I'm open to a lot of ideas, I just love writing ♡ And rp is how I relax, it's a place I can let go in and explore various topics. I've been role-playing for 11 years, and I adore it! Stories can be spicy, dramatic, mysterious, slow burn...I love AU's that let me explore how characters might act or change depending on the environment and circumstances.

Roleplay is done in 3rd person POV past tense, it's my default and easier for a lot of people. I do not require "length matching", I have a degree in creative writing so if your response is done at 1 or 2 paragraphs that's great! My nerd ass will send 3-5 paragraphs bc I like ~details~ and ~setting the scene~

I just want to take a few minutes to ramble about the inherent hilarity of Caleb Widogast becoming a professor as a level 17 wizard.

Caleb became a professor after turning down becoming an Archmage and deciding that TIME TRAVEL wasn’t for him. While that is all very in character, it’s also crazy as all hell and just very funny to me. Cause like, most of the professors there? Probably around level 8-10. Maybe one or two level 11 or 12, excluding the Headmaster because Archmage.

Level 17-20 is you are a legendary hero, pretty much a Demi-god. Once a character reaches level twenty they only way they can get more powerful is if they start developing legendary resistances and lair actions like Goddamn dungeon boss or bbeg. And Caleb is just. Teaching, and fiddling with the highest level magics and digging out evil on the side. And like, this sort of thing is all true of all the M9, and it’s funny for all of them, it’s just funniest with Caleb to me.

Just- Caleb apologizing to his class for missing a few days, he was dealing with something. Dealing with something being he and Beau were in some epic battle with an evil wizard or something. It’s his go to excuse when he gets caught up in business with Beau or has a high magic accident. “I was dealing with something” could be as simple as the normal he was moving, some friends got married, to he physically fighting corruption, he accidentally trapped himself in a demiplane for 24 hrs while he was trying to figure that spell, ect.

Random Professor: I finally got Telekinesis working properly. Math isn’t my strongest suit, I got forcefully flung into the ceiling so many times before I figured the equation out with my notations.

Caleb, who has fought Demi-gods, dragons, and can teleport long distance a few times a day if he wants: Ja, I hear that. It’s fun to use for pranks, though.

If a bright wizard of the far future tried to dig into the legendary Wizard Caleb Widogast, after like finding an artifact or scroll Old Man Caleb made or something, they’d have such a weird time. The source of this powerful Magics they found and he was just a dude. He was rumored to have a harem of male lovers (just Essek in his many disguises), he taught transmutation, there is cat imagery all over his stuff, every portrait they find of him has like 12 dicks hidden in it. What the hell?

I just- it’s just really funny to me.

Reccer says: I'm StreetwiseFool on Ao3. I have ADORED this work for the years since it's latest update. I will adore it evermore. Please give it love, as I yearn for that final chapter. It takes the most fun concepts from the (not so great) film where derives its au plot and makes it SO heartrenchingly shadowgast and spectacular. There's whump, there's affection, all of the Nein are wonderfully done here. Plus I love how they adapted the film's worldbuilding to Exandria's and vice versa. My heart broke in the best way and you can't help but fervently wonder how it'll all play out as you read. I hope the author sees this and knows no matter finished or unfinished I'll love this work forever. I'm stoked for the chance to recommend it.

experience in RP. let me take you back to 2011 if you will allow me ……. me and several of my irls were doing some silly roleplay thing in an imsg gc. moved on to kik. was on instagram for a while. twitter (but the tumblr kind) during the height of the pandemic. oc & shadowhunters tumblr blogs circa 2015-2018. groups on tumblr on/off from 2016. cycling through multis and single muses since about 2021. most recent non-multis i’ve had…. kim dokja (orv), the kaul siblings + anden (greenbone saga), caleb widogast (cr), nico di angelo (rrverse), a couple iterations of shion, an iteration of sylvain + some of their siblings, & a couple others that i’m forgetting. generally i’ve always been most comfortable writing ocs & canons from niche media/media with a smaller rpc.

best experiences. 2020-2021 was terrible for a number of reasons but it was Fun sometimes. met a few friends i still talk to and are very dear to me. i am definitely happier now(?) because i am more comfortable curating my own space and setting boundaries even if i lack the deeper dynamics i had back then.

pet peeves / dealbreakers. i do not care if people “use me” for a certain canon or gender presentation of character as long as they respect and understand the character and the way i write them. i do not care for mindless performative behavior. i do not care for vagues. i do not care for facechasing or forceshipping. if i am uncomfortable i will take it into my own hands and soft/hard block. i do care that my boundaries are respected and that you care for my character past their face / a ship / etc. i do care that my characters of color are not ignored. i do care that my transgender characters are not ignored. yes this is bare minimum.

muse preference (angst, fluff + smut). generally i’m best with angst. my fluff needs to be flavored as hurt/comfort or have some sort of direction or i get bored/disinterested. i usually need some sort of direction for most threads as i’m not great with purely introspection/philosophizing without some plot movement or action. i actually think i’m pretty good with action scenes (as in fighting/sparring/etc). i’m ok with writing smut! you are welcome to approach me for it but i do prefer to have an established rel prior to exploring it.

plots or memes. both!! memes are good for jumping off/starting interactions/testing the waters but i do need some substance with it so i prefer that if you send a meme, to please message me afterwards if you’d like to expand. i lose interest on just back and forth memes without a plot.

are you like your muse. a few but not many. i put bits and pieces of myself in my muses. i don’t think any of my muses are a whole lot like me — canon and oc included.

Hey Luck! You've got no obligation to reply to this, but between you, Liam and Aabria, I'm dipping my toes into playing a wizard for the first time in a level 6 Radiant Citadel adventure and I'm so excited - but I also feel woefully underprepared because it's a high investigation and high RP adventure, and I was wondering if you had any tips for playing a wizard? Again, no obligation to reply, but thank you if you do! <3

Wizards are still my brand! Sounds like you’re about to have a fun game! Some quick advice for what it sounds like your specific game is doing, and just some wizard thoughts in general:

Don’t be afraid to use your high intelligence for things other than spells! In an investigation heavy game, lean into your skills - your investigation, history, religion and arcana should all be high. If the DM allows it, remember that your character might be smarter than you - see if you can roll and intelligence check to get hints on tough puzzles.

For an intrigue or investigation campaign, don’t forget utility spells. Identify, Detect Magic, Comprehend Languages, etc. can all be super useful in the right short adventure if it’s not as combat heavy - check with the DM ahead of time to make sure but for that kind of game make sure you’ll be useful inside combat and out - the wizard’s greatest strength.

Know who else is in the party and see what spells might be useful to help them. Is there a Barbarian who could benefit from Haste? Who’s around you and how can you help them?

I joke all the time about dumping CON but don’t ignore it as a stat - crucial for concentration spells.

For RP, I find it’s crucial and most fun to give your wizard some hubris. Even Caleb Widogast was very confident in his own magical abilities. Makes for greater successes and bigger, often funnier failures. You worked hard to become magical - be proud of it!

Most importantly, have fun! And remember, nothing is sexier than you.
