Courtney: I can’t believe you’d let him do that. Oscar: He’s a grown man, Cookie. Oscar: Besides-.. maybe he’ll meet someone nice. Courtney: Maybe you should go out n’ meet someone nice as well, someone new. Oscar: [laughs] I have a perfectly perfect wife at home-.. the spaghetti’s questionable though. [Courtney gasped, launching a forkful of said spaghetti at Oscar’s head-.. she missed, probably giving Lou or Oreo a free morsel and unwittingly giving Wren a free pass to launch yet another fistful of her own meal in some unknown direction] Oscar: That one’s on you. Courtney: Yeah, yeah. Oscar: Robin’s in trouble, by the way, so no dessert for him today. Robin: Dad-… Oscar: Don’t dad me, that’s what you get for playing spy. Robin: Dad had a cigarette! Oscar: You little-.. no dessert for a week now. Robin: [gasps] But-… Courtney: You heard him. Don’t snitch on people either, it’s not nice. [Robin scoff-sighed and rolled his eyes; all these rules were stupid and so were parents-.. sometimes]

Ok girl dad Gumshoe agenda continuing, ft domestic magshoe

They have two daughters together

Maggie has to remind Gumshoe multiple times to not give the girls his gun to hold

When the kids go on day trips it’s usually Maggie and not the kids who forget the important things at home and they have to go back to get them. Repeat 3 times

Because of Maggies bad luck they have to be sooo careful while she’s pregnant. Gumshoe was sweating bullets the whole 9 months

Gumshoe lets the girls do his hair and makeup but either forgets or feels too bad to undo it so he goes into work with pigtails and badly done lipstick and mascara. When Edgeworth asks about it, Gunshoe just respond like “my girls go me all pretty for going into work, pal😊”

The girls give Maggie and Gumshoe so many drawings and arts and crafts and the two well up every time. Maggie always gives them to Gumshoe to keep so nothing bad happens to them due to her bad luck

Gumshoe is always bragging about his daughters with the guys at the precinct, either it be about proper achievements or something simple or adorable they did

Once Gumshoe becomes a father, Edgeworth subtly raises his paycheck for every small thing Gumshoe does right because obviously kids mean a lot of money and they can’t just live on cup noodles. Phoenix notices and teases him about actually having a soft spot for Gumshoe, which Edgeworth naturally denies

Speaking of, Edgeworth is the girls godfather and when Gumshoe told Edgeworth, Edgeworth got kinda emotional but obviously didn’t admit it and just pretended something was in his eye

The girls adore Edgeworth though because he buys them gifts and has a cute dog

Franziska shows up once a year or so, teaches the girls a trick with a whip, gives them a gift and then leaves. The girls love her though as their weird aunt

Edgeworth also gets the girls into the steel samurai

Anyway, back to Gumshoe and Maggie, Gumshoe fully wakes up early and makes the girls pancakes while wearing a flowery apron

Gumshoe also throws the best birthday parties for his girls and goes above and beyond. Naturally, he also cuts the confetti himself and makes the cake (which is a bit messy but he tries his best)

When the girls are a bit older and get their periods, Gumshoe goes out to buy them what they need and returns like “I didn’t know what kind you wanted so I bought all the kinds pal!” And it’s just anything at the store that was absorbent

Gumshoe definitely has a protective side when it comes to his daughters but he doesn’t let that become controlling. He just doesn’t want them getting hurt

hey did you guys knowed that i um. headcanon them as relatives. all of them. (Cousins btw!! and they all have the tooth gap bc it runs in the family.) some headcanons n design notes below:

Sads is Atticus's cousin on the paternal side (and prester's kid bc its the funniest outcome) the weird lines on the foot is basically just me giving him my surgery scars in the form of dents. (and his design is based on that fake chup advert poster thing)

Winston's his cousin on the maternal side (i gave him fun colors bc i think he deserves neons and stuff. also he lost his foot owie ow

atticus is a big wig who got a loan shark frame on accident, and it was kinda painful to try and fit it all in there. he's also got those cool feet bc idc i like that it goes hard. and see thru plasticine legs bc i thought it'd be cool to give cogs see thru parts.

Sads also has that its on his torso and upper thighs kinda like how a lot of people drew sans with a "body" and stuff. winny used to have it but like. all bones. so sad.

oh. btw atticus's pupils being different sizes is healthy, he's got an anisocoria which is a medical condition where his pupils are different sizes, and he's got mild dry eyes (its caused by a mix of the head injury from BTL and also medication -- Fluxotine and Risperidone)

TEEN BEAT: If you could make your own movie, what would it be about?

JONATHAN: I think I'd love to do a movie someday about kids growing up in show business. It wouldn't be the first film l'd want to make—it would probably be one of the last. It would be very interesting to me because it's a very, very different sort of childhood. Movies about this business never do well, don't make any money. I'd look at the serious side of it. A buddy of mine, Seth Green [Byrds Of Paradise], wrote a very comedic version of it and it's very interesting. But this idea's always been in my head to show a very serious, almost negative side to it.

TEEN BEAT: Would it be based on your own experiences?

JONATHAN: Yes, I think it would be based on my own experiences. I've been doing this all my life and I think if I were to also write it I would probably give the best version of it, because anybody can do it but it helps to live through certain things, to be related to certain things.

TEEN BEAT: Do you have any regrets about being in show biz your whole life?

JONATHAN: Not really, no, I don't because I guess I see the things I did and I see the things I could have done going to proms and high school football games – a lot of things that a lot of kids do. And then I see what I have-having the chance to act, be in certain magazines and do certain films. Very few people get the chance to do that.

Beginning of the Third Year (the Hemming-Byrd Legacy)

Ophelia is still deep into knitting and has been trying to gift her creations to others, with varying success. After watching mom for a while, Bea has successfully maxed all of her skills! She’s going to be a smarty-pants when she grows up. Lanuola spends some quality time out at the gym mentoring her buddy Duane. In preparation for Beatrix’s childhood, a few modifications have been made to the property: an outdoor kitchen and dining room have been added, and the park area has been renovated to include more bathrooms and a chess table. Lanuola takes advantage of their new kitchen to work through canning up all the oversized crops they’ve been saving. Lanuola goes to their favorite restaurant to pick up a birthday cake for Beatrix.

Back at home they have a small party with just the family. Bea has grown up into a Whiz Kid* with a passion for recycling, thanks to the influence of all the nature around her and her parents' environmentalist influence. Hopefully I can keep her from disassembling everything they own… Waiting for her after cake is a pile of presents to open as well as two special gifts: a handmade violin from Lanuola and a knitted sweater from Ophelia. Ophelia manages to keep it together through most of the party, but her new explosive emotions quirk shows through in a burst of tears; it’s that point in the save file where all their acquaintances start dying.

The family heads out to the gym so Lanuola can work on mentoring athletes at the gym. Ophelia & Beatrix head to the roof to play chess; when the paparazzi and the fans show as usually Beatrix gets to make her first friend her age: Bo Bjergsen. When Lanuola is done with work, Bea’s moms let her take her new friend to the library with them. Lanuola reads to the kids while Ophelia finds a quiet corner to work on her knitting; well, relatively quiet at least. On their way out, Bea makes her second friend: Fred Moon. With them both having famous parents, they have a lot in common. The family goes to the Chez Llama for a peaceful dinner thanks to their new “celebrity only” entrance.

Over wine for the adults and a dessert for baby Bea, Ophelia and Lanuola decide that it's time to expand the family. Something about hanging out in the infant room all day has gotten Ophelia excited about having a gaggle of kids to bring to the library in the future. After putting Beatrix to bed, they have a chance for some alone time before turning in themselves. It's a little crowded in the home with sleeping space for three, but with a whole beach to inhabit during the day it's not really that big of a deal; I'm hoping to keep them at Micro Home size until the generation 2 heir marries. In the morning, Beatrix sets off for her first day of school with her cool voidcritters backpack. After she’s home, Lanuola takes the family to work at the gym with her so that Ophelia can teach Bea to ride her new bike on some proper pavement.

The winter holidays come around once more. This year is Beatrix's first Kwanza! They enjoy a lovely meal with the family followed by presents. Lanuola paradoxically starts a midlife crisis because she’s “not been very successful thus far”; strange coming from the most productive member of this Legacy by a long shot. She’s been in such a good mood lately so I’m a little confused on what triggered a mid-life crisis since I just got the pack; it’s almost as random as her regularly cropping up with a fear of water while hanging out on dry land. At this point it’s a personality trait… When opening presents, Lanuola ended up with a poop instead of a gift so little Bea sneaks some more gifts into the pile so they can try again. There’s only one goofball on this lot, so Lanuola likely pranked herself, but I didn’t see anyone over by presents all day. It’s a mystery.

The welcome wagon finally arrives after two in-game years living on the lot! The neighbors from up the road, Teulia and Fetia Iosua, have dropped by with a plate of food to join the festivities.

After wiggling at her loose tooth all day, Beatrix finally loses her first tooth; the tooth fairy comes in the night to deliver some spare change and a cool new poster. She’ll hang that on her personal clutter wall with her place mat collection. Lanuola overachieves on her midlife crisis and knocks it out in no time at all; not surprising, since life coaching is literally her schtick. After a hard day of work, she enjoys the fruits of her crisis. Too bad Ophelia couldn’t join her in the hot tub because she’s… (drum roll) pregnant! Instead, Ophelia spends the day knitting away to create clothes and toys for their upcoming bundle of joy. Soon it’ll be time for the first intentional additions to the Legacy and Beatrix’s first younger sibling. (You don't know how much self-restraint it took to wait this long to have them start having kids.)

Karamu marks the end of winter and the inaugural meeting of the Munchkin Bridge: Beatrix’s new club since she’s not old enough to join the Hummingbird Collective. Bo Bjergsen aged up just after meeting her, but he sent along his little sister Melany instead. Bea makes quick friends with everybody, especially her new bff Luz Alto; her moms give her permission to invite Luz back for the Karamu feast later that evening. Ophelia comes home from work having maxed her career: she’s now officially a Creator of Worlds! Instead of jumping straight into a new career, she’ll keep pulling those Level 10 paychecks until baby Hemming-Byrd comes along. Somehow, Lanuola’s fear of water has made handling fish too much for her so Ophelia fries up a grand fish dinner for the feast. Ophelia invites over her first friend, Makoa, and his family so they can celebrate the end of the festive season together. Lilliana is expecting too; they both hope that their children can grow up to be just as close as she and Makoa.

Nothing new on the gallery this time, but I've made sure the spreadsheet is up to date. :) Somewhere in the background, Beatrix quickly maxed all her children skills; guess it's time to start picking up adult skills next! Speaking of "next" you can find the link to the next section up at the top from now on; makes it easier for me to link it when I make the next post.

Robin: Go to sleep, Byrd. Byrd: But I needs to ask something really important. Robin: [sighs] What? Byrd: How do girls go pee if they don’t have a willy? Robin: Oh my god…

Oscar: Who’s talking about willies at this time of night?! Wren: I want a willy! Courtney: Ugh, me too.. so much easier for camping. Oscar: I’ll lend you mine. [Robin threw his pillow at Oscar, gagging exaggeratedly] Robin: Gross! [Robin ducked as Oscar threw it back, rolling his eyes with mirth at his parents simultaneous cackling]

Courtney: Okay, okay.. everyone go to sleep! [Wren shook her head and leapt out of her sleeping bag, only to be slammed back into it by Oscar’s forearm] Oscar: For fu-..dge sake, sleep! Byrd: [whispers] Fuck. Courtney: BYRD! Robin: I could totally eat some fudge though. Courtney: Ohh, me too. Oscar: I think I have some somewhere, hang on…
