Some GAR HQ Zey thoughts in no particular order:
In addition to the blue lapis desk and bantha leather chairs, Zey’s office also has a small sofa and table up against the wall. It’s meant to be for less formal, private meetings but Zey doesn’t have many of those (if at all). This is referred to by Maze and Zey as the “nap couch” because it’s where they take 20 minute power naps. Those two can probably count on one hand the number of times they’ve seen their actual beds since the start of the war.
When Maze says Zey “makes caf” it should probably be clear that the tapcaf machine actually makes the caf--it's one of those 'put cup down and push button' machines. But Zey has taken it upon himself to make sure the tapcaf machine is up and running, like actually cleaning the machine when the 'clean' light goes on instead of ignoring it and hoping for the best like everyone else does.
It’s also Zey who gets a mini conservator put in and stocked with milk/cream/etc and actual mugs in addition to the to go cups. He gets good caf instead of GAR issue, but he keeps it on the down low because he feels bad he can’t distribute the good caf more widely in the field. GAR HQ just has “the mysteriously good caf.”
Zey’s love language is serving caf. It's always been his thing, making sure there's caf out for visitors, and now that there's a war on, he still makes a point of it.

WIP excerpt behind the cut; Clark panic-adopts his teenage clones (yes, including the supervillain one).
“Why does Superman have civilian clothes?” Match asks instead. Thirteen–pauses, then just shrugs.
“Ask him,” he says, which means he knows and is just being an asshole. Figures.
“More thorough scans would be helpful,” Jor-El says as they approach a very large . . . well, Match genuinely doesn’t know. It might be a computer. There’s a screen involved, at least. The rows of crystals underneath said screen are definitely not a part of any kind of “computer” he’s ever seen before, but it’s still the likeliest theory he’s got. “The infirmary is not currently optimized for cloned lifeforms, but we should be capable of extrapolation where necessary. And the Fortress’s programming is certainly familiar with Kryptonian-human hybrids, at this point.”
Match doesn’t respond, considering how obvious a statement that was. His genes are functionally identical to Thirteen’s, after all, so of course Superman’s already familiar with his physiology. Well–of course he’d have access to Thirteen’s files, more accurately.
“Um,” Thirteen says, frowning in confusion. “It is?”
Match cannot believe how incredibly stupid his gene donor is. Is Thirteen somehow under the impression that advanced alien technology can't access Cadmus’s files? Hell, the Agenda can get into those with minimal effort. Cadmus’s lab security is not impressive. He's walked right in the front door enough times at this point.
“It is, yes,” Jor-El agrees. “If you could hold still for a moment, please. Both of you, ideally. We may as well scan you as well, Kon-El.”
Match–frowns.
Wait. If the Fortress already has Thirteen's files, then why . . .
A pale blue-white light materializes from the crystals beneath the screen and pans over both him and Thirteen. He doesn't feel any hint of warmth from the light or hear anything, and there's no pain.
In addition to the pain he's already in, he means. Obviously.
The whole process seems very . . . simple, for a DNA scan. Not involved enough.
Not–what he would've expected.
That's all.
He assumes this is just a first step, and the actual analysis will involve something more invasive or–
“Scan complete,” Jor-El announces as the light flicks off. “Genetic profiles now on file for Kon-El and the as yet unnamed new member of the House of El currently classified as ‘Match’. Proper name impending.”
Match has absolutely no idea what to say to any of that.
“I think the AI is malfunctioning,” he says to Thirteen, who scowls at him.
“Rude much?” he says.
“It just called me a ‘member of the House of El’,” Match reminds him dubiously.
“. . . maybe Kal can run a virus scan or something,” Thirteen mutters under his breath with a grimace. Match resists the urge to roll his eyes. It's a gesture he only ever started doing to impersonate Thirteen anyway.
“All Fortress systems are currently running at peak performance,” Jor-El says like a malfunctioning AI would even be an accurate source, then gestures off to the side. “The basic medical supplies are this way. Please follow me.”
“The damage is minimal,” Match says. He's healed from worse without wasting medical supplies. The burns aren't even third-degree. Superman can't possibly want to spend actual resources on him, much less anything that would presumably need to be replaced or recharged later.
“Then treatment will also be minimal,” Jor-El replies matter-of-factly before heading off. “This way.”
He's definitely malfunctioning.
Thirteen follows Jor-El, though, and Match doesn’t know what else to do, so he does too. Either way he doesn’t want Superman to catch up when he’s by himself, so . . .
He doesn’t even know what Superman is doing right now, aside from presumably making whatever call he needed to make, and who knows what that’s about or for. Maybe he’s warning the Justice League about the likelihood of the Agenda causing problems for them, publicity-wise. Or . . . something to that effect, anyway.
They’ll take the opportunity to, he’s sure. The Agenda doesn’t miss opportunities like that.
The infirmary is sparse and open and both laboratory-bright and laboratory-sterile, but still . . . off, somehow. Something about it just seems . . . off.
Match isn’t sure what, exactly.
Maybe it’s just that he can’t smell blood or bleach.
Jor-El instructs him through using the cleaning wipes and disinfectant spray and strange alien bandages from the supplies–Match, like usual, uses his tactile telekinesis to keep himself from flinching when it hurts–and Thirteen tries to help, which is irritating. Match glowers at him until he backs off, which takes twice as long as it should.
Superman probably wouldn’t appreciate him killing Thirteen, after all the fuss. And Superman’s . . . in charge of him now, he thinks. Technically. Probably.
For now, at least.
The Agenda will want him back, so . . .
So for now, yes. Until the Agenda reclaims him and disposes of him as a failed experiment.
Superman would be–harder to reclaim him from, though. Harder than government custody. Maybe even harder than the Justice League in general, because Superman by himself doesn’t necessarily have to answer to the same specific pressures the whole League altogether would.
So if he does . . . whatever Superman wants him to do, exactly–if he does whatever makes Superman want to keep him, for whatever reason Superman decided he wanted to keep him to begin with . . .
He won’t be disposed of as soon, if he does that. Eventually Superman will change his mind and the Agenda will take him back, but–only eventually.
Not yet.
So he just needs to do that.
Match can do that. Superman can't be any harder to please than the Agenda. He . . . thinks he can't, anyway.
Superman tolerates Thirteen, so . . .

Note
Conner Kent basically is a child from (medical) rape. Not calling him Clark's child is basically the mentally healthiest way to cope with this for everyone involved.
Note #1: I first want to apologize for taking this long to respond, though it's not the only time that's happened and probably won't be the last. I'm still surprised that this particular blog even got an "ask", to be honest! That being said:
WARNING: This post is about—among other things—sexual assault, properly defining/utilizing the terms and has a few violent descriptions within it. Some possibly unpopular and controversial opinions are below. Absolutely no harm or insult to any person or group was intended while I typed this out (including to the "asker"). I hope any possible readers will make it to the end before judging. I've typed this up for anybody, with no one in particular in mind, so 'you' therefore, refers to anyone as well as what's said in the "ask". This gets into and brings up a lot different subjects and ideas in regards to the Kal-Kon family relationship (both in-universe ones and meta ones), so apologies to the above anonymous user if it ever seems like I'm going off on a tangent; although I like to think all of this was relevant to the "ask" in some way.
As always, I'll try to be open-minded to differing opinions/information and I hope any possible errors made can be forgiven. This is also going to be really, REALLY L--O--N--G because I have a hard time giving short, straight-to-the-point responses for anything, I guess. Especially topics that have wide-reaching implications. I switch between character names a lot (and other quirks), may get a little repetitive (but I will try to make new points each time) and I also may at times be harsh on Clark here (but it's arguably DC Comics and their partners that are truly at fault, not him).
Note #2: I've always wanted to make a post about why Clark's treatment of Conner throughout the years has been questionable writing at best and detrimental to Clark's character at worst [as part of a not-yet-completed series on what's destroying Superman's character and legacy these days, in fact] but maybe this will end up being that post [or they'll just share many points/arguments in common].
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, but I'm not playing that game. Only rape is rape. You comparing (and perhaps twisting) Conner Kent's/Kon-El's creation to being that of a "child from (medical) rape"—which, mind you, I can't help but be reminded of "rape baby" (one of the names unfortunately often used on such victims-by-proxy for the wrong reasons) when I read it—is not only, to me, an insult to any version of the character's backstory and the hardship they've gone through, but to those who have actually experienced the trauma of rape or other forms of sexual assault (or being conceived from any such act).
While I understand why some interpret Kon's creation that way/where the belief comes from, I feel that's only one possible interpretation and one that unfortunately—on top of promoting offensive and less-than-rational conclusions—might actually be missing the point about the real reason(s) Kon got and still gets treated the way he does.
First off, let's get down to how every version of Kon was created before getting into the details of the origin of one or another, and proving how none of them sprouted from rape: Kon is, put simply, a genetically engineered progeny; a form of "test tube baby" (not meant to be disparaging). He was made in an undoubtedly sterile (purposefully loaded word) lab from the ideas, research-based input and experimentation of dozens of scientists and geniuses, his human parent typically included. (Note how I didn't name a human parent? I'll get to that.) After many failed attempts, there was a success, first dubbed Experiment 13.
There was no warmth or genuine intimacy involved in E13's creation, just as is the case with 95% to 100% of sexual assaults (I'm trying not to assume how it went for all victims). However, there was also no physical contact, beyond perhaps the extraction/finding and adding together of DNA-type substances. (You know, what with every version of Kon being treated solely as science experiments in their early days and all.) Without physical contact, specifically/particularly/especially of the sexual variety, already the case for Superman being "raped" begins to fall apart and we can get closer to what fandom/societal problem is really behind this idea being pushed and what truth is continually missed/hidden due to said problem acting as a cover.
Continuing from before: So, as we all know, almost every version of Kon-El/Conner Kent get's his DNA from a male kryptonian progenitor (always Kal-El/Clark Kent unless stated otherwise) together with the also-male human progenitor's, and rarely anywhere else. These days most versions of Conner seem to be the half-human genetic child of Lex Luthor and Superman, and it's been like that for a while. In the beginning however, he was solely a clone of Superman before it was later decided that he was actually an altered clone of some now-forgotten man named Paul Westfield and that he only mimicked Superman's powers. They later changed it up again ("retconned" it) to the Lex Luthor/Superman combination origin(s) for the 2000's version of him, but in doing so, made it clear in BIG, bright letters that Kon is not a "clone" anymore.
Unless—we're calling him a binary clone (what we all are).
That's right, a binary clone is one of many words for child. It's just a specific type of child/progeny. Here's another definition example, with the same description. I would hope no one needs to see the definition for child, too, but you never know. So, notice how so many of the definitions for child match up with what Kon is? What are the people that argue that Superboy is not Superman's—or that he's neither Clark's nor Lex's child—really trying to say or inadvertently saying, I wonder? That Kon is no one's child? That he isn't even a child (unless someone wants him)?? Good luck using that logic with real life "test tube children" (in-vitro children, if we want to be clinical), foster children and adoptees. Bet they'll really appreciate the insensitivity.
As for his age? Why does that matter? At his oldest, he's an upper teen, so still an impressionable minor. And who ever said you needed to pop up in someone's life as a perfect, little chubby cherub to be their child? Who said your parents needed to accept you/get the chance to raise you, for you to be directly descended from them? If a parent dies before a child is born (and stays dead), is the child not their child anymore? Even if someone meets their kid—that may appear to others, to have been created when the parent was a teenager—when the youngling is already a teenager him/herself now, that's still their child, isn't it? Look at all the questions that we are forced to ask when certain fans try and come up with arbitrary definitions, explanations and excuses (or ignore preexisting ones) for what makes a child a child.
As far as I can see, Superman is not delusional nor prone to denialism and isn't known for letting his emotions (or what some believe his emotions are or should be) get the best of him. At least, he's not supposed to be. Some writers in the past have had different ideas on that. In my opinion, they often ruin things for a large amount of us though, seeing as engaging in poor, contradictory behavior will never automatically = a character being more complex. It's more likely that the character will just come across as very petty, selfish, obnoxious or callous, things Superman generally should not be; maybe even should never be.
All that is to say that the need to pretend Kon is anything but Clark's (and Lex's) child in-universe and based on real-life standards, has nothing to do with authentic science or logic and at times doesn't even involve an agreed on continuity. You (the "asker") may already realize this (since you mentioned mental health and coping in your "ask") but many others don't seem to yet. In fact, the exact science isn't what matters, considering how the situation is fictional and therefore mostly pseudoscience anyway.
And even if it wasn't fictional, consider that animal reproduction is technically considered sexual whether two organisms had sex/copulated or not because of the act of the male and female gametes (sex cells) coming together. Based on that, can or can't Kon be considered just another typical mammal (mammal-alien hybrid?) made through a form of sexual reproduction, even if he wasn't made from the combining of male cells and female cells (typically not used in his case) nor (most likely) any sexual cells at all? Does it even make a difference in regards to his parentage? In reality, it actually doesn't and that question is only a pedantic-semantics one. All such questions are.
What actually matters here is the basics. Cells/DNA from these two beings were melded together to make another being. No intercourse was needed or involved. A large amount of people would still consider that as a child being made, with or without the added story context. (Many mythologies have had similar events happen in them, fwiw.) So why shouldn't our honest, selfless and compassionate Superman view it that way? Where is the extensive evidence that this is solely about Clark and his family's feelings anyway, especially in the present day? I'm sure that may be the excuse some writers hide behind, but let's be real here.
Clark, in multiple continuities, has had no problem giving Kon a name (twice, if you count Conner Kent too), encouraging him to have a secret identity like Clark, so he also gets to live his life outside of being a hero, has occasionally been seen spending time with Kon by choice, mentoring him, fighting alongside him, sending Kon to the boy's grandparents for raising in the calm, warm town of Smallville (where Clark himself was raised), enrolling him in school in that same town, literally considering him family...but he won't dare go as far as to call him son??
Now, don't get me wrong. Do I believe Superman knew what was going on just before and during Superboy's artificial development? No. He never knows until after Superboy is already out in the world flying around. Does that make it non-consensual and somewhat or very violative to him? Of course. But besides these adjectives/descriptors and (if you want to count it) the springing of a child from the experiments, the situation actually—again, I say—has little in common with rape.
(POSSIBLY VERY TRIGGERING LANGUAGE FOUND BELOW. If you can, pay special attention to what words I put emphasis on.)
Rape can be and is many awful things. The severity of the act can range from little to no bodily injury but major emotional/psychological harm from awareness of the unwanted/forced sexual contact you were put through, to very extreme bodily and mental harm. It can cause tearing, often-heavy bleeding and infection in any targeted orifice (vagina, anus, mouth and/or throat) that can take months to heal from or that the person never fully recovers from. It can make it painful to move and do certain positions with the body. For specifically the female reproductive system, it can lead to damage that's so horrible that a woman can no longer reproduce and so is left infertile. Or she can be left with a pregnancy that's taken root in her own body that she of course was not planning—since it was forced into her—and one she often won't feel like she can handle birthing. There's also always a chance that she could die during the months before the labor begins, if not during the birth itself.
In the case of one form of medical rape (which again, I don't believe Clark was put through, unless you're talking about a different definition for it), it's rape because the victim gets impregnated by semen that they did not agree to have used on them. So it's rape by deception, if not also due to the disturbingly forceful nature that 'fertility treatment' often comes with.
Can someone tell me what about any of that, purposefully emphasized words and all, is the same as how Kon was created? Am I really supposed to believe that Superboy's surprise creation through indirect means, is equivalent to the above in any way for any person involved? In the early years of the character's creation, it was implied or outright stated that Superboy got his Superman DNA from scientists—I believe CADMUS—stealing Clark's presumed-dead body and taking a bit from it (Kon was originally supposed to replace Clark, but not destroy him). What did they get? Maybe a hair? A skin cell from one of his arms? I'm not sure.
However, this was in the early years and the most violative it ever got. (Actually, I don't recall that version of Superman being all that shaken up over the matter compared to how some seem to think every version has been regarding Kon's creation, even though that one probably had some of the biggest reasons to be; he even reached out to Superboy first, in fact. Only to be rejected by him.) It also wasn't, and is still, not rape. It's overall more comparable to someone stealing his/her ex's or one night stand's condom off their body or from the trash to cause a pregnancy. A horrendous deed—but not rape.
I'm stating all this because your claim is built on a false premise. One that likely comes from an over-reliance on and desire for extreme comparisons/equivalencies. One that appears to be a very common opinion in the fandom, but which is still misguided. It's imperative that we try not use the word rape (or related words) to seriously describe any other different action just because we disapprove of it. It's superbly harmful and frankly, disingenuous.
Are you calling the situation rape because you truly feel that this is what happened or because it's the worst word you could think of to try to make people feel even more horrified than they may already feel about the situation, and to shut down conversation on Clark's strange behavior toward and relationship with, Conner? Is it that you do realize that sexual assault is a severe issue and definitely no laughing matter, so you use mention of it so flippantly to emphasize your point, not realizing that this is only contributing to the problem?
I often wonder if a huge reason for this is because many nowadays are, thankfully, far more knowledgable of the importance of consent, but to the unfortunate extent that they separate it from the actual acts that make sexual assault, well, sexual assault. Again, lack of consent by itself is not what makes something rape. There has to at the least be forced penetration involved, too and arguably blatant sexual intention.
Likewise: Stealing someone's wallet or squeezing all the money out of their bank account without their knowing, is not "financial rape". Beating someone to a pulp and leaving them there injured is not "punching rape". Wiping someone's mind of memories is not, technically, "mind rape" (despite how popular that term is now). Leaving a baby or puppy on someone's doorstep and hoping/expecting that the owner of the home will sacrifice their time to raise them, is not "nurture rape" (or "nurture coercion" for that matter). You know why all the previous is true? Because, again, only rape is rape!
Languages are always changing, adapting, sometimes shrinking but also expanding. We often add definitions to words that may not have been implied before and use metaphors and other figurative speak to make points. However, words have those original definitions for a reason and especially in the case of crime and morality, it is not wise to dilute the meanings of words for your personal opinions/arguments/headcanons. That is not only hurtful but possibly dangerous.
If you feel that this or that version of Clark is right to be weirded out by Conner for being created 'unnaturally' (based on average, modern human POV), just say so. If you feel some version(s) of Clark is right to be disgusted by Conner for being made without his knowledge or ability to stop it (presumed dead or alive), just say so. If you feel modern versions of Clark are in the right to reject Kon solely because of who the human parent typically is, i.e. Lex Luthor (since we all know that connection and Lex's intentions when creating Kon must somewhat play an enormous factor in some people's view of Kon's existence), just say so.
If you, for similar reasons, despise every version of Lex Luthor and believe he's an irredeemable monster (which I find understandable, even though I personally do like the character) and therefore that everything connected to him is tainted too, just say so. If you are so preoccupied with comparing Damian Wayne's (usual/modern/recent/current?) conception origin to Kon's own, to the point of only noticing possible similarities and wanting to claim the situations are exactly the same, despite the obvious differences (and despite how that makes Superman/Clark negatively appear but in comparison to Batman/Bruce this time who accepts his child, regardless of the actual sexual assault that took place to create him), just say so.
If you just have a certain set of characteristics in mind for Superman or think it should be anything goes if it entertains you, as the rule of thumb for Superman writing, then please, just say so. That way people with a different opinion than you will know what worldview they're really arguing with when you debate. You do not need to use a word (rape) with an already established definition that's important enough to be referenced in laws the world over, to emphasize your point. Your argument should be able to stand on its own without doing so.
It wouldn't surprise me if one of the biggest contributors to modern people's current view of Clark and Conner's relationship is due to largely popular, dramatic media like the animated series Young Justice. The show had a take on them that was based on certain older-but-still-modern comic interactions with the more modern look/personality for Kon and it was considered by many to be realistic/relatable in regards to Superman's viscerally perturbed reactions toward and avoidance of Kon. However, some others saw it for what it also was: An excuse to seep out as much angst as possible to make us feel for Kon, but at the expense of Superman's characterization.
Compare their relationship here to the one they had in the DC Animated Movie Universe film, Reign of the Supermen (a sequel to The Death of Superman movie from the same universe; both are based on the 90's Bronze Age comic(s) that I've mentioned already). It was Lex in that movie that was being unquestionably vile toward Kon. As you might expect! And it was Clark who, only after knowing Kon for a short period—probably 20 minutes at most in-movie and a few days in their world—showed the poor mentally-abused child compassion and immediately took him under his bright red cape of hope and, as often happens these days, got help from Kon's grandparents in raising Kon. As you'd definitely expect! Although it wasn't exactly explicitly said in the movie whether he considers Conner his son or not, their relationship there was still handled infinitely better from the jump than was the case with alternate versions of their relationship. The reactions from these two men from different media that are supposed to be the same character, are like night and day! It's almost like they're not the same character (hint, hint)!
There was no unnecessary drama or hypocrisy on Clark's part in ROTSM (remember they'd both be seen as dangerous in the eyes of regular earthlings). Beyond a moment of eyebrow raising, and some possible annoyance or hesitance, Clark seems to grow accustomed to Kon's existence very quickly (after Lois already had, without his realizing!) and starts acting sensibly about it afterward (while still coming across as a warm but stern and outraged father; again, as you'd expect!) which I think was a good thing and arguably just as realistic as the reverse, with the added benefit of not making Clark look douchey, un-empathetic and unreasonably judgmental. We should be way past acts of actual!superdickery in this day and age, imho. Considering the universe he exists in, Clark should be ready to take on whatever is thrown his way, even a hormonal teenage "clone" of himself, no matter if they have a human parent or not, and even if Clark doesn't get along with that parent. Seriously, more writers need to remember that. The DC world is insane and anything could happen; so the characters ought to be mindful of that at all times.
Which leads me to ask: Why should Clark be extremely upset almost every single time Kon pops up anyway? Why does he have to be extremely upset at all? He didn't get a choice to thumb up or thumb down Kon's creation but beyond that, what was forced on him? As I noted earlier, he didn't get forcefully impregnated or even deceived. No one made him let Kon into his life either and Kon is a good kid anyway who wants to be the best superhero he can be and who's typically no worse than cocky. (Though some versions of Superman surprisingly need to be convinced/reminded of Kon's innocence.) Less honest people will try and dance around the elephant in the room, which is that they wouldn't think what was done with Clark's DNA was a big deal if Kon hadn't come from it. "Well, duh!" you might say. Duh indeed, because without Kon's existence, literally no argument can reasonably be made that Kal was harmed in anyway. (Unlike with physical attacks, which are obvious. The harm done to him would then, at most, be emotional/psychological but only if Clark acknowledges on some level what/who Conner is (his son!) but struggles to accept him/rejects him despite/because of it. Superman (and the fans that do the directly-above), should focus their ire on the true wrong-doers, not a victim. I mean really, Conner has only done wrong to Clark and his family/friends once, while brainwashed by somebody else!! (It was Lex Luthor, of course.)
This means that they know Kon is his own person with endless potential, who is vulnerable and always at risk of manipulation, who deserves sympathy regardless of how he was made and who just needs an outstretched hand from someone who cares and wants him to stay on the right path, despite where he came from. Which means they also know what it says about Superman for him to neglect Conner, but just accept it as "a blind spot" as opposed to calling it out as the horrible writing decision that it always is. Kon in the ROTSM movie is the biggest victim in that scenario and it's made clear there. In that movie, Superman didn't turn his back on or avoid Superboy at any point and dived right into a father-son relationship with him. Thank goodness.
I repeat: The parent in the movie that actively created him without the other parent's knowledge, treated him like fresh garbage, like a toy that doubled as a tool/weapon, like an object. The other parent on the other hand refused to do the same and instead did right by him and took him in. Kon's feelings and needs were acknowledged as they deserved to be. Clark was called dad by the boy and he more or less stood in his role that wasn't gonna change whether he wanted it to or not, nor whether he accepted it or not. A parent is a parent the moment they have a kid, even if they choose not to be there for them. Adoption is one way of becoming a parent that I admire (as long as no cruelty was committed for it to happen) and I'm happy for those happy to be adopted. However, mind you, Clark or The Kents raising Kon who is one of Clark's own bio kids, would be regular parenting/grand-parenting; not adoption or fostering.
He also did have a choice btw, when it came to that movie, as he always does and like everyone else has/would. He could have chosen to ignore/avoid Kon and left him to teach himself how to swim, but this is Superman we're talking about here and he, more than anyone, would ideally never behave that way to someone in need (least of all a child/his own child!). Even if other people in his place would unfortunately be unable to (which I understand and can sympathize with). Superboy did appear to be physically younger (if not emotionally) in ROTSM than he was in YJ, but my point still stands for both stories and related.
In fact, if memory serves right, (as briefly referenced earlier) the 90's version of Superman which the TDOSM and ROTSM movies are loosely based on somehow wasn't near as avoidant around or upset by the 90's Kon-El Superboy (Kon sure was annoyed by him though) as the character was in some later writers' stories, despite supposedly being of the same continuity and despite the fact that Superboy became a better person and hero as years passed. Which actually kinda adds to my point about how ridiculous this behavior/flaw from modern versions of Clark is. Funny. It also sort of reeks of higher-up interference to me... Almost like they needed an excuse to keep the two apart; very separated and in their own books with rarely any overlap, before eventually deciding to recurringly erase one of the characters from "canon" and/or their connection/closeness to the other more prominent character...
Which, finally, is what the reasoning for constantly excluding and distancing Kal-El from Kon-El really all comes down to. Seven things actually, which are all often/always connected: 1. Keeping tradition going which often causes 2. Plain old homophobia to win when it comes to writing decisions, but also usually leads to 3. Clois favoritism, both of which are due in part to 4. Fear of trying anything new and 5. Peeving off the fanbases within the fanbase, whose members all have their own version of Superman in mind (think about the YJ vs ROTSM example), which brings about 6. Laziness and simplicity for simplicity's sake and we can't forget 7. That probably more than anything else (and where the other seven stem from) there's the issue of THE FOCUS ON $$$ [profit, with as little effort and change put forward to gain it as possible, or in some cases too much effort used on the wrong thing(s)].
The need to always hold on, in some way, shape or form, to tradition is a tale as old as time and an obvious reason for Kon's constant alienation from Kal and the larger Superfamily.
I mean really, think about it. Although I focus a lot on how Conner is treated by DC and specifically Clark, he's not the only child from his life that Clark's failed to raise or be there for to the best of his ability. It's just the most glaringly obvious with him.
Every reappears-in-"canon" minor (so not imaginary story character) that pops up at Clark's doorstep gets the short end of the stick, often multiple times at different points. In fact, it's happened so many times now that it's becoming a fandom "joke" and is even—for me at least—starting to become an expected outcome on Clark's part. And guess who it began with?
That's right; Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl: Cousin of Kal-El/Superman.
In the earlier Silver Age comics, Superman got up to some very weird or borderline abusive acts that he often involved Supergirl in. From refusing to take her in and keeping others from adopting this innocent teenage orphan, to forcing her to play pretend as his love-interest (likely as a not-so-veiled excuse to kiss her on the lips), to admitting he actually wanted her in that way, but couldn't, solely because of Krypton's cousin marriage laws?? Supergirl admittedly came across at times like she had an unnatural attachment of her own to her cousin but all the same, she was far younger—even underaged by many standards—traumatized and in need of guidance, yet that version of Superman didn't notice or care and even took advantage of this fact.
The tradition has been, for a while, to have Superman treat/neglect the children in his care so horribly that any chance of them having something of a father figure-child type relationship or mentor-student relationship is nullified. In one of the most recent issues of this current run of Action Comics (2016), Superman has once again come across a child, no, two children in fact, and actually took them both in. This isn't the first time he's done that (Lor-Zod/Chris Kent ring a bell?) but knowing how every other attempt at parenting by main universe Clark has ended, I'm hoping and praying that his sweet, impressionable, ill-raised, adopted twins named Otho-Ra and Osul-Ra (girl and boy) aren't destined for tragedy. Or outside involvement that cuts their childhood short. Or somehow still getting rejected in the end after the fact because it's not convenient enough for Superman/Clark and Status Quo. Considering how cluttered the current Action Comics's Super-Family is starting to seem...it wouldn't surprise me one bit if any of these options happened to them in due time.
Now, the homophobia. Do I really need to explain this one? The closest we've ever gotten to a gay/bi main-universe (not alternate) Superman...WASN'T EVEN SUPERMAN. Not really. It was his son who I bet you the editors at DC wanted people to confuse for the other when it came to the news article titles. Perhaps as a sort of "test" to see how much they could get away with doing with the real deal. I don't say this to shade Jon, only to tell is as it appears. Clearly a large amount of the fanbase failed the test. So although we do get to have a bi-Jon now (And possibly a basically-bi-Kon? Bicon?) whether or not some people hate it, the backlash over that Superman's coming out (and maybe even the anger over his secret identity being revealed) is proof enough for DC that Clark literally cannot come out, even if he wants to. Decades of subtext be damned.
Clois is and always will be the favored partner for Superman by writers. There's nothing wrong with that imho. It truly is the quintessential superhero comic romance. The issue is that any deviation from this (even if just for a short amount of time) is often met with outrage from a huge (or just loud) portion of the fanbase, causing writers to have to find a way to backtrack, cutting back on creativity. Now it often seems they're scared to try anything genuinely new and fresh with Superman. Who could blame them? They have previous examples that prove what will happen if they do.
It should also be noted again that keeping characters as separated/distant as possible (in this case, Superfamily characters) allows for DC to have each of those characters to have a series of their own so more comics can be made and sold!!
I understand we all have a version of Superman in our heads that's "the correct one" but that's exactly why arguments about what's "right" or what could "work" for the character often go nowhere. It leads to the quality of stories being affected and the companies putting in less effort into creating, knowing that simple and typical is what's wanted anyway. It's like: Why even bother?
So to reiterate one more time: The #1 concern will always be about making as big a buck as possible through as little a means as necessary. If editors and co believe lack of change is the way to achieve that, then that's what they'll do. Them continuing into the present day to stop just short of acknowledging what Kon actually is to the Superfamily likely has very little to do with the usual excuses, and a whole lot to do with the aforementioned, with everything else leading back to it.

Wednesday: Work, Investment Thesis and Laughing at the clowns.
Busy day, as usual. I got a new investment offer, let’s see how they respond. I am raising a private seed round worth $100,000 (Rs.8194835.00) for Dexa, to hire more tech talent, mostly backend engineers, solidity developers and iOS/Android Developers, an in-house community building and management team and a marketing team. I am working with Crowwd Labs for the marketing part, and will form a long-term partnership with them. I currently own 49.52% of the company and have the maximum voting rights.
Tumblr media
Here’s our cap table (Capitalization table). Hid the name of my angel investor as we are under a NDA and I cannot publicly mention him. Cap table is basically a legal document of a company where all the capital, investments and ownerships are put together. Every startup that’s funded, has one. So, with the new round all of the investors share will dilute, depending on the size of the cheque and equity deal. Let’s just hope for the best. My goal is to raise this seed round by the end of July. After the Series A, that’s most probably next year or by the end of this year, we’ll move our operations to Bengaluru, Silicon Valley where the real tech action is. Although, I am also one of the leaders in Punjab in the Blockchain/Web3 space who is taking the initiative with my fellow founders to put Punjab on the map when it comes to Web3. Long and tough route, but as I have mentioned earlier, if I set a goal, I want it. I’ll have it anyway. Pretty competitive but I can’t really see myself a loser who fears taking challenges. Everything is possible, all you need is the determination, drive, ambition and a threshold to sacrifice and bear pain.  My work day was comprised of Web3 related stuff mostly, and Dexa. We are minting tickets on Polygon now, and the next meetup event’s tickets are now on sale. They’re free though. Then I read about psychometric tests and stress resistors from the clinical psychology book for my AI therapist, moving on to researching and studying a couple of companies stocks I am planning to invest. After that, I again analyzed a couple of value based stocks for a client from my hedge fund that’ll be up and running by August 2023. I had 2 calls from my part time job as a consultant cloud engineer at Amazon Web Services, so did that and then went out to do some chores. While coming back I saw that classic clown, and I realized today that I have healed. I just couldn’t stop laughing seeing her hanging on to another guy. I saw my past when she used to rest her head on my shoulders, and I giggled so bad. My inner voice was like “You see? That’s a pattern”. Plus now she is also Sukanya/Poonam bhabhi, lol. If there is so much of a monetary crisis, could had asked me, I would donate. And those videos are literally cringe fest. The guy is using all his forces to fuck her, but still I am pretty sure he isn’t making her cum. I have fucked her, I know she is a beast. The guy hasn’t mastered the art of sex. There is a massage video, that while watching I couldn’t stop laughing. 0 Sensuality, just rubbing hands, no stroking no caressing, no rhythm changes, just bland plain cringefest. Again, I felt I have healed because it didn’t affect me or shook me the way it used to. I instead critiqued all the videos, the guy literally has no idea what he is doing.  And it’s even none of my business. Maybe the hunger of money is so bad, that they have to do it. Who knows and who cares? Aaj cam girl hai, kal kothe pe bhi baithegi. Kya pata, kabhi maine contact kia and aageh se isko bheje pimp. Now I think, where is all that decency? Hypocrisy at its best. So what kind of response would you expect? I just laugh on these clowns now. She left me just to be with losers who neither have a social status nor are anywhere sexually capable. But anyway, if she is happy in the dirt, let her. I have a long way to go, hence I shouldn’t be losing my focus. Chudegi toh chod denge, koi harz nahi. ;)  Anyway, I am not poonam bhabhi hence I have to dwell into work. Its time to look into the markets and see how each company is performing followed by some coding before sleeping. Mom has cooked a great curry today. Can’t wait to gorge my dinner. See ya!!

"Yes, we'd have to bring him into the Metaverse in order for me to be of any major help." She nodded before she watched as he tried to talk to Kal only for her not to respond. Makoto wondered how the AI would fare but it seemed she was down like most electronics were.
That was a good call on the palace but Makoto wasn't entirely sure if he had one or not. If he did this could just end up being another case for the Phantom Thieves with a little extra help from Des but he'd just have to be careful not to get too close to Shadows. Without a Persona of his own, he wouldn't be able to defend himself. "There's a potential for him to have one but I can't be certain for sure."
When Makoto looked back at him she noticed he was a little further away and raised a brow before chuckling softly at his question. "No, my Persona can not possess you and it won't do anything to harm you either. A persona is basically a manifestation of the user's personality and traits and is completely under my command."
Reaching up for her mask she pulled it off in one quick motion as it would be better for him to get used to the concept now. "Johanna!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Okay, that makes sense. Like some sort of lucid dream realm to a degree..." Desmond nodded to himself. before continuing. "Lemme guess, you plan on bringing red or as my teachers call him 'Red magician' down here and trap him in an enclosed space we can defeat him." That's a really good idea, the only issue were those things, if Des wasn't careful they could strike from the shadows.
"Still with Kal-li's brain and yours we should be able to figure everything out, right Kal?" A pause. "Kal you paying attention?" Desmond thought for a second, Makoto did say electronics didn't work normally. "Oh yeah, that's a bit of a hole in the plan. Hmmm...." Desmond thought to himself before shaking his head after deciding something in his brain. "Can't be helped, she can offer us support in the real world, I'll just reiterate what you told me here."
Desmond returned the pool of information "You have a interesting school year, it's a bit bizarre to work with thieves; but you guys don't seem so bad from what you told me." A small nod. "Thanks for telling me, I'm curious though, would Red magician have a 'palace' himself? If we could find that then we could easily stop him with your purseowna."
Tumblr media
It felt odd to say on his tongue, even odder still that she just, had a ghost she used in battle. He did shutter. And suddenly was several feet away from Makoto- who knows how. "It can't...like possess me, you have that thing on a leash right? Sorry I just don't do well around...ghost; I-I know it's silly but I can't really shake it." Des sighed, focus up man.
"I think I have the gist of it, and a clever little trap in mind, now we just gonna find him."

Hellooo! May I request prompt #19 “. . . sorry, I talked too much” “No no no not at all. Keep talking” with our best boy Jamil?
Waaah my inbox is full of Jamil asks (*´ー`*) I’m so proud of this community we lov Jamil here

“Sorry, I talk too much.” “No, no, no, not at all. Keep talking.” w/ Jamil

Mutual crushing/pining
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You and Jamil had spent countless hours together by that point, you sitting on a cushion while he cooked away for another feast that Kalim had thrown on top of him at random. It was still bright and warm outside when he started but, looking toward the sky now, you could see the filtering of the sun’s ray pushing over the edges of the world. Have you really been there for that long?
The two of you had been in silence the majority of the time. Your eyes would follow every task Jamil worked toward, unconsciously focusing on how skillfully he cut up different vegetables, the way he threw spices into pots without even checking how much he was putting in, him giving you a glance every so often to see if you were still with him.
“Do you want to taste test this?” he suddenly asked, and you only realized then that he was standing in front of you, his hand hovering under a spoon that had some type of soup in it. He was watching you intently. You must have started daydreaming without even realizing it.
After coming back to the real world, you nodded. Jamil slowly brought the spoon to your lips, tilting it a little so you could drink up the warm soup, and it was almost like a light went off in your eyes.
“Woooow!” you exclaimed, basically gushing over the tasty food. “You’re really so good at cooking, Jamil! What is this?”
“Vermicelli soup,” he responded before moving away, going back to continuing the cooking for the feast. You couldn’t let him get away so easily though. It was almost against your will, but you continued to shower him with compliments. At some point they moved on from just complimenting his food.
“And you’re so good at basketball too! I love watching you play, especially when I can cheer you on at games,” you said. Were you daydreaming again? You didn’t even realize what you were saying. “You work so hard- I admire everything that you do. I wish someone would take care of me as well as you take care of Kal-” You had cut yourself off finally, gaze locking with Jamil’s, a look in his eyes that you couldn’t explain. Was he mad at your unintentional rambling?
“Sorry, I talk too much,” you said suddenly, looking away, panic setting in as you began to think over everything you’d said. It was such an embarrassing situation.
Until you felt Jamil’s hand under your chin, pushing it up a little so that you could stare him directly in the eyes once again. “No no, not at all. Keep talking.” You could see the ghost of a smirk on his face, tips of soft fangs peeking from his slightly opened lips. You felt yourself short circuiting. Where had this sudden boldness come from??
Taking a deep breath, you decided that it was finally time to reveal all the compliments and admirations you kept hidden. Now he was the one short circuiting.

MCYT Demographic Survey Part 2 RESULTS
IT’S TIME!!!
Once again, thank you so much to everyone who participated! 1,654 people total responded to this - about four and a half times as many respondents as the first survey. It’s honestly incredible. I’m so happy the rest of you are as interested as I am in this stuff :D
The increased turnout is also why these results are being posted two days later than I’d intended. I want to give a HUGE thank you to my friend @quincepastey and my sibling @orestes-swimming for helping me out, and by helping I do mean they did basically all of the technical stuff for me, because my knowledge of spreadsheets was not up to the task. So thank you to Cupid for organizing all the data from questions 3 and 4 into something comprehensible for me, and thank you to Kal for making the charts! They are absolutely the MVPs and everyone reading this should go check them out. Thank you guys so much <3
Reblogs of this post are very appreciated. It would be awesome if the info about the results could reach everyone who submitted a response, so if you reblogged my first post about this survey, please consider reblogging this one as well!
For your convenience, here’s a link to the results of the first survey I did six months ago. Now - on to the results!
Question 1: What is your age range?
Tumblr media
Compared to the results of the first survey, we can see that things have changed a bit! Specifically, the fandom has shifted just a little bit older. The solid majority of the fandom is still in the 15-17 year old range, but it’s gone down from almost half to closer to 40%. Almost a third of the fandom are ages 18-20, up from close to a fifth six months ago. 21-25 year olds have increased from about 10% to about 14%. And the youngest segment, 13-14 year olds, have gone from almost 20% of the fandom down to 12% - the sharpest change of all.
Finally, nearest and dearest to my own heart, there are now 26 whole people in the fandom aged 26-30 and 9 people aged 30+. Old Squad is growing, folks. We are... the 2% 😎 Special shoutout to the person who said their 15 year old kid got them into the fandom. I hope you know just how cool you are.
These results are interesting, but it’s also impossible to say how accurate the data is. This survey and the previous one were only posted on my blog, and they only reached a wider audience through the reblogs of my followers. So do these changes reflect actual changes in the demographics of the fandom as a whole, or is it just that my followers (and the people who follow them) have shifted older? To try to avoid this bias in the future, I may reach out to some well-known younger bloggers and ask them to reblog the next survey I do so that I can reach a more even audience.
Question 2: What is your gender?
Tumblr media
Apologies for the small text, but there were so many unique write-in answers that I wanted to include them all. You may want to open the image in a separate tab for better quality.
In contrast to the age question, the gender spread of the fandom has remained pretty much the same. About half the fandom is still female, the nonbinary crowd has increased from 20% to 25%, 7% of us are male, almost 7% are genderfluid, and about 5% are agender. Just like last time, most of the write-in responses fell into the vague categories of either genderqueer or questioning.
No surprises on this one! The fandom continues to be overwhelmingly female and queer. Next time I think I’ll include genderqueer and questioning as options to try to catch some of those people into a formal category. All y’all are so valid, especially the person who wrote in their gender as “soup” <3
The results for questions 3 and 4 will be under a cut, because I don’t want to completely destroy people’s dashes.
Before I get into the last two questions, a couple notes. First, I want to explain how I came up with the list of creators, since a lot of people were either excited or disappointed by the fact that a few different people were on there.
On the last survey, this question was a write-in, and I had to transcribe and collate all the answers by hand to come up with the actual number of people who followed each creator. For this survey, I simply took the list that came out of the previous one and pasted it in! I also added a few people who no one wrote in six months ago but who are much more prominent now (Ranboo being the biggest example). So if you were excited to see your favorite small creator listed as an option, they were there because someone wrote them in last time! And if you wrote in your favorite small creator here, they’ll be an option on the next survey. The list is entirely crowdsourced and it will expand with each survey.
That said, the same also applies for more controversial creators. Specifically, I’m talking about CallMeCarson. Several people questioned my decision to keep him on the list - and to be honest, I considered taking him out. But in the end I decided to leave him in as an option for the sake of completeness and consistency with the previous survey. I want to emphasize that this is not me condoning his actions. But for the sake of the data, I felt that it was best to leave him in.
That said, let’s move on to questions 3 and 4!
Question 3: What creator(s) do you primarily follow?
Tumblr media
So, it’s harder to compare with the previous survey on this one, and that’s purely because on the previous survey I didn’t have the help I did here. The chart I was able to make for the results back in October was frankly trash. Also, the fact that I split “followed creators” into two questions - primarily and casually followed - definitely throws things off. However, we can still do a certain amount of comparison!
The most obvious change is Ranboo. He straight up was not on the previous survey at all - I think he’d been streaming for less than a month at the time. Now, about 55% of respondents listed him as someone they primarily follow. The Dream SMP itself has also jumped dramatically. Previously, about 5% of people wrote in Dream SMP. That has increased to over half. Quackity has gone from less than 2% to about 30%. Karl has gone from 4% to 30%. Phil has gone from about 8% to a little under 50%. The SBI have jumped from 11% to over 40%.
Techno has gone from about 50% to over 60%. Tommy has gone from 45% to over 55%. Wilbur has jumped from 43% to 55%. Tubbo has remained steady at about 38%.
Dream has apparently dropped some of his following percentage-wise, falling from 50% to about 35%. However, George, Sapnap, and the Dream Team itself have all jumped from 10-12% to almost 30%.
I’m not going to go over the rest of the list, because that would just get way too long. However, I will drop a link to the spreadsheets of data for this survey and the previous one, so anyone who wants to can do some comparison of their own!
Question 4: What creators do you casually follow?
Tumblr media
I won’t do as detailed of a comparison on this question, because there’s nothing to compare it to - this question wasn’t on the previous survey. However, it’s interesting to see how many more people follow Fundy, Nihachu, BadBoyHalo, Captain Puffy, Eret, Awesamdude, and Jack Manifold casually rather than as a primary favorite. Out of the top twelve, Karl, Quackity, Phil, and Tubbo are the only ones who don’t have a major discrepancy between the amount of people who follow them casually versus primarily.
I would be curious to hear people’s thoughts on why that’s the case! Personally, I would guess it’s a combination of each of their approaches to lore on the Dream SMP, the frequency and times of day that they stream, and the people they tend to make content with and be associated with by the fandom. I may go into that more later, but this post is already very long, so I’ll hold off for now. Here’s a link to this question’s spreadsheet for anyone who wants to take a closer look!
...And that’s a wrap! Good grief, this got long. Kudos to anyone who actually read the whole thing because I know my attention span would be challenged. I’m already thinking about the next survey - a couple people suggested that I add in questions about orientation and nationality, and while I want to keep the survey pretty tight in its scope, I am considering it. It would be even more data to process but it would be interesting to know!
I would love to hear people’s thoughts on these results! I’m only one person, so I know there’s interesting stuff I must have missed. Please, please feel free to reblog with your thoughts and observations! A lot of work went into this (both from me and from Cupid and Kal! Thank you guys again!), so I’m really hoping to hear what people think about it :D
I plan to reblog this and reply to some of the things people wrote in at the end, so stay tuned for that. And once again: thank you all for your interest in this project of mine <3 See you with another one in six months!

I need DC Nuclear Winter Kara Zor El to replace mainline-canon Kara
Tumblr media
I need this more seasoned, tougher/older Kara to replace the cheerleader, vanilla supertoken cosplayer.
NW Kara looks like see’s seen shit, done things, been there, experienced. And she has her own life now with this little one.
So sick of looking at this:
Tumblr media
Just eye candy, glorified Superman cosplayer with no impact or real relevance (Correction: She’s had impact but usually when she fucking died lol), when most of the Robins have more going for them in terms of storytelling intrigue than Supergirl, there’s a problem..
Cause every time she dies an honorable death or a good idea or concept is introduced for her (Red Lanter/Daughter of Darkseid), DC just keeps bringing her back to square ‘BLAND’ one.
Fact is, she needs to stop riding Superman’s coattails & do something else.
Become a plumber, something, anything. jfc.
OR like when the Viltrumies infiltrated Earth to live normal lives per the Thragg/Mark/Nolan truce
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have her raise her child with a spouse (male/female) out in Norway or something, she’s a First Responder and she can take care of situations/dangers with her powers when they show up, very lowkey.
She doesn’t want to be a costumed “superhero”, but wants to help. Then when big Crisis events happen, she gets involved in Kryptonian Ceremonial garment.
Or do everything i said.... just on ANOTHER PLANET- where a full-blooded Kryptonian would be needed.
That’s different enough from Clark to where she can do hero stuff, live a life, and it’s not her wearing his colors just for the sake of it. Like she’s following the trend or something.
Tumblr media
Superboy Conner, clone of Lex & Kal, serious identity crisis story.
Tumblr media
Young Justice Superboy, a lot more mortality, acceptance of self, also anger issues, & other lessons learned with this version of Conner.
Tumblr media
Then Clark Kent (Prime) who was such an unstable mess, killed so many, while believing he was the hero. Dude was menace.
Eventually ended up getting his shit together and saving everyone, multiverse scale.
SERIOUS fall from grace/redemption story.
Tumblr media
In terms of Superman Lore: SUPERBOY PRIME is how you do a knock-off Supertoken- right.
I’m going to commit to skimming through her recent arcs to see if there’s anything worth reading (Supergirl Rebirth #1 was underwhelming) DC REALLY needs to venture out their comfort zone & canonize something different for Kara.
Red Hood is proof that a spinoff character doesn’t have to coattail ride the original template; She doesn’t need to pull a “Supergirl being SUPER” & basically be Clark.
Let her be something of her own, and what that is doesn’t have to be entirely nice or appealing, which is where her staying power is, just a cutesy female superman. RULE 63 Gimmick appeal
Guarantee you, as soon they do that, she’ll evolve beyond that surface level appeal and will blow up & actually have a stake in the DC Universe beyond being token female superman and being present in Crisis events.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Otherwise she’ll remain in the hamster wheel cycle of being a non-factor, side attraction.
I’ve read some of the Danvers matrix arc back in the day, weird but i appreciate the attempt BACK then to do something different. Wouldn’t mind if they brought her back.
Tumblr media
Read some New52 Supergirl, bought the #1 day 1 it dropped back in 2011, hated her goddamn suit. Really liked her anger issues/flaws, & how that tied into Red Lantern but ofc that didn’t last.
The Batman/Superman debut for her introduced the Darkseid thing ofc not only did that not go anywhere but they killed her, as she died saving Superman, Superman’s alone again, which is his part of tragedy, good.
She died honorably.............
....then she came back anyway, lmfao.
Hell i prefer Caitlin Fairchild over Supergirl
Smart as shit brawler, on the shy side, yet ironically the bonified LEADER of her team because she knows what she’s doing.
Not a knockoff of anyone, the one & only Fairchild of Gen13.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nuclear Winter, as simple as it was is worthy of being canon. I want an animated short for this, the works.
KARA In-Ze is in fact THE BEST Kara take in post 2000 just by not being Kal’s miracle Fanfic cousin, but NW Kara is close 2nd because of how off-brand she looks. And the actual story, like Mad Max but Older Kara..
One of the most interesting Kara’s for me in years and all they did was get rid of the midriff & skirt, the girl next door appeal, allow her to grow up and adopt a child; Now she has a real, tangible responsibility.
Something of her own. And that is something they did right vs the DCAU where she just got gaga eyes for Brainiac all of sudden.
DCAU did right by divorcing her from the EL House ( only because DC wouldn’t let Timm use Kara Zor-El, thankfully) and Nuclear Winter did right (by her responsibility not being a love interest)
Not that a partner isn’t a good stake (I’ve suggested Kara having a family myself many times) but the way NW did it? Better than my own pitch ngl.
simple things.

After Aurora’s End: Part 13: Kal Gilwraeth-Jones
I know I keep saying this about all the kids, but considering I wrote 10 pages of Kal, we can say he’s my fave. Also, this is the first one of these where I’ve written from the SO’s POV, but my lovely Shae Illaradae deserves it. This is really long but I hope y’all enjoy anyway!

Kal Gilwraeth-Jones
~Tyler~
Saedii was acting weird. He couldn’t put his finger on what it is that she’s doing to make him think that way, but something was off about her lately.
Actually that was a lie. He knew exactly what was throwing him off about Saedii.
She was clinging.
Saedii Gilwraeth didn’t cling and yet she was. She had barely let Lae out of her sight in a week, which was freaking out their four year old just as much as it was freaking out her father.
And Saedii was clinging to Tyler more often than not too. His lap had basically become her seat and when they slept, he woke up to find her wrapped around him so tightly she was almost under his skin, and if he tried to move before she woke up, her grip would just tighten.
He wasn’t complaining, he was just confused.
~
“Maybe she’s pregnant,” Scarlett said with a shrug and his eyes nearly jumped out of his skull. His sister reached over and took her baby daughter out of his arms and he was glad. He really didn’t want to drop a newborn.
“Why would she be pregnant?” He said and Scar tilted her head, an amused smile on her face.
“When I was pregnant with Rory and Cat, I was all over Fin,” Tyler sighed and shook his head.
“Scar, you’re all over Fin all the time. Why do you think you’ve had five kids in four years?” He says and his sister pokes her tongue out at him, her eyes falling to her daughter.
“I had five kids in four years because I don’t know how long it’s been since you’ve seen Fin, but he’s very irresistible. And we make cute babies,” she shrugs, running one finger over Steph’s nose.
“Saedii isn’t pregnant,” he says, but they both know he isn’t nearly as sure as he can be. His eyes fall on his niece and he smiles. Maybe another baby wouldn’t be so bad.
~
Their ship is dark when he gets home,  but it was late so he wasn’t surprised. He checked in on his daughter, pressing a kiss to her forehead before he goes looking for Saedii. He finds her curled up on his side of their bed, her nose buried in his pillow. He climbed into bed beside her and curled around her, wrapping her into his chest. The motion must wake her and her eyes open.
“Hi,” he says. She smiles softly.
“Hi. How was Scar?” She says, her voice gravelly from sleep.
“Considering she had twins less than a month ago, a little sleep deprived, but alright. Are you okay?” He asks and Saedii just frowns.
“Yeah, why? Lae and I were just tired so we had an early night,” Tyler’s brows scrunch slightly.
“Saeds, you’ve been really overprotective of Lae lately,” he says and her frown deepens, twisting into irritation.
“I’m her mother, it’s my job to protect her, Ty,” she says, slightly offended. He kisses her glyph to calm her down before speaking again.
“I know, Saeds. It’s my job to protect her too, but even she’s noticed you being more overprotective lately. What’s going on?” He said and she just buried her head into his chest with a sigh.
“I don’t know. Lately I just can’t let her go. Or you. I missed you like a hole in my chest while you were gone today and I don’t even know why,” she says. He notices then that she’s wearing his Academy hoodie. He runs his fingers through the hair at her temple and she relaxes into the gestures and he considers her, Scarlett’s words still weighing on him.
“We’ll figure it out. I love you,” he says. She blushes slightly at the words and doesn’t respond, instead wrapping her arms and legs around him tighter and burying her head in his chest.
~
He got home from the Academy the next day to an empty ship. Thinking nothing of it and assuming based on the missing pod that Saedii and Lae had gone out, he started cooking dinner for them, humming to himself.
He’s just finishing chopping the mushrooms he needs when he hears the pod docking and smiles, lowering the heat on the stove and entering the living room right as Lae and Saedii enter. He crouches down just in time for Lae to run into his arms and scoops her up with a feigned roar that makes her giggle.
“Hi, little one, how was your day?” He says and Lae grins.
“Mumma took me to play with Rory but Cat didn’t play and I got to see the babies but I had to be super gentle because they’re small ‘tato’s and mumma said if I couldn’t be gentle with Aunt Scar’s babies then I can’t meet the new baby when mumma has it…” Lae keeps speaking but Tyler doesn’t listen after that, his eyes instead glued to Saedii’s.
“Lae, you’ve talked your dad’s ear off enough. Go get ready for dinner please?” Saedii says and Lae squirms until Tyler puts her down. The second Lae is out of the room, Tyler rounds the couch and sweeps Saedii off her feet, grinning.
“When did you find out?” He said when he finally puts her down, but doesn’t let her go. Saedii shrugs.
“I left Lae with Scar and Fin for a half hour today while she was playing with Rory. Kid didn’t even notice,” she said, “and then I just kinda… slipped it to Lae and told her to keep it a secret which-“
“She doesn’t know how to do so of course she told me,” Tyler finishes, shaking his head. “Well played Gilwraeth,” he says and Saedii smirks.
“It was well done of me, wasn’t it? Now can you please finish dinner. It smells amazing and I’m starving. Your kid’s a menace,” she says but they’re both grinning. Tyler winks.
“Our kid.”
~
“It’s a boy!” Tyler says to his squad. The words cause a roar of celebration in the hospitals waiting room and he’s being inundated with hugs from everyone within seconds. “Saedii and the baby are both doing great with ten fingers and ten toes all around. Lae, sweetheart?” His daughter looks up from where she’s playing quietly and Tyler smiles, “Do you want to come meet your brother?” She grins and runs to Tyler, who scoops her up. “Kal, we also want you to meet him first,” his brother-in-law smiles and follows them into the hospital room, where Saedii is sitting up in bed, softly cooing to a small bundle in her arms. She looks up when they come in and Kal sees a rare smile on her face.
“Lae, baby, come meet your brother,” Tyler drops the four year old onto the bed and she crawls into her mothers embrace.
“So, what did you decide for a name?” Kal asks and Tyler and Saedii share a look. Tyler turns to his brother, grinning.
“Kal Gilwraeth, meet Kal Gilwraeth-Jones.”
~ 5 Years Old ~
“No,” Kal says and Tyler throws his head back to stare at the ceiling. His son had an obsession with the word no and it was as funny as it was absolutely driving him to early grey hairs.
“Buddy, you gotta put your shoes on so you can go with Mum,” he responds, grabbing his son’s sneakers from where Kal had thrown them when taking them off yesterday.
“No,” Kal repeats and Tyler enters into a stare down with his son, who takes the challenge, staring back with eyes that match his father’s.
“Kal, would you please put your shoes on?” Kal crosses his arms and pouts.
“No,” he says and Tyler turns at the laughter that comes quietly from the doorway behind him. Saedii is standing there, chuckling at the display. Kal grins.
“Hi, mumma!” He says, waving at her. Saedii waves back.
“Hey, baby, are you having fun messing with dad?” Kal nods excitedly and Saedii laughs when Tyler just lies back on the floor with a groan, wheezing when his son jumps on him.
Have fun with that Jones he hears her thoughts in his head and then she walks away.
“Dad, why shoes?” Kal asked, and Tyler sighs.
“They protect your feet so you can walk wherever you want. And you need them while you’re with mum today in New Syldra,” he explains for the fourth time that morning.
“Why can’t you come? I’ll sit on your shoulders,” Kal says and Tyler finally sits up.
“Because, buddy, I have to go to work today,” he says and Kal pouts.
“Do you wear shoes at work, dad?” He asks and Tyler has to hold back a laugh.
“Yeah, buddy, I wear shoes at work,” he says. Kal looks between his face and the sneakers in his hands and grabs the shoes, beginning to put them on. He pauses long enough to look back at his dad, and then down at his still bare feet.
“You should go put your shoes on, dad, his son says, genuinely serious. Tyler suddenly heard raucous laughter from outside the door and he stood and walked outside to find Saedii with her head pressed against the wall, laughing so hard she was crying. He presses against her, pinning her to the wall and kissing her cheek.
“All going according to plan, Gilwraeth,” he says, grinning. Saedii finally manages to take a breath and pats his shoulder.
“Mhm, sure it is, Jones. Your son is right, go put your shoes on.”

~ Kal ~
“Checkmate,” he says, moving his queen in a way that made his opponent swear loudly, attracting the attention of his instructor.
“13 moves. Not bad, Cadet Gilwraeth,” he grins at the praise and starts to reset the board. “Gilwraeth, your next competitor will be the winner from the other classes tournament, so you can relax while everyone else finishes up and we wait for the others to join us,” his instructor says and he nods, reaching into his satchel and pulling out a worn paper copy of Sun Tzu’s The Art of War.
It is a rare copy that his dad had received from Founder Kim and it was filled with annotations that he loved to consider and debate as he read. What he wouldn’t give to meet Nari Kim and discuss her thoughts.
He was scrawling across the page when the other class of Alpha cadets enter the room, alongside his dad, who taught that class when he wasn’t running the Academy. Kal caught the discussion he had with his instructor and smiled slightly when his dad beamed at his instructors praise for him.
As much as he wanted to keep eavesdropping, he was about to play a game of chess, so he needed to focus. He places his book back in it’s bag and cracks his fingers nervously. He didn’t know who he was playing and that was a variable he hated. Before he had a moment to consider the possibilities, someone took the seat across from him. He looked up and felt something deep in his chest clench as he could do nothing but stare at her.
The girl sitting across from him was pretty. Too pretty. He had never met her but the blue on her uniform made her soft, wide, green eyes shine. Her hair was almost iridescent white, braided in four and pulled into a messy bun, revealing a glyph for the Waywalker cabal. She holds out a hand for him to shake, as etiquette dictates, and his eyes catch on the baby blue of her fingernails. He just stares, frozen still.
“I’m Shae,” the girl says quietly and Kal is caught by how he feels that she could speak forever and he would never be tired of listening to her. He still hasn’t spoken, is still staring. Eventually, she withdraws her hand and frowns at him.
“Alright, everyone,” his instructor claps and it’s like the room comes back to focus, “Cadets Gilwraeth-Jones and Illaradae have proven themselves as winners to your individual classes, so now we will see which of them will come out as victorious. Remember, a month off of chores is at stake here. Cadet Illaradae, you may begin,” his instructor says and Shae, this girl that is too pretty to be anything but a blindspot, turns to their board and surprises everyone by moving her knight first.
He was convinced that was a suicide move, until 22 moves later when her voice, like bells in his ears, says “checkmate.”
~18 years old~
“You’re late. Strip,” Shae says, already opening the buttons on her Academy issued shirt. He grins but shrugs.
“Sorry, had a meeting with my dad. No foreplay?” He says, obliging her and pulling his shirt up and over his head. He throws it away right as she pushes him against the wall, her lips and tongue finding his.
“Foreplay is for people who aren’t late, Gilwraeth,” she says and he rolls his eyes at her but pulls them back together, grabbing her thighs under her skirt and lifting her, turning them to press her against the wall. She groans softly into his mouth and for all her brash talk, she melts into him.
~
“You’re not staying?” he sighs as she gets up before he can even catch his breath. He doesn’t know why he’s surprised, cold and distant is basically Shae Illaradae’s modus operandi. Doesn’t change the pain he feels every time she pushes him away. His life would probably easier if he didn’t feel the Pull for her, but he does and he loves her, even if she can’t - or won’t - let him. “Shae?” She barely turns.
“The Draft is tomorrow, I can’t stay,” she says, pulling her skirt back on. He sits up and in a last ditch effort, wraps his arms around her from behind, kissing the soft spots on her necks.
“Shae, please, just for a little longer,” he pleads. For a second, he feels the cold melt, but then she seems to gather herself.
“I can’t Kal,” she says, standing. Grumbling he gets to his feet as well.
“Why? What is so awful about my affection that you push me away, Shae?” She sighed, rubbing her temple. When she looks up, there is pain behind her eyes.
“It’s not awful, I just can’t have it,” she says, throwing her shirt on. Kal sighs, running his hand down his face.
“Why not? I’m offering it to you. You have it, Shae, why won’t you take it?” She ignores him, focussing on the buttons on her uniform and he feels a rare flare of his temper. “Shae!”
“Because you’ll leave,” Shae snaps, looking at him finally. He stares in shock.
“What?” He asks and Shae groans, looking up like she was searching for something on the ceiling.
“If I did what I wanted to do and let you give me affection, you will just do what everyone else does, leave,” she says, and then, just like that, she’s gone again, like air slipping through his fingers.
“Fuck,” he mutters, running his hands through his hair before pulling his own shirt on.
~
“Second best squad out there, huh, Illaradae?” She whipped around at the sound of his voice. The docks were bustling with new squad’s loading and prepping their longbows, but Shae’s squad moved like a well oiled machine. Shae herself was raising a perfect eyebrow at his comment and she sauntered down the hatch to stand face to face with him.
“Second best? Please, Gilwraeth, how you got so many Draft picks and still chose a janky squad is lost on me. Tell me, did you come over here to pick up tips on how to actually run a squad?” She says and he rolls his eyes, but they both know it was empty banter. He may not be able to get Shae to show feelings for him romantically, but they at least shared a deep respect for each other as Alphas and tacticians.
“Sure, Shae, if that’s what you want to believe. I actually came over to talk to you about your revelation to me the other night,” he watched as she grimaced, her jaw tight.
“Oh?” Is all she says, pushing her hands into her pockets.
“I saw your mission directive. You’re going to be gone for the whole year of your service, so we won’t see each other for at least a year. I came over to tell you that I’ll be waiting for you when you get back,” her eyes widen slightly and he hears a slight hitch in her breath. He steps a tad closer to her, “I’m not going to leave, Shae, trust me, if I was going to, I would have done it a lot time ago. Even if you don’t feel the same, know that you’ll have my heart while you’re gone,” he yearns to touch her but her Squad mates whistle for her attention, so he merely salutes her, wishes her squad good hunting, and walks away.

~ Shae ~
“Okay, dream team squad leader, you got anything?” Kaera, her Ace says with a shit eating grin and Shae winces.
She guesses she shouldn’t be surprised, they were, after all, having a “girls night” per the demands of their squad’s Face. The four of them had sat in a circle in the living space of their ship, eating and talking, and then Allari, her Gearhead, had suggested they share secrets, which had immediately been jumped on by Sasha, the squad’s Face, who loved secrets. At least she was kind enough to keep them.
Shae didn’t meet their eyes at their prompting, instead just pulling at her fingers slightly. She knew only one secret but it had never been spoken aloud, because then she had to face it too.
But it was her turn and her squaddies were nothing if not relentless.
“Shae, whatever it is, you can tell us,” Allari says, trying to ease her into it. Sasha nudges her and shakes her head but Kaera is not letting it go.
“Come on, Shae, what could be so bad?” She says and Shae groans.
“I don’t want to tell you,” she says, shaking her head slightly.
“Why?” Sasha says, her hand hovering over Shae’s shoulder, like she wants to comfort her, but is well aware of how Syldrathi’s feel about touch.
“Because if I say it, it’s real and I have to face it and… you’ll realise I’m just a coward who’s scared of my own feelings,” that was met with silence and then Kaera reached over and without saying anything, took Shae’s hand, surprising everyone. Kaera didn’t touch if she could help it.
“Shae Illaradae, you are our fearless leader and nothing will change that,” Sasha says forcefully, like if she said it strong enough, Shae would believe her more. “You don’t have to face it alone, if you don’t want to,” she finishes, softer, and Shae nods, curling her legs under her chin and taking a deep breath.
“When I was a child, my parents gave me away. They gave me a letter saying that they couldn’t ‘handle me anymore’ and sent me to live with an uncle. He ran off with a man a couple of years later and left me behind. Ever since, I’ve just been… I don’t let myself express care for others because they will leave. It’s all people really know how to do when it comes to me. So, for years, I’ve felt the Pull for, I- I have loved Kal Gilwraeth-Jones and I know he feels the same, but I just can’t let him in, because he’ll leave and if he leaves…” she looks over at Kaera, the only other Syldrathi in the room, the only one who could possibly understand the depth of feelings the Pull elicits.
“It’ll nearly kill you,” Kaera says and Shae nods.
“You have to face him Shae,” Allari says softly. “What you’re doing is actively stopping you and him from being able to be happy. If you know he loves you, you need to either reciprocate or let him down gently.”
“I know. It just scares me. He’s just such a perfect catch, y’know?” She says and suddenly they were all snorting in quiet laughter. “What?” She asked, suddenly feeling very irritated.
“Shae, Kal is attractive sure, but he’s also… unapproachable. He always has his head in some strategy book or regulation manual,” Sasha says, and Shae just frowns at her.
“He’s not unapproachable though. He’s quiet, but he’s kind, and funny, and he’s so smart-“
“And he makes your heart flutter with his knowledge of Genghis Khan and Sun Tzu. Maker, he’s so dreamy,” Kaera said breathlessly, fanning her face dramatically and feigning swooning into Allari’s waiting arms. Her three squad mates devolve into laughter and Shae can’t help but join in quietly.
She had to admit that she had some pretty great squaddies.
~20 years old~
~ Kal ~
He hated Academy open days. There was always too many people, all of whom wanted to talk to him and while he was fine interacting with people, he would much rather be hidden away from the massive push of the crowd. But today he had hope, because this was the first open day since his Draft, and every squad had to be here.
Which meant Shae was coming back. He hadn’t seen her in over a year, after her squad finished a year of Syldrathi outreach they had immediately been sent further out to help resolve some Rikerite civil conflicts, so she had not come back to the Academy between missions.
She was still keeping his heart with her though, so he was anxious to see her. He had tried to give her space over the last year and a half. But he messaged her occasionally and she always messaged him back, so he had hope.
But hope wouldn’t stop him fidgeting and watching the door constantly that day. Eventually, it seemed his mother grew tired of it and pulled him aside.
“Kal Finian Gilwraeth-Jones, what is going on with you today?” She says and he grimaces softly, but he knows there’s no lying to his mother. She knew him better than most people.
“I’m just… waiting on someone. It’s not a big deal, mum,” he says and her eyes narrow, but his attention is pulled away by the sound of gentle clapping and the sight of it’s source. Standing just inside the room’s door is Squad 017, and at the head of them, looking both gracious and also very uncomfortable at the attention, is Shae Illaradae.
Her face had obviously seen some sun recently and her iridescent hair, pulled into just one braid today, was shimmering under the lights of the atrium. She looked exquisite. And then her eyes find his across the room, and she smiles. His knees threaten to buckle at the openness he had never seen in her face.
“Not a big deal, my ass,” he hears his mother utter and then she’s walking away, leaving him making very obvious heart eyes at his Be’shmai. Finally the soft applause dies down and Shae’s squad disperses into the crowd. Shae begins to cross the room towards him and he swears when he sees his parents walking towards her to intercept her. He rushes to stop them but they reach Shae at the same time.
Her confusion is not outweighed by her training and she stands straight and salutes his dad.
“Admiral Jones,” she then turns and dips her head at his mum, “Templar Gilwraeth,” finally she turns to him and she awkwardly smiles, “Kal,” and then both of his parents have to watch him blush bright scarlet.
“Legionnaire Illaradae, I have to say, I was quite impressed by your report on your work in New Syldra. It’s rare that the Aurora Legion actually take such dramatic steps in change, and standing up to any Unbroken Templar is no small feat. Some might call such provocation reckless,” his mother says and Shae’s mouth falls open slightly before she composes herself.
“Thank you, Templar. To your critique, I have found in my previous time interacting with our people that Unbroken Templars rarely respect outright appeasement. Provocation, as you call it, is not always reckless and is sometimes even necessary. It keeps the wolves out of lambs dens,” Kal watches his mother consider Shae and then she dips her chin.
“Interesting. You make a good point legionnaire. It’s always nice to see that this legion has intelligent people representing the intergalactic community. Ty, I think your sister just arrived, let’s go see her,” and then Saedii Gilwraeth squeezes her sons arm and drifts away, leaving Kal and Shae standing there.
“Sorry, she’s a-“ he starts as she does.
“Wow that was-“ she pauses at the same time he does and they laugh softly. Shae takes a breath and steps closer to him, taking his hand. “Can we talk?” She whispers, so soft he almost misses it. He nods and she drags him out of the party and into a small classroom along the hallway. He lets her drop his hand when they enter the room and she crosses to the other side, one of her hands scratching her elbow. When it becomes obvious that she can’t say anything, he sighs.
“How have you been, Shae?” He says and she looks at him and it’s indescribable how every one of her thoughts is so loud but so jumbled that he can’t understand any of it.
“I’m sorry,” she finally says, tears flooding her eyes. He goes to say something but she just holds a hand up and keeps speaking. “I was so scared of getting hurt, so scared that you would do what everyone else does and leave, that I walked out on you before I could give you a chance to prove me wrong. I left you and I’m sorry for that because I love you and I never wanted to do that to someone I love,” she says and he nearly chokes on air. He wants to run to her but his feet are glued to the floor.
“You love me?” He asks, but really it’s a statement. She nods.
“I love you. I love that you will try to argue chess results and that you always defend the people you care about. I love your smile and how you laugh. I love that you love so freely and that you do not give up. I love that you work hard and are passionate and kind and I love that you’re smart enough to have memorised Sun Tzu and agree that basically all poetry is an absolute nightmare,” he laughs, but it is choked out by a sob. Finally, Shae steps closer and takes his hands, pressing up on her tip toes to touch their foreheads together, her nose brushing his. “Most of all, I love you, Kal Gilwraeth-Jones, because you are you and there is no part of my heart that does not belong to you, no part of my soul that does not call to yours,” she finishes and before she can pull away, he is picking her up off her feet, squeezing her in a hug, his face buried in her neck.
“I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you,” he says, before finally putting her back on the ground and taking her cheeks to guide her lips to his. They fell into each other like this was where they belonged.
“Pay up, Allari!” Echoed through the door and they pulled apart, Kal shooting Shae a confused look. She just growls and whips the door open, only for five people to fall into the room, each of them wearing a different coloured Legion stripe. Squad 017.
“Okay, Illaradae, before you say anything, just wanted to let you know that you guys are super cute and you look great today,” Shae’s Gearhead says and Shae takes a breath in and then another out.
“You are all on rotating latrine duty when we ship back out, we clear?” They nod and when she points at the door, they shuffle out sheepishly. Shae closes the door behind them and turned back around to lock eyes with him. She laughs at them and he smiles at the sound, and then he’s catching her as she almost flies into his arms.
“Hey,” he whispers in her ear and she tilts her head up to look at him. He kisses her, quick and soft. “Love you,” he says and she smiles, green eyes shining.
“Love you too, Kal.”

One Night | Kalvin Phillips
I’ll try keep it short (unlike him😉) basically we met on a night out, flirted blah blah blah ended up fucking in the bathroom and with a cheeky creampie🥵My man also had a spit kink and it was the hottest thing ever, I love to think he’s got a dominant side away from those dimples and cheesy smile🥺
Warnings: creampie (obviously unprotected sex), spit kink, a bit of choking/dominance
A/N: tagging @fentybucky in this because I know how much you love Kal x
- - -
You meet Kalvin through mutual friends on a night out and the two of you instantly hit it off. He’s funny and charming, his dimpled smile and enigmatic personality immediately hooking you and you quickly find yourself falling for him. You know he’s flirting with you and you have no problem flirting back, your attraction growing with every positive reaction you elicit from him.
When he gets up to get another drink, you go with him, unabashedly grabbing his wrist and leading him to the toilets. Your lips meet his in a need-fueled kiss and it isn’t long until Kalvin is taking charge, pinning you against the wall as he slides one of his knees between your legs. His tattooed hand comes up and wraps around your neck, tilting your head back so he can press his thumb down over your bottom lip and teeth and spit in your mouth. “Swallow,” he growls in your ear, praising you when you do.
The door to the toilets opens up at that moment, and Kalvin drags you into the one-person room, shutting the door and locking it. The kisses get more frenzied after that once the two of you are alone. Kalvin bends you over the sink, pulling up your skirt and yanking your panties down to your ankles before roughly fucking into you. All you can do is brace your hands against the sink as he pounds into you, your body responding to his dick in ways you’d only been imagining until now. There was a dominant side to Kalvin that you hadn’t expected but loved, his hand tangling in your hair and tugging on it to make you arch your back so he can hit your g-spot in the best way.
“You gonna let me cum inside you?” He asks, his beard scraping over the skin of your cheek as he whispers in your ear.
“Please! Kalvin!” You whimper, on the edge of a mindblowing orgasm.
The feel of his cum coating your inner walls triggers your orgasm and your legs almost give out from underneath you at the power behind it. Kalvin holds you up, his arm wrapping around your waist as you sag against him, trying to catch your breath.
His cum drips out of your pussy and down your thighs and you know Kalvin’s watching it happen - you can feel his eyes on your ass and pussy, your cunt clenching around nothing as you try to push out more of his cum so he can keep watching you.
“So, when can I see you again?” He asks as you fix yourself, surprising you.
“Guess you’ll just have to wait and find out,” you reply, giving him a cheeky grin as you quickly kiss his cheek before sauntering out of the toilets and back over to the rest of your friends.

So how DO soulmarks work in the verse where Kon thinks his is fake?
This is one of those "you're born with your soulmark(s)" AUs, so baby Lois back in the day and even baby Kal-El all the way back on Krypton were both born with the marks they've got even though Kon didn't actually exist yet. Matching marks "resonate" with each other, which basically means they recognize and respond to each other and also means they share a low-level empathy bond that can strengthen and develop as the soulmates interact more and use it more. The bond is not particularly affected by physical distance, though probably being in the wrong reality would be an issue. EMOTIONAL distance, however, DEFINITELY has an effect.
If people who share a mark touch each other's marks, the bond's effectiveness is increased for the duration of the contact and it sort of "verifies" both the existence of the bond and the TYPE of bond. Due to the nature of the whole soulmark thing, the only way to convincingly fake a mark is either magic or straight up just telepathically lying to someone, but the magic option doesn't last very long and the telepathic one has to be actively on all the fucking time, so neither tends to work too well long-term. Non-magical shapeshifters have a fucking TIME of it whenever they're trying to sneak around as someone else, let me tell you.
At least, that's currently how it all works in my brain, haha. Editing may fuck with some of these rules later, but who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love your Clone Social Media post! Do you think they'd ever film/post responses to the SW equivalent to the reddit advice threads like r/Relationships or r/AmITheAssh0le? Or would any of them (the medics maybe?) develop an Ask Column? I feel like the clones would have a unique world view and their personalities would lend to some hilarious (or amazing) advice going out on the holonet.
Definitely. Kix and the other medics probably start an ask blog crossed with WebMD, drowning in gallows humor
“‘How quickly can you amputate a leg?’ That depends, how close is the nearest Jedi’s lightsaber?”
“‘I can’t stop sneezing and I have a fever’—sounds like Rhinovirus, no known cure. Terrible shame, but you might live.”
Ponds runs an Ask Abby/Miss Manners ask column about clones and Jedi, with Mace as a reference for the Jedi and a popular guest for philosophical debate.
Gree makes sci-show vlogs about alien species and documents his brothers’ antics. Sometimes Bly makes guest appearances to talk science.
As for r/relationships and r/AITA, Wolffe co-admins both, with Bly on the former and Rex on the latter. Pretty much every AITA post is responded to with ‘yes’, either earnestly, or with blatant sarcasm for the ‘no’s followed by why it’s a no. While Bly has the rose-tinted glasses on for the relationship blog, Wolffe is that one perpetual single in every friend group who gives stone-cold logical advice.
Stone is on Space!youtube, explaining laws and their pros and cons, explaining loopholes and weird technicalities and the process of the Senate to pass laws, as well as updates from around Coruscant. It’s basically the SW version of Last Week Tonight.
Fox runs r/JustSenatorThings. He documents the antics and mannerisms of senators. He also answers personal questions.
“How often do I—hey, Thire! What’s this word?”
“How’s it spelled?”
“S-L-E-E-P.”
“FOX.”
“No, I know how to spell that.”
Thorn runs r/JustFoxThings. He documents the on-going war between the caf mug stack vs Fox’s paperwork.
There emerges Space!Insta, where GAR clone art is posted. Dogma posts foodporn, both actual food and GAR rations. “Here we see another beautiful nutrient stick. Full of 100% of a brother’s daily iron requirement and not a hint of flavor to be found.” He sneaks into the temple when the 501st is planetside to document the snack bar in the knights’ quarters. It’s only open odd hours and there is a single hotdog spinning, on and on, that none of the knights will even make eye contact with.
Toast clone runs a blog solely about different types of bread and his attempts at making them in the meager kitchens he has access to.
Wooley and Tup make hair tutorials, taking requests and experimenting on their own time. 212th and 501st meet ups are fun for them.
A space!reddit is made of Cryptid Commanders, made by their men finding said commanders up at force-forsaken hours getting caf, once of Bly hanging from the ceiling with the camera light reflecting off his helmet visor, and of Fox passed out in various ways around his office.
Space!Tiktok is sees a lot of Ahsoka and her men. Unfortunately Rex and Anakin are terrible at tiktok dances, so they’re usually her camera crew while Fives and Tup back her up; it starts a craze. Caleb (and eventually Depa) dance with Gray and their men, which means Mace and Ponds have to do something (classy of course, but it pleases the kids so Mace does it and will never admit to it being fun), Aayla and Bly look well rehearsed but claim they did it by mirroring the video reference they had on, eventually Ahsoka, Shaak, Aayla AND Luminara do one together. Quinlan does them just to annoy his commander; it works. The clones are more than happy to answer questions their followers send in as well, about themselves or the war, about anything. They like giving civilians the chance to see them in a better, individual light than dime a dozen flesh droids.
There begin r/JustCloneThings where brothers post about specifically clone related jokes and issues, and r/JustJediThings, where they post about their Jedi. (When your Jedi says the drop zone failed the vibe check.) (Won’t sleep for more than ten minutes but will meditate for four hours because the Martial Commander smiled.)
(If you suspect your Jedi knows Mando’a, switch to complete gibberish and see if they react at all. Feel free to make up hand signs to mess with them.)
Then come the proud big brother postings about their Jedi commanders, the good ole Mandalorian genes making the men gush over their respective kids when it’s safe to do so. The kids making progress in their training, and some have the honor of seeing their commanders knighted and made generals. They teach the little ones to track and lay low, how to shoot straight and wield vibroblades when they’ve grown some. Sometimes just the kids being cute, like Caleb napping against Depa, or Kal riding his master’s shoulders, and Ahsoka snuggling between Anakin and Rex on a long flight. ‘Doting grandmaster’ is a popular tag thanks to Mace and Obi-wan; Caleb and Ahsoka get away with things Depa and Anakin would’ve been severely grounded for, and the clones love watching them steam in the background while their padawans are protected by said doting grandmasters.
Note: the cursed hot dog is a joke between my roommate and I. Upon learning the knights’ snack bar existed, we determined it was only open for ten minutes at 2 am and that there’s a magical enigmatic hot dog amongst the misfit food (cotton candy jello, broken granola bars). It guards the temple and anyone who takes it and eats it gets super sick, and the hot dog is magically whole back in its case, ever rolling, on and on. It’s not meat, probably. No one’s sure, especially not the ones who attempted to eat it. Respect and fear the hot dog. It is eternal.

So…The United Planets being in the modern day is officially a thing
How would you utilize it as a part of DC(and the Superman mythos) going forward?
The United Planets has thankfully been something that's been carried forward even after Bendis' run on Superman ended.
Tumblr media
Makes me happy because apart from the Invisible Mafia and Red Cloud? Having Superman actually form the United Planets in modern day DC was one of the best parts of the Bendis run. It opens up a whole new field of stories that can be told with Superman, and offers a chance to flesh out DC's Cosmic side (which has historically been much weaker than Marvel's). Now we've got this fledgling organization founded by Superman that aims to be a democratic body for various races and planets. How is that going to work when some of these groups have been at each others throats for millennia before mankind even existed? Keep in mind that some of the members, such as Thaaros, Sinestro, and Zod, don't share Superman's morals. There's a good chance that the United Planets could mutate into something besides the organization dedicated to peace and justice that Kal intended for it to be, if the darker elements manage to take control.
And there will be attacks from outside the United Planets that will demand a response. How is Superman going to respond to those kinds of threats? How will Zod and the more ruthless members of the United Planets respond to those threats? Many would be quick to advocate for war as a method for solving disputes with other groups. Some might go as far as to suggest either enslavement or genocide against any group that poses a security risk or endangers the safety of the United Planets. For some of the members it wouldn't be that taboo behavior to respond to attacks in such way.
Aside from the internal politics and power struggles, there will also be external threats. We already had the previous Mongul attempt to destroy the organization, doubtlessly there will be more attempts from other directions. Besides the obvious threats, Brainiac, Solaris, the other Superman, GL, and any other DC Cosmic Rogues, there's one Superman Rogue in particular who I think would be perfect to head up an organization that acts as the United Planet's ideological rival: Maxima.
Tumblr media
Almerac is a place we know barely anything about beyond Maxima being the ruler and her Royal Family practicing eugenics. That means it's a blank slate that can be crafted into something deeper, something that makes Maxima a more interesting Rogue or LI for Superman and the United Planets. Way I would revamp Almerac is that besides being the planet where Maxima was born and rules, it is also the capital world for a group of various races and planets united in one organization: The Empire of Almerac. Unlike the United Planets being a federation with a democratic government where each member species has a voice, Almerac is a totalitarian government with the where the final voice on matters is Maxima's (in theory anyway), and they grow by either conquering other worlds and forcing them to join as vassals, or getting them to join willingly as protectorates. Some worlds would find Almerac preferable to the United Planets because Almeracan protectorates are free to run their internal affairs as they see fit, long as they provide the mandatory tribute to Maxima and obey any orders issued. In contrast, the United Planets under Superman expects it's members to adhere to certain standards regarding personal liberties and basic rights before they are allowed to join.
Now you've got two competing organizations jostling with each other to become the main powers in a region of the galaxy. Both Superman and Maxima are viewed as the "faces" of their respective organizations, Superman being the founder of the United Planets and Maxima being the current ruler of the Empire of Almerac. You can contrast the two governments and their paragons in a way that lets there be a personal aspect to the realpolitiking happening as the two jostle for influence, given Superman and Maxima's history with each other. Neither wants to directly fight the other, but there are elements in each's organization that doesn't believe the two can coexist. Both aren't sure if the two organizations can coexist either, or if they should. Superman finds Almerac's imperialism repugnant, while Maxima views the United Planets support for democracy as an existential threat to her rule. Conflict seems inevitable and compromise doesn't even seem all that appealing either given the ideology underlying each is diametrically opposed to one another. Whether it results in war or if another solution can be found would be the main plotline driving the Galactic Cold War that materializes.

COBB 2023 FAQs
Here is a big list of questions that we’ve gotten over the years and some things we want to clarify. We hope that this is a helpful tool for you. Each section has a header with individual questions under each of those. The sections are in the order as follows: Before signing up, Writer, Artist, Explicit content, Partner problems, Claiming, Dropping out, Check-ins, and Posting.
Who are the mods and where can I find them?
The mods for this event are Mod Autumn and Mod Kal. You can find us at @angelsfalling16 (Mod Autumn) and @ic3-que3n (Mod Kal).
What event is happening right now?
Right now we are hosting the Carry On Big Bang 2023, our sixth event.
What does that mean?
A big bang is a collaborative fandom event in which writers and artists come together to create masterpieces. Basically, the writers write a bunch of (usually quite long) fic and the artists choose one each (“claiming”) and make art for the fic. Then it will all be posted more or less at once in an explosion of fanwork.
Before signing up
1. How do I sign up?
We will post a link to the writer google form and artist google form on both tumblr and the discord server. Anyone can apply. You must provide your email, other contact information, and agree to our rules.
2. Do I need experience or a certain age to participate?
No! Though we do ask that participants under 18 do not make explicit fic or art.
3. What is a “pinch-hitter”?
A pinch-hitter is someone who is willing to cover for others. This usually only applies to artists, but sometimes we ask for writers as well. If someone drops out we will send an email out to those who said yes to being a pinch-hitter and ask someone to step in.
4. Can I sign up as both an artist and a writer?
Yes!
5. Do I need to have a certain skill level to participate?
No. We welcome all skill levels. Doesn’t matter if you’ve been writing/ creating art for one day or 10 years!
6. How many projects per person?
You can do as many as you would like. We ask you to keep your limits in mind though.
7. Why do you need my tumblr? What about discord? Why both?
We ask for these things because it’s another way to contact participants. We usually only resort to using these when someone hasn’t responded to a check-in through email.
8. What if my contact information changes?
Just send one of the mods a message with your past contact info and what you would like it changed to and we can fix that.
9. Will we get reminders about check-ins and posting?
Yes! We send out an email when the check-ins go live and those that haven’t responded once the due date is a day or two away will receive another email. On the final day of the check-in we will send out a reminder through tumblr/discord to those who have still not checked in.
10. I heard there was a discord. What’s that about?
We use our discord as a place to answer questions, bring people together, and give participants a space to talk about their works (without going too much into detail). There are separate channels for artists and writers as well as some general channels. We also have participants who participated in years past who have stuck around.
11. What timezone are dates set in?
Pacific Time. PST stands for Pacific Standard Time and PDT stands for Pacific Daylight Time.
12. What time of day do emails go out?
We don’t have a specific time that emails go out, but it’ll usually be between 9 am and 2 pm Pacific Time.
13. What parts of my information will be shared with others?
We will share your email address and tumblr handle with your partner, but nobody else. If you do not have a tumblr, then we will share your discord username.
14. I missed sign-ups. Can I still participate?
Unfortunately, no. We feel like we give a significant amount of time for people to sign-up. We’d be glad to have you next year, though!
Writer
1. When can I start writing?
You can start writing whenever you want! We suggest that you start before the second check-in on May 1st.
2. How much can I write?
The minimum word count is 4,000 words, but beyond that you have free rein.
3. What happens if my plot changes?
If this happens after you’ve submitted your fic concept and before preview day, send one of the mods a message and fill out the form again. If it happens after teams have been announced just talk to your partner about it.
4. The minimum word count for fics is 4k. How does that work for chaptered fics?
If your first chapter is more than 4k words, then post just that on your day of posting and finish posting after July 15th when all of the posting for the event is complete. If your first chapter is less than 4k words then post as many chapters as it takes for you to get across the 4k words mark on your posting date.
5. What if I don’t know what the word count for my fic will be?
Just give us an estimate. It doesn’t matter to the mods if this changes, just be sure to talk to your partner.
6. Can we co-write?
Yes! We have a place on the form for you to put the email and tumblr handle of your co-writer. If you have a co-writer, we only need one of you to fill out the check-ins but if both (or more) of you want to do it, you’re welcome! The artist for the cowriters still must fill out the check-ins as usual.
7. Can we write tropes/AUs that have been used in past COBB events?
Of course!
8. How will we send in our fic concepts?
We will send out an email to writers on February 1st with a link to a google form for you to fill out.
9. Can I write AUs, crossovers and the like as well?
Yep!
10. Do I need to include Snowbaz?
No. You can write whatever.
11. Are writers required to have a beta reader?
No.
12. Do I need to have an AO3 account?
You do not, but we recommend it.
Artist
1. What is Preview Day?
Preview Day is the day in which all fic concepts are posted on airtable and available for all artists to see. Claiming has not started yet so this gives artists time to see which fics they might be interested in making art for.
2. When can I start making art?
You can start making art when you know your team. We recommend also talking with your writer about your art.
3. Is there a limit to how much art I can make?
Nope!
Explicit Content
1. Do I need to be a certain age to make explicit content?
We ask that participants under 18 do not make any explicit content.
2. Can I make explicit art?
You can, but we ask that you send us a cropped version for the masterpost. On the masterpost, you may also add a link to the full piece of art.
Partner Problems
1. My partner isn’t being respectful. What should I do?
Tell the moderators and we will have a talk with them as well as possibly kick them out of the event.
2. What if my partner doesn’t respond?
Send the mods a message and we will try to contact them.
Claiming
1. How do I claim a fic?
We will send out an email to all artists on February 16th with a link to a google form where you will put your top three fic concepts.
2. Where will the fic concepts be posted for claiming?
On Airtable! We will send an email out to artists with a link on February 13th.
Dropping Out
1. What happens if I want to drop out?
You should communicate with your partner about dropping out and then send us an email at [email protected]
2. What happens if my partner drops out?
You will have to decide whether you want to keep going with your project or drop out as well. If you want to drop out, just tell us. If you’d like to keep going we will send out an email asking for someone to step in and work with you. We should have you a new partner within a week or two.
Check-ins
1. Who needs to fill out the check-ins?
Everyone on your team must fill out the check-ins, unless you have cowriters. More info on that can be found above in the writer section.
2. When must my response for check-ins be turned in by?
A week after they open. The first check-in must be turned in by March 18th. The second by May 7th. And the 3rd by June 19th.
3. How do check-ins work?
We will send an email out to all participants on the day of the check-in (March 11th, May 1st, and June 13th) with a link to the check-in. You will fill out the form answering how your progress is coming and if you need help with anything. It should take about 10 minutes to fill out each form.
4. What if I don’t have access to the internet when a check-in or posting happens?
If you know prior to the check-in that you won’t have internet access send one of the mods an email and we can give you the form early. If you do not know prior, then message us once you have access again and we’ll be understanding. If this happens during posting your partner can submit your masterpost. Make sure that both people have access to the fic and art!
5. Are check-ins mandatory?
Yes.
6. What if I’m late to turn in a response for a check-in?
Try not to be too late, especially since we’re giving you a week to submit them, but we’ll be understanding.
7. I’m working on two teams. What should I do for the check-ins?
You should fill out the form once for every team that you’re on. There’s also a place for notes on the form. Be sure to tell us which partner you’re working with for each submission.
Posting
1. When should I post my work?
Posting will take place between July 1st and July 15th. You will be assigned a day to post based on your preferences.
2. Where should I post my work?
You can post them wherever!
3. What will posting look like?
First, you and your partner will post your things where you would like. Then, one of you will compile a masterpost that you will submit to our tumblr and we will post it. An email will be sent out in late June with more information on this.
4. Will there be an AO3 collection to add my works to?
Yep! More information about that will come out in June.
5. Is there a certain time of day that our fic/art should be posted?
No but if you can do it before 11 pm PST on your assigned day that would be great.
6. How do I submit my masterpost?
On our blog, there is “Submit your masterpost”. Click on that and it will take you to the place you should put in the masterpost. Make sure to click “submit” at the bottom. The information for what a masterpost should look like will come out in June. If you want another example you can look at older submissions.
7. Why do our projects need to be done by the 3rd check-in?
We have this as a deadline because it means that there is extra time should you need it.
8. What do I do if I think my part of the project won’t be done by the posting date?
Talk to your partner about what you should do and then send a message to the mods, preferably before June 13th.

Note
So in Imperial Commando, Niner says that he hasn't spoken to Fi in nearly two years, and that bothered me a little. (Well, more than a little.) I just find it a little strange that we know that Skirata personally takes the time to check up on the hundred or so commandos he trained, yet he can't find time to arrange anything between Fi and Omega and make sure that Omega gets to check up on Fi. It also makes me wonder whether Omega ever asked to communicate with Fi directly (even just to record a message for him or something,) because it seems like they would so *what happened and why didn't they.* Basically I'm wondering how to square Omega being so tight-knit and caring about each other with the fact that they don't actually interact with Fi for almost two years once he's on Mandalore, and I find it difficult to believe that at no point during those two years did they have even 5 minutes to talk to him. My instinct here is to ask why Skirata might find it beneficial to keep Fi and Omega apart, and I can't tell if I'm unfairly on an anti-Skirata kick here, but maybe he sees their separation as something that will help establish Kyrimorut via Omega's dependence on him as the "keeper" of Fi? (I know this is very rambly and I apologize but I want your thoughts here!)
Hi! Again, you don't have to apologize for rambling. I'm not exactly free of sin myself here, and I don't mind, anyway.
So I was thinking about this, and I checked, and you're right that in IC Niner and Darman both comment that they haven't seen Fi in a couple years. Darman even goes one further and acts relieved that he's able to talk to Fi now, which sort of implies he wasn’t able to before:
Tumblr media
Which surprised me a bit, because I remembered this part in Order 66 (that I had to go back and find to make sure I wasn’t imagining things), where Darman mentions that Fi left them messages sometimes:
Tumblr media
Granted, leaving messages isn’t really the same thing as being able to talk. It’s still something. It’s less clear if they’re able to respond, but them receiving texts from a dead man apparently isn’t a security issue, so I feel like they must have a secure enough method of communication that they might be able to reply too, at least sometimes.
And I mean, at the very least, they should have been able to use Jusik as a messenger, since he’s noted to have been updating Omega on Fi’s condition this whole time, and they are able to talk to him.
It’s likely KT just forgot, and she sort of went off the rails with characterization continuity in IC anyway, but I agree with you that it’s strange if she shifted to the idea that Omega never got to talk to Fi. I mean, canonically it didn’t happen. They did have some form of communication as per the above. But it would be very strange.
But since it didn’t, and in order to square it with Darman and Niner’s comments in IC, I’d bet that communication coming from Fi has been exceptionally sparse and thin on substantial topics, and doesn’t feel emotionally satisfying. They’ve gotten updates, but they haven’t talked. If you only saw someone you love for barely ten minutes over a year ago and barely exchanged hellos, will you count that as “seeing” them within the last two years, or will you count the time instead based on the last time you saw them where you were also able to spend quality time with them? (Holy cow, that sentence.)
That’s the best explanation I could come up with, anyway.
As for the rest, I agree that it doesn’t really fit with Kal’s MO, either, except in the way that Kal tends to forget about people having relationships that don’t involve him. I don’t feel like he’d deliberately cut Fi off, not even in that way he does where he tells himself he has a good reason for it. He’s too proud of Omega as a concept. Rather, I think it’s more likely this is similar to the way he doesn’t ever really think about the Nulls talking to and missing each other in a way that doesn't involve him, so he probably just doesn’t even think about whether Omega are talking to each other or not. Not even in the vein of wondering how Fi’s doing. Not deliberately malicious, but just a consequence of his own self-centeredness. Being fair to him, though, while he is someone Fi respects and looks up to, and while his advice would carry a lot of weight with Fi, Skirata’s not actually responsible for Fi’s recovery. He’s not a medical professional, and unlike Parja he hasn’t tried to insert himself as a medical authority in Fi’s life regardless. If he’s keeping his nose out of it unless specifically requested, that’s not wrong of him (though a check-in probably wouldn’t really be amiss, I’m pretty sure it just literally has not occurred to him).
So I wouldn’t really place the blame for this at his feet. If I were to try to come up with an in-universe rationale for this, I’d probably say that it looks a lot like Fi’s self-isolating.
Whoever is helping him with his recovery should be encouraging him to reach out to people who care about him, but either they’re not, which isn’t great, or they are but Fi’s dodging the issue, which isn’t exactly something they can help. Lead a horse to water and all that, and they can’t make Fi utilize his support network. Unfortunately, I do think it’s very likely Fi would dodge communicating with Omega every chance he gets. He likes to pretend things that upset him aren’t happening, and with his own struggles with his self-worth, I can see him neglecting to communicate with his squad. It might make things too real for him, it might make him wonder why he’s “wasting their time”, and he might even be resentful of them sometimes. The rest of Omega isn’t in a situation to apply force to the situation either, not until Atin makes it to Mandalore (after which, we rarely see Fi anywhere without him, so).
This was interesting to think about. Let me know your thoughts?

["I don't want to study I want to be dead!" Me too szeth]
[Idk I feel like seadase was well smart in trying to get dalinar out of the way but at this point he could have just given up] like it's clear Dalinar isn't losing after the end of WoR
[Also I remember him being flatned by this but no he still the same Still disappointed about the lake of consciences to adolin's murder]

[I would love to see lift grabbing syl out of the air]
[God all radiant spren are useful. What would peak spren or mist spren do that is special]
[Lift can revive the dead even if other edge dancers can't]
[Lift is basically just Kaladin-like on a fundamental level they both care too much]
[I like seeing the consistency of harelds regaining their sanity when a radiant swears an oath]
[Oduim is the sun in shin faith right?]
oathbringer
[Impenetrable renarin lol I'm such a child]
[Young Shardless dalinar vs pre-bond Kaladin who wins]
[I am surprised you people don't mention how gloom spren should surround Kal instead of wind spren]
[I was born under the sign of the nine--- adolin hmmm]
["you see you only ruined the wrong ones" fuck shallan that is a good line smooth]
[While I hate how much shallan's split personalities distract the plot I do like how it started]
[I love how adolin gets distracted nerding out about sword fighting]
[Are all the iriali just one dragon split into an entire race]
[I love Dalinar's story about the takama belt]
[OK I have to admit I hate Kate reading's reading she exaggerates shallan so much it hurts (made during the vail chapter where she goes out drinking)]
[He even cracks his knuckles louder] this is a line from shallan about adolin and another man and you're surprised she ended up with him
[I know Brandon said he doesn't think radiant should be reincorporated but idk it feels right for shallan]
[Veil is such a noir detective]
[What happened to toh (Evi's brother)?] i think he went to the althie countryside
["When my father said good relationships need investment I don't think this is what he meant." Adolin on giving shallan some Stormlight good pun Brando]
[Bouncing to book 2 and book 4 stuff. El he is basically what eshonai describes the humans as no rhythm one from the carapace of steel]
[Relistning to the natan man lighthouse guy's part again is really nice can't wait to see what it means]
[Dalinar could use a good session of needing bread. This line from rock is interesting I would like to see if this is more than light for shadowing of his noahdon dream]
[What were the barbarians in Dalinar's vision the stoneward]
[They are their kings... I love to see a singer king/queen as fused]
[funny how by 4 moash is back to his old boss teravangian]
["Bridge 4 you bastards". This does not spark joy]
[The lady leading the flying fused was leshwie right]
[I love jasnah's little sanity rant]
[Maybe it's the crazy in me but I can't help but think we are missing something about Moash's past] like something about the Roshone affair meant to make him full evil Roshone was in the right or something like that
[Moash is just an evil Kaladin in Oathbringer]
[Hariel I want to see more of him]
[Oduim God of gods. Is he, is he really?]
[Hoid and Shallan's conversation in the private room of the inn is just weird if feels out of character] it just feels off
[Who is the man with tanalon?]
[I wish my sons won't kill thousands to avenge me... Me too dalinar]
[What/who is malishi]
[What did elhokar say to Lil gav]
[Does nightblood know something we don't like about "evil"] there is something to it maybe probably not
[Even though I and others might have not wanted navanie to become a bond Smith you can see in the chapter where she hosts the cololeion of monarchs that she is a bondsmith a forger rather than Dalinar's uniter] 100% agree she fits the role just wished we had her as something else
[Szeth son nutro remember using loopholes is dangerous... Hope so for Dalinar's sake]
[Ya no shaladin would not work they both would break]
[My husband wants unity not dominion sure nevanie]
[I love adolin's attempt to break it off with shallan]
dawnshard
[Why do the sleepless have weird names for people like navanie mother of machines]
["Lunammor the fal'ala'liki'nor he who drew the bow of hours at the dawn of the new millennium heralding years of change" "The ancient pact of the seven peaks" All of this is said by cord and now I'm hyped to read Lunammor if it's ever written to understand what any of that means]
["Soulcasters were offerings of the ancient guardians." So did Larkin make them?]
[It would take a bitter soul to hate you lopen. All the lopen haters just got called out I guess]
Rythem of war
[Why moash as in why is he, he who quits? Like why did rayse pick him? Is it just a test of what he wanted to do to dalinar? Why not give him the power of champion is it tied to the contest?] like you can reuse it on other people later
[Vasher anime parried Kaladin that's awesome and funny]
[Relain just explaining anti-light]
["The moons Will stop orbiting and the sun will come crashing down." Don't jinx it Shallan the sun is going to do something don't give it ideas]
[Not sure I like dalinar not wanting to abolish slavery]
[Syl is acting way to child-like around kal's parents maybe it kraimore portraile]
[OK I and many people aren't 100% on navanie being the second bondsimith but watching her with her engineers is too bondsimith to ignore]
[The brief for the lasting integrity mission makes it sound real simple]
["I'm more worried about him changing you" book 5 foreshadowing if we lose]
["thank you mother, thank you for my eyes" every time I pass this part I want to jump out of my seat and make a Reddit post about how stupid it is that no one as far as I've seen says that they enlightened variants are revived dead eyes]
[Did they think that Zou was cursed by adonalsium or some other Shard/dragon]
[I know alot of people are disappointed in adolin's lack of a clear personal victory making him a "man" and having the trial end with Maya's words but it's in line with adolin he doesn't want to be radiant least wants to find his own way into it]
[Kate reading makes pattern sound like little baby Boi but Michael Kramer makes him sound like a creepy glitch]
[man I love godeki's little speech about the almighty it is nice to see Honor can live again indeed my deer edgedancer]
[And now we get to parts I don't like so much about shallan's DID they all talk with each other and blab and argue idk I don't like that for a split personality]
[I just got to the scene with noral and Kal and that ardent and damn is it very Kaladin. I love it and ya it probably won't be a big focus for Kal in 5. But maybe we can see his ideas descend into a more. Complete form in the back 5]
[I love how all of the radiant spren of our main characters are famous except ivory as far as I know] then again the fool who left seems to be his reputation szeth's is probably normal and dull
[The way shallan integrates her lightweavers could be seen as her trying to help them with their oaths][Like genuinely shallan trying to interrogate byral just sounds like her trying to put the talented kid up into a more leadership level position]
[I love adolin's sword fights they are always much better action than the radiants probably because they are rarer]
[I do kind of hate the misdirected with pattern being shallan's childhood spren but it's sort of nessary] [Idk why people think lerin is unreasonable I find him to be very easy to understand]
["You act like it's as inevitable as the sun and strom" ya syl] i keep side-eying mentions of the sun
[I like Kal not thinking of himself or rather thinking of others first]
[Vyre he who quites he who halls rocks. Els probably dying at that]
[I love lifts Interlude though I'm not sure how to read some bits So about lift's boon is she stuck with the mind of a child? Did she get nothing but was ancered more to reality? Is she primed to become more cultivationy than cultivation? Is she the holder of the three shards?] lift's werid and idk what to think of her future
[I love nail's flash back it's just so interesting what was the kid about? It must have been either one of the first of the aimians the ones like axi or maybe a half singer half human]
["His closeness to my father" son of tanavast intensifies. Also that one name of the wind quote where Kvoth's dad asks his wife if she fucked a wandering God but with lirin and hassina]
[I don't like Kramer's portraile of wit this book it far too whimsical]
[Renarin's vision doesn't bode well for book 5 ]
[I really like ulim the little basterd]
[What does rabonial think the opposite of life light?]
[OK why does Kate reading go British during one of the flashbacks]
[What order do you think the mink would be? Dustbringer?]
[the stormfather'talk of connection seems a little suspicious after knowing he can lie]
[I feel the only way for the radiants to win in book 5 is for dalinar not to be the champion]
[This might be a hot take but I feel annoyed I don't see people shipping dalinar and teravangian as much as navanie and rabonel it feels wrong to ship one and not the other]
[Was the void spren around relain tuilm or what ever his spren is called]
[This whole shaping business is part of the ba ado mishram puzzle or rather the other way around anyway it goes down to that I think in the last desolation oduim was finally linked to roshar the same way honor and cultivation are and now to acsess shaping you need to be of all three and able to sing the rhythms]
[Lil gav would make a great sky breaker]
[Nail knowing ulim is interesting...]
[What the hell does hoid do to enter oduim's vision]
[Vneli is just what navanie thinks she is... Kind of sad]
[Who made the stormfather laugh? The boot maker]
[Is toduim's question about who hoid would choose the important part?]
