trying not to talk too much abt the bear s2 but im Really fuckin frustrated that even with everyone demanding that they’re sooo media literate and sooo smart that no one has talked about claire and the way she sparks audience discomfort. like, she feels out of place within the show because CARMY cannot accept that he is getting this good thing—she feels out of place in HIS life. she’s actually crafted to be the ideal girlfriend, with glowy bokeh lighting in a grocery store and beauty shot close ups and a sweet instrumental leitmotif to show to you, an audience member, that she’s too good to be true in carmys eyes. if you’re an audience member, she raises alarm bells in YOUR head because she raises alarm bells in HIS. he literally tells us that—that’s the crux of his final monologue, that he doesn’t believe he can have the life of food and wines best chef and a life of love and human connection. he doesn’t believe he’s deserving of good things because his family has always been so fucked, because nothing he’s ever tried to hold together has held together—except for his cooking. it’s done this way on purpose, to make you feel that anxiety that he feels around this relationship, and to make you question why you feel it too

Danny and Sam cause chaos at a gala

So Sam is forced to one of her families galas, and Danny is also forced to go because he had convinced Jack and Maddie that it would be good for his future carer

Sam and Danny find this out after complaining to each other, once they realised they were both going to the same gala they started planning

Every member of the Batfam hated galas with a passion and Jason had thought he got out of this one when he got an alert that Joker was crashing Wayne gala

He was annoyed obviously

So he didn't know how to react when as he arrived 2 teenagers were half beating the shit out of joker and half dancing

All the goons were stuck to walls and furniture, and all the gala attendants were perfectly fine, there was also phineas and ferb songs and my little pony songs playing in the background

A girl in a poofy purple dress with knee-high combat boots was dancing to the cartoon songs while stomping on the jokers back

And a black-haired teen in a ripped-up suit with mismatched combat boots was dancing with the girl while kicking the joker's teeth in

He started recording...

Sam and Danny planned for a week, they would sneak in and set up speakers with my little pony and Phineas and Ferb songs, 2 sets of combat boots and a Fenton blaster modified to shoot a glue like substance

So in the middle of the gala Sam and Danny started their playlist

They gave no fucks

For the first 15 minutes, they were just smashing furniture(their rich they can pay) and giving people the finger while dancing with each other to cartoon songs

Then they hopped up on tables and started firing their Fenton blasters everywhere

It was the best

So like hell they were stopping just because Bobo the wannabe clown decided to drop by

thinking about king baldwin iv again, and i have a personal (and also probably extremely ooc (pLEASE DONT COME FOR ME)) headcannon that he’s the type to gift you flowers;

dahlias and roses and stocks and orchids, camellias and amaryllis-es and hydeangeas and tulips, carnations and sunflowers and daisies.

his growing illness confines him to his chambers far too often, and, left alone in an aching solitude that baldwin thinks he should be used to now, he’ll read. and it’s through this - books upon books, pages upon pages, words upon words of so, so many stories he’ll never get to live through - that he discovers the language of flowers.

flowers for sadness, for fear, for anger, for hurt, for love- flowers for a whole language of feelings he doesn’t dare to confess to you.

so instead he leaves them in your chambers, the delicate things, (little confessions on their own) in silk cloth bouquets and pretty-necked vases, in twine-bound bunches and satin soft ribbons, never daring to give them to you in person.

as much as i love the cold asshole mind, childish damsel heart, and silly goofy soul i need the other side of it.

i need mind being vulnerable. let the man do art, give him witt, give him depth to why he needs to be cold, give him a soft empathic side. the cold callous emotionless asshole gets old as much as i love it too.

i need more angry heart. as much as apathy can be seen and felt as an emptyness, it can also become anger, lashing out, let this man go crazy and stupid! i mean he shot mind! who's to say he's not also starting fights with soul?!

trust me when i say i love silly soul as much as the next person, but i need to see people show him a bit more... not evil persay, but more aggressive or even becoming more aggressive over time. so many loops, always so close yet so far, always doomed to fight. it would piss you off too, maybe even make you snap.
