Pieces... I don’t need anyone to save me.  There are too many sunsets I am yet to see, need to see, must see.  But someone cheering me on would help.  Someone holding my hand in love instead of judgement would be nice.   Because isn’t that what we all want? To be loved for who we are and what we are and all that we are, always?  The waves and sea remind me that even when its rough,  I am here to be me and make a difference to those who need to see they’re not alone   as I share the relentless things that have happened to me, that they took from me.   The peace and quiet broken by voices; some familiar, some I can’t place,  calling out the mundane as they go about their day, treating those they encounter   with contempt instead of care, with judgment instead of love.  And I pray that they will be quiet so that I can focus, listen,   only hear the one voice I need to hear in peace.  But this place I find myself in is peaceless cos there are so many pieces,  and I will not rest until I am whole again.   . . Here's a depressing little stream of consciousness type of thing I wrote earlier. I figured I'd jump on the caption posting bandwagon too, which makes sense cos the shit I write sometimes spans 2 or 3 panels lol. . . . Forests and trees. The more I find myself the less I feel like I belong, confined by what others have come to expect, oppressed by their fear of deviation from the norm. The more I try to connect the more disconnected, alien I feel. Where is the 'me' shaped hole? There is a bottomless pit inside me, no matter how much I pour into it I can't see it even beginning to fill in. Am I leaking somewhere? Am I just drowning in possibility? I've lost my anchor somewhere along the way. The beast that resides in my heart has become restless again, disappointed. I'm breaking our pact and losing my way. I need to find the resolve I had when I made my escape, stoke the embers and breathe life back into the flame. Shake myself free of this moss that took advantage of my indolence. Once again I steel myself as I journey within to parley with the Shadows. . . . "Plausible Deniability" . . . How the fuck am I still losing sleep over you? You don't deserve to take up my thoughts as much as you still do, but one stray thought quickly turns into an avalanche, even after all this time. But it's not thoughts of love; it's regret, it's hurt, it's all the little things I overlooked. How you wanted everything til you didn't, because something new and exciting caught your eye. How you were in love with the narrative you were creating, because we all know the narrative is more important than the truth. How it didn't matter who you hurt, as long as you were happy, unless you needed to save face. How you did everything you could to make sure I was the reason it fell apart, making me endure the impossible while luring me along a trail of sweet nothing's. Offering your love while keeping your heart just out of reach. Then, when I finally broke, you absolved yourself on a technicality: "it's not like we're together anymore, you did this to yourself". Plausible deniability is wonderful thing, no? . . .
