Even though I loved the writing of LoL Jayvik I really appreciate that Arcane is going for a different approach so far, makes things feel less predictable! Instead of ideological differences driving the divide between them it is more so that they are just... out of sync so far?? I mean, during last season Viktor even before his diagnosis was eagerly meddling with the Hexcore with little regard to safety, then straight up went for the illicit and damaging drug to facilitate the transformation process, then when he ran out of that drug he proceeded to try using Hexcore without it (when he already TESTED that on plants and should have known it would backfire) which killed Sky... At which point he went oh shit, ok, I should stop meddling with this thing and just die peacefully maybe. It's not very clear how much of that he told Jayce aside from making him promise to destroy the Hexcore, but Jayce's surprised reaction in s2 when hearing about Sky makes me think it wasn't much at all...? So Jayce doesn't feel as much of an asshole for, once again, going against Viktor's explicit wishes. He pretty much never has the full picture before being forced to make a decision! Idk it makes him very sympathetic to me ngl, just feeling more and more guilt but continuing to fuck up due to lack of knowledge and experience, is that not relatable? And aside from being entirely unprepared for Viktor's death even after s1 I think it's like Jinx says in this Act too, it was something he could fix for once... Perhaps this is why he agrees to the use of Hextech weapons, too, feeling like it's the only thing he can do to 'help' the people he cares about and protect himself too (I guess killing just 1 defenseless child wasn't enough of a learning moment for him lmao). Despite again, this going very much against Viktor's wishes (and Mel's!! we didn't get her with Jayce after this but I imagine she's not very happy with him either... Viktor&Mel team up when). This time Jayce is the one just going for it and hoping for the best despite knowing very little of how it works. I also love how a lot of us in the fandom and also Singed in the series assumed Jayce would be appalled by Viktor's experiments but instead... he immediately goes even further :D And when Viktor wakes up and goes bye Jayce is like ?? but then by the end of the next episode he starts to realise that ohh alright so maybe yeah they should have stopped... Who'd have thunk. I'm not super up to date with League lore but is it really that difficult to find a sane mage for consultation purposes? ...Also I really doubt that hitting that thing (wild rune?) with his hextech-powered hammer was a good move lmao and yet even in this it seems similar to what Viktor is currently doing. Both continue to use the arcane to try and fix things, Jayce through violence and Viktor through transmutation, but it kind of seems like the same kind of mistake. (they are just pretty bad scientists and always have been and i love that for them lmao)

Some predictions for S7

It seems some people are concerned about Rayla and Callum being separated for half the season when I honestly don't think that will be the case. They have never been separated more than two episodes, you could say "well it could happen now!" but I doubt they would do that in the same season we will fully see them together for the first time.

Now some proof or my own guesses to favour this:

In this screenshot Rayla isn't with Callum, she could be out of frame but I don't think so.

I'm guessing he went ahead since maybe Rayla's wings weren't working anymore (they said they didnt't last forever if I remember correctly)

Look how sad he looks, he has no gf to cheer him up over Katolis' destruction.

Now, we see Rayla and Ronaldo standing up in front of the Banterlodge, why are they here? I think Callum told them to meet there since it's a place both him and Rayla know.

Why is she in attack mode?

Looking at the trees it seems Ezran, Aanya and the animals seem to be around the banterlodge. Maybe Rayla sees the katolians coming or Ezran asking Corvus and Soren to arrest Raul and she gets defensive ofc, tho it doesn't seem to be an overly agressive stance.

We have confirmation that Callum and Ezran will have a conflict and Ezran is gonna be mad about Runaan, so maybe Callum defends Runaan here and confesses that he is the one who fred him, making the brothers fight. An upset Callum then leaves with Rancher and Rayla.

My guesses are, Callum and Rayla separate in episode 1 and reunite in late episode 2 or early episode 3 (they tend to "meet" in the second episode lol) maybe ep 2 ends with them meeting and the cliffhanger of Ezran finding out about Ronald.

Callum, Rayla and Richard arrive at the Silvergroove (perhaps is on episode 3 to parallel season 3) we get the Ruthari reunion and Rayla's trial in the same episode, a confirmed to be a very emotional episode.

The place Rayla is having her trial on seems to be the lottus pond thing, we only see her, The Keeper (I didn't know moonshadows could have beards okay dude) and the ghosts of the deceased assassins. I'm guessing she will have to be forgiven by them to be accepted back on The Silvergroove and she will need a lot of emotional support, I don't see why Callum wouldn't be there since he was there when she found out about her ghosting so he being there when she gets unghosted makes all the sense.

Callum, Stella and the other ones are out of frame probably watching this, unless this is another place where they aren't allowed.

I wouldn't be suprised if Rayla doesn't want to go with the trial at all but we get a little callback to this with Callum saying something similar, maybe even more agressive this time.

Now onto the next clue, this oopsie leaked scene by the animation company:

I'm fully convinced this is a rayllum scene, it screams romance with the flowers and singing baitlings "oh it could be ruthari!" yeah? maybe? but let's look at the clues shall we:

Stella is there, Stella is always with Rayla

Callum and Rayla love adoraburrs

Sneezles is there, Sneezles is always with Callum

There are two lovebirds and Rayllum tends to attract animals (very disney princess/prince if you ask me)

The baitlings are singing, screams Rayllum corniness (kiss the girl!)

Rayla and Callum have something going on with boats

Maybe Callum and Rayla decided to take the rest of the baitlings with them to the Silvergroove (for some reason)

Maybe this scene isn't before the mid season at all and it's at the end! but for now I choose to believe it's kind of the calm before the storm scene. Maybe Rayla and Callum are celebrating her unghosting, before Aaravos starts fcking shit up and they have to leave and go back to Ezran. I don't think this will happen in the way to The Silvergroove because 1) third wheeling Runaan would be uncomfortable and I don't think Callum would prepare this at all in the way unless he wanted to annoy him hard idk 2) Rayla and Callum didn't need to cross water to arrive at TS the first time.

I'm choosing also not to believe this is at the end because them leaving The Silvergroove mid season for them to come back at the end wouldn't make much sense to me unless they are getting married right in this scene mostly because I don't think Rayla and Callum will choose to live in there, at least for now, and this will be the end of the arc not the series so yeah, they could be visiting tho and this could be a chilling ending scene.

In a summary, I don't think rayllum will be separated for a lot of episodes and Callum is totally going to The Shitlvergroove maybe they will get separated again when she gets kidnapped

I've seen a lot of theories on who the murderer is in TAoM (CHECK IT OUT IF YOU HAVENT ITS ONLY AN EP LONG BUT ITS SOO GOOD) but I've not seen one on Winn yet which surprises me because she was the first one I thought of.

1. First of I find it real strange that she didn't notice OC was missing when she woke up? I get that she was startled by being covered in water but her page is right next to OCs, you're telling me when she woke up she didn't even register the ripped page?? This is probably my biggest reason, the page being ripped seems to be a really big deal to all the characters so surely Winn would've made a big deal of it once she woke up.

2. Also, I hate to be that person but she was the first one to start pointing fingers. Instead of assuming something else she accused Albie seemingly out of nowhere? (Ive watched the episode a few times and i dont know why she immediately accused Albie? I get she was first to agree with Giogno but they all did so it cant be that)

3. Then there's the conversation we first here when they wake up

"So you're saying you just woke up like that?"

"Yeah what the fluff is this wet stuff"

From this conversation alone I think it's safe to say Winn woke up first (or second), if Albie did I think she would've seen Winn wake up and therefore wouldn't have asked that initial question. (For the record this is assuming she saw Winn wake up). From the sounds of this conversation anyone would assume Albie was either second or last to wake up, I'm betting on last because it makes the most sense that Winn wakes up first, then Souske and finally Albie. It also seems like Winn is typically the first to wake up as she awoke at 12:01 the first night so safe to assume she's usually first or second awake.

4. I haven't seen many people address this but there's also the possibility they didn't wake up dirty, we can see that they move around the room whilst Pip is asleep so it's plausible that the murderer could've woken up ripped the page out and whilst disposing of it they got covered in dirt or water, the dirt option seem less plausible because that would mean they left the room (its mud sooo) leaving Winn as the only option

Anyways thats just one of my many theories, i think it could genuinely been any of them (might start making cases for all of them lol been a while since ive gotten back into murder mystery) or Pip ripping it out, bullies ect (those just seem a bit too predictable to me). There no way of telling at this point all the characters are a bit too sus so we're just gonna have to keep speculating whilst waiting for the next sketchbook!

DRDT EP 13/14 ANALYSIS/THEORIES

I said I'd do this once I collected my thoughts! haha Warning! This is super long…

To start, I'm going to pick apart all the stuff I predicted for ep. 13 (I'll try not to make it too long…)

Levi's Secret

Well. Levi sure did admit to. All that! I think this eliminates any last doubts I personally had about him being the killer… (your honor just because I'm a serial killer doesn't mean I killed that specific person /ref) I really like that he isn't shown as a bad person just because he lacks empathy, and he's actually actively trying to be a good person… the fact that he just admitted his secret because he thought it was the right thing to do is so funny though, there go all my theories lol! (I'm still a little worried about rule 14 though…)

Ace's (Almost) Murder

Yeah!! This is probably what we're gonna spend episode 14 talking about, with murder method and alibis, etc. I still don't think it was Nico though! (I want to say I called that it'd be relevant, but it felt a little obvious…)

The Murder Method

I think we can say this has been all figured out, with the method being exactly what several people much smarter than me all figured out.

The Possible Culprits

Rose was still acting a little odd, but I think Whit on the other hand, despite whatever all that was, is off the hook for now, so my number 1 suspect is still Hu! I'm like 90% sure she was the one who tried to kill Ace, at least, and that's become very important now!

Secrets

Well, we got all the secrets figured out! (Hu :( ) The fandom interpretation was pretty much correct, except for Teruko's (we'll get to that later…) I do hope that after this trial, some of the secrets that are not relevant/haven't really been discussed do get adressed, because I could even see them becoming motives for murder again. But also, I just want the characters to talk about them! (gimme that juicy juicy angst…)

Ace

He didn't re-open his injury or really freak out like I expected, but we got some vulnerability (and a new sprite!) from Ace, and considering next episode is probably gonna focus a ton on him, I'm still expecting at least one of the two to happen…

Teruko

Luckily for Teruko, we didn't have anything unlucky happen to her this episode! But she sure did get her time in the protag spotlight anyway, I'm glad she didn't let the mistake from last episode get her down!

Final Arei Flashback

Whoooah boy was that scene a doozy. I'm starting to think David's murderous rage towards the blackened at the start of the trial was genuine, because me too, man. I'm really glad Arei got at least a little bit of closure before she died, though! She also had an interesting take on the "good person" role, something that has been very important to this trial thus far and will likely continue to be. (I'm thinking that the killer may have had a "good person"-related motivation for killing, which is why it's the chapter's overarching theme?)

Also, to adress the elephant in the room… EDEN??? Well, no wonder Xander "didn't expect her to attack [him] like that" - and from her expression I wonder if she expected it either - I'm really looking forward to learning more about what, exactly, happened before the killing game that involved them! I didn't really believe in Mastermind!Eden before this, but it's starting to look pretty plausible... (Also Xander is the king of haunting the narrative oh my god lol)

Teruko's Secret

Many of us, myself included, were hoping/guessing/assuming that when all the secrets were figured out, David would reveal that he actually had Teruko's, not Xander's. While that didn't happen, the way he reacted after she claimed "her" secret essentially confirms it, as does a lot of other evidence:

That secret being hers would complete a secret circle of Teruko -> Rose -> Whit -> David -> Teruko and a secret pair of Xander <--> Min, which makes sense considering all other secret swaps are either circles of four or in pairs.

Xander and Min would have each other's secrets logically since neither of them can receive secrets, so theirs would probably be separated from the rest.

MonoTV's line about not knowing whether they're all correct feels like a reminder/a hint that some of the secrets are incorrect, and those two feel like the most likely options.

Teruko apparently has no idea which secret is actually hers, so may have just guessed the one that sounded more like her, except we know she never knew her parents and only had one sibling (as does Charles… I wonder if he'll notice)

EDIT: I cant believe I almost forgot, but I feel like David’s attitude towards Xander (and Teruko) makes more sense with these secrets, because why would he idolize Xander if the killing game was his fault, but he would idolize him if he thought Xander was trying to end the killing game by killing Teruko, the person David now thinks/knows is at fault.

However, since David didn't claim out loud that Teruko was lying, it's likely that this piece of information will become relevant much later in the series, and he'll be keeping it to himself for now.

Veronika and Hu

When did Veronika and Hu make their pact? And how did Hu, presumably the one who wanted to make the pact, know that Veronika had her secret? Also, what on earth do you mean, Veronika, that your secret isn't the worst thing you've done???? This little section with the two of them could just be entirely innocent and a way for the dev to get the rest of the secrets on the board, and let Veronika be a little unhinged as she tends to be, but I get the feeling at least some of this is relevant. (I'm betting on either Accomplice!Veronika or Veronika's actual "worst thing" being important to a later trial…)

David

Ohhhhh, David. I feel like Veronika with how much I want to psychoalanize this guy. He is on the verge of a breakdown, and I can feel it! The question being, of course, whether Arei's death was enough to make it happen this chapter, or whether this is something that's gonna last another chapter or two before coming to a head. My money's on the second option, because I think this trial is about to be about Ace and his impending breakdown :)

I do hope after this trial we do get to see a little more of what David's actually like beyond his facades/the roles he's been playing! Also, as much as I'd like to see David survive and have to deal with the consequences of revealing his "true" personality on live television, I think it's more likely he'll go the way of DR antags trying to end the killing game via self-sacrifice.

(We also better keep a close eye on anyone who tries to befriend or help David in Ch3, because they're gonna die next! /j)

J's Morality

This is a short one, but I just wanted to comment on another analysis I saw point out that J has been one of the most vocal people anytime murder has been brought up. I think that behind her rougher personality, J is a more empathetic person, and/or has very strong morals, making her a narrative foil to Levi now, so I do hope the two of them interact in Ch3!

Being serious though, I saw someone else bring up that his mother might have died by hanging and he researched it afterwards as a coping mechanism or something? Even though I still don't think it was Nico (crime scene makes more sense if seen as Nico trying to help Ace, they may have just admitted to it because it was the less confrontational option, next ep is def not the last one and I think it'll be about proving who it was other than Nico, and if you look at Nico's secret quote…) I still do hope they get the chance to get mad! Well, after that episode 6 I was like "screw it!". Any predictions doesn't work with P'Aof trying to kill us all with unpredictable scenes. I wanted to apologize for my previous prediction and found a way for it: a new bunch of shots from behind the scenes for next episodes!

And why I'm douting timing? Because it seems after that unbelievably beautiful rooftop scene Mhok is going to drive Day back home to give him another hangover pill or whatever you call it (save Day's liver!) first.

Maybe the most exciting part of the preview for me is these two sitting together in a car talking about feelings! But do you know why Mhok is smiling on another shots from this scene?..

Because he's trying to fasten a belt for Day and Day's panicking being completely aware of how it feels to have Mhok's face and hands and everything really close! Finally some hidden cuteness and not hidden angst!

eight predictions for eight episodes

while I'm sure I'll be wrong about everything (and am looking forward to finding out all the delightful ways in which I am wrong about everything) here are my predictions for Our Flag Means Death S2.

The wedding crashing scene from the teaser is the first scene that Ed will appear in.

The contents of the auxiliary closet are still there and are still secret (where else will Ed do his Sad Girl Shit?).

Stede and Ed see each other again for the first time at the end of the third episode, mirroring S1.

At some point there will be a wild, raucous party at Spanish Jackie's and everyone will wake up hungover the next day.

Ed being super depressed and going through the motions in his Kraken era leads to him making a mistake (or leaving Izzy in charge, which is also a mistake lol) and sailing the ship into a storm, where Ed gets washed overboard.

Ed's going to work through some shit via ghost conversations just like Stede did in season one - that person he's shooting at in the woods is a ghost.

Izzy gets a Vegeta-style redemption arc ("I still hate all of you and will absolutely fight you to the death, but first we need to fight this other guy, I GUESS, wait hang on wtf is a found family--") (note to people who watched SU: yeah this is also the Peridot redemption arc lmao).

This shot is from someone telling Stede about all the stuff Ed's been up to, like Pete's story in S1E2.

I'd love to see other people's predictions! I tried to stick to things that will either happen or not, because falsifiable hypotheses are just sexier.

I Can't Keep Forgiving You  Callie & Arizona (Grey's Anatomy)

"Calliope Iphigenia Torres!" Arizona's voice sounded calm, but dripped with accusation. "You wanna tell me what's happening here?"

Callie's hand froze mid-air, a popcorn kernel halfway to her mouth. She looked at Arizona like a deer caught in headlights. "Uhm… watching TV?"

"TV, huh?!" As she slowly walked into the room, Arizona pointed at the screen, her eyes speaking volumes. "You're watching Lost. Which we were supposed to watch together. Together, Callie! As we planned for tonight."

Swallowing hard, Callie quickly hit the pause button. "Okay, okay," she surrendered, "Look, it's not what it looks like—"

"Oh, really?" Arizona cut her off, her hands now planted on her hips. "Because what it looks like is you watching our show without me. Again."

Arizona's outburst made Callie scoot to the far end of the couch, hugging the popcorn bowl like it might protect her.

"It's not like I planned this! The DVD was already in there. Cristina must have watched it. So it just started when I turned it on. The TV, not the DVD!" she rambled, "You know how it is. As soon as you're on that island, you just can't... get off."

"But it's the third time in like a week!" Arizona exclaimed, throwing her hands up in frustration. "Cal, I can't keep forgiving you for this!"

"I'm sorry, I know!" Callie acknowledged, looking genuinely distraught. "I swear, it wasn't intentional. It's just… you weren't here yet, and the curiosity got to me!"

"Curiosity?" Arizona's jaw dropped. "The curiosity got to you?"

Callie shrugged. "Well, yeah. Mark went on about it all day. Kept teasing about some Kate and Juliet stuff that's coming up. Apparently they—"

"No, no, no, no!" Arizona cried out, covering her ears. "I've not been avoiding spoilers for weeks to— wait, what? Kate and Juliet?! In like... a gay way!?"

Setting the popcorn aside, Callie suggestively wiggled her brows. "Maybe." She moved closer again, though still somewhat warily. "I mean, so far I've only seen fist fights and handcuffs, but hey, they've got to start somewhere."

Arizona stared at her, frozen almost, caught in a sudden dilemma: to keep fighting... or to start watching?

"Come on," Callie went on slyly, offering her best sheepish grin. "It's still date night... isn't it?"

Arizona groaned, then collapsed onto the couch next to her, grabbing the remote to restart the episode. "I hope you realize these two are saving your ass right now."

"Oh, I'm very aware." Wrapping an arm around her girlfriend, Callie chuckled. "So… forgiveness?" When Arizona remained quiet, she pulled a pleading face even Puss in Boots couldn't match - and not without effect.

With a snort, Arizona shook her head. "All right. But for the last time!" She pulled the bowl towards her, about to stuff her mouth with a handful of popcorn. "I mean it, if you ever pull this on me again, you'll wish you were on that island!"

Still holding her tight, Callie pecked Arizona's temple. "Deal," she grinned, followed by another kiss, this one close to her ear. "But just so you know, I already do," she continued in a low voice. "I'd go there any time - as long as it's with you. And some handcuffs…"

It would be hilarious if starscream got a redemption arc in season 2c. Honestly it seems that shows being made faster and released in batches all at once makes fans really impatient and quick to complain about what they "should have" done. If earrhspark had weekly episodes I don't think this problem would be nearly as bad because fans would have time to like, digest episodes one at a time

I didn't see a significant number of people who were furious or despairing because they thought the Chaos Terrans were permanently dead revising their opinion of the series when that was shown to not be the case and they were brought back and had a major role, so I sadly don't think something like this happening would improve most people's opinions of the show. But in terms of something that would be really funny that I kind of want to happen out of spite...? Oh yeah XD

Something I like about Earthspark is that I've never been able to easily predict what things will happen in future episodes beyond broad strokes (like my assumption currently is that the next batches will show Cybertron and the state of the War, but I really have no clue otherwise). When it comes to Starscream, my biggest hope is that we get to see him and Izzy interact or see more parallels between the two of them. I'd like to see more insight into what contributes to the two of them acting against their own interests. I think something important about these characters is that they are complex and do care about other people... but it's not necessarily in the way other people do and they prioritize other things over those bonds even if that's actually self-defeating. Like, Izzy really did not want to kill Robby... but factors in her life were making her feel like she was going to have to. And Starscream could have just chosen to not sour his relationship with the other Decepticons... but something causes power to cloud his judgment.

I haven't thought about what a Starscream redemption story would look like in a long time. Across series, there are a lot of things that usually contribute to Starscream being villainous, some that are harder to address than others. Not being confident in himself, being used to violence and exploitation, having delusions of grandeur, just plain enjoying hurting people, hating boredom, feeling afraid... these are just some things that often contribute to why he's like that. One thing I do want to say is that I can imagine Starscream working on himself and becoming a happier, more self-assured person, with strong bonds... who still has an outlook many people would call immoral and has those bonds with other evil people lol I think a story about Starscream becoming a better person is an interesting idea, but it would probably take a lot of time and focus and series like Earthspark where he's a minor character (where he was only a villain for a relatively small amount of screen time in the first place) may not be the best place for that.

Leland's parents died due to tragic carriage accident (didn't a carriage accident happen more than once? Tho I can't remember to who besides Leland's parents)

His best friend, Jack, didn't arrive to Leland's parents' funeral, which is the moment he needed him the most (not Jack's fault though, since he was literally stranded in an island)

Leland obviously has a little crush on Jack, which is why it hurts him when he found out Jack brought Leelathae to Pastel Kingdom (again, not Jack's fault). I think this is where he jealousy starts, the point where Leland thinks he has to be better at every love things than Jack.

He overheard Jack saying he didn't need him, which is probably the nail in the coffin for Leland. I mean that monologue Leland has? That's kinda internal mental breakdown right there. (I gotta say, this scenario is kindaaa similar to Gwen overhearing Frederick calls her ugly. I wouldn't say it's the exact same thing of course. It's just the overhearing that makes it similar)

So! Looking at these 4 reasons, it is highly likely that Leland has some problems (no shit sherlock). HEAR ME OUT. I don't know what it is yet. I was thinking of abandonment issues, but I have yet to read much about it, so i'm not sure yet.

The fact that I am happy that Earth finally reunited and THEM! they all reunited. But to be honest I was expecting more from Venus and Mars on Earth, Man☹️ But anyway, I have high hopes for them to be friends again and for Mars to become Earth's best friend once more. Peak is back... I already had high expectations from seeing the staff but the episode was even better than what I was waiting for. Getting this right after WanPre really puts into perspective how weak it was, oofies. But yeah, animation was good, especially all of Uta's goofy expressions and she was a very fun MC too, she's very cute and funny. Kinda sucks that we have an annoying fairy mascot again but I'll take it in exchange for the rest, like the return of actual fighting and real villains Both the OP and ED are great but the ED is especially good. The transformation is also very good and I like that the finisher attack is her singing to the MOTW, which I predicted a while ago lol. Will be very much looking forward to this every week, it's the combination of two things I love and the staff is good so I know they'll cook Also, I was hoping for some senpai characters to be the mid season cure(s) but we already have the leaks for them and I'm not a big fan but oh well, we'll see how they actually handle it in the show

Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms Ep4

You know I thought we were gonna have the same dynamic for the whole show but it's good to see that the author thought of that and changed things up eventually. It hadn't started bothering me as much as it did to the characters yet but I could see it getting old in 2 or 3 more eps. I didn't expect to get a shift like that so I look forward to see where they'll go with it. I haven't talked about this show since ep 1 but it's been pretty enjoyable so far

I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time Ep4

Is it just me or did this ep feel a lot like a finale, instead of just ep 4? Like she went into a dungeon on her own to save someone, revealed her identity (even if it was covered up afterwards) and even ackowneldged adventurers despite the many gripes she has with them. Hell, even the last scene and line before the ED started felt like something you'd see in a finale. Really curious to see where it's going from here. Are we getting more action? More slife of life, and maybe even romance? I certainly don't know anymore. From the episode title it sounds like the next one is gonna be a slice of life ep about the healer but I also didn't expect to see so much action in this show past the first ep, so we'll see I guess

Pokemon Horizons Ep82

This isn't the end of this "season" yet but it sure felt like it. They even played the opening over the last sequence lol, so I'll take the chance to talk about it now. I like it a lot more than the previous one. Probably because we got a lot more plot episodes so it felt like stuff was actually happening instead of whole months of slice of life stuff. Not that the gym leader stuff wasn't cool, but one of the best parts about the new anime, to me, is the fact that it's free of the gym format that always loomed over Ash and the previous seasons. We're reaching the final stages of the main plot that's been set up for a long long time and I don't see what they could do after that. Would they go back and do the rest of the gyms they didn't showcase? Maybe the anime will end and we'll get another one to tie in with AZ which comes out this year? Who knows, but I personally don't see how they could continue after wrapping up the plot, despite how much I discuss about the possibilities, but we'll see eventually I guess

Embers Ch1

In case you didn't know, I'm from somewhere where football is the dominant sport. Hell I even played myself in a club and everything. And while I don't watch matches, unless they happened to be on tv at dinner or if it's a big deal Euro or WC match, I still enjoy the sport can appreciate good play. While growing up I also watched a lot of football anime cause we got a lot of them on tv, since it's such a big deal here. Captain Tsubasa, Inazuma Eleven, Whistle, Giant Killing and prob even more than I'm forgetting rn. This is all to say that I'm pretty biased towards the sport lol. I usually enjoy sports series cause they can be pretty hype and hotblooded if done right, but football ones just do it even more for me. No, I haven't read/watched Blue Lock yet but I 200% should I know. Funnily enough the artist for that was an assitant for BL But anyway, enough rambling. Depiste all my bias described above I still think that was a great first chapter. It's a solid setup with a overconfident guy getting humbled and learning the sport out of spite only to end up actually loving it. We only got two real characters at the moment, the classic hard working tenacious MC and the naturally talented rival that they chase after. We also got the staple of any sports series worth their salt, the cute club managers and they were indeed cute and provided nice commentary. It was surprising to actually get a "full" match in the first chap but it was a bold move to use the extra pages for it. It's only been the one chap so we'll see how it goes in the next handful but I could see this series having legs to stick around for a while. I'm hoping it does at least

Hakutaku Ch18 (Finale)

One more series for the U19 club. I don't have much to say about it really. Just like the score, it was just average. I was going between 4 and 5 and still wasn't sure after finishing. But it was decent all the way through and I've seen plenty worse get cancelled as well (or last even longer) so I leaned more towards 5. I can totally understand why it would get axed, it's just not a great fit for the magazine, but it had it's fun moments. Better luck next time to the author

Livio was a pivotal character in my absolute favourite episodes in Tristamp. Episodes 5-7 is one of the most breathtaking things I’ve seen in anime in a while. It’s not often you see such *strong* visual storytelling and show not tell in an anime, the BEAUTIFUL score and sound design, and seeing the tragedy of the blessing children, with the wonderfully done 2d animation, having one of the best action sequences in the season (Vash vs Livio), and how meaningful every moment was and how it aids in seeing the character’s motivations (especially Wolfwood). I could go on.

The found family between Livio and Wolfwood got to me. YES I KNOW. IM PREDICTABLE. Their moments, both in their backstory and when Wolfwood wakes him up...was so warm and tender it was unbelievable. How gentle they were as children, vs how the Eye of Michael made them to be now. Man that hurt. Also the bit in their childhood friendship montage including bonding by trying to smoke worm legs was INCREDIBLY FUNNY

And on that note. I think part of why love Livio is also because episode 7 was one of the FUNNIEST viewing experiences of anything in my LIFE. So story time I was watching this show for the first time with my older sister and mom, and when Vash was telling Wolfwood that in order to save Livio he needed to Make him remember (“There has to be something he cant forget") I joked offhandedly "lol wolfwood revives livio with weed" and then??? half a minute later THEY ACTUALLY WENT THERE?2?1?1?1?11?1?11?? WOLFWOOD ACTUALLY LEGITIMATELY REVIVED LIVIO WITH THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP AND WEED AND WE WERE LOSING OUR SHITS AND SCREAMINGGGG and then right after that Livio [REDACTED]s and then we were like

4. DVDJDBDJDJDKDJDKDFHKDDK but anyway yeah like, conceptually the episodes Livio in was RIDICULOUS but bro. I am UTTERLYYY OBSESSED with how they Made made it work???? So well??? Somehow those were the moments hit hardest emotionally for me. It was so, SO good.

5. Also Tristamp Livio relatable to me on an insanely specific level….like can’t move on from the best friend you made before you were 12 who had to leave from life circumstances, whose name also starts with “Nico” specific? Yeah me too Livio

6. And finally just. Knowing that Livio has SO MUCH MORE going for him in the source material? I haven’t read the manga yet but I’m so unbelievably excited to see more of this character, be it in Trimax or the next season of Tristamp. I love him and Razlo’s design and he intrigues me greatly from what I’ve seen and heard from manga readers. I’m vibrating at the idea of seeing him rigged up and animated in his full buff cowboy glory
