i beg the question cuz i wanna get my life right do some real work and i really don't want to kill any white folk i mean     can we talk abt this maybe it's just my red diaper that's itchin but i still got that will to uplift the race sans bootstraps or talented tenths or paper bag tests this time we uplift the human race and i know the rainbow might be but is poetry enuf?

it's a naive question but i'm old enuf to ask them once in a while if we do finally unload the canon clean it out stock up on some more colorful balls ain't we only gettin the ones that are available at a store near you? doesn't the market end up setting the new standards anyway? is poetry enuf if it ain't sellin? if ain't nobody readin it? can poetry keep a man     who can't read from droppin his kids out a window?

and how can i call a ceasefire to this cool war in stanzas of eights when we've declared poetry a no fly zone? we have learned to protect it and its potential politics like a mother shoot down anyone who might overdetermine a poem's meaning (while we poets divebomb everyone else's politics with impunity like we're the United States or something)

if poetry is just poetry we save it from the conservatives but doesn't that mean it's of no use to the progressives?

is poetry enuf? cuz that's all i'm doin. makin up stories    on stage     on the page keepin the beat and that's all my friends are doin and that's what a lot of folks my age are doin

but if we've gone and burnt up everything in the sky if there's nothin else to eat but landfill stroganoff if we've gotta live underground and everybody's got cancer will poetry be enuf?

my aunt angela says i can do my thang and keep swinging left hooks to oppression if i stay up stay into it stay involved just one form of praxis will do. it's just my guilt that thinks i need twenty-two what's enuf?

shouldn't i (or somebody) be our secular bodhisattva become a real power player but skip the talk show can't we stabilize, rekindle collectives and cooperatives and collaborations therapeutic communities that double as creative juggernauts a publishing house     a theatre where the plays cost less than the movies get the neighborhood coven back together take dance breaks in the cubicles sing until the flourescent lights burst into snow i ask you because you changed me zake you changed thousands of women and i know poetry can't be enuf if you drunk

How Did the Early Church Worship?

Most Christians don’t care to study Christian history and historical theology surrounding worship because they “feel” it takes away certain things they like in their church services. Are you interested in the historic Christian faith and its view on worship? God is to be worshiped according to His commands. God alone determines the manner in which sinners are to approach Him; and it is only accomplished through Jesus Christ, in the power of the Spirit, according to His word.

The early church worshipped in a specific manner according to God’s word. Christ and his commands are the rule by which Christians gather together for worship. We call this the Regulative Principle of Worship.

Data Log: Aftermath of the Siege.

This is my message back to the Trenya family… my family.

Hey everyone! We’ve made it through the night!… Just beaten up…yet we may have lost some because of… I honestly don’t know what to call it, a inheritance? Durai and Ozul are finally defeated but a cost was made. Kane and Mira have inherit their old leaders’ dark magic and now both Cobalt and Mira are the new leaders of Cipher.

But before that, I found out who killed Uncle Cornelius… and Uncle C left a message for me, dad, granny, and Lamont. I and Lamont got our message from the beyond…now it’s dad’s and granny’s turn…this is what Hana wrote down after she finished dealing with Veda. The man who took a son, a brother, a Ranger… my uncle.

From Cornelius: “Tell Mah and Baron I’m okay, they’ve done the greatest job in looking out and caring for Aries and everyone. Baron became a good dad, even when I wasn’t there with him I will always look out for my little bro. And Mah…

Tell Mah that she, and Pah did a great job for calling into action when Cipher came back, but Mah didn’t have to go beyond scaring my old boss!… But as a retired Pokémon Ranger…she wanted to make sure no other families lose their loved ones…like how they lost me. But I’m never gone, I am always there with them all. I thank them all for giving me a great life, and honestly, I would do it again to make sure they’ll be okay as well…but they are okay. Especially Aries, because she met you all.”

I’m… still in awe. He told me that I need to take things easy…honestly, he is right. And he told Lamont to not hold the burden of being forced to kill him… yet uncle C is at Peace thanks to Hana… and so am I, especially Lamont. I’ve never seen Lamont look so…free. Shackled down with a burden which was never his, and a sense in wanting to get out…the man is now a free bird… There is something I didn’t mention…remember I said that I felt like I disappointed Uncle C?… I’m…also glad he told me he will never be disappointed in me…he knew my choices were going to be tough like what you all believed…I’m happy in knowing you all and Uncle C proved me wrong if I tried.

Oh boy…now back to the new leaders… Kane and Mira…

The two ran a bloodbath in draining energy and life away from People and Pokémon. I’m not sure if anyone has…ya know… I was sadly down for a while until I woke up and noticed Leafie and Wes were missing, I got up in time to see Lamont informing Calvin that I couldn’t fight… I will admit, my leg was still beaten up and still is. Luckily I’m still able to walk and run with it thankfully… but there is more.

Leafie decided to fight off Mira and Cobalt while they had a Scrafty to drain. She fought bravely, and she’s okay now…just ill at the moment…I’ll get to why… Mira transformed fully into a vampiric dragon as she tried to garb Calvin, but Leafie protected him… and got a nasty bite from Mira. Thanks to whatever was happening to Mira she now holds the Ichor as her Venom of sorts and… Oh Stars above us all… I am going to hunt that demoness down… she used her new venom on Leafie and used her to attack me. Thankfully the Ichor antidote works… but as I am writing this down, Leafie is curled up in a fluffy nest to rest, poor girl is sick as the medicine works through while bandaged all up…

So what happens now?… Unfortunately, the battle with Cipher continues. Team Plasma may have their victory, I however still feel defeated. Kane and Mira escaped, and I can feel the outside air shifting to a colder winter… This winter feels heavy to me, and I believe I know why. Granny, call in every Pokémon Rangers you can to help out Unova, Cipher needs to leave and now. The land is now a hunting ground for the two new Vampires. I can’t fight for a week, so I need some people to be my eyes and ears.

I’m sorry if I’m asking too much, but I’m not letting Cipher continue… WE are not letting Cipher continue. I’m no longer alone in this… if you wish to call me, I am open now…for a week… OK, I love you all. Once I’m feeling better, I will put on the new get up y’all made for me. Bye-byes!

My own thoughts on this:

Stitch, of course, does treat Hobbes as a real, actual tiger and any time they’re alone we see them interact just as Calvin and Hobbes do. However, every other L&S character still sees Hobbes as a stuffed tiger just as the other characters in C&H do.

Jumbo notices Stitch’s reactions to Hobbes, however, and becomes a bit obsessed, himself on getting his hands on that tiger to see what his experiment’s enhanced senses might be picking up that he can’t.

Despite—or possibly because of—Calvin’s obnoxious overactive imagination and lack of impulse control, by the end of their battle across the island of Kaua’i Lilo has developed baby’s first crush and lets him know it with a big, sloppy smooch on the cheek. Calvin is horrified and spends the rest of his vacation suddenly role reversed as he tries to evade Lilo.

Calvin's parents decide to take a Hawai'ian vacation. They're not sure how much of it their son will tolerate but they would like to do at least a few things that involve sandy beaches and scenic cycling routes. They are therefore pleased when Calvin seems to make friends with a local girl about his own age and the two of them run off to play

Now, from Calvin's point of view what has happened is that he spotted actual aliens, and starts trying to bring this to the attention if the adults. But the tourists are like, "that's nice, go shoot 'em with your water gun, have a good time," and the locals are like, "yeah, they're an older couple who decided to retire here. Happens all the time." Eventually, it becomes clear that Spaceman Spiff is going to have to handle it himself.

From Lilo's point of view, Jumba and Pleakley are her gay uncles, do you mind? Calvin does mind, and so the two of them spend the rest of the afternoon terrorizing Kaua'i in the effort to destroy one another while the aliens alternate between bailing them out of trouble and attempting to escape.

Hobbes and Stitch, meanwhile, are calmly playing checkers and drinking non-alcoholic margaritas.

eve and calvin go to the amusement park

“quick, give me a kiss.”

eve began to slap calvin's arm. she squealed in delight as her number one otp had their scene. “this is it! i will marry anyone who does that to me.”

“are you insinuating something?”

she laughed and then gave him her most innocent looking smile. “i’m not, don’t worry, my munchkin.” she kissed his cheek. “but some advice, do it when necessary, and do it soon.”

calvin rolled his eyes and brought eve closer to him. “alright, alright. let’s continue the movie then.”

eve snuggled close to him and laid her head on his chest. she absolutely loved inception and it was her first time watching it with him—actually, it was her first time watching it in a long time, and she was glad it was with calvin.

a few days later, the two were going on a date. they chose the amusement park as eve really wanted to ride the boats.

“did you bring any change of clothes?” he asked her.

“no,” she answered. “but i guess we can find a place to settle down first. dry out the clothes.”

“we’ll also need to shower.” he looked around. “there’s a hotel over there, guess we can stay a few hours.”

eve’s heart began to beat fast. she was used to being alone with calvin, but in a hotel with him? that’s something very new to her.

“yeah, oki.”

they walked around the park, taking turns on each ride, calvin playing basketball and winning the biggest stuffed dog that was there, and of course, he gave it to eve.  eve tried her luck at archery, she had three tries and the third hit the bullseye. she only got a tiny prize, it was also a stuffed dog.

“i hope you take care of it,” she said, handing the toy to him.

when it was in his hands, he smiled. “with utmost care.”

finally, it was time to ride the rapid boats. eve and calvin put their stuffed toys in the “baggage counter” and fell in the queue.

when it was their turn, they excitedly got on their boat and let themselves feel the adrenaline rush. they saw the falls ahead and eve intertwined her fingers with calvin’s.

their boat rushed down and they screamed and laughed at the situation they were in. there were more falls and waves and they continued to savor the joy they were feeling.

when they were done, they stepped out of the boat and back to the baggage counter for their toys. luckily, they were not too wet but it was enough for them to need to shower.

“hotel?” calvin suggested.

all eve could do was nod.

they reached the lobby of the building and eve sat on a marble bench. calvin had instructed her to wait as he checked in. eve began to fidget at the thought of being alone with him in a hotel.

she saw calvin approach and she smiled, hoping he didn’t see how nervous she was.

he sat down with a sigh. “alright, shall we go?”

eve was just about to agree when she noticed people staring at them. “why’s everyone looking at us? or you? probably you.”

“hm?” calvin raised his eyebrows. “oh, nah. probably ‘cause we’re wet.”

“yeah, probably.” she nodded.

“quick, give me a kiss,” he said.

she found it odd but she did so anyway, she liked kissing him, she enjoyed it.

before they separated, his lips hovered over hers and he said softly, “i love you.”

“i love you, too,” she replied just as softly.

when they did separate, she looked around and said, “they’re still looking at us.”

“yeah, it was worth a shot. we should probably get out of here.” he stood up and grabbed her hand.

she nodded and followed him.

“gonna marry me now?”

then it hit her. “oh.” ‘i’m gonna give you children.’

My Mate - Chapter 20 - Part 1

Flinching as the buzzing needle made contact with his skin, I gripped his hand tightly, wincing as if his pain was my own.

I couldn't help but to glare at the man directing the gun.

Robert chuckled, gaining my attention.

"It's okay, it'll be over soon," I assured him, returning to glare at the tattooist hurting my Mate.

"Tory, do you see how many tattoos I have? I think I'm use to getting them by now. It doesn't even hurt."

I pouted, still not trusting the male with the tattoo gun.

Robert was just too prideful to admit that it hurt.

It's okay though, I'm holding onto his hand.

We were suppose to be making arrangements for our ceremony with our moms but Robert wanted to come get a tattoo and I found it hard being away from him.

Even if he was annoying most of the time.

"Are you getting one next?" the tattooist asked.

I sputtered, missing the teasing smirk on his face.

"Of course not."

I wasn't going to admit that I was scared of the pain... and my mom.

"I'm here for emotional support."

The two older males laughed.

Ignoring them, I wondered how long this will take.

I have a dream ceremony to plan in a very short amount of time.

It has to be perfect, I can't accept anything less.

Getting up from beside Robert, I paced around the small room and looked over the pictures of tattoos on the wall.

Over the week, Robert and I have spent every moment we could together... getting to know each other as more than my brother's annoying best friend and his best friends little brother.

There was a lot to learn, especially when we haven't really been around each other in five years.

Robert remembers me as a tiny thirteen year old and I remember him as the pack bad boy always getting up to no good.

It was around that time he found out I was gay.

He was the first to, even though it wasn't much of a surprise to anyone.

At the time my bedroom was right beside Calvin's and Robert had been over like he usually was.

I spent most of my time alone and had thought my brother and Robert had gone downstairs.

To say the least, it was embarrassing to have my brother's best friend walk in on me kissing a picture in my yearbook.

That was also how he figured out I had a crush on Jasper.

I couldn't have made it anymore obvious with the big red heart I'd drawn around his picture.

He kept my secret though, even if he teased me about it.

It wasn't long after that when I accidentally came out in front of my parents, telling Mom I would never get a boyfriend with my new haircut.

They didn't even say anything, like they already knew.

I sat back down beside Robert, grabbing his hand again.

Whatever he was getting wasn't big.

There wasn't much blank space anywhere on his arms.

"Alright," the tattooist said, wiping ink off Robert's arm with a paper towel.

Leaning over curiously, I observed the tattoo in shock.

"Really, Robert?" I huffed.

"We wasted precious time so you could get Pooh-Bear tattooed on you?"

Glaring at the Alpha male, his smirk only further annoyed me.

"What? It's what I wanted."

I smacked the back of his head, standing up and walking out of the building.

I forgot to get the keys from him, so I had to stand beside the car and pout.

It wasn't long before he came out, still smirking and plastic wrapped around his wrist.

As if taunting me, he spun the car keys around his finger and took his time walking to the car.

My eye twitched from the contained anger.

"Wipe that frown off your cute face," Robby said, finally getting to the car.

My face warmed from being called cute, momentarily forgetting why I was upset.

He unlocked the doors and I got into the car.

I guess I was a little mean.

He can get what he wants, even if his choices are stupid and immature.

Leaning over, I kissed his cheek quickly before buckling up.

Robert chuckled and started up the car.

On the ride to the pack house, I was basically bouncing with excitement.

I have so many ideas for my ceremony.

I've been day dreaming about it since I was ten.

It's going to be huge, just like I always wanted.

Everyone in the pack will be expected to be there because Robert will be their Alpha.

When we pulled up, I didn't even wait for Robby to turn the car off.

I grabbed my backpack from the backseat and ran inside.

Following Mom's scent, I found her in a sitting room with the Luna.

I squealed excitedly and sat down on the couch across from them.

Mom looked at me weirdly.

We waited for Robby before I pulled out the thick scrapbook from my backpack.

"Oh my," Luna said.

I smiled, handing it over to her.

I've been adding things to it for years.

It's my dream ceremony.

"What the hell?" Robby said from beside me.

"You're insane if you think that's all going to be put together in a week."

"But..."

"Robby, it looks like your suit will be a soft pink," Luna said, flipping through my book.

"Bullshit," he scoffed.

"Language," Luna warned, glancing at him shortly.

"This is my mating ceremony, I only get one," I argued.

"We were thinking something small that could be arranged quickly," Luna said.

"Yeah, I say we just go to the courthouse," Robby stated.

"My pup's not having a ceremony without a high priestess," Mom spoke up, eyeing the Alpha male.

She was still upset with him for feeling me up in front of half the pack.

He wasn't making it any better.

"That's understandable," Luna said to mom.

"We just don't have the time for anything big. Robert's inauguration will be the week after."

"But this is my mating ceremony," I said lowly.

I didn't want to have to rush through my own ceremony.

"It can still be lovely. A small affair in the back yard," Luna said, sitting my book on the coffee table.

She wasn't even going to continue looking through it?

"We can go shopping tomorrow for a few things."

"We can still do the courthouse thing, with a high priestess," Robert said, the last bit directed to my Mom.

"I though everyone had to come to the future Alpha's ceremony."

Crossing my arms, my eyes narrowed slightly.

"There's no point calling everyone here if they're going to have to come all over again the next week."

I didn't say anything and instead sat back against the couch.

The Luna and Mom talked some, making plans for my ceremony.

When they left, I grabbed my book overflowing with ideas and things I wanted.

"It's just a Mating ceremony," Robert said, as if it was some insignificant thing.

"Yeah, well, you're inauguration is nothing important either," I snapped.

"My Dad will be passing on the Alpha title to me. That's way more important than a fucking ceremony where we say a few words before running off to fuck."

I jumped up, throwing my book at him and storming out of the room.

"Torin, get your little ass back here."

"Screw you, Robert Killian."

Happiness begins 

-Ariana Grande's- No Tears left to cry is a pop song about keeping a more positive mentality. It’s an uplifting song saying that there are no more tears, keep looking up, you deserve it. It’s 3 minutes and 53 seconds long and is played with a C and major cord for the chorus. The tempo of the song is is 122 BMP.

Fast car by Luke Combs is one of the most popular country songs today, and while is has many different themes, I added  this to the playlist because it speaks on your dreams and taking them on. Luke speaks of an open road and they things that lie ahead of you. 

Don’t stop Believing by the Journey is a classical rock song that is simply written within the e major chord. This song has the panio and the guitar playing creating a powerful song about not giving on on your dreams. This song is perfect  great start to your morning to boost your confidence in my opinion. 

We found love by Rihanna and Calvin Harris- While this electronic song, is about finding new love, it can give a sense of hope on finding someone, which is why I felt it was a good fit for this. This is a song that has lyrics yes but most is the keyboard for the chorus, giving us mostly a production of different sounds in the background. 

Before he cheats by Carrier Underwood is a classic country song, played by piano and guitar. She sings effortlessly about a man cheating on a women but what will happen if it is her. The song hits so hard notes vocally and with the guitar epically at the end

You found me by The Fray is a rock song made in 2009.While this song doesn’t seem upbeat because it talks about things that happen in life like being let down and heartbroken, it can be a reminder that that’s how life is. Sometimes you need a slower song on your playlist so when you hear it you can be realistic about your feelings.

Ariana Grande's Sweetener pop/ R&B song made in 2018 is a vocally artistic work of art, talking about being there for one another when life overwhelmed us. Her songs raise awareness of anxiety and how we can deal with that. Sometimes  this is a song you need to hear to remind yourself that your not alone, the musical background is not very strong because its about the words being sung that are trying to get across to everyone.

 For this weeks “ Find your musical theme” the  theme of my playlist is called “ happiness begins”. I chose this title because you need a certain playlist in the morning to start your day off with the right vibes. You need to remind yourself to be happy, and this playlist and their lyrics reflect uplifting words I like to listen to to make me feel better if I need it. It’s a mix of sad, strong, and emotion, and sometimes you need all those various types to encourage yourself. I personally enjoy starting my day off with these songs in particular, all of them being some of my favorites songs to listen to when i need to hear a specific message.
