QSMP HEAD CANON:

Tubbo's other friends are demonic entities who Tubbo seemed to charm and become friends with and sometimes they try and help him out

Tubbo groaned hearing the entities he called his friends tease him to no end about his feelings for the Brazilian who was standing next to him concerned. "Don't worry its just the entities again" Tubbo said brushing it off.

If it were anyone else Pac would've been worried out of his mind trying to help them, but he trusted the entities Tubbo seemed to be surrounded by. The boy in question was ranting to Pac about his Machines when he felt the vibe change. He could basically tell when one of the entities possessed him.

"Hi. Which one are you?" He asked "I'm Aimee" the entity said. They sounded feminine "And you're Pac right?" They asked "Sim" he replied "He likes you too" She said "¿Q-que?" the entity sighed "he has MAJOR feelings for you and your boyfriend. He's just too scared to say it because he thinks you'll hate him" she said.

Pac's jaw dropped, did tubbo actually have a crush on him and Fit? I mean he had feelings for him, and he was 70 percent sure Fit did aswell so it wasn't too far out for him to like them back

He zoned back in seeing Tubbo very flustered trying to explain himself to Pac saying she was just joking around. Pac could see right through that flustered expression on his face that was so fragile, even the slightest touch would break it.

"Look, Aimee was saying nonsense it was a prank I swear-" he said cutting himself off hearing one of them say something "I should probably head to bed, sorry for the trouble pac" he said tears threatening to fall.

Pac smiled grabbing his hand pulling him closer. He rested his other hand on the brit's cheek with a soft smile. That was enough to break him. He clung to Pac sobbing. The two sunk down to the ground, Tubbo on Pac's lap crying his eyes out while Pac holds him,giving him soft kisses and rubbing his back.

After awhile he stopped crying. He just sat there curled up on Pac's lap "do you wanna talk about it?" The other shook his head. "Okay. I'm ready when you do. I'll always be here for you Tubbo. I love you, eu te amo." He said watching Tubbo smile at his words. He smiled, knowing he was able to help him feel better made him feel good. He kissed Tubbo's head once more before hearing fit

"I leave for a month and my boyfriend and best friend are dating, my god" he said joining the two on the ground. He gave Pac a kiss on the cheek before kissing Tubbo's forehead. God they really needed to talk about this later.

Im not the BIGGEST fan of how they characterize them, esp Fact, but its definitely the most decent factventure content out there. I so like this one quite a bit, though their ideas are definitely better in theory than completely in practice. That's how I feel abt a lot of their works, but this person unironically holds the title for like 90% of the factventure content. If you just want some quick cute smut of them, i'd say you should check out their acc, cus I get the factventure fandom is starving LMAOO

The Catacomb Killer, harry/kim: I don't think I ever fully finished this one, but I remember REALLY liking the whole case the fic was set around. there was so much thought put into it, it was genuinely interesting like a murder mystery show

Retour à nouveau, harry/kim: I did really like the whole plot and buildup in this one, but from what I remember, them getting together was super anticlimatic :P i recall being disappointed, but the whole actual case and their interactions during the fic are super cute

I am legitimately curious and would like some input - AOT Fandom

I have rarely ever interacted with the Attack on Titan fandom, but this anime/manga has been a huge part of my life since i was like 13 and I want to hear from some fans.

So to put it out there: Im not a fan of EreMika. I have my reasons and its my opinion, but Ive never been against people who ship it (which I know a lot do). Ship whoever you want, yknow? However its because of this ship and how some fans are very very protective of it that I feel the need to ask this question.

How does the fandom feel about oc/canon pairings with Eren especially? Ive finished the show and manga, and I've been wanting to do things with my little pairing with my oc that Ive had for years, but the fandom and shippers have, quite frankly, given me so much anxiety that even though I know im allowed to enjoy things and do my own thing, the idea of people getting very upset and angry genuinely upsets me.

I wanna do art, I wanna write fanfics and short stories and stuff, and Id love to post them but I genuinely want to know others thoughts. Call me sensitive, but I want to be able to share the things I love and make me happy too, like everyone else :)

Regarding your statement on shipping/simping for your characters: How do you feel about other fan content besides fan-art? Ex. fanfiction, cosplay, edits, creating headcanons, kinning, and other fan labour such as that?

generally I think as long as people stay Normal about it then I'm fine with most of that stuff! and by normal I mean "they aren't making stuff with my ocs thats overly suggestive/straight up NSFW" like I mentioned with the simping thing, I've seen how some of yall talk about wanting the madness boys and I do NOT wanna hear that about my ocs lol. and also like, yanno, I've seen people get weirdly possessive over the ocs of artists they like and get mad if the artist does something with them that they personally dont like or "didn't fit their headcanon about [artists oc]" and, yk, nobody do that and were good!

To be specific though:

Fanfiction: I think that would be cool! However I would like to ask that I be able to proofread it before its posted anywhere if thats possible. Not cause I'm worried about someone mischaracterizing my ocs or something about the work itself being of low quality, I dont care about that, I just wanna make sure whatever going on in the fic isn't weird. Cause there was this one time I recieved a fanart comic from someone that had a. strange premise that, now knowing what I know now about them, looking back on it im like Damn! That was kinda fucking weird huh! And I don't want stuff like that happening again is all lol. Also there were a couple other incidents where people wrote fanfic about my goons that was....interesting and def didn't make me and my husband super uncomfortable, so again, I wanna avoid that if possible lol

Cosplay: That would be literally so fucking sick i don't even think I have any worries about that thatd just be baller asf

Edits: I think the same general rules about fanart apply there, generally you're free to do whatever! Just nothing nsfw/super suggestive n were good. I dont wanna see thirst trap edits of my guys lmao. Oh and like, obviously credit my art, that's all lol

Headcanons: Like I mentioned before, as long as you don't convince yourself that's the truth then were good! I like hearing ideas about my goons from other people, its really flattering to see! And sometimes it gives me ideas I actually really like for them and end up making it canon! Not all the time but its happened before lol (See: everyone saying Eb was demigirl coded before I made her a demigirl lmao)

Kinning: Same as before, as long as you're not possessive about it the way I've seen some people be possessive about characters they kin then were chill! Same thing goes for introjects of my characters cause I know yall exist, I bring it up here cause I've gotten asks before about introjects wanting to know if it was ok to kin my ocs or identify as them and like, I can't stop you from being you brother!

like, as long as you're not doing anything sexual with them or anything else obviously fucked up (ie. making xenophobic shit with them, using them for proship shit, etc) then I'm cool with it! I love seeing what yall got to say or do about my ocs, its so very touching!

👶Fankids: How you do you feel about them? Would your OTP have kids?

Ohoho you know I love my (technically their) kids 😈. I actually don't think a lot of LM ships would have children, other than canon era!Marisette, whom I think will have the typical 2-children bourgeois family (and I talked about them a lot more here!). Also thinking about canon era!JBM having a son that Joly and Bossuet never got to meet (😭), who grows up to be besties with Marisette children and they become like, the triumvirate reincarnate ❤️.

I've also recently been entertaining the idea of modern AU exR being dads (specifically the teacher AU versions) 🥺. They would be in the New Dads Honeymoon period for SO long because idt either of them would have ever imagined living the kind of lives that they're living right now: happy and in love and with a child. They would embarrass her so much when she gets older 😔

🔮What's your favorite plot twist you've ever written?

I think most of my fics are pretty straightforward, alas 😔 I think the only one that could technically be coming out from left field would be the ending of A Study in Heists where Combeferre and Joly figure out who's been taking the equipment 👁👁. Very in-character, I'd say.

🛌 What's a trope you haven't written, but want to?

!! I am very tempted with a lot of NSFW prompts nowadays (on behalf of LMIFHAG 👀), but writing smut is hard for me so most of my ideas get translated to drawings instead. Other than that, I do wanna write more fluffy romance stuff 👉👈 I've been angst-ing it up for too long; I need some happiness!!

Man, tons of things!! Um, some things I learnt:

Different shorthands (particularly the French Duployan shorthand that was created in the 1860s)

The movement of Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People after its completion (it was returned to Delacroix from the Palais Du Luxembourg after the 1832 rebellion "for fear of setting a bad example" :p)

French cuisine, of course...apparently they don't drink much tea back in the early 19th century! So I had them chugging tons of coffee. And Mael told me about sablés, so I had Cosette eat them too ^^

Chaotic Fanfic Recommendation <3

Do you wanna read about a bard with no self preservation skills with a band of emotionally constipated wolf guys? What about platonic relationships that melt you to your absolute core? Screaming at your phone cause God will you please kiss and tell each other your big emotions?

Then I have an amazing fanfic for you, my guy. This "the way in which you talk to me (have me wishing I were gone)" by Livesinbooks. This a story of non-human Jaskier making up with Geralt after you know that and taking him to Kaer Morhen and meeting all the witchers. Then, it builds apon these relationships in stuff a fun way for the characters and the dynamics, my god the dynamics. This is such a fun story that grows and keeps you wanting more. This is about finding love in all its different forms and how to communicate in these relationships. If you have a general understand of The Witcher then you will love this canon divergence. The Geraskier is so yummy, finger licking good yummy. Jaskier is especially is most chaotic and brings everyone down with him and they find out they love his company and want geralt to lock this shit down cause Jaskier is so fluffy and good. With Ciri in this, Jaskier is already making himself #1 dad and Ciri loves it. Then, Yennefer is her badass self. The plot was not put to the side, and it entwines nicely with the characters and helps with the growth of their relationships. It feels like the author loves these characters and wants the best for them, so you. Should. Read. This. Please

struggling to stay awake but i watched the sarah z video about fanfic as an art form (very good) and then in the related videos saw several from a youtube account that gives fanfic writing tips. i was curious so i watched the one that’s like, “tips for writing fanfic that can’t work in original fiction” and have thots

i guess i kind of feel ambivalent about it bc like. on one hand i agree fic as a medium encourages and can sometimes greatly benefit from a lot of stuff that doesn’t fly in original fiction, like cutting out canon events we’ve already seen or descriptions we should already know. a fic doesn’t have to be a totally standalone work given it already depends heavily on the context of the canon it’s derived from.

on the other hand i kind of struggle to see how some of these tips benefit _any_ form of writing? like “the pace can be very choppy or glacial if you want! pacing doesn’t matter!” feels like poor advice to me if you’re trying to make your fic read well. canon can prop up a lack of exposition but cannot change the way your fic reads as its own work. i think pacing very much still matters, and “good pacing” can be somewhat subjective, but the actual wording of the advice was along the lines of like, pacing straight up doesn’t matter, which i don’t agree with at all. i think a featured comment along these lines (bc the video maker showed some other writers’ opinions that they liked) was essentially like, “you can have really incredibly slow pacing and it be fine if the story is just a relationship study and there’s no plot or themes or meaning.” EVERY STORY HAS FUCKING THEMES AND MEANING IT COMES FREE WITH YOUR FUCKING XBOX. don’t fucking encourage people to be uncritical writers oh my god

i also like. i understand that i have different aims when i write fic than other people. with the longfic i’m working on right now, i want it to retell shadowbringers (hopefully on to endwalker) with my wol and highlight things FFXIV made me feel that were meaningful to me, and i’m choosing to have a slow pace so that readers can both have that experience again through my WoL’s eyes and figure out who the fuck he is without it feeling like a hasty exposition dump. i also personally don’t like how a lot of ffxiv fics in a similar vein read, bc they skip big important canon developments and emotional moments, so i chose to like…not do that. i also know i have at least one buddy (hi faiya) if not a couple buddies who are reading it fandom-blind, so i wanna add descriptions of locations and people. (plus, again, having a biased POV character means every description is Free Characterization, Baby!) i also think having descriptions immerses a reader more even if they reiterate canon, and it can be a helpful convention to establish so that describing new locations and so on doesn’t necessarily feel so, like, jarring. with shorter pieces i skip unimportant stuff but still like having the opportunity to set a scene and work in some inventive prose.

which, like, tooting my own horn i guess. obviously i like how i write or i wouldn’t do it like that. i try to have reasons for everything i do and think about my goals for what i want my writing to evoke and the experience i’m trying to create. however i am increasingly beginning to think the experience i’m trying to create is one that just really doesn’t read like fanfiction. on one hand, i don’t always like how fanfiction reads, so to me that’s good. on the other, though, if i don’t always like how fanfiction reads, idk if i’m the best judge of these kinds of intentional stylistic breaks in fanfiction as opposed to original fiction and how well they work. i don’t like choppy pacing, i don’t like fics that dwell or feel circular vis a vis pacing, i don’t like fics that just leave shit out that would potentially strengthen the story they’re trying to tell (100% bitching about emetwol shb retellings that skip and summarize every cutscene even when it would be a big relationship moment for emet and wol. like come on it’s free development they give it to you), and i’m okay with fics that don’t have much sensory description of established stuff bc i can fill in but they’re that much less engaging for it. some of these pieces of advice strike me less as useful shortcuts in a transformative work and more as shortcuts that actually weaken a transformative work. fic has to exist in conversation with canon, but a fic i think also has to have an existence as its “own story,” if that makes sense.

i know to some degree it depends a lot on the individual fic, too. for a short fic or a oneshot i feel way more like i’d agree and say “yes, by all means, skip the exposition and unnecessary description and get to the part we’re meant to care about, we have limited real estate here, devote it to the details of import!”, like i certainly don’t sit describing the layout of the crystarium room every time i write a ficlet about it. but i’m more reticent to say that about longer pieces where you have more time to explore and recontextualize and reiterate shit that might still be relevant to your work as a whole.

SO then porcupine(yes that's all I refer to him as) is like 'ohhh I like yn. Damn.' and he hates kamo even MORE and because yn is dating kamo, it gets a bit awkward between porcupine and her 😭😢. So theyr gradually stop being friends but I feel like yn would NOT do that she'd be acting normal while porcupine is all awkward and moody and angry whatever. And THIS IS WHERE OT GETS DELULU OK. Ok maybe not that delulu bit still.

THEN yn confronts porcupine because he's acting weirdly, even for him. And ofc she doesn't know why she's way too clueless 😮‍💨. And porcupine gets all angry because she doesn't realise why, and they get into a fight and stop being friends😭😭😭😭😭. BUT mermotionless BREAKUP for reasons I have not come up with yet and then ✨MERCUPINE✨

I feel like fan fic writers are always drastic in their sex scenes (most of them don't even make sense or are completely irrealistic, and that's my biggest pet peeve), to the point where they can't write a balanced scene, no, it always gotta be one character bruised, beaten up, screamingcryingthrowingup, and the other one the biggest sadist ever known to man. Like, I get it if it's someone's kink, but why are all Kaisagi fics like that? At least 90% of them?? (And why is Kaiser the sadist, when it obviously would be Isagi lol?) I've never read YOI fics but I'm fairly sure Viktor would be OOC in most of them. I can just sense it. They ABSOLUTELY represent the prototype of the ship that would be WILDLY misinterpreted. explain Danny phantom to someone who’s never seen it before?

uhhhhh so i can only talk about it as the most insane kinda fandom person because

i was obsessed with this show when it first aired when I was 8 years old. it was my first fandom. i read fanfic for it before i even knew what fanfic was. its HEAVILY tied to my nostalgia and I've been engaging with the fandom on/off for literally 19 years. at this point DP is in my DNA.

while it's not my main hyperfixation (thats undertale) its the one tag i visit regularly and the one fandom I'll jump to every few months and binge fics for. i don't even read UT fics anymore but the DP fandom is always doing something. its very active!

under the cut I talk about my thoughts on the show, the fandom and explain the premise. It's a wild ride.

TLDR; i have a lot of THOUGHTS on this show and i do not actually recommend it. MAYBE if you're curious explore the fandom and some fics but be careful about it, it's a bit gratuitous with its angst.

If you want a basic premise: local 14 year old accidentally lets loose hell but also has become part ghost. This kid can fit SO much trauma in him.

first off: I fucking love Danny Phantom.

And I'm going to spend the next two segments complaining about it. Feel free to skip if you're already aware of this /or don't wanna linger on it.

Second off: This show fucking sucks*

it has NOT aged well. it was created by an asshole who's got a long shitlist of things he's done and still does that's all terrible. i am not one to hate someone publicly unless its for something like this. Feel free to google what Bitch Fartman has done if you're curious but I'll warn you: he is a horrible person and he disgusts me. I only acknowlege him when its to mention how awful he is and how I do not want to support him.

This is not like with FNAF where supporting that franchise supports Scott. Danny Phantom first aired 19 years ago. The show was written, directed, and sure as hell animated by a team of professionals. It is not his sole creation. Studio Animation is not the sole work of an individual. I respect (most) animators and the hard work they've done and do. IIRC Shitfartman doesn't even have the rights to the IP anymore. I assume he gets residuals though. That said the only canonical piece of media we've gotten is a graphic novel that was released last month. Up until then, supporting DP was just not literally a thing you could do!

Its not just the creator who sucks. There's a lot of BS in the show too.

the show is very early 2000s (and even then thats no excuse) and it has a bingo card worth of shit in it. racism, bigotry, ableism! you name it. I do not condone and i do NOT recommend this show because of this! its horrible with what they did with this show and its shocking it was acceptable enough to put on TV. you literally can't do shit like that anymore.

I'm not going to go list every detail of every horrible, fucked up thing the show has done. The list is too long and I haven't watched the actual show in a few years now. by god, I know there is a list out there though.

Anyway outside of my obligatory "fuck this show actually" rant aside

i do love this show because it DOES have a lot of good and cool stuff outside that. but also. its so much wasted potential.

the core premise is:

Hey what if a pair of paranormal obsessed mad scientist parents punched a hole into the after life hell dimension- and what if their son was basically spiderman-ed about it?

And here's the core part of the premise: Danny only keeps his identity a secret to the humans. Ghosts learn like, pretty much straight away that he's a Halfa (half human, half ghost). He's if spiderman's worst fear wasn't the villains but if like. Aunt May was going to rip him apart.

Oh yeah that's. a thing. Danny's parents literally want to rip his ghost identity apart from, and I quote, "molecule to molecule."

For a an comedy-action show its WEIRDLY morbid and dark at times but then has the tonal whiplash to make you question what the fuck did they just do. How'd they do that and then not care they just wrote that in. Seriously. It'll just lore drop or hint to dark things and then brush it aside because it's main focus is comedy.

Anyway back to explaing what the show even is about. the show likes to say Danny got his DNA merged with ectoplasm but that's stupid af i'd rather say he died but only stayed half dead. He can transform between the two states: living and dead. But he's not just two halves that make a whole -the two sides blend together. He can use his ghost powers as a human -and early on he couldn't control them so he'd just. go intangible or invisible at the worst moments.

The show just. jumps right in. You don't get to see the accident outside the intro (at least until season 2 when they retcon some stuff) you just have it thrown into your lap. He has powers now. He sucks at it. Deal with it.

I think it's important to acknowledge that this show was written before Netflix did streaming. Before Plot heavy cartoons were a thing. (Not to say they didn't have reoccuring plot, it justw asn't the same thing as it is now.) You had to write the show with the limits of:

Comedy being a major focus

You have to write it with the expectation that anyone could jump in and (reasonably) understand most things going on. While there's some continuity and plot progression, the status quo is god.

because streaming wasn't a thing yet, you could only watch the show by jumping into whatever the fuck episode was playing. I doubt it played in order all the time. You just couldn't make a cartoon that had weeks upon weeks of plot developments and expect people to keep up.

The show is, in fact, meant for kids. While it does dive into some darker stuff (being ya know, a ghost show) its still going to be overly silly.

So while YEAH i'll complain about the very very shitty things the show did but I can't soley blame Fuckhateshitman for all of it. It's the restrictions it was made under + likely a lot more circumstances I don't understand. I am a hobbiest animator. I have no real world experience in the animation industry. I can critique the final product but I can never understand what shaped the cartoon. If shitheadmcgee wasn't involved and the studio gave the show more room + had you know, more POC and women on team + animation (even for kids) was respected more then who KNOWS what the show could of been! But like. its a 2000s show. It is what it is. I think the show has its good and bad and i'll harp a lot on the bad rn because I think its important to acknowledge especially to new people, but I do want to frame it by saying it really is the product of its time.

I want it to be better and I hope if it gets rebooted its better. We expect a lot more from cartoons now then we did then. (I know this was a long tangent + kinda over simplifying things but whatever, moving on.)

The (Ph)Fandom

19 years later and here we are. Enter the Phandom (called that before that phill and whoever used the term, idc i'm still going to use the term.) We, the fandom, almost completely just retconned the show's finale. (obviously SOME people still like it but its like. an incredibly small percentage) Like. we straight up pretend it didn't happen. i don't even want to get into it rn. It was SO BAD that the graphic novel that just released literally (spoilers) retconned everything about it aside from a ship pairing.

Anyway the Phandom- personally I think it goes a little TOO harsh in its angst. LIke, maybe a bit too much. But it DOES add nuance and explores the themes and lore that the show just flat out refused to engage with at all. It really digs into the premise of "hey wtf this 14 year is half dead. hello? hello??? thats fucked up.... lets explore that." and i'm here for it.

As long as its not like, masochistic and gratuitous for no real reason. 😬That is my biggest complaint with the fandom is that sometimes it goes over board.

But yeah outside of that, it can also be VERY silly so expect tonal whiplash here too! We got memes. We got fandom holidays and events. Whacky stuff.

OH AND OCs. We have fandom OCs like Wes. The best nonexistant character ever. Love that lil weirdo <3. His whole schtick was "What if Danny had another human villain? What if this random background classmate knew his secret and was trying to expose it?" and its spiraled from there. No one ever believes Wes and he's tortured by it. Some make him out to be a conspiracy nut while others make him more of a threat. (or a joke, as I do) Considering this show has a ghost-version of the Men in Black (Guys in White) conspiracy actually lines up accurately for what Wes does. And, you know. The Fenton's have a portal to the afterlife in their basement. Honestly pretty reasonable.

so like the fandom just kinda... picks and chooses the canon. It does have an edge of "we can do better" but in fairness, as I just discussed, there's an awareness that the version we make is not restricted by the environment the show was made under. I would hope most of the fandom understands this and doesn't say it in the sense of like "oh yeah I know better than professional writers and artists fuck the show 1000%" instead of acknowledging Yes He Fucking Sucks but its also more complicated. I don't want to foster an environment of superiority and disrespect to any media/creators (with exceptions ofc) cause. Jesus christ we live on the internet in 2023 you have to know why I feel this way by now.

Anyway with that in mind, I do think it's a positive thing! I mean, fuck, the show had no new content for almost 20 years I think its obvious by now we'd just make our own doll house out of it by now.

So yeah the Phandom is like this:

We're oddly consistent with the phandom lore we've built around from the canon's lore. We expand it, we make it more queer, we do our own thing. And I really enjoy it! I partake in it! It's pretty cool.

So while there's some merit to the OG show I would not recommend it on account of the amount of BS I mentioned at the start of the post. But I would recommend the fandom! As long as you got a strong black list with trigger warnings in place. Again, I think the fandom is a lil too gratuitous. But oh my god I love so much of what the fandom does. There's so many fics that just stick with me and (ha) haunt me. There's a reason I still come back after all these years. there are SO many good fics.

also the fandom got adopted by the DC fandom a year or two ago. personally i have to have like 80 tags blocked so i can even navigate the tag. Its not my thing but i'm happy people are having fun!!
