This is specifically asking about how your enjoyment of the work has changed based on your knowledge of the author's politics. Vote based on that, not based on whether you think the quality of the work itself has gone down.
TERF = trans exclusionary radical feminist. JK Rowling has been very openly anti-transgender in recent years and has poured unfathomable amounts of money into funding anti-trans legislation in the UK.

You know Voldemort though that Snape was the master of Elder wand because he killed Dumbledore. Before he was killed , Dumbledore was the owner of Elder wand. In fact Snape wasn't the true owner.
Draco was the true owner of the Elder wand because he had disarmed Dumbledore.
So Snape had to die because of Voldemort was unknowing of the fact that Draco had been the true owner.
And for the fact why Nagini killed him ? It surely was a really cruel way but (for me) Snape was killed by the animal which is the mascot of his own house. So maybe emphasising the fact that your own people can backstab you.
Snapedom!
Anyone having meta or ideas on why Severus had specifically been killed by a snake? Why would Voldemort, despite admitting that Severus had been a loyal servant to him and showing no signs of suspicion in his loyalty, decide to kill him in such a cruel way? And why Nagini, of all snakes?
Thanks in advance for input!

Not gonna lie, JK Rowling making it clear she doesn't understand romantic relationships unless sex is involved somehow explains a-lot about her inability to write romance in her books.

Question for snape fandom
What would Severus be like if he was sorted in Ravenclaw instead of Slytherin?
How different would his life be? Would he and Lily still be friends? Would the death eaters recruit him? What would his house life be like in hogwarts? Would he have more friends?
We need to ask these questions

it makes me really sad to see you use the harry potter costume in your post knowing the implications of what supporting jk rowling means. it's ignorant at best and makes it so trans people can't feel comfortable with you
i’m so sorry that my post made you feel uncomfortable and/or sad, that really wasn’t my intention. i thought the harry potter costume looked cute on my sim because i really like the harry potter movies, but didn’t think about how that would come across. for the record, i don’t support jk rowling and anything she thinks or says. her views literally couldn’t be more far apart from mine. 💀

I'm fully in support of "don't give JK 'Transphobia Georg' Rowling money or publicity" initiatives but I think we can do that effectively while sticking to the point of why voting with your wallet is useful and not letting it descend into weird psychic morality cooties logic.

What is your Hogwarts house?
Pottermore Official assigned me SlytherPuff (yeah I was one of those weird combo kids) a decade ago; which I thought was whack AF but as I’ve gotten older, and gotten to know myself better, I completely understand.
I always, very much loved Slytherin House as a kid (and still do) because I was very ambitious, determined, clever, and resourceful. And I still think I am all of those traits today, more so than anything else (especially determined). Like I knew I was a kid who could shoot for the moon and land there while also landing on Mars and Neptune and fucking Pluto if I wanted.
The Hufflepuff house threw me off because I was raised in a Toxic Household™ and all Hufflepuff traits are “the bad things” (according to The Way I Was Raised™) . Until I realized that hard work, patience, loyalty, fairness, dedication, and justice were all WONDERFUL things. And traits I truly value and thusly still carry as a person.
Turns out my mom was right when she said I should get a law degree (no one ever tell her that, so help me God). The SlytherPuff appointment makes more sense to me now than ever.
I work so hard, because I am ambitious and determined enough to fight for fairness and justice. I am loyal to my values, and I’m dedicated because I believe I am clever and resourceful enough to help change the world in any way that I can.
I always thought Slytherins got a bad rep, and getting a Slytherpuff diagnosis just confirmed that people can want good in the world and then be the good in the world.
Prouder of my SlytherPuff affiliated traits now than when I was 16.
But on that note, FUCK JK Rowling, and everything she has done to Harry Potter and it’s legacy. But I guess I can find value in knowing that my sheer existence triggers JK Rowling in every way possible. That’s what you get for making Slytherin and Hufflepuff the worst houses, you delusional psychopath.

So there was a discussion on Twitter today regarding Harry Potter tattoos and how there are more people regretting Potter tattoos than there are people regretting gender affirming care, and someone mentioned that their wife had HP tattoos but doesn't regret them even though they don't support JKR anymore. Someone replied to them saying "your wife's okay parading the marks of a TERF on her skin? Gross".
Perhaps unwisely, I decided to try and get involved in a respectful way.

I was going to write a whole deep and long post but I'm out of spoons quite frankly and just want to eat some ice-cream while watching a comfort movie or show, so maybe I'll write a full explanation/explain things better another time, but right now I just don't have the spoons.
All I'll say is this: I have spent MANY years wearing bandages on my wrists - I think I'd rather not have my family, friends and co-workers thinking I've hurt or tried to k*ll myself again to be honest.

hi sorry can I ask a question about your tags on the last post? you mentioned "rowling's rage fit about lotl" and I haven't seen anything about that, what happened? totally ok if you don't want to talk about that anymore ofc <3
Hey anon! Thank you for asking and sorry for the somewhat late reply. You might have seen it yourself by now, if not I made a post about it here where I included three screenshots of her tweets.
Since I don‘t really enjoy giving myself the headache to check Rowling‘s twitter page very often, I only found out about it through German newspapers (some of them didn‘t get her sarcasm though, so yeah, for some people in Germany she will have the reputation of liking gender-queer Goth-Metal now, which is kinda funny because it would totally annoy her :D).
Basically she dedicated around 10 sarcastic tweets to them, more than to any of the other contestants. Some of them may make it seem like she actually liked the performance, but knowing her stance about gender queerness and also seeing some of her replies to other users make it clear that her words were only mocking. So it wasn‘t really a 'rage fit' (kinda exaggerated there for stylistic purposes, sorry :D), but given the amount of attention she spent on Lotl, just seeing male-presenting people freely expressing their gender identity must have really made her blood boil.
One more thing that I cannot stress enough: Don‘t look (too much) on social media these days, such as the replies to Rowling‘s tweets, but also the comment section under Lotl‘s performance. There is so much triggering homo- and especially transphobia there, it‘s bizarre. Just know that whatever you feel, however you want to express yourself, you are not alone.
