it was a fun practice to get back in the habit, nice and quick and dirty. i like to think i now have a stronger grasp of the armor, but we will find out tomorrow when i try and continue drawing my wol in it without a one on one reference. please dont mind the misspelling im dyslexic as fuck and to tired to redo a letter of something i did in 5 min to use the empty space

#my art #my ocs #illustration #original art #I've been really pleased with my recent MSpaint illustrations these past few weeks hehe!!#I suppose it's just the simplicity of the program that helps me create mini narratives throughout them #I'm about to craft some snippits of story and hopefully whoever looks at them can point out those tiny details #As for these two in general I've been on a grind to draw more four-legged animals so here we are!!#I have to say hooved beasts like elk are deceivingly simple #I understand the bones and underlying structures fine/ it's just capture that accurate look at gets me #In my case its mostly the hindlegs and ankles I'll need to keep praciting #I'll need to do more proper studies in the future because as you see these two are very stylized and I just needed things to look 'right'#BUT from what I've learned and what I've drawn I'm happy with the elk I drew so all is well and cheerful hehe

I'm heading back to the vet tomorrow. Earlier than the appointment that was scheduled for a followup (on the 24th). He's on day six out of ten for his ear medications for a "mild bacterial infection" and I'm not seeing as much improvement as I would like. Maybe I'm administering his ear medication wrong or not enough (I wish they had shown me a better demonstration on how to do it beforehand... they didn't before because they had already applied it and just told me to do a line from the inner ear and drag it up ? so that's what I've been doing) so I'm just worried. Maybe I'm not going deep enough into the ear canal or something. There was a day he was straight up not eating his treats (and he's typically very treat motivated). He's very lethargic, very quiet and withdrawn, I can tell his pulse is racing, his eyes are still goopy and nose is congested. Honestly, I think he might've been dealing with a fever with how hot his ears were I had to dab a cool damp cloth around his face in the hopes it helped. He seemed receptive but idk ): I FEEL LIKE SUCH AN INADEQUATE MOTHER. I'M FAILING HIM. Anyways, I just need the vet to take a look and make sure. And if I'm not administering his medicine right then at least they can show me how to. Pics below of the day he got his medicine / ear cleaned vs day five at home. His ear seems less red and he's not twitching his ears as much in discomfort but the ear still doesn't look... well... great? :| Sigh.

#aev rambles #im venting mostly but honestly i cant tell if that's just ear wax or if it's just his infection coming on strong and im not doing a good jo #ugh i hate seeing him in pain #this doesn't even address the bald patches and dry/scaly skin on the back of his hind legs or his paws #which im not sure about if that's making improvement either. been using the mousse but yea..#he's been eating the probiotics just fine though at least.

I got bit by a recluse spider last night n I have this huge rash on my leg but more importantly I've been hallucinating bugs crawling on me on and off for the past 12 hours

#dw ab the bite btw it's fine #ppl hype up venomous spiders so bad but majority don't even inject venom most of the time #Or the venom has like a 20% chance of causing you an allergic reaction if you're just one of those people with the gene™️#will keep an eye on it tho mostly it's just a lot of swelling & itchy lol #Also !!
