riri, i've seen many people say that the queuing system based on the time of purchase is frequently used in asia and i wanted to ask if you've seen it used for larger crowds too and if it works as well as for smaller crowds? i'm guessing it needs a ton of coordination from the venue, but since it's the first time i heart about it and on paper it looks really interesting, i wanted to ask you your experience with it?

so far, it's been used for larger crowds, but it also works for smaller crowds. i've not experienced it for smaller crowds though.

the camping culture before for the shows are similar to what happens in usa/europe where people would camp days (or a week) before the actual show. based on my past concerts, when i attended some kpop shows, the shows are usually announced in advance and then the fans are given a few weeks to prepare for the actual ticketing.

the queuing number will then be generated based on the time and date of purchase of your ticket. so basically, the earlier you buy your ticket on the day of the ticketing, the lower qn you'll get. so if you purchase your ticket on the dot, the bigger chance you'll get of getting a lower qn.

then a week or a few days before the shows, the promoter will release a special link where you'll input your ticket number or reference no. and it will generate your queue number for you. here's an example of a queue number (from my past show hehe) the 2593542 is the ticket number:

you'll show this queue no. then get in line according to the other guidelines released by the promoters prior the show.

this system was also used in ltwt in manila although since there was a venue change, the prior queuing for the first venue was changed and lnph asked the attendees to fill out a google form. same thing applied there - the faster you fill out the form when it's released, the lower qn you'll get.

with this system in place, although lines and crowds are harder to control for bigger show, at least concert goers have proper guidelines prior to the shows re: where to line up and what time to line up.

ok well i just beat sonic superstars . positives are that its cute and fun the new zones are cool and i really like trip and its neat to see fang make a comeback and for amy to be playable from the start in a classic game for once . but one major negative is that this game is overpriced for what it is. sega was so wrong for thinking that sonic superstars is worth the same amount of money as sonic frontiers whether we're talking about base game frontiers or including the free updates. basically its a decent game not one of my favorites but i had fun with it. but if youre willing to wait for it to go on sale to get it that would definitely be a smart move

Don Quixote and really any old classic like Journey to the west or Hamlet is so fucking brilliant in showing us just how different shit was back then. Like, no, Cervantes probably wasn’t thinking about the slow burn crumbling collapse of capitalism while writing his knight fanfic to pose as a middle finger to the Spanish empire at the time. He probably wasn’t thinking about the struggles of modern day queerness and how his story fits into our language today, he probably just wanted his two little bros to kiss. He wasn’t thinking that far into the future cuz he thought that the way things were would always be that way forever. Empires feel like they’ll last forever. All ancient kingdoms and cities thought they were so impenetrable to time that they didn’t even BOTHER writing down how basic things such as how their food was made or how their language worked cuz they thought it was just gonna be like that forever. Cervantes wasn’t thinking about documenting how he got his book through strict catholic law or the societal expectations of the poor and disabled at the time cuz he thought those expectations would last forever. We always think of late stage capitalism and the right wing regime and conservativeness as this thing that’s always gonna be around forever. It’s gonna slowly kill us all eventually cuz it’s so all-consuming. But ALL great kingdoms thought that. Throughout human history the power hungry thought they were unstoppable. But look at how many ruins are scattered across earth now.
