Note
im not a hater and not here to bully you, but the game is very antisemitic and i just feels wrong for to completely ignore that part and exclusively only talk about the transphobia when it comes to jkr when she’s also very clearly antisemitic with the way she writes the goblins. i think you can still play the game while speaking out against the antisemitism within the game
I appreciate you not sending me negative messages or death threats. I have been bullied and sent death threats bc of me posting a single photo of the game so I appreciate you opening up a respectful conversation.
I wasn't aware of the antisemitism themes happening in the game nor do I support antisemitism or any hatred towards Jewsish people. I'm not trying to open an entire conversation about this bc I don't think it will solve anything. The real issue isn't the game, it's the people behind it. The people who are transphonic, homophobic and spreading their hate for Jewish people. I know this might not change anybodies minds but I have autism and Harry Potter has been my special interest (obsession more like) since I was 4 years old. I'm 24 now and have spent 20 years deeply invested in this story and this universe. My love for Harry Potter isnt ever going to go away or change. Thats a fact and people have also spent a lot of time trying to make me hate Harry Potter and that's never going to happen.
I don't think people buying this game means they're antisemitic or transphobic or homophobic. I don't think purchasing the game says anything about who they are.
I know I'm going to get tons of replies to this and honestly I'm not going to respond to 99% of them. I will always love Harry Potter and hate JK Rowling at the same time. I'm striving to be an author as well and I hope to create a new environment of acceptance and love within my books and possible community if my books do well. Thank you for reaching out in a respectful way and informing me of the antisemitic themes in the game.
The game isn't the real issue, antisemitism, homophobia, and transphobia is the real issue.
