#I know it’s also just korean society in general and how hard you have to work and the standards you have to appease #but. yeah especially in this industry #that combined with the society’s general lack of emphasis on mental health and lack of resources in that area and the stigma about it #it’s. just. literally killing people left and right. and I guess I just hope that something might come of these high-publicity tragedies #jjong’s mom and sister are doing their part with their foundation but the companies themselves need to really step it the fuck up and make #mental healthcare a priority if not something mandatory for its artists #I don’t know about the details of moonbin’s situation and I didn’t know him as a person remotely to the extent of jjong but I’d hate for his #situation to have been similarly avoidable and pushed forwards by lack of proper attention/proper treatment/etc #either way. they just need to do better. the whole country needs to do better. that’s not an opinion that’s statistical fact. sk’s suicide #rates are absolutely insane. I want to see people protesting over this shit soon or holding awareness events or something. its gutwrenching #to see this keep happening and virtually nothing changing #anyway sorry this has . reminded me of things and made me feel a bit like I did in 2017 on a smaller scale even if I didn’t stan the group #kibumblabs #cw death #cw suicide

Whenever not having an interest in relationships is used to signify soneone is becoming too obsessive in their career, becoming depressed or otherwise not being healthy I get it, alright. Relationships are important for a lot of people, but from an aspec perpective it feels alienating to have something that isn't really negative for you be framed as a negative. I think this is one of those points where diversity matters, because it would feel less alienating if there wasn't such an emphasis on relationships universally being considered the peak fulfillment of your humanity. If there was more understanding and representation of people who are happy single, not in a girlboss "I'm focusing on succeeding at capitalism" way but just that it's okay on its own without having to be justified by some other pursuit.

Ok honestly I've been a bit of a hater of the dungeon meshi anime because there are many scenes that were cut or done so much better in the manga but legitimately the last two episodes of season 1 were really well done.

Also I will always have to give it up for fighting the red dragon and fighting Falgon scenes, those were spectacularly done in the anime. And the second op & ending are both extremely charming

Anyway I hope with the break until s2 more people read the manga because Ryoko Kui's art is gorgeous and so many little jokes and comments had to get cut

#dungeon meshi #the spot to end s1 was honestly perfect too because the plot picks up a lot going forward and there's a part coming up where it backtracks a #bit jumping between groups to show what x group was up to during the main party's antics #anyway I cannot recommend the manga enough it's legitimately so fucking incredible and it's less than 100 chapters #but yeah ok I highly recommend the anime now too especially since I can't imagine s2 won't be even better considering the rest of the story #gotta wait like 2yrs for it tho lol. or I hope at least. please animation industry let your employees live outside crunch 🙏

Hey new followers. I know a lot of you decided to follow me because of the tree law post. Honestly surprised it’s getting as much attention as it is.

But you should know I’m not gonna post a lot about the WGA/SAG strike. Or Hollywood. If you think I’ll post a lot of “class solidarity” or pro-union stuff, you will be disappointed.

I’m here for the fandom and to satisfy my ADHD fixations. Occasionally I jump at the chance to explain legal stuff to people. Block “fury’s a lawyer” if you don’t care about that.

I’m also here to share cute pics of the farm animals and to occasionally rant. If you don’t want to see any philosophy or religious stuff, block the tags “religious I guess” and “religious I know”.

I actually think very little of Hollywood. Like, subterranean opinion.

Also, my friends and family run the whole range of income and background classes found in the USA. I grew up on a small family farm. My dad drives truck. My mom’s a farmer’s wife (basically runs the admin stuff). My sister is a doctor, I’m a lawyer, my younger sibs bartend, work on the farm, and are starting their own businesses. I have teachers and chefs and a high powered corporate type in my extended family. My friends include an independent contractor, a CEO, some engineers, a handyman, a retired preacher, etc. They cover a decent range of the political spectrum. I like to engage with people as people.

I try to avoid “my side no matter what” and “my side is always right” ways of thinking. I also try not to weigh in on subjects unless I’ve at least done some basic research. Sure I fail. And I’m sure you’ll find proof in my posts to show I’m a hypocrite from time to time. I’m only human.

So, yeah. If you wanna stay, welcome. If any of this upsets you, you can unfollow or block. And if you send hateful anons, I honestly just kinda find them funny.

I think Ryuseitai and Crazy:B should have an event together purely for the Rinne-Chiaki parallels because the !! Main Story really gave us "If I had taken one wrong step, I would've ended up exactly like you" and then just. Never really elaborated when there is so much that could be done with it???

Do you know how often I think about the potential of these two??? I am literally skimming through stories for Chiaki-Rinne mentions its that bad.

#I stood next to Sierra Ferrell in the “poser pit” tonight and it was legitimately horrifying how… Watched.. Expectation?#Sam usually knows everybody and people come up and compliment him while I’m standing there #But this was very sinister.#And like we took a break and went over where there’s less lights and sound and people and cameras and talked about it by the trees and art #But like the backstage/green room was so industrial and bright. I’ve never been in one like that before (usually dark and damp LOL)#And Sam was like yeah this is why it fucks people up #And like it just makes sense to me in a new way now. incredible that I even ever imagined I'd be able to do a cv, research interest, AND personal motivation in 6 hours because today I'm just trying to think of a personal motivation letter and I cannot think of fuck about shit

#well I have till the end of the month for this one #seems like a pretty good option #except for (a) I'd have to move inland #and (b) it seems more focused towards industry professionals and I'm not sure how good it would be if #at some point I decide to go for PhD #like it's not even an MSc #it's an MIT #however at the present point in time I *am* looking towards industry work so #it's probably fine #but an MSc would be good for both options. should my wishes change #however I imagine this might be easier lol. especially alongside work #sooo #anyway yeah what the FUCK does one put in these things #m #whining #I might also try for their MSc but I gotta hunt down supervisors which is a whole nother nightmare

i remembered this thing that happened like two years ago that this israhelli kpop festival was happening and ateez were invited and i remember everyone was like kq wtf?? but turns out that festival was a lie one of the people organizing it made up the fact they were going without anyone’s consent i even remember kq put out a statement that they had no idea about it and in fact when you went to ateez’s official schedule around that time nothing was there so they literally made it up and lied about it which something these people are very good at apparently

#idk if anyone remembers this #but i remember how everyone was emailing kq and everyone so confused #bc yeah it was not on their schedule and the only place you could see #that they were ‘going’ was on that israhelli poster and on their facebook #it was crazy bc obviously if it was legit it would be disaster #and i can’t help but think they were attempting something #even back then #what i’m trying to say is #this time around it could be legit or it could also be a lie #this is obviously a stain on any person’s career #especially if they go physically to that made up place #to do a concert bc that’s endorsing it and giving them money and publicity #and so i’m amazed how they thought nobody would catch them #in their lie 😭 like that’s crazy #so yeah they probably have been trying to get in kpop industry a long time ago #but this time is more obvious bc they are scrambling #and so pls pay attention to things bc this shit might happen again #tris.txt

#like yeah man stylization is the key to good animation congrats you figured it out. nobody had thought of that yet ig #its not like 2d animation had been doing that for more than 100 years already #like listen i get that when 3d animation was young realism was difficult and therefore applauded when achieved #which then influenced trends and industry standards for the next few decades i get the reasons why #but realism is not compelling for audiences especially for kids and especially when thats basically all there is #its like the graphics shit with aaa video games like yea you can see her pores but is her character design interesting?#im just glad things are gonna get more interesting from now on

I'm going to be honest, I think banning disposable vapes is going to send smoking rates through the roof. Especially among minors

#like a kid getting cigarettes is way more feesible than getting a resuable vape #a thing they have to ask their parents for #but these kids are addicted so theyre going to get it somewhere #i am also not really ok with that much power being in the governments hands #my anarchist brain does not like that shit one bit #just genuinely think about that industry and how many jobs have just been lost or endangered #plus i honestly dont think we should stop adults doing shit because its bad for kids #stricter laws sure. trying to reduce kids doing it as much as humanly possible. absolutely #but outright banning them makes me really uncomfortable #thats going to have a snowball of consequences and not all of them are good #especially because our regulations actually make vapes way way safer than us vapes #and now bang goes that shit. pop corn lung for everyone #i empathise with the environmental thing completely but like #lets be clear here there are absolutely other thing the government could be doing for that and is refusing #or fuck they could ban cigarettes which are provably way worse than vaping but dont #just like yeah were helping the environment but not like. stopping fossil fuel use or banning half the stuff thats actually polluting #vent
