it’s always so weird reading a fic or literally anything that takes place in ny and clearly isn’t written by someone who lives here. The tourist lenses are so obvious and tbh whenever nyc is even mentioned in a piece of writing I have to stop and cringe it’s so bad… Please don’t write your characters as tourists in new york I might have a heart attack and die of cringe
the one enstars movie was bad enough for me, I absolutely despise the romanticization of nyc it makes me want to shrivel up and die every time
it is not as nice here as you think it is it’s literally the same as dc, new haven, chicago, (boston too probably but I haven’t been there), etc.
and time square is WEIRD it’s like a tourist hellhole of bright lights and grown adults in character costumes I avoid it at all costs

You guys seriously go “this is my number oc his name is i and he is the square root of -1” when in numbers canon lore it’s actually impossible to square root a negative but sure whatever. “Complex numbers”?
