For the final of my Redesign series'season 2, I'll be working on a story that's surely more famous in France than in english-speaking countries : "Tara Duncan" !

Name : Tara Duncan Age : 12 Species : Human Home world : Earth (France) Institute : Lowcospeed Affinity(ies) : rune magic Magic's color : blue Familiar : unknown (for now) Likes : adventure, exploring, helping people, eating Hates : boredom, injustice, bullies, broccoli

The main problem with Tara is that she's a Mary-Sue and her author refuses to see it. So if I could rewrite the story, she'd be a daredevil girl from Earth always looking for thrills despite her parents and her friend Fabrice's lectures. In the first episode, the 2 kids would get to the planet OtherWorld and, excited by this new environment, they decide to stay for a while and learn magic. But how since earthlings are normally incapable of it ? Well Tara found a method : learning to recognize ancient runes, reproducing them, combining them and using them to obtain different effects, like this luminous trail upon her head (any resemblance with "The Owl House" would be purely fortuitous ^^"). Throughout the story, Tara would learn to pay more attention to others and no longer take stupid risks, even when the situation seems to demand it.

If I could rewrite the story, Fabrice would be born from a mixed union between a human and an otherworldian (who're a parent but nevertheless different species from humans). Thus, he'd have slightly pointed ears and diminished powers according to otherworldian norms. Childhood friend with Tara but a thousand times calmer than her, he always ends up following her in her most unlikely trips to escape daily routine. Until the day they'd discover OtherWorld, magic and the rest. By discovering his own powers, Fabrice would become fascinated by magic and would like to study it more, even more when he binds himself with Barune. Even to the point of an unhealthy obsession...

If I could rewrite the story, Cal would stay the good buddy Ron-Weasley-style who likes pranking people and eating all while being kinda kleptomaniac. He'd be Fabrice and Tara's first otherworldian friend and will have to face the reality of lowcospeedian Agents which will not necessarily correspond to his own principles.

Name : Gloria "Sparrow" Daavil Age : 12 Species : Otherworldian Home world : OtherWorld (Lowcospeed) Institute : Lowcospeed Affinity(ies) : nature magic (animals & plants) Magic's color : greyish purple Familiar : Sheeba the silver panther Likes : reading, quietness, caring for plants, writing Hates : bullies, changing into a Beast, loud noises, tzinpaf

If I could rewrite the story, Sparrow wouldn't be a descendant of Beauty and the Beast but would carry an orphan curse (like an orphan disease, but with extremely ancient spells with no trace or counter-spell known) that she can only regulate with a potion specially prepared for her case. And if she doesn’t take it regularly, she turns into an enraged Beast that attacks everything at sight. Sheeba paid the price a few years ago, hence why she has a damaged ear. Since then, Sparrow has been researching in the hope of finding a definitive cure and no longer posing any danger to anyone. During the series, she will eventually learn to live better with her curse and control her Beast side.

Name : Fafnir Fireforge Age : 66 dwarves years (21 otherworldian/earth years) Species : Dwarf Home world : OtherWorld (Hymlia) Occupation : armorer in Lowcospeed Affinity(ies) : none (refuses to use magic) Magic's color : greyish yellow (refuses to use magic) Familiar : unknown (doesn't want any) Likes : fighting, forging (mostly weapons), great meals, bargaining Hates : magic, being hexed, being scammed, poorly-made objects

If I could rewrite the story, I'd keep the dwarves' hatred for magic and the idea that those of them with powers are more or less voluntarily exiled from Hymlia to other countries. In Fafnir’s case, she would have moved to Lowcospeed and joined a forge in the capital that supplies the palace's guards. But she’s still looking for a way to get rid of her own magic between 2 adventures with her friends.

If I could rewrite the story, Robin wouldn't want to hide his mixed heritage and would assume his horns and rounded ears (full elves in my take have long pointy ears and horns -any resemblance with "Dragon Prince" would be purely fortuitous ^^"). To the point of wearing partially the colors of his father’s native country (Selenda Kingdom) in his lowcospeedian uniform. He'd still be the gang's big brother trying to keep the ship in order and struggling to let go. Something he'd learn to do during the series.

Damn, I just found out that a new Tara Duncan series is coming out. Even tho I just watched the first series back in the day (middle school) and never read the books, Tara Duncan was extremely, like to a ridiculous extent, influential to me - especially the character, Cal.

I hope this new series is faithful to the books (Tara x Cal 💜) and is just as impactful to the kids watching rn as the original series was to me.

1. My own theory is that Caroline showed up in the unaired episodes of Legacies. Idk how likely it is

2. Sousa will come with SHIELD to the future and become the policeman we saw in Avengers 1

3. Jane will not actually beLady Thor in the next movie. She'll just have his powers for a while

4. Adrien and Marinette both will have separte relationships wirh Kagami and Luka next season.
