My headcanon:

The Princess Andromeda definitely has WiFi on board and Luke gave the demigods access to all sorts of modern technology, which is how they attracted so may monsters in so little time.

LMAO YES. The Princess Andromeda was a cruise ship, so it's reasonable to assume they have stuff like arcades and free wifi on there. Just imagine Luke, newly run-away, recruiting Demigods and just.....smiling indulgently as the demigods go wild exploring the internet and technology. He's been busy as ever these past few days and stressed to high hell trying to remain in the image of a "steadfast leader", but Luke can't help but smile and be soft when little Alabaster jumps at him all excited about finally getting to try out Minecraft.

Alice had sent a letter to Andromeda to meet for tea and to invite her and Ted and their beautiful daughter to Frank's surprise party the following week. She hoped that they would be able to make it, she knew that like her schedule as an auror the one of her friend was a busy one. "It's been a while since we have seen each other, tell me, how have you been? How is Nymphadora?" Alice adored children and she and Frank had discussed it many times, but they had agreed that it wouldn't be safe now. That they should wait until after the war. Still, she loved babysitting Nymphadora and Oliver.

There were times where Alecto took on more than she should have, not that she would admit it, sending herself alone into a mission that perhaps she should have taken another. This one was simple, her charming ways would guarantee her a quick retrieval. What she wasn't expected was Order members to come in mid-way through her collection.

She was dressed in her death eater robes and mask, the trinket requested in her pocket, but it left a dual with that took more out of her than she was prepared for, still recovering from what her and Rabastan went through. Curses and hexes exchanged, counter-spells were made, but one she had taken that wasn't realised until she was home.

A rash began to spread up her arm, a curse she was sure, and after a few attempts to clear it herself, to no avail, the witch was making her way to St. Mungo's Hospital. Reality, she could have gone to Rabastan, but explaining that she went alone, without him, she was certain he would have an earful for her.

She had requested a certain nurse, certain she was working, waiting in the triage for Miray to show up, when her name was called, the voice sending a shiver down her spine. Cold hazel hues glanced to the witch that she once called her close friend and she snorted.

"Not happening, where is Nurse Sewlyn?" That was who she was going to see, pulling her robe down further on her arm.

Having gone out to buy some necessary items for a potion recipe he intended to try out that evening, the last thing Evan had thought of was running into a familiar face, if you could still call it that. Andromeda wasn't tecnically family anymore, she was a traitor and unworthy of his acknowledgement, but he couldn't just let her pass by his side and do nothing about it. "Well, if it isn't my least favorite used to be cousin."

Despite working so close to Diagon Alley, Raffaella found herself avoiding it most days. On occasion, she'd go shop, maybe grab something to eat—they had much better food than Knockturn Alley, frankly—but she would never stay long. Her reticence to be in the area was similar to the way people acted in her own workplace. Still, she was comfortable there in a way most wouldn't understand. It was different for her family. So when her mother had scolded her yesterday afternoon for nbeing late at picking up her new dress robes, she found it difficult to hold her tongue.

Yet here she was, opening the door to Madam Malkin's with all the eagerness of an elderly house elf. It wasn't exactly the right time of year for Hogwarts students to be having their fittings, at least, so she had that on her side. The last thing she needed was a bratty second year Ravenclaw stepping on her toes while he figured out how to put the bloody thing on. No, of course she wasn't speaking from experience.

However, her luck had clearly run dry. While there were no acne prone prepubescents in her sight, Andromeda Black—no, Tonks, she mentally corrected with a wince—stood only a few feet away. Though she hadn't seen her in years, Raffaella and Andi had been close once upon a time. The betrayal she felt likely didn't touch the sting her poor sisters had to carry around, but it did still bother her every once and a while. The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black sullied with a Mudblood. Her old friend didn't deserve such a fate, even if she'd been the one to strike it into stone. Taking a handful of steps forward, she was near the other woman's elbow. "Andromeda," she greeted, unsure if she'd be able to grin and bear it. "Long time, no see."

You said some time ago that Mass Effect: Andromeda doesn't interest you. Did you start it or was that from research? If you could bring yourself to play it, your thoughts on the games exploration of colonialism would be welcome.

This is gonna sound weird but... I adore the trilogy SO MUCH you know?

To the point where it can be difficult to appreciate Dragon Age because it is juuuuust similar enough to remind me of Mass Effect without BEING Mass Effect. So a lot of playing Dragon Age, especially Inquisition, is me thinking at all times "GOD I wish my Mass Effect friends were here with me ;___;"

And I can only see Andromeda being the same at the very best of outcomes. At worst I just severely dislike the game. At best, I think it's a fun game but I will be missing the found family squad literally the entire time and just wish Garrus, Tali, Liara, Wrex etc et al were with me.

And the reason I believe this will be the case is because of one tiny, singular moment in Angry Joe's original review of the game where he did not like it, mostly due to the state it was in. This one moment did not actually have anything to do with his critique or his criticism or why he disliked the game. It was just a small clip sitting among the entire review when he was just discussing how bad the dialogue was in the game and he just mentioned it in the middle of his critique.

But although I could overlook all of this criticisms as things that might not apply to me, this one singular moment made me realise Andromeda would not be for me.

please note this does NOT MEAN I WANT SHEPARD IN ANOTHER GAME PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET HER REST. But it means Andromeda just.... doesn't measure up. And in the immortal words of Vanilla Ice "anything less than the best is a felony." when it comes to Mass Effect. The trilogy casts a LONG shadow...

Alice hadn't been feeling her best for the last few days and she made a promise to Andromeda that if it would persist she would stop by St. Mungos and get herself checked out. At first she thought she was coming down with a fever, but the constant nausea and then the one am craving for hot chocolate that she couldn't drink all pointed in one direction. She couldn't actually be pregnant, could she? Frank and her talked about having kids before, but they had planned on waiting until the war was over, until it was safe. Not wanting to worry him she came to the hospital in her lunch break. Hopefully she was just overreacting and reading into signs that weren't there. "Hi. Do you have a moment for that check up we talked about?"
