People stopped being like. weird about vampires a while ago (in the "I don't mind that you're a vampire but I'm not letting you inside unless I have a stake on me" way, people still want to fuck vampires) but Valsartan keeps forgetting that and so he kind of just keeps running with his old over complicated reasons for why he's Like That™ instead of thinking of normal ones.

#hm i should make an original art tag #darth maul #maul #asajj ventress #senator maul au #the other two nightsisters are just random designs not ocs or canon characters i just wanted to add more dathomirians #because making maul the shortest in a group is one of my favorite visual gags #and i think it's fun that he'd be the most 'colorful' of the group #all clothes are reds n grays because i got lazy . i am not great at designing outfits. and even worse at picking colors for the designs #i gave him (all of them really) silver-ish jewelry because 1. i like the color more and 2. more fitting imo. silver is more magic propertie #i think in this au ventress is in the age range wookieepedia lists as her legends age. so she's like. younger than padmé #an apprentice senator. still learning about the senate and senatorial life so she can take maul's place when he quits #i think the other half of the delegation (or at least the other senator) would be significantly older than them. they're both so young #they need an older person who can be the voice of reason and experience #ventress gets big clotheys because 1. she's a teen here she deserves the proper coverage and 2. it's fun to go the opposite route of usual #fantasy designs where the guy gets a lot of layers and the girl gets clothes that show too much skin #but don't worry he IS wearing space underwear. a bad (or good) camera angle will not catch sight of his peanus in that second sketch

Okay, I need to know how Sparrow's job was saved by Boreas. What did he do that let her win the case?

Also, was there a reaction from the High class Ancients as for why Boreas was defending Sparrow?

Boreas' involvement with the case was all very hush hush. he reached Deep into his big macho core to pull out some of that feminine manipulation and planning skills (oh wow he has those) and called up Sparrows. with her, he was all genuine and gentle for once. cuz she was all stressed, her eyes were puffy from crying cuz she just doesn't know how to save this (she studied as a Mechanic not a Lawyer, goddammit!!! she doesn't know this! neither do i so gimbe a break if anythin) and he admitted to himself that "alright Three Sparrows can be a part of the family, the girl is now my responsibility to keep safe" those two years ago

so he tells her that he has a plan. it shall be based from the truth- she trusted Euros with telling her about things like that, she was "too" kind- but we shall spin it even further without revealing your two's relationship. Boreas kind of played the role of her lawyer, basically

the main key was getting some evidence to back up the claims that Three Sparrows on a Wire is far too empathetic when interacting with Iterators. Boreas guided Sparrows to call upon her old teachers/school for evidence of that (and also then to show off her good grades to prove that she Is competent). the evidence, of course, ends up being all the footage of her lessons and tests that's saved in Boreas' memory since he has his consciousness in the entirety of the facilities and the city. he IS the security system of himself

now, taking out things from Boreas' memories isn't such an uncommon thing. it is invasive and typical Iterators don't have to go thru this, but he does. accessing him like this is usually done for quite recent things to prove a crime or smth, however. Sparrows attended the school like 40 years ago so it requires a Deep Dive into his memories and oh he HATES that. so That's a little sacrifice he does for her sake. opens his mind up to smth like that and lets people dig through him for the required footage without trying his damnest to be inconvenient like usually

with this memories combing thing also comes being a lil shady about stuff like this, too (needs to keep his memories of spending time with Zephyr a secret from his Houses). so he helps Euros falsify some of his own memories to make himself look worse and Sparrows better (cuz what can they do against their Own Iterator? they won't reset/wipe him over This)

and so all of this proves that Sparrows was sort of a damsel in distress in the Rot situation and got bitten terribly because of being a Good person. they can't fire her for being just a good person! that would look bad in their little religious community!!!! so she gets off with the warning/requirement to be sharper and... more merciless/meaner (they say "strict") while interacting with Euros i suppose

n das how Boreas bails her out!

#Spot says stuff #rw #oc tag #boreas n sparrows r especially fascinating to me cuz like! boreas has known her longest out of the anemoi iterators. she has forged Some-#-kind of bond to him before anyone else really. their relationship goes through the most drastic changes from boreas lightly bullying her-#-during her school days to Almost managing to kill her and be her first death and then it ends with him letting her teach him how to sing-#-and even check up on his puppet's internal systems. he hasn't had a check up in Centuries. everyone just counts on his self-sufficiency #one of sparrows favorite songs is iris covered by chris lanzon. she once plays it through her phone while hanging out with boreas n they-#-just. end up sitting side by side sharing a quiet moment while they listen to a sad song. it helps forging a certain kinship between the 2 #their journey is so fascinating to me n seein Boreas lettin himself open up n care for n hide under his chlamys an ancient is... wow...#hes the angry guy!! hes supposed to be the mad sharp one! but then he softly pulls her against his side because shes shivering and like oh #-slaps the top of me blog- dis do be full of euros but fun fact my favorite child is still boreas

Her husband walked out on her in 1953, leaving her to care for three young kids on her own. She worked long hours which met that Henry and Jen had to take care of themselves and their little brother, Lewis

Clara started sleeping over on the weekends and Marigold started thinking of her as another daughter and the twins were teens Peter started staying over as well as William and his little sister, Eleanor-Josephine

She was the most stable adult in all of their lives. She took of Clara after her mother died, took Peter in after his dad kicked him out, and helped William with the paperwork to gain custody of Eleanor-Josephine

Marigold also treated the Afton kids like they were her actual grandkids from the moment Michael was born

After Charlie died, she tried to help Henry but it was clear he didn’t want help so she flew out to help Evangeline and Sammy instead. When Evangeline died and Jen was named Sammy’s legal guardian, she was there to play support as well

Marigold died in 1997 at age 78

#Clara’s mom died when she was 17 and her dad traveled for work - Clara spent the week with her grandparents then the weekend with Marigold #I know I didn’t mention Lewis but there’s a whole thing about him and his daughter - they’re some of my most favorite fn-af ocs #okay her and Jen have a bit of a rocky relationship but Marigold would still do anything for her #Sammy was 16 when Evangeline died #“but glitch - this is all Marigold helping others what about her?#to which I say - Marigold stays busy so she doesn’t have to think. she does genuinely love her family and would do it anyway but that’s-#-part of the reason #(funfact! if the funeral wasn’t filled with people who wanted him dead William would’ve came!)#(instead he visits her grave and apologizes for who he turned out to be)
