LIVEBLOG: Wakfu Season 4, Episode 12
Tumblr media
I will be honest: if Joris started seriously using this thing he would simply get scared like "WHAT IF I AM GOING TO DIE ON ACCIDENT AND NOT NOTICE DOING TOO MUCH". Also, his pride wouldn't allow him to overindulge.
What I'm getting at, is that his usage of this thing is literally the most in-character, funniest thing that he could have possibly done.
Tumblr media
Yes. It's the demons again. I don't actually have anything to add. He looked pretty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
>touch eldritch artifact that feeds on life energy to make people powerful >use it to enhance your nonexistent magical huppermage abilities that were killed both by lack of education and the fact you have a weird fucking dragonized body to summon a tresstump magic wand from a different country >stop using eldritch artifact in any way Literally nobody does it like him. I can just hear him praying that nobody notices or thinks he's weird. But I do. I do.
...If he didn't have The Stump on his mind, he probably wouldn't have stepped anywhere close to this thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I thought about how many times Joris has probably had to read out war speeches, to be able to pull something this good sounding out with no preparation, and got a bit sick in the head.
There is nobody better to read out a speech like this, I think. I don't have any thoughts because I am now clinically insane.
Tumblr media
At this point, they have discussed the plan for infiltrating the Necro world.
Tumblr media
And I keep thinking about the fact that, Just like everyone in this place, Joris has a family to return to and protect (<- taking poison damage actively) and that Joris, like everyone else, is distinctly aware that if they die — not only will their loved ones be sad, they'll also be dead as well.
I really like this little moment of "I really hope you know what you're doing (I don't know what we're doing, and I'm scared)" and the way his voice sounds worried...
I can read complex emotional motivations into ANY Joris dialogue. Just watch me. The worms inside my brain guide me.
Tumblr media
The little nod as their plan commences...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Joris + Sword = Atchan behaviour, then Joris + his stupid log = Kerubim behaviour... From his full-front and full-back pirouettes, to the way he holds positions himself.
As I've said, while it might not be Ankama's intention even now, Joris's fighting style has always resembled Kerubim and Atcham a lot. Which would fit, considering they were probably the ones to actually teach him to fight. (However, by now, I'd be sad if it wasn't their intention...)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though in the original movie scripts, I'm pretty sure it was Kerubim was the one who actually gave him the log and taught him to use it... So, maybe my jokes about Joris's style in the first seasons are actually pretty-on point and Joris's fighting style has always been based off his?
Whatever the fuck is going on with Joris and Kerubim's bond is at this point, like, written in the fabric of the universe. It's a big comfort to know that the one and only reason I began liking Joris as a character (that reason being his relationship with Kerubim) has always existed in some way
...Ankama please make Kerubim teaching Joris to use the log as a weapon canon already! For years, even before researching movie history, my headcanon has been "Kerubim asked Joris what weapon he'd like to learn to use first — expecting the answer to be something like "a staff" or "a wand" due to Joris's lineage... and Joris responded with "yours :) blunt damage to the bones yippie" which was unexpected but pleasant."
Tumblr media
I'm fucking crazy you know. Yugo took Joris's hit... The way Joris softly says "Yugo! :(". The way he immediately rushes at Toross... Friendship is so real and poignant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joris "I can't show people they're getting under my skin or that I'm uncomfortable bc that's a sign of weakness" Jurgen saying this is just. you know that he's just fucked. that he's stressed out. and maybe scared of dying. if he was feeling normal, he would not fucking say this.
He probably means this in a "you're not even the 1238423th person that I outlived and defeated to try and get at me like this" but it comes across as "I'm so tired of it".
He's always been disrespected. No matter how hard he tries or how hard he works, everyone just treats him like a child, calls him a little guy at best, a midget at worst — even if he is a politican, even if he is 600 years old. Every person that doesn't know him tutoyers him. Even his family sometimes treats him like a child — albeit for different reasons.
He has 20 mental illnesses, and half of them would be solved by indiscriminately shooting anyone who calls him "petit" or "nabot" or "garçon" with a gun.
[walks into the sea]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the first watch-through, I genuinely cheered and clapped. Ya!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kill him Joris. Kill him and be reborn as a lotus flower.

Anora- ★★★★★ (Spoilers)
Tumblr media
First Watched- 10/18/2024
Anora broke my heart.
Now, I don’t want to be that guy, but I feel like this movie was made for me. I don’t want to be that guy, but I’ve been on board with this film since Mikey Madison’s casting. Additionally, when this movie won the Palme d’Or a day after my birthday, I was locked in. I figured this movie was sent down from a higher power just for me, and I was right.
When I think of Anora, I think less of the comedic moments than I think of the echoes of the tragedy of Anora herself. Anora is a story about difference. It is a story about love, and how that larger-than-life, human feeling can manifest in the most unexpected ways.
One of the reasons this film is so effective is how these deeply human themes can be so prevalent behind humor. The movie plays into irony so well- in fact, I think this is one of the funniest movies of the year. There were points where my hand would fly to my mouth so I wouldn’t, like, cause a scene. This is mostly due to the fact that the dialogue in this film is so sharp, and most importantly, so real. Sean Baker’s writing oozes charisma, and the actors accentuate that beyond what I could’ve imagined.
Mikey Madison is a star. I seriously believe she is locked in for the Oscar, or, at the very least, she deserves to be. When I read and watched the interviews behind the making of Anora, I was in awe of how much passion and care she brought to the role. Even the supporting actors and actresses were on a different level, however, I want to specifically mention Yuriy Borisov, who played Igor. Exploring that, even before the film starts, the audience, through the marketing, is led to believe that this film is a love story between Ani and Ivan. The surprising beauty of this film, though, is the bond that her and Igor develop throughout the course of the film. The whole series of events throughout this film focuses on Ani and Ivan, yet, by the end of the film, Ani and Igor’s forced proximity bond is finally given the opportunity to shine through.
Something else I want to gush about is the visuals; this movie is gorgeous. I was lucky enough to catch a 35mm showing at the Brooklyn Alamo Drafthouse with my sister, and our experience was unforgettable. The sheer clarity in the colors was just out of this world. Actually, to expand on that, something about Anora that really did catch my eye was the color. Ani herself is advertised in red. In all the promotional material for the film, she’s got either red nails, red shoes, red outfits, or red accessories. This is really interesting because Ivan, in contrast, is usually seen wearing clothes with blue highlights. This is explored ingeniously by the Vegas-bender scenes. In Vegas, Ani, wearing a red bikini, is in an outdoor pool, with the water and sky taking up most of the screen. I find this important because it serves as a direct mirror to her first meeting with Ivan. At first, the two met on Ani’s “home turf,” so to speak. When Ani first meets Ivan, it’s at HQ, bathed in red light. Compare that to the point in which after agreeing to be exclusive with Ivan for a week, Ani is seen wearing her colors being drowned out by Ivan’s color- blue. Hell, even the scene when Ani first visits Ivan at his house, she is wearing a light blue dress. As she continued going to his house, Ani’s wardrobe got more red. To me, this feels like Baker trying to emphasize not only  the two characters’ differences- how they are two completely different people, but also their individuality, and the strength in that individuality. One of the only times we see the antithesis to this principle is at their marriage ceremony in Vegas, in which both Ani and Ivan wore white; they are both at the same level with the same intention of loving each other. It is also interesting to note that at Ivan’s party to which he invites Ani to, they are bathed in purple lighting. With that, though, as their marriage broke down, so did their colors. By the end of their marriage, Ani is left donning red again with a red scarf(GIVEN TO HER BY IGOR, BY THE WAY) as she has this big crisis of faith in Ivan, while Ivan is left wearing his blue hoodie in broad daylight, as his true colors began to show.
In that, though, is what I find heartbreaking about Anora. Throughout the first third of the film, Ani and Ivan’s romance is given space to breathe and grow. The movie gives the audience time to believe in their romance, emphasized by the chemistry Mikey Madison and Mark Eydelshteyn had. Ivan’s entire family, though, was hellbent on tearing their marriage apart, telling Ani that she doesn’t know Ivan, and that she shouldn’t trust him. The movie, even around the halfway mark, tries to hammer the point home by having Ivan run away when he was confronted by his family. I remember thinking to myself, Okay, he’s gonna come back, because the movie makes the audience want them to make it all the way. The film did an excellent job of putting us in Ani’s shoes, immersing us into her mindset. Anyways, to go back, I wanted to say that this movie broke my heart because Ivan’s family was rightkind of. They were right in the fact that Ani did not know Ivan- that he was just a bachelor- a bratty kid who wanted to blow his money away. The film broke my heart because Ani believed that her Cinderella dreams were coming true, only for the rug to be pulled underneath her by her own husband.
Anora is a film that I expected to love, honestly. That doesn’t stop the fact that the film was an emotional rollercoaster that left me stunned. What Sean Baker and Samantha Quan achieved with this film is something for the history books, and I hope that Anora receives all the critical praise it can get. My experience venturing to Brooklyn with my sister to watch the film was unforgettable, and I don’t think it’s out of the realm of reason to say this film could potentially be an all-time favorite of mine; hell, it’s already probably my favorite film of the year. Call it recency bias, call me crazy, whatever- the feeling this film gave me is not one a regular film can give me- it’s something more. Anora is more than a regular film, and needs to be experienced by everyone.

How would the others feel/react to karkat and eridan being moirails?
Or tav and gamzee being moirails? or kanaya and aradia being moirails! (I don't remember if you had mentioned them in your re-write) or equius being the auspistise of dave and tavros??
idk I like to explore the relationships and feelings of the characters
haha i'll save erikar for last because it's the funniest one
Kanaya and Aradia are pretty much a no-brainer to people - they're both fairly calm and collected already, so while they are serving to curb each others' worst tendencies (Aradia's recklessness and Kanaya's willingness to stop caring about people she doesn't like), they're really chill and overall not a wholly unexpected development once Kanaya's moirallegiance with Vriska falls through. they're girl best friends. girl married. they confer with each other about who to kill. when they finally do agree on murdering someone's ass Watch Out. Since neither of them particularly need the moirallegiance - it helps, but it's never going to be an emergency measure for the two of them, unlike the other highbloods - it's kind of deemphasized for them both, and they tend to gravitate more towards their flushed partners. also, do yall think about how kanaya fights the undead and aradia communes with ghosts. the spooky wlw vibes
gamzee and tavros, meanwhlie, garners a kind of "oh god, of COURSE it's those two" response. They rank among the two most disliked members of the team, with Tavros's blatant weakness a mirror to many other characters, who have insecurities about being weak - and with Gamzee's facade as the super chill clown at odds with their society's insistence on death, murder, and violence. However, finding true acceptance in Tavros, Gamzee would probably drop the act, which ironically lets him make more genuine connections and friendships with the rest of the team; meanwhile, having the super scary clown by Tavros's side makes Tavros much more comfortable with standing up for himself and asserting his own independence, because if he doesn't, gamzee will probably start killing people talking to gamzee makes him feel braver because gamzee genuinely believes in him and likes him.
dave/tavros/equius is just treated by the rest of the team as Extremely Funny. Dave's friends won't stop giving him shit over it. however, tavros and equius keep getting people who go "nice work" and "congrats man" because a stable and healthy auspicetism like they have is super rare. dave is in hell
pale erikar is definitely one of those things where, once it DOES happen, everyone around them is like "oh god, it was so obvious all along." like, the people on their team were vaguely aware that the two of them were buddies, but Karkat was always privately embarrassed by how often he talked to eridan (canonically, All The Time), and nobody fucking listens to eridan anyway, so for the longest time, their friend group kind of shrugged and assumed they were platonic friends, and any weird vibes they might've picked up to the contrary were just Karkat and his vascillatory too-many-feelings nonsense because he's got such a big bleeding pusher.
In fact, the only person on the team who seems to notice they've got a pale something-something going on is gamzee, but gamzee has a palecrush on karkat so he's deliberately not telling anyone and trying to keep them apart lmao. feferi like unironically notices that eridan and karkat talk so much that eridan has nothing left to talk about with his actual moirail, but doesn't connect the dots that eridan is having an emotional affair (i'm sorry feferi you deserve better HAHAHA)
once it DOES happen, there's kind of a vibe of "wait, really, karkat? THAT guy?" because their relationship - on the outside - reads as incredibly non-traditional. it's implied that insults and death threats are, like, just how they regularly talk to each other (after karkat threatens eridan's life and thrashes him verbally, eridan goes "haha i can always count on you for some good ironic banter, nobody else gets our sense of humor ^w^"), and karkat can basically calm eridan down just by saying hello, whereas eridan keeps karkat calm by saying the most bizarre, hostile, unempathetic shit anyone's ever heard (imagine the "are you like, legit sad?" post). they both have MASSIVE insecurities about appearing weak to other people, so all of their feelings jam stuff happens so far out of the public eye that people genuinely think it never happens at all.
the only thing, publicly, that changes about how they already hang out with each other is that sometimes they'll make out... which you are generally not supposed to do with your moirail. actually everybody on the meteor (besides the humans that don't Get It) are like bro... you two are NASTY. more of karkat's vascillatory, cant-keep-his-quads straight nonsense. Eridan's down for anything as long as he's getting attention, so he's a pretty enthusiastic partner, but then afterwards he's always like "this is why you can't get a concupiscent date :///// you keep doing shit like this w/ your moirail. you have problems"
like that's one of the funniest things about pale erikar imo... it's that 90% of the time it's KARKAT who needs calming down. eridan's always on the verge of a murderous breakdown, but what that means is that he's also really good at hanging on without breaking, and it's actually super rare that he needs to be pulled back from flying off the handle (esp. as compared to sober!gamzee and equius). karkat, meanwhile, is always on a hair fucking trigger, so the biggest change the friend group sees is actually in karkat, who's so much more chill to be around now that his insecurities about weakness are being patched by having the team's ultra-strong sea dweller at his beck and call. and like, yeah, having karkat as his buddy makes eridan much less desperate for companionship with other people, which makes him more tolerable, but he still mostly sucks to be around, he's just less in-your-face about it. so people put up with the grossness of the vascillatory stuff, and cringe of it being ERIDAN of all people, because they're like, well, he's making karkat happy.

Thoughts on Pops' sidekicks? Yata, Mariya, Melon, that glorified babysitter from island of assassins, etc etc [places ask before the beasts' cave and slowly backs away]
[the beast sniffs the air, catching a faint whiff of tokyo crisis and bolts out of the cave like its prey drive has been activated] i may or may not have a particular favorite one off girl that i have been studying like bacteria in a petri dish for years, and this ask may or may not have looked like this to me
Tumblr media
BUT YES!! I HAVE MUCH TO SAY
i think the secret to a good backup lupin character is to emphasize how mundane and comparatively normal they are IN A GOOD WAY OF COURSE! your supporting character needs to SUPPORT and the easiest, funniest way to do that, is to have them be just some guy. they can be weird, but they can’t be weirder than our main features. they can be cool, but they can’t be cooler than our main guys. you get it?
and since it’s so fucking easy to make ANYBODY seem normal standing next to zenigata, you’d have to work pretty damn hard to beat the first point, so the most important thing HERE is to have them resigned to their fate. you will not stop him. it is impossible to stop him. he will not even acknowledge that you DID, in fact, try to stop him. really, the most you can do is catch the back of his coat before he accidentally steps into traffic when he's on autopilot
melon is probably the funniest in terms of this resignation because if anything he delights in having a front row seat. he’s not stopping shit! and you got like the old men that were just grinning and not even TRYING to keep him alive in episode 0 and twilight gemini, which i guess makes them beat out melon in terms of “it is what it is.” and then in the middle mariya is like, “ok, not letting him die but also he’s just not fucking listening to me and honestly when else am i gonna get a chance to partake in a car chase!! let’s go.” and then yata is slowly approaching the mariya level of stress because he’s clearly begun to realize if he has a panic attack every single time zenigata almost gets himself killed he’ll die of a heart attack before hes even 30. and. oh god i watched island of assassins and i remember proto-yata but i can’t even think of his name now. something very american. jimmy? BUT HE NEVER ACCEPTED THE FACT HE COULDN’T STOP ZENIGATA hence his Weakness in comparison. i also am vaguely aware that one special has this cop lady working with him but she ends up secretly being evil but i haven’t seen that one yet and also she’s. evil. so i imagine she wouldn’t count anyway so WHATEVER THERE’S OUR RANKING OF THE PEACE THEY’VE MADE WITH THE SITUATION
you can ALWAYS give pops a weird tagalong. it is ALWAYS correct! there’s four thieves and only one of him, which means you gotta give him SOMEBODY to work off of! i will always be pro-sidekick just because it makes him funnier or even adds a tiny bit of unexpected depth (him telling yata he understands if he quits the case, really everything he does in response to learning about mariya’s father/childhood, etc), and as a bonus, you might even get a really good character in their own right! all because they thought “damn. this is a little unfair isn’t it. have this guy follow him around for an hour”
i have the science of this down pat. IN FACT THIS WHOLE THING IS PROBABLY WHY I’M SO #PROYATA I LOVE GOOD DYNAMICS! THE BEAST THANKS YOU FOR LISTENING

okay it's way too late to continue working on chapter 6 of FQTP and I can't really pull an all-nighter cuz I got medical check-up in the morning for my unexpected job (my ao3 writer notes are gonna be fucking insane), so i'm gonna be rambling about the random stuff that i've been doing today
i finally started doing the natlan archon quest and GOD THE PRIMAL FEAR THAT I FELT IN MY SOUL when Ajaw spoke for the first time
Tumblr media
for context i play genshin with japanese voiceover and with the new region we got a number of new characters (welcome to gacha world) and two of them are Kinich and Ajaw who are always attached at the hip but also argue a lot. and whoever is responsible for casting decisions in the japanese department really loves doing silly funny little things, thus Kinich is voiced by Sugiyama Noriaki, while Ajaw is voiced by Takeuchi Junko.
Yes, we've got Sasunaru in Genshin Impact.
This is not even the funniest thing that japanese dub did here. Half of major characters in Fontaine arc were literally voiced by people from the Attack on Titan's cast. Ono Daisuke (and his most famous role is arguably Jotaro from JJBA) voices Wriothesley there. Only in japanese dub Wrio does the "ora-ora" thing. It's insane and surreal and I love every second of it.
anyway, back to the original point, Ajaw appears and he sounds excatly like Naruto. my soul started to leave me when i was confronted with the idea that Kinich is seconds away and can sound just like Sasuke. thank god Sugiyama did the less bitchy and more calm pitch, otherwise i would have been bouncing off the walls screeching like a vulture.
also there was an absolutely hilarious explanation on what a piligrimage in natlan is. close enough, welcome back chunin exam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
at least after the piligrimage your god will resurrect you if you actually die fighting in the war. after a chunin exam the leader of the village will give a pocket knife and, if you are really lucky, a pat on the back. oh, the enemy village is dropping an damn entire cave on your head? gotta pray that your moldy ancestor and his army of undead cacti is somewhere nearby, grandpa hiruzen is too busy smoking that pipe🚬😎🚬😎🚬😎🚬😎
after that i read the latest chapter of csm and HOOO BOYYYY WHAT THE HELL FUJIMOTO
that shit was absolutely insane.
first of all, i am crying from the fact that fuji is capable of writing incredibly complex and realistic female characters, but can not draw them for his life. like lmao what even is that.
Tumblr media
anyway, this is the least interesting thing that happened during this chapter, BECAUSE HOLY MOTHER OF LORE BOMBSHELLS WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT
Tumblr media
YORU HAS BEEN A MOTHER THIS ENTIRE TIME? MOREOVER A MOTHER OF TWO? THE FANDOM'S BEEN CALLING MAKIMA MOMMY FOR YEARS AND NOW WE LEARN THAT THE REAL MOMMY HAS BEEN YORU?
Tumblr media
ALSO HER CHILDREN? GUN DEVIL??? THE SAME ONE FROM PART 1???? THE SAME ONE THAT TOOK OVER AKI BEFORE BEING KILLED BY DENJI????? HOLY FUCK DID MAKIMA REALLY SPEND AN ENTIRE PART MAKING UP BEEF WITH HER NEPHEW?????
Tumblr media
(also on unrelated note it's always such a jumpscare/reason to lol whenever there's a sudden reminder that soviet union is still a thing at the end of the 90s in csm lore. thanks pochita)
Tumblr media
anyway yoru ate and left no crumbs holy fuck. happy motherhood reveal day i guess, being a terrible mother figure likely runs in the family.
but also it's so funny how the devil family tree is getting to the point where we really should be doing the infographics like JoJo fandom has. for now we certainly know about the Horse(wo)men of Apocalypse aka Conquest (Makima then Nayuya then ehhhh good luck Denji), Famine (Kiga), Death and War (Yoru) and War's got babies in Gun and Tank devils. hopefully in a few years the entire plot devolves into a gigantic family drama i will die from crying of laughter.
(also fuji is so fucking real for making the four of the most powerful devils to be all women. my man.)
but the implications of this chapter are fucking insane, cause are Gun and Tank the only Yoru's kids? Did the Weapon Hybrids use to be her children? Is it possible for Chainsaw devil to be born of her as well? Nuclear Weapons devil is supposed to be inside Pochita and Yoru refers to them as her comrades??? Anway holy shit just what a chapter.
(but also Makima's monologue about getting rid of death, famine and war sounds very reasonable rn cause wtf those insane bitches that happen to be her sisters are birthing into this world)
i am also so insanely hyped for Death Devil, because she is bound to be absolutely fucking insane, like horror beyond human comprehension. also i feel like she has to not only be one of the Horse(wo)men, but a Primal Fear as well like Darkness and Aging (I believe that's what the most recent one was supposed to be)? the entire devil classification system is so confusing lmao
(also i remembered my shock at chapter 167. like. i wrote the finale for LTFG about a month before it was released and then i read it and was like. do i and fujimoto go to the same astral plane where the voices are whispering to us that we must do a handjob in a seedy alley scene? lmao)

Makoto's route. Dark 08
Characters mentioned: Makoto Aomine, Ayato Sakamaki, Madame Sugimoto
*The Flashback starts*
Makoto: (After uncle's death I was sent to Convent of Saint Maria. Of course i was, uncle Shinmei worked in it's church. But the person who helped me with documents and moving was Madame Sugimoto, my best friend's mother. She was shocked by the fact of my uncle's death but then quickly calmed and offered me her help. As if someone said the magic spells.
I entered Ryotei's academy after a year of uncle's death. When he died I was only 15. Madame Sugimoto tried her best to support me, but her most valuable thing for me was to make me Ryotei's student, because my uncle also wanted me to get a good high school education if I didn't want to help him in the church. And I didn't.)
Makoto: (The second week of studying here and I still can't make friends with this guy Sakamaki Ayato. I saw him playing basketball at school's tournaments, and it was absolutely stunning. He is very skilled... Maybe, he also got the place here because of sport's achievements? Or he's very busy during the daytime so he entered this night school? But It looks like he is barely studying. Tho, there are also a lot of offsprings of some rich people like politicians. Tougo Sakamaki is doing something like that, I guess)
*Location: PE hall*
Makoto: (There he is! Playing alone. That's my chance.)
Makoto: Hey, Sakamaki-kun? I'm Aomine Makoto from the parallel class, you could have seen me in Ryotei's athletic team. Just wanted to say, that you're very cool on the field! And I'd also like to... compete with you, to realize the difference between our levels.
Ayato: Ha, You girl want to spar with Yours Truly? Seriously? You have no chance against me. You'll only be out of breath.
Makoto: (Well, he doesn't say nice things at all.)
Makoto: Ha? But please you're so inspiring... I've seen all your performances, your in a God-like shape!
Ayato: Oh, so you're my fan-girl? Ha-ha, how unexpectable.
Makoto: F-fan-girl? I've said that want to compete, I didn't ask for a signature!
Ayato: Puah *yawns* I'd advise a small bug...like you not to waste the time of Yours Truly. Got it?
Makoto: Nah. I'm too dumb and too stubborn to just give up. Really, I don't want to annoy you... But you see, I can't help it! So please!
Ayato: Jeez ya kinda risky, Chichiari*. But I see, a bet will make it clear?
Makoto: A bet? Be more specific.
Makoto: Wait, how did you call me?!
Ayato: As far as I can judge you have some curves. Anyways...
Ayato: We'll spar like ya want, but if Yours Truly wins – you grant my wish. And vice versa. But don't even think you can beat me.
Makoto: Any kind of wish?.. Sounds suspicious.
Ayato: Then get your ass away from here and don't waste my time.
Makoto: Ah, okay! Got it. But we need a witness for the match.
Ayato: A witness? Why?
Makoto: Why do you ask? For supervising of course! The person who should check if everything is fair.
Ayato: Goddammit.
Makoto: We need an independent candidate, so not friends or family...
Ayato: Ha? And if I say that we can't stand each other with my brother?
Makoto: ...
Makoto: Ugh, well...fine?
Ayato: Perfect. So see ya in the right place at the right time.
***
Makoto: (Ayato told me the location, time and what were gonna to do. He was very self confident in all these sports. The person he called for judging was his older brother Shuu. Well, this guy was the worst judge to ever mentioned: he was lying down with one eye open!
So in the beginning we had basketball, then swimming, after that table tennis and sprint. So far the competition began I've won only in swimming, because I've always been a good swimmer. In table tennis competition Ayato caught a great gambling, but somehow he won. But the cross was the funniest thing since on the last distance we both were a bit worn out, and I decided to demonstrate some of the durability and sped up a bit. When I started going a bit farther, I immediately saw Ayato being two or maybe three times faster. I couldn't believe my eyes..)
*on the finish line*
Makoto: Ha.. ha... he is so fast... what speed is that?.. yes, maybe it's not very fair since we're not the same gender, but... How? It's almost non-human speed...
Ayato: Yo, Chichiari. Are you eating the dust? Impressed?
Makoto: More than ever...
Shuu: Ayato has won with the score 3:1.
Ayato: Great job, Mr. judge.
Shuu: ...
Shuu: And how did she even agree on that?..
Makoto: ?
Ayato: Anyways, you're granting my wish. Remember?
Makoto: Hah.. Hah.. I do, I do
Ayato: Then I wait for you on the rooftop. Move your ass there quickly.
Makoto: After running so much you want me to go on the rooftop? Great.
*Ayato goes away*
Shuu: ...
Makoto: (Why is he staring at me like so?.. Do I smell bad?..)
Makoto: Uhm.. Shuu-san, what's wrong?
Shuu: ...
Shuu: It's nothing. Can't figure out if you stupid or wacky.
Makoto: None of these. But what's going on?
Shuu: You are a strange woman. It's easy to deceive you, then.
Makoto: Deceive?.. So Ayato did cheat? And you covered him? We could have a match point!*
Shuu: ... Shut your mouth already. Haah... Why did I even start talking to you.
Shuu: Forget it.
*Shuu goes away*
Makoto: (What?.. Ayato has some kind of a secret?.. Well, he's still waiting for me)
***
*Location: school rooftop*
Makoto: (The cold night wind is knocking me off my feet! It's itchy yet fresh. And the full moon... It's so big and bright, like a shiny yellow coin.
I feel so lonely lately. Is it because I can't forget about uncle Shinmei? Well, I will never forget... I just want the pain to be easier.)
Ayato: Did that lazy ass tell you something?
Makoto: Why do you ask? Well, Shuu-san called me a weirdo, or.. It looked like I don't know something. I'm easy to be deceived.
Ayato: ...
Ayato: Atleast you don't look too difficult to understand.
Makoto: ?
Makoto: Anyways, you called me here. What's your wish since now I'm a loser? Although... to lose to someone like isn't half bad.
Ayato: ...
Ayato: A wish, huh.
Makoto: Yes, a wish. Don't tell me that you haven't made it up.
Makoto: (He suddenly looks very brooding. Why?.. As if he hesitates. Or changes his mind...)
Makoto: Is everything okay? You look dull, tho a second ago there was rejoice on your face
Ayato: Ha-ah? Don't look at Great Ayato-sama too much or you'll pay for that!
*Ayato suddenly comes closer*
Makoto: What's wrong with you! Hey, something happened?..
Makoto: (It's bad. We are at the rooftop. The only way I can escape is downstairs, otherwise... I'll fall off the building)
Ayato: *pants*
Ayato: It's a strange feeling... In my chest.. Also this thirst, damn moon.
Makoto: Gosh, are you weather dependent? How's your blood pressure?
Ayato: blood pressure...
Makoto: God, it's lame you feel bad right now when we're so far from the infirmary!
Ayato: It's not about health.. You don't know, right..
Makoto: I don't know? What?
Ayato: This feeling in my chest... like I feel empty and–
Makoto: Is it sorrow?..
Ayato: I feel lonely. I don't know why so suddenly.
Makoto: I also feel lonely. I.. You see, I don't have any friends. No one to be with, no one to talk to. My only friend is an autistic girl, a neighbour, actually. And here in school I barely can find anyone who wants to spend their time with me
Ayato: Let's.... be friends then....
Makoto: Ah? Is it your wish, perhaps?
Ayato: Ha-ha, no. I'll put my wish off. Till the time comes.
Makoto: This is sus! Although, I don't mind it.
Makoto: And now, the pinky oath...!
Ayato: What?
Makoto: You're so funny. You don't even know this simple thing. Give me your pinky.
*Ayato extends his hand*
Makoto: Like that. And now listen carefully
Makoto:
No war, no war, no war
Let us fight no more. If you're gonna fight
I am gonna bite
but the biting has no sense
I will kick you through the fence
And the fence will break apart
Let's repeat this from the start!
Ayato: Um..ugh...Is it so meaningful?
Makoto: It's an oath! Of course it is. At least for me.
A lonely
Strange
Missed girl...
***
Makoto: (Since then we became friends. Our friendship was lasting for months, but I thought were meaningful enough to each other. Sometimes we played sport games together, sometimes we went to cafès and Ayato would eat his favorite takoyakis. Sometimes we pranked someone in the hall with the most stupid things. I wanted to call him, but he didn't have a phone. But then, somehow, he got one and we talked about plans where we want to go next. He didn't tell me much about him. I only knew his family is big and he has five brothers. Their father is a politician and don't visit they much. I genuinely liked Ayato. I couldn't have so much fun with Mugi or in her mother's company. Even when Uncle Shinmei played chess with me... it wasn't so fun.
I really thought we were best friends. When he felt bad, I tried to empathize. He also wasn't a jerk when I was sad, but I got to admit, he's very egocentric, but kind sometimes.
But one day everything changed.)
***
*Location: road*
Makoto: (Ayato acts weird today. I don't know why... He's suddenly very annoyed and extremely selfish. Oh, here he is)
Ayato:Oi, Chichiari, go home already.
Makoto: Why so fast? You act too childish today! What's up with you?
Ayato: Nothing, nothing I say. Just go away, don't provoke me!
Makoto: Ha? You kidding me? C'mon, you can say it like a normal person what is wrong and I'll try to help!
*Ayato grips both of her hands*
Makoto: ? (What's wrong...)
Makoto: Why... are you like that?
Ayato: Oi, shut up! Hehe...
Makoto: (What's this playful tone? Shit!)
Ayato: Do you remember that wish thing?
Makoto:Y-yes? Hey, what's going on, I'm scared of you!
Ayato: My wish is you to be silent right now. Better close your eyes
Makoto: What? No way!
Makoto: Ha? (Suddenly I can't move... the grip is so tight...I'm scared...He leans closer... I can feel his breath. Cold. He... holds my arm... His face is now close to my arm... What's he?)
Ayato: *bites*
Ayato: Ha...
Makoto:Wh-what? How can you...bite a skin so...so...deep?..
Ayato: I'm a vampire.
Makoto: !!!
Makoto: (This is so cruel...)
Makoto: So you've been using me all this time? You've just destroyed everything! How can you be so mean...
Ayato: Tch... I couldn't hold it back....
Makoto: It's... It is not fair! I thought... we were friends, don't you think? I...
I am so stupid and it's easy to deceive me.
*The Flashback ends*

Author's notes:
1* – "Chichiari" is the antonym of "Chichinashi" and as far as I remember it is "has boobs" literally. This "term" (lmao) was pointed by several ppl in Fandom so I'm not saying "I've invented this stuff"
2* – In a game of tennis, match point is the situation when the player who is in the lead can win the whole match if they win the next point.

buffy!!
sorry i put off answering this for so long bc i was super busy suddenly and then i was overthinking about rambling too much about my answers asjfkdj but thanks for asking i love an excuse to talk about characters
Favourite character: At the moment Tara from my rewatch (im in the middle of s5 currently) but in general Spike but also Buffy bc shes Buffy you know
Funniest character: I think it has to be Buffy when considering who's funny on purpose. But Spike is also funny on accident by just being a little idiot sometimes
Best-looking character: Gotta say Spike
3 favourite ships: Kinda hard to answer bc I actually dont like most of the relationships on this show that much 1. Obviously Spuffy, I had seen spuffy posts on tumblr ages ago and I was like thinking oh this is probably not gonna be fully canon and then I screamed when s5 and 6 happened. 2. Spike and Drusilla I just think theyre very fun to watch together 3. conflicted between Jenny Calender and Giles, bc it was kinda brief and Tara and Willow, bc I just didnt like Willow as much in later seasons so Im just not fully invested in either I guess
Least favourite character: hmm i dont know when I first rewatched I really disliked Glory and not in a this is the villain way but in a this character is really annoying me way but during rewatching my feelings on lots of characters have changed and theres a lot of characters that have moments or arcs where they annoy me a lot but none really stands out as a least favourite
Least favourite ship: I dont really hate any ship but I guess Xander and Anya I just didnt get why they got together besides wanting to have sex (shoutout to bangel just for constantly being brought up again like it was fine it made sense for the story but he left after s3 pls let him just leave)
Reason why I watch it: Its felt very just fun and different from what I had been watching before in a refreshing way. Really liked how things would be unexpected but it wasnt being over the top just kinda a genuine fun time. Then Spike was introduced and I got Spike brain worms lmao
Why I started watching it: Basically bc of Spuffy and I saw gifsets ages ago probably around 2013 and I was like seems like a cool show and then I saw Spuffy gif sets and I was like oooh and I remember seeing a video of him having to sing to Buffy in Once More With Feeling and being sold on the ship and then on top of that I found out he's a vampire so I was so in. I didnt really see much of it later but I think I just heard things about it being influential and just good in general so I was like ok I need to watch it sometime and then I started watching it as a chill show while working on my bachelor thesis (ended up only getting to it like 10 years but shh)

Keke “The Gag Is, I Hope I Don’t Sound Ridiculous, I Know It Ain’t, I Know It Ain’t The StAAllion, Sorry To This Man, That’s A Slave Hymn” Palmer is the funniest person on the Internet. At just 31, Keke Palmer an industry veteran, having starred in her first film (The Barbershop 2: Back in Business) when she was only 11. Since then, she’s been accumulating jobs like Thanos collects infinity stones—doing everything from hosting a talk show, to voice acting work, and even performing in the Broadway version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (yes, the iconic and underrated musical originally starring Brandy and Whitney Houston). After a few years playing characters in more serious drama and horror films (Pimp in 2018, Hustlers in 2019, and Nope in 2022), Palmer is returning to her comedic roots. Set in Los Angeles, One Of Them Days is a buddy comedy wherein Dreux (Palmer) and her best friend and roommate Alyssa (SZA) are as close as they are broke—which is to say, very. When Alyssa gives the girls’ rent money to her “stank-ass boyfriend Keshawn” (Palmer’s words, not mine!), the two work together to scrounge up $1500 by the end of the day to avoid eviction. The movie is as funny as Palmer is in real life. The recipe of bad luck, good jokes, physical stunts, and hilarious hijinks creates an absolute treat of a film—the type that has been sorely missing in Hollywood for awhile. When I went to see it in theatres, no one really ever got the chance to stop laughing. Lingering giggles would run into new laugh-out-loud moments constantly. Rounded out with a cast of comedic heavy-hitters like Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, and Katt Williams—and an unexpected but delightful performance from Maude Apatow—One of Them Days is a film that you know you’ll comfort-watch for many years to come, when you’re having one of them days. A couple days after the film’s hugely successful release (According to Deadline, the film earned back its budget of $14 million in its opening weekend), Unbothered caught up with Palmer over Zoom to talk about the movie’s success, working with Issa Rae and SZA, and the power of original and authentic stories. And yes—I was giggling the whole time. Unbothered: I’m gonna start with, of course, a viral interview clip of yours that’s recirculating now. You’re talking about how much you hate the patriarchy. You’re like, “You’re done! You’re done!” [Laughs]. You say that you want the opportunity to be in a buddy comedy like Will Smith. What does it feel like to have finally done that and to have achieved that goal? Keke Palmer: Oh, my gosh! The way that the internet brings back the things that I don’t even know, I’m like, What have I been doing? [Laughs]. It’s so insane! I have to find that one. But I’m honored because, honestly, I was that girl that was just like, “I want to do the stuff that the guys are doing.” I don’t know why it can’t be equalized. So it was exciting to get to do this with SZA—she’s amazing. I feel like even in the comedy and the buddy-ness of [the movie], it’s still so unique to our perspective as young women. It’s an original story, but it also feels so nostalgic in so many ways. For me, I don’t mean to sound biased because, obviously, I’m in the movie, [but] when I first watched Lawrence [Lamont’s] director’s cut, I immediately was like, “I want to watch it again.” Because I like Dreux and Alyssa! With One of Them Days, to see that impact, it just proves that people want to see original storylines and good characters. keke palmer I watched it yesterday and I was dying the whole time. The theater was dying the whole time. It was so funny. And what I loved is that it feels so Black like capital-B Black. There are so many moments that feel so unique to our community. Dreux not having her hair fully done the whole film— KP: He didn’t even dip the ends! [Laughs]. And everyone has done that ponytail when their hair is not done in the middle! [Laughs]. Now it’s the #1 movie in America. How does it feel that a film that’s so unapologetically Black and so for us, by us is achieving this much success? KP: It means what I feel like I’ve always known, which is that everybody likes original and authentic stories, you know what I’m saying? I know we live in a world where there’s so much misogyny, racism, et cetera. But the reality is nobody wants to see the same thing all the time. We all want to see [something] different and outside of our cultures especially. That’s the reason why Black folks love the movie Selena. [Laughs] KP: We’re not Latinx, but we love the storyline because it’s a good movie and she was a beautiful person. I feel like it’s the same thing with One of Them Days. To see that impact, it just proves that people want to see lives. They want to see original storylines and good characters. As long as the script is strong and the movie is put together well, Black, white, women, men—we all should be able to thrive. You’re not only the star of the film, you’re also an executive producer. Issa Rae is also a producer. I know you two worked together for a hot second on Insecure. Having spent more time with her now, what’s something that you feel she does really well as a producer that you try or hope to emulate? KP: [Issa] knows how to bring people together really, really well. She’s able to put the [right] people in the [right] positions [and] really entrust them. When it’s time for her to step out, she’ll step out, but she doesn’t step on anybody’s toes. She’s [also] quite bold and daring, meaning she’s willing to try things and throw things out there. She wants to push, which I love. I loved seeing her get her hands dirty in terms of also being on set and pitching things in real-time. “Hey, they should say this. Hey, she should do this. Let’s add that.” But [she is] also respectful to the director [and to] protocol. A lot of times when people are coming up in any field, they just want to get in and do it [but] there’s a system. There’s a way it works. I love and respect that [she follows it]. Are there any specific examples or moments you can remember where she jumped in with something like a note that ended up in the final cut? KP: Oh, a lot of times! “You looking really alopecious today.” There was stuff in the payday loan scene. [The] tumbleweave. There was a lot. I can’t remember every single one [because] there was so much improv going on. Every scene that we did, she was in the back fishing for something funnier. I love that. Speaking of being on set, SZA did so well. I know that none of us had seen her act before. She was incredible. Your chemistry together was so good. It felt like you guys had been knowing each other for a long time. KP: [Nodding] It got to the point where me and her were like, “Damn, did we know each other in another life?” [Laughs] Did you have any advice for her on jumping into the acting world? KP: I don’t know if I had advice, I just want her to know that I had her back. For me as an actor, that’s what matters the most. Whether it’s two romantic characters or just any character that you’re playing, that person needs to know that you got their back 1000%. I think that’s the main thing. I wanted her to know that we ain’t going to be looking crazy, that we’re about to kill this role, and she can depend on me. I don’t know that she needed me to tell her anything about acting. She came prepared. She showed up and showed out. She’s a natural. It got to the point where me and her were like, ‘Damn, did we know each other in another life?’keke palmer on working with sza I want to play a quick game before we wrap up. Because we’re R29 Unbothered, I want to play a quick game of “Bothered or Unbothered.” I’m going to give you a scenario and you tell me which one. KP: Okay! Your braider cancels last minute, bothered or unbothered? KP: Bothered. She’s done. She’s done. Okay, this happens to Dreux in the movie. Your crush catches you looking crazy outside, bothered or unbothered? KP: I’m unbothered. He has to see me ugly someday. If he can pass this, then great. Okay, your crush has a criminal record, bothered or unbothered? KP: Well, what kind of criminal? Let’s say petty crime. Let’s say petty crime. [Laughs] KP: Petty crime? I’m not bothered. Unbothered. Okay. Last one, when your fans say your quotables back to you, bothered or unbothered? KP: This is the thing. I’m not unbothered because I’m living! Living and loving it. The gag is? KP: The gag is. TMNT Headcanons: Weaknesses
Leonardo cannot cook! I repeat, LEONARDO CANNOT COOK!
Leo definitely does not know his way around a toaster, Donnie has to repair it often, it started off so early during his teens, too. It's also one of the reasons why Mikey is coined as the family chef.
"Don't touch! Shoo!" Donnie exclaims as he slaps Leo's hand away from the toaster. It would be so funny, especially in the 2007 universe.
Leonardo getting back from a long ass trip abroad and coming home to electronics, oh my goodness. I headcanon that he would feel off about NOT hunting for food. Definitely had pizza withdrawal, and tried to mimic the taste (something Mikey would do,) back in South America with mushy berries as the pizza sauce, spoiler: it doesn't taste the same.
Donatello is terrible at social cues. Like, he doesn't read the room very well at times. Especially 2012 Donnie.
***THE blueprint of "Oh she passed away? Um...anyways so,"***
Yall remember when Mikey was literally on his deathbed in the lair and April texted Donnie about where Leonardo was so he decided to cheer about the fact that April texted him,
Donnie: "Oh this is the best day!"
Mikey: *on the couch debating his life choices up until this point*
Donnie: "Oh...well, its had its ups and downs :)"
A LOT of times in the show he gets all scientific during different crises', its seriously comical. Definitely will talk about the laws of physics whilst sneaking around TCRI, gets really excited over alien technology...too excited. He got the spirit, just terrible timing LMAO
Raphael's comebacks are always SOOOO out of pocket. Like, even he takes a second to reevaluate his cleverness.
2003 Raphael fits this headcanon like a glove. Mans really made a "yo mama" joke while being interrogated, you can't say he wasnt a goated character.
Clowns Donnie's inventions ALLL the time, doesn't matter what it is.
and Donnie better hope Raph doesn't catch him using them either.
"Ya're a genius, but damn, bro. A big red button? Look, Mikey, we're savin' tha world with a button! Whoop dee do."
cue the Shellraiser shooting missiles at whatever threat they're facing.
He also jumps the gun on his comebacks...case in point ^^
Also clowns Mikey for being Mikey, especially 2012 mikey.
Raph" "God, I didn't think a mutant could be uglier than Mikey over there!"
Mikey: "Hey! I'm right here!"
Michelangelo has TERRIBLE timing. I mean, cracks a joke during serious moments type of timing
He celebrates wayyyy too early. Always, always, ALWAYS! Definitely bayverse mikey!
Him & his brothers will literally be fighting the Foot & he’s all “AWWW YEAH!” when the soldiers are clear, just for the final bosses to come out the cut unexpected.
Beatboxes while in life-threatening situations, not that it’s a weakness, it’s just NOT the time, Leo let’s him know that.
Overdoes his jokes a lot of the time, ‘specially when it comes to April- when they first cornered her after she took a pic of them? Yikes.
Exchanges like this when they watch a movie or show with any female, what? They’ve only been around April!
Mikey: “Guysssss lil Mike is tingling oohhh!”
Donnie: “Lil Mike?”
Mikey: “Yeah, what? You guys didn’t name your di-“
Leo: “alright time to go,”
Out of all the brothers, I think Leonardo’s headcanon is the funniest!

DHMIS Series Liveblog/Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
Episode 1:
The trio can harmonize surprisingly well
Hearing Red shout was the most jarring part of the episode
It’s interesting how there are parallels to the main series. Red’s connection to phones, the two aging (like at the end of 2), Bird’s eye getting gouged out (that’s like the third time), and, of course, Bird being vored at least once
Someone call the phone numbers. I’d do it but they’re British
I love that briefcase. might be my new favorite teacher
Much like the main series, there’s some great symbolism/meaning to the insanity. I love “you can be anything you want to do” in particular, as well as how Red’s laziness is rewarded while Bird’s efforts are ignored
Episode 2:
Bird/Duck calling himself a crow-like thing is probably a nod to the early fandom days, where he was often mistaken as a crow and it was also used as his nickname for a bit
Think this goes without saying but Bird being dead and having his organs removed parallels ep. 5
I made a joke about the David thing and what that means so I won’t do it again
Always headcanoned Red’s mouth as being terrifying, glad to see that’s been validated
This show is fucking hysterical, they keep getting me when I least expect it
“ew claymation“ JFLKADJS;
the claymation is gorgeous. in fact the whole series is gorgeous
Can I adopt Stain they’re adorable
the Bird that died had maggots so that was Actual Bird. there’s negative continuity here though so that might not matter
glad to see the lamp finally sobered up
Bird’s obsession with the military references ep 2 of the OG series. there’s a black and white photo of him in the military in the BG
the thing with the coffin was hysterical. annoyed the teacher into submission
Episode 3
the ending fucking GOT ME aljdfskl; could they have cut that more perfectly
rare instance of Bird being the straightman instead of Red
confirmed, Bird is the dad and Red and Yellow are siblings. makes perfect sense
once again, phones are bad news
I love how skanked up those human puppets are with the janky eyes
probably the creepiest episode so far in terms of setting
unexpected Roy cameo
this series is impeccably paced. I feel like I’ve been watching for hours but it’s only been and hour and a half
Episode 4
HOW IS THIS SHOW SO FUCKING FUNNY two minutes in and I’m in hysterics already
“keep an eye on grease fire” alkdsjf. also Bird’s window thing was a nod to the second episode when Yellow was remembering him yelling at it for not respecting him
the name bit klakfdjflsa
let Red say fuck
let Bird say dick
weird seeing Colin not killing people
love how the worm eagle is not malicious so much as a fucking simp
Bird is both completely unhinged and also the funniest character in this show
weird wholesome Colin moment
if there’s a worm in your brain, pro tip: go to sleep or shower
Episode 5
I just realized that there are at least three episodes in this show where the teacher fucking dies
Red’s interview on It’s Nice That stated that he loved extreme sports so this isn’t surprising
the guy in the train costume is having a great time
the Clayhill reference fajlkds. this is nothing but in jokes and I love it
“they’re not here” “aw what” AJDFKSL;A; THE SHOW CAN’T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH BEING THIS FUNNY
padlock canon and their kid is whatever the fuck that is. sure why the fuck not
Bird rests his head on Yellow’s shoulder to sleep and that’s adorable
Red just chucks Roy out the window. the correct response
the simulation thing is probably a nod to the main series, which literally took place in a TV
what the fuck was that ending. I sense plotish stuff
Episode 6
I think this is an AU that parallels the original series. so like the original series was a TV show, this is another fabrication. it doesn’t seem to be by Roy this time but that clown thing
love the design of this teacher a lot
this kind of parallels Red’s awareness in ep 6. of the original shorts
once again, the teachers get fucking dunked on. refreshing
oh I noticed the train teacher’s license plate said Lesley earlier. I just assumed that was the teacher’s name
I SUPER do not like the meat teacher running by like that
I also SUPER do not like Lesley outbursts, this is def the most eerie episode
Okay, shitpost thoughts aside, that was incredible (though that’s not surprising; I expect nothing less than Becky and Joe). The animation, puppetry, and sets? Impeccable. The humor? Probably the funniest thing I’ve seen all year. The surreal horror? On point. I am so, so glad we got this series on top of the already perfect original series.
Compared to the original series, this series is a lot funnier and probably less scary as a whole, though it does have its moments. It does an excellent job of expanding upon the original characters personalities and makes them pretty darn endearing. The plot does seem looser (which I’ll talk about below), but they may have planned for a potential second season. I would say that as a whole the original series is better (creepier, hits harder, more satisfying plot and resolution), but A) that was a goddamn masterpiece and I’d be impressed if anything topped it and B) this is still incredible in its own right.
I’ll need to chew on the plot more, but my initial guess is that this is an AU (the wall calendar says June 20 but the characters are their original colors, the teachers are nicer, and Roy is creepy but doesn’t appear to be controlling everything, nor does everything seem to take place in a TV like the original series).
Rather, I think this is telling a similar story to the original series, but in a different way. I noted some of the parallels above, such as Bird’s death, the world being fabricated, and the whole last episode is similar to 6, but with Yellow being the one who “woke up” in place of Red and Lesley replacing Roy. The teachers also don’t appear to be virtual simulations like in the original series.
So in this series, this Lesley character controls everything. She may just be a stand-in for Becky herself, or she may be a new character with her own backstory and reasons for doing this; we’ll probably have to wait and see (the book that was shredded probably would’ve explained this). Just like the original series, the world the puppets live in is fake, sort of a meta commentary on the show itself. It’s worth noting that unlike Roy, Lesley doesn’t seem to be killing the puppets and has a fondness for them to some extent. Make of that what you will.

hello! i hope you’re having a good day so far! :D i was wondering if i could request for some headcanons of la squadra reacting to the fem! reader who’s normally a bit quiet and introverted, but they eventually find out she’s got quiet a perverted mind? like anytime someone says something remotely dirty, she’ll snicker and mumble “that’s what she said!”. and whenever the reader’s watching a TV show and her favorite character (especially one she simps hardcore over) shows up on screen, she’s like “stop lookin’ so fine, you’re making me wanna strip off all my clothes and wait for you to come home so you can fuck me—” (not @ me putting myself on blast 😂😭) the only reason why the reader initially doesn’t show off her perverted jokes to the squad when she first meets them is because how serious their jobs are and they don’t have much time for jokes. plus, she wasn’t sure if any one of the members were comfortable with her making so many dirty jokes, so she just waits until she knows for sure they don’t mind. tysm! <3
Hello! Sorry for the wait! I hope you're having an amazing day!

La Squadra W/ A Dirty-Minded Reader
Risotto
Risotto’s sense of humour is very subtle. He’s more reserved, his laugh and quiet and deep thing that can easily be overlooked.
The things he finds funny are caused by the unexpected – something unusual that happens with animals or people. He also appreciates satire and things that break the norm.
Your commentary is surprising to him. It’s not something he would have expected from you and it almost makes him chuckle the first few times you do it.
He’s happy you’re becoming more comfortable around the group and appreciates the display of your real personality. He often wishes more were honest with themselves.
Eventually you’ll say something outlandish enough that he won’t be able to keep his laughter soft and his deep, rich chuckle will be heard.
Formaggio
Formaggio finds entertainment in pretty much any and all jokes. Dad jokes, pervy comments, it’s all the funniest thing he’s heard to date.
He’s always got something new to chuckle about and he’ll gladly share with the entire group and any passersby. His loud and unabashed laughter draws attention.
The first time you make a comment, he’ll provide a barking laugh and demand you repeat yourself with a smug grin.
He’ll be your greatest ally in jokes. Anything you say, he’ll match and turn into a competition for the best commentary.
The two of you are a perfect combination for terrorizing those in the group who don’t find your humour enjoyable. Formaggio encourages you as much as he can.
Illuso
Illuso’s humour is borderline sadistic in many ways: teasing that oftentimes goes too far and whispered comments to try cause internal strife.
It’s not truly out of pure maliciousness and he often underestimates how harmful his remarks can be. He simply finds the reactions to be funny.
He takes a short second to realise what you’ve said in the beginning, tilting his head to watch you. He’ll need to see the others’ expressions with this.
He’ll respond to your jokes smoothly, adding in quietly against your ear, or teasing you about what you said at a later date.
There’s no way you’ll manage to get him to laugh properly with your comments but you can get him to chuckle which is as good.
Prosciutto
Prosciutto likes to pretend he’s got a ‘higher’ sense of humour. This is especially true when he’s surrounded by other members of La Squadra.
He understands jokes in operas and ballets and will always make sure others know this, though secretly, he finds dirty jokes funnier than some of his ‘sophistication’.
Your perverted mind will certainly surprise him and the first few times will be brushed off and ignored. He blames Formaggio for influencing you.
Expect to receive glares if your comments come at the wrong time or unimpressed stares at your commentary while watching a show.
You can make him laugh though and he will deny it until his dying day. It’s surprisingly simple. Just keep making remarks and eventually his façade falls.
Pesci
Pesci has a wide range of things he finds funny but he sometimes gets too flustered to laugh in front of others, worried they won’t share his opinion on the subject.
He doesn’t actively share his jokes or comments with the rest of the group so he understands when others don’t feel inclined to do so either.
When you make a dirty joke in front of him the first time, it genuinely startles him enough for you to notice due to his expression change.
He’s genuinely happy that you’re becoming more comfortable around him and offers a customary laugh, even if he doesn’t find your comment funny.
You’d be surprised how quickly he picks up on your form of humour. He mimics it, telling you jokes that he thinks you’d enjoy when nobody else is listening.
Melone
Melone, in general, finds humour to lie more in subtle jokes – often rooted in topics that make little sense to those who don’t share his interests.
Medical and biological terminology, astrology, and other things. He doesn’t so much as laugh but instead prefers to chuckle beneath his breath.
When you make a dirty joke or comment around him, he’ll give a small huff to show he heard but will offer no other reaction.
He expected there to be a different aspect to your personality than the quiet front you put up and he’s fairly happy to see that it’s nothing irritating.
He does take note of the people you make the most commentary about, interested to see if your ideal fits into what your star signs and blood type say it should be.
Ghiaccio
Ghiaccio lies and says he doesn’t find dirty humour funny. He lies and says that he dislikes all forms of ‘stupid’ jokes.
The truth is that, while his favourites are videos of animals doing funny (though not getting hurt) things, he honestly can’t help but snicker at comments like yours.
The first time you make a remark about a television character, he turns red and snaps at you to not be ridiculous. It’s a knee-jerk reaction to lecture.
Your jokes will often invoke scowls if they’re said to others or blushes if they’re whispered to him. His irritated huffs are almost as funny as the situation itself.
He never admits to wanting to laugh at some of the things you say and demands that you need to focus on the situation at hand.
Sorbet
Sorbet’s sense of humour in unusual. It’s nearly impossible to narrow down even if you’re spending a great deal of time in his company.
He finds entertainment in sarcastic commentary and snarky remarks as long as he’s the one making them. He doesn’t appreciate it from others.
When you become comfortable enough to make comments around him, he will ignore them for the most part. If that’s what you want to do then he’s okay with it.
If you say something that’s too inappropriate in his mind, he’ll give you a look before continuing on with the rest of his conversation.
When you do get a real reaction from him is with your commentary on television characters. He’s the jealous type in all aspects.
Gelato
Gelato has a very mixed sense of humour and the more obnoxious or corny a joke is, the better he finds it to be. He laughs like a hyena and it’s infectious.
Pretty much any joke or pun with the right timing can set him off and once he gets on a roll, anything and everything becomes far more entertaining.
He always suspected that your sense of humour could be more perverted but he never knew for sure. He’s very pleased to be proven right.
There’s never a bad time to make a comment near him. He’ll find them funny no matter what, even if there’s a job going on at the moment.
He’s a natural compliment to anything you say, always knowing what to add on to get you to laugh just as hard as he is until your sides are aching.
