#art#twisted wonderland#twisted wonderland spoilers#twisted wonderland episode 7 spoilers#twisted wonderland book 7 spoilers#they are truly the most inspiring love story of our generation#though i guess he's not dr. zigvolt since zigvolt is the clan name...#unless he took her name which i absolutely could see. why would you ever not want to be called zigvolt.#this does tie nicely in with my headcanon that sebek's siblings got more of the fae features than he did#and he has a Complex about it#i get the impression that sebek's siblings are much closer in age to each other and also have more of their dad's chill#so sebek is sort of the baby of the family and he's got a Complex about that too#i think a lot about the zigvolt family for characters who have never actually appeared#on the subject of actual canon though#i do actually really appreciate that both sebek and silver each had a little moment of reassuring each other#that this is 400 years ago and also incredibly unfortunate circumstances#and present-day reality lilia and baul love them very much#(i do think sebek is secretly baul's favorite grandkid)#it was just nice to see! especially from sebek! he is sometimes a very thoughtful boy and it's always nice to see that side of him#sebek trying SO hard to get baul to like him though 😭#and lilia being like 'aw i think you're getting kind of fond of him :)'#i love. #kingdom hearts#kh#ahh this one was so hard to draw; i never know how to combine a bunch of scenes in one picture without it looking cheesy#just threw a bunch of waves and leaves and birds on top and called it a day haha. it might be a bit too busy though#the white line going up the center is supposed to be a trail left behind by the gummi ship! it connects to the ship in the bg at the top#it's kinda meant to evoke little kids dreaming of other places-> getting older and earnestly making the raft to try to reach the dream#->the gummi ship as a premonition of how they'd actually reach the dream in the future. i guess? idk how to explain#and i really wanted to have kairi's expressions be really similar but changing subtly from wonder to worry when she's older#the boys are just max enthusiasm the whole time#but yeah. something something Symbolism and hopefully it's at least kinda pretty if it doesn't make sense#i'm just super proud to have been part of this project! everyone's work is just amazing#the destiny kids give me this soft feeling of kinda lonely nostalgia. it's nice to have a book full of that#very wistful looking through it#fan art#my art#project stuff

Okay I know I'm the most biased person about dadmare, but you can't honestly tell me that if Cross started to mention the way xgaster treated him and his brother as children - the way an adult bullied and belittled and abused them - that it wouldn't make Nightmare see red
#UTDR#UTMV#Dadmare#Like the call is coming from inside the house again!!#Nightmare trying to be detached and collected to prove he doesn't have a familial attachment to his henchmen#And then he hears that Cross was treated badly by adults as a child and he's instantly like ''I'll kill him myself''#I just#Okay#Wick very nicely talked to me about Cross and dadmare yesterday and I'm still whipping it around like a dog with a new toy#LIKE I just think it could be a little healing for both of them#For Cross to get someone in an authoritative role who praises and appreciates him and refuses to treat him like that#And for Nightmare it must be at least a little rewarding to see someone who went through hell as a child and do everything you can to make#-them comfortable and tell them it wasn't their fault#Like I'm sure he still has stuff from his incident to process and maybe sharing it with Cross could do that#Obviously it's not 1 to 1 on what they went through but it might be similar enough to be cathartic#I don't know I just want to see them get along#I want Cross to have a father figure that would tear the multiverse in half to save him#I want Nightmare to learn to love and show it#I want 16 days off work in a row so I can lie in bed and go insane about this

I've come to the conclusion that being assigned the fandom-mandated "sunshine character" is the worst possible fate a character could face
#maybe I'm just biased because the characters that this happens to tend to be some of my favorites but I think I'm onto something#these characters aren't allowed depth of emotion or complex inner worlds. once a character is fanonized as the 'ray of sunsine'#or the 'cinnamon roll' they cease to occupy any space outside of that role in fanon content. they're happy & silly & not much else#no matter how much depth they may actually have in canon.#popular fanon has a tendency to treat happiness & goodness like states without any emotional complexity.#emotional complexity is reserved for the anti-heroes & jerks-with-a-heart-of-gold you see.#atp 'X is a ray of sunshine' has begone to feel like code for 'I don't actually care about this character very much nor do I understand#their canon narrative so I'm just gonna ignore them 98% of the time. but hey they're really nice! that's something! anyways—'#this is about many characters but I particularly want to call out aang & nightcrawler / kurt wagner as two who get this the worst.#because christ the mischaracterization they get from people who never think about them outside of the 'uwu small bean' box is infuriating#also steven universe & miles morales. although it's not so bad for steven after suf#fandom bs#please pretend I typed 'begun' a few tags back

My take on Baxia and Huaisang's unnamed saber, inspired by CQL's designs
#cql fanart#mdzs fanart#baxia#nie mingjue#nie huaisang#by extension lol#baxia gets no sleeves because she has no scabbard#nhs' saber gets brown robes because he has what looks like a wooden scabbard#i couldn't get a good picture of the patterns on said scabbard though so the belt is an approximation of what's actually engraved in it#baxia on the other hand has many many nice shots so i tried to fit as many patterns and textures and details as possible#i know she's not evil but the blood was fun#(and she's often a little bloody so i guess its fine)#i've been calling nhs' saber suan ni (狻猊) in my mind to keep the nine sons of the dragon naming theme but i'm not sure if the fonts i found#are right about the mythical creature actually being calm and contemplative rather than hardworking and fierce so i decided not to add#the name on the drawing#i could have made him fancier bc the scabbard if very nice but since nhs doesn't use it i thought he should look more plain#i tried not to make them 'nmj as a girl and nhs in brown clothes' but alas it is what it is now ><
