Okay now that the Ithaca livesteam I'd out and I've listened to Would You Fall In Love With Me Again wayyy to many times I've got two reasons on why I think Odys mad When penelope tells him to move their bed

1. He thinks she doesn't believe it's him, like a lot of people I've seen I think Ody believes that Penelope is trying to check if it's really him or some imposter instead of trying to tell him he's still her husband. He's tired, slain all those suitors and just had a reunion with his son it feels reasonable to assume he's bad an desperately trying to prove he is the real Odysseus not some imposter

2. Removing the bed could be interpreted as throwing away their marriage like it was nothing, physically uprooting that bed kinda seems like she's trying to erase their marriage from existence, like not only would she be unable to love him again, she can't even believe she ever married him, that he truly was a monster. (I dont believe this as much but ehh). Its obvious he knew she was waiting for him and so she still cared about him but her asking him to take the bed far away from here kinda sounds like she's asking him to leave again and, really, if I was in Odys shoes and I've been fighting for 20 years just to keep my wife and son safe and one of the first things she says to me is to leave again, to erase the most important thing in our lives and toss it out like it meant nothing, like our marriage meant nothing? Yeah I'd be pretty pissed to.

It also makes it hit so much harder for him when he realises she actually just proving his still her husband that even of he's become a monster, to her he will always be her husband (he will always be a man in her eyes). It makes him realise exactly who he was fighting for, that it wasn't all pointless, that it was worth fighting that maybe just maybe his actions could be justified in someone's eyes, that he was human to someone, to her.

I MADE IT BACK HOME DURING THE VENGENCE SAGA (Right after love in paradise) YESSSS

It was magnificent the art and animations are gorgeous but what really got me was the casts reaction during I can't help but wonder and Would You Fall In Love With Me Again I began crying, which is strange cause I don't cry easily but man this got me emotional

I've been into epic since the song snippets luck runs out snippet is what got me into it actually so seeing it through has been absolutely glorious I'm so proud of the cast and Jorge Thank you all so so so much (ik theyll probably never see it but i do owe it to them), like from the bottom of my heart thank you, this has been the best Christmas gift and you've made my life so much brighter with you're shenanigans I'm so so so happy to be apart of this fandom and I can't wait to see what next. ❤️

A Brief Rundown of the IRL Ithaca Saga (to the best of my memory, in probably not chronological order)

jorge (creator, odysseus) decided it'll be cool to celebrate the ithaca saga with the epic cast via a trip to ithaca, greece

surely nothing can go wrong

mico (telemachus) seemingly found out about the trip with the rest of the fandom. he proceeded to plot a trip to ithaca

the epic cast dealt with multiple broken vans and missed a ferry by one minute. they had to cancel a stream because they were too exhausted

mico made it onto a plane

ithaca got hit by a typhoon, forcing them to move another stream indoors

mico got banned from tiktok. it was reversed

mason (tireseas) asked luke (zeus) to stop the rain. luke refused

the crew hiked up to odysseus' palace. they ran into a roadblock. mason looked into the future and did not see a way around it. (they found a way around it)

the crew found a well and sang their epic songs into it. except jp (crew) who just sang happy birthday

janani (aphrodite) also sang "royal we" into the well

anna (penelope) made it onto the plane to fly out to ithaca

hermes (troy) decided to take a plane to ithaca like a normal human instead of teleporting. he got side-eyed by a woman at the airport as he slept sprawled out in a chair. this quickly became a meme

hermes arrived in ithaca to the delight of everyone except jorge. mico also appeared in his videos. mico still had not updated anything after getting on the plane

anna's connecting flight got cancelled, leaving her stranded in a fancy hotel. she struggled to find the toilet in her hotel room

mico finally updated, claiming he was stuck in munich. mason appears in the video and gives him a water bottle, proving he is lying

the fandom believes mico anyway

mico is forced to post another video revealing he had been gaslighting us basically the entire time and was just delayed in getting to ithaca, that was all

troy and talya (circe), in character, talk about tea. troy says the tea tastes like her father's approval. earle (ares) then asks for 1000 cups and breaks down crying as luke cuts the camera

jorge posts a video apologizing for mico's absence, encouraging him to fly to ithaca, new york. mico appears in the background of this video

mico posts a video saying that he's finally in ithaca, but the crew is in ithaca, new york. jorge appears in the background of this video

jp films a behind the scenes video, calling out "some random guy" who just showed up asking if anyone knows jorge. it's mico

janani sings "royal we" again, but after she says "troy was breached" troy comes out screaming in pain. mico appears in the background of this, filming the video from two points above

it's time for the ithaca saga livestream... except it gets cancelled because the connection is bad and jorge's devices are dying

TL;DR: the gods saw the epic crew in ithaca and went "do you guys think it'll be really funny if we just. recreated the odyssey"

One thing I have yet to see people mention, Odysseus and Athenas conversation.

The show yourself, a call back to their first meeting. Already had my heart shattered. Broken like wow okay damn wasn't expecting that.

Then the fact she tries to empathise with him has learnt that open arms is a good thing, that was so sweet had me in tears. But Odysseus' response that's what gets me, the fact that he doesn't entirely reject the idea, he still hold polites' ideology close to his heart but he knows that it won't work for him. Its not the right time, he can't wait and take a chance allowing others to hurt the people he holds dear, not again, not when they're the only things he has left.

Ody telling Athena that she'll be able to make that world true. That idea Polites had, while it's not possible for him yo live that life, one day it might be possible for others.

Yeah that convo had me in tears. It hit REALLY fucken hard

okay initial thoughts are all about parallels because what’s a life. At some point big bad suitor said strike and it just felt 600 strike esqe, no proof, no analysis, no consequences just vibes. Odysseus paralleling survive so hard with the arrow shots and just the massacre of people, Odysseus was successful and Polyphemus was not. Don’t know what that means. Again all I got is vibes right now yall. Hold them down gives me super bad vibes gross gross gross but like I think there was an Athena melody playing when Telemachus got a little cameo so that’s cool. I need so much more time to emotionally process what happened with I Can’t Help But Wonder and Would You Fall In Love With Again. Like I need so many minutes. Athena and Odysseus ruin just- I don’t want to talk about it okay(I really really do)
