We don't know, but I may have a headcanon involving that one SMRPG character who is totally (in canon!) a collector of retro toys.

I like to imagine Geno was recalled by the Mushroom Kingdom for being too dangerous for children. But has that ever stopped Hinopio (Cinder Toad) before? Heck no! He lives in a volcano, for pete's sake, and if the pencil pushers have something to say about it, they're welcome to visit. They can pry his limited edition Shooting Star Shot out of his hot dead fingers.

On the other hand... ... ...there's a super cute inkeeper way down south near the forest, and her son's birthday is coming up.

"SWEET!"

The exclamation echoed back and forth through the inner walls of Barrel Volcano.

With a crash, the sooty wooden lid of a shipping crate landed on top of a pile of a dozen others. Then a crowbar clanged to the rough stone floor.

At the top step of the sturdy stepladder beside it, a sturdy Toad dug into the very last shipping crate left. Shaking a small box free of the curly wood shavings of its padding, he grinned.

"Knew I still had one of the good ones," said Hinopio to himself.

He tucked the little blue box carefully under his arm, climbed halfway down, and hopped the rest of the distance to the floor, whistling.

The box landed on his shop desk with a satisfying thunk. "You're one of the good ones, all right," Hinopio grunted with approval. "None of this cheap plastic … actually gonna work…"

Wiping his brow, he left it there a moment and cleaned up his mess, malleting each lid back down onto its crate and lugging them all back to their organized shelves and stacks. Finally, he carefully returned his precious retro jet figurines to their proud little display. He took a moment to arrange them just right, admiring their gleam in the volcano's ever-present ruddy glow, and flicked a flake of ash from the middle one's fuselage. "They sure don't make 'em like they used to, do they, Blue Falcon?"

Hinopio made his way back to his shop desk, a rough thing made of more crates. Producing a red grease pencil from his tool belt, he retrieved a blank postcard with a picture of a volcano on it from an overflowing box on his desk. He bent over it, writing.

Hinopio's pencil stopped. He stared down at the postcard for some time.

With a sigh of exasperation, he pulled out a fresh one to start over. In an all-too-practiced movement, he snatched up the nearly-finished postcard and shuffled toward the little lava pit that served as his combination-stove-and-trash-can.

"Good thing I rarely sell any of you," he said to the postcard, lowering his round black safety glasses and holding it over the burbling little caldera. "Go on, join your siblings…"

But he didn't drop it in. He watched the words go shiny as they melted a little deeper into the cardstock.

Setting his jaw, he turned back to his desk. "Today. Today's the day. I'm gonna do this!"

Hinopio picked up the pencil again. "You're not gonna be awkward." He sank down onto his stool, his tool belt drumming a mocking rimshot against the metal of the seat. "You're not gonna make this... awkward..."

His eyes flicked to the lava pit again. To the postcard again. Back and forth.

Finally, he clunked his elbows onto his desk and buried his face in his hands. "This is gonna be what ends me," he groaned. "I wish I could just say it!"

The stone walls offered an echo of his last few words, but no further help.

On the bright side, at least that meant Hinopio hadn't gone nuts yet.

Undertale x Deltarune Theory: Frisk Is The One Opening Up The Dark Fountains.

 this is both a theory and a fan headcanon, not everyone has to agree with this theory but it makes sense if the Geno Route in Undertale is the True Timeline.

we know we share control of Frisk’s body, possibly with Frisk who was possibly not as sweet as they appear.

I also believe that Frisk, might be the True Fallen Human, not Chara.

plus it might be possible that there were two human children that the King and Queen adopted, one being Chara and the other being Frisk.

Frisk might of not been their originally name, and their name could of been Kris which makes them the counterpart of the Kris from Deltarune.

we might have the choices to either be neutral, pacifist or no mercy in Undertale....

but that doesn’t mean Frisk will be all Pacifist, it is possible that when the Player does decide to give the Red Soul to Chara, they are also given away Frisk.

and Chara might of given the Red Soul, to the unknown Voice that we end up seeing in the opening of Deltarune when we are going to make a vessel.

the Red Soul that is pulled out of Kris��s body, might be the Red Soul that is suppose to be the Player’s Proxy-Soul, and could very well be Frisk’s Soul.

but it is possible that Frisk’s Soul had been in Kris’s body for a very long time before the Player started to play Deltarune.

the Proxy-Soul we have, might be Kris’s soul or the fusion soul of Chara and Asriel from Undertale.

 we know that Kris might seem like they are the one pulling out their soul but it might turn out it is someone else who is doing this, and that someone else might be Frisk.

why would the naming the Fallen Human, Frisk, tell us that if we do so, it will make our lives heck, and have the words proceed...?

and even have the words proceed show up again, when we go down the Snowgrave Route in Deltarune...?

and why would Frisk’s name still be on the Save, when we choose a different name and if we save on the place where Frisk’s name was, it will replace it with the new name.

it’s possible that even if we do choose the True Pacifist, and we leave the game...Frisk could in theory, continue the Resets and the No Mercy and Geno-Runs.

I believe that when we finish playing or like take a break from playing it, Frisk will take full control of their body and goes on a Geno-Run.

the other thing I believe could be true, is that before the Player comes into the picture, Flowey did have the Reset button, but it was stolen by Frisk.

Frisk might of had and still might have, The Plunder Ability.

it doesn’t copy the ability and magic of a Human and Monster, it takes it.

the reason why Flowey loses the power of Reset, is because Frisk used the Plunder Ability, and could of taken the abilities of the other human souls.

it is possible that if we do get the True Happy Ending, it might cause the human bodies in the basement, to come back to life with their souls back in their bodies.

if we choose to walk around before leaving the underground, and we go to the basement, we will see that all the coffins are open.

it’s possible that if Frisk did get as far as the castle before the Player comes around, and did face King Asgore, and the containers with the souls appeared, the abilities of the souls might of been in the souls, and Frisk might of used their plunder skill on them.

the abilities that the souls had left (that Frisk didn’t use their plunder skill on), appear during the fight with Omega-Flowey.

even if it might seems like the Player was the original one who was making Kris’s life miserable, but it might of been Frisk.

we know that Kris, or maybe Frisk controlling them, had been known to pull dark pranks, and at some point they got bored with the dark pranks and decided to do more, like opening other worlds by making dark fountains appear in the light world.

I don’t think Kris is the one opening the dark fountains, it is what is controlling their body that isn’t the Player.

we know that Kris did eat the Pie, but I believe that before they did that, they had sneaked out of the house and broke into the library and made a dark fountain in the computer room, then they went back home and ate the pie.

well more accurately, it was the one who was controlling Kris that wasn’t the Player, and might of been Frisk. 

we know that we aren’t the only ones who can take control of Kris, and there is another Anomaly besides the Player that can do so, and that Anomaly might be Frisk, who’s soul was taken from the Undertale World to the Deltarune World.

but this only happens in the Geno Timeline, if the Player and Frisk fully finishes it.

and even if we do a Pacifist Run and then play Deltarune, that True Timeline of the Geno Route could still exist in the Deltarune World, when a version of Frisk’s Soul will still end up being thrown into the Deltarune World and being placed in Kris’s body, before the Player plays Deltarune.

Sans and his brother, might of been from a world that came before Undertale and Deltarune, and the Sans we see in Deltarune, might be the version of Sans that came from one of the Geno Timelines.

the differences being, is that his brother is still alive and he was able to escape with his little brother to the other world that is known as Deltarune.

 if Gaster can shape shift, he might take the appearance of Sans in Undertale, and even if we do see Sans in most of our journey through the underground, it might be possible that half of those interactions might be with Gaster who takes on the appearance of Sans.

Frisk, might of been a Time Traveler and the whole “Reflection” we see in the True Lab in that room with the flowers, might not be a reflection at all and might be Frisk, before they went back in time and they could be the version that might never do so, while the Frisk that is the Playable Character in Undertale, will always go back in time and use the plunder ability to take Flowey’s power to Reset.

it’s possible that after Flowey tells us to let Frisk live a happy life, and we close the game, the Reset power might go back to Flowey.

there can be two powers of Resets, one that belongs to the Player and the other that originally belong to Flowey, before Frisk used the plunder skill to take it away from Flowey.

there are secrets in both Undertale and Deltarune, and only some fan theories prove to be canon, and even some accidental predictions that had to do with Kris eating the whole freaking pie, which is but one of a few best accidental predictions for Deltarune.

even if the names Frisk and Chara could be used to name the vessel in Deltarune, both do not give the same reactions when we name the vessel Susie or the creator being called Susie.

this might be because both Frisk and Chara don’t exist in Deltarune, and or weren’t born in that world and so the Voice that is speaking to the Player, only has some knowledge and they might not know about Frisk or Chara.

even if I might not be able to play the next new chapters of Deltarune right away, you know once the other chapters are released...

I can always watch the walkthroughs of the chapters, and I can only hope that the new chapters will be added on the Deltarune that is on Nintendo Switch,

so far I’m okay with Chapters 1 & 2 on there, but I will be really happy if I find a surprise update where the other Chapters are added on the Nintendo Switch version of Deltarune.

anyway we know that most versions of Frisk in the Fanon and different Undertale AU, they are sweet and kind.

but that might not be true for their main timeline self.

one of my theories about Frisk, is that they have the Plunder Ability, which they used on Flowey.

the new theory, is that the one who pulls out the red soul from Kris’s body and makes Kris open up the dark fountain, is in fact Frisk.

 not all theories have to be correct, but it is just a possibility that Frisk might be the one pulling out the red soul and even going as far as slashing tires and opening up portals and dark fountains.

I think I will talk more about the theory about Frisk being the one opening the dark fountains by using Kris’s body, another time...

maybe tomorrow or in a few days....

it’s okay that not everyone agrees with the theory, that Frisk is the one who is controlling Kris when the Player isn’t and even causing Kris to open up the portals and even the dark fountains in the places in Hometown.

maybe in my next post I will talk about a FNAF theory, but I think I will save that for later, like maybe for tomorrow or whenever...

A theory about Saitama's powers

Tbh, I've always thought the physics behind Saitama's feats doesn't make much sense. Most of the time, I've handwaved it by artistic license/rule of cool, or that it's depicted and intended to be a gag, but with 166 and so on, I don't that's actually the case. And we did kinda get hints of that early on. And the reason why we don't fully understand it because I don't think Saitama fully realizes the sheer extent of his powers himself. Heck, I'm pretty sure the guy still believes he got strong bc of his workout, and he honestly doesn't know enough to give a different answer. I propose that Saitama's actual power isn't overwhelming strength or speed.

It's bending reality.

I think he deploys it rather subconsciously, and to an extent, he does have some? Kind of awareness that what he Desires To Be, It Will Be fuelled greatly by how strong his willpower is. It only gets trumped hy someone of equal or stronger willpower. So what gives that prompted this idea?

1. His clothes

Yeah, his hero suit specifically. I'm a lil wary using anime canon and fit it to manga canon, but considering ONE wrote some of the OVAs including this one, I'll take it as a fact that it can be part of manga continuity. Simply put: Saitama deeply cares about his hero suit as it represents him as a hero - indeed, especially treasured as it was created by someone who believes him to be one. That's why no matter how much powerful attacks he's tanking, his suit more or less gets away intact, if a lil damaged on occasion. As long as he considers it worth protecting, nothing terrible can befall it.

Until 167, where his usually unshakeable faith in his own heroism gets shaken to its firm foundations, and now we see his suit shred irreparably by mere martial arts alone despite managing to survive power that could destroy the earth and travelling at speeds faster than light, except for the one holding unto the core — the only remains of the person who believed that the work he does matters. The fact it was redrawn to include the glove means the metaphor is 100% intentional.

2. The people on the receiving end of his punches

No creature on earth can survive even the lightest of Saitama's punches, except for the ridiculously strong — or he has little to no intention of killing you.

The most obvious instance is Saitama vs. Genos. Any other creature on the receiving end of that punch turns into ludicrous gibs - or in Genos's case, a thousand pieces. But somehow despite just stopping short of Genos's face, he comes away unharmed, while the mountain and atmosphere behind him are split into two. Compare it to Boros, who at the end of the fight never really had that punch land on him, but was killed instead by the shockwaves — at a greater distance than Genos too. Sure, they're two different punches in terms of strength, but it doesn't change the fact that Saitama never had the intention to harm a hair on Genos's head whereas finished Boros then and there to keep him from destroying earth.

Several other instances are whenever he subdues human opponents. He never kills a human being, no matter how fatal his punches should be to them. If Saitama does not intend the attack to be fatal, then it won't be.

But heck, 166 definitely has Saitama going for the kill with his Serious Punch that can destroy the earth. But Garou still lived. Was he holding back?

Hell no. It wasn't until he calmed down a lil bit did he start holding back, but that punch was definitely thrown with the intent to kill. Garou just happened to be nearly as stromg as Saitama at that point that he could negate that desire. Saitama's later behavior indicates his willpower is greatly invested into a.) beating the ever living shit out of Garou and b.) protect the core at all costs. A desire waaaay more intense than Garou's desire to beat him.

3. The ludicrous physics behind his punches. Or just everything about Saitama

Ok, maybe this is the weakest point there is considering any character who isn't Saitama doesn't have any sort of realistic physics behind their feats either! Science is greatly taken for granted in this manga. But either way, it still doesn't make sense that Saitama with four fingers was able to shred the entire moon's surface. Unless he desired it to. I have a hard time explaining this. But to put simply.

Nothing about Saitama physiologically is human. None. The power he generates would require metabolism on insane levels, eating large amounts of food or exygen or even sleep. Heck even Genos has a sleep mode despite having a nuclear reactor for a core because his brain is human, and even Tatsumaki needs to rest after expending massive amounts of power. Saitama does not. Saitama has no real need to eat, sleep, shit, or even breath, considering this guy is literally in space, inhaling and exhaling Io's toxic atmo while no worse for wear. It's likely every time he does do these things, it's to maintain his sanity. Because ngl, addressing these needs is still a fundamental part of being human. Not having a need to would drive anyone crazy.

Tl ; dr: If he wants it to be, it will be.

So why does Saitama still stick with kicks and punches and overwhelming speed and strength despite the sheer potential of his reality bendibg powers that is he arguably explores more, can actually do more? Nostly because I think he doesn't fully understand it. Another is that he desires to be overwhelmingly strong and fast. If he desire to have psychic powers, I think he would have them. But since he's content with what he is, his powers stay that way.

"Hey Ink, I hope I'm not interrupting anything, but whatcha doing?" Blue came into Ink's artroom, which, despite only have been in use for two weeks, was already the messiest room in the base. 

"Oh, nothing much."

"So, I was wondering if you want to go to move night with me and Dream to Geno, Fresh, and Life's place?"

"Life lives there now too?"

"Only temparly. She wants to try and help Geno recover some of his soul without taking some from the soul of the Sans from Aftertale. Even if she doesn't find a way, I'm hoping she'll restore some of Geno's bone matter so he can train with me."

"Sounds good to me. I'm going to go up my stuff up. Don't wait up." Ink turned to the paint he was messing with. "Heh, he almost caught me!" Ink told the paint, and proceeded to clean up. He was so glad that he'd found the paint again after Dream and Blue hid it. They couldn't exactly get rid of it. No AU deserved to have that kind of trouble. Everyone had kind of forgot about it, though, which you might have not have, but the Star Sanses' base burned down regularly. 

Ink had been fiddling with it for a while, and had succeeded in his goal of making it more stable. It would not immediately create fire if spilled. Ink didn't actually know what it would do now, but it couldn't be as bad as the last time! After Ink had carefully put everything into its place, he noted a splotch of paint on the table. He waved it off. It was just another paint spill; why should Ink worry? Besides, Blue and Dream might suspect something if he was any longer. Well, Blue at least.

And there was no way that Ink was going to be late to game at Geno's! Ink slid down the stairs, and before Blue could scold him or Dream could ask how he did it, Ink was at the door. He rushed out, leaving Dream and Blue no choice but to hurry after. 

"Hey, Ink! Where are you going?" Dream asked, running at his side, not even winded. He was used to it, after all. 

"Let's go into Aftertale through the Doodlesphere! We've got enough time right?"

"Yeah, I-" Blue was about to respond but-

BOOM!

"Uh, what was that?" He cut himself off and turned around. Ink and Dream turned too. They all stopped short at what they saw. All thoughts of making it to game at Geno's was lost. 

"How the heck in the wide multiverse?" The three of them choursed. The base- The- Sorry, I keep laughing. This is just too funny- The base was gone. It had blown up. There was nothing left but a smoldering hole, which didn't even make sense! The base was basically in a mindspace! Mindspaces couldn't be blown up! Ink realized what had happened within a moment of seeing the bas- the hole. 

"I.. Um, I think I know what happened.."

"What!?!" Blue asked. 

"I was fiddling around with the paint again-"

"The paint I told you never to touch again, and wrote a note on your scarf about?"

"Yeah, that's it. I thought I made it more stable, and I stored it away according to the safety rules I found the internet." Blue just sighed, because that's all he did these days. (It's Inktobertale, y'all) "I saw a paint spill, but I waved it off. I didn't even realize that it was the paint. And I thought I'd made it safer." All was quiet for five minutes, just long enough to make Ink worry about the consequences.

"Well, that's got to be some sort of record, right?" Dream asked, breaking through the ice with the grace of a buffalo.

"No, the record was three hours. You should-" Ink stopped and gave Dream a thankful look. Blue sighed again.

"I don't even want to know."

"Can we still go to game night?"

"I don't see why not." Blue shrugged.Sometimes it was just better to go with the flow. And that meant saving the scolding for later.

"We'd better make it a sleepover."

"I wonder what set it off." Ink muttered.

"Oh no, you don't! If you somehow blow up or set fire to the house again, you'll be sleeping outside until the end of time!" With that, Blue marched through a portal that Dream made. No one crossed Blue in a mood. Hopefully whatever game Geno had come up with would take his mind off the base, or Ink and Dream were in for a ruff week.

Nobody asked for this, including me. I never intended to participate in Aftermare Week (and I'm a bit late as it is). Furthermore, I never could figure this ship out at all; for me, it just didn't work. Until suddenly, it did. All thanks to this event. Not sure if I'd expand this idea, but have this teaser nonetheless.

"Well, that's new," Nightmare says out loud, unsure how to react.

To be fair, it's always something new unless he concentrates on a certain AU. There are too many of them, so it's only natural they come and go.

He's been through this so many times, yet it's as awe-inspiring and breathtaking as ever. He still remembers the first time. He couldn't put up with his life anymore, and he tried to change it. Only... He hesitated a mere second before making contact with the closest golden apple. After all, he never touched it.

There's no proof, but it felt like the whole world shifted, settling in a state completely different from before.

That night, for the first time in his life, Nightmare had a dream. It wasn't a good dream; quite the opposite actually. He remembered walking in a cold, empty world filled with what he thought was snow. Of course, it was monster dust. He learned that shortly after, right as he stumbled into a human murdering an armless lizard-like monster. The air was thick not only with dust but also with grief, horror, and pain. Nightmare's never felt so much negativity in one place.

As time passed, his lucid dreams have become more and more frequent. He explored a world he was dreaming about, invisible, untouchable. The worlds were different every time, each of them unique in its own way, and he craved to learn and see as much as possible in what little time he had. Need to hurry made him upset at first, but then excitement came, the thrill of a race against time, a gamble of what he discovers and what misses, what chooses and what discards.

He was so vulnerable back then, no wonder he'd fallen into a trap of escapism, sleeping more and more every day. Dream was so worried, and Nightmare... Nightmare couldn't care less. He just wanted to get out of the world where everybody neither loved nor accepted him. Or, well, he believed so. What a fatal fallacy that was.

Now, his life is balanced and bearable, yet, the dreams stay a welcome distraction and adventure that Nightmare awaits with eager anticipation. They never cease to surprise.

Like this time. He got thrown into so many different places, but this one is something else. There doesn't seem to be anything but a tiny lawn with two words above, and then, there's only endless darkness. "Continue" and "Reset", the words say. Nightmare is vaguely aware of the concept after visiting so many universes, but... Is this really what it looks like? Even if so, what is he doing here? His dreams always led him to monsters or humans, but this place is utterly empty.

Did something break? Was he abusing his power to travel between the worlds? Is this his punishment? Will he stay here forever? What about Dream? He's strong, he'd live on even if Nightmare never woke up or disappeared for good, but Nightmare doesn't want to bring that on his brother!

"Anybody here?" Nightmare tries, despite the anxiety building in his whole being, verging on panic. It's all for nothing, of course, he's invisible, untouchable, and inaudible during his dreams, he's never present enough in another world to interact with it. But doing something — anything at all — is better than giving in to panic.

Then, suddenly, a voice comes from the darkness, astounded yet wary, "the heck?!"

Nightmare shrieks, taking a step back and instantly going on the defensive. Ready to cover himself or dodge.

"who's there?"

Now that all Nightmare's senses are heightened by fear, he can actually see where the voice comes from. A distant figure coming his way in fast, big steps, running almost.

Wait...

"Do you... hear me?" he asks, not quite sure if he expects an answer or a lack of it.

"duh. see ya, too."

Okay. Alright. They're not attacking, only coming closer. No reason to relax yet, but perhaps he should show them he's not a threat. Ever so slowly, Nightmare raises both hands. For some reason, that earns him a... chuckle?

He doesn't even see there are two of them at first. The only thing he can focus on is those weird white things covering their heads. He's never seen anything like this before. What is this? Are they okay?

Then, he remembers what types of worlds he has access to.

Then, he sees a huge bloody slash across the creature's chest.

Everything falls into place.

They're really, really not okay.

Only then, he finally realises there isn't only one creature before him. A monster wearing his face — or, well, about a half of it, the other being covered by this strange white thing, — a Sans of this universe, if it even is a universe, it seems; and a kid sitting on his shoulders, covered by the whiteness as well.

"did we startle you?" Uncertain, Nightmare nods, his gaze glued to the blood dripping from the slash. It's rude to stare, he might make this Sans mad, but just can't get himself to look anywhere else. It doesn't help that there's nothing to look at. Definitely nothing as vibrant, not even the grass behind their back. No, Nightmare can't look away even if it'd be the death of him.

"so? mind telling me who you are? or how you entered this place, maybe? dunno, don't care, you choose what comes first."

The stranger's tone is nonchalant, but Nightmare can sense other's emotions, so there's no way that's fooling him. They're confused and distressed. And in so much pain that never ends.

"I'm dreaming," Nightmare falters. It suddenly hits him that he's actually talking to somebody from another world. One of those he's never present enough in. What changed? Could it be this place that affects him? If so, wouldn't that be a trap, a prison with no way out?..

Stars, please, anything but that. He doesn't want to leave his brother.

The stranger's only socket widens in surprise. He looks as taken aback as Nightmare feels, truly.

"but you're not..." he mutters, clearly talking to himself. Shakes his head abruptly, earning a huff from the child on his shoulders. "sorry, kiddo, didn't think that through. you good?" They nod. "then, do me a favour and go play with the blasters, 'kay?" He lifts them with magic Nightmare is all too familiar with and summons the blasters, although smaller than Nightmare's accustomed to. The child pouts but goes away without a word, settling on a lawn.

"okay, let's start over. first, put your hands down, that looks uncomfortable." Says someone with a seemingly eternally bleeding wound, Nightmare thinks but does as asked. It's not like he's in any position to choose. "seems you're more afraid of me than i'm of you if your shaking's anything to go by. relax, kid, i'm not gonna hurt ya if you're not gonna hurt me."

He's not a kid. Not anymore. He really is shaking, though. Haven't even noticed. But that's not surprising at all, he still doesn't know what to expect.

"I'm not a kid," Nightmare says before he can stop himself. The stranger just shrugs, "then give me something to call you, why don't ya?"

That's... actually reasonable. His name never came up.

"Nightmare," the stranger gives him a quizzical look, so he clarifies. "That's my name. Nightmare."

"wow. somebody has a dark sense of humour or something?" Nightmare's not sure how to respond, but he doesn't get the chance anyway. "no, sorry, that's kinda hypocritical of me. name's geno."

As in genocide?

Nightmare doesn't ask that. Maybe he just heard that word too much during his travels.

"so, nightmare. how did you get here?"

I'm going to start by clarifying that these are messages I got in response to my post here /// LINK /// After this, I'm not replying to messages about this kinda thing in a long time. Talking about sexualization and such other topics is important but I'm not in a state to be made the center of it. Please, don't come to my inbox asking for discourse, go and create your own posts if you want to raise awareness or vent.

And now to answer to these new asks:

FIRST OF ALL: while I love the way Murata draws men, robotic stuff, monsters... I actually HATE the way he draws ladies! I prefer their proportions in the OPM anime and games. Murata is literally SO BAD at drawing women compared to the level of expertise he has drawing men, and it's all ‘cos he keeps drawing ladies "the h0rny way". We all know this, let's move on.

"He's drawing all the monster girls sexualized" Did the fact that Manako's genre reveal deconstructs the trope "the default is male" totally go over your head? That Psykos's reveal as a woman running the whole MA was a big deal for this same reason as well? There are a bunch of female monsters… you just assume they're all male unless you see big b00bs and then complain about that very fact. They literally made a whole point about this specifically!

"He changed Mizuki's shorts to p4nties to please fanboys" I liked the shorts better too (just because I find her whole character design a bit more balanced that way) so that change bothered me as well, but the "p4nties" are actually standard athletic wear for competition. Shorts are not. Technically, she’s drawn more accurately now.

"Sports Bras don't work that way he just wants to draw b00bs" neither do the shirts and bodysuits the guys are wearing. You can see all their muscles and manb00bs and cr0tch lines, just as much as with Fubuki and Tatsu's hero outfits and Mizuki's top.

"But when the boys are drawn that way, it's not to please the ladies, it's male power fantasy" THERE IS NO HETEROSEXUAL MALE POWER FANTASY BULLSHIT THAT CAN POSSIBLY EXPLAIN THE WAY MURATA DRAWS GAROU, FLASH, SONIC, STINGER AND SOME OF THE OTHER GUYS. The fact is that the way he draws eye candy of them appeals to other collectives other than the cis het men and he knows exactly what he's doing. Period.

"He constantly draws sexualized art of Mizuki to please the fanboys" Why exaggerate so much? This is simply not true. She's a woman in athlete wear, most of the time she's either standing up talking or fighting, no weird angles or anything. There is like 1 sexy cover of her, the back cover with all the girls in bikinis and then that infamous watermelon sequence. That's all the sexualization you are talking about.

"Mizuki only gets so much screen time because of how much p0rn of her there is" oh yeah Mizuki got a grand total of, like, *drum roll* 1 chapter and a half dedicated to her! Wow! Which is NOTHING taking into consideration how dense Garou's arc is and the fact that they will need at least 2 seasons of the anime to finish it.

But think about this: OPM desperately needed more female presence, in special with the prospect of finishing Garou's arc in the anime. Making anime is hard and COSTLY. Most of the people who is going to watch the anime haven't read the manga and they'll be like "what the heck there are no female characters in this anime for like 3 seasons?" and there is no team that's going to risk it working with such prospects. We know why.

Of all the expansion that Garou's arc got in the manga adaptation (and later in the anime), one of the most sensible and balanced decisions was to add more ladies. They put all those monster ladies for season 2, and then for season 3 we get Manako and Mizuki having some strong presence, Shadow and Kamaitachi there a bit in the back too. It benefits the pace and balance of both the manga and the future season 3 so immensely because Fubuki, Tatsumaki and Psykos take a LOOONG while to be relevant during Garou's Arc… in special with all the filler the manga put in between (but all that filler is of the S-Class boys getting development and a reality check which is kinda important too lol).

Point is: the screentime Mizuki got was VERY necessary to balance things in between of all the relentless Garou fights and the boys being boys. Sure Mizuki is beautiful and sexy and all, but really EVERYONE was waiting for a new female character that was relevant, likeable, fun… and on top of everything, it's so rare to see a strong 2m tall girl in fiction in general, not even just anime. Everyone got instantly excited about her because she's exactly what we needed AND MORE. And sure, people draw p0rn of her like they do with most other popular characters, what did you expect.

"The ladies are always more sexualized-" YES, in the OPM manga, the ladies are a little more sexualized than the men –but not by much AND not during plot stuff. By that I mean that most of the so called "sexualizing the girls" happens in the covers, back covers and promotional art very exclusively, and not during the story itself. HOWEVER, a lot of the sexy men bits do happen during the story, curiously.

 In the anime though, there is almost zero ladies fanservice (which makes sense since there is almost no female presence in the first 2 seasons anyway). Yet it's full of naked dudes, sometimes for a good reason, but mostly just so we can look at them being sexy and silly.

 I personally don't care if the man candy and ladies fanservice is not perfectly even in Murata's manga adaptation, because there is enough of both in his work, as well as other official OPM stuff like the anime and games to bring a very nice balance in the s3xy department.

 "The way the women are dressed-" Most of the background ladies are wearing skirt uniforms and shit, but all the relevant ladies primarily dress in nothing you can call "sexualized" except for maybe Tatsumaki with her strong leg game. To recall:

 Lilly wears the same as the men of the Blizzard Group; Twin Tail just dresses like a jester; Mizuki is the first to show so much skin, but she's still wearing real standard competition wear for athletes. All the other sportwomen (Hornet and Swim) and martial artists (Shadow, Suiko, Lin Lin) wear standard clothes for their respective professions too. Sure we've seen Shadow wearing some, uh, ninja bikini thing under her ACTUAL work clothes, but for actual fights she's fully dressed and surprisingly not stuffed in a tiny nylon bodysuit that rips like stocking, like all the ninja men in the series do lmao.

Fubuki and Tatsumaki are, like, the only ones wearing dresses and they can because they use psychic powers anyway. Fubuki doesn't even show ANY skin, ever! She just happens to have big b00bs! Kamaitachi is the other one wearing a "skirt" but it's similar to what Japanese martial artists would wear, too.

So, again… all this sexualization we are talking about is not even happening anywhere except in Murata's covers and some promotional art. ONE is famous for treating ladies very fairly, even if Murata tries very hard to exploit the sexy out of every single of the ladies ONE creates. All these ladies have their own agenda and personality that have nothing to do with being pretty or f*ckable. In fact, in-universe, no one ever mentions if the heroines are beautiful or sexy and no one ever talks about liking them for those reasons (except for Lilly and Erika who are gay for Fubuki and Tatsumaki respectively, amazingly enough no hetero characters mention it). I think the first time we've ever seen a relevant character talking about dating another relevant character is when Suiryu told Saitama and Suiko to date (but Suiryu is the resident h0rny fuckboy of the series, if someone was going to say something so stupid for all the wrong reasons, it was going to be him).

For being an adult series, a seinen that parodies shonen tropes and all, OPM is seriously very tame in the sexy ladies department. For this series, the sexy is just a luxurious accessory, just one more little thing. It's always pretty weird when people get so angry and disappointed about a new sexy girl cover or a couple of compromising panels, like they don't know what to expect.

 "He only draws that way to please the h0rny fanboys" Murata IS a h0rny fanboy himself and draws shit that appeals to him as much as he feels he’s allowed to insert in the series. Please remember he's the insane fanboy that reached up to ONE to beg him to continue One Punch Man and offered to make a manga adaptation to promote OPM.

From the moment Murata started drawing OPM, the tone of the manga was set and never changed: lots of blood and guts, comical and non-comical nudity, irreverence, sexy angles, Genos ripping his shirts off, ninjas in body suits that rip like they are nylons… people in shirts, tanktops and dresses so tight you can see all their muscles, boobs and even belly buttons whether they are men or women or otherwise… h0rny chapter covers, stupidly h0rny monsters…

Just reading the manga to the point where Genos and Mosquito Girl first appear, you know what you are in for with OPM. I don't know what some fans are expecting to see in OPM next, but I'm going to take a wild guess here and say: you should expect more of the same.

 At the end of the day, the manga is Murata's work with ONE, and if he likes drawing h0rny ladies more than boys, that's how things are! This is just 2 guys with their passion project. I don't expect of them the same as if there was a bigger team with a big budget behind the series, like it happens with many games and shows. In this last case, I would be a lot stricter about all this, because with more resources you're expected to do better things.

Now I have a question, why did Justin in the previous drawing have a black liquid coming out of his mouth and eyes?

((The previous drawing is actually based on this headcanon I came up with not too long ago...

So, we all know that Chara is linked to LV, and I feel like depending on the LV, Chara can either have little influence, or total control (as we see with Frisk in either the Pacifist, where they are just being the narrator, or option giver and helping Frisk by giving hints in some battles, but able to help them through bigger fights, mainly Asriels. And the Genocide route, where they control Frisks movements and even speaks.) But, Frisk is different, since they have the Determination trait, just like Chara did. So it was easier for them to cling to Frisk and help them...

But, the other humans...? Yes, they have some Determination, but not enough to SAVE and RESET, because Determination isn't their overall trait, so Chara couldn't cling to their souls very well because they hardly had enough Determination to cling to.

Except...when they gained LV...

So in Justin's case (he gained the most LV, being LV 10 which is HALF WAY to being LV 20, which is the max level in the Geno run) he may have been able to awaken Chara by increasing LV and STATS? And since this would have technically been the first time Chara had even 'woke up' (since Justin fell before Frisk) they deffinately would have wanted to put a stop to what Justin was doing...

So what did they do, with their limited influence they had on him?

Scare the friggin heck out of him!!!! And also made it to where he could only speak in narrator speak. (Kind of like a curse??? I guess??? It was really all they could probably do or come up with.)

Thats why his reflection looks that way. Chara was able to take over for a short amount of time, just so they could freak Justin out, and hopefully, make him stop...

Which, did work...as I imagine that he may have tried to avoid more fights, or run from them all together when he was in Hotland (also because Hotland might have been more heavily guarded, too, so it was probably best to stay out of harms way) but...probably seeing Kaden's items made him angry again, so he might have killed a few more monsters before getting to the Castle...which brought him to LV 10.

Its still a shakey headcanon, but I personally like it?? It helps give Justin a reason to why he didnt just keep killing monsters, and why he speaks the way he does. And it also gives Chara more reason to hate humanity, too...

Forward: this is gonna be another one of those cursed™ observation posts, but somebody’s gotta document it! even I’m not blind to what Murata’s been doing lately! (Some can probably already guess where I’m going with this, but hey, now it’s time to clinically provide some further character visual evidence~)

Sonic’s 🍑 has competition?!

HUH?! Alright, so I originally thought and quite frankly assumed Sonic was the Reigning Champion in this department, as joked about in many fanworks and as canonically depicted (from ch44):

Right? That seems pretty typical and expected of Sonic. No surprise there. Ok, but now let’s look at Murata’s most recent drawings of Sonic to compare (ch78 and 87 bonus ch):

Hmmm?? 🤔 Seems...a little different? I knew Sonic lost some weight from the whole cooked monster cell fiasco, but…something else feels off here, like his body type or proportions have changed. He’s looking more compact with muscle and less curves for one thing. (His serious training paying off?) To compare, here’s Flash (+bonus Tatsu) with more of that classic curvature (ch94 bonus):

(Well now, that’s pretty fabulous, heh.) So…what’s happening here? Is Murata’s style and/or his tastes evolving in certain ways in this department??? Cause it’s not just Sonic whose sculpted definition has been affected. We’ll need more character examples from the other main guys to find out!

Saitama (ch44, 61 bonus, 75, 85, 89). Looking impressively solid and sturdy as a hard-boiled egg should! (Especially that last one.) As expected of sensei~

Alright, alright! Murata’s certainly not shy about defining his form in the nude, but gosh is there a stark ramrod difference in body type between him and Fubuki! :O

And lastly, that leaves us with Murata’s poster boy and Reigning Champion in the backs department, Garou (ch89, 90, 93, 126, 129):

Wait, what. HUHHHH??? (I said backs, not...omg Murata, what you doin?!) It seems ever since Murata put him in a skin-tight body suit (or less), he’s been gratuitously defining more of Garou’s other uhh, assets to show off the rest of his entire backside too. (Murata’s thirst is so transparent~ Also since when the heck did current Garou gain more shapely curves than current Sonic?! What! Is this an equivalent exchange thing for gaining speed?! Just scroll back up to compare with the bottom 4 examples here; I’m still shook in disbelief too.) Funnily enough, Murata’s even self-aware and savvy enough to literally refer to it as ガロ肉 (Garou meat)! Ahhh! And to top it all off, here’s some fabulously fitting fanart by mmonsterbones. I’ll leave it at that for all the visual evidence, and your mileage may vary on who’s the current and/or preferred standout here, but nevertheless, Murata’s noticeably up to something when it comes to drawing these guys’ 🍑’s lately and it shows!

You answered quickly, then turned off the phone and resumed watching the next episode of ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’. There was a lot of your favorite character at this arc, so unfortunately you couldn’t stop watching it right now! ‘Sorry, baby!’

Todoroki, on the other hand, had been staring at his smartphone’s screen for two or three... or maybe four minutes, probably not catching your joke about your alleged date with a non-existent 2D character. Only after long thought he decide to go to your room in the dorm.

Shoto expected everything; that you will be getting ready for a mentioned date, that you’re drunk or something, that you will cry while devising a plan to break up with him... but he certainly didn’t expect that you will lie on the bed hugging a large and fluffy dakimakura with the anime character’s face and body.

“Y/N?”

You glanced to the side, pausing the anime episode, and raised an eyebrow. “Oh. Hi?”

“What are you doing?”

“I have a date. I wrote it, remember?” You laughed softly as you sat on the bed. “You want to join?” You asked, but seeing his surprised expression, you decided to explain it. “I just watch anime, Sho. It’s a inside joke that you ‘go on a date’ with your favorite character when you just watch your favorite title. And my favorite character is Roy Mustang! Come here, please and watch it with me.”

After a short while, you played a few seconds of the anime for your boyfriend, and he raised his left eyebrow.

“Why you like this ‘Roy Mustang’ if you have me? Plus, my power is much better and I don’t need gloves to activate my quirk.”

You looking in shock at the boy, then blushed hardly. A moment later you grabbed his hand and pulled him to you, hugging him. 

‘I guess, I just like hot guys Shoto-kun.’ You thought, still hugging Todoroki.

“B-But... You keep reading about him, you have him on your wallpaper, you have his photos on wall, and you even cry to him while watching anime. Not to mention that you’ve watched this title about eighteen times already...! You love him more than me! I’m so sad, Y/N-chan!”

You raised your left eyebrow, laughing softly, looking at the book again and then closing it with a little, colorful bookmark. Of course, the bookmark with the image of Genos. Lmao.

“Izu-kun... No offence, but you know that well – all your room is in All Might’s things; bedding, mugs, pens, carpet and posters. When we kiss there, I can feel his smile and eyes on me. All. The. Time.” You said honestly, causing his pouty cheeks to flush after a short while, like two huge red ripe apples from an orchard.

“Yeah... B-But...”

“Anyway, I like this manga also because the main character looks like you. He also beats the villains with one punch! You should read this with me... I think you will like it, baby.”

This one, simple sentence was enough to interest Midoriya, who was (yeah, let’s face it) obsessed with physically strong characters/heroes/people.

Unfortunately, after a short time you turned your boyfriend into a monster who started buying various ‘One Punch Man’ stuff... Mr. Yagi Toshinori had a competition from now. Lol.

“Leave me alone! They’re playing an important game with Shiratorizawa Academy right now! I can’t, I just can’t! I have to support my favorite team!” You squeaked as your boyfriend pulls your leg and tries to pull you out of the safe ‘nest’ on the bed. “Katsuki! LEAVE ME ALONE, YOU BASTARD.”

“Shitty woman, let’s go on a date.”

“Piss off, let me spend time with my beautiful volleyball players! I missed them.” You almost cry holding onto the wooden bed frame while kicking your boyfriend in the face. “Let me finish watching the game and we’ll go on that date. I promise. I PROMISE.” You add quietly, looking at the screen again.

Bakugo snorted loudly, finally sitting down on your white carpet and leaning back against the bed. Then he took out his phone to browse his social media, but shortly afterwards he speaks back again. His raspy voice was irritated.

“I just don’t understand why you like that anime and that black-haired idiot so much... Like, I’m better in every fucking way.”

“Don’t offend Kageyama, you stupid ass.” You growled, poking him with your foot. “I like him because he’s so handsome and cute. He’s tall, he can play volleyball, he has beautiful, blue eyes...” You started exchanging softly, blushing, which made your boyfriend mad.

After a moment was heard a sound of a laptop hatch closing loudly in the room.

“KATSUKI, YOU SON OF A BITCH. I HATE YOU.”

“Yeah, yeah. Anyway. We’re going on a date. Now.”

The blonde boy looked at you with a very scared expression on his face. When he saw the tears in your shiny eyes and the blush on your both cheeks, he approached you, asking if you were all right.

“Nothing’s alright, Denki!” You screamed out, stopping the episode of ‘Kaichou wa Maid-sama!’ and then looking back at your still worried boyfriend. “Usui kissed Misaki. I don’t know what to do with myself. I’M SO JEALOUS!” You squealed as you grabbed your warm forehead. “I’d like to kiss him too!” You added, causing the fear on his face to turn into surprise and confusion.

“Baby, I... Huh?”

“I would like to be a character in this anime. Life is hard, Denki. Life is painful.” You sighed, glancing at the colorful screen again.

After a while, however, you felt a warm touch on your hand, and then a gentle tug of your body towards the blonde’s chest. You looked at him questioningly, but before you could ask what he was doing, your man pulled you even closer, finally kissing your sweet lips. The kiss was gentle, slow and sweet; it was that kind you liked mostly and personally.

When you pulled away from Kaminari, he smiled at you, tucking unruly strands from your head behind one of your reddy ears.

“You may not live in the same anime as Usui, but at least you live next to me. It’s nice, isn’t it, Y/N?”

Your cheeks flushed even more than a few minutes ago, when you watched the last episode of your favorite title with interest. So you nodded gently. “That’s very nice, thank you, cutie.”

“Y/N, why do you like this bad and nasty man so much?” Kirishima looked at you, and you paused the third episode, looking at him with amusement in your both, bright eyes.

“He’s not bad at all. He does justice as he sees fit.” You ate some popcorn and the boy pouted. “Hm? What’s wrong, baby?”

“I just don’t understand why you like this anime so much... There are much more enjoyable series! Honey, please, let’s watch ‘Pokémon’ or something where good and love wins. Pretty please.”

“But, you know that I don’t like this kind of anime or manga. I prefer what I’m watching now, Eiji-kun.”

“Yes, but you know it by heart!” He said reproachfully, and you shrugged your shoulders again. Kirishima gave up for a few more moments, watching your cute face, which with each second of the episode turned to an expression of admiration and big as heck stress. ‘Well.’ If, while watching the actions of the evil-like Light, Kirishima could hug you and kiss your hands, he may turn a blind eye to Kira’s awful behavior.

Sans was laying in the oh so familiar save screen. How long has it been? Days? Weeks? Months? Does it even matter? It’s all going to be wiped away once the human RESETS. He sighs as he continues staring into the inky black abyss. Before long, the familiar fading of a white light engulfs and the save screen. They finally RESET.

He felt himself standing, not in his bed like usual. What? He hesitantly opened his eyes to see that he was in the judgment hall. Did they honestly LOAD their SAVE? Why? But when he looked for the human, he found something. No, SOMEONE else.

It was you, standing over the fallen human’s body, holding their soul in your hands with a curious glint in your eye. How did you get here? Why are you here? Where did you come from? Were all questions Sans WANTED to ask but was too shocked to even say them.

You, on the other hand, had felt like someone was watching you. But… you didn’t see anyone down here besides the fallen human. You look up and yelp in surprise to see a skeleton watching you. You both stared at each other for a good 2 minutes before you mustered the courage to speak.

“U-Um…” Shoot, you didn’t think this through. What are you supposed to say, what are you supposed to ask? The skeleton snaps out of whatever trance he was in and takes a step toward you.

“Are you… real?” He asks unsure, you blink at him surprised, you did not expect him to have such a deep voice.

“Yes? Are YOU real?” You counter, he pauses before chuckling, there was no happiness within however.

“I’m as real as this hall, bud. So tell me, how exactly DID you get here?” He asks, suddenly turning hostile. You stiffen before trying to explain that you came down here on complete accident.

“I… um.. I tripped,” You mutter lamely but it was true. He stares at you, making it feel like you were being picked apart from just his eyes- er, lack of any. He suddenly looks a bit more relaxed and glances at the body by your feet.

“Did you do that?” He asks bluntly, harsh dude. 

“N-No! No, I just… found them like this…” You’re surprised you’re able to keep speaking, even more so when face to face with a literal monster. Though, he hasn’t harmed you yet so that’s a good sign. His bone brows furrow before bringing his gaze to the soul in your hand.

“So you walk in here, see a corpse and the first thing you do is examine their soul?” . . . Okay, now that it’s been said out loud, what the heck were you thinking?

“Uh-” He holds up a hand, you shut up from how serious he looks.

“Listen, I need you to do something that sounds… Insane. I know we just met and all but… Well, the Underground wasn’t such a desolate place before this freak came,” He gestures to the corpse to your feet.

“And that soul your holding? That can RESET this place. How? Magic. But that’s not important at the moment, what IS important is that YOU have that soul. And I need YOU to press the RESET button,” The fuck is he talking about.

“Um… excuse me?” You are totally confused. With a sigh, he walks up to you and closes your hands around the soul, involuntarily causing you to absorb it. And once you absorb it, you see two buttons in front of you, CONTINUE and RESET. You feel… really uncomfortable with the LV you have. He releases your hands and takes a step back, waiting. Well… what do you have to lose?

So without a second thought, you press the RESET button and the world fades away. A new player, a new reset, another chance at freedom.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH oh, okay! Actually I have no clue if that’s why other people ship them? It might be? It might also be that them being the last two out of the group made people consider the ship and then start actually enjoy the possibility of it? I don’t know! Personally SeroMina is one of the ships I’ve been shipping the longest (I’ve been on it since before starting to like kamijirou, actually!) and one of the only three ships in bnha I have a seriously hard time breaking up and shipping around (the other two being ochadeku and bakushima) so I’m reasonably sure my ending up liking them was an independent thought process and it wasn’t guided by shipping other things? But it’s been so long that I can’t really say why I first considered them as a possibility, so who knows, really! Might be, might not!

The reason why I’m still shipping it right now is that I find them highly compatible, that their interactions in canon give me life, and that I just find them extremely visually pleasing - I think I have a very specific way of shipping them? In my head? I have this story about them, or... an ideal way in which I like to think they might happen, and it makes me very happy and makes me feel very warm and it’s just, it’s ideal? To me, the possibility of Sero and Ashido ending up together would make for an ideal lovestory and relationship, it just gives me the fuzzies haha it’s like, you know, they’re very very good friends, and to me that’s the most solid base to start a relationship, and they’re comfortable with one another which is wonderful. They’re the same type of silly and extra and rowdy which is fun, and I’m very very stuck on the fact that when Ashido was talking about her future agency she just assumed Sero would be in it - she wants him in her future??? how cute is that!! he wasn’t the only one she mentioned so I’m not saying it’s “canon proof” or whatever, I just like that out of the squad the only one she assumed would be with her in the future is Sero, it’s soft I like it. Saitama’s party in the fantasy AU, inspired by anon’s suggestions + Discord discussions + Thoughts:

Saitama: human knight. Never asked for any of this. The picture of Average Human but stupidly op as in canon. Wears a helmet that hides his face when he rescues damsels so he doesn’t scare them, but is mostly in it for the $$$. Hates to spend money in town, always tries to haggle. Overall poor reputation, usually taken for a fraud, but is starting to get a reputation as a dragon killer. Eventually returns Genos’ affections, but it’d be nice if he stopped cradling his head so much.

Genos: Dragon whose family was slain. Has sworn revenge on the knight who did it (not Saitama) and asked a wizard to turn him human so he could fulfill his quest. Still has dragon eyes, small claws/fangs/pointed ears. Very dragon-like black armour. Is fighting his instincts to not hoard Shiny Things, but cannot resist Saitama’s egg-shaped AND shiny bald head. Also loves the rest of the man but that head!! Wow!!

Sonic: rare goth elf. Bitchy and thoty but that’s standard for elves. Wears way too much black and makeup to be a respectable elf, treasures his amazing hair (until Genos rips it off during one of their fights). Unclear why he’s even tagging along. Wears too much shiny stuff too, it distracts and therefore annoys Genos. Has Standards but no one knows what they are. Keeps to himself more than the others, comes and goes like a cat. Thrives on attention but only on his own terms, otherwise you’re ”SMOTHERING him”.

Mumen: travelling priest that befriended Saitama long ago, maybe hired him as a bodyguard going through dangerous woods? And then just kind of stuck around. The one (1) person in the party that owns a steed, Justice. Justice is... I want to say a big, imposing but sweet and lazy old draft horse. The horse does Not trust Genos but likes being fed and petted by the others. Mumen is kind and calm, has mostly given up on teaching the non-humans of the party (so, everyone but Saitama) anything from the holy books as they just don’t think any of it applies to them. He’s still trying with Garou since he’s... possibly?? human??? Unclear.

Badd: Taken for an orc but insists he’s an oni - none of the others in the group know or care what the difference is. Kind of runty by oni standards but still very strong by human standards. The youngest in the group and the most socially competent despite being the least human-looking - but only polite when it suits him (which is rarely). Loves his sister more than anything. Has a big club that he’s not afraid to use. Not sure yet why he’s with the party, but probably so he can get something for Zenko? Heck, maybe he just needs human coins to buy her Nice Things.

Garou: wolf berserker. Usually naked (especially during battle) and more wild than tame. Loves to mess with the others, especially Genos and Badd, but knows better than to mess too much with Saitama. Considers baths a punishment. Understands Justice better than anyone else, talks to him like a person. Could instantly recognize Genos as a dragon when meeting him, didn’t even hesitate. Can’t make heads or tails of Saitama though, doesn’t believe he’s human as he claims and is a bit wary of him. Likes to steal Badd’s club. Is with the party because Fun Stuff happens around them.

Bonus: King is a king (of course) and another old friend of Sai’s. Maybe they went to the same school for a while and/or King hired him for some task.

Tatsumaki: queen of the neighbouring kingdom, with the help of princess Fubuki. I’m thinking... Tatsumaki’s knight killed Genos’ family. Saitama talks King into negotiate with her before Genos attacks the castle, once he learns that’s where the knight is, King does... for a long time... and eventually ends up marrying her, to all of their shock. But he means it, he’s fallen for her seeing her being a meader in action and it’s a happy marriage and it brings peace to their kingdoms. THERE now we can fit GS/SG, mumarou AND tatsuking in there lmao

On the Subject of Underverse S2

You read that correctly: this is a post about one of the greatest shows ever created, the Undertale animated series Underverse, written/animated by @jakei95​. I have a lot of theories that I’ve been pulling together ever since I watched both Underverse and Xtale (the Underverse prequel series). Maybe one or two have no basis in anything, but for some reason they popped into my head and I’ll stick by them until they’re proven incorrect. I will discuss the possibility of a Geno/Ink fight, Fresh!Ink, XI (you’ll definitely want to read their section!), and the fates of many different characters. This is quite the long post, so buckle up for a long ride.

Let’s begin!

GENO/INK FIGHT:

I’m putting this theory first because it is the least important. At some point in time, I somehow got it into my head that there is supposedly going to be a fight between Geno and Ink. I have no idea where I heard about this, and when I searched for any specific videos or posts about the subject, I found nothing. But I personally think a fight scene between Geno and Ink would be pretty cool, so I’m adding this in here.

FRESK!INK’S EXISTANCE:

This is a more relevant theory. Ever since Jakei announced that Fresh!Ink would be a part of Underverse, I have wondered how he would be incorporated. I don’t know if she means for him to be in the future “Beach Episode” or something more serious. (Of course, I know almost nothing about this supposed “Beach Episode”, which is apparently when Epic!Sans will be showing up, so I really wouldn’t know.) But there is an important thing to remember: Ink and Fresh made a deal in the first season.

Ever since I saw this Underverse - Xtra Scene 2, I have wondered what this “prize” could possibly be. What was Ink’s side of the deal? What did he promise Fresh? Hmm... maybe a new body to take over?

Ink’s body doesn’t have a SOUL- that’s basic “Undertale AU Knowledge 101″. What does this have to do in regards to Fresh? To my best knowledge, the actual parasitic creature True!Fresh feeds off the souls of other creatures to survive. In fact, his soul-feeding would kill his victims if he stayed long enough in one body, but he likes to play it safe and leave his victims alive in case he needs to use their body again. But he wouldn’t need to do this with Ink. Because of Ink’s SOULless nature, Fresh could theoretically feed off his body forever. Some might object that since Ink doesn’t have a SOUL, Fresh wouldn’t be able to feed off him. But then how does Fresh!Ink exist?

So, what was their deal? Fresh watches over the Xtale AU while Ink is gone, and after Cross and X!Chara are taken care of, Ink comes back and lets Fresh take over his body for a little while. There may be something else I’m missing, but the pieces seem to make sense.

XI’S PURPOSE:

For those of you who don’t know who XI is, I suggest you watch this video about Jakei’s Overwrite merch. This is when the character of XI was introduced to us, back on good ol’ April 1st, 2019. Haha, yes, the joke character of XI- funny April Fool’s Day video, a good laugh for everyone. Jakei has made a few comics about XI since then, but overall, XI hasn’t been involved in Xtale or Underverse so far. That has never sat right with me, and I’ve always thought there would be something more to him. I was proven absolutely correct when Xtale - The Movie came out. But before we discuss the little extra scene tagged onto the end of that video, I would like to point out some very interesting facts about XI.

On October 6th, 2019, Jakei posted a traditional speedart. Obviously, the art is gorgeous like always and every time I watch it I wonder if I will ever get to the level of skill she is at. But besides that, there is a very important aspect about this video. In the speedart, Jakei drew two pictures: one of X!Chara and X!Frisk fighting, and one of XI. In XI’s picture, they are depicted in full armor with a magical purple sword & shield.

Hmmm... I wonder who this could possible resemble?

Every time XI is shown, whether it be in comics or artwork, their bangs hang over their eyes. Their armor looks exactly like Kris’s from Deltarune. Heck, they both use a sword and a shield! What does this mean? XI is X!Kris. There is no way to deny this. This is why they are X!Chara’s and X!Frisk’s little sibling. I would also like to point out XI’s silver oval locket. I find it interesting how he has a different piece of jewelry from everyone else- all other important characters in Xtale have a matching golden heart locket. Does XI also have people he has given copies of this necklace to? Perhaps X!Susie and X!Ralsei, if they exist? But XI being X!Kris is only the beginning of this theory. Remember how I mentioned Xtale - The Movie earlier? Take a look at this picture.

This is a five-second frame pegged at the very end of the video, after an entry written in wingdings by Mister XGaster himself. The message is as follows:

Entry Number Eleven: As clear as a reflection in a mirror, I have found the most perfect projection of forbidden visions. Get ready. Your time is coming.

Okay, just whoa. Not only is the entry #11, but the person standing there is XI. Oh, and let’s take a closer look at what they’re holding in their hand.

I knew that silver locket was going to be important. There is no way that XI is not going to play a major part in either Underverse S2 or hmm... maybe a spin-off about the Xtale versions of Deltarune characters? To my knowledge, Jakei has not said anything about her plans after she finishes Underverse. She has her Metadora project, and I am aware that her husband @nyxtheshield​ is planning out his own Undertale series- someone will need to animate that, and I’m sure she would be able and willing to do the job. She has stated that there will be no seasons of Underverse after S2, and the finale will be 1.0. But that doesn’t mean she won’t make a new series. If she does, will it be about all the Deltarune characters? Will the other Xtale characters show up at certain points in it? Will XGaster play a large part in it? There is no way to know, as the idea of a new show is simply drawn from that there may not be enough time in S2 to fully expand what XI is.

In any case, XGaster states in the entry that “your time is coming”. This could either reference a new show or XI’s appearance in Underverse. I find it extremely interesting how XGaster words his message. “The most perfect projection of forbidden visions.” What does that mean exactly? XGaster has seen something in one of his many visions, obviously. The most perfect image of prohibited sights. XI is a person that stands for something that should not be allowed to exist. That makes sense- XGaster, a man, somehow got pregnant and birthed them, as shown in the Overwrite merch video. The “forbidden visions” might imply that he has seen something quite “cursed”, as us modern Internet-users would say. But then he tells this projection to get ready, because their time is coming. XGaster is telling XI to prepare themself. This just proves that XI and XGaster are tied together very closely, and that if XI does get their own series with X!Ralsei and X!Susie, XGaster will be involved.

Whew! That’s a lot of information to take in all at once. This was the big “theory” I wanted to discuss, so now we will move on to the different fates I believe may befall some of our beloved characters.

INK, FOR GOOD OR FOR WORSE?:

Ah, Ink. One of the true protagonists of Underverse. Remember: a protagonist is not necessarily a hero, just one of the leading characters. It has been seen that his story arc is the most important throughout the entire story. He is the one that inspired XGaster. He is the one that made XGaster’s plan succeed. And he very well might be the one to make it fail.

Wait, you’re asking me. I thought he was on XGaster’s side? What do you mean he will make it fail?

I didn’t want to address whether Ink was going to stick with XGaster or flip until a certain song was posted by Nyx two days ago on December 5th, “Soulless Heart”. If you haven’t listened to it yet, go ahead and click that link because the song is beautiful and absolutely necessary to continue on with this theory! The song is the Underverse 0.5 Ending Theme, and guess who it’s about? You guessed it, our good old buddy chum pal Ink. I’ve been listening to it on repeat since it came out, and it really is incredible. (Nyx, if you’re somehow reading this, I would like to personally congratulate you, because not only is the music amazing but mwah! Your voice is a joy, and I would not have any other singer do the vocals.) But the most important thing about the song is the lyrics. Here’s the first verse.

How long have I been longing

to be free and not broken

in this ocean of hollowness?

I don’t want to be forgotten.

Instantly, the lyrics hit you hard. This is about Ink, though, so you can’t expect anything less. Essentially, the song is about the emptiness that Ink feels without a SOUL. This goes along with one of his main aspects in Underverse. The only reason why he worked with XGaster to make sure XGaster’s game worked was so he could feel more emotions. As a chaotic neutral character, Ink literally only cares about himself and his personal goals. But what is interesting about this song is that he addresses the pain he has caused.

Sacrificial lambs

laid upon my path

now are broken worlds

killed by senseless wrath.

Ink knows that he has hurt people. I mean, in the present timeline when 0.5 is to be set, Ink’s actions just caused Error to literally “pull the plug” and destroy all the AUs. (Although, how many AUs were actually destroyed is impossible to determine, because there are still multiple Sanses that will be incorporated into S2 that were residing in their AUs at the time of their supposed destruction.) Ink knows that this is his fault. And now that XGaster has won, Ink will be receiving all those emotions he wanted! In the S2 teaser, which was released on the original Underverse 0.5 release date (the episode was unfortunately delayed due to issues with Nyx’s distributor, RouteNote), shows something very important.

Look at those vials in his hand. Those aren’t just colored vials. Well, they are, but their colors are especially important. Look at their specific colors: orange, yellow, and amber. Previously, Ink’s vials have been seen as very straightforward: roy g biv, that sort of thing.

You have one or maybe two variations, although in this picture there seems to be about four different aqua vials. But there certainly isn’t an amber vial. This goes to show that XGaster followed through on his promise, and Ink has a lot more variations in his color-coded emotion vials. The obvious conclusion from this is that he can feel a lot more things than he thought was possible- including guilt. With his newfound feelings, he could realize that what he did wasn’t just wrong, it was horrible. He might start to blame himself for getting all the AUs destroyed, which in turn might result in a betrayal of XGaster. With his emotions, he would become a real good person. But ultimately, without XGaster’s Overwrite abilities, Ink’s new emotions will fade and he will return to be the same old Ink as before. He will no longer understand why he sacrificed his emotions, and the cycle will start anew. Ink will never be truly happy, because being happy will always mean the suffering of others.

Or, Ink will stick with XGaster. It would be the same fate, after all; if the heroes defeat XGaster, Ink will still lose those emotions. This, though, might leave him feeling bitter and even more willing to do anything to get what he wants, which could potentially lead to him becoming a real villain. Perhaps XGaster isn’t the final boss of Underverse. Maybe the one to start everything will be the one to finish everything.

XGASTER AND UT!GASTER:

This wouldn’t be a real theory post without discussing our favorite fanfiction writer, would it? And yes, XGaster is literally a fanfiction writer. He has symptoms of OCD concerning the world-building of his universe and he just loves to add as much angst as humanly (or monsterly) possible. It just so happens that he lives in his own created universe, so his creations have the pleasurable chance at getting revenge.

Now, there are obviously two ways that Underverse can go: XGaster succeeds, or XGaster fails. This doesn’t necessarily mean that this will be the ending of S2. As I mentioned above, perhaps XGaster will be defeated at the end of 0.9 and 1.0 will be about everyone trying to stop Ink from taking the Overwrite SOUL for his own, I don’t know. In any case, I don’t really have anything to discuss about XGaster specifically, but I am pretty sure I know what his last scene will be if he happens to lose.

It is shown in the Underverse S2 Prologue - Owners that XGaster and UT!Gaster spent a lot of time together in the Void between the events of Xtale and Underverse. Not only do they hold an entire conversation together in Owners, but in Underverse 0.1 when Sans is hit in the head with a ball, he has a vision of the two of them standing together.

In XGaster’s and UT!Gaster’s conversation in Owners, UT!Gaster tells XGaster that he will fail in his quest for perfection. XGaster brushes him off because he’s an egotistical prick, yadda yadda. But this conversation is important because I believe it will parallel the ending of XGaster’s quest. In the end, UT!Gaster will approach his old Void-buddy and tell him to just give up on his pointless venture. XGaster will turn to dust after saying something like, “I will never give up”, and then we have Ink going on a rampage. That’s pretty much all I have to say on them, but I thought it would be worth adding.

DREAM AND NIGHTMARE:

Lastly, we have the brothers. As with XGaster and UT!Gaster, I don’t have much to add with them. But I do believe they will both play a major role in S2. They will be the overseers of the battle to come. Out of all the characters in the Undertale fandom, they are the most omnipotent. They are the protectors of the Tree of Feelings, which is one of three trees to give the Multiverse life. In Underverse 0.4, when X!Chara accused Nightmare of “watching us all this time as if we were part of a show”, Nightmare responded by saying:

Of course, Nightmare mostly means himself, Error, and Ink. Dream is much more active in helping people be happy, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t on the same god-tier level as his brother. Dream could sit back and watch the world tick, but he chooses not to because that goes against his morals.

In other words, Dream and Nightmare will probably affect the outcome of Underverse more than any other characters. They’re both pissed about what Error did: all those people that Dream cared about were murdered, and Nightmare can no longer generate negative feelings from innocents. They both have invested interest in this Multiverse war now, and their powers will certainly come to the forefront.

I believe that at the end of the story, the Multiverse will essentially go back to the exact way it was before Xtale was invented. XGaster will be dead, the Xtale characters will be put back in their AU, the other AUs will be restored, and at the end of it all, Dream and Nightmare will be once again pitted against one another. We may even see an alliance between them during Underverse S2 to stop XGaster, but afterwards, they will reestablish their rivalry. Unless the Omega Timeline comes into play, which it very well might, I don’t see the two brothers reconciling.

CONCLUSION:
