oh my gosh, this is... so lovely.

i’ve just realised yesterday was fanfic writer appreciation day, which i missed bc i’m... a complete disaster generally speaking (though this time around i have travel exhaustion/medication side effects to blame) but messages like this are still such a surprise and such a treasure.

i can’t tell you how honoured i am that you like my writing enough to have stuck with me through fandom changes, and how flattering it is that you’ve given trc a chance on my behalf (i hope you enjoyed the books!). writers typically write because they can’t help it, but still, we all want to be heard, we all want to touch people, and readers as kind as you truly do make the struggle worth it.

it means so much to me that really have no words (the irony?). all i can say is thank you, thank you, thank you - you are wonderful.

p.s.: i’ve been so sporadically present on tumblr lately, that if it weren’t for your message i wouldn’t even have found out about the hugo award thing!! how trippy is that?? and how awesome is it that fan content creators are finally getting acknowledged instead of ridiculed?! what a thing to witness :’)

(tw ; abuse and non-con, but it's in the past) i need help finding a fic too, if it's not any trouble. it's about 70k words, on ao3. cas is suffering from severe trauma due to being abused by a cult, but the story focuses on his story of recovery and how he slowly begins to put all of that behind him. dean is absolutely amazing in this fic, and no one hurts him explicitly, it's only mentioned. in fact it's a really sweet story about healing and recovery and i need those vibes in my life rn.

I’ve been scrolling through my history but I couldn’t find it. I’ll continue looking tomorrow, or maybe someone else will find it while I’m asleep :D
