I've been wondering about the marketing decision to have the Francis Makeship plushie campaign overlap so much with the backerkit campaign, especially since the Angel Cam plushie never passed by Makeship, but. Given how the Mangan Sisters acted with the prototype Cam during the twitch stream, I bet they would feel better about the shared attention, haha.

Thank you! :D Usually when I scan in traditional art, I take a pic of the art with my phone and then adjust the image levels in Photoshop, in order to get a clean background and make sure the colors are accurate. Then I do sharpen the image in Photoshop to get that clean "scanned" look. For quick sketchbook drawings I usually use the app "Cam Scanner" since it does a decent job of creating a scan directly on your phone. :)

OK I realized recently that I pretty for the most part have posted every single drawing I’ve made since. I started really using tumblr lol. But while looking through sketchbooks I realized that a good chunk of the stuff I drew DIDN’T make it onto my tumblr

I can’t check rn but I think for those sketchbooks I was still using primarily my fandom/rp blog and wasn’t actually making drawings to post. So I had like, VERY early versions of ocs that never graced my blog, some of them made into my blog in the form of old art posts but they didn’t have an original post of their own :0

That Family podcast :DISPATCH DISASTERS

At the Batcave..... Jason, Tim, and Damian are huddled around the Batcomputer, snacking while cycling through GCPD body cam footage and scanner recordings. The mood? Pure entertainment.

GCPD Scanner: "Uh, we have a suspect dressed as a clown... possibly THE Joker... requesting backup."

Jason: pauses video, stares at the screen "Possibly? Yeah, maybe it's just a casual Tuesday clown with a death wish."

Tim: sipping coffee "To be fair, Gotham has an unhealthy number of clowns."

Damian: arms crossed "Only one of them leaves riddles and poetry. How are these officers still employed?"

Next clip: GCPD chasing the Riddler on foot. He turns a corner... and vanishes.

GCPD Scanner: "Uh... we've lost the suspect... he, uh... disappeared into an alley."

Dick (walking in, sees the footage): "You let THE RIDDLER outmaneuver you? The guy in green spandex?"

Jason: rewinds "Look at this. He doesn't even RUN. He just... briskly walks. And they still lose him."

Damian: "I am embarrassed for them."

Tim: deadpan "They should be embarrassed for themselves."

Next video: GCPD officers trying to breach a locked door. The officer fumbles with the battering ram... and accidentally knocks himself out.

The Cave goes silent.

Jason: leans back, wiping a tear "This is the best thing I've ever seen."

Tim: rewinds, slow-motion replay "And watch... BAM. Straight into his own face."

Damian: shaking his head "Weak."

GCPD Scanner: "We have reports of a large bat-like figure... possibly The Batman... in pursuit of

Bruce walks in and immediately turns off the Batcomputer.

Bruce: "That's enough of that."

Jason: "Aww, come on, B, we were just getting to the part where they 'possibly' identify Killer Croc as 'some kind of... uh... lizard guy."

Bruce: pinches the bridge of his nose "Go do something productive."

Tim: opening another file "This is productive. We're analyzing GCPD inefficiencies."

Damian: dead serious "Father, you should fire them all."

Bruce: sighs "I don't run the GCPD."

Jason: grinning "You basically do."

Bruce leaves.

The second he's gone,

Jason: "Alright, next up-'GCPD officers mistake mannequin for frozen Mr. Freeze. Presses play again."

Tim & Damian (simultaneously): "Oh, this is gonna be good."

“The events on Onderon were, of course, very much not as we would desire,” Palpatine said, with a slight frown of distaste. “While they ultimately worked out, the consequences could be significant.”

“Of course, Chancellor,” replied the Vice-Chair, Mas Amedda. “Is there anything we will need to do?”

Palpatine barely glanced at the Coruscant Guard clone troopers around the entrance to the executive section of the Senate building. “Perhaps,” he said. “We should especially watch out for the risks posed by large crime syndicates. Such an event could result in serious strain on the Jedi.”

With possible witnesses, there were limits to the sort of thing he would say… but with Mas Amedda, a long-time political ally who knew he was more than he appeared, he could insinuate. And he was quite sure Mas would follow the direction of his thoughts.

“That would be unfortunate,” Mas noted. “Especially if the problems were associated with Mandalore. Obi-Wan Kenobi is closely tied to the planet’s leadership, and it would be inevitable that he’d be sent – and the loss of Master Kenobi would be a major blow to the Jedi.”

Palpatine was about to reply, but as they passed through the doorway something beeped urgently.

“What was that?” he asked.

One of the Coruscant Guard troopers was watching a screen, and he signalled to the rest of the squad. They all pointed their weapons, and the sergeant put a hand to his helmet.

“What is going on?” Palpatine asked. “Explain yourselves! I am the Supreme Chancellor!”

“Routine check, your excellency,” the sergeant said. “After the hostage crisis and intelligence of a possible kidnapping attempt, we set up scanners on the doorways of your chambers. Nobody gets in without a weapon scan.”

“That does not explain why you are holding the Supreme Chancellor and Vice Chair at blasterpoint,” Mas Amedda replied.

That wasn’t actually true. It did explain why Palpatine and Mas were at blasterpoint, because Palpatine carried a lightsaber as a matter of course – a weapon that was well-concealed and difficult to detect, and which wouldn’t show up on any scan keyed to detect blasters.

But apparently the Coruscant Guard was more thorough than that.

“We currently have reason to believe that you may have been replaced by an imposter, your excellency,” the sergeant answered. “And if you haven’t been, we’ll need an explanation for why you’re carrying a lightsaber-”

“Oh, this is tiresome,” Palpatine interrupted. “Execute Order 76.”

The whole clone squad straightened.

“What is your order?” the sergeant asked, his tone flat.

“Have all weapons scanners recalibrated to avoid registering lightsabers,” Palpatine told him. “In addition, forget this conversation and record it as a negative result.”

“It will be done, my lord,” the sergeant replied, still flat, and the troopers stepped aside.

“You had to use the order?” Mas asked.

“Surveillance footage,” Palpatine replied. “If any other clone views any recordings taken of this before I can get them deleted, the effect will be the same.”

“Of course,” Mas realized, as they began walking again. “I bow to your superior skills.”

Some miles away, Keelyvine Reus stared at her screen, which was still displaying the helmet-cam feed from CT-1154-17 ‘Thinner’ as he and his squad quietly returned to their positions – and the clone at the scanner began reprogramming it, deleting certain details from the profiles it used to identify potential weapons in the first place.

When she’d been asked to quietly back up Commander Fox as the Coruscant Guard’s number-one contact for complex situations that might require a Jedi Investigator – as Jedi or investigator – she’d expected a lot… but not this.

“...well,” she said, out loud, thinking. “Order 76 implies other orders. They’re secret enough that I don’t know about them, they override the will of the clones, and the Chancellor knows them…”

It all added up in a very unpleasant way.

She considered, then stood.

This was clearly over her head, and the Council needed to know.

i love taking advantage of my art uni's massive (MASSIVE) scanners for literally anything i can. it's got the most gorgeous grit and scan banding that photoshop trickery cant replicate (though i try lol). so, yes, i literally printed out the b&w flyers, scanned them in, then added color and printed them again to stick on my wall haha.

when digitally adding color, i wanted it to really feel like black ink on colored paper instead of trying to print on color paper and then scan it again (i have done this before idk). i think the xerox-y look is pretty convincing! the green, pink, and purple are my personal favs.

an irl friend suggest i try non-black-ink versions to see what i liked. i think they look cool but some of the text gets a bit lost. still, i like the pale yellow+red ink one. (this almost makes me want to try riso printing this to see what it'd look like 👀👀).

^ this is what the white horse metal barrier edit looked like before I added the Huji Cam filter lol. it wasn't feeling convincing enough like this, so i actually took a photo of my laptop screen with the filter and somehow that looked more real than the actual shot from the show lol. (also, because i've stared at this screenshot for so long, the orange/yellow June 12th poster? is everything on it a reference?? loll)
