Fun facts about them:
- DragonFly and Cacao Nib are both traitors to their kingdoms
- their basically a cult dedicated to SM and The Beasts, they believe that the power of the ancients should be returned to their rightful users and that the beasts should be free.
- Dragonfly is their leader
- Nebula and SolarFlare were taken in by Dragonfly and are fully loyal to him and his cause, the same goes for Cacao Nib although his reason for joining is slightly different.
- Cacao Nib discovered in some VERY old texts that Dark Cacaos power is not his own, thinking that power should be returned Cacao Nib confronted the King about giving up his soul jam, however with Dark Cacaos stubbornness to not give up the power under his protection and Affogatos influence, he barely escaped the kingdom with his life.
- Dragonfly was once a Silver Knight of the Faerie Kingdom, however he had fallen under the influence of SM’s lies. After realising one of their own had been compromised, Elder Faerie had ordered for Dragonfly to be found, but he was long gone by the time they realised.
- they are ALL partly under the influence of SM but are all doing this out of free will, he is not the one making them do this, they are doing it completely on their own

Ube Cheesecake with a touch of orange extract, with a chocolate sugar cookie crust with cacao nibs.
I fucking love my husband.
A New York Jewish style cheesecake with a Filipino flair.
He does this all the time, literally mixing ingredients from all over the world and going "let's fuck around and find out" except it's not science because he never writes anything down and he measures by instinct and he rarely makes the same thing twice and trying to corral his cooking chaos is like herding hungry cats and

[ @ⁿᵉᶜʳᵒᵐᵃⁿᶜʸᵃⁿᵈᵗᵉⁿᵈʳⁱˡˢ ]
As Dark Cacao Cookie finishes up his day, he would find something left in his own room, someone managed to sneak in? How?
Regardless, there was something sitting on the table, two dragon’s beards along with some Choco nibs and flowers? That wasn’t all, there was also a note! Once he opened it up, everything finally made sense, Candy Eye Cookie was here.

Dark violet eyes gazed down at the confection so delicately made.  Whoever had done so had taken great care and time into crafting such a thing.  But who? As his eyes shifted from the treat, he spied a note nearby and picked up the parchment, reading over the beautifully scrawled words.  After gazing over the first few sentences, he saw that it had come from his dear friend Candy Eye Cookie.  A warm smile crossed his face at the thought of her consideration, and for a brief moment, he pondered to himself.  Questioned danced through his mind of this son she had.  Who was he? What was he like? Was he one of her people?  One of her creations? Skyline...What an interesting name.  Surely, she would bring this Skyline Cookie to see him sometime.  He’d have to ask her about him when they saw each other again. His eyecings shifted back to the gift in question, and soon he put things together in the confines of his mind.  This wasn’t just any confection, it was something to aid him in battle.  Something he should tuck away for a moment when he needed it the most. It was a gift with a purpose. Candy knew him far too well.

Recently, I've felt rather convicted about running on an empty stomach, so I thought I would find some kind of energy ball to have before I head out in the mornings. This recipe just happened to be the most recent one I'd saved in my relevant Pinterest board. I loved that it was crafted specifically for runners — it just felt meant to be!
I made roughly a quarter of this, skipping the cacao nibs as I just couldn't find any at Publix. For the mixed nuts, I used plain pre-chopped pecans and a couple of Brazil nuts.
I used a tablespoon to scoop and shape these, ending up with about 21 in total. Next time I think I'll definitely go for a 1.5 tablespoon cookie scoop to make them a bit bigger.
In terms of taste and texture, the flavor was great, though a bit chewy and perhaps a tad dry. I'm honestly glad I didn't add the cacao nibs, as I think they would have been even drier. I did have a rather dry taste in my mouth afterward throughout my whole run, but perhaps next time I'll just need to wash one of these down with a quick sip of water before I head out.
I am definitely willing to make these again to experiment with them a bit more, but I'm also not opposed to trying out other similar recipes. The peanut butter/honey/oat combo is always a total winner, but 60 balls is a lot, so I would definitely recommend fractionalizing this if you're wanting to try it out!

Could you suggest any kind of food for a dragon that eats crystals? (aside from rock candy)
sure!! ^-^ (btw, all served best in fanciest bowl/vessel you have)
as you said, there's always rock candy, but I think M&Ms (mixed), frozen grapes (mixed colours), imperial mints, im pretty sure you could dye butterscotch candy? anyways just generally every treat grandmas have gathering dust in their house, if you're not allergic then nuts, overbaked cookies, cacao nibs, really frozen mochi (I mean suuuuper frozen), there's this thing they sell at my local asian market that im not sure they sell anywhere else but it's like hard jelly that's flavoured inside more jelly that's also flavoured. idk how to make it but the hard jelly is actually really solid, sugar snap peas, REMEBR TO DRINK WATER BUT IF YOU WANT YOU CAN MAKE RIBINA/SUMMER FRUITS/JUICE WITH TAPIOCA PEARLS/BOBA IN, those marshmallow-covered-ceral treats but frozen
hope this helped! I couldn't think of much sorry

So, what is the Parf cast's favorite desserts?
this is gonna be long.
the age old question. i have never answered it here, but it is the question i get the most about my characters.
val- tiramisu. whenever i go to my favorite boba place, or to the bakery, they always have tiramisu, and my husband and i joke that val possesses my body at that moment. i, an entire adult, put on my best sopping wet dog face and let val's pitiful voice pass from my brain through my lips as i resist fingering up the bakery glass so the workers do not have to come clean up my pathetic fingerprints. "ough. tiramisu."
dash- lemon poundcake. it's the simple things. he's good at making it and good at eating it. he's good at many things. my daughter is very talented.
lupine- this guy is where we expect to get some like, super niche tea dessert from the wuyi mountains but we must remember. his new york italian boy swag makes him especially impartial to rainbow cookies, which i will include a picture of because i have heard people putside of ny don't know what these are???
Tumblr media
layers of almond-flavored dense little cakes in the colors of the italian flag sandwiched together with raspberry jam and covered in chocolate ganache before being cut into little squares. eat them. find an italian bakery near you and eat them. but make sure the ganache is soft and the cookies are moist. the dry ones will be underwhelming and you will want to cry.
saturday- she likes marshmallows and very light cakes. like angel food cakes.
luci- white rabbit candy and any white rabbit desserts like the little white rabbit ice cream tubs?? yeah. but hes, in general, a pre-packaged junk food guy. guy can appreciate a good chocolate bar from the drugstore. some nice reeses cups.
tiff- cake pops. the pinker the better. she is miss starbucks unicorn cake pop.
oberon- he talks about rock candy in act 1 but he's also a big fan of dark chocolate. like, highest cacao count (bonus if it has cacao nibs) bitter, waxy dark chocolate.
donna- she likes a good italian rum cake
Tumblr media
it was my grandmother's favorite and i am guilty of making my italian characters so italian. this whole sponge cake thing is soaked in rum syrup and topped with a little cherry. we would get these for my grandma from the italian bakery before she died and sometimes itd just be a plain sponge cake with whipped cream and a cherry and it would be SOPPING WET with rum.
toulouse- cream puffs. choux cream. give them to her give her one of those.... big ol tubs of frozen cream puffs. (do you guys get those or is that also just an italian thing...? the big plastic tubs of cream puffs?)
Tumblr media
it's got a handle and everything. you can take this shit out like a picnic basket.
kenny- i had to ask his voice actor this one because i was actually stumped. kenny and his voice have a spiritual connection. sometimes he knows kenny better than i do. this is what he said
Tumblr media
i think this is pretty accurate. i do think that he loves ice cream trucks, but he prefers chocolate to vanilla. still with cherry dip. eclairs are already kind of a household staple because of toulouse's love of frozen prepackaged cream filled desserts.
betty- fucking dirt cups

you drag her to a toddler's birthday party she'll clean you the fuck out of these

The Benefits of Using Natural Cocoa Powder in Your Baking
Tumblr media
Natural cocoa powder is an essential ingredient in countless baking recipes, offering a rich chocolate flavor that is both versatile and vibrant. Whether you're whipping up a batch of brownies or crafting a decadent chocolate cake, natural cocoa powder is your go-to ingredient for adding depth and complexity to your creations. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore the numerous benefits of using natural cocoa powder in your baking, ensuring you can make informed decisions in the kitchen.
What is Natural Cocoa Powder?
Natural cocoa powder is derived from cocoa beans, which are harvested from the cacao tree. After fermentation, drying, roasting, and shelling, the cocoa nibs are ground into cocoa mass. The fat, or cocoa butter, is then separated, and the remaining cocoa solids are ground into a fine powder. This process results in natural cocoa powder, which retains its natural acidity and delivers a bold, intense chocolate flavor.
Health Benefits of Natural Cocoa Powder
Antioxidant Rich
Natural cocoa powder is packed with powerful antioxidants known as flavonoids. These compounds help combat oxidative stress and inflammation, promoting overall health and reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Incorporating natural cocoa powder into your baking not only enhances flavor but also contributes to a healthier lifestyle.
Heart Health
The flavonoids present in natural cocoa powder have been linked to improved heart health. Studies indicate that regular consumption may help reduce blood pressure, improve blood flow, and lower cholesterol levels. By adding natural cocoa powder to your baked goods, you can enjoy delicious treats while supporting your cardiovascular health.
Mood Enhancement
Cocoa contains compounds such as serotonin and dopamine, which are known to enhance mood and promote feelings of well-being. Baking with natural cocoa powder can provide a delightful sensory experience, lifting your spirits and creating a sense of happiness and satisfaction.
Culinary Benefits of Natural Cocoa Powder
Enhanced Flavor Profile
Natural cocoa powder offers a robust, chocolaty taste that enhances the overall flavor profile of baked goods. Its intensity can transform ordinary recipes into extraordinary culinary delights. Whether you're baking cookies, cakes, or muffins, natural cocoa powder delivers a rich, deep chocolate flavor that is sure to impress.
Versatility in Recipes
One of the greatest advantages of natural cocoa powder is its versatility. It can be used in a wide range of recipes, from classic chocolate desserts to innovative creations. Natural cocoa powder pairs well with a variety of ingredients, allowing you to experiment and create unique flavor combinations that tantalize the taste buds.
Texture and Structure
Natural cocoa powder contributes to the texture and structure of baked goods. It adds moisture, tenderness, and stability, resulting in soft, fluffy cakes and brownies. Additionally, natural cocoa powder can act as a leavening agent when combined with baking soda, ensuring your baked goods rise perfectly every time.
Tips for Baking with Natural Cocoa Powder
Measuring and Sifting
Accurate measuring is crucial when using natural cocoa powder in your baking. Use a spoon to fill the measuring cup, then level it off with a knife for precise measurements. Additionally, sifting the cocoa powder before incorporating it into your recipe can prevent clumping and ensure even distribution.
Balancing Acidity
Natural cocoa powder retains its natural acidity, which may impact the overall flavor of your baked goods. To balance the acidity, consider adding a small amount of baking soda or increasing the sugar content in your recipe. This adjustment will complement the cocoa powder's flavor and result in a more harmonious taste.
Storing Properly
To maintain the freshness and quality of natural cocoa powder, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Exposure to air, moisture, and sunlight can lead to the loss of flavor and aroma. Proper storage ensures that your natural cocoa powder remains potent and ready to enhance your baked creations.
Conclusion
Incorporating natural cocoa powder into your baking repertoire offers a multitude of benefits, from enhanced flavor and texture to potential health advantages. By choosing high-quality natural cocoa powder from a trusted source like Scocoa, you can elevate your baked goods to new heights. Embrace the rich, chocolaty goodness of natural cocoa powder and create delectable treats that delight the senses.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What is the difference between natural cocoa powder and Dutch-processed cocoa powder?
Natural cocoa powder is made from cocoa beans that are roasted and ground into a powder, retaining their natural acidity. Dutch-processed cocoa powder, on the other hand, is treated with an alkaline solution to neutralize its acidity, resulting in a milder flavor. Natural cocoa powder is recommended for recipes that require a more intense chocolate taste.
2. Can I substitute natural cocoa powder for unsweetened chocolate in recipes?
Yes, you can substitute natural cocoa powder for unsweetened chocolate in recipes. To replace one ounce of unsweetened chocolate, use three tablespoons of natural cocoa powder and one tablespoon of butter or oil. This substitution ensures a similar chocolate flavor and texture.
3. Is natural cocoa powder gluten-free?
Yes, natural cocoa powder is gluten-free. It is made solely from cocoa beans and does not contain any gluten-containing ingredients. However, it is important to check the packaging for any potential cross-contamination if you have a gluten sensitivity or allergy.
4. How can I enhance the flavor of natural cocoa powder in my recipes?
To enhance the flavor of natural cocoa powder, consider adding a pinch of salt, a splash of vanilla extract, or a hint of espresso powder. These additions complement the cocoa flavor and add depth to your baked goods.
5. Can I use natural cocoa powder in savory recipes?
While natural cocoa powder is most commonly used in sweet recipes, it can also add a unique depth of flavor to savory dishes. Consider incorporating it into chili, mole sauces, or spice rubs for meats to create a rich, complex taste.
