I don’t know how to explain any more clearly that it doesn’t MATTER if it seems legitimate to you. You have got to fact check every single headline and post and claim on the left just like you need to do on the right.

The left is NOT immune to misinformation and rushed reporting. And the more emotionally polarizing or shocking the talking points, sound bytes, and headlines are, the worse it is and more frequently it happens.

Learn to verify through multiple independent sources. If you can’t do that, you can’t trust it.

If you have to wait extra hours for the real information to come through vetted channels—NOT just one individual somewhere everyone links to, and not just one single media source either, EVEN if it’s a major news network—thats just how it has to be. What news outside of genuine local disasters near you TRULY needs your outrage and post-sharing in the next hour specifically?

Misinformation works best by not seeming like misinformation and by fitting in with the rest of what you already expect to see. It doesn’t help anyone to not be able to recognize and avoid the stuff.

Some GAR HQ Zey thoughts in no particular order:

In addition to the blue lapis desk and bantha leather chairs, Zey’s office also has a small sofa and table up against the wall. It’s meant to be for less formal, private meetings but Zey doesn’t have many of those (if at all). This is referred to by Maze and Zey as the “nap couch” because it’s where they take 20 minute power naps. Those two can probably count on one hand the number of times they’ve seen their actual beds since the start of the war.

When Maze says Zey “makes caf” it should probably be clear that the tapcaf machine actually makes the caf--it's one of those 'put cup down and push button' machines. But Zey has taken it upon himself to make sure the tapcaf machine is up and running, like actually cleaning the machine when the 'clean' light goes on instead of ignoring it and hoping for the best like everyone else does.

It’s also Zey who gets a mini conservator put in and stocked with milk/cream/etc and actual mugs in addition to the to go cups. He gets good caf instead of GAR issue, but he keeps it on the down low because he feels bad he can’t distribute the good caf more widely in the field. GAR HQ just has “the mysteriously good caf.”

Zey’s love language is serving caf. It's always been his thing, making sure there's caf out for visitors, and now that there's a war on, he still makes a point of it.

I swear, these past couple of days really have not been good for me in terms of things that make me anxious. . .

Last Sunday I asked a friend something that I have been meaning to ask them for a while now, even though I should have probably asked it sooner still, seeing as it's time-sensitive

After a lot of "I'll do it now definitely for sure", I came out to my mother on Tuesday. Which went absolutely well, don't get me wrong, but oh my god was I emotionally through after that

Thursday I had an appointment at the place where I want to get laser hair removal done, so that we could see what's possible and how much it'd cost. That was another matter of "oh my god new thing" nervousness, and of course just the fundamental anxiety of actually doing something that's supposed to make me happier with my body

Still the ongoing nervousness of doing the prep work for my Master's Thesis, but that's honestly a weekly thing at this point

Today I'm meeting with friends, which of course is bound to be fun, but still got me nervous right now cause that is just how these things are for me

And tomorrow and at some point next week, I wanna come out to more people, which includes my father. So. Fun.

I never was a big fan of genshin content creators- cause all of them were usually hoyocreators and obviously signed with hyv so I was like “ok okay cool so they basically can never say anything negative about the game. Awesome.” So I never payed attention to them much, but I obv know who they are.

I think their response to everything is terrible. Actually terrible. I don’t care if you’re a content creator for hyv, if you’re signed with them, fucking whatever- you gotta buy a shitty ass meal from a company that actually is supporting a mass genocide of innocent people? It’s not cute, it’s not quirky, no one thinks it’s fun or funny, you’re a fucking loser. Like a straight up loser, what the hell is wrong with you?

Remember when Meenah called Lord English hot? This fact is kinda funny when considering Lord English is a mashup of young boys and Meenah has a reputation for going after characters way too young for her. Like damn, unintentional parallel? Would Caliborn x Meenah even work? She's into Karkat who parallels Caliborn in multiple ways but I feel like it would be in a more creepy way.

She really did say that in Openbound. It makes me wonder too which parts of Lord English she thinks is hot. Does she think Dirk or Auto Responder is hot? Equius? Lil Cal? Half of Gamzee (lol)? But I can see it being likely Caliborn too since he is the most like Karkat. I can see them being like kismesis. Like I can see them rag on each other because they are shocked to see that the person they grew up to be, weren't as impressive when they were young. I can see Meenah calling Caliborn a lesser version of Karkat while Caliborn just calls Meenah a fish w)-(or--E. At best, he will say thank you for her older self's services in serving Lord English. But in turn, she'll be damn proud of what her other self has done. As long as HIC gets to be a badass bitch, that's all it can convince Meenah she is awesome as fuck. And ironically enough, when thinking about Her Imperious Condesce working with Lord English to cause mass destruction and death to the universe....guess who Meenah in Homestuck 2 and by extension, Homestuck Beyond Canon, is helping for war, which also causes mass destruction?

Guess some things never change. Karkat is the new Lord English confirmed lmfao
