On your post about Din Djarin accidentally bringing one of the past Mand'alore and it being Jango Fett.

I have been thinking about this constantly for years now since they did the teaser for the Mandalorian and it has constantly disappointed me that there is no ounce of Jango Fett in it (though I highly appreciate the fact that Boba Fett was there and is now in disarray because Season 3 ended with Boba not being in it), please tell us more of your thoughts! I've been itching to also write about this with my undying love for the Fetts for over decades over.

It was a thought I was thinking about the other night about the different ways the Darksaber could be haunted as a result of all the power and belief that's put into it by centuries of Mandalorians using it as one of the symbols for a leader. One of the ways was just having the ability for it to bring one of the past Mand'alor to the current present (whenever that may be) and just having whoever is holding the Darksaber deal with it. Force Shenanigans and all that.

Which is why I think Jango would be a good option for a fic based around that idea due to his involvement with the Clone Wars/history with the Jedi on Galidraan and how he would be perceived by a lot of people including Boba after three decades of being dead. (I would also kill for the Darksaber bringing back Maul just for the hilarity and how people who try to kill him on sight after a brief period of like 7 years being dead lol.) I don't have much beyond that since it was me pondering on an idea late in the night, but if I were allowed to work on it with a bit more focus, I would do something where Jango would have to confront what happened to Boba after dying when he did and how much misery was caused as a result. Not all of it his fault, but certainly a catalyst for a lot of it.

I also wouldn't be opposed to doing an adventure that involved a lot of shenanigans that has Din and Jango grow close together since I'm a sucker for Din/Jango when an idea strikes me.

milk: I might be judged for this, but I love milk. 2% milk is so good I'm sorry 😭 I don't usually drink it just by itself but I will admit that sometimes I might crave just a glass of milk 😭😭😭

alcohol: I've never had alcohol and I don't plan on having any anytime soon. However, I went through a period in December/January where I watched The Big Lebowksi approximately 50 times (what a time that was) so I feel like now I need to at least *try* a White Russian at some point in my life.

warm drink: Tea! I love tea. I have black tea every morning but I like herbal or fruit teas too. If I'm at a coffee shop I'll order chai.

Ahh yay! :D It’s great to see another Jango Fett enjoyer!! I really liked him as a kid too, but I only realized what a cool character he is a little over a year ago when I got back into Star Wars and finally read his legends backstory. (On that note BLESS Filoni and the people working on the mandalorian for re-canonizing Jango being a real mandalorian and also making Jaster canon <3)

He’s such an underrated character tbh, he deserves more attention and love from mandalorian enjoyers 🥺… And if no one else is going to do it I will absolutely do it myself!!! >:D you have enabled me to draw him more now, so you can definitely expect some more Jango art from me haha 💙

That while I do feel bad for effectively holding what I think is the last installment hostage for an unknown amount of time due to the break I'm taking, I just *can't* keep putting off the break any longer. I want to say this is not specific to Plo Koon because it's insignia for the Council, but then again you also have the Blade of Dorin painted in that way. All other interceptors are painted differently, so I do associate that with Plo at most because Windu doesn't wear it either.

So after following you for quite a while and interaction over your love for Maul. I checked a few tags and did some "research" and I can see why y'all think he's such a precious baby who could do no wrong. But like, I also want to know what drew you to Maul?

The year is 2020, I’ve trapped at home for the first few months of that year due to the pandemic and I’m digging deeper into SW content bc my brain is focused on it after having seeing the first season of the Mandalorian and wanted to know more. This is including a rewatch of The Clone Wars show bc I wanted context for when the 7th season was put out and during this rewatch, I discovered my love for Maul.

I knew who he was before this point, but that was in the context of the Phantom Menace and what vague memories I had of TCW show when I was watching a few years prior. But this time when watching his batch of episodes is season four, I was curious about him. Bc he was not like other Sith characters i had seen up to that point with SW and I did love his design in TCW show. Just enough to see if there was any content besides TCW show that I could dig into. And me being me, I found comics, books and even other appearances including the Rebels show where he’s featured prominently that I could consume and examine his character through all of it.

That’s basically where it started and the further I dug, the more I began to love his character bc it was such a fascinating study of how conditioning and effects of abuse follows a person even after they escape their abuser. That Maul was stuck in this cycle of failure to do/be anything beyond what he knew to be safe even if it caused him more misery to the point he seeked out Obi-Wan to end him in his last appearance of Rebels bc he genuinely couldn’t exist in any other way after so long. Which resonated with me for personal reasons related to my trauma that I have.

Maul is a terrible person, absolutely, but also he just has this incredible sadness and tragedy to him bc he could have been better, should have been better after getting away from Palpatine. But he couldn’t and it never leaves my mind when I’m thinking about him.
