the male body & masculinity are seen as the standard. unshaven, flat chest, no make up, practical & comfortable clothing, taking up space, confidence. all of those are seen as male traits.

that’s why gnc lesbians who are loud, uncomfortable and don’t go out of their way when i man walks towards them, get told they’re men so often. either by men who wanna humiliate them or by trans rights activists who can’t fathom that women aren’t conforming to the pink stereotype.

femininity on the other hand is an invention by men. they made women dependent on them by hoarding resources and started wars over them. they made up the lie that women stem from a man’s rib, that sperm is racing to the egg when in reality the egg selects the sperm, they made women bind their feet and even made up a god to cope with their unimaginable womb envy.

oftentimes women who don’t conform to femininity, have a small chest and butt, get called boyish, androgyn, masculine but you’ve never ever see a fat man with moobs and a big dump get called feminine. never.

that’s why so many women that identify as non binary get their breasts cut off or tape them away daily, take low doses of T to get a deeper voice, starve their curves off and wear baggy clothes but i’ve yet to see a non binary male get a breast augmentation, lip filler, a BBL or wear heels.

femininity is putting lots of shit on, get under the knife, spent thousands on products & procedures, be quiet, small, uncomplicated, medicated, under control & masculinity is existing in your natural state, standing up for yourself and being confident.

can somebody tell me the material difference between the transphobia trans men face and the oppression butch lesbians face for being gnc? because as a dysphoric, male-passing butch lesbian who lived as a trans man for eight years, i've been the victim of many violent hate crimes (ie. police had to intervene, not "someone called me a slur"), and i've never felt that my attackers had a different motive when i just happened to inwardly identify differently. yet despite still being discriminated against in the same way, and still being dysphoric about being female, and facing all of the same struggles, i'm now considered cis and not systematically oppressed for my gender presentation. so can somebody tell me the difference? what differentiates the oppression i face now as a dysphoric, male-passing cis woman from transphobia? at what point do i no longer have a place in the trans community?
