Sweet and sad headcanon: Willow, as she is really young and growing up and only beginning to make sense of the family she has that has passed and when her mother talks about Prim, she whole heartedly believes she has an older sister who no longer is around.

She is too young yet to understand but the way Katniss talks about her, with such love and care, the only thing she can compare it to is how her mother loves her. Any pictures of Prim show a blond hair, blue eyed girl it's easily to believe is related to her Daddy. So it just makes sense to her 2 or 3 year old brain that she was her sister.

This goes on for a bit until she decides she wants to make a drawing of her sister and present it to mommy, and draws her whole family with Primrose amongst her namesake flowers in the front of her house, labeled with the word 'sister' in soft baby blue above her. Proudly presenting it to her parents.

Katniss, try as she might, has to hand her off to Peeta and go into the forest for the night. Peeta explains, as gently as he can, that Mommy is not mad or upset at her, she is just missing Primrose.

It's hard on her, when Katniss comes back and they sit her down and explain. That Primrose wasn't really her sister, though her Mommy cared about and loved her a lot. That instead, she is her Aunt, and has passed away a long time ago.

But she can't shake how similar the love she sees her mother still have for Primrose. When Rye comes, though she loves her brother to the moon and back, she can't say it's the same. She eventually comes to remember Primrose as her sister eventually, after hearing the story of her parents Games and the Rebellion. It connects them, the similar way they are loved by Katniss. And though they may not be sisters by blood, they are in that way.

Sydney blinked at the baby, the newest Berzatto. Of course Syd had been around Willow, thought she was cute and sweet, but it was always with you or Carmen around. Never alone. That was Tina's thing, maybe even Marcus', not Sydney's. She didn't know what to do with a baby, what to do if she started crying.

Thankfully, Willow seemed content, sucking on her pacifier and giving Sydney a wide eyed gaze back at her.

"Uh, hey, Willow." Sydney said, voice lilting just a tad in a cringe high octave. She shook her head, moving back to the prep, eyes flicking from the baby back to the onions.

Willow started to whimper, a huff of a whine that had Sydney's spine straightening. Fuck, where was Carmen? Or you?

"Hey, uh, no, no, no, don't cry." Sydney pleaded. Willow seemed to relax at her voice.

Sydney briefly recalled Carmen telling Tina and Richie that Willow really liked watching him cook. Liked when he explained the recipes to her, like she understood. That you'd tease him lightly, but she loved it.

Sydney took a deep breath in, lifting up the knife. Just talk to her like you would the chefs who shadowed.

"Um, so I'm prepping the vegetables." Sydney started, feeling a little awkward, a little silly. "We're doing the chaos menu tonight, and that has this lamb sirloin type thing, and we let it marinate in a stock." Sydney's eyes flashed to Willow, who watched her contently, eyes still bright and wide, focused on her.

"Hopefully it will be good, because sometimes I let it soak too long and Carmen- your dad, gets kinda mad. Not mad, I guess, more like frustrated? I dunno, lamb's difficult, ya know? Tender so you've got to be careful with it because it absorbs-"

Willow's tiny gurgle cut Sydney off. A happy giggle around her pacifier that turned to a coo, legs kicking out in excitement.

Sydney paused, grinning gently back at the baby. "Yeah, well, I mean, it is exciting. You're right. It's cool because we got the rainbow chard in, and I'm going to make this take on collard greens out of it to pair with it. I hope it pairs good. It did when I tried it the other day." Sydney smiled when Willow laughed, a baby cackle that had her laughing too.

"You like that? Well, you probably like hearing about it, but I don't think you'd like to eat it... Maybe? I dunno, do you eat foods like that or is it still like sweet potatoes and mashed peas?" Sydney hummed, cutting the onions quickly.

"She's gotten more adventurous, but still a few more weeks until she could have the chard." You hum from the doorway, beaming with the baby bag over your shoulder.

Sydney flushed in embarrassment. "Hey, I, uh, I just... Carmen put her in here, and-and she started crying so-"

You shook your head lightly, walking over to Willow's carrier. "She liked watching you cook. I swear, she's her Daddy's child. Looks just like him too. Like, how's that fair?" You snorted lightly, fingertip tracing down the slope of Willow's nose- Carmen's nose.

"Thanks for watching her, Syd." You smiled softly. "She likes you, ya know?"

"She is." You nod. "Can you believe her and Teddy are related?" You snort lightly.

Sydney laughs, shaking her head. Teddy was not allowed in the kitchen, not since she snatched Carmen's knife and chased Richie. Truthfully, Sydney was rooting for her and thought the timeout Carmen gave her was unfair.

"No, I mean... they're both good kids, ya know?" Sydney shrugged lightly.

"Yeah, they are." You hum lovingly, cooing gently down at Willow. "I'll take her to Carm's office, but thank you-"

"-Oh, you know, you can just leave her here with me if you want." Sydney offered. Your brows shot up in surprise, and truthfully, Sydney was surprised herself. "I mean, if you have something to do. I know you've gotta place the orders and stuff, so I can watch her while you do that."

"Yeah, no problem. I was just explaining lamb." Sydney joked. "It's kinda therapeutic, really."

You were in your swimsuit in the lake with your friends. “Hey Willow do you think we should try the rope swing?” You ask one of your friends. “Yea we should if we want to get there before the boys do.” Willow chuckles. “The boys are slowly making their way over here Y/n so we should probably get to the rope swing now if we want to use it.” Your friend Navina chimes in. “Yea let’s go!” you say as you and your friends start to swim over to the rope swing. You were the first to use the rope swing. Your friends went after you. Soon the boys caught up. One boy named Hyunjin started hitting on your friend Willow. You decided to step in because Willow was getting uncomfortable, “Oi back off of my friend. We got here first so do something else until we are done here.” You tell Hyunjin. He scoffs at you and says, “doesn’t matter if you got here first. We are all camping together so it’s a shared effort.” Navina walks up to you guys and says, “Hyunjin just back off.” Hyunjin’s friends walk up to you and your friends. There were 8 boys while there were only you and your four friends. Hyunjin’s friend Lee Know says, “let’s have a competition and whoever wins gets to use the rope swing for however long they want.” Your friend Dolma says, “that’s a good idea” the rest of your friends agree. That’s how your situation with Han Jisung started.

You and Jisung were the last on the dock waiting for one of the others to get to the rope swing first then back to the dock. “Do you really think your group will win cutie?” Han said to you. “I know my group will win. We’ve beaten your group at school before Jisung.” You say rolling your eyes. “Y/n your team doesn’t always win. You’ve lost about 5 times to my group in different things. So why even try to compete with us?” Jisung says mockingly. You just roll your eyes and not reply. “Aw is my cutie mad?” Jisung says with a smile. “I’m not mad and I’m not your cutie.” You say getting annoyed with him. “Look I’ll tell my guys that we should go explore the woods. You want to beat Jisung in a way because whenever you go up against him in anything solo he always beats you but flirts with you. It causes you to have a crush on him but also hate him. Your friends can beat him but you haven’t. So this is your chance to beat him you thought. So you want to take it. Navina is the first one to reach the dock again with Lee Know shortly behind her. Once they reach the dock you give Navina a high five and then wait for Jisung to take position to race you. Han stands next to you and Lee Know says, “ Three… Two… one.., go!!” And you dived and so did Han. You started to swim as fast at you could. Han was close behind you the whole time but you managed to beat him. When you reached the dock before him you noticed that he’s struggling to get back due to getting exhausted and you chuckled. You were never going to let him forget that you beat him. “Han is so slow.” You say to your friend Misan. “He’s not always slow. I guess swimming is his weakness” Misan says to you. “He’s not slow he’s just getting tired.” Han’s friend Chan said. Han reached the dock finally and gets up onto the dock. “Well y/n I admit you were right your team won.” Han said with a chuckle. “I told you so.” You say back yo him proudly. “Well I guess me and the boys will be in the woods. Don’t be afraid to call for us if you need help cutie” Jisung says before his friends and him walk off.

Time passes and your family and Jisung’s family are gathered around the fire sitting and chatting and cooking food. Your friends Dolma, Willow, and Misan sit by the fire chatting with Jisung’s friend Chan, Seungmin, Changbin, Hyunjin, and Jeongin. You are in a field near the fire but by the tree line with Navina, Felix, Lee Know, and Jisung. You and Navina were laughing and giggling while trying to catch fireflies so you can take pictures of them. Felix and Lee Know are also catching fireflies, while Jisung is just standing there admiring you. He finds you very attractive. He loves your laugh, your smile, and your attitude. He was infatuated with you. “Lee Know there’s a Firefly to your left” you say giggling while Lee Know is having a hard time even catching one firefly. You weren’t paying attention and bumped into Han because you were too busy laughing at Lee know. Han catches you as you bump into him “be careful where you are walking lovely” he says to you. “Thanks Jisung for making sure I don’t fall” you say then go back to catching fireflies. You notice your friend Navina getting more closer to Lee Know like in a romantic way. You always shipped then since they have had a crush on each other for a while. “Lee Know just make a move on her already” you tell Lee Know. Lee Know eventually takes Navina off somewhere and you just assume they are doing things together. You and Felix catch more fireflies and finally go back to camp where everyone is including Lee Know and Navina. Han follows you and Felix back to the camp. Everyone is around the fire. Felix goes and sits next to Changbin and Han sits next to Lee Know and Navina. You decide to go into your tent that’s a bit farther from the camping area since you wanted to be away from all the loud commotion so that if you wanted piece and quite you could. You went into your tent and changed your clothes into something a bit more warmer.

You finish changing and head back to camp not having any place to sit. Han noticed there weren’t any spots open for you and signaled you to his lap. You walk up to him, “There’s an empty seat right here” he spoke, tapping his thigh. You crossed your arms and looked around noticing everyone else is engaged in different activities. After some hesitation you moved closer to him. “Can’t you just move over?” You asked. “But where’s the fun in that.” He said with a slight smirk. You gave up and finally sat in his lap. His hands slowly circled your waist as he leaned his head on your shoulder. “Hey don’t do that. my parents will think we are dating” you whisper. “I can be your boyfriend” he said so effortlessly but with so much love behind it. You finally get the idea that he’s hitting on you and you say, “ Are you hitting on me?” “I’ve been hitting on you all day. Thanks for finally noticing.” He says with a chuckle. “You could’ve straight up asked me instead of hitting on me. I’m a very slow person when it comes to things like this Jisung.” You tell him. “I know y:n. It’s been obvious all day.” He said sighing. “So what do you say? Aiden is the son of a chief/king? He wants to grow up and be as revered as his father. His friend of childhood is from a rival place and his name is Dante.

Aiden is trans and his dad doesnt really have faith but thanks to his mom and Frank (who he meets as a kid) he gets trained up and finally accepted in to the army.

Aiden and Dante find out their homes are at war and are like “nooo dont fight haha” and their parents are like “yea? Political marriage” and theyre like “shit”

So they become engaged, Dante has a small crush on Aiden so hes not that mad, Aiden doesnt want it. Their parents still plan to fight but in a backstab way.

Dad needs a right hand man, doesnt choose Aiden, chooses his rival but soon to be best friend (I dont have a name yet for them).

They go to war, Aidens dad tells him “lol go kill Dante while I kill the dad” Aiden gets told by deity same thing. To kill Dante or blood will be shed from his home. Aiden is about to, cant go through with it. Dante doesnt know.

They still win the battle, marriage is obviously called off. Aidens dad gets help from a witch to head home while Aiden meets Barnaby and gets help handling the witch (her name is Willow).

Dad and Frank get into an argument lmao. Frank is like “I pseudo raised your kid” and dad is like “nuh uh” dad does NOT know hes arguing with a deity. Aiden adult at this point.

Aiden meets Wally. Wally meets his parents and they bond a bit before he leaves after I think a week? Month? Dont remember. Aiden is big sad, bro misses him even tho he almost killed him.

Mom proud of the warrior Aiden became.

Another battle at war. Aiden is finally given the chance to lead a team. Blinds Dantes brother who is a tyrant. Frank and Aiden argue about leaving the guy alive.

Aiden meets Cloud god (lmao)

Dantes dad kills Aidens dad. Best friend saves the remaining crew by getting them tf out of there. They also found out Dantes brother was also killed but Aiden doesnt know if that was his fault.

Aiden meets Mathew after going through Eddies sacred lands or spirits and memory. Finds out mom died too. Aiden says fuck it Im going to be brutal with everyone.

Kills Dantes dad.

Taking care of Camila , his lil sis, and meets Wally again. Lovey lovey again.

LORE TIME BITCHES

So willow is just some 7ft tall forest woman idk how she got there I haven't gotten that far yet. She lives alone and has for as long as she can remember and can't speak English nor really communicate in general due to the fact that she never needed to (also her vocal chords are blocked by the mushroom thing I'll get to in a min so she can't make sound in the first place) but she is still very clever. In the human au I made with my friend she went to like Oxford or Cambridge or smth idk but ANYWAYS thing with willow is she is immortal BUT she has a disease that causes mushrooms to grow in and on her body, which will one day kill her. She has a few hundred years before this happens tho so she's fine for now since she's only in the early stages but for now it causes pain and also means that she is blind in her right eye since a mushroom grew there. But anyways willow is very jumpy and timid like she is CONSTANTLY anxious. She is pretty lonely and also loves snails because they are the onely things she could pick up and take around with her that wouldn't run away or bite her. She is also not very strong because she doesn't have the guts to kill anything and eat it so survives off of nuts and berries meaning she's kinda malnourished

SECONDLY termite so termite is less fleshed out because it hasn't existed for as long (I've had willow for YEARS) but it is this like 4"10 creature thing. It has roughly the intelligence level of a border collie and has also, like willow, lived alone it's whole life. It's also like fucking rabid it survives solely off of meat and could kill a village in cold blood. Now you might be wondering "how it's like 8 years old" WELL it can kinda transform into this much stronger being if it's trying to kill smth big. I have a drawing of this but I haven't posted it I will when I'm finished :3 but in this form it has quadriplegic legs and claws and spidery legs on its back which it uses to tear apart prey plus a tail with a spike on the end which it can stab things with. Like it is fucking terrifying. Also the lil green thing gleeb is a weird lil alien thing termite adopted :3 because termite saw it and was like "hold on a second that thing doesn't look edible and also doesn't look like it's from earth. Twinningggg mine now bitch" and adopted it. Gleeb isn't very intelligent. It can recognise termite and follow it around but other than that it kinda just exists and doesn't do much.

So termite and willow do meet eachother at some point because termite was injured or smth I haven't decided that yet and willow was like "shit something that isn't a small mammal or an insect this is groundbreaking" and took it in. They are cutie patooties :3 neither of them really know how to deal with other beings so their relationship is kinda unnatural but they like eachother. But like for example termite would bite willow affectionately and then nearly bite her arm off. It doesn't help that neither of them can really communicate as termite just isn't intelligent enough to really and willow can't speak at all but a lot of how they communicate is through clapping and other things like that. In the aforementioned human au willow adopts termite and termite has some kind of learning disability that I will research and name ✨later✨.

The thing is willow and termite have such good potential for angst because willow will end up succumbing to the mushroom disease and termite will have no idea why its only carer is dying and isn't able to do anything about it but watch her slowly waste away. Y'all watched ep1 of sweet tooth??? Or when the wind blows??? Yea that kinda thing. And termite would likely just sit next to willows body like a dog sitting near it's owners grave waiting for her to wake up. But you know what we can ignore that and just look at the sweet nice family fluff parts :3

As for willow and termites environment uhm uh. Minecraft. Like they literally live in the world of minecraft. Termite got it's clothes through Minecraft achievements.

oh thank you so much!!! all of their scents are subtly included, but some are more obvious than others for sure. here's a little break down of all our main characters and their scent notes, but as a note.... scents change a bit depending on who's breathing it in and scents change with emotions or biological shifts. i include some thoughts about that below too! --

reader: chamomile tea, willow sap, & honey; when reader is in heat or aroused, the honey scent is much stronger, and when she's feeling really upbeat, joyful, there's hints of clean lemon zest. the willow is subtle, but a little sharp in it's medicinal almost wintergreen scent, it's one of those smells that you either love or you hate, but mingi and yunho both love.* when she's afraid, her scent turns bitter like over-steeped tea. if reader were to be pregnant, her scent would turn a little milkier, like tea with sweet cream and honey. yunho: rain / wet earth, cedar, & clarysage; when yunho is trying to comfort reader or draw her in with his scent, it's much more of a true petrichor / wet earth scent. when he's aroused or in a rut the cedar is stronger and more masculine, but underneath both of those tones is a bit of a sweeter/herbal tone with the sage. to reader, his scent really pulls like a comforting childhood memory that makes her feel safe and secure. mingi: dark chocolate, cinnamon & pink peppercorn; when mingi is angry, aroused, or in a heightened emotional state the cinnamon really shines for him, but when he's in a calmer or comforting state it's more chocolate and cocoa. the pink peppercorn is something that is only really caught when you're close, something undefinable that enhances the sweetness and the spice, but is undeniably mingi. seonghwa: freshly brewed coffee, jasmine, & pear; seonghwa to me lives in a beautiful space between masculine and feminine energy and his alpha scent is reflective of that. warm and strong coffee is ever present, but jasmine really comes forwards with those he's comfortable with or aroused by. pear is sweeter and more decadent and comes to the front when he's with san especially. san: jasmine, sandalwood, & oakmoss; san and seonghwa's scents are intentionally complimentary, but san's scent undertones are more masculine and 'alpha' like compared to his jasmine top note. he's floral and fresh, bright and energizing, but a scent that deepens in masculine complexity the closer you are to him. when he's comfortable and relaxed, the warmth and natural notes of oakmoss are more present. wooyoung: linen, salt, & green apple; wooyoung's scent is fresh and bright, evoking something clean and summery. when he's in heat, the apple scent turns a bit caramelized and sweet, but normally his scent is more even and calming with the linen and salt being forward in tone. to reader, his scent also calls to mind a memory more than distinct scents, and she and others often associate his unique blend with the last days of summer sun in august.

*note on reader's scent: admittedly, my inspiration for reader's scent was directly taken from one of my favorite books, a discovery of witches by deborah harkness. the full quote is below because i think it's so lovely and this line often gets stuck in my head:

"You smell of willow sap. And chamomile that has been crushed underfoot. There's honeysuckle and fallen oak leaves, too, along with witch hazel blooming and the first narcissus of spring. And ancient things - horehound, frankincense, lady's mantle. Scents I thought I'd forgotten."
