Alight, i'm a bit mad and we need to disguss something, so @f4iry-bell and me made some joke about Grayson being a virgin, since yk he never gets girl and he's just that type of person that would secretly being a virgin..BUT DAMN WHY ARE PEOPLE SO PRESEED??😭😭💀

I think i should take my words back about how i said that TIG fandom isn't toxic on this platform, bcs why are we so..idk..mad and frustrated by the fact that people are just having fun and headcanons? Bcs first it was Lyra, some of us were just exited that we were going to get a new character and potentially Grayson's love interested, so we just made some silly headcanons and fanfics about her, and some of y'all were prolly mad, i uderstand that you may don't like her, that's fine, since we don't know almost anything about her character, but we are you attacking someone who's just trying to have fun, saying "you shouldn't ship them" "i hate her" "y'all are delusional"...let people have fun, it's not that deep.

THEN when we started joking about Gray being a virgin, suddenly we're disrespecting author and invalaiding a book character's privacy?? BFFR..don't say things that doesn't make sense, first of all, people can post whatever they want, they can post fancasts, Fanfics, Silly hcs about idk..a book character's fav book, fav movie, what would dating them be like and even about sex life, bec guess what..we can. And it's not a crime to do so, we're not in 19th century to taboo this theme. And it's no disrespect to the author by the way, which if you look at JLB's intagram you'll understand, bec she says some "naughty" thing about the plot and the characters (and on last year's live she named condom brands each brothee would use and it was hilarious). Some of you are just dramatic, bec if we, TIG fandom are doing "too much" then you haven't been in many fandoms for sure.

And one again, i want to say that making a silly jokes about a book character's sex life, does no harm, nor to you, nor to the author, and especially it does no harm to the character themself, in this situation Grayson, because again, he's FICTIONAL. F-I-C-T-I-O-N-A-L. (i'll spelled it, in case you don't understand.)

Anyone in any fandom can freely talk about anything. And talking about character's sex life doesn't mean you have no respect for the author, unless they publiclly say it makes them uncomfortabe or something, and i don't remember JLB saying that.

And the most funny thing is that i've seen people make hcs about how each brother would be in the bad, how would they act when they're horny, their favourite position,nothing is wrong with them, but i've never seen anyone making drama about it, but when we say Grayson Hawthorne is a virgin suddenly some of you feel like we're disrespecting author...you know what? I have this tiny little feeling you find Grayson attractive but you don't like virgins and that's why you're making drama about it..and that's honestly..embarassing.

Author's always say "the other is up to your representation and imagination" and that's why we make HC, fanfics, fancasts, theories.

So please, don't make drama out of everything, learn to have fun and if you don't know how to, let people have fun

How she died/why the black family is hiding info about her: As mentioned in my previous post her mom doesn't like her and her mom is also Schizophrenic so she was in a episode and angry with Iris for mouthing off infront of voldemort so she stuck Iris's head in the bathtub and held her underwater (a usual punishment of hers) but she got a bit carried away and killed her she swore it was a accident when her husband found them so they staged it to look like she had been hit with avada kedavra and only the close family knew the truth and they buried it deep no one was even allowed to speak Iris's name.

Friends: all of the skittles, Arabella zabini (Blaise's mom) was one of her best friends, she was actually friends with Snape, Rabastan lestrange, and others.

Random lore: she would rank her family members with Regulus for fun her typical rank was Evan,Regulus,Bellatrix,Narcissa,Pandora,her dad,Sirius,Pandora and Evan's parents,Orion,Walburga and then in last place her mother.

She was supposed to be in married after Hogwarts graduation to Marcus nott (meaning she was almost Theodore Notts mother if she hadn't yk died).

She was around 17 when she died.

Iris and Sirius would talk about leaving together when they were left alone though she always knew her way out was marriage and he'd get out fighting tooth and nail but she was wrong her way out was death.

She was her parents last effort to produce an heir and her mother was very disappointed when she came out a girl (as she was with all her children).

Iris was top of her class in all her classes before her unfortunate death.

One of her favorite pastimes was to smoke in the greenhouse with Barty and Evan or Marcus.

Out of all of her friends only Regulus and Snape ever found out the truth of what happened to her. Regulus over heard a conversation between his mother and druella about it and Snape found out much later during the golden trio era when Narcissa was drunk and sad she told him her mother killed Iris and Snape said he figured that's what happened.

Iris closest non family member friends were Arabella,Barty,Dorcas,Marcus and Snape (I know we all hate him for being a weirdo so I can remove him from the equation but yk).

Arabella was driven insane not knowing what happened to Iris and not being allowed to talk about her (the black family is very threatening) she was lonely afterwards her only real friend remaining after everything was Marcus.

I think this is it for now however if we are interested in non canon/dead Iris Black then I will write a post about that.

Sorry to bring up the reboot again but wow this sucks. I’m trans and mostly close friends with other trans people I’ve had my friends ask me how I could continue to be a HP fan. And the main thing I’ve told them is that the Marauders fandom is very anti-JKR and, for better or worse, most people don’t engage with the original source material. I’ve always hoped that in the end she gets little to no financial support from this fandom and very little advertising either. People talking about the reboot was expected if not irritating, but seeing rumors of the two biggest fancasts getting casted in it is smth else. Like if that happens and ppl are right, i dont know if ill be able to stick around this fandom like wow maybe my friends were right

Ok, finally watched Deadpool and Wolverine. Thoughts:

spoilers ahead

Things I liked:

-Cavillrine. Wade should've name dropped "those shitfucks down the street" as warner bros execs specifically but I know it wasn't viable. Henry you're my true superman (and Geralt) forever.

-Hugh Jackman, obviously. He always puts his everything into this character and it's beautiful.

-Backstreet boys' Bye bye bye in the beginning (cheeky nod to Wade swinging both ways? Or all the ways actually)

-Soundtrack in general. I have the impression that they tried to use songs that were popular at the time the fox films they referenced were released and that was sweet. Pure nostalgia.

-Is it just me or the fights between Logan and Wade felt a lot bit homoerotic at times? Especially the car fight. Not just the coreography but like.. the camera slowly panning away while showing the car shaking up and down as the daylight fades? Like, damn. okay. I see what you did there..

That and the other little moments where they weren't fighting but were in close proximity/contact with each other bc reasons. Good job u guys. 10/10 👍🏼

-X23. I'd really like to see her back as the main timeline x23 but i don't trust Disney to not fuck this up.

-All the cameos really. Channing Tatum was avenged too by finally being able to play gambit which is good tho I wish he had the black and red eyes from the cartoons that would've been cool. But yeah he was really funny. (My fancast for main timeline Gambit is still Josh Hartnett tho, that being said Channing was still a good Remy)

-Cassandra was a nice surprise, I didn't know that character or the actress and she made a surprisingly fun creepy villain.

Things I didn't like or threw me off bc im too much of a nerd to not notice:

-Vanessa being fridged without actually being fridged. She was in this movie even less than in the movie where she got killed?Someone really "didn't want to share the spotlight" this time lol

-No but seriously, the reason they broke up wasn't clear/didn't make much sense to me, although I have to praise the acting. I think they just wanted an excuse to make Wade spiral again but they don't know what to do with a no-powers character in a superhero movie unless they're a male comic relief?

-The staples on the head gag. It was funny at first but. regenerative powers. His body should have pushed them out at most a couple seconds after, like it does with bullets. They could still have made a joke out of it.

-And I actually only realized this after watching the film but shouldn't Wolverine also not be able to get drunk bc of his powers? In Deadpool's game Wade can't get drunk bc of exactly bc of that and in Catfa Steve can't get drunk while mourning Bucky for the same reason. And I'm pretty sure his regenerative powers are pretty mild compared to Logan and Wade's.

-They missed a chance to throw in a zip it Mr Darcy. or Tom. Both would've worked. Personally I'm partial to Mr Darcy cause I'm a 2005 p&p stan and I haven't watched Succession yet but yk either would've been good.

-A lil peck between Yukio and Negasonic would've been nice 🥺

-Things I wished would've happened even though most of it can't bc Disney, but a girl can still daydream dammit:

-Domino. I miss her. Actually all the X-Force members that were missing except for the vanisher for obvious reasons. Fuck that guy. My hc is that Wade saved all of them anyway. Except for, again, the vanisher.

-The timelines get fixed to keep existing when their franchises die. They keep on going we just don't see them anymore. I think implying that they die when hollywood doesn't make movies about them/they are not canon anymore is dismissive of fanworks. The multiverse should be infinite and all the stories imagined about a character whether it's "canon" or not exist somewhere no matter how terrible or ridiculous or wonderful it is. We just so happen to get to see only a handful of them in live action.

-Karl Urban as an alternate Wolverine (he's my fancast for the main timeline logan).

-The fact that if Ben Affleck got a subtle jab, Brad Pitt should've gotten 2. Non subtle ones. At all. Idk about you but I think physical abuse is a liiil worse than cheating. Just saying.

-Vanessa having powers. Hear me out: I know that her powers in the comics are basically the same as Mystique's (she's even blue too) BUT they could've made her be like that chick from Heroes that could do anything she saw other people do just by watching them. I would've been different enough from Mystique AND it would've still made sense with her superhero name being Copycat.

-Vanessa and Wade being polyamorous too

Conclusion: I think I might prefer deadpool 2 a juust a tad bit but I still really liked this one :) . It's definitely much better than anything mcu has being releasing lately

ok I'm gonna start this with the disclaimer of "i know people are just doing this for fun and I'm not trying to shit on their parade" and yadda yadda yadda. but with that being Said, Arcane doesn't need a live action. the animation is one of the things that makes it good. but the Problem i have with all these fan castings is that they don't even make sense and people keep casting white actors for people like Caitlyn and Sevika, just throw any celebrity who has short hair for Vi, and practically any black actor they can think of for Mel and Ekko because apparently thinking of a good actor that'd fit them is hard.

for one, Caitlyn is wasian and Sevika is black so no casting a white woman doesn't work. i Get yall like Florence Pugh as White Widow but she would Not be a good fit for Vi and casting Kristen Stewart just cuz she has short hair and happens to be gay doesn't work either friends. just like Rhea Ripley wouldn't work for Sevika cuz yk she's a white woman. and let's be So for real no other actress would be able to play Jinx in the way that Ella Purnell does, like that woman won an award for a Reason.

like I said, if you're going to make a fancast video for funzies at least make it make sense or at the Very least not cast a white person for a person of color, ok?

i see a lot of people saying they like the plus size lily headcanon (which i too am obsessed with, literally cannot imagine her any other way) but don't like the additional headcanon that she's insecure about it and thought james was joking when he asked her out. which i absolutely get but like..

that's basically a canon event for a lot of fat people, myself included. very few people, especially in the 70s when bigotry and cruelty was so much more acceptable (still is now sadly but yk) go through life having no insecurity about their weight, and especially especially very few women. yes there should be representation of plus size people as confident and uncaring about how people view them, but as a teenager, that's really hard to do. of course she would feel uncomfortable around any attention if, as a fat person, the only attention you get as a child is when someone is making fun of you. that's not an exaggeration btw. (a lot of) skinny people will always find a way to make it known exactly how they feel about your body, and how much better they are than you for "taking better care of theirs." it's so disheartening.

so if you don't like this rare headcanon, my solution is headcanon other characters as fat and confident, because it's so counterproductive when people say they don't want her to think james is joking and so they make her skinny to erase that. if you're going to do that, there's a total of one plus size character (peter) and even then people will fancast him as skinny.

personally, i love plus size mary (popular and confident ☑️ angst relating to something other than weight ☑️ gets some ☑️) in addition to plus size lily <33

Idk on the fancasting thing i just idk bc like since its an x reader i feel like putting a face to m/c might take away from that or exclude other phenotype groups of readers but i totally see where the ideas from 😭😭😭 like its ur story and u can obviously do wtv u want w it but like that js my take yk i rlly dont wanna offend u or anything hopefulky i didnt misunderstand anythung😭

If it wasnt an x reader then that totally makes sense but since its an x reader it js feels off yk or like if the fancast isnt used to describe reader in the actual story then yeah thats totally diff too���

This argument comes up a lot but tbh- I think there is a middle ground between “I want to make this story projectable and readable for everyone” and recognizing that in order to tell a story that is as complex as BILY with so many sub plots you do need to characterize even a reader insert to an extent.

But from a practical standpoint, I write with a y/n character because its easier to blend the way I narrate because in a single chapter we get so many perspectives. It’s very atypical and unusual (even in fan fiction) to write the way I do. I think the stories that I write are such a blend of personal stories, fantasy, and fan fiction that I’m not really interested in keeping the m/c perfectly blank in my own mind. She’d be really hard to write if I couldn’t at least picture her body- and even that isn’t the same on everybody you know? How do you imagine someone might love you if you can’t picture what their hand might look like with yours you know? I’ve touched on this before- especially when it comes to the m/c’s physical height and size. There are certain topics that necessitate a less projectable m/c.

I think considering the x reader genre as any one thing or exclusive of certain styles of writing might be too restrictive. The genre doesn’t need to be so narrow! X reader stories with a more built main characters are just as much x reader as others just done in different ways.

Also if it wasn’t clear- everything that I write outside of chaptered content is just a headcanon and is not canon- even if it comes from me- asks have a separation from the main canon of the story, none of it is like- totally verified unless it’s a question asked to clarify. This is just for fun! Our version of the m/c’s are equally valid! Just because I’m the writer doesn’t make my fan-cast any more /mc/ than any of yours!

all of love in unity is outlined before they are written, for example, but something like swing my way is just something i go for 😅 sometimes i'll add a comment section at the top to write down ideas for plot and dialogue to remember, but that's about it!

Is your OC a hugger or do they not like that sort of affection? Do they initiate a hug or get roped into them?

It isn't that Kisa isn't a touchy person, its just sometimes he gets so distracted that being touched spooks him. But in general he runs warm so he's often sought out for hugs, which he doesn't mind! He tends to hug with his 'human' arm though cause hes afraid of squeezing too tight if he uses both arms.

Does your OC have any endearing qualities?

Kisa does what he says he'll do. That is both endearing and TERRIFYING but yk. But also he sticks his tongue out a lil when he concentrates and his ears will twitch and if that ain't endearing then idk.

How does your OC react to affectionate gestures?

"Oh aren't you a sweetheart!" with a bit of a suspicious tone if he isn't particularly close to the person. "Thank you.. This means a lot to me." when its somebody he's closer to.

Modern? sour patch kids, iirc they're vegetarian? but he doesn't eat a lot of candies or traditional sweets in canon. He loves fruity desserts though.

Galin and Inessa know his coffee and tea order the best. Lucille probably knows his favourite hot chocolate recipe though.

Lies in lol.. Most Razvedka members don't get up before noon - 1500. He's usually awake by ten but doesn't get up until 11 or so.

if he forgets to take his arm off kisa will wake up fully tangled in the sheets, if he remembers to take it off he's usually pretty still in his sleep.

YES, HE LOVES CUDDLES. again, pls remind him to take his arm off though. he'll be the little spoon or big spoon depending on what Luci is feeling, but they do have to sleep a certain way if he's the big spoon for uh.. obvious reasons. lmao.

i dont think you should listen to jason when he says things on either end of the scale of like. grandiosity im gonna be a better batman/obviously i came back to do what batman won't, or on the other end where hes very purposely fancast himself as the villain of the story. not only does he swing between extremes he is just. rarely willing or able to face what exactly he wants so he lies to himself and makes up motivations when. at the core of it its that he cares and hes hurt. like hes not a reliable narrator.

and youve got the loneliness and the self defeating/self fulfilling prophecy (like if you think im so awful i might as well be), deliberate self-isolation and... yk countdown isnt serious but Jason shoots donna with Bob the monitors ray gun to fake her death to get the bad guys of the week off their asses, and after thats revealed she's like the next words outta your mouth better be donna im sorry, and of course he never apologizes bc he doesn't actually think she means it or that an apology would matter so! why bother! why bother.

and i just keep thinking about in the arc in robin immediately after countdown where tim winds up getting his mantle-stealin pawsies on the red robin suit and. the point where jason entreats tim to work with him tim says no n jasons like

i still have very little interest in pretending bftc happened as-written and i haven't even reread morrisons jay yet bc i hate it and do not want to. but y'know something happened in that whole time period and jason whiplashing back to Behaviors after a real or perceived rejection to something he may or may not have done is. pretty much how hes been operating and so far post resurrection the sum total of people who have been to any degree in his corner have been. talia (and like. he shoots her son in bftc), donna (.....see above......), and tim when he breaks jason out of prison. the next issue after that (robin 183) has jason in the cave listening to the message bruce left him that prompts him to immediately afterwards (like after robin. in bftc) steal a batsuit and go on a murder spree that tim blames himself for (red robin... in the first couple issues... not looking it up 👍)
