I hate the takes that try to amount to Luke being less "humane", "kind" or "loving" towards other demigods than Percy ngl. Because they all just completly negelect the fact that the main motivation Luke had for what he did, the reason he stated at the very beginning for his acts, is an ultimatly altruistic love for demigod kind.

Now did the guy do some fucked shit? Deffos. But that doesn't change that first and foremost, his goal was a "Golden Age for Demigods." Not glory and power for himself, but prosperity for everyone.

Hell we can see even before his turn to Kronos how kind he was! I mean, he pretty much immideatly took in Annabeth as we can see in the Diary of Luke Castellan. And he must have earned himself the reputation he had in camp pre-betrayal somehow, and considering how he only joined Kronos shortly before kicking off Zeus' Master Bolt that must have come from his genuine personality.

Like....I think it's just so tragic that Luke's own humanity is ripped from him time and time again.

I'd insert something clever here, but I just needed an excuse to flaunt new art design and artist to feed my Castis x OC/Duchii delulu. And perhaps to inspire me to actually fkn write more of it.

Context:

As much as I love this old man, I'm very into his prime days at C-SEC or a little past his prime with just a few years under his belt before retirement. Yes, that grey area of deliciousness, thank you very much.

It had been his wandering feet, not once thinking thinking this would be the place he'd end up in, unplanned but in a rush of impulse, he allowed things to unravel however they should. The mudblood she called a husband had left, and only then did Evan dare knock on the door, not quite sure what he'd say when she opened up. Perhaps he was seeking for answers, questions he could not ask the one he needed to. Perhaps it was the sudden news of Regulus missing, prompting him to search even in the unlikeliest of places. Still, when the door swung open and Andromeda came before his eyes, the wizard could not help but scoff softly. "I'd like to come inside, just need a quick chat, promise to behave and all that."

Alice had sent a letter to Andromeda to meet for tea and to invite her and Ted and their beautiful daughter to Frank's surprise party the following week. She hoped that they would be able to make it, she knew that like her schedule as an auror the one of her friend was a busy one. "It's been a while since we have seen each other, tell me, how have you been? How is Nymphadora?" Alice adored children and she and Frank had discussed it many times, but they had agreed that it wouldn't be safe now. That they should wait until after the war. Still, she loved babysitting Nymphadora and Oliver.

There were times where Alecto took on more than she should have, not that she would admit it, sending herself alone into a mission that perhaps she should have taken another. This one was simple, her charming ways would guarantee her a quick retrieval. What she wasn't expected was Order members to come in mid-way through her collection.

She was dressed in her death eater robes and mask, the trinket requested in her pocket, but it left a dual with that took more out of her than she was prepared for, still recovering from what her and Rabastan went through. Curses and hexes exchanged, counter-spells were made, but one she had taken that wasn't realised until she was home.

A rash began to spread up her arm, a curse she was sure, and after a few attempts to clear it herself, to no avail, the witch was making her way to St. Mungo's Hospital. Reality, she could have gone to Rabastan, but explaining that she went alone, without him, she was certain he would have an earful for her.

She had requested a certain nurse, certain she was working, waiting in the triage for Miray to show up, when her name was called, the voice sending a shiver down her spine. Cold hazel hues glanced to the witch that she once called her close friend and she snorted.

"Not happening, where is Nurse Sewlyn?" That was who she was going to see, pulling her robe down further on her arm.

Fact: Demigods + Technology = monsters are drawn to them

Fact: Luke was actively recruiting demigods and monsters in the leadup to SoM

My headcanon:

The Princess Andromeda definitely has WiFi on board and Luke gave the demigods access to all sorts of modern technology, which is how they attracted so may monsters in so little time.

LMAO YES. The Princess Andromeda was a cruise ship, so it's reasonable to assume they have stuff like arcades and free wifi on there. Just imagine Luke, newly run-away, recruiting Demigods and just.....smiling indulgently as the demigods go wild exploring the internet and technology. He's been busy as ever these past few days and stressed to high hell trying to remain in the image of a "steadfast leader", but Luke can't help but smile and be soft when little Alabaster jumps at him all excited about finally getting to try out Minecraft.
