was extremely delightful as well.
He found himself daydreaming, before realizing she would arrive at the Rose Church very soon and he had to be on his way himself. What kind of lover invites their paramour to a tryst, and then shows up late?
He chuckled at the thought, and recovered his Pureblood Knight's medal from one of his pouches and activated it; its red trident emblem sending him to the designed destination.
Once he was back in Liurnia, he made sure to reappear behind the crumbling building of the church, so that if she were to be there already she wouldn’t notice him at first glance.
Thankfully though, there was no sign of her yet, nor he could hear someone galloping towards his direction.
Wonderful. Praise the Luminary, he didn’t get lost in his train of thoughts too much to delay his arrival.
The man smiled behind the white mask, and got in position near the entrance to the church.

Choosing violence maybe for 13 and 25? For whichever fandom you have something to say about
I chose violence
13. worst blorboficiation Oh, how fun! I think we could do this for almost every listed fandom ^^ In Dark Souls it is probably Gwyndolin and I have to admit, I am not completely free of guilt of this, but I still fully lean into them having daddy issues and wanting the cycle to continue, I just portray them a bit more sympatethic in the matter, as feeling as if this is the only choice, what they were raised for etc etc. But I also see people write Gwyndolin as this innocent baby angel and not as the last child of Gwyn who is kinda behind the plot of the first Dark Souls. There is some pride in Gwyndolin and we should portray them accurately. Or not. Do what you guys want ^^ I just wanted to point stuff out. Hmmm, in Bloodborne... probably Micolash. I see a lot of people kinda... not leaning into Micolash being batshit insane. If you now point at me and say "Little, your Micolash is a quirky shameless innocent boy", that is Byrgenwerth era Micolash who is like 15 years old and hasn't even thought about the atrocities he will commit! I swear, if I would write canon Micolash, he would be a LOT different. I actually should write him. I never tried and he is so interesting! For Hollow Knight it is Grimm imo. He gets flanderized a lot. He is either the gay uncle or ship material but rarely, very rarely is he the Higher Being he is in canon. I admit I write Grimm as a major troll in my own fic, Off Balance, but he still is a god in this, following his own plan from the start. He never agreed to help PK from the good of his heart and while his plan is ultimately for the sake of another one, I still think I did him justice. I hope ^^ Elden Ring. I don't even have to think about it. Mohg and Morgott! Mohg oftentimes feels like his canon gets completely ignored and shoved under the rug (and if you do this, fine, I get the character makes people uncomfy). But I think Morgott is even worse. Yes, I like Morgott as well and I lean fully into his whole self hating and learning to love himself fanon, but... guys, sometimes I feel you forgot that he canonically killed dozens and dozens of Tarnished, had an order under his command that hunted Tarnished and pretty much is NOT a friend to your Tarnished in canon at ALL. Please, lean more into Morgott that is so into the grip of the Golden Order if you try to write him in canon. Okay and now I probably upset a lot of people. These are just my own opinions. You can blorbofy your blorbos as much as you want. I won't and can't stop you. I might just not read your fic or your comic, that is all. Alright, nobody is offended here, right? I am sure guilty of my own blorbofications ^^
25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing Hmmmm... good question. I rarely look at complaints and when it comes to Dark Souls, it isn't a fandom complaint I am sick of hearing, but the "easy mode" crowd. I am not even AGAINST easy modes, but Dark Souls difficulty is so much ingrained into the lore that taking it away would be a really big detriment to the game. For Bloodborne it is easy. Gehrman haters. Please, leave the old man in peace. He chose a fucked up way to grieve someone that he either loved romantically or as a daughter. Canon never does say that he did anything to the doll! If all, the lore implies that he mostly ignores her. Hollow Knight. That PK and Radi are colonizers. Where does that idea even come from?! If you follow the lore, Radi was there first and then PK came and then they had a battle about followers. It wasn't even a bloody battle, nowhere in the lore does it say that countless bugs died or such, it was more so that PK managed to gain more followers and that led to the whole disaster. What they are both guilty of is supressing the void culture, I suppose, but there was also no mention of killing. The whole killing only happened once the infection came into place. Elden Ring. That is also a no-brainer. The whole people who are denying that Mohg is romantically involved with Miquella. If you see it as consentual or non-consentual, Mohg is completely infatuated with Miquella. Nobody who would want to have power would cradle a hand like that and speak that softly. Okay, I think I talked enough ^^ Again, these opinions are my own. If you don't agree with them, that is fine. I am not mad at you. You have a right to have your own opinions and headcanons, even though I don't agree with them.

15 Lines of Dialogue
Rules: Share 15 or fewer lines of dialogue from an OC, ideally lines that capture the character/personality/vibe of the OC. Bonus points for just using the dialogue without other details about the scene, but you're free to include those as well! Tagged by: @yellowfingcr and @rotten-pest (thank you both!) Tagging: @pythosblathers @nukeloop @deadwooddross @lulzyrobot annnddd YOU!
"... Oh. Hello. I hope I didn't frighten you. I didn't think I'd see anyone else up here."
"What is that look for-? Ah, was this voice not what you expected to hear? I'm sorry if you find that disappointing."
"I am Nepenthe. Perhaps my choice of attire clues you into my inclination towards medicine? I would not seek to hurt you, no need to worry."
"You look injured. I can help. Just stay still..."
[ If attacked ] "Ow." ... "Stop it." ... "Fine."
[ On player kill ] "Euthanized, like a rabid dog. Do not seek me out again."
[ On death ] "O, mercy."
"Well met again, Tarnished. I've heard that you have had the distinct pleasure of becoming a knight under Lord Mohg? ... How nice. You must feel very honored."
"Not many make the cut. But I would be a poor physician if I didn't warn you of the potential side effects. The blood that runs within you now; it burns hot, doesn't it? Take care that you don't lose yourself to it. As many others have before you."
"... Do I doubt the coming of the new Dynasty? The certainty of our Lord? No, of course not. I am merely being pragmatic. Take care."
"Oh. Oh, no, Tarnished. How did even you find this place? You aren't supposed to be here. You can't be here."
"Please, heed me. Nothing good will come of your decision to linger. Whatever it is you are looking for, I promise that you can find it elsewhere."
"I see that you have remained regardless of what I have told you. I suppose it can't be helped. If I could ask something of you?"
"I know you must see me as monstrous. I beg you still- don't cause any more bloodshed than necessary. Claim Mohg's Great Rune if you must, but spare my cohort. The White Masks. Please."
"They never deserved any of this."
#[Hope you guys don't mind me tagging you in a funny oc meme... thought it might be fun for u if you wanna do it]#[I had a good time thinking about this tbh though I'm not sure how good I am at nailing the soulsborne dialogue vibe]#[In true ER NPC fashion I imagine Nepenthe has a bad ending regardless of what you decide to do]#meme

Would it be alright to ask for a HC of a Hunter from Bloodborne somehow thrown in the Lands Between?
A Tarnished Good Hunter would be... interesting (... Though then again, so are the other Fromsoft protags) and to be more precise, one that achieved Childhood Beginnings.
Probably going to have some weird but-not-in-a-bad way vibes with Ranni and Rennala for their affinity with the moon and a cautionary one regarding Mohg and Varré.
Hello, hello, anon. And... oooh shit. Interesting. Let's see what I can do here.
Without further ado (I'll only add so much because I could probably go on... and go on... and go on some more):
"I don't think we're in the Hoonter's Hunter's Dream anymore..."
It's... pretty, this new place the Hunter is in. And kinda peaceful. At least they don't feel like they're always being watched.
The Hunter avoids Iosefka Varré like the plague. For reasons. May slip up and call him the wrong name, too. Whoops.
Maiden? Uh, sure. Anything to get them home. Um... thanks for the horse?
Torrent is actually kind of adorable. The Doll would've loved to pet him.
Wait, is that... a Cleric Beast? Since when the hell could Cleric Beasts talk? Much less wield a sword/staff and a giant ass hammer? (This is in regards to Morgott and the Omens, please forgive the good Hoonter)
Roundtable Hold? Well, it seems so much more organized and not so insane as the ch—oh good heavens, it's Adella (Corhyn and D) and Arianna (Fia) all over again.
Fia has nice hugs, though.
Fuck you, Patches. They fell for that trick again once.
Hm. At least their Doll is a little nicer and not so calculated... (Regarding Ranni)
*Sees Blaidd* *Father Gascoigne intensifies*
Rennala is giving them Queen Yharnam and Annalise vibes. At least they don't have to bow.
"O Death. Become my blade once more—" Oh Vicar Amelia, your voice has gotten deeeeeep... Wait, when did she get a sword? shitshitshitshit—
*Sees Astel* *Laments in Moon Presence and Amygdala*
Will never attend another Radahn festival again because what kind of festival was that? Um, good hoonter...
*Comes across a slumbering Malenia.* A corpse should be left well alone— *Turns and runs walks right back out*
May or may not be initially paranoid about Boggart and his prawn. Then says fuck it, what could possibly go wrong? Not a damn thing because shit, this is better than anything they've had since coming to the Lands Between. And since coming to Yharnam, too.
Extra crackcanon:
The Hunter gets attacked by a Giant Land Octopus. Huh. Two can play at that game. *chuckles in Augur of Ebrietas* ...Wait, where the fuck did the giant crab come from?
#bloodborne#elden ring#elden crack.#crackcanon.#eldenborne#uh... i didn't expect it to turn out like this.#don't... uh... don't pay me any mind with this. at all.

I'm sorry but I'm so salty that Elden Ring doesn't let us marry Mohg. Let me become a Deity / Elden Lord and have him as my consort dammit.
Hear me out, Elden Ring but with Mohg ending / route :
✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧
1) Poor Miquella is freed, and you have a quest to bring him back to his sister. Understandably, Malenia isn't pleased with the fact that her brother was kidnapped so she tries to kill you. You have the option to spare her, and Miquella helps her keep her Rot Goddess form under control. If you speak to her she spits all of her disdain on you.
But before all of that you have to awake and fight a Cursed blood-corrupted Miquella. Only after being beaten he reverts to his original form.
✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧
2) Bonus sidequest : You help Varré so his Mohg-senpai *finally* notices him. He becomes your bloody maiden. He acts more respectful, but his politeness barely contains his sass. He calls you My Lord/Lady/Liege, but sometimes "Lambkin" slips out.
(Is this important for the overall plot and lore of Elden Ring ? Absolutely not. But let me push my Varré/Tarnished/Mogh poly couple agenda ok x3)
✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧
3) You have unique dialogue with a lot of NPC, especially Morgott - who somehow can be spared:
"Thou are but a foolish Tarnished, undeserving of Mohg's favors. Although his blood is tainted by the Curse and he disowned the Golden Order, he's a worthy heir of the Golden Dynasty. What makes you think you're worthy of him ? You, a mere Tarnished pillager. A fake God elevated by the Flame of Ambition, seated on a throne that doesn't belong to you. Thine love for him is nothing but worthless. Still, I'll spare you out of respect for my brother. "
(He's grumpy and salty that you beat him, but deep down he's happy for his twin - Mogh found the true love he was looking for, at last. He'd rather die than say it outloud to you though)
He also makes thinly-veiled death threats, because he thinks that you might betray Mohg : "A foolish Tarnished guided by the flame of ambition knows no loyalty ; your vows to him are as empty as your titles. I'll be the first one to end your miserable life should you betray my brother"
(I just feel like even though him and Mogh are twins, Morgott sees himself as his older brother, and still considers it to be his duty to protect him - even though Mohg can very well fend for himself. Maybe their relationship is strained, maybe they don't understand / approve eachother's choices in life, but you can tell that they care for eachother's well-being.
I mean there's a reason Morgott doesn't mention Mohg when he speaks of traitors to the Golden Order, despite Mohg serving an outer God. I bet if it was anyone else than his twin brother that did the same things, he wouldn't omitt them.)
✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧ ・ ✧
4) You have very awkward dialogues - well, more like silences and stares - with Godfrey
(When the son you abandonned and shackled in a sewer because he was born different ends up being a consort to a God and doing perfectly well in life... So you're happy for him, but at the same time your recently-found-back Grace urges you to slay said God so you can get together again with your ex-wife. So not only you feel guilty for being a dead-beat parent, you also feel guilty for having to destroy his only hope at having a happy life. Hate when that happens.)
#Like I can marry Ranni the Witch but not Mohg ????#Where's the love for my evil Omen meow meow :''(#Also I'm.sorry but I'm having waaay too much fun writing grumpy protective Morgott xD#elden ring#mohg f/o#mohg the omen#luminary mohg#morgott the omen king#long post

Some headcanons for my tarnished oc !! (Name stolen from a Ghost song it just means church)
> Basic description
tarnished of no renown amen
skin kinda sickly yellowish (jaundice?)
hair is swamp green, eyes are red (usually shiny (read: star-excited-happy-delighted-sailor-moon-gif-16337424.gif))
big eye bags mf tired all the time
wears the pureblood knights medal over armor
clothes consist of: (see images attached at bottom for visuals)
simplified version of lord of blood's robe
maliketh's greaves & gauntlets
preceptor's big hat (without mask) (original dark blue altered to fit the color scheme)
>Story? (Obviously doesn't align with my playthrough cuz you cant really choose what to do but this is fiction and I get to make things up as I please)
just here to have fun
no desire to become elden lord
stealth is the only good attribute (master at pussying away from danger)
tried to woo kenneth haight (he was having none of it) (where is the kiss goodbye kenneth)
ran past margit to break into stormveil castle
did actually defeat godrick w/ help of nepheli but also killed gostoc for disrespecting the dead (godrick)
other than nepheli and rennala, accidentally ends up having constant bad relations with women whether it be one sided or mutual
raya lucaria becomes comfort safe space where she can just talk about day to day adventures for hours to rennala
after completing the steps for varre's quest and getting that finger thing injected/broken (whatever he does), absolutely just passed out on the ground (not from pain just clocked out for the day) (varre had to stand there and wait till the mf woke up)
joins the mohgwyn dynasty and becomes a knight for ⛓️𝖑𝖚𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖆𝖗𝖞 𝖒𝖔𝖍𝖌🥀
goes to the radahn festival to "check it out", leaves upon entry just like patches
finds rya and retrieves her necklace, gets invited to volcano manor and goes there but doesn't officially join (loyalties stay w/ mohgwyn)
actual positive relations with a woman (rya bff)
boggart also good friend, goes to him to have dinner together
hears rumors around the mohgwyn mausoleum that mohg's brother is morgott
sneaks into leyndell (seal allows it bc she does have godricks rune & rennala kinda just gave hers up)
beelines to morgott and here come my free writing abilities bc yes i absolutely can just make "talking it out" an option in this fan interpretation
no threat of stealing the throne/harming the tree & hours of convincing later = morgott friend W
visits him often to provide company bc you just know that mf hasn't had a proper conversation with a living being in decades
leaves melina in leyndell as requested but has no means of burning the erdtree so she (melina) just kinda roams free there
at some point makes it to seluvis' rise yes I need to include him in this (oh shit I also forgot about sir gideon I’ll add that after 😦)
makes the dung eater drink the potion because FUCK that guy I need him DEAD
seluvis has no idea, still kinda snarky but thinks his "scheme" worked so impression points raise
seluvis kindaaa??? friend, more of a guy you visit once a week to check up on but need months of interactions to actually break ice with
SIR GIDEON OFNIR THE ALLLLL KNOWING hates her at first
realized he can get knowledge on the lord of blood so opens up the doors to his little library nerd room
after prying for more information for weeks on end, starts becoming more familiar
repeat of kenneth haight where she tries to romance him and he doesn't care (eventually budges a bit)
dunno how to properly end hope you enjoyed
BTW I’ll be posting the Frenzied Flame version w/ its own hcs once I finish the ending !! Expect more content around this oc though ^_^

Got to Morgott, I loved everything about this boss fight, his entrance, his moveset, the phase transition where his cursed blood is released and he’s shamed by it, and his death...... the only thing is, it was way too easy? I don’t know if I was overleveled from doing everything else first (~110 I think), but rocks stunned him fast, and he bled fast, and the phase transition was just another chance to deal a ton of damage on him, I wish he had more health because it seemed fun to learn all his attacks.
Its odd that he lost his omen features when defeated, I’m still not quite sure why? Is the curse somehow lost in death? And reading up on him, for all his dramatic talk, he has so much self-hatred, and pretty much dealt with his cursed blood the opposite of his twin. Mohg fully embraced it and ran off to live his best life with his blood cult, while Morgott denied it and sealed it away and served the Erdtree, the Golden Order than never loved him, but even so he loved it... It looks like he has cut horns on his face, but royal omens don’t have their horns removed, which makes me think it was self-inflicted... its odd that he doesn’t have horns covering the rest of his body either (and his clothes leave little to the imagination) are they somehow sealed away?? Like his sword of cursed blood? Not really sure. Hard to tell if Mohg has horns covering the rest of his body because most of it is covered by his robe, but his head horns are especially extravagant, and he does have a horn that looks like a sixth finger on his left hand.
These two need to balance each other out, Morgott, please have some of your brother’s pride in his cursed blood, don’t hate yourself! Mohg... please have some of your brother’s restraint and uhhh, don’t be evil?
Upon approaching the Erdtree, I was not allowed to enter, so Melina is like... lets burn it! So that’s what we’re going to do, which is apparently a cardinal sin, but even the finger reader seems down with it all the same. Off to the mountaintops for me...
Ahh, and I loved the tower where you activate the omen twins’ runes... There was a surprise mini boss consisting of twin omens, one with full horns, one with cut horns ;A; As if representative of Mohg and Morgott... and I loved seeing their runes side by side... I love the omen twins!
I love the blood cult too much, so I finally added the cult symbol to my forehead... its largely hidden by her bangs (and I wear the war surgeon set 90% of the time) but still satisfying.
Found Diallos again with the jars, I guess he is taking care of them now? Good for him, I really hope nothing bad happens, but its soulsborne so maybe I should fear the worst. I also fought his brother (who has a pretty helm) in the mountaintop, which finished up the manor requests.
So I was finally able to fight Rykard, which was the stormruler fight of the game, but it was actually considerably more challenging than storm king or Yhorm. Phase 1 was largely easy except for one attack I’m still not sure how to dodge that would one shot me... phase two had a good theme and atmosphere and was pretty fun.
And then I found Tanith eating his corpse and now I love her even more, yeah she’s a cool, intimidating masked woman that eats a corpse, how can I not.. but. I cannot believe fromsoft did this to me again (though a little more twisted). The only way to get her set. Which includes the most beautiful mask so far. Is to kill her. As she’s mourning. Yes. Very familiar situation...isn’t it..... my dear Ciaran.... hahahahhHAHAHAH REALLY FROMSOFT??? AGAIN???? IM SO MAD....... But I did it. I fought her knight, not her actually but I did get her set but aghhhhhhh I can’t believe it.... You humans Tarnished, always taking what you please...
The Goldmask quest always looks so funny because we’re just T-posing as Corhyn has a crisis in the background, you okay there? (No he is not)
I had given Zorayas the potion earlier because I didn’t want to kill her, but now I’m not sure should I have just waited it out instead...? She’s back at the now empty manor, with no memories of what she learned, waiting for Tanith ;A; This doesn’t feel right....
And now I’m just exploring the mountaintops, I keep getting weapons I want to use... this time, a death spear that’s actually dex/int (I’m so sad most death stuff needs fai....) and another blood cult weapon, the bloody helice. I kinda want to try Morgott’s sword as well, but it’s a tad too slow for my liking.

Godwyn almost couldn't believe his own eyes when he was given the book. He took one look at it and just knew that had to be it. His old journal. He knew it was ancient now, but something about it still felt so new. It still felt like he had written in it not that long ago.
He took it gingerly in his hands, as if he was afraid it would turn to dust in his hands. His expression painted him shocked to see it again, and in good condition. "Thee hath found mine old journal. I can see why thee wouldst like to celebrate now." He gave Arikos a lopsided smile.
He listens to Arikos encounter with wariness. He wasn't surprised he would come close to being harmed by someone, but it irked him that the person was an omenkiller. An omen killer patrolling the grounds around his old estate, while his omen brother Mohg resides here? Can his brothers not even be safe in their homes inside the walls?
"I thank thee for dealing with them permanently. Hopefully that makes mine brothers safer inside the walls." He couldn't stomach the thought of more being out there. It's no wonder why his brother Mohg or Morgott didn't go outside often whenever he observed Leyendell via deathroot. There were omenkillers stalking about. He couldn't forgive his mother for letting those vile bastards have a place to call home within the sacred walls of Leyendell.
He thinks for a moment about the what has occurred in the Hold while he was absent. "Much has happened, in honesty." He looks towards Fia, now sitting up and able to speak. He seems to subconsciously start to approach her as he's about to talk about her. "Fia hath made great strides in recovery thanks to Frya." He looks towards Fia this time to speak to her. "Thee remember Arikos, yes? Or hath thee met before?"
"I had met with Arikos before." Fia responds softly. Her calm and inviting demeanor in full force, as if she was still working as a deathbed companion. She gives Arikos a warm smile. "I am pleased to see you again, Arikos." She still sounded a bit sleepy.
Godwyn sits next to fia at the edge of the bed. He was holding back showing affection in front of Arikos, like a kiss on the head or a simple stroke through her hair. No, just hold her hand, don't be awkward. "There is also another large event. My father visited the Hold. Caused plenty of chaos as many tarnished swarmed the hold to meet the legend himself." He snickered, but he knows during that time he was struggling. He missed his father so much, and to have him so close by and not being able to reunite with him fully tore him to pieces.
☃ @arikos-of-caelid, with some cider equivalent! :3
@arikos-of-caelid
"It's good to see you again, Verrin." Godwyn spoke behind the guise as he led him into Fia's quarters. While he wasn't fully expecting Arikos to return so soon, it was welcomed. He still felt a tad bit embarrassed by their last encounter, so he would hope this time he would make it less awkward for the both of them with his roller-coaster of emotions. Thankfully, he's feeling more chipper due to Fia making a great leap in recovery thanks to Melina and Frya.
Once he closed the door, hood was off and the guise dropped instantaneously. He spoke more quietly this time. "I hope thy return from the capital was smooth, yes?" He noticed the cider. Was there something to celebrate for?
#arikos of caelid#{ verse: prince of death }#the plot continues with Fia!#sorry if i butchered her character Pendragon
