Whenever not having an interest in relationships is used to signify someone is becoming too obsessive in their career, becoming depressed or otherwise not being healthy I get it, alright. Relationships are important for a lot of people, but from an aspec perpective it feels alienating to have something that isn't really negative for you be framed as a negative. I think this is one of those points where diversity matters, because it would feel less alienating if there wasn't such an emphasis on relationships universally being considered the peak fulfillment of your humanity. If there was more understanding and representation of people who are happy single, not in a girlboss "I'm focusing on succeeding at capitalism" way but just that it's okay on its own without having to be justified by some other pursuit.

Ok honestly I've been a bit of a hater of the dungeon meshi anime because there are many scenes that were cut or done so much better in the manga but legitimately the last two episodes of season 1 were really well done.

Also I will always have to give it up for fighting the red dragon and fighting Falgon scenes, those were spectacularly done in the anime. And the second op & ending are both extremely charming

Anyway I hope with the break until s2 more people read the manga because Ryoko Kui's art is gorgeous and so many little jokes and comments had to get cut

🌷When does your self-insert come into the story? Is your selfship established before the events of the source?

—— Tobio actually appears really early in the game, she can be found in the coffee shop sipping on coffee while reading a newspaper. she's kinda like Ellen Joe when she's standing in front of the arcade yk? (was it an arcade? i think it was) so the only interaction you'll get from her is her saying "sorry, on break." or "shifts over, kid."

now when you first see her in the game she's still neat looking, tied hair, well kept tail, intact ears and both eyes perfectly fine overall and is still a public security officer. HOWEVER! when undercover r&b rolled around Tobio's appearance completely changed, messier hair, unkempt hair, a couple of bits of her ears chipped off and one of her eyes was covered by an eye patch (this is due to an encounter with Seth, typical cat fight situation yk?). after undercover r&b Tobio disappears from the coffee shop.

🌻Does your self-insert or F/O go through any character development throughout the story?

in game event wise Tobio is known to go through one arc (the undercover r&b arc), a cat who was once on the side of justice stopping things that terror folks now became the one doing the terrorizing! lore wise she goes through two arcs (still being fleshed out unfortunately).

🌼Is there an official confession scene between the two of them?

unfortunately no, Jane and Tobio got together behind the scenes before the event started (they are already together when it starts!) but after the cutscene where Jane almost got attacked by that big thingamajiggy they'd share an affectionate moment realizing how much they needed each other more than what they knew. this is one of the rare moments where we get to see Jane's actual character and an even rarer moment to see Tobio's actual character considering she doesn't talk much and is usually in Jane's shadow.

Hey new followers. I know a lot of you decided to follow me because of the tree law post. Honestly surprised it’s getting as much attention as it is.

But you should know I’m not gonna post a lot about the WGA/SAG strike. Or Hollywood. If you think I’ll post a lot of “class solidarity” or pro-union stuff, you will be disappointed.

I’m here for the fandom and to satisfy my ADHD fixations. Occasionally I jump at the chance to explain legal stuff to people. Block “fury’s a lawyer” if you don’t care about that.

I’m also here to share cute pics of the farm animals and to occasionally rant. If you don’t want to see any philosophy or religious stuff, block the tags “religious I guess” and “religious I know”.

I actually think very little of Hollywood. Like, subterranean opinion.

Also, my friends and family run the whole range of income and background classes found in the USA. I grew up on a small family farm. My dad drives truck. My mom’s a farmer’s wife (basically runs the admin stuff). My sister is a doctor, I’m a lawyer, my younger sibs bartend, work on the farm, and are starting their own businesses. I have teachers and chefs and a high powered corporate type in my extended family. My friends include an independent contractor, a CEO, some engineers, a handyman, a retired preacher, etc. They cover a decent range of the political spectrum. I like to engage with people as people.

I try to avoid “my side no matter what” and “my side is always right” ways of thinking. I also try not to weigh in on subjects unless I’ve at least done some basic research. Sure I fail. And I’m sure you’ll find proof in my posts to show I’m a hypocrite from time to time. I’m only human.

I think Ryuseitai and Crazy:B should have an event together purely for the Rinne-Chiaki parallels because the !! Main Story really gave us "If I had taken one wrong step, I would've ended up exactly like you" and then just. Never really elaborated when there is so much that could be done with it???

Do you know how often I think about the potential of these two??? I am literally skimming through stories for Chiaki-Rinne mentions its that bad.
