#clemart #uhm. yeah sure boss up #ttcc #toontown corporate clash #mac opsys #winn dos #<- technically #Crome #idk i got inspired by a lot of the cog fusions going around. a lot of my notes are in the second one #if you can read them. i rushed them bc i wasnt planning on sharing but some of my friends like them ++ i had a change of heart #i dont think ive seen a toon/toon fusion so heh.. you know what i had to do #actually ive had the idea for a little bit. i just needed a push of inspiration #i tried to make them a nice mix between the two but i fear they lean too heavily on one side or another..sighs and kicks rock #technically speaking i wouldve left their arms a solid blue or maybe a blue/white. but i feel like with the hair the yellow is #blocked out. so i thought doing half blue half yellow would be a bit more balancing #like winns (and macs to a degree) design i put the green on the clothing rather than the body #this is a little more colorful than what i think is possible but tch whatever. sniffles. gets scared #i think ive given up on trying to keep drawing toon species that are only in game. go my bugs and jerboas who cares anymore #i might remove the blue from the tail later..idk....

First Ghost doodle page of the year! As I test out a new way of maybe drawing their cloak, based on a headcanon of mine.

#hollow knight #little ghost #hk ghost #the knight #basically. the vessels' ''cloaks'' are without a doubt part of their body in some way. given that the dead vessels in the abyss have them #so... i figure maybe they're wings? admittedly i don't know enough about bug biology to know what else would make sense #(. though bug biology *does* go out the window when talking about vessels regardless dgshfgsf)#but there are other instances of tendril-y wings in the game (eg radiance grimmchild maskflies belflies etc) so! visually it checks out #but for whatever reason. ghost's wings don't naturally work #could be that they just hatched that way. could be from damage from the abyss. could be from the void halting the wings' development #not sure! but the mothwing cloak and monarch wings restore some functionality to ghost's natural wings #with whatever magic is embedded within the items #the mothwing cloak lets ghost propel themself forward with their wings #and the monarch wings temporarily transforms them into wings that actually work properly #so anyway! i decided to test out making the cloak more wing-like! ghost can wrap them around the front of their body #or they can just rest behind them like a cape #and they're translucent so some of their dark colour just comes from them being up against ghost's body #not sure if i'll keep drawing the cloak like this but! it was neat to test out at least!#and i'm really happy with how these three drawings came out <3 #good first art of the new year! ...even if i actually did the lineart in 2024 and just procrastinated on doing the shading dgsgshf

I’m mostly staying off the Mouthwashing fandom bc I personally don’t want to put myself through whatever discourse is ever going on there. But know I love Anya and Mouthwashing is one of the best games I’ve played that had an SA survivor AND was respectful about it!! The abuse Anya suffered is never portrayed as a spectical for the audience to leer at. They use the art of implication VERY well, and in the end Anya gets to go out dignified. She’s not just Jimmy’s tradgic victim, she’s her own character who makes her own decisions. Jimmy doesn’t get to kill her, she expresses her own agency to do so. She’s also the one who kept the gun away from him for so long. Also she’s SO fucking strong, she’s so cool. Anya I love you.

Also the game’s overarching (but subtle) commentary on rape culture, enabling, and how capitalism almost makes a set dressing for it is peak.

#there’s the easy fandom stuff I don’t like #like the idea Curly is ethier ‘did no worng’ or ‘did his best’#don’t get me wrong I LIKE curly #but he is COMPLICT in what happened to Anya and how it was handled #the bug theme of the game is take responsibility #also I think the fandom thing of ‘Swansea would’ve killed Jimmy if he had known’ has some… weird implications #like Anya didn’t need some big man savior to kill Jimmy for her #she needed Curly her BOSS to side with her and prioritise her safety #Swansea is cool- don’t get me wrong #but the implication everything would have been ok had Anya just told her OTHER (more of a ‘real man’) co worker #feels… icky?#Like I think he would’ve helped her but honestly? he was Jimmy and Curly’s subordinate too #I do think he would have pressed curly and helped Anya #but I’m the way he did in canon- as a supporter #maybe it would’ve been different if he knew Anya could survive #but honestly him letting her go out how she chose and then killing her abuser is based #bc like only Daisuke was going to survive in their minds #but you can tell he gave Anya power in the planning #maybe I’m reading into it #oh and also Anya should get to kill Jimmy with a hammer and then get a free abortion (paid by Curly- TAKE RESPONSIBILITY)#I do think he’d pay if he could- he understands what it’s like to be under Jimmy’s power now #Curly should also pay for her nursing school #as a thank you for being a saint and keeping his ass alive and in the least amount of pain she could #she’s a real one #anya mouthwashing #mouthwashing #also hi def mentioned this on my blog before (bc it’s helpful to be semi-open about it to get rid of shame and embarrassment I find)#but the way Anya is handled is very personal to me as a SA Survivor <3 and that’s the lens all of this is coming from-#she deserves the world

I've started playing Potion Permit, and so far it's one of my favorite games I've messed around with, but the most big brained move the devs made was giving you a dog on day 1, and then making that dog able to track NPCs and lead you directly to them no matter where they are in the town.

#im still early game but i like the play and the writing is passable #like #Theres a flatness #the characters Are distinct but theyre mostly just their jobs #with only a few who stand out and have like. something to really grab onto #Like rue? rues entire deal is little girl you can date. Nothing else behind those eyes. She has nothing better to talk to you about #than the fact her favorite color is red #Sorcelia? Sorcelia is a goth nun who loves singing and teaches one of the village children #Reynerd? sure is a guy #got nothing else to say about him. hes just a Guy™. Victor? Has ghost friends and loves bugs and cares deeply about the cemetery #he tends to. At the moment it feels like they're trying to imply there aren't actually ghosts. and hes just talking to himself/#insisting his imaginary friends are real people #and so far? The games been cool about it. Victor's a member of his community and his eccentricities are accepted and not ridiculed #all four characters ive mentioned are romance candidates. but its just as hit or miss with the regular towns folk #Opalheart is an older woman and a world renowned blacksmith who only takes jobs if they will do Good. regardless of whether or not they #pay well. She declines to make a dagger for a rich man but makes a helmet for a childs father bc the girl asked #and olive is here #anyways you can be best friends with a cat (shes just a regular cat) and i appreciate that #idk im putting it above sun haven in my ranking of life sim games #purely because there are older romance candidates.#no fat romance candidates. but sun haven doesn't have thise either.#and sdv has neither fat or old candidates Nor can you fuck a cat boy. it goes at the bottom.#gameplay wise sunhaven is at the bottom then sdv then potion permit at the top. sunhaven has the Most™ but having #a lot of crap doesn't mean its fun and it ends up making half the game feel really incomplete #idk. Sdv is a game you should've started playing a year ago. sun haven is a game that perpetually needs another year worth of updates #before id say its worth it bc the devs keep pushing content ™ updates instead of quality of life or polish so what is there is uh #Bad. plentiful. and a large portion is good #but a Lot is just bad.#its insincere and cant take itself seriously it gives you (the right dialogue option) an (the shit joke option) which is worse than just #i ram out of space. tldr. potion permit is good Now. sdv Was good. sun haven Might be great Eventually

Honestly...I'm debating if I should even pick this up.

I know, for the whole package, $38 is a good price, especially since it's such a new release, but...I've owned half the package for years. It's called Sonic Generations. (Espio's Classic mission was a bitch to S rank, I don't know how y'all perfectly execute swings like that.)

Shadow's levels look cool and have neat concepts, like being able to take alternate paths if you use Chaos Control at certain points, although I really don't know if it'll be another "yeah the game is alright, but..." I'm willing to be surprised, though after Frontiers and seeing the Gens rewrite, I'm pretty sure I'll end up frustrated again.

I don't know if I want to pay almost $40 just to feel frustrated.
