What is one fact(or facts) that the CoD community need to accept

That nearly EVERY consort has done at least one seriously questionable action in his book one or has had at least one event in the past three years with a screwed up motive/grey area of consent depending on your trigger.

The exception to the above is Rio/Tino, because they are otome Cinnabons.

And I say this as someone who loves court of darkness as a game. Including the layers to these characters and exploring some of their darker/psychological angles. But those questionable motives include:

ALL the S Ranks using their power on MC in their book one (and some trying to make a move on a frightened MC or forcibly kissing/touching her when she first arrived to Saligia)

Grayson’s drunk kissing as a mechanism to show “passion” for a stoic character (and Fenn sometimes watching)

Events featuring kidnapping/slavery

Events with convenient use of magic to make a normally softer character act questionable (ie, when Voltage wants Lynt to “act more like Guy” it often makes Lynt pushy/not take no as an answer)

All of Jasper’s book one.

Lou’s magic mirror. I don’t wanna imagine the things he’s seen on that. He’s certainly seen enough to cock block a number of consorts at the end of their book ones…💀

And these things don’t mean the characters are bad or others should be/feel ashamed for liking them. Good characters do bad things! Also, bad writing makes characters do bad things 💀

There are a ton of past CoD events, so it’s not stunning there are events with things that make some readers go ICK. It makes the characters human though. But Seriously—Voltage really needs to include trigger warnings.

However, those same character flaws can also make these characters’ good actions rewarding. (Below are just my opinions—others may disagree)

Guy going from non-consensually kissing mc in the prologue to fiercely protecting her from assassins because of his devotion to her is a beautiful character arc to witness. Fenn swinging from butt pinching Knight without consent to craving and asking for tender hugs from mc is endearingly sweet. Roy’s book one confronts his shiny prince persona—including shattering the notion he’s perfect and 100% morally upstanding—and highlights that his true self (a man of principle and kindness) he thinks is his weakness is actually his strength.

So yeah, we need to accept morally grey actions and events from most of the love interests do exist. Unfortunately, there aren’t warnings to alert us to events featuring those grey areas if they are triggering to others.

Okay so, y'all can call me Rumi, I am 20 years old and have just recently joined the Fandom of Journey To The West. I have not yet read the book, but I have the audio book ready and waiting for me.

As you can see on my pfp, I am a fan of Lego Monkie Kid, but at the current moment, I have not yet completed the series. Dw tho, I am slowly progressing to the end.

I like to write and I will drabble some x reader stuff on here for y'all thirsty asses(I am thirsty asses) and I hope you guys will enjoy what I have to offer. My pronouns are she/her but they/them are also cool👍

I am not someone who rlly takes requests. I wrote some stuff before, accepting requests and whatnot, but the sheer amount became overwhelming and quite stressful, which burnt me out. A request or two(or three) is a-okay for me tho.

Share me your ideas!! A drabble is what I enjoy the most and I won't mind making headcannons either, those are quite fun.

Long stories are something I have not yet experimented with, so I don't think I would he making any soon due to my waning motivation levels. A one-shot would probably the most common thing to find here.

Speaking of motivation, I probably won't post a lot, and might dissapear for months on end. I am not dead, I assure you that.

My writing style would probably be prompts or drabbles and the occasional headcanon or two. Long stories will be rare, if not non-existent. I leave those to the more motivated and clearly more talented authors out there.

as far as artemy's mother: she's [here]. i need to redraw her one day but she's one of the three p2 mothers i've drawn (her, stamatina, and dankovskaya). clay type of woman. even if she was a capital/western transplant to the town (as most of the non-Kin people used to be before they started popping out kids. orphans mostly. who didn't start off as orphan due to the Being born thing) i think she really quickly adopted the whole mother earth customs even without fully believe in them because Makes More Sense than sky father being father of everything and woman being born of man's rib, due to the She Can See Kids Are Born From Her. her clay (pottery) work kinda existed in this continuun of Creating Stuff, so was gardening. i think she did a lot of the plates & bowls & cups & whatnot that can still be found in the burakh's lair, all these little cups for mixing tinctures... i think she might even have made a first alambic prototype with a clay body, something like this.

i think she was weakened quite a bit by ersher's birth, and the second birth killed her.

i will not lie to you i don't think much about ersher because i love this ambiguity of it. i love that we know nothing about him except his bonds (burakh's brother, likely burakh's parents' son due to the Family thing), we don't know what he died of, at what age, and if artemy ever knew him. "My older brother. He died young." (artemy's quote) does not even tell us if he even knew ersher. it is implied they must've have at the very least cohabitated for a while, but maybe artemy just knows him from being told about him, but holds him dear enough that he calls him "older brother".

considering kids around 15yo are ruling the town, forming gangs and discussion politically-motivated loveless alliance marriages, i take "young" to mean "under 14", even younger than that. to me, ersher died around 10. i like the number 10, because it is the one who keeps coming back in p1 (10 years since the last outbreak). equally for that numerology grind, i think he and artemy have 5 years difference, for 5 is the number that comes back in p2 (last outbreak). so ersher died at 10 when artemy was 5. i'm not sure what i want him to have died of (.......... very strange formulation but you know what i mean). on one hand, i could see the steppe swallowing him. just straight up doing that. the steppe refuses to eat the elder burakh (cannot be buried, beginning of P2) because he has unfinished business at the surface, swallows the eldest son, refuses to eat the youngest because he must stay on the surface, he is the tether at the surface. i need to check the geology of that part of the eurasian steppe but this ^ would be inspired by something that happens in a land i love, where basically it's a mountain of sometimes-hollow limestone, covered with soft ground, and sometimes a hiker can fall through that soft ground into a big hollow, and never be found, or be found at hunting season when the hunting dogs sniff out the corpse. scary stuff. my other thought is he died... of something "stupid". something that now is very preventable, even easy to help with, but wasn't for a long, long while. cold. flu. some kind of vitamin deficiency. poisoning. tetanus (not "stupid", very dramatic and scary, the vaccine is from 1939). actually i might go with the tetanus thing: it's a really nasty, scary disease (like the pest), but not transmissible. it can happen from getting a wound infected. i think he was handling his father's tool, maybe to learn to butcher; got a cut; got infected; died.

i think artemy was not shielded from seeing this, even if his mother really insisted he be. i think he doesn't remember much, if anything of it; seeing illness does not trigger memory of his brother, but he has this. apple seed of grief inside of him. lodged somewhere all bitter and dark. i think it made him be a little morose as a person, which he still is, but it has been so long it has become his "baseline". i think artemy has very, very little memories of his brother; basically his brain is blank from 5yo and back, most of his core memories come from 7 & up, where he truly bonded with the friends he still has (still tries to keep). i think ersher's death devastated his mom, who was already weakened from the birth, and grief + weakness during the second birth killed her. now i could get into how isidor has made plenty of selfish choices which are are not yes no if you see it that was if you don't see it that way Selfish and he tries to justify and he doesn't and he knows and he doesn't... and what it could have meant for him to try to have a second kid when his wife was like that... because she's not the virgin mary that thang did not pop up like that... there is stuff to say there isn't. she wanted artemy too she did. she just didn't make it to see him.

ersher in my mind didn't get to like. be much of a person due to the Dead At 10 thing, but he was more jolly that artemy has ever been (also i think bc the second son was raised in more morose of an atmosphere, with a dad having already lost a son & his wife). he was a brunette ☝ in my mind mom's blonde & isidor was brown-haired (even if Bald), artemy got mom's blonde & ersher had dad's brown. i think he had his hair longer, And i think stakh, who knew him just a bit longer because barely older than artemy, because he has his whole. gestures. cain and abel if they (tried to) slayed (each other)/wants to be isidor's son sooo bad started growing out his brown hair for that. his problems and issues notice how i keep making it about him. stakh always at the scene of the crime.

Honestly I might just stick to posting here. Being on twitter just really hurts my esteem and motivation. I think I have a little more luck here and I'm grateful for that. Otherwise I'd probably be even more discouraged from doing anything creative. 🫠

I do appreciate people who do frequently share my stuff. I really hope the idea "I appreciate you so so much" and "it's nearly impossible to market my art and I'm fighting an uphill battle that feels pointless and I'm upset over it but there's so many factors at play and I'm terrible at this game" are ideas that can co exist.

im so glad people on tumblr think the dittophobia stuff was ridiculous. i absorbed all that info via twitter (i didn't look here because i honestly didn't think there were people actively keeping track of fnaf lore news on tumblr 💀) and everyone was acting like the fucking. fnaf4 gas chambers solved everything and that it was genius and i felt like i was going insane because what the fuck is all that. that's ridiculous. Are you the one who wrote 'A Jester's Lament'?

What inspired you to write it? (41 chapters!)

Oh no no no, I’d HATE to be that weirdo who wrote 400 pages worth of mario fanfiction! haughty laughter is then interrupted by 500 drawings of Lament Dimentio falling out of my pocket

Tbh what inspired me was. Myself? Weirdly enough? I mean of course SPM being my biggest interest was absolutely part of the reason why it’s so long and why I wrote it to begin with. But what specifically sparked the story of AJL was the fact there was an extremely specific type of Dimentio redemption story I was looking for. Of course, I’m not saying AJL is the first of its kind or something because it most definitely is not lmao😭😭 But there were just some things I preferred in an AU that tries to redeem Dimentio, and after searching for a while for, again, that extremely specific story, I thought, “DUDE JUST MAKE IT YOURSELF💀💀💀💀” and so I did. And a lot of people just ???? happened to like it??? :

Even though story length was one of my specific wants, I highly doubt I could’ve completed 41 chapters without the immense support I received. I genuinely cannot thank you guys enough. Seriously, if you like a fic, I highly highly reccomend commenting. You have no idea how much that means to writers 🤍

I’m putting this under a read more so I don’t clog people’s feed, but if anybody’s curious, some of my specific wants were:

- Length. I needed this fic to be almost unbearably long. I needed people to say GODDD DAAMMMNN when they looked at the word count.

- Dimentio somehow getting more unredeemable before he got redeemed (idk if I fully accomplished that, but I tried) (it’s hard to get worse than the complete annihilation of life) (I just tried not to purposefully write him in a likable way early on in the story)

- Dimentio dying the same amount of times he killed Luigi in the game

- Dimentio in general getting shit absolutely rocked

- Luigi not being a doormat, ESPECIALLY SINCE DIMENTIO ABUSED HIM

- DIMENTIO. BEING. IN. CHARACTER. THIS IS NOT JUST SOME SILLY GOOFY CLOWN!!! HE IS EVIL!!! HE TRIED TO KILL EVERY SINGLE ENTITY THAT HAS EVER EXISTED, DEAD AND ALIVE. HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE TERRIFYING AND SCARY!!! yes he’s naturally charming, write him as such, BUT NEVER FORGET THE THREAT HE IS!!!!

- Dimentio having a backstory that’s emo enough to explain the person he became but not emo enough to be his main source of redemption via pity if that makes sense. I think I achieved this? But of course that’s subjective, and looking back there were better ways to go about it. Basically what I tried to do is give him a good childhood with loving parents- minus the “accident” of course- and have Dimentio himself clarify in Chapter 15:

Basically: the loss of his family and the shit he went through definitely played a role. However, instead of a Blumiere-like “My loved one(s) died, now all worlds are without meaning and deserve to be destroyed,” Dimentio’s grief triggered a very deadly greed that did not revolve around the ones he lost. Blumiere’s motivation for destruction, including himself, was purely the loss of Timpani. Dimentio’s motivation for destruction, excluding himself, was, well, himself. For once, Dimentio wanted to earn, not lose. Making Dimentio have an understandable backstory but be “less sympathetic” than his counterpart, Blumiere, was important to me during the creation of AJL. But this gets extremely complicated because something like hmm uh idk erm MASS MURDER is impossible to truly make sympathetic. Regardless of intention, Dimentio and Blumiere did the exact same thing. Regardless of intention, Dimentio and Blumiere were both selfish. You can’t exactly destroy life itself in a non-selfish way. Both characters are equally unredeemable (or… equally redeemable, technically). Strip their actions down for their bones, and all you’ll see is two characters that tried to ERASE EXISTENCE. Sure, you can FEEL more sympathy for one than compared to the other, but feelings are subjective. Facts are objective. And the fact is, Dimentio and Blumiere attempted mass murder. You see why this is difficult to explain and even more difficult to write? I have a headache. God speed everybody

Morningstar and Fun Facts

AN: Hello fellow Ithaqua simps. Apologies for the long radio silence, college was kinda brutal. I've been wanting to draw something for "Of Vices and Virtues" for a while, but couldn't find the motivation. So, after many months and getting through finals, I offer you this! ...and some fun facts for my previously posted fics. No one asked for them, but I figured it'll be a good way to organize a mini masterlist until I finally gather the motivation to make the official one. Whether you're new here or not, I hope you enjoy!

"Of Vices and Virtues" Fun Facts:

The concept of shadows and light representing vices and virtues, good and evil, was literally just made up on the spot as an excuse as to why the reader is so intrigued by pre-snap Morningstar

I kinda had to get rid of reader's parents somehow to further get across the point of Helel being all you have just as you are all he has, so I made them traitors lol

But also, the sweet sweet taste of betrayal is always worse when it's from the people you trusted the most

Reader's parents were the ones to snitch on Morningstar's mom since they believed she was using witchcraft on you

They just wanted to protect you as you were slowly acting weirder and weirder the more time you spent in the forest

Naturally, the first person they blamed was the lady who everyone already kinda thought was a witch

Really, it's just that your curiosity led to you being enraptured by others "true" selves, warping and twisting your views on people, including yourself

That being said, your light and Helel's shadows being irregular ends up implying that the shadows and light you see never fully expressed whether a person was really "good" or "bad," just as the world is never black and white

Were you always insane? Or was it your abilities that drove you mad? Or perhaps your reliance on said abilities was what brought you to your downfall?

Regardless of what conclusion you come too, I hope it was fun

"Apricity" and "Zephyr" Fun Facts:

I actually only wrote Apricity since a friend said there wasn't enough Ithaqua fics

Legit I didn't feel like writing another fanfic ever again since my first one (I still get nightmares of it every night)

I never intended for Zephyr to exist, but I really wanted to show that one, you aren't an oblivious idiot, and two, you only got that one on one match because you specifically asked for it, worked for it, because you were willing to try and keep him in your life instead of letting him slip away

Because I wrote Zephyr after Apricity, Zephyr built on and sometimes conflicted with Apricity, which led to me straight up having to go back through it at least two hundred times

Despite that, I've kinda already forgotten what happened in both fics 💀

"Sweetest Thing" Fun Facts:

Currently the one and only non-Ithaqua fanfic I have (hint hint)

Another fic for another friend, and honestly I had a blast writing it

More people need to write for the ladies cause I don't see them enough >:[

This idea ended up coming from a random prompt generator that threw at me "royal" and "baking cookies together"

It's extremely attractive when someone tries to cook for you, especially when they aren't good because it shows they care and want you to know they care even though they aren't confident in themself

Their love for you overpowers their fear of failure and the unknown

And failing then trying to do it together is also super sweet

I might end up doing this prompt again but with Ithaqua at some point

(Morningstar accidentally making bread instead of cake or a salty scone instead of a cookie sounds fun too)

"New Beginnings" Fun Facts:

I hate this fic with a burning passion

I put too many ideas in and described too much

Literally I think this is the worst fic I've posted thus far

It was meant to show a world where Ithaqua and Nathaniel are happy siblings, then go into the romance bit with the reader and be all sweet and sappy

This fic made me understand why writers start killing off characters out of nowhere

HOW DO YOU ONLY WRITE FLUFF???

Let me just sprinkle in a little angst,,, just a little...

Half considered shooting Nathaniel mid fic for fun/hj

In conclusion, I'm never writing a fic with more than one central idea ever again

"Mercy" Fun Facts:

Well, first and foremost, the fact that it has a title at all is probably a surprise

Yes, it does have a title, but no, I'll never actually put it there in the post

It doesn't look nice when I do :<

I should probably try and format my posts differently-

It was honestly pretty difficult to write this since I had never gotten a request before and didn't know how to do it

I think in the end, it turned out pretty decent

I hope to get better at writing requests in the future since they make me happy

The prompt actually made me realize that duo hunters is basically a goldmine of opportunities

Jealousy, betrayal, character dynamics, and other things are so much easier to do when you're in the perfect setting for it

"Paper Stars" and "Glass Heart" Fun Facts:

This idea started when I saw a reel on Instagram about this person who made a bunch of paper stars

I've always thought it was cool, and then I remembered the little legend and was like "mmm yes angst"

It was a new flavor too! Unrequited love instead of self sabotage

Oh wait actually it's self sabotage in a trench coat and a hat

Well, technically both since you didn't know that your love wasn't unrequited 

This duo fic was actually gonna be a trio fic with the last one being happy

But I think I like the amount of emotional damage I've inflicted with Glass Heart

(If requested though I'll finish writing the third part)

I actually never had a chance to add this in, but later on, Ithaqua finds out that those who remained in the manor never had to participate in matches again, so his sacrifice was for nothing

I really adore your writing — you make it so easy to get lost in your story; the way you write is just so captivating and beautiful. The transition from scene to scene, or shifts in time, are so smooth, and your prose, imagery and metaphors are nothing short of gorgeous. Omg I'm so sorry, I'm not sure how long this msg has been in my inbox as I haven't gotten on Tumblr in a hot minute. Thank you so much!! I try to include a lot of narrative themes and imagery descriptors because they are what I love reading. Writing this story has been honestly therapeutic for me; I try to approach trauma in a way that feels realistic and messy. I've loved these characters since the tender age of 10-11 and have such nostalgia for them given I sort of grew up alongside them. (I'll date myself here: I used to get Shonen Jump delivered to my house in middle school bc not everything was available fully on my family's dial up internet.💀) I feel that Kishimoto did an incredible job setting up an immersive world with a diverse cast that also allows for a lot of varied character dynamics. It helps with characterization a lot when you have so much to work with already! Exploring those in the BP is the perfect setup as it's got room for extrapolation and filling in the blanks, so to speak.

Anyways I really appreciate the kind words. This story started as just a way for me to read the fic I wanted to read, to be honest. 😂 I've been very influenced by all of the great sasusaku fanfiction that already exists (Ghosts, Home is Where the Heart Is, Of Fate and the Unexpected, Unspoken, Samsara, etc.). There's so much already out there, but it's been quite a ride to throw my hat into the ring. I'm all invested in reader feedback and becoming a better writer in the process now, which is something I never expected. It's been so rewarding in that, as well as realizing someday I may want to write my own fiction with original characters and all that jazz. (I'll have to finish LG first, obviously, though I do have some original stories I add to now and then.)

CHARACTERS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT!!:

- Jacqueline Merry: daughter of Duchess of Towncity (I haven’t come up with a name 💀), has telekinetic abilities and dreams of running away from her family

- Trevor Abbott: servant at the the Duchess estate, mind manipulation abilities, has secret motives to dismantle the hierarchy (WOOO ANARCHY 😋👍)

- Jesse Bailey: genius inventor at age 12, working with Abbott, nobody can tell whether they’re a girl or a boy and Jesse loves the confusion (*cough cough* people in the 1810s being unaware of the concept of non-binary people)

- Tiffany Fletcher: Jacqueline’s best friend (though she doesn’t realize how her controlling attitude harms her dear friend more than it helps her), is determined to find Jackie and bring her home, hero complex 💀

- William Hall: Young Duke from the town over, meant to marry Jacqueline for economic purposes, and though he’s a sweet dude, romance is not really his thing (*cough cough* aro), working with Tiffany to find Jacqueline

BASIC PLOT: Jacqueline has a troubled home life despite having been blessed with money. Her family is demanding, mentally abusive and neglectful, her friends disregard her feelings, and despite always having a smile on her face, Jacqueline has begun contemplating ending it all. That is, until she begins to have visions in her sleep. They hint at the existence of magic beneath the town capable of granting those who earn it great power. She thinks that perhaps with this power, she could finally make the people around her proud.

Within the estate, a newly hired servant, Trevor Abbott, also has been plagued by visions of a magic in the town. Though he has different goals. Having been born into unfortunate circumstances- witnessing his parents fall into debt to the estate, turn to alcohol and eventually loose their lives to it- he seeks to dismantle the hierarchy with this power and free all those under its chains. To do this, however, he must enter the tunnels that lead to the underground of the town- tunnels that happen to be in the very same estate he seeks to destroy. He gets hired as a cleaning servant to snoop around and find entrances to 6 tunnels, all of which contain different pieces that will lead him to the magic.

Abbott and Jacqueline encounter each other on several occasions and form an acquaintanceship based on mutual respect (which is rare since the rich usually treat their servants like trash in this world) (and in the real world too 💀)

Eventually, the Duchess, Jacqueline’s mother reveals that she must marry Duke William Hall from the town over. Jacqueline dreads this and when she tells her parents she does not want to, she is bombarded with insults and blows. Even Tiffany, her best friend, brushes off her feelings. Jacqueline runs away that night, with whatever wish to make her family proud turned into pure spite, hatred and sadness.

She finds a cottage to rest in for the night and SURPRISE SURPRISE it’s Abbott’s!!!!!!!!! They talk and soon realize they both have had visions of the magic and they form…..AN ALLIANCE!! Pledging to rid the world of all higher power so that no one may suffer their abuse any longer

With Duke Hall and Tiffany hot on their trail, Abbott and Jackie have got to find the artifacts in the tunnels as soon as possible to reach the magic and achieve their goals!!!

And you had been yawning a lot lately that day

And Bo just thought all of a sudden “what would happen if i stuck my finger mid-yawn??”

So he just does 

You recoil so fast

What the heck guy?

And you didn’t get to finish yawning :’(

So now you're sad

But then you hear Bokuto laughing so hard

And he just looks so cute and happy 🥺

He quickly goes over to you and gives you kithes 

You can tell he’s immediately sorry

So you're not sad anymore :)

“Sorry baby, you should have seen the look on your face, it was so cute. I won't do it again though”

True to his word, he doesn’t do it again, but you wouldn't have minded if he did it again if it meant seeing him happy 🥰 

Kuroo

You had asked kuroo to come over to your house to help you study for an upcoming test 

But mostly because you wanted to spend time with him 

shhhh he didn’t need to know that

You both were at your desk and you were spacing out, because you already knew most of the subject at hand 

So you subconsciously yawn out of boredom 

What you weren’t expecting was Kuroo’s big ass finger in your mouth

You're quick to pull his hand away and hit his arm

“Tetsurooo what the heck?”

The little shit has the audacity to smile innocently at you

“You weren't paying attention, so i thought you needed a little motivation.” :)

“I’m going to bite you next time.”

He just rolls his eyes at you and laughs

You both continue to study and you quickly forget about what had happened

It had started to get late, so in turn you started to get tired

Which leads to you yawning once again 

And here comes Kuroo’s finger again

He yelps loudly 

“I thought you were playing when you said you’d bite me!”

You feel bad now…...kind of 

He shoves his finger into your face

“Kiss it better”

You do 

You give him plenty of kisses

Tendou

This was a game of back and forth between y'all 

Tendou had started it a while back when you were at practice

Being the shiratorizawa volleyball boy’s manager caused you to be tired often 

During break he just shoved his finger down your mouth when you yawned

You weren’t gonna have none of that so you also tried doing the same thing to him

You both play fighted until coach Washijo yelled at you guys to stop

Now whenever either of you yawns a finger by the other always follows

You’re sitting across from each other at lunch and you yawn, this long boi reaches across the table as quickly as he can

Scaring your friends around you in the process

The boys are outside jogging and they had just finished their laps and you're talking with Shirabu, then out of your peripheral you see Tendou yawn

You sprint away from a startled Shirabu and jump up to stick your finger in his mouth

Poor Wakatoshi is so confused

Both of you keep track of who’s fallen for it the most and has done it the most times

“That doesn’t count tendou, you just pried my mouth open and just shoved your finger in!”

“You liked it though”

That smug punk

“Let’s see how you like it!”

Cue the both of you play fighting once more 

Oikawa

Oikawa was known to tease you often

So it didn’t really surprise you that much when he stuck his finger in your mouth when you yawned

You didn’t mind it too much 

You mostly let him get away with it because he’s cute or whatever 

The next time he decided to do it was weeks after the first time he did and you were walking home with him and Iwaizumi

“You know she’s gonna get you back one of these shitty-kawa.”

Oikawa pulls you into a hug and sticks his tongue out at Iwaizumi

“Yeah right Iwa-chan, my baby would never betray me like that”

You did betray him....

You and the 3rd years were hanging out at Matsukawa’s place like you guys always did on weekends to mostly playing games, catching up on schoolwork, or watch movies

During this instance you all were watching a movie and you were sharing a seat with oikawa with his head on your shoulder dozing off 

And he was also yawning a lot 

So you agreed with yourself to stick your finger in his mouth the next time he yawns just to give a little bit of his own medicine

It didn’t take too long for him to yawn so you quickly stick your finger in his mouth

You might have also accidentally stuck your finger too far into his mouth causing poor bby Oikawa to gag a little and bite your finger

Not just bite, but CHOMP down on your finger

“Oooow! Zumi-chan, Toru bit me, kiss it better”

Both Matsukawa and Hanamaki are laughing their asses while you walk away from Oikawa, who’s spewing apologies, to Iwaizumi who’s shoving your hand away from your face 

“Get your hand away from me, go tell your boyfriend to kiss it!”

“Yeah! Let me kiss it better” Oikawa is pouting and making grabby hands at you 

Matsuka then thinks, hmmm lemme play devil’s advocate for a bit and stands up from the floor to walk towards you “i’ll kiss it better”

Chaos

Oikawa runs the fastest he ever has to Matsukawa and holds him by the waist to keep from going any further “get your own y/n they're mine!”

Matsukawa starts yelling “let me go, I was playing!”

“No, you’re just saying to make me let go and smooch y/n!”

Now you’re yelling, trying to help Matsukawa “Toru he didn’t mean it, I'll let you kiss my finger better!”

Hanamaki only adds to the noise by laughing louder while filming all the chaos

Poor Iwaizumi looks like he’s about to blow a fuse from all the yelling

Lord please give him the strength 

Atsumu

This little shit does it to you all the time

Even before you both started dating he’d do it as often possible

It was cute at first because you had the biggest crush on him and were absolutely whipped for him

Ok you still are (you don’t tell him this because you try not feed his already big ego too much) but you both act like an old married couple now

“Remember when you used to be all over me when we first started dating, i sure wouldn’t mind it if you went back to that” Atsumu leans in close to you

You flick his nose to back him off a bit “YOU were the one who was all over me, hell, you're more handsy now”

“Get a room!”

“Be quiet Osamu-kun” “shut yer trap Samu!”

The way you’d normally react to Atsumu’s finger down your mouth now was to usually roll your eyes and lightly pinching him or your personal favorite

“Next time you do that it's on sight” 

“That’s an empty threat baby”

Yeah, your threats were playful banter,,,,only like 90% of the time-- anyways

It had never occurred to you that you’ve never done the same to him

Thing was....he hardly yawned so you had to come up with a different approach

The first time you tried it was when you guys were having a lunch date at a coffee shop and when he tried to take a mouthful of his desert you intercepted his spoon

The face he made was priceless, Atsumu got huffy with you, but was quickly forgotten about and you both went back to eating

What atsumu didn’t know was a monster was created in that moment

You started sticking your finger in his mouth just as much he did, if not more 

“Dammit yer doing wrong y/n! Yer ‘sposed to wait unti-”

“I don't care” and there goes your finger 

Atsumu had called you over one weekend and so both of you were squished together on a couch in the living room

“I'm calling a truce, i won’t mess with ya if you don’t mess with me”

He was surprisingly being the voice of reason for once, but that honestly didn't seem fun

“Hmmm, okay, but i want kisses as compensation since you started this”

Atsumu’s more than happy to oblige “say less”

Hidden Gems by scoradh

Scoradh is another personal fave that I don’t see being recced as much as she should, or at all. Which is a shame because her HP fics are absolutely brilliant! Most of her works were written back in 2005-2008 and updated later on AO3 so maybe that’s why they’re all hidden gems? You should all go check her LJ page too, which is where I found out she’s in her 30s now, and that knowledge left me shooketh. How is that even possible?! Guess some people are born genius like that 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m listing below some works that may have fallen off the radar, Drarry and rare pairs at your heart’s content. Tbh I haven’t read some of those more than twice because this author has a penchant for MCD 💀 I don’t go there anymore but those fics still left a big impression on me not only in terms of world building and narrative but also in terms of clever dialogue and characterization, chef’s kiss content.

Rachel’s writing is unique, charming and full of wit; it builds the mood effortlessly and allows the characters to come alive and work their way inside your heart with their banter, their pining, that sexy angst and those emotional endings. I love her perception of Harry and Draco as two quirky, vulnerable, edgy and complex creatures. This is the kind of author that gets me willing to try pretty much everything they decide to write no matter the ship or trope. Mind the tags and feast on these treats!

Drarry

Clear As Mud (2005, M, 10k) - brilliant fwb, pining & jealousy, miscommunication, mentions to infidelity (Hinny). One of my favourite Dracos ever!

Drawing Down The Moon (2006, E, 20k) - another fave with disaster Draco and pining Harry giving him some love advice, fake relationship, found family, all the good stuff. Cw: major character death

After breaking up with Blaise, a drunken Draco begs Harry Potter for help in winning him back. In a fit of misguided philanthropy (plus one or two ulterior motives) Harry agrees. In the midst of the ensuing chaos, at least one person falls in love.

DIY Messiah (2008, M, 26k) - so well written! friends to lovers slow burn, kid fic, divorced Draco, living together. Cw: infidelity (Hinny) - Ginny is awful here, you’ve been warned

my favorite female character: easily sakura. she is the most realistic and relatable. i also love her development. and no, im not talking about the whole “oh she was annoying and weak and now she’s strong” her development is much more that that. she went from an insecure girl that sought validation for confidence to a strong, independent, and confident girl. and she did it all for herself too. she cares deeply for her friends and i love how their happiness is her motivation. she’s also such a sweet and loving person. she is in touch with her emotions and openly shows them too. all in all, she’s the type of person i wish to be.

all the characters had more potential, not just the women. but I am glad for what we got.

my favorite male character: ok i think sasuke is the best written male character and he is one of my top favs but imma say sai. i rlly like his character and his backstory. everything about him was so interesting and i rlly wish we got more content of him.

my favorite book/season/etc: imma say my fav novel. sakura hiden :)

my favorite episode (if its a tv show): guess i will say my fav arc. probably chunin exams or land of waves

my favorite cast member: 🤷🏻‍♀️

my favorite ship: sasusaku. i don’t think i have to explain

a character I’d die defending: sakura. she gets hate for no good reason

a character I just can’t sympathize with: danzo ig

a character I grew to love: ino 😭 i was tired of the bickering okay 😭😭 (i only found her annoying)

firstly, for naruto, i only ship canon. i do multi ship but it depends on the content.

sns: i usually love brotherly relationships but i don’t even care about these twos as much tbh…so how could I ship them 😭 i just see them as bros and barley care for their relationship, sorry. also, i just can’t ship people that openly express that they see each other as siblings.

sk: i am not explaining why this ship isn’t my thing. i don’t think i need too…

sh: crack ship that i can get why it simply exists but just can’t
